Could ‘Green’ Projects Help Cushion The Slowdown In Aluminium Demand - Mcalloys
Tumblr media
Demand for aluminium around the world over the course of 2023 has been – to put it mildly – disappointing, and recent data has supported this conclusion.
The LME aluminium price has declined by around 7% over the course of 2023, with prices trending sideways for months now as power costs have helped fend off further declines. Given a combination of China’s sluggish recovery from COVID-19 lockdowns, and stagnant economic growth in Europe and the United States, this situation is sadly not overly surprising.
Could, however, the green sector be a source of hope for the global aluminium market? The prospect has been raised by Dutch financial services group ING**, which has signalled its belief that the rising rates of electric vehicle (EV) adoption and environmentally friendly infrastructure investments could help counteract the fall in demand for the lightweight metal in the more “traditional” industries this year.
There could be reason for hope for aluminium, away from traditional industries
If the global aluminium market was purely dependent right now on orders from traditional sectors such as packaging, building and construction, it would be in an even more dire situation; ING has observed that “sales, starts, and under-construction year-to-date numbers are all in negative territory.”  While Constellium’s recent financial statement reports packaging demand is down in Europe and the USA.
However, ING noted that the “green parts” of the Chinese economy were actually on the up.
Aluminium has many qualities suited to energy generation, transmission, and storage technologies – encompassing such solutions as solar and wind power, hydrogen production, alternative fuel cells, high-voltage cables, and batteries – there could be some hope for related aluminium demand to support demand in 2024.
It is in China where the growth in green technologies will largely be powered – supported by a variety of consumer subsidies and state support more than half of electric cars manufactured on roads worldwide, are now in the East Asian country.
China’s new energy vehicles (NEVs) sector – which comprises both plug-in hybrids and battery electric vehicles – has recorded stellar growth as of late. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) has said that NEV sales in the country were 956,000 during October, reaching a new record, after the September figure of 904,000 had, itself, been a record.
It should, then, perhaps be no great surprise that aluminium prices in China have tended to be stronger than global prices during 2023, with the Shanghai Futures Exchange price trading at a significant premium to the London Metal Exchange price since the Spring, despite the wider Chinese economy suffering a slowdown.
A muted outlook for international aluminium demand
The same commitment cannot be seen among governments outside of China with EV sales growing as a proportion of total sales but with total automotive sales remaining depressed, without more subsidy support EV’s contribution to global aluminium demand in the rest of world so far remains more potential than actual.
In the meantime, therefore, the situation for aluminium demand outside of China remains lacklustre, even if there are hopes of slow increases in demand and prices over the course of 2024.

Facts about Aluminium Extrusion
Information mainly gathered from: https://www.simmal.com/
Before we begin to discuss the facts, let’s start with defining what extrusion actually is. To extrude something would mean you are forcing something through and out of something. The imagery I believe is a great comparison to this would be the way you extrude toothpaste from a toothpaste tube when brushing your teeth. With aluminium, it is the process in which aluminium alloy material is forced through a die with a specific profile that is cross-sectional. A powerful ram pushes the aluminium through the die, and it comes out of the opening of the die.
Origins
The extrusion process has been around since 1797 when a man named Joseph Bramah created the method. It was mainly done manually until the hydraulic press was invented in 1820. It was not until the year of 1894 that a man named Alexander Dick made the world’s very first hot extrusion process to be done without non-ferrous materials. Aluminium extraction was apparently in very high demand during both the world wars in the creation of aircraft and military machinery.
Shapes
So, what shapes can be produced during this process? Well, that is sorted into three categories:
Solid, which has no enclosed voids or openings
Hollow, with one or more voids
Semi-hollow, with a partially enclosed void
Solid shapes are mainly used for things such as beams, rods, and angles. Hollow shapes are mainly used for things such as square or rectangular tubes. Semi-hollow shapes are mainly used for something called a “C” channel with a narrow gap.
See https://www.simmal.com/
Industries
The process of aluminium extrusion is one utilised by a lot of different industries out there. Just to list a few of said industries:
Electronical
Aerospace
Architectural
Automotive
Energy
The process
The extrusion process is one that can be broken down into just ten steps:
The extrusion die is prepared and moved to the extrusion process
An aluminium billet is then preheated before the extrusion
The billet is transferred to the extrusion press
The ram pushes the billet material into the container
The extruded material emerges through the die
Extrusions are guided along with the runout table and quenched
Extrusions are sheared to table length
Extrusions are moved to the stretcher and stretched into alignment
Extrusions are moved to the finish saw and cut to length
After this process is complete, it can be heat treated to enhance its properties. If the heat treatment is utilised, they can have various finishes to the surface which enhance their aesthetic and boost the corrosion protection. Fabrication operations can also be applied to bring them into their final dimensions.
Temperatures
In the extrusion process, the temperatures can range from 375 to 500 degrees which remain below the point of boiling for aluminium allows which is set at around 660 degrees Celsius.
Aesthetics
Aluminium extrusions are not only being utilised in the actual making of products that are related to industries such as food preparation, transportation, and space exploration. This process is now being gaining utilisation in the creation of things such as jewellery and art.
Records set
For the modern consumer, extruded aluminium has a lot of great properties to be utilised such as its increased lifespan, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendliness just to name three. Tesla Motors’ Model S had reached a record automotive safety rating. It achieved this due to the fact it preserved 64.5% of driver residual space because of nesting multiple deep aluminium extrusions in the side rail of the car to absorb impact energy. The company Koga created a bike with a record-breaking A-limited aluminium frame that weighs just over two pounds.

Amcor Flexibles goes for Vetaphone corona equipment
Tumblr media
Amcor’s Gent production facility is a giant, housing gravure printing in up to nine colors, digital printing, solvent and water-based coating, lamination, coextrusion, both cast and film up to nine layers, and Vision Systems for conversion and extrusion. It all began back in 1925 with the production of cellophane, which was the first plastic material used for food packaging.  In 1950, the plant became the first to extrude in Europe, and by the 1960s Amcor Flexibles was making strides in the pharmaceutical, films & packaging, and chemical sectors, with the establishment of a strong R&D culture.
Throughout the 1990s, the Group expanded with numerous acquisitions, including Danisco, A&R, Rexam, and Tobepal, with extruded volumes being consolidated at Gent and the UK plant in Ilkeston.  2008 brought a major 17m Euros investment program at Gent with four new extrusion lines and the construction of a new production hall, while the acquisition of Alcan in 2010 saw conversion and extrusion separated at Gent and in 2019, with the addition of Bemis, the group became a major global leader in package print production.
Today, the Gent plant has a broad product range including peel and barrier packaging that serves all sectors.  PE, PP, PA, and PETg are extruded in up to nine layers and on the converting side, gravure and digital printing combine with lamination, coating, and slitting.  Both extrusion and converting sectors are monitored by Vison Systems to assure quality.
It was into this production environment that Vetaphone set about selling its surface treatment technology, as Dirk Den Haese, sales manager of Vetaphone Benelux explained, “The challenge of working with a large and diverse group like Amcor is knowing where to start! But I knew that the company valued its reputation for quality very highly, and that the accuracy of much of the packaging it produced was critical, so there was clearly no room for any weak link in the production chain.”
Beginning in 1990, Vetaphone has supplied a diverse range of corona technology to the Belgian plant that ranges from 1400 to 2300 mm in web width and generators from 2 x 6kW for extrusion lines to 2 x 10kW for different lamination lines. For its food and pharmaceutical work, Amcor is using exclusively Vetaphone VP2 ceramic rollers to ensure no contamination from the silicone sleeves, vulcanized and aluminium backing rollers.
This has become a standard item for Amcor Flexibles in Gent, where the treaters have performed well, drawing praise for their low maintenance requirements and easy access, and reliable performance that provides the consistently even treatment essential for a quality end-product.
Speaking for Amcor, Andries Van Nieuwenhove, plant general manager at Amcor Flexibles Conversion Gent said, “It is key for us to have good partners who support us in our journey to be the reference supplier of specialty peelable and barrier laminates.”
Amcor is very proud of its customer engagement that takes a bespoke approach to the challenges of modern-day packaging. “From concept to prototype and onto production and recycling, the company works hard at being innovative,” according to commercial director Johan Van Wesemael.  “Using our in-house pilot line and all the analytical assets and expertise we have gathered we can speed up developments and through real-world testing deliver validated solutions.”
Proof of this attention to detail is the number of international quality recognition awards held by Amcor, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, along with ISTA, Ecovadis, and BRC accreditations.  They are, in fact, no more than one would expect from such a major player in the market, but are now the basic requirements for the food, pharma, and industrial sectors that Amcor supplies on a regular and global basis.
To put that size into perspective, Amcor employs 42,500 people across 220 locations in 43 countries – its packaging products are used by more than 4000 brand owners – it holds 3700 patents, trademarks, and registered designs, spends over €100m on R&D each year, enjoying an annual sales turnover of US$14 billion.  As Dirk Den Haese concluded, “If Vetaphone technology is good enough for Amcor, by association it makes us a global leader too – and it’s something we are very proud of!  I estimate we have now installed more than €1m’s worth of our technology at the Gent plant, making Amcor one of our largest customers in the Benelux region.”

Aluprof - A Vertically Integrated Systems Supplier
Elzbieta Kantor - Aluprof Operations Director
Tumblr media
What is ‘vertical integration?’ and why is it important to the specifier when choosing suppliers? Vertical integration for any business is gaining control of upstream processes, normally by bringing them in-house to gain more control and consolidate costs. It is important from a specification process viewpoint as it offers many advantages in ease of supply, quality and costs.
An architectural aluminium systems company designs windows, doors, curtain wall systems and other products for use in building construction. These products are supplied in system form to fabricators and installers who manufacture and install under contract. Each system is extensively tested and carries the appropriate standards and performance levels for various applications.
When single systems are shared among several fabricators, the cost of development, testing, and updating is divided among them, with the systems company handling these tasks.
Many systems companies supply warehouse stock to their customers for ‘off-the-shelf’ windows, doors and curtain walls. As projects become more complex and expect higher performance levels, a systems company that looks to become more vertically integrated offers many advantages to the specifier. Vertical integration can include the ability to smelt aluminium, the design of dies to extrude profiles, inserting thermal breaks in profiles and offering finished profiles, either powder coating or anodised.
Only a few of the leading systems companies operating across the UK and Europe are vertically integrated. Having control of each process that completes a window door or curtain wall system helps limit risk. Between separate suppliers, such as between an extruder and a systems company, conflict can arise when the extrusion supplied does not meet expectations from the systems company, for various reasons, this poses risk, both on supply time and costs.
Following extrusion, main profiles often require thermal breaks to be inserted by first knurling the profile, inserting the thermal break, often made of polyamide along with additional insulation materials and then rolling the profile to create a single section. Being able to integrate a thermal break also allows the systems company to develop special designs of polyamide profiles that can enhance the performance both in thermal and weathering characteristics. In-house finishing of profiles further enhances system allowing for single or bespoke dual colour profiles to be created. All systems companies now offer QUALICOAT powder coated profiles as a standard which is recognised globally. Powder coating all profiles in-house reduces both time and transport requirements.
Vertical process integration can improve safety in the workplace by removing many of the operations where transport is required between businesses. Fewer loadings and unloading of profiles not only reduce potential health and safety issues, but also reduces the risk of profile damage in transit. A further consideration is the reduction in packaging need when profiles require protection when shipped between companies for processing.
Reduced handling of profiles allows for optimisation of processes and improvement in logistics. For example, batches of profiles of various sizes can more easily be processed economically rather than having to opt for the advantages of scale to save costs. With the reduction of minimum process quantities comes the benefit of speed of production thereby reducing order lead times for customers.
With the advantages of vertical integration mentioned above, a further benefit to the specifier is a reduction in carbon emissions. Reduced handling requirements and carbon miles automatically save energy, but linking the processes can also allow for further reductions to be accommodated when processing in a single location. With less handling and closer communication up and down the supply chain can lead to a more consistent profile quality. A single company that controls the entire process from start to finish has a vested interest in reducing wastage, minimising energy use and providing an optimised system, often bespoke on a project per project basis.
Aluprof, as a vertically integrated systems supplier encompass the development and production of various systems for applications in a wide range of building projects. In the UK & Ireland Aluprof UK offers local support to specifiers and contractors. Aluprof UK place more emphasis on flexibility with their ‘Tailored Solutions’ approach. For example, by having an experienced and extensive design team in Poland, Aluprof UK can quickly create bespoke profiles to suit any project. With an experienced design team in the UK Aluprof will collectively work with architects and fabricators to agree a solution which carries Aluprof’s warranty into the project which is passed onto the client.
Tumblr media
All customers in the UK & Ireland enjoy weekly deliveries direct from Aluprof’s distribution centre based in Poland. Delivering directly to the customer reduces lead times, reduces handling damage and saves carbon, compared to double-handle project-specific material, such as delivering to a UK warehouse and then onto a further delivery vehicle for final delivery. Aluprof also ship orders complete, which enables the fabricator to schedule fabrication from delivery, rather than having to check and wait for all the materials to arrive. Both these approaches to supply, significantly reduce lead times allowing the fabricator to get products installed on site quicker and hopefully help improve cash flow throughout a contract.
Aluprof also recognised that not all fabricators can put on extra shifts to meet busy times as production facilities often utilise a lean working ethic to maintain competitiveness. To assist fabricators, Aluprof introduced a fabrication facility in Poland that can support fabricators in manufacturing some of the supplies at their request. This has proven to be a real benefit to customers who contract and often use this facility to manufacture the more difficult constructions required on a project.
Value Management, which encompasses Value Engineering, looks at every process from order through to completion. To begin with, an overview of the complete project programme is needed, with each of the processes and deadlines for completion itemised. It is at this stage that options are discussed. One of the obvious choices is that of the systems to be used for the windows, doors or facade. As a  high end systems company, Aluprof offer their systems in various designs to meet the exact needs of the building. An example of this can be seen in Aluprof's popular MB-SR50N Curtain Wall system, far from being a single system there are many options to choose from, these include various insulation levels, capping options or structural arrangements, each choice represents a cost or a cost saving. It's a little like specifying options on a new car taking the base model of choice as a starting point.
A further consideration is the optimisation of aluminium profile cutting. To reduce wastage on fabrication, profiles can be extruded to special lengths which offer high levels of cutting optimisation which in turn reduces material waste, which then reduces costs. These are just some of the important issues that are reviewed in the Value Management process which ensures that the completed project performs exactly as specified and perfectly meets with the clients' expectations.
So, from specification through to installation, the Aluprof team in the UK ‘partners’ with specifiers and customers to ensure that system supply is value managed, minimising cost and carbon footprint. Aluprof UK believe this ‘Value Management’ strengthens the relationship with customers who then often request Aluprof to partner them on projects that they have secured.
Aluprof are proud to be one of Europe's largest aluminium systems companies. Specification support is available through the company’s website at aluprof.co.uk, directly from their UK head office in Altrincham or from their London office at the Building Design Centre by phoning +44 (0) 161 941 4005.

Why is it profitable to make aluminium windows ?
Replacing wooden window frames with aluminium ones is the first thing people think about when modernizing their homes. Today it is also the standard in new home construction because aluminium looks beautiful, is weather-resistant - it does not rust, it is durable and safe. Aluminium doors are also very popular in homes and offices and are installed literally everywhere. Now let's try to look at the components of this fast-growing market segment from a business point of view.
Which business model should you choose?
When thinking about how to start this business, you need to define your business model. There are 4 options here:
manufacturing only,
installation only,
manufacturing and installation.
Wholesale production is also possible - manufacturers don't just make custom sizes for individual orders, they can also supply standard sized doors and windows to the retail market.
Produce, install, combine?
At the beginning, many small business owners, especially with little capital, focus on installation only. When they are familiar with the business and know everything about the installation process, they do the following: they begin to advertise their services and, after receiving a request for installation, go to the premises to measure the size of the window or door that they will need to install. Then they take the necessary measurements and find out the requirements (single, double) for the manufacturer in order to get a price offer for the customer. Once the customer accepts the offer, a deposit is provided to continue the work, and then the installer pays the manufacturer for the assembly of the windows. When the finished window is assembled after production, the installer receives the remainder of the payment.
There are also standard-sized windows that can be purchased as a whole and installed, but they are limited to a few sizes and vary mostly in design and quality.
There is another variation on this business model: manufacturers outsource the installation. In this case, manufacturers have premises and production equipment, but they do not want to go into installation processes that require vehicles and personnel, so they outsource this task to other specialists.
By focusing on manufacturing, they can scale their business much faster if they don't do the installation. What's more, they can partner with multiple installers, which means that pricing and workflows can be optimized to get the most out of that business. And at the same time, there is no need to worry about employees leaving for installation and getting stuck in a traffic jam, and that only a certain number of people per day can be physically serviced.
This is another opportunity for you: if you are a competent installer, you can start this business without high capital expenditures by cooperating with several manufacturers at the same time. Yes, you still need skills for proper installation, a vehicle and tools. But such a business model removes all the headache associated with the choice of premises and production equipment, as well as the purchase of enough raw materials for the correct conduct of this business.
What you need to know about production
But if you do decide to start making windows... To start this business, you need machines for cutting and crimping aluminium profiles. These machines range from small portable tools used in small businesses to full-size floor-standing models. Manufacturers buy extruded aluminium from specialized aluminium companies that mass produce for workshops of various sizes. These profiles are sold in standard lengths (for example, 2m or 2.5m or any other length) and then cut and crimped according to the client's requirements. To do this, the profile must be cut at the correct angle.
Production includes storage of profiles and glass, their cutting and subsequent crimping. It takes time. What does it mean? If you have a growing installation business and are already making some good money, you may not necessarily find it more profitable to jump into manufacturing right away, especially if you don't have the additional capital to expand staff and have an adequate supply of raw materials. Manufacturing is a game on a whole new level, and you can get bogged down in a whole bunch of problems compared to simply taking measurements on-site while someone else is engaged in production and assembling. You are only responsible for installing windows and doors throughout the day. Small business owners very often struggle to move from installer to manufacturer, as the price may be too high due to the additional capital requirements and knowledge of capital efficiency over a standard installation.
Some small businesses cut profiles by hand, but common sense dictates that cutting by hand and then sanding the profiles is not a good idea. Don't make life difficult for yourself in vain, move from installation to production only when you have the opportunity and you have fully explored the challenges that open up - take your time.
Consumers rarely understand what exactly is needed to make aluminium windows. This process is complex, high-tech and includes some of the most sophisticated methods and equipment. From the raw aluminium billet to the finished window in a home, many different operations are performed to create it. Let's consider them in more detail below.
Technologies
To create an aluminium window that will decorate a residential or commercial building, several important processes are performed:
- Extrusion of aluminium.
To create each profile, an aluminium billet is heated and placed on an extrusion press (an important piece of equipment and technology in the workshop). Then the profile is passed through a die and it undergoes several checks to ensure that it is straight, strong and of the required quality.
- Profile insulation.
Most door and window profiles are insulated with thermal breaks, making them energy efficient and minimizing heat and cold transfer. Two separate profiles are wound on a special polyamide thermal barrier.
- Application of polyester powder coating.
To create a coloured window, a series of cleaning and pretreatment processes must be followed to prepare the aluminium rods for painting. Then they are coated with powder paint in a special painting booth, and then they are cured in special ovens. It is this sophisticated powder coating process that allows window lifters to have a large number of colours with a long-lasting guarantee.
- Packing stage.
Modern packaging equipment wraps and protects aluminium profiles. They are then placed on special racks for storage or drop shipping.
Aluminium or?
And one more important aspect, which cannot be ignored. Why do people choose aluminium windows over PVC or wood ones? The reasons may be different, but most often it is a combination of price and quality, plus aluminium fits perfectly into a variety of interior types. More information on this matter below.
Aluminium or PVC
Compared to PVCu (also known as uPVC), aluminium windows evidently lose as they cost about 20% more than PVC windows. However, a small increase in the budget can pay off when you take into account the build quality and finish: aluminium does not deform or bend over time. Such windows, as a rule, last longer than plastic ones and it is very easy to take care of them.
Aluminium or wood
Aluminium windows are more affordable than wood windows plus they have a much more modern look and are suitable for most styles compared to wood. With proper care, aluminium will last as long as wood, but without unnecessary procedures that are quite complex for wooden windows.
Aluminium windows are a popular choice for DIY builders or renovators as they add a modern touch to designs and instantly grab attention. Plus, they are very durable and can last up to 40 years, making them an excellent long-term investment. Since the right window style plays a huge role in the perception of a home, designers pay particular attention to considering all available design options when choosing aluminium windows, from glazing options and frame styles to colours and finishes. All this makes the production of aluminium windows very profitable and in-demand today.

Elevating Product Quality with Quality Assurance Plan for Extrusion Company
Extrusion is a manufacturing process that involves shaping materials like Aluminium, Plastic, and Food by pushing them through a die. The History of Aluminium Extrusion
Early reference: https://www.simmal.com/aluminium-services/aluminium-extrusion/
100 years ago, a process called aluminium extrusion was created and since has been applied in lots of different innovative ways. Its most early use was for creating wires and piping to more futuristic applications such as the construction of space stations; aluminium extrusion has a great legacy.
First patented in 1797 for creating lead pipes which were done with manual labour up until the point that hydraulic-powered pressing was introduced in 1820. By the end of the nineteenth century, methods of extrusion were also being utilised for brass and copper alloys, but the actual application of aluminium extrusion followed a distinctive path.
In comparison with other metals like bronze, copper, steel, and iron which gained utilisation for thousands of years prior to the introduction of aluminium, it is considered quite young only gaining elemental metal status in 1807. Being first refined in 1825, it was considered an exclusive metal with more worth than gold. When smelting was invented in the late 1880s this changed as, through the development of commercial production, the metal became affordable for lots of everyday purposes. These processes consisted of casting, rolling, and forging.
A man named Alexander Dick invented the modern hot extrusion process in 1894 which was accessible for application to the majority of non-ferrous alloys. Nowadays, aluminium is known to be the most commonly extruded metal which is open to both cold and hot extrusion processes respectfully. In 1904, North America had its first aluminium extrusion press. This introduction created a sharp rise in leading applications for aluminium, particular during the production of automotive parts.
The demand for aluminium extrusion climbed to a high during the two world wars in which it was utilised in aircraft manufacturing and other military requirements. The fast pace of development within extrusion kept its momentum after the second world war in which it began to stretch into various industries, notably the residential housing section which experienced noticeable growth in the post-war period.
For decades after, the construction and transportation sectors always had been the main benefactors of aluminium extrusion products. Even currently, a lot of extrusion’s usage is in making windows and doors, followed by passenger-friendly vehicles. Other big extrusion products and applications are the construction of bridges and highways. https://www.simmal.com/ are a company that is professional when it comes to anything pertaining to aluminium extrusion, you should check them out.
Although aluminium extrusion has a relatively short history in comparison with other metals, it has seen a lot of development in changing our day-to-day lives. As newer purposes are discovered in the exploration of space and back down on Earth, the extrusion of aluminium will push on being a great aspect of our future. These aspects are emphasised by companies such as https://www.simmal.com/, professionals in the aluminium extrusion trade.

Hydro uses green hydrogen to produce recycled aluminum for the first time in the world
Tumblr media
Hydro plant
The company obtained the product at its plant in Navarra
Hydro[1] has produced the first batch of aluminum recycled with green hydrogen at its plant in Irurtzun (Navarra). The tests known up to now had only been carried out in laboratories, so this is the first time in the world that they have been successfully carried out on an industrial scale, the leading company in the aluminum sector reported this Thursday.
The tests have been carried out by Hydro Havrand[2], a company specialising in green hydrogen[3], and Fives North America Combustion[4], experts in hydrogen burner technology, and will be used at Hydro Extrusion Navarra, the extrusion plant located in Irurtzun[5], where will be manufactured the first extruded aluminum profiles (slow cook type) that have used green hydrogen in the recycling process. “We are excited about carrying out these tests, which show Hydro's commitment to the process of decarbonising the industry. By removing CO2 emissions from the energy source, we will be able to produce recycled aluminum from carbon-free post-consumer scrap,” said Paul Warton, Executive Vice President of Hydro Extrusion, in a statement.
Alternatives
Green hydrogen is one of the most promising alternatives to replace fossil fuels and thus reduce carbon emissions. The results obtained by Hydro open new perspectives on the use of green hydrogen instead of natural gas, especially in those industries that require high temperatures in their production process, such as cement or glass, adds the company.
“This project is part of the development of commercial solutions for the substitution of fossil fuels, and shows that hydrogen can be used for the production of aluminum. Green hydrogen[6]  can eliminate emissions that are difficult to reduce in processes where electricity is not an alternative, both in the aluminum industry and in other heavy industries," said Per Christian Eriksen, head of Hydro Havrand.
Hydro Extrusion[7] is dedicated to supplying solutions in extruded aluminum and recycling in Spain and Portugal. As a whole, it has more than 500 employees and an annual production of 60,000 tons of extruded products and 50,000 tons of recycled aluminum.

The benefits of aluminium extrusion
Aluminum extrusion is a highly versatile and economical process for shaping metal into a range of shapes and sizes. This is achieved by pressing heated aluminium billets through a pre-determined die to produce a long, continuous, uniform shape that can then be cut to any desired length. This process offers a number of advantages over other forms of metal production.
The primary benefit of aluminium extrusion is the ability to create complex shapes without additional machining or assembly processes. This makes it ideal for producing complex components that would otherwise require several components to be welded together. Aluminum extrusion also provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it suitable for applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics where weight reduction is a priority.
Moreover, the use of aluminium extrusion also allows for efficient production with minimal waste and cost. By controlling the pressure and temperature of the extrusion process, it is possible to achieve precise, repeatable results with very little scrap material. This ensures that plastic bottle manufacturers in KSA can count on consistent quality products with a minimum of downtime due to defective parts.
The process of aluminium extrusion
Aluminum extrusion is a complex process of shaping metal alloys into desired shapes and sizes. It involves pushing the heated metal through a die in order to form the desired product. The die is a precision-crafted piece of machinery that shapes the aluminium according to the desired design. The result is a product that is durable, efficient, and can be used for various applications.
The first step in the extrusion process is heating the aluminium to the desired temperature. This temperature must be high enough so that the metal is malleable enough to pass through the die, yet low enough so that it does not melt or become too soft.
Once the metal has been heated to the desired temperature, it is pushed through the die with a press or extruder. This machine exerts a tremendous amount of force on the metal, forcing it through the die and forming the desired shape. As the aluminium passes through the die, it cools and hardens into its final shape.
Plastic bottle manufacturers in KSA also employ an extrusion process. In this case, a plastic resin is melted and then forced through a die to create bottles, jars, and other containers. The process is similar to aluminium extrusion but uses different materials. The plastic resin is heated and then forced through a die, where it cools and hardens into its final shape.
The benefits of plastic bottle manufacturing in KSA
Plastic bottle manufacturers in KSA are renowned for their high-quality products. With the use of sophisticated production techniques and innovative materials, these manufacturers create durable, long-lasting products that can be used for a wide range of applications. The benefits of working with them are
Reduced cost: Plastic bottles are significantly cheaper to manufacture than metal or glass bottles, making them an attractive option for businesses that are looking to reduce costs.
Eco-friendly: As plastic bottles are made from recyclable materials, using them helps reduce environmental waste and conserve natural resources.
Durability: Plastic bottles are highly durable and can withstand being dropped or knocked around without breaking. This makes them ideal for packaging products that are prone to being handled roughly.
Variety: Plastic bottle manufacturers offer an extensive range of sizes and shapes, allowing businesses to find the perfect product to suit their needs.
Customization: Many plastic bottle manufacturers offer custom printing services, allowing businesses to add logos or other branding elements to their bottles for added visibility and brand recognition.
