I feel like nobody is talking about this in the fandom.

Like, I kinda knew the horse  guy was a sort of reference to Jackbox, but I didn’t know it was that extensive of a rip off  down to the controllers and idea of having hundreds of people play.

You can tell how little anyone at Nintendo cares about this game by how they announced it in the most uncharacteristically dry way possible. Not a single exclamation point used in the body of the tweet. No joke about how "It's time for some horsing around!" or something similar. Not even a fucking trailer or a single screenshot from the game. Just, "This game is releasing on this date. Here is the preorder link."

Review: Everybody 1-2-Switch!

Everybody 1-2-Switch! is a game with no real reason to exist, and its lineup of mostly boring, overly simple, poorly-presented games fails to justify its existence. Moreso than its predecessor, you can easily skip this game, and your parties will be the better for it.

hey guys remember (or did you know about) the everybody 1-2-switch game? the 1-2-switch sequel game that was reported to be testing so poorly internally that nintendo thought about cancelling it? but then changed their minds and finally announced it was real and coming out just at the beginning of june with no fanfare at all?

well guess what! it's out today! but don't look up reviews though to see how mid or how atrocious it is, because the plain truth is...there aren't any. there are literally no reviews for it available right now.

Let's be real, Nintendo payed all these people to participate in this and pretend to enjoy it. Where Nintendo's heads went when they conceived this, no one can say. But we're all thinking the same thing I bet. Nobody wanted this to exist, 1 2 Switch failed at being an actual game and the only reason anyone bought it at launch was because it was one of the few other things that came out for the system the same day as Breath of the Wild, I don't see how Nintendo thinks a sequel to a failure is going to hit. Everybody 1 2 Switch only serves to remind us why we forgot about the original game in the first place.

So Nintendo just revealed Everybody 1-2 Switch.

Find it a bit odd they didn't show any screenshots or share any trailers and just dropped it in a random tweet?

Well... the thing is... game's been rumored about for a while now.

And supposedly it was awful. Like, really awful.

I have a funny feeling they're dropping it now because Tears of the Kingdom just released and they're hoping it'll keep people from seeing their software quality as lesser just because this exists.

Let's not let that happen. If the game releases and is bad, I want to see memes. I want to see ridicule. I want to see this game dragged into the ground so hard that Nintendo rethinks everything and maybe, just maybe, finally reflects and realizes their hubris is catching up to them, that they are not too big to fail.
