The Druze tell Smotrich off in occupied Majdal Shams
The visit of Israeli ministers to the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan has angered the residents, according to the Israeli media. Channel 13 reported angry protesters shouted at Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, asking him to leave. “Get out of here, criminal, we don’t want you in the Golan,” one person said, according to the broadcaster.

Fionna and Cake really just went “What if we make Marceline and Bubblegum mortal enemies in a post apocalypse where they constantly try to kill eachother while bantering in the most ridiculously horny way possible?”
And then also said “What if they were men in a normal human world but even gayer, with one as an autistic baker twink and the other as a hot punk rebel? And then they have a plot about both of them sacrificing major opportunities to make the other happy before culminating in them rejecting the shallow capitalist world around them to just appreciate a life they can share and then they kiss as the elevator doors close?”
And then they ALSO said, “What if those were the same episode and we were constantly cutting between the stories at their most dramatic points?”
You see, this is how you do multiversal story telling: Literally just write fan fiction.

dan and phil VIOLENTLY oscillate between making me want to giggle squeal kick my feet and making me want to punch them. the one certainty in life is that every cute moment of them smiling or experiencing genuine joy or trying to make each other laugh or domesticity will immediately be followed by phil buttoning up dan’s ass flap on camera or “change me? 🥺👉👈” or phil biting dan’s fucking tail after wrapping it with gold leaf right in front of their mothers and me and the children and god and the whole internet

It’s crazy to see how people interpret dean and sam’s brother dynamic as “wincest”
Some people have clearly never had a parentified older sibling. Then you take into account the degree of trauma that they have been through and continue to go through. Their codependency stems from their childhood and current traumas, their mental states due to that, the way they grew up with their father obsessing over the importance of “family is everything,” and the deep parentification of Dean, AKA Dean having to be a CHILD while raising his little brother, and taking care of his insane father. It’s not “wincest”/incestuous in anyway, it’s called trauma, parentification and general unstable family dynamics.
I think that a lot of “wincest” shippers don’t actually see what trauma can do to a person and their dynamics, specifically the people that endured that trauma with you. Dean, who was the older one that had to in HIS WORDS “be the mother, father, and brother” of his younger brother since the age of !4! is obviously going to be extremely protective/codependant of/with Sam, both because of the parentification and the words of his father carved into his very being. As for Sam, having Dean be all those things for him, means that more than anything, Dean is it for him because Dean RAISED HIM. Which is why, for so many reasons, what John said to Dean (killing Sam), was one of the most cruel things he could have done. John if not straight out, on some level knows that Dean and Sam will forever have a different dynamic because Dean raised Sam, ergo, Dean being more of a Parent to Sam than he ever was.
That’s not to say I think Dean was a “perfect parent” to Sam when he was raising him. No one can be “perfect” especially not a teenager raising his baby brother. What it means is that Dean had to sacrifice his childhood and grow up quickly for Sam to be not only Alive, but also so that Sam could -have- a childhood. All of this while Dean was still actively growing up, enduring his father, hunting, and having to come to terms with monsters. But he couldn’t allow himself to mess up, and going back to the idea of “perfect parenting” we see that no, he in fact was never “perfect” specifically when he leaves so that he can play games, and he sees that Sam’s safety is (extremely unfairly) placed on his shoulders. All of this, yet again along side with never having a stable home, having an unreliable source of income, and having to basically learn how to be an adult at 7, was the start of their dynamic.
As for Sam, we see that he got to play on soccer teams, go to school, and exist (while still having to endure all of the nightmares that is his homelife) outside of the hunting. Whereas Dean was the one who gave him this chance. This is not to say that Sam should ever feel guilt over this, or that Dean needed to do this. This is to show just how different their sibling relationship is, due to the trauma.
Dean treats Sam like a brother many times, but underneath it (or on top) you will always see that he is a parent to him more than anything.
“Wincest” is talking about their “strange/codependant relationship” in a romantic or purely sexual manner. This in itself just shows how many people don’t understand what it means to either have a kid or be a parentified older sibling. (I personally am not a parentified older sibling, but my sister who practically raised me is) and because of MY family dynamic I can speak from experience (definitely not to Dean and Sam’s extent) of having a parentified older sibling, and how that differs from regular sibling relationships.
Ok, this was a ramble, but as a whole “wincest” is extremely disturbing to me as a whole. And I don’t know what the rules are on this specific topic, so Idk how much I should say. But I definitely don’t condone inc*st to any degree, but to each their own ig.
Alright, I have SO much more to say on this topic. But I will hold back for now, just because I am sleepy.
XOXO

I have a lot of respect towards CC fWhip, I do... but it's increasingly bothering me how kind of. Poorly done SOS was (it's as good as over to me since theres only one official event left and all my guys are dead) and how I would not remember it for anything were it not for the maid trauma and the pillager suicide bombing. It's a cool gimmick that could make for something really neat in concept, I would have really loved to see more tension between people and them trying to earn favor in order to be revived, like the way Jimmy had an entire tierlist for who he would revive based on how they treated him, or the very brief "revival blacklist" that ended up not mattering at all... because 1600% fate coin inflation hit instead in an effort to retain any stakes at all. Anyone who died was just revived by whoever was conveniently nearby with any coins to contribute and the revival cost was just pumped up and up retroactively
The events that I enjoyed the most were the player-run ones too... I'm sorry but pillagers were never ever going to have even a sliver of a chance of winning that last official event with how easy it was for villagers to deduce everything. Again not a jab at CC fWhip cause running an SMP must be maddd work. Just wallowing a bit in the lost potential (but it's super awesome if people still enjoyed the series of course!!! I did too just not as much as I wish I could have)

There is some salt below this line, proceed with caution
Understand the disappointment in the seeming lack of decisions brought across to Veilguard, I really do. (Although I am not holding my breath it's the only ones, but only some related to the Inquisitor.)
But the wild dogpile on "the only romance that matters from Inquisition is Solavellan" narrative being passed around. I'm sorry, what? Other than Blackwall, who was done extremely dirty in almost all endings, pretty much every single romance option had resolution in Trespasser. One way or another, there was some blurb in how things ended for your relationship.
You know who hasn't had a resolution? For a decade?

perhaps this is in bad faith, but don't you think it's plausible that ms appleton was just a government food scientist who was sent to japan as sort of U.S. ambassador and given a generic, americanized name? we know that resources were scarce during the war and that many changes had to be made, or simply were made to cut costs, in the production of lots of things at the time. it just makes sense when you break it down that traditional shoyu is time and labour intensive to make but improves the taste of even outright bad dishes. at a time when people were forced to eat whatever food was available to them demand was likely very high to the point of unreasonably outweighing supply. either officials at kikkoman reached out to american food scientists for a solution or they offered one up themselves, given the fact that food science was undergoing a huge international renaissance led by the americans during the 30s, 40s and 50s. americans have a tendency to synthesize food. they also tend to feel strongly about imposing their culture on other countries. it seems more to me like this is a story about the american government taking extra steps to obfuscate the story of how they semi-successfully tried to be the final nail in the coffin of widespread, traditional shoyu production. less like some kind of yakuza conspiracy somehow centred on one woman. just the perspective of someone who's felt compelled to do their own research. it's my opinion that the way you're presenting your findings leaves massive gaps as well as leaps to get over them. i can't speak for the things you haven't shared publicly, obviously, but it feels a lot like you're dancing around the point. good luck to you in your research, regardless of my own feelings.
I think I agree that you're either arguing in bad faith or simply aren't really paying attention to a wider picture here. It's common knowledge that postwar economics in Japan were heavily influenced and remain to this day connected to organized crime and the Yakuza as an old tool of the imperial/noble order. We also know for a fact that the CIA worked with the yakuza during American occupation in order to manipulate political culture and economic structures.
It's also a common conspiracy in Japanese circles (or at least so it appears, and I want to be clear I am not voicing this as more than preexisting theory/belief, so I will not directly source to give complete credibility; consider this as context for why I might be interested in investigating further, just in case) that Empress Michiko and the Seifun Milling Company had close under-the-table connections with America, which would further influence the traditional shoyu brewing culture.
Like, I feel as though if you seem to be aware enough that America's treatment of Japan was one of extreme hostility and cruelty with little-to-no care about the nation or its people, solely using it as a means to enforce American/Western ideals and principles onto an unwilling populace and using violence and illegal organized crime syndicates to fulfill those goals...then why are you acting as though it's sus of me to look at a single woman in 1947 having this much power/control over Japanese-American relations when you have said yourself that shoyu is the single most important ingredient for Japanese food of all time, and only moreso during war rations/scarcity times?
