ramblings under read more;

This year I tried to go with loose sketchy lines, and more contrasting values/colours! I'm trying to stop my brain telling me that every line needs to be perfect, and to ignore backgrounds if they're too stressful, because at the end of the day, who cares?

At the start of 2024, my goal was to try to find a fun and fast art style to help set my "brand". Now, at the end of the year, I don't want to box myself into one set style, even if having one go-to look would help tremendously with applying to conventions and marketing myself. Lots of overarching themes though! (half-body, glowing eyes, more spooky/horror adjacent, fx and typography)

I have some other fun pieces I haven't been able to post yet (part of upcoming zines) - with limited colours and halftones; two things that I also enjoy playing around with that have drastically different styles and tones than what I've been uploading lately (aside from the Swim On sharks)

My comic has also been taking over a majority of my free time, so I suspect next year will be hunkerin' down and working on that some more. I think my 2025 goal is to just focus on having fun with art and doing whatever.
