To say she expects Alistair is a lie. She's not even sure Alice expected him, so meeting at the front of their house comes as quite the surprise— if not a pleasant one.

She greets the nomad with a beaming smile, hands ready to take whatever she can from him. She's already thinking about spare rooms, but deep down she knows the attic will become his choice of residence for the duration he's here.

EXPERIENCE/HOW MANY YEARS?: I started larping back in 2002 with my friends at recess pretending to be characters from our favourite media. Writing wise, I started writing with friends at school in a book/papers back and forth in 2007, moved to online in 2008? So, online wise, 16 YEARS.

FLUFF, ANGST, SMUT?: Fluff and angst! I'll only write smut to a certain point. xD

PLOTS OR MEMES?: Sometimes its easier with memes, but I don't mind plots.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES?: Medium? I struggle with replies that are longer than 3 paragraphs. I usually stick with 2 paras or less. That's my comfort level.

TIME TO WRITE?: All day every day. I'm unemployed, sadly. So I can write whenever, really. If the muse is right.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: Yes. Each muse has a little bit of kippy in them. Opal for example, we look alike- other than me being pasty white and her being tan- and her being skinny and I'm a little plus size. But we're pretty alike in personality too!

It was bold of her to join him while he was showering, but Esme needed to shower too. It's not like he was hunting alone, after all. And since they had considerably downsized, it was the logical conclusion (that, or waiting until he'd finished… and where was the fun in that?)

So she slipped in, albeit with a smirk playing across her lips. They had been intimately involved for years now; they just had yet to share a shower together. It was something she enjoyed partaking in with Carlisle. Part of her couldn't bring herself to admit such to Alistair, both with the ache of losing Carlisle still present in her chest and the worry he would think her weird for such habits.

Still, her worries slipped away as easily as Alistair's arm did past her, even more so when he pulled her close. Her lingering smirk widened, sighing into his touch and loosely circling her arms over his shoulder so hands could clasp together behind his head.

His kiss enticed a contented sigh, his comments drawing a laugh from her as he pulled away. "Mm, but I have to entertain myself with eternity somehow," she countered, grabbing the soap and allowing it to lather against her skin. As dirty as she was, there was something familiar to mud-caked skin; it called back to her childhood on the farm. "Besides," she continued, offering him a playful glance, "what bad habits were you exactly thinking about?"

   𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎  hesitate, dainty hand hovering over the doorknob, unsure if she should be reaching out to him. In truth Esme was still not completely sure why she was the one appointed to help Alistair ━ Carlisle soft croons still echoed in her mind "What he needs now is patience, my love. And that is your gift, not mine."  She understood that, after all, centuries of drinking human blood could hardly be undone in a few years. But when she pointed out to her husband that Alistair really didn't seem to like her, the blond man simply chuckled; "Alistair doesn't seem to like anyone, Esme. I'm not sure he likes me, and he calls me his friend."

   And how could she argue with that? It wasn't that she disliked the older vampire, quite the contrary, really. But Alistair made her feel...small. Not in the literal sense, but he made her feel as if she was an inconvenience and that usually lead her down a path of memories she would rather not relive. Logically she knew it was only hard to make conversation with him because she did not know him well, but that didn't make her any less anxious.

   Softly she knocked, knowing it to be useless and done only for the sake of keeping appearances. They were vampires, he probably heard her coming up the stairs. ❛ Alistair? ❜ she called out, honey-like voice slightly trembling, and she cursed her nerves. Her shyness usually came out when she had to approach people she thought did not like her.
