trauma can be of various types and it does not only have to be induced due to one major event. there can also be trauma from situations of acute stress over a prolonged period of time. 

choosing the wrong or right people does not mean they are good or bad. it means understanding what is healthy for you and what you want. it’s not putting them into boxes, it’s simply knowing what is healthy for you.

why do you wait for a green light from others? what is your green light? why do your decisions have to be based on what others want? what do you want?

being a friendly person and being an open book does not mean that you cannot have boundaries. 

you disappointing someone or them disappointing you does not have to be the end of the relationship.

The thing I hate the most about desi households is how we all are expected to do things for others just because 'we are a family'.

Umm.. No! I'd rather rot in my bed than doing unnecessary things for you, which you are capable of doing on your own.

I hate when people depend on me for their tasks. No one was there for me. I had to do everything on my own. It irks me. More than that, it hurts me.

i think people don't understand that your life when living with a parent(s) who you don't really get along with isn't all black and white. it's not good or bad. it's neither 100% love nor 100% hatred. it's always in the grey zone. it's the varying emotions - usually a mix of them. its usually i love you so much but i also hate you. I cannot live without you but i also can't live with you.
