To begin, to make this easy let us establish this Dragon Slayer is an alpha. If you did not know you might suspect he was a beta with how he is so careless and goofy. Not your stereotypical stern tough guy alpha.

Natsu doesn’t care if you see him as an alpha or not, and he doesn’t care if someone doesn’t believe he’s an alpha. His status as a dragon slayer and member of Fairy Tail is his pride not something decided by birth or gender. Gender, who cares about that, are you strong or funny or nice? Thus goes his priorities.

So needless to say he’s not really into the whole, he has to court you by rules xyz due to his secondary gender. He’s going to court you how he believes a dragon slayer and guild member (because you will be adopted into Fairy Tale if you're not in it already) should be treated.

It might have taken him a long while to realize he wants to court you though. At first he just knew he liked being around you, and isn’t that enough? Spending life going on adventures and laughing together are most important to him. 

Once or twice he feels like frowning or growling when he sees someone get really close to you. Not just proximity wise because he too is a skinship with all the friends kind of person. But seeing someone attempt to get close to you romantically or emotionally and nudge him aside and out of frame? He doesn’t understand why but it burns him up inside.

I hate to say it but he tries to train it off, or just cling onto you and insist on starting a job right now. No he hasn’t picked one and yes it might be midnight but it's the perfect time to start a quest! No really-

He may go and confide in Master or Mira Jane. He knows he may get teased for it but he can’t figure these emotions out, and it's imperative to him to know because it's becoming stronger. His anger (its jealousy), his thoughts about you, why your scent is smelling sweeter and sweeter to him, all of it.

Bless this poor boy's soul because he really couldn’t figure out why he was “hungry” when he smelled your scent. He thought he needed to eat more food or fire because we don't eat friends. Thankfully they explained it's a physical and emotional longing to be closer with you.

Natsu was never going anywhere without his scarf. Not only because of how important it was sentimentally for him, but also but it was more than useful for him. His scarf was probably one of the only things he cared about this much. It was like a part of himself. You were sure that you never saw him without it or giving it to anyone.  You just got back from a quest with Natsu and the rest of the team. It was a simple quest, and you were clearly too many for such an easy work. Everything was fine until you all came back. It only took a few days before you felt awfully sick. You swore that you never felt this bad in your entire life. You were at your lowest. 

You were sitting at the counter of the guild, talking with Mirajane. Or mostly she was trying to cheer you up, giving you some hot chocolate to make you feel better. You had your hands around your cup, eyes half closed because of how tired you felt. A long sigh left your lips, when you felt something wrapping around you. 

You suddenly felt so much warmer, and you turned around to look at what was happening. Natsu was there, right behind you, and something felt off about him. He had a huge smile over his lips, arms crossed. “You’re going to feel better like this!” 

You quickly realized that what was around you was, in fact, Natsu’s scarf. It caught you off guard and you looked back at him. You were about to say something but he simply left, laughing like it was nothing. 

You slowly hid your face in the scarf, burying your nose in it. It felt so warm, like there was a whole fire around you right now. But the thing that made you feel the best was Natsu’s scent which was all over your nose. It felt so comforting, and it was like your whole body was relaxing.  

You didn’t expect a simple scarf to be able to make you feel better, but there you were. You were quite sure that nothing could help you more right now. Everything was already better now, thanks to Natsu.

I just gotta say I completely agree that they should have talked about the gap more, like a lot can happen in seven years, and they're just like 'wow seven years past, here's the like three major things that happened while we thought y'all were dead, now get back to work'. General Background:

Hearing that the entirety of Tenrou Island had disappeared during the S-class trails broke your heart

And as much as it pains you to admit it, you were probably the first member of Fairy Tail to accept that the wizards on Tenrou had died

So when Blue Pegasus showed up saying that there was evidence to suggest that Tenrou Island was still out there, you refused to believe them

You tried to reason that is had been seven years, if the Tenrou team had survived they would have made it back by now, not to mention every trip out to look for them there was no sign of the island at all

Of course the Remaining members of Fairy Tail still held on to hope that their friends where out there somewhere, so a small group left to try and find them once again

Still not wanting to get your hopes up, you decided it was best to stay at the guild and wait for their return so you can comfort them when they show up empty handed

You had been focused on protecting Romeo from Twilight Ogre, and failed to notice the mass of Magic energy that approached the guild Hall.

So when the man holding the hammer was sent flying across the room, you were just as much shock as the rest of the guild

After the new presence beat the crap out of the rival guild members and the dust settled, you couldn't believe your eyes

Standing in the door to the Fairy Tail Guild hall was none other than the group that had disappeared seven years ago

Natsu:

Seeing the pink haired mage you had spent the last seven years mourning, standing right in front of you stole your breath away

He looked exactly the same as he did when he left for the trials, how could that be possible

After they explained what happened and everyone began talking about some of the major changes that had happened while they were gone, Natsu came over to talk to you

He thought he would be greeted by a hug and some words of how much you missed him, maybe even some happy tears, but as soon as he made eye contact you broke down into full on sobs

He immediately wrapped you in hug pulling you close and rubbing your back, whispering gentle words about how he's there for you

Being back in his arms and taking in his scent just caused the tears to fall harder, but after a few moments you finally calmed down pulling back looking him in the eyes again

He waited for you to make the next move, and when you started talking about you were sorry for not believing in him and how you should have been there when they found him, he was stunned

Being completely taken aback by that response he pulls you close again, assuring you that he's not mad about you not being there and how he can't blame you for thinking he died after all it had been seven years

Once he had gotten you to calm down again he asks if you want to go for a walk and tell him about what has changed for you while he was gone

He'd listen to every detail, how you help search endlessly for them but after a while you gave up hope, how you still lived in the shack that you shared with him and Happy because you couldn't bring yourself to part from it

He listened to how you tried once or twice to go out with someone new but every time it fell through because no matter how many times you told yourself he was gone you couldn't get over him

Natsu just listened, he knew what it was like to have someone you love suddenly disappear so he didn't blame you for any of it

He just wanted too be there for you as handled this new wave of emotions and he wanted to assure you that he would be there not matter what

Gray:

Seeing Gray standing in the guild hall once again brought tears to your eyes

Ignoring as everyone explained what had happened, you were brought back to every night you spent crying yourself to sleep after you accepted that he was dead

You stood there tears streaming down your face as you relived every memory you had with the Ice Make wizard

Once he noticed you standing off to the side with tears falling, he rushed to your side

Hearing Gray ask if you were ok snapped you out of your thoughts, reaching out placing a hand on his face you couldn't stop your self from asking if he was really there

He would just chuckle softly and assure you that he was in fact really there

Deciding that you weren't dreaming or hallucinating, you pulled him in to a tight hug, soaking his shirt in fresh wave of tears as you berried your face in his shoulder

He just let you cry as he held you close knowing that it was shock to have someone that was supposed to be dead show up again

Once you stop crying Gray would suggest the two of you go somewhere to talk

He'd listen as you told him about the past seven years, squeezing your hand any time you looked like you were about to break down again reassuring you that he was there for you know

If you even tried to blame yourself for believing he was dead or not going when the rest went to see if they were really out there, he would make you look him in the eyes as he told you that it was in no way your fault

He would make sure that you knew he would never blame you for thinking he had died, and that he would spend everyday of his life making up for the seven years of hell he put you through, if you would let him of course

Laxus:

He wouldn't wait a second after making his appearance in guild hall to find you

After all his only other friends had all been on Tenrou so there was only one person he need to catch up with

Seeing his giant frame make it's way towards you left you speechless, after all this time he was finally back and he looked the same as when he left

Not giving him a chance to speak, you wrapped him in hug expressing how much you missed him

He wasn't surprised when a damp patch started to form on his chest where your head rested

He let you cry it out, rubbing your back so you knew he was really there

Laxus wouldn't even care about the strange looks the rest of the guild was giving him, all he cared about was making sure you were okay

After you calmed down and spent a small amount of time welcoming the rest of the Tenrou Team back you found yourself going for walk with Laxus

You apologized for not being there when the rest found them, after all you didn't know he had gone out to Tenrou and thought he just stopped visiting you

He assured you that you didn't need to apologize for anything, he then apologized for not telling you he was going to Tenrou and for making you think he just abandoned you

He also promised to do whatever it took to make up for everything

Gajeel:

It took Panther Lily pushing him in your direction for Gajeel to notice you had been staring at him since the moment they walked back into the guild

Realizing you hadn't taken your eyes of him, he timidly approached and apologized for leaving you for seven years

He's not the best with words or emotions so he is startled when you pull him into a bone crushing hug followed by tears soaking his shoulder

He'd pat your back trying to get you to calm down, saying that you're going to ruin his bandages, secretly he's just happy you were there

After you calm down he lets you vent about how much you missed and how sorry you were for losing hope

Again not the best with words so he'd probably mumble about it not being your fault

Seeing that the reunion wasn't going super smoothly, Panther Lily would probably show up and assure you that while Gajeel is shit with words, he really is happy to see you

how good I think fairy tail characters are at traveling pt. 1

♡ lucy heartfilia -> this poor girl isn't directionally challenged but she is financially challenged. will accidentally spend your train money on a cute necklace in whatever town you're stopping in. she's a good travel companion, willing to socialize with the locals and find out the best sight-seeing and restaurant spots. allocates a bit too much time for Trinkets. you'll probably arrive at your destination with empty pockets but full hearts (and shopping bags.) a 7.5/10, could be higher or lower depending on how much you value your wallet.

♡ natsu dragneel -> just give up. if he doesn't scoop you up in his arms as happy flies the two of you in the completely wrong direction, natsu's probably wandering off without you. gets distracted by everything: food, shiny objects, bickering people. you're working double time to get to your destination in one piece AND not lose natsu in the process. a 4/10 that can be upgraded to a 6 or 7 if you buy him a fire-resistant leash backpack.

♡ sting eucliffe -> surprisingly, he's the one coordinating your trip. all cheery smiles and lighthearted jokes, he makes it look easy. you don't even know what train you're getting on or how long the ride is, you just trust sting. he's charming everyone: the train conductor, the old ladies at the market stalls, the young ticket seller at the station. all of that completely disappears once you get on the train and sting is reduced to a nauseous puddle of dragon slayer. 10/10 experience as long as he doesn't throw up on you <2

♡ gajeel levy and pantherlily -> where's gajeel? you don't know. he was supposed to be at the station half an hour ago, he won't answer his lacrima, he's gone off the map. don't worry, though, levy and pantherlily will keep you company. 2/10 for gajeel. the worst part is, he shows up at your destination before you! he didn't even take the train or fly with lily! he's just... there somehow.

We are going to do Laxus post his first fight for this one~ Because we love character growth in this universe~

Laxus is an alpha, a seemingly calm alpha with a selective and secretive short fuse. 

He has no time anymore for meaningless violence. Laxus is too busy looking towards the future and doing whatever is within his power from behind the scenes to make the lives of his guildmates better

However if you purposely put yourself in his way, by threatening his assumed fairy tail this man will assert himself as the alpha and without letting that sink in he will strike

One blast of lightning is all it takes to fry most, and just to be a disrespectful shit, he will let his scent out so they are stuck smelling like the alpha who kicked their ass so easily and warning any of their buddies there is a Fairy Guardian ready to kick ass if they try to lay a hand on them

Unlike Natsu or Rogue he is not hiding or ignoring his alpha status, he doesn’t necessarily think it makes him better than anyone anymore. However He knows that secondary gender often leads people to be naturally stronger in terms of strength and scent

He is very mindful of how much force he puts into everything, from opening doors to helping someone up who fell. It would bother and upset him if he accidentally caused injury to someone who did not deserve it

Unlike how Natsu just has a generally lower scent unless he’s angry, Laxus’s scent is strong and he has gone through time to learn how to keep it calmer and not overpowering for those around him. In fact it is a rather grounding and calming scent that makes you feel you can rely on this man

He takes pride in his scent but understands not everyone wants to smell him 24/7 so he hardly ever pushes his scent out(except as a power move on assholes), and never scent marks not even the Thunder legion 

Although awkward when it comes to expressing affection, Laxus is a very passionate alpha it comes across in the tiny turns of his lips, the stance he takes to protect others, and the crackling of his lightning (it differs in fights against guildmates vs enemies you can feel his ferocity)

This goes for shows of affection to his guild mates too, he plays with them like a jock big brother would the youngest sibling. He treasures them but also this usually comes through him unintentionally teasing them or pissing them off by how he interacts with them

Alpha Laxus is not looking for power, he is looking for a family. A place to rest and a place he can protect with everything inside him

If he is needed to lead then he will but it will not be from the thought of I am alpha so you will listen, but because he wishes to protect and he will serve the role of protector (not alpha) but protector for those who he has come to accept as family regardless of their secondary genders, primary genders, sexuality, or magical ability

He has learned to protect the strong as well as the weak and he cherishes each one even if he does not know them personally all that well, when family views them as his family thus he will protect them

As for Laxus as an alpha to be with you, well you must be a member of Fairy Tail plain and simple, or someone Fairy Tail sees as family

If you are seen as family but a part of another guild it won’t work for him. He has to be able to protect you and while he does see other guilds as friends he can’t trust them with your safety

Civilian? Oh guess who just got the best gig ever? Working at Fairy Tail! Congratulations~

He is a quiet partner at first, he speaks with his body and actions. You’ll need to learn to notice his glances because they speak volumes about whether he is watching you lovingly, worried for you, or just perplexed by your behavior.

Same for his body positioning, he tends to linger closer to you not like hovering beside you, but same side of the room as you. Sitting just a seat or two away, or positioned so he can be beside you in an instant if anything happened

Laxus is not huge on PDA, he just is a bit awkward because he doesn’t really crave skinship in the way many do

He prefers to gently fix your hair as a way of giving you affection before moving on to the next objective. Or cup your cheek and smile for a moment before he walks away to go get you food or one of his jackets 

He will on occasion stand just a half step behind and to the side so he can rest one of his gargantuan hands on your hip and bask in your presence

Laxus will actually commit murder if he sees you crying. The snarls and way he snaps you up into his arms is terrifying enough to his guild members let alone the stranger who had hurt your soul thusly

He feels helpless but will be there to hold you and offer soft words of encouragement and protection. This is one of the times you would hear him give you verbal affirmations without having to ask for them. He will get revenge for you unless you stop him

If its because of unfortunate events, nature is nature after all Laxus will steal you away to somewhere safe preferably your nest so he can just be a strong shoulder to cry on, and later cook for you. Expect the best cuddles, kisses, and home-cooked food, unintentionally becoming more like husband material by the day

It's much later on in your relationship when he starts to act on certain alpha impulses

One of those is kissing you, he found you too cute before and he was in no rush to claim you. If you wanted him like he did you it would happen in time

When he finally acts on it, it is probably after a heated battle or moment where he feels he had nearly failed to be the man (not alpha) he wanted to be for you and is so desperate and filled with all the love he has been storing up inside for you

It’s a claiming and dominant kiss and later he will apologize if that wasn’t the sort of kiss you wanted your first kiss with him to be

Now he seeks you out sometimes tugging you in gently by your hips or cupping the back of your head while he presses slow claiming steamy kisses to your lips (or if he is feeling needy or worried about you to your throat by your scent glands)

If someone in the guild is getting too close or handsy expect his jealousy to leak out slightly in a small scent flare and him coming over to kiss your forehead and cheek and suggest you both go “-get a drink” “show him that thing you were talking about” or if they really pushed it “to our Home”

Another impulse he is acting on? Scenting for the first time in years! He wants to leave his scent lingering on you so that you know he is never too far away

It does ward off others as well, being an alpha but it was more because it's his way of claiming his mate as a man who is terrified to lose you and his family again

The times it is as an alpha is if you have to go into battle and either of you are worried about the other's safety. He hopes his alpha scent could deter any harm that might come to you, he knows it can't always but even if it helps a little it's worth using his secondary gender then. Please scent him back, it helps calm his mind that you will be okay while he has to fight. He also fights six times harder with your scent on him subconsciously fighting to defend his mate with all the deadly precision he has learned over the years as an s class wizard

If he knows you are okay with it he will often wrap you up in some of his clothes

It tickles his heart seeing you drowning in his huge things

He’s unaware of it but the others see that alpha light in his eyes when you wear something of his. All the pride and love of an alpha watching their mate but they really want to tease him for this behavior he's unaware of

Alpha status can sometimes be used by him without thinking if it can make your or the guilds lives easier or safer. It is less OOO I’m a big scary alpha and “Oh? Scared of alpha’s huh? Then get the fuck out of here before I show you what an alpha really is, scum.” 

Would not appreciate being referred to by his secondary gender, it brings up bad memories and discredits his actual prowess and growth. Use his name, or his position as a s class Fairy Tail wizard not “Alpha”.

Is re-assured if you like his secondary gender but it's something he wouldn’t realize he finds relieving until it happens and you tell him as such. Although he would still prefer if it was not one of your favorite things about him

Not the greatest at understanding what the other positions need, but he is trying to learn every single day. Has gone to the library to try and find books that aren't archaic so he can be sure to provide the family or you with whatever you require at any time. He still gets surprised by things, like why your little clicks and prrts can grab his attention from across a battlefield. Doesn’t realize that is his mate's way of calling to him and him alone and he is responding to it the right way, he may ask you to be more careful about when you make those noises after he accidentally gets distracted by it while you were cheering him on and Natsu socked him in the jaw

I’ll do a more courting one but I think this is more than I had meant to do for just him as an alpha lol XD Heres a few little more but I’d be willing to do a courting headcanon, or nsfw mate headcanon if people are curious

All you wanted this Christmas was to spend time with Sting, but being Guild Master kept him busier than ever. Wandering through the festive markets alone, you couldn’t help but miss him—until he showed up, slightly out of breath, snowflakes in his hair, and a secret hidden behind his mischievous grin.

A quiet walk, a warm cup of cocoa, and a snow-covered lake later… it turns out he had something special planned all along. ❄️

The streets of Fiore’s capital glowed under the soft twinkle of festive lights, a golden hue cast over cobblestone pathways as the city’s Christmas markets bustled with life. Stalls brimmed with handcrafted ornaments, warm pastries, and steaming cups of mulled cider, their sweet, spiced aroma curling through the chilly evening air.

And yet, despite the picturesque scene, you felt a little hollow inside.

Pulling your coat tighter around yourself, you sighed as you idly brushed your fingers over a delicate glass snowflake ornament, watching the way it caught the lights. This was supposed to be a season of togetherness, warmth, love—but your heart ached with longing.

Sting had been busier than ever lately. You understood, of course. Being Guild Master of Sabertooth wasn’t an easy job, and the responsibility weighed on him more than he ever admitted out loud. But that understanding didn’t make the distance between you feel any smaller. It had been days since you’d last seen him properly—brief moments stolen in passing, an absentminded kiss pressed to your forehead before he was off again, buried in meetings and paperwork.

You tried to shake it off, offering a small, polite smile to the vendor before moving on. The night air nipped at your cheeks, but it wasn’t just the cold making you shiver. You wanted to be happy. You wanted to enjoy the warmth of the season, the joyful laughter of children as they ran past with sticky candy canes, the sight of couples huddled close to each other under shared scarves.

But all you could think about was Sting.

And how much you missed him.

“Oi, you shouldn’t be walking around looking that sad during the holidays.”

The familiar voice made you freeze mid-step, heart leaping to your throat. You turned, eyes wide, only to find yourself staring into a pair of dark blue ones, glinting mischievously under the glow of the lanterns.

Sting stood before you, arms crossed, a smirk tugging at his lips—but there was a softness there, too, something tender in the way he looked at you. He was slightly out of breath, as if he’d rushed to get here, snowflakes dusting his blond hair like tiny stars.

“Sting…” Your voice was barely above a whisper, shock and relief tangling together in your chest. “What are you doing here?”

He huffed, rubbing the back of his neck, almost sheepish. “I might’ve ditched some paperwork,” he admitted. “Figured my girl needed me more.”

And just like that, the ache in your chest melted away, replaced by the warmth of his presence, the way he was already pulling you close, tucking you into his embrace as if he never wanted to let go.

Sting kept you wrapped in his warmth for a moment longer before finally pulling back, his hands lingering at your waist as if reluctant to let go completely. His gaze softened as he took you in—rosy cheeks from the cold, eyes still holding traces of sadness, lips parted in surprise.

“C’mon,” he said, voice gentle yet firm. “Let’s walk.”

You barely had time to nod before his fingers found yours, lacing them together as he led you down the bustling market street. The air smelled of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts, and the soft hum of holiday carols played somewhere in the distance.

As you walked, Sting squeezed your hand, his thumb brushing absentminded circles over your skin. “I know I’ve been a crappy boyfriend lately,” he admitted, exhaling a visible puff of air into the cold night. “And before you try to say it’s fine—I know it’s not.”

You glanced up at him, surprised by the raw honesty in his voice. “It’s not that I don’t understand,” you murmured. “I just... miss you.”

He stopped abruptly in front of a small wooden stall, turning to you fully. “I miss you too.” His voice was quieter now, almost hesitant, as if he wasn’t sure he was allowed to say it. “More than I realized.”

Before you could respond, he slipped his hand from yours and stepped up to the vendor. “Two hot cocoas,” he ordered, reaching into his coat for his wallet. “Extra marshmallows in hers.”

Your chest tightened at the small gesture. He still remembered.

When he handed you the warm cup, his fingers brushed yours, lingering just a moment too long. “I know I can’t make up for lost time,” he murmured, watching you carefully. “But I can start trying.”

You stared at him, at the way the golden light flickered against his features, highlighting the sincerity in his dark blue eyes. Slowly, warmth replaced the ache in your heart, melting through you like the cocoa in your hands.

“Yeah,” you said softly, giving his fingers a small squeeze. “That sounds like a good start.”

The two of you strolled through the market, hand in hand, the warmth of the cocoa seeping through your gloves as you sipped from your cup. The festive energy of the city wrapped around you—lively merchants calling out their wares, children darting through the crowd with sticky hands and wide grins, and couples huddled close, sharing quiet laughter beneath the glow of string lights.

Sting led you from stall to stall, his usual confidence softened by something more intimate tonight. He asked your opinions on little trinkets, held up scarves against you to see which color suited you best, even tugged you toward a booth selling candied nuts, insisting you share a bag despite your half-hearted protests.

But something felt… off.

It wasn’t anything obvious—if anything, Sting was being more attentive than usual, checking in on you with lingering touches, stealing glances when he thought you weren’t looking. And yet, there was an energy about him, something lingering beneath the easy grin and playful teasing.

You first noticed it when he stopped mid-sentence, gaze flicking toward a jewelry stall before quickly pulling you in the opposite direction. Then again, when he glanced at the clock tower in the distance, jaw tightening slightly before masking it with another comment about how cold your nose was.

He was nervous about something.

That much was clear.

And the longer you walked, the more you caught the little signs—the slight tension in his grip, the way his eyes scanned the crowd almost absently, as if looking for something… or waiting.

You were about to ask when he suddenly stopped in front of a flower stall, plucking a single winter rose from the display. The vendor chuckled knowingly as Sting pressed a few coins into his hand, then turned to you with a lopsided grin.

“For you,” he said simply, tucking the delicate bloom behind your ear. His fingers lingered at your cheek for just a second longer than necessary.

Your heart fluttered, but the feeling of something amiss still gnawed at the back of your mind.

Something was definitely up.

You narrowed your eyes at him, tilting your head slightly as you reached up to touch the winter rose still tucked behind your ear. “Alright, spill it.”

Sting blinked at you innocently. “Spill what?”

You crossed your arms, stopping in your tracks. “You’ve been acting weird all night. You keep checking the time, looking around like you’re expecting something, and I swear you just dragged me away from that jewelry stall on purpose.”

His lips parted slightly, caught off guard, before he suddenly grinned, rubbing the back of his neck. “What? Me? Acting weird? Never.”

“Sting.”

“Babe.”

You let out a dramatic sigh, shaking your head. “If you’re planning something, you might as well tell me now.”

But instead of answering, he took your hand again and tugged you forward, his grip firm but affectionate. “C’mon,” he said, voice laced with something unreadable. “Just a little further.”

Your suspicion only grew, but you followed anyway, letting him lead you past the market and down a quieter path, where the noise faded into a soft hum behind you. The world seemed to still as the two of you approached a secluded lake, its surface frozen over, reflecting the twinkle of lights from the trees surrounding it. Snow dusted the branches, making the entire scene look like something out of a dream.

You inhaled sharply, breath misting in the cold air. “It’s beautiful…”

Sting let go of your hand, stepping ahead of you before turning back, that usual playful spark in his eyes now replaced with something deeper—something that sent your heart into a frantic rhythm.

“Yeah,” he murmured, gaze locked onto you. “It really is.”

And then, to your absolute shock, he dropped down onto one knee.

Your hands flew to your mouth. “Sting—”

“Okay, don’t freak out.” He let out a breathless laugh, rubbing his palms together as if to steady himself. “I had this whole thing planned out—wanted to wait until Christmas Day, but, dammit, I couldn’t. Not when I’ve been missing you like crazy. Not when I know, without a doubt, that I don’t wanna go another second without making this official.”

Your chest ached with overwhelming emotion as he pulled a small velvet box from his coat pocket, flipping it open to reveal a simple yet breathtaking ring—a delicate band with a single gem that caught the light like freshly fallen snow.

“I love you,” he continued, voice rough around the edges, thick with unspoken feeling. “And I know I’ve been busy, and I know I haven’t always been great at showing it, but there’s not a damn thing in this world I want more than to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Snowflakes swirled around the two of you, the world shrinking to just this moment, just this man, kneeling in the frost with his heart laid bare.

“So,” he exhaled, looking up at you with that signature, lopsided grin—hopeful, nervous, completely smitten. “Will you marry me?”

Tears pricked at your eyes, your breath caught somewhere between a laugh and a sob. You didn’t even realize you were nodding until you were already dropping to your knees in front of him, throwing your arms around his neck.

“Yes,” you whispered, voice shaky with joy. “Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.”

A relieved laugh bubbled from his chest as he wrapped his arms around you, lifting you off the snowy ground and spinning you once before pulling back just enough to slide the ring onto your finger. It fit perfectly, like it had always belonged there.

Then, before you could say another word, he kissed you—soft and lingering, warm despite the cold, filled with every unspoken promise he’d ever made to you.

And just like that, the frost-covered night felt a whole lot warmer.

Sting kept your hand in his, fingers interlaced as the two of you made your way back through the snow-covered streets. The Christmas market had begun to wind down, the soft glow of lanterns flickering against the freshly fallen snow. Everything around you felt untouched, like the world itself had paused to let you bask in this moment—this overwhelming, heart-melting happiness.

You kept glancing down at your hand, watching the way the delicate ring caught the light, shimmering like the stars above. It felt surreal. You were engaged. To Sting. The love of your life.

He must have noticed, because he chuckled, squeezing your fingers. “Y’know, staring at it too long isn’t gonna make it disappear.”

“I just can’t believe it,” you admitted, still breathless from everything that had happened. “I mean, I can—I’ve always known I wanted to be with you—but it still feels like a dream.”

Sting grinned, tugging you closer so he could drape an arm over your shoulders, pressing a kiss to your temple. “Guess that just means I gotta spend the rest of our lives proving it’s real, huh?”

Your heart swelled at his words, and you leaned into his warmth, letting yourself sink into the comfort of knowing that this—him, the future ahead of you—was yours to hold forever.

As the two of you neared Sabertooth’s guild hall, you could already see the soft glow of lights spilling through the windows, hear the faint hum of laughter and music within. The guild—your family—was waiting just beyond those doors, completely unaware that everything had changed.

Excitement bubbled in your chest as you exchanged a glance with Sting, who was practically vibrating with anticipation. “They’re gonna lose it,” you giggled, already picturing Minerva’s knowing smirk, Rogue’s rare but genuine smile, Lector’s inevitable squeal of excitement.

“Oh, for sure,” Sting smirked, his grip tightening around you. “Bet you five thousand jewel that Lector cries first.”

You laughed, nudging him playfully. “That’s not even a bet—of course he will.”

He grinned, and for a moment, he just looked at you—like he was committing this moment to memory, like he still couldn’t believe you’d said yes. Then, without warning, he grabbed your hand and sprinted toward the guild doors, dragging you along with him.

“C’mon, future Mrs. Eucliffe,” he said through a laugh. “Let’s go tell the family.”

And with that, the two of you stepped through the doors of Sabertooth—together, ready for whatever the future had in store.

It wasn’t so rare for you to go on quests with Gray, as you two were a pretty good match with your magics. It worked pretty well, and even more as you had a pretty good relationship. At least, it was the case until your last quest. Gray had been kind of weird all the time and you couldn’t take it anymore when he almost snapped by yelling at you.  Since you came back, you were clearly avoiding him. Mirajane tried to talk to you about it but you were stuck on your positions and not ready to talk to him again. Everyone noticed it because you were spending a lot more time on your own than with Gray, Natsu and everyone else. It was difficult to make you this angry, so they all thought that Gray must have gone too far this time. 

You were currently looking for a quest on the board, alone. Until Gray approached you, clearing his throat and gathering all of his strength. He looked at you, and you didn’t even glance at him. A small sigh left his lips before he crossed his arms on his chest.  “You’re really going to leave for this quest alone?” He asked, and you simply turned your head to him. It almost broke his heart to see how cold your gaze was towards him. He was sure he never saw you look at anyone in the guild like this before. He looked away, still hoping to get an answer from you.  But all you did was to take the paper on the board. You showed it to Mira before turning away, ready to leave the guild. At least, you were about to when Gray grabbed your wrist to guide you out of here with him. He only stopped a few meters away, now facing you, your wrist in his hand. You looked at him with a frown, quickly taking back your hand from his grip.  “What’s your problem?” You almost yelled at him and he looked away, his jaw slightly clenching. He quickly looked back in your direction, obviously angry but mostly hurt. You could see it in his eyes.  “You plan on ignoring me for the rest of your life?” He finally asked, trying to sound as calm as possible. “I can’t do it anymore. I’m sorry, I told you that already. Please, stop it.”  You kept your gaze locked in his eyes, a little frown over your face. As you were going to forgive him this easily. He tried to grab your hand but you brushed him away quickly. His lips slightly parted before he looked away, another sigh escaping his mouth.  “I shouldn’t have acted this way with you, I really am sorry. It’s just… you.” Your eyes widened a little, realizing what he was trying to say. “Oh so it’s my fault now?” You slowly raised your eyebrows and he looked back at you in a second.  “What? No! It’s me, but it’s because of what you’re doing to me!” There was clearly a misunderstanding but you didn't seem to get what he was trying to tell you right now. In fact, it was only making you even angrier.  “Stop trying to put the blame on me, would you!” He couldn’t believe that things were really turning this way. He put his hands on his eyes, rubbing them for a moment, before meeting your gaze. “I love you! This is the problem!” He finally admitted, and it made you go silent almost immediately.  You were looking at him without saying anything, trying to process the words he had just said to you. You blinked a few times, before your voice left your mouth almost in a murmur. “You… what?” He sighed loudly, not able to assume your gaze anymore. “I said what I said.” A slight blush was running across his face, and it hit you hard.  “Gray, I…” He shook his head, not letting you finish your sentence. “It’s okay, you don’t need to take pity on me,” he said, and it made you frown once more. You took a step closer, and your hand quickly found its way to his cheek, forcing him to look back at you. He caught him off guard, as he was waiting for you to say anything.  “I wasn’t done,” you started, and he didn’t know how to answer this. When he was about to finally say something, you didn’t give him the opportunity to. Your lips met his for a few seconds, before you looked back into his eyes, your hand leaving his face. “Now I am.”  He must look so dumb right now, but he was looking at you with a confused expression and a blush at the same time. His mind was a mess, screaming at the alert. It made you laugh a little, which brought him back to Earth. He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure.  “I guess we’re fine then,’ he said and you rolled your eyes, with an amused smile over your lips. You took his hand in yours, nodding slowly. “Guess we are. Natsu:

You guys just never thought announcing your relationship was necessary

So when Lucy joined and people started commenting on the chemistry between them Natsu brushed it off as just jokes

He doesn't even notice your jealous until you start distancing yourself from him

When he finally catches a clue he is confused why you would be jealous, after all he chose you didn't he?

But he would definitely take the time to reassure you that you have nothing to worry about

after making sure you know nothing will ever happen between him and Lucy, He will make an announcement to the Guild

Like he's jumping on a table and proclaiming that he is in love with you and will never look at anyone else the same way

After words he is more aware of comments about him and Lucy and shuts them down as soon as he hears them

Gajeel:

He was the one to suggest keeping the relationship quite, after every thing he did to fairy tale he didn't want you to get criticized for what he has done

When people started making comments about him and Levy, he just ignored them because he already had someone

So when you started to distance yourself he didn't really think it was connected

But once Panther Lily tells him that he needs to make it clear how he feels, he begins brainstorming

the next time you walk into the guild hall be ready for Gajeel to be on stage singing a song about you that barely make any sense

Once he finishes the song, even if he is slightly embarrassed he will pull you in front of everyone and announce that you are together and that he'll punch anyone who makes you feel bad

Gray:

You guys agreed that with Juvia's weird obsession with Gray, keeping your relationship between you and maybe your closest friends was the safest bet

But as Juvia became more touchy and more direct about her feelings, it put both you and Gray on edge

When he starts to notice you shying away from even just sitting together at the guild hall, he is more than ready to do something about it

He will fully put Juvia in her place, telling her that He is dating you and that if she keeps up with her shit or does anything to make you uncomfortable he'll take the problem to the master

he's not playing around, he doesn't want her kicked out of the guild but if she keeps making you uncomfortable then so be it

Sting:

It was your Idea to keep it on the down low, only Rouge, Frosch, Lector, and Yukino know

You just felt that with him being the new Saber tooth master, people would think he was showing favoritism if they knew you were together

He didn't like the idea but because you asked for it to be that way he accepted

But then rumors started spreading that he was showing favoritism to Yukino and you started to pull back from him

Both Yukino and Sting shut down every rumor as carefully as they can with out revealing who Sting is actually dating

Sting also tries his best to assure you that nothing is happening between him and Yukino

Eventually though it's Frosch who manages to get everyone to shut up about Sting being with Yukino

Frosch being as dumb as they are forgot it was supposed to be a secret

One afternoon when everyone was just chilling in the guild hall when someone asks Sting when he plans to marry Yukino, and before anyone else can tell them to shut up Frosch just goes "but Frosch thought Sting wanted to marry Y/n" queue the whole guild going dead silent

After Frosch's little comment everyone was confused so Sting rolled with it, deciding that he might as well just announce that. yes you and him are in fact together
