okay, one of my favorite things about wyrd sisters is how nanny and magrat are FULLY realized characters from the very start omg.

when I first went through it, I hadn’t read equal rites yet, and so I assumed that nanny/magrat had made their intros there, but nope!!! entirely new creations, and they’re so vividly drawn that they feel like they’ve belonged in the fabric of discworld since the dawn of the multiverse.

granny and nanny’s relationship especially feels lived in—the deep sense of history between them, the way they constantly bicker and argue and inevitably come together at the end (usually to bicker and argue with other people).
