Targeted by Meilin in particular

Kidnapped by obnoxious pre-teen boys

Gets frostbite

Gets concussed

Gets stabbed

Gets captured

Gets beaten up by Meilin

Lied to and betrayed by her dearest friend

Meanwhile dad DISOWNS her

Understandable depressive episode

Makes up with dad because he apparently decided he wanted to keep treating his daughter like shit

Watching Harley Quinn and Joker in the original Animated Series is making me really really sad because the DV relationship I escaped from like a year and a half ago was exactly like them and it's so dumb but I almost miss it. There's something strangely comfortable about being that dependent on another person, you know? It doesn't matter what he does to her. She'll always come back. I used to be just like her. I was miserable and manic and agonized but I had him and that was all that mattered. I didn't think about anything else. He was my every waking moment. I joked about how he tried to kill me. I smiled when he hit me. I would turn to make it easier for him to aim at my ribs if he wanted. I did everything. I had the same blind faith she does in him. I don't miss the abuse but I miss feeling like there was always somewhere for me to go.
