Whether or not McLean meant Lennon or Lenin, despite writing the latter and referencing the former, it highlights how revolutionary and cultural movements can intersect. @/not-out-the-loop is a fictional Tumblr blog ran by iNSYNC duo Red and Marquise. Since it's creation in 2017, back when LOOPiN had nothing but a trainee recruiting poster to prove itself a real thing, the Tumblr page has been dedicated to keeping track of all news and media regarding the group and it's members.

Now, years later, @/not-out-the-loop has evolved past being a fanbase and has turned into an archive of sorts, given their extended documentation of pre-debut and post-debut information. Red and Marquise's knowledge surpasses the one of regular fans by miles: deeming themselves 'LOOPiN scholars', they have spent too much time digging around all corners of the internet to not know a detail or many about how the group actually functions.

Red and Marquise are a controversial figure in the iNSYNC fandom exactly for that reason: they will answer any question asked by anyone both objectively and sharing their two cents, if they deem it interesting. Much of their threads have been taken out of context by antis and akgaes, specially their coverage of the many alleged in group fights. Their supporters, however, will always point out how they have been integral in the fight against many LOOPiN sasaengs and have not hesitated to help fanbases pull out evidence against false rumors.

Love them or hate them, everyone agrees that it's almost impossible to prove them wrong.

Alright, so. Given that reboot Vergil grew up as in a rich family, I purpose:

Reboot Vergil who has been to enough rich people parties, especially in college, that he knows the names (slang and official) of every recreational drug out there and has probably seen people doing them all (either separately or together) at least once, and in general knows what the effects of each drug and drug combo is and what people look like when they're on one or more of them. Like, he could go to a club and see someone snorting a line of coke and not even blink- which I think might surprise Dante... or again, it might not, since drugs are expensive, so of course rich people buy and use them. I'd kinda be shocked if Dante didn't know that, either from just cultural osmosis or seeing it firsthand.

Same things (for Vergil) with clubs like Devil's Dalliance- Vergil probably knows about and has probably even been to clubs like that. I doubt he really goes there on his own, especially after he "woke up" and figured out demons were real and that he wasn't human, just because that's not safe. But even before that, that doesn't really seem like his idea of fun, y'know? I could see him going if a friend dragged him to one and he felt like he HAD to go, but not really going on his own for fun, y'know?

Side note/personal headcanon:

There's a really fucked up scene in the first DMC novel where the demons use a combo of drugs, people, and music to turn the people into demons. Apparently whatever was going on at that party (which included one death to kick things off, then a lot of death by demons to follow) counted as some kind of "ceremony" and "blood offering" that let the demons in. Just makes me wonder if reboot Vergil has ever been to any similar parties. The party in the first DMC novel is set up like that to let the demons cross over and possess the corpses, but the demons in the reboot wouldn't need that kind of limitation.

Still, we know in the reboot Lilith gets the humans that come to Devil's Dalliance hooked on drugs and then brainwashes them to be demon collaborators, so maybe Vergil could stumble upon something like that? Maybe happening to a friend of his?

My favorite thing in the world is when people give reboot Vergil a social life so I am personally all in favor for him being dragged to parties and clubs, especially in college.

I know the common read of reboot Vergil is he's sort of this lifeless workaholic little shut in and everything but I just...never got that from him personally. He's just...too charismatic and pretty and sociable like that guy has most certainly left the house idk. He's an over achiever sure, but he does things asdfghj he has friends (outside of just Kat)

Anyway, I would not be surprised honestly. I tend to see reboot Vergil as very worldly and while he isn't as street smart as Dante, he is pretty aware of things and has probably seen a lot of stuff. There also had to be some on sight research into what was going on at Devil's Dalliance and everything.

I do think the angle of Devil's Dalliance being used also as a recruitment place and everything is really interesting and makes a lot of sense.
