Faery Magic 🧚🏽✨
Hello darlings 🥰
Let's embark on a whimsical journey into the enchanting realm of faery magic. The fae, with their ethereal beauty and mischievous nature, have captivated our imaginations for centuries. Here are some insights and ways to connect with faery magic:
🌺 Honoring the Faery Folk:
Create a small faery altar or sacred space in your garden or home. Decorate it with flowers, crystals, and shiny trinkets to invite the fae to visit. Leave offerings of honey, milk, or small treats to express your appreciation for their presence.
🍃 Communing with Nature:
Spend time in nature, especially in wild and secluded places like forests, meadows, or by a babbling brook. Observe the delicate flowers, listen to the whispering trees, and feel the gentle touch of the breeze. The fae are deeply connected to the natural world, and by immersing yourself in it, you can align with their energy.
🔮 Faery Divination:
Use divination tools like tarot cards or oracle decks with faery themes to gain insight and guidance from the fae. Let their wisdom and enchantment inspire your readings and offer unique perspectives on your spiritual journey.
🌸 Faery Offerings and Charms:
Leave small offerings in your garden, such as shiny trinkets, flowers, or even a tiny faery house. These gifts show your respect and willingness to engage with the fae. Craft faery charms using crystals, feathers, and other natural materials, carrying their magic with you wherever you go.
✨ Faery Spells and Rituals:
Create spells and rituals to invite faery blessings into your life. Work with herbs like lavender, rosemary, and thyme, known for their association with the fae. Craft sigils or write petitions to request their assistance in areas such as creativity, healing, or protection.
🌿 Faery Gardens:
Design a faery garden, a magical sanctuary that serves as a haven for the fae. Choose plants that attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Create small hidden nooks with fairy houses, tiny statues, and sparkling lights to make the garden feel like a gateway to their realm.
🌺 Respect and Etiquette:
When interacting with the fae, always approach with respect and reverence. Seek their permission before entering their sacred spaces or touching any objects associated with them. Show gratitude for any signs or encounters you experience.

Faery magic is a dance of wonder and imagination. Embrace the childlike wonder within you, cultivate a deep connection with nature, and open your heart to the mysteries of the fae. Allow their enchantment to infuse your life with joy, inspiration, and a touch of whimsy. 🌿✨

🧚‍♀️ types of witches: faerie witch edition 🧚‍♀️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
someone who seeks guidance and works with the fae folk. they usually have an altar decorated with shinny things, statues, and plants in which they place their offerings of candy or fruits. they know to care for the faeries but also to beware them, for, though they don't mean to cause permanent harm, some of them can be quite mischievous. a faerie witch will likely feel very connected to the nature, especially to flora filled with flowers and berries.

A university professor claims to have photographed fairies flying through the air in the British countryside.
John Hyatt, 53, says his series of photos taken in the past two years demonstrate that small winged creatures exist in the Rossendale Valley, Lancashire.
He said, 'It was kind of surprising when I blew them up, I did a double take. I went out later and took pictures of flies and mosquitoes and they just don't look the same. 'People can decide for themselves what they are. The message for people is to approach them with an open mind. I think it's one of those situations you must believe in to see.
Many people who have seen them say they have brought a little magic into their lives and that there is not enough of that. "

Hello darlings 🥰
In the month of June, there are several witchy celebrations, events, and topics of interest that you can explore with links to an informative post on each topic. Here are a few notable ones:
☀️Litha/Midsummer:
Celebrated around June 20th, Litha marks the summer solstice and is a time to honor the sun's peak and the abundance of nature. It's a great opportunity for outdoor rituals, bonfires, and connecting with the energy of the sun.
😎The Festival of the Green Man:
The Festival of the Green Man is typically celebrated around the summer solstice, which falls on June 20th or 21st in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a time when the earth is alive with the energy of renewal and the Green Man is honored for his role in the cycle of life.
🌿Herb Harvesting:
June is a wonderful time for gathering and harvesting herbs. Explore your local area or your own garden for herbs like lavender, chamomile, rosemary, and mint. These herbs can be used for spells, teas, bath rituals, or creating herbal remedies.
🌕Full Moon Magic:

About the Fae & The Story of Tam Lin

However this is not the only type of fae out there.
Especially depending on the culture, fae can appear as many different things including leprechauns, changelings, merrow, and banshees. And those listed were just from Irish folklore and legends - https://exemplore.com/magic/typesofirishfairies
A famous story I like to quote when discussing fae and fairies is the story of Tam Lin. It is an old fairy ballad from Scotland, and I will summarize the story and its details here;
The story begins with the warning that maidens should not go to the woods of Carterhaugh, and if they do they should leave a token such as a ring or green cloak because it is haunted by the mysterious Tam Lin, and he will take her virginity if no offering is left.
Bonny Janet, the daughter of the owner of the surrounding lands, enters the forest when her father gives the woods to her. Despite the warnings, she walks in and plucks a double headed white rose. Tam Lin appears and asks Janet why she is in the haunted forest. Janet insists she meant no harm and they introduce themselves. Upon learning he is in fact Tam Lin, she is startled, though he reassures her he wishes her no harm and is human like her. He takes her virginity consensually and Janet becomes pregnant. Though her father isn’t happy with this at first, she reassured him that it wasn’t malicious and that none of the knights did this. Wandering back to the forest she contemplated using herbs to end the pregnancy, but Tam Lin reappears and explains his story.
He explains to her that his parents died when he was an infant, so his grandfather took him in. One day, and years later, they were hunting in these words that Janet now owns, when “cold, strange wind came up from the north and blew every leaf”. He became sleepy and fell far behind the other hunters, eventually falling from the horse and falling into a deep sleep. When he woke up he found himself in the faery land, where he had been taken after being kidnapped by the Elf/Faery Queen. He was cursed to forever guard the woods of Carterhaugh and to return to her kingdom every night. Unfortunately the fae are tasked with paying a tithe to hell every seven years on All Hallows’ Eve. They decided to sacrifice humans they’d captured instead of sacrificing their own, and Tam Lin finds that this very year is the year he is set to be sacrificed, and this happens to be the exact day he is to be sacrificed.
Janet resolves to aid him in breaking this curse, and they come up with a plan for her to rescue him that night. At midnight she sneaks out in a green cloak, which camouflages her from faery eyes. She watches as the faery preseason goes by and once she sees Tam Lin’s horse, she leaps out and pulls him out of the saddle. The queen of the faeries, upset, transforms him into first a lizard, then a snake, then a bear, a lion, a chuckle of red hot iron, and finally a flame. Fortunately, Tam Lin had earlier revealed that since she was pregnant with his child, he could never truly physically harm her. So though the flames pained her, she did not burn and would not die, so she kept holding onto him tight until she could dump Tam Lin in fire form into a well, extinguishing him and returning him into his human form.
Janet clothes him in her green cloak, and the Queen reluctantly concedes, only saying this as she left them “The fairest knight in all my company is lost to the world of mortals. Farewell, Tam Lin! Had I but known that an earthly woman would win you with her love, I would have taken out your heart of flesh and put in a heart of stone. And had I known that fair Janet was coming to Carterhaugh, I would have taken out your two grey eyes and put in two of wood."
“As the sound of their bridle bells died away, Tam Lin gently caught hold of one of Janet's poor blistered hands, and together they returned to the castle. There, it is said, her father blessed their union and they lived a long and happy life together. But they never forgot how they first met. Always, on Samhain, Tam Lin would take Janet for a walk through the woods, pluck for her a red, red rose and plant hundreds of soothing kisses on the brutally scarred hands that had saved him.” - The Tale of Tam Lin, the Elf Knight By Bridget Haggerty

This is one of my many drawings that I enjoyed so much doing, thinking it looked better and better while it was progressing and which I ended up kind of disappointed with at the end. I had a discussion about that with a few of my artist friends, and I feel less alone now. It seems that we all very often feel that disappointment when we finish an artwork, regardless of the time, energy and thought we spent on it. This drawing here was exactly that. I was so happy while creating it, and had so mixed feelings at the end. But I’ve also learnt not to judge my own art because… it’s a bit complicated but to summarize, I’m just the hands that did it, and it’s not my role to judge the end result. (Maybe I’ll write a blog post to talk more about the subject) ✨✨ . . . #emmastone #emmastoneedit #fairy #fairywitch #fairylights #fairyart #fairydrawing #fairyaesthetic #fairygarden #fairytree #fairyforest #forestfairy #faery #faerywitch #faerymagic #magicforest #witchaesthetic #witchyvibes #witchart #witchartist #witchdrawing #magicart #magicalforest #witchatwork #magicalfairydust #witchdress #artofhelpingartists (at Paris, France) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRZfAo5lDQM/?utm_medium=tumblr
