Félix: kidnapping is a love language Kagami: you have no social skills, idiot
*two weeks later*
Félix: okay, so when Marinette's at her most vulnerable, I'll gaslight her into thinking I'm her boyfriend, so she'll follow me into an abandoned building where we can put her in an altered mental state and present to her my family's life story in the imaginable most cryptic play of theater she has ever seen, which will reveal to her our horrible secret and the fact that her abusive father-in-law is also her arch-nemesis Kagami: you're so big brained, bae 🥰

Sabrina: You gotta admit. A wolf stopping kids in the middle of the woods? That's pretty creepy.
Relda: True. But we don't arrest people for being creepy.
Hamstead: [into walkie talkie] Hey Boarman, you know the guy we got down at the station?
Boarman: Uh, the creepy one?
Hamstead: Yeah, better let him go.

crazy how he just ignores everyone else and speaks directly to wyll. it's like wyll is like one of the most important characters in this game, or something.
#bg3#thoughts about media#I'm sure if karlach is there- gort might address her first instead?#I looked at the screenshots from my other playthroughs to see if I had this scene archived.#of course I literally have everything BUT this part.#I mean it makes a ton of sense why gort addresses wyll.#beyond the fact that wyll's father is there- baldur's gate KNOWS who wyll is. the patriars know who wyll is. they know he was exiled.#gort's trying to make wyll feel small and out of place. referring to him as the blade but undermining his heroic image by mentioning-#-his newly acquired fiendish features. also a bit of a brag I think. since gort himself escaped the hells & a devil physically unchanged.#that and I think gortash is like...a perfect mirror opposite to wyll. so to have them at odds over the fate of baldur's gate makes sense.#fits the whole fairy tale theme of wyll's story too. I mean how many stories are there of cheats like gortash being ousted from their-#-unrightful place on the throne by the true heir? the valiant and just prince come to save his people from the cruel lying tyrant?#*sigh* yet another thing that I wish they developed more in wyll's quest.#because this would all feel like a rather complex and complete story if wyll himself is your avatar.#but when he is a companion- I just don't think the quest features enough to make up for him not being the avatar.#I wish there was more of this- more wyll being the focus- more baldurians recognising who he is! it's HIS city after all!#I AM going to enjoy beating the shit out of gortash again though.#he and mizora are on my “top ten video game characters of all time I'd like to see SKINNED ALIVE” list.

thinking about the fairy tale trope of a kiss from your true love having magical properties and how often these kisses are used to wake up characters who are asleep or in some state of suspended animation or give them back something they lost. thinking about fitz walking around half-forged and detached from his own emotions until the fool kisses him and gives him back all of those memories and emotions effectively “waking him up” again and giving him back something he'd lost. and by thinking i of course mean i am screaming incoherently.

After several polls of coming in second or third or fourth or whateverth place, Bo-Katan's Obitine Flashbacks finally won!
Bo-Katan doesn’t know specifics, but she does know it hasn’t been more than a month.
She lowers her voice. “I’m sorry for your loss, Wren. I know you and the Jedi were… close…”
And Sabine Wren drops her face into her arms, bursting into tears and then apologizing through her hysterical sobs, which tells Bo-Katan exactly how close they were.
Bo-Katan is hit with a feeling of deja vu, like she’s done this before.
Wait.
No.
She has.
Ha ha. Fun.
This is just exactly what she needed right now, another woman brokenhearted over a Jedi.
And she thought the time with her sister had been awkward.
Wren is still rambling, half-incoherently as she rubs her eyes and tries to pull herself together, a mix of excuses and explanations and aching, soul-deep pain.
She says enough to give Bo-Katan another realization.
Unless Bo has entirely misheard—not only did Wren have feelings for the Jedi boy—not only did the Jedi boy have feelings for Wren in return—not only did they confess to each other—they also said the vows, which is, Bo is pretty sure, farther than Satine ever got with her Jedi, and then the thought of Satine and Kenobi gives Bo-Katan the most horrifying notion yet.
“Oh, my gods, are you pregnant?”
Sabine sits up, eyes huge, mouth hanging open in speechless bewilderment.
“Am I… no!”
Her answer is entirely sincere, and Bo-Katan slumps in relief.
Manda be praised. We don’t need more Korkies.

Ep 5!!!
#Episodes that make me go “The author has never talked with a woman ever” 😓😓😓#I don't like how Lucy's character is handled at all. And I feel like I can't talk about it because I'm just going to sound like a bitter–#ss/kk shipper... But I really don't like it. And if it can help my case I'm a multishipper so I really don't take any–#issues with atsu/lucy I like the ship quite a lot actually.#So you're telling me there's this girl... Who meets this boy who pretty much ruined her life by directly causing her to lose her job...#And the next time she sees him she's going to sacrifice her own freedom for him as well as tell him “when you're done doing your things–#come and save me” (longest ewwww ever)... And when she regains freedom (author didn't bother to explain how because they don't care)–#she goes to work... As a waitress at the café beneath his workplace. So he can keep doing his Cool Superpowers Job while she literally–#must serve him every time he visits the place. It's just ?????????????????????????????????#Look‚ I don't dislike Lucy and I feel general affection towards her. It's just that they make her act like no one ever would#Just for the sake of the plot I guess#And like I knoww it's (probably just a little) more nuanced than that. I know Lucy is living her own fairy tale fantasy.#It's just that what I've said about her story is still true‚ you know?#I'm sorry but as sweet as atsu/lucy can be. I really hate the author for making Lucy a waitress. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.#It's so weird. This anime has women writing standards that feel like dating back to the 20s#Same with Katai and the ideal woman tbh. Like why are women to be seen as this abstract impersonal entities? Why can't they just be people?#Ideal for WHO. It's like super screwed up of a concept. What even is an ideal woman? What does it mean to be a woman anyways?#They just want to say “ideal wife”. But women aren't made to be wives their existence isn't functional to another person.#Sorry. I derail. Next episode is going to be even worse on this front ughhhh#Back to the episode: once again it really shows they were running out of budget with this season‚‚‚ the animation looks very suffered#Too many flashback also... I feel bad for the animators tbh#I don't really like the shift in art style :( Not even Atsushi I found particularly pretty this episode my heart cries#The nail pulling thing made me feel like throwing up afhsjyabfsbfwasfvb I feel like I can bear worse gore but there's a couple of little–#specific things I can't stand and this seems to be one of them pffftttt#I like Higuchi I think she's both very funny and cool. I really wish she was explored more (but then again looking at Teruko... )#The relationship between Kunikida and Katai looks so interesting even though we only get glimpses of it. Kunikida regrets Katai leaving–#the ada but is also happy for him but also worries for him. He comes to his house seemingly to check on him and starts cleaning around.#The way he loves him and cherishes their friendship and shared history is really evident and it makes for a compelling dynamic.#Perhaps I should read their short story... In any case. Going to someone's house and compulsively start doing the dishes half out of will–#to help out half because he can't bear the mess sounds a lot like something I'd do lol

every day i think about the ansur plot in act 3 could've actually had emotional weight if larian studios gave a shit about wyll. damn.
#like the whole gauntlet is about expressing the type of heroism that wyll has striven for his entire life.#the way the quest is so prototypical in it's fairy tale sensibility of the honest and true hero awaking a dragon under the city and -#saving the day and he goes through this whole gauntlet that's a test of how well he ascribes to the ideals of balduran and his father -#and everything he ever clung to to validate himself to himself after being coerced into mizora's deal as a 17 year old kid and then -#he succeeds! he passes the tests! only to find that ansur (literally named answer) is an undead abomination you have to put down#like it's SO SAD. and to me a big part of his story is accepting who HE is. seeing himself outside of his deal w mizora or what his father#wanted him to be and the fact that wyll isn't allowed to have a big emotional reaction to the ansur situation is so annoying#in fact wyll doesn't EVER get to have an emotional reaction to anything bc larian studios doesn't care enough to flesh his story out -#despite giving him one of the most interesting ideas for a character in the game! like act 3 should be WYLL'S act! he's so tied into -#everyone important in that act that it's actually a crime that he's sidelined the most there and he doesn't have enough vocal fans -#that larian studios will ever care enough to patch his story or add anything like they did for karlach or astarion. it's so dumb.#and it sucks that the writers don't recognize wyll's abuse bc his abuser is a hot devil lady. what she does to him is sick. god.#anyway. whatever.#baldur's gate 3#my posts#.txt

Peter in his high school year book, 1959. Photos from an old auction listing.
“All of my early life was spent feeling out of whack. Physically I matured late and never was very athletic and always found myself on the short end of the stick. I was raised in a liberal family in the middle of the McCarthy era.” - Peter Tork, The Daily Oklahoman, November 7, 1983 (x)
“Peter started school in Germany before he’d turned five and when the family returned to the United States his father refused to allow him to repeat first grade. ‘From that time on, until I got to college, I was always about a year younger than the other kids. A year makes a hell of a difference in school. Kids don’t like getting involved with someone they consider to be their junior. It didn’t make things too easy.’ [...] ‘My life between then [moving to Connecticut] and my senior year of high school was a total disaster. In fifth grade I started going downhill because I was unhappy. I was constantly trying to make friends and trying to be funny but never succeeding because I was so much younger. I did have a small circle of friends but that was at home, it didn’t have much to do with school.’ […] Peter’s adolescence took a turn for the better around the time of his high school senior year, when he was moved to the newly-opened University of Connecticut High School. ‘It was much more comfortable. The age difference ceased to matter and I finally got a chance to make some real friends. This is when I guess you could said I blossomed out. There were all kinds of amateur societies I could join, like drama and rifle shooting. I even started going to football and baseball games. My father and I did a lot of target shooting together. I was very interested in drama but I was a late grower and because I was so short I never got any big romantic leads. My acting debut, at age sixteen and a half, was as a thirteen-year-old paper boy in Our Town. This was a bit degrading; it reminded me of the age problem that had dogged me all through school.’” - Monkeemania (1986)
In connection with high school: from an older post, Peter's advice to a fan, such as: "Think about what I’ve told you and try your very best to be open, cheerful and friendly with everyone. That includes people who have or will try to point you in one way or another. If someone puts you down, letting it roll off your back is not accepting it so much as recognizing the fact that it’s their hangup, not yours! There are going to be people who will become your friends. Some of them you’ll get to know, and others will find you. Your social life will pick up again, but this time you’ll be doing it on your own terms! This much I know is true, because it happened to me! The transition from being one of the crowd to being your own individual self is painful, but the way you feel about yourself is the most important thing that will ever happen to you! Peace and Love, Peter Tork” (read more)
