Has a soft spot for the lore focused player, mostly since they like the garbage can lore and that’s something he feels he and the player can bond over.

But both players hold a special place in his heart since he’s formed a bond with both of them over the course of the game.

Dan Heng has so many questions. Why are the players calling him their “child”? He’s older than they are. And there’s certainly no biological connection.

Regardless, he knows it’s their way of displaying affection so he’ll take their comments with gratitude, despite their baffling nature.

Has a preference towards the lore invested player, mostly because history and the story behind the story are his interests as well. He feels they can bond over that shared interest.

He also appreciates it when the players find records that get added to the archive. He wouldn’t be able to read as much if they didn’t so he’s very grateful.

Unlike Dan Heng, March absolutely loves being referred to as one of the players “children”. She thinks it’s a sweet term of affection.

She doesn't like playing favourites but she has a preference towards the player that prefers fighting and flirting. She thinks they’re fun!

Like Caelus, March loves the banter between the players, as long as it doesn’t get too serious; she likes to keep things fun.

She always gets nervous when the story progresses with only one player present. She knows they only play the storyline together, so she gets concerned that something has happened to the other player.

Welt is concerned about the players sometimes…why is one of the players calling Screwllum their “hubby”? And is the other player talking about him when they talk about the old man?!

But his concern is just his way of displaying his affection for the players.

The contrast between their playing styles may have confused and annoyed him at first but it quickly grows on him and now he can’t imagine any other playing style.

Doesn’t really have a favourite between the players. If he had to choose, he might lean more towards the lore focused player since flirting isn’t really his style. But he cares for the both pretty equally.

Jing Yuan will argue over who the players are referring to when they talk about the “old men” forever. In his mind, that’s him; if he’s going to be called old, it may as well be in reference to someone showing interest in him…

He’s a general so he has a lot of respect for the players for taking turns when their respective interests and strengths are relevant.

Despite their cohesion, Jing Yuan will sometimes critique the players on their shortfallings. They work well together most of the time, but when one plays ahead, Jing Yuan just shakes his head.

He knows there’s going to be some pettiness to follow the next time both players are on together.

Sampo doesn’t know whether to be flattered or insulted when the players keep talking about him being “just a goofy little guy who’s just a little fruity”.

He loves the fighting and flirting player; they remind him a lot of himself so he feels like they share a strong connection.

Since he’s the only one with the power to break the fourth wall, he often passes on messages from the other characters. He just has to find ways to work those messages into the story so it doesn’t seem strange.

And the other characters have to repay him somehow. Sampo’s not doing that for free, he’s got his own messages to pass along as well.

When she came home for the first time, she was bombarded by screams as the players celebrated her arrival.

Doesn’t have a favourite between the players but if forced to choose, she would probably say the fighting flirting player.

What can she say? Undying affection is something she can appreciate and that player certainly has that in droves for her.

Blade is more reserved about his affection for the players. His main way of displaying affection for them is increasing the number of quotes he says about death.

He knows the lore based player likes those quotes and he enjoys hearing the banter between the players after he says something edgy.

He is slightly concerned about them sometimes though. His edginess and depression is fine since he’s just a character. But it’s different for the players and he hopes they’re doing okay.

No preference between the players but he prefers it when they’re both playing together. It leads to less conflict in the future…

you know on one hand I get their perspective. ARMYtwt has been miserable lately. I think some ARMYs underestimate the importance of this kind of stuff in growing the community and keeping ARMYs engaged, happy and united (as corny as I personally find it). Just talking about charts and streaming is not going to interest a lot of people, and things being so intense and miserable all the time is not great for moral either. If there was NO shipping in the AU and no singular villain I get how it could be okay and I can sympathize with the ARMYs who were upset that it got canceled.

On the other hand… we have literally seen this play out before, we have seen how many ARMYs do not have the maturity to handle it, we have seen how it led to JM receiving hate & how many ARMYs straight up did not care… imo it’s fair to be wary and skeptical - especially if the OP doesn’t even want to reveal their main account? Like sorry but that’s a major red flag for me. 1. I DIDN’T THINK OF THAT ACTUALLY??? BUT OMG THAT’S PERFECT 💀 and also yes, they could probably go hours just talking about it and ava would absolutely nap to the sound of them having debates about it

2. nope! she’s a relief lighthouse keeper, so she only ever works there when suzanne needs her to. which is,,, more times than suzanne cares to admit definitely

3. yep! a conscious choice and an outright struggle lmao but when i planned for this fic to be in ava’s pov, i also planned for both of their backstories plus the scenes that’d make it possible for them to share. i—tbh, i spent an unhinged amount of time just planning this LMAO

4. also yes! i don’t normally write in just one character’s pov, but it seemed fun so i was like whatever 😂 as for what i loved about writing from her perspective, it’s definitely her love for living and the world. that was a major thing in this fic, and it’s the primary reason why i chose to write this in her pov. honorable mentions: her rambly thoughts are so much fun to write, her humor too.

5. ok so i was researching lighthouses and turns out, there aren’t a lot of them that are still manned — most are automated now. but of the places i read about, norway seemed like the one that realistically would have more lighthouses than average. that, and i was going for end of the earth kind of vibe without going all the way to like,,, the north/south pole 😂

6. so many 😭 like so, so many. the storm for one. that walk for the final tasks before they kissed was another. then also her planning to leave with ava. i could go on and on about this 😂

7. also so many 💀 there’s one where ava transfers a piece of penne onto bea’s plate because bea joked “i’ll give you a penne for your thoughts”. the dancing in the epilogue was supposed to be a whole thing. i also have enough fragments for another smut scene. and these are all just,,, in my notes and i have no idea what to do with them LMAO

8. i’m going to periodically cry because i’m so relieved and also so sad that i finished it 😂 and then i’m gonna read all the fics i wasn’t able to read while writing this sakdhsj and then—well, you’ll see 😌

Hello again, same anon who sent the ask about Tang Sanzang. I can understand your view on him, but I do think what he did to the horse was out of fear (now i haven't read JTTW so I could be wrong). I do love the idea of reader being a 'big sister' figure to him. Personally I see her trying to ground/calm him when things go wrong, and offering comfort if he needs it (in his position, I'd be hella stressed out)

In the last post, I did say my Reader did let the horse beating go due to the fact there was a Tiger and no human being in any world would be chill during a situation like that.

My Reader definitely understands the situation they're in and how stressful it is. Of course, she would try to be a fair and calm influence, but she is not immune to stress and does become quite stern and angry when push enough. My Reader naturally enjoys messing with people (it's how I show affection) it's all in good fun but would tone it down if it affects him too much.

My Reader has his back whenever he needs that support, but still reserves the right to be irritated when he F's up too much

The air feels thick. These days it’s hard to come across alcohol that merely so much as makes their heads feel fuzzy, let alone make them drunk, and yet somehow Douma managed to anyway. Akaza has now idea how he did that and he honestly doesn’t want to know. For now, he downs another shot and tries to tune back into whatever his higher ups are talking about.

“And I’m telling you, it’s not about remembering the person, it’s more of a feeling, you know?” Douma points at the wall. “I see them and a little voice in my mind just goes ‘I hate you.’ I don’t need to know the reason.”

Akaza would love to give some words of approval but he really doesn’t need to give his rival that satisfaction, just because he said something true for once. Also, he’s not sure whether he could if he wanted to. His tongue feels sticky. Everything feels sticky. He downs another shot.

“Mhm.” Kokushibo swivels his drink, spills some drops on the table and stops. “Although if you choose to forget the source of your hate, forgiveness will never be an option.”

While Douma turns into a somewhat smart version of himself when drunk, Kokushibo does the complete opposite. “Bullshit.” Good job Akaza, that wasn’t completely incomprehensible.

“Now now.” Douma’s eyes were halfway into closing, now they squint at him with that stupid lazy expression. “There might be some truth to this.”

“There’s not.” Akaza does his best to glare back. “No one ever deserves forgiveness anyways.”

Kokushibo nods. “I never claimed so.”

“Ballsy statement.” Upper Two grins and refills all of their glasses. “Fair though… forgiveness is so boring. Everything should be resolved through a fight to the death.”

“That’s what I’m saying.”

“As long as it works for you.” Kokushibo’s slurring his words slightly and it takes everything for Akaza not to think judgy thoughts. He’s currently getting drunk on an unidentifiable liquor Douma brought, he’s not in the position to think judgy thoughts about anything.

“Does it?” Douma’s eyes gleam with curiosity. “I mean, work for you? Actually?”

Akaza wants to say Yes and then stops himself just in time to rethink his answer. Does it? Actually? “Sometimes.”

“Ah.” Douma grins at Kokushibo as if they share a secret Akaza isn’t in on, which- they’re talking about him, this is ridiculous- “The Flame Pillar.”

He doesn’t want to snap like he does, really, but no level of intoxication could ever be high enough for him to ignore that. “Mind your fucking business.”

“Oho, did you hear that, Lord Kokushibo? Someone’s being a little moody.” Douma’s grin only widens as he refills their glasses once more. “Relax. You won, didn’t you? And against a rather strong fighter too. What’s there to be moody about?”

Akaza scoffs. “Sure didn’t feel like a victory.”

“Wanna know what I think?”

Before he can say No, because no, Kokushibo softly clears his throat. “You should hear him out.”

It sounds more like youshhhoulhearhimou but Akaza isn’t so stupid to think that Kokushibo won’t remember this. He rolls his eyes in defeat. “I’m waiting.”

Douma smirks. “I think you’re just being dramatic about it to feel better about yourself after Lord Muzan got so angry at you. A victory is a victory, no matter how much you got your shit rocked.”

“Language, Douma.”

And while the other two now start to bicker about cussing, Akaza can’t do much more than cling to his glass and think to himself that Douma has no idea what he’s talking about.
