There is a kingdom which overflows with song, a sunlit land of the myrrh-merry and may-marry. Here reigns a grand Merchant King, whose table is long and whose art is in promise.
As part of the @fallenlondonficswap 2024, a piece I wrote for @house-of-mirrors !! I've been wanting to explore Merchant King Wines since I read about it (Cricket, Anyone? ES), so this mix of FL-typical horror and alcohol jokes was the perfect excuse hehehe

Gluttony x the reporter
Kingdom of the Cursed
Whatever levity Gluttony had been feeling was gone in an instant, replaced by an icy glare. I followed the direction of his gaze, surprised to find the object of his loathing was a beautiful, prim noblewoman. Her pale blue hair was coiffed in the style of proper English ladies and her elegant dress buttoned up to her neck. She wore kidskin gloves that ended past her elbows and an expression of revulsion as she spied the host, her gaze cutting from across the room. She leaned next to her companion and whispered something that sent the other noblewoman tittering.
"If you'll excuse me." Gluttony's mood darkened further. "There's a party crasher in our midst." Without uttering another word, Gluttony strode off toward the giggling ladies.
"She's a journalist from the Shifting Isles. And she rarely has anything flattering to say about the royals in this realm. She's been particularly vicious with Gluttony." [...] She called his last gathering 'perfectly ordinary and utterly contrived. A predictable, uninspired evening.' " [...] My brother quoted it so often, it stuck. Gluttony was furious. He has since thrown the most lavish, over-the-top, debauched parties he can." "He wants her to eat her words." "Amongst other things, no doubt." I couldn't help but smile. "Hate is a powerful aphrodisiac for some."
Kingdom of the Feared
"Prince Gluttony is correct about one thing-his feast will make guests wish he'd end them all."
Gluttony's easygoing smile vanished. "My dear, if my parties had the ability to kill, I'd personally deliver your invite."
"That was as clever as your idea to lace wine with slumber root, promptly knocking all your guests out. At least that time it wasn't sheer boredom that put them to sleep." She gave him a cutting smile before dropping into a curtsy.
"Trust me, demons are not just asking about the curse's return. They live in fear some superior reporter with a penchant for snobbery will ruin their good time." Gluttony shooed her away, promptly earning a fierce glare.
Gluttony robbed his hands together, a devious expression falling into place. "You know? That viper gave me a great idea I think I'll offer her a glass of wine laced with slumber root and kick her and her assistant out. Then we'll see who thinks I'm unclever. At least we won't have to worry about your coronation party hitting the gossip columns."
He glanced around a crowded room, pausing on where Gluttony and the columnist stood a foot apart, not speaking.
Throne of the Fallen
Gluttony at the very least ought to know better-he was currently involved in a war with his own reporter in the Seven Circles.
Gluttony's reporter printed this just today.
Before this article was submitted to print, the ever-lacking Prince Gluttony was questioned about a guest he'd hosted the previous night, but he refuse to comment or confirm any part in the game. [...] Gluttony remained mum, hinting only that it was likely a lover sneaking out after overindulging in sin. [...] That the prince would attempt to play coy and fail spectacularly is unsurprising. Gluttony is the least clever of his brothers.
The reporter he was feuding with hadn't responded to the invitation Envy had sent, and he was sure Gluttony's foul mood had nothing to do with that.

still mad about Sonia being the beautiful kind motherly figure to zelda only to get fridged after like four cutscenes so that Rauru can get angry and that's the entire purpose she served in the story
anyway I still think having a Rauru/Sonia role reversal au is a good idea

I'm adding onto a previous post talking about my dislike about the zonai being before skyward sword and I would like to add to it via one of my major sources of proof on how the zonai are the bi-product of the fallen hero timeline. Every other timeline, ganon is man. in the fallen timeline, almost every game has ganon being a pig man.
Dont believe me? Look at this!
Link to the past
Oracle of seasons and ages
link between worlds
The first LOZ game ever
Legend of Zelda, link's adventure death screen.
If we're looking at the timeline of LOZ, fallen hero one is where this pattern shows up. Does it happen before the time line splits? Yes in four swords games, but that seemed to be the form chosen by Demise to take and not the one he is forced to use. I will explain that.
The plot of the fallen timeline is ganon trying to revive himself properly and take over the land of hyrule. In the first game of this timeline, ganon was trying to merge the dark realm and the reason why I bring this up is the fact that I'm pretty sure pig ganon is what ganondorf looks like in the dark realm.
In oracle of seasons and ages, Twinrova is trying to revive ganon? They failed to use Zelda and uses themselves to bring back ganon, but it's wrong as ganon is mindless and just want to kill everything.
Yuga really wants to revive ganon and take over the two worlds in link between worlds. She successfully does this but merges herself with ganon, causing a weaker version of what ganon actually is.
The first game that started all of this madness with link and Zelda, has ganon (still a pig man) a mindless killer who is hellbent on destroying hyrule.
In LOZ two, links adventure, link is actively trying to prevent ganon being revived as link himself is the key to his revival.
All of this being cause by two people.
Ganondorf being sealed by Rauru.
There is a pattern here, in first four swords, ganon was intelligent and cunning even as a massive pig being. The demise decided that being a Gerudo is easier to try and take over the world with thanks to success in the fallen hero version of ocarina of time, and that why he took ganondorfs form in the distant past of Totk because he has succeeded in the past! What happened in the game is Demises soul getting to cocky and was inevitably sealed by rauru and Totk Zelda did something really impulsive.
Demise has to revert to using the pig man form, and in the fallen timeline thanks to that fact, ganon quickly loses his intelligence thanks to him being revived not reincarnated.
That the major thing in the fallen timeline, ganon being revived over and over and over again to the point that the calamity version of ganon is just a desperate attempt of being reincarnated but it doesn't work.
That is all I'm going to say on this subject, for now.
