Its partially becuase I know personally how much it sucks to have people draw fanart or take your templates without asking..

But part of it I feel is just.. basic manners? Right? Its heartbreaking to me that just asking to do that stuff beforehand is not the norm. I wouldn't want people do draw/use my stuff without asking, so why should I do that to others?

Even if I see on their blog someone surprised them with fanart and they were over the moon about it. I'd still ask. Its their stuff, I should ask. The answer could be no, you never know! Just be decent and ask first.

I was thinking that a monsters magic and body are very intertwined. Like if a monster is physically wounded that effects their ability to use their magic in a way..?

4. What is something that they’re secretly good at? Do they have a hidden talent, such as being a brilliant kazoo player or a master chess wizard?

Xan has a ton of hobbies that he's gotten pretty darn skilled at over the years, just by virtue of being someone who's lived a long time and tried a lot of different things. Something that very rarely comes up is that he's a pretty good artist, mostly by way of anatomical studies and scientific drawings.

6. What is something they are absolutely hopeless at doing? Why?

The long-running gag that Xan can't brew tea for shit. He doesn't actually like tea all that much but had it ingrained for him that a polite host will brew a cup for visitors. It all tastes like hot grungy juice to him.

9. Tell me your favorite moment with your OC. (Either that you wrote or drew.)

Xan's had a lot of lovely moments, but I think what was most important for his growth has been using the polymorph wand that hurt and traumatized him so badly to help make Athena. To affirm that the wand is not a force of evil but something that can be used for kindness and positive change was a really important moment for him.
