One day I'll learn French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and Urdu understand everything Faouzia, Pedro Pascal, Assad Zaman and IWTV characters speak/sing without subtitles or translation. Maybe even Bengali too. I mean, it's Assad's first language, but I don't think he's used it for a character? People really act helpless about scammers & just call any Palestinian fundraiser a "scam" because they're too lazy to check and being racist.

Like How are you suspicious of the Palestinian blog that's been vetted (which includes things like checking I.D's for authenticity, which other Palestinians on tumblr would be intimately familiar with & would know what a fake one looks like) by like 3 other Palestinians on here...

But you can't tell that the blog that the scam blog has Urdu on their blog (while claiming its Arabic), has used the same stolen icon from Twitter over multiple blogs while pretending to be multiple different people (which you'd find if you bothered to reverse image search it), a Kenyan paypal name, and has used the same story a gazillion times, is in fact the scammer?

"Wah I can't tell which ones are the scammers" 1. You're acting helpless 2. If you took 10 minutes to do some prior research you'd be able to tell more easily 3. You can literally just visit a scam buster's blog to ask or check our resources.

kinda just wanna put this out there but if any of you ever need a resource for like cultural stuff in case you're including charles' indian background in your fics, i am free.

i am pakistani + punjabi, speak urdu (and therefore a fair bit of hindi too), know a tiny bit of punjabi (and actually have people fluent in it living in the same house as me so yk), and fully willing to help out to whatever extent i can.

As a desi girl (sab toh soni saadi desi girl iykyk) I was pleasantly surprised when i got to the Psych Bollywood themed episode "Bollywood Homicide" [s4 ep 6] because it wasn't caricatural or disrespectful (in my opinion) and you can tell that actual south asians worked on it when you look at the cast, the opening theme being sung in hindi / urdu, the choice of songs played in the episode, the storyline and the characters + the fact that they had Juliet in a blue saari which is literally the BEST color anyone could have ever picked for her and she looked drop dead gorgeous !!!! And also can we talk about ABIGAIL KNOWING URDU / HINDI ??? She's so perfect I love her 🫂

Especially for something that came out circa 2009 i was reallyyyy worried it wouldn't hold up now but it truly does and it's a really good episode ♡ Love the Psych themed episodes so much !!

p.s : i know it's bare minimum for a show not to be flat out racist lmfao but i love how its just a really well made episode like all the others in the show and they had actual south asians working on it (and also the fact that NOT EVERY BROWN CHARACTER HAD AN EXAGGERATED ACCENT)

Meet Nectar Goldenheart

The youngest sibling who loves wreak havoc with Nimona, chill and tease his sister Grethyl, making sure his parents knows he loves them, playing jazz (much to Ballister's dismay) and most importantly, admiring his crush, Kyno Shieldblade. A fan child made by @goldenheart-supremacy between Todd and Aerin. Good stuff I tell you good stuff.

Some facts about him:

Nectar loves bees, to the point that his aesthetic is bees.

Nectar plays the trombone.

Has bad eyesight like Ballister but prefers to wear contacts instead, thus the yellow eyes.

Can speak Korean and Urdu but prefers to speak Urdu while Grethyl likes to speak Korean more

Both will rant in their favorite languages.
