Tutorial on drawing characters/OCs who have some sort of facial paralysis. It doesn't cover all possible variants because I was using mirror as my main reference lawl

Keep in mind that this is an introductory drawing tutorial and has some generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People 👍

does anyone else with tongue weakness have issues biting your tongue? when my neurological issues "flare up" my tongue tends to stick to the side and gets really sore from constantly catching under my teeth. not really a full on bite just irritation from always being under my teeth. I have such a hard time keeping it in the center of my mouth

What is Facial Paralysis (Bell's Palsy), Causes, Symptoms, Treatments & More

In Ayurveda, the balance of problems, health, and imbalance are considered to be the causes of diseases. Among the three problems named Vata-Pitta-Kapha, the work of creation, confirmation, and compensation of the body at every moment is handled by Kapha.

To make these things suitable for the body, necessary changes are done by pitta. The manifestation of the pitta and kapha problems and the control and functioning of their functions is accomplished by vata.

What is Facial Paralysis (Bell’s Palsy)

80 types of rheumatic diseases have been described in Ayurveda, out of which facial paralysis is also a type of rheumatic disease. In paralysis, the power to work in the affected area is lost.

When only the face or mouth is affected by paralysis, it is called facial paralysis. Thus, the disease arising from the disorder of Vatadosha in which half of the patient’s mouth becomes crooked, is called paralysis disease in Ayurveda and facial paralysis in modern medical science.

Facial Paralysis Causes

According to Ayurveda, speaking in a loud voice, eating hard foods, laughing too loudly, yawning, heavy lifting, and sleeping in odd postures cause damage to the face or brain due to compression of sensory or sensory nerves, etc.

Apart from this, this disease occurs due to the consumption of gas-enhancing food, intake of very cold air, and excessive blood loss in pregnant women, pregnant women, children, and old and emaciated men.

You can see she is still affected by the facial paralysis. The right side of her mouth is still slightly droopy also she must still be having problems with her eyes as a result, hence her need to always wear the sunglasses.

Hopefully Tiffany will make a full recovery soon and get back to her old cheerful self again.

It doesn't matter who she is or isn't, all kinds of get people get interviewed on tv regardless or their societal status or who they are dating/married to. Get over it.

Gayle King and Bobby D are friends so maybe Tiffany was invited to do the interview.

Since nobody here is in charge of who appears on tv shows (in general not just CBS mornings) you don't get to decide whether or not she should or should not be interviewed by Gayle King or anyone else for that matter.

Anyone saying Bell's Palsy is no big deal and with treatment the recovvery is quick. Not for everyone it isn't and in this case the fact that it's a postpartum complication makes it differen. The recover time can be much longer than for a woman who isn't pregnant/recently given birth. And some effects of the facial paralysis can be permanent. Alsoa the recovery rates are as follows. 52% for pregnant women 77-88% for non pregnant women.

Please be kind. Everyone is different and treaments that work for some people don;t always work for others.
