Alien Friendship AU: Mina Ashido, a fan of everything alien and sci-fi, meets a real life alien, Midoriya Izuku.
Midoriya was sent to earth as part of an anthropology mission. He was supposed to learn about earth culture and human behavior and report back. However, not long after arriving on earth, he lost contact with the mothership, leaving him stranded on earth with only his own dropship and no way of finding his way home.
The reason that Midoriya was chosen for this mission is because of his shapeshifting powers, as they let him seamlessly integrate with the local culture of wherever he's sent. The advent of Quirks makes this even easier for him.
Ashido tried to call herself Alien Queen, she is absolutely a colossal sci-fi fan. What she didn't expect was to see some lights in the distance at Takoba Beach and investigate to find a real spaceship. Or the startled alien who can't be much older than her.
Strictly speaking Midoriya is supposed to wipe her memories of him and go into hiding--he was on Takoba to board his dropship and take it deep below the ocean where people wouldn't see it--but the mission is already so FUBAR that when he's discovered, Midoriya just kinda breaks down crying.
Midoriya and Ashido's combined Friend On Sight powers means that following procedure was pretty much doomed to failure from the beginning anyway. It's her idea to enroll at UA, which Midoriya realizes could actually get him connections who might be able to help him find the mothership as well as potentially paving the way for first contact through his popularity.
+1. Nedzu is aware of aliens, but is not an alien himself. Nor does he immediately know what Midoriya is.
+2. All For One is an alien who was exiled and figured that if he couldn't become a demon emperor in space, he could conquer this backwater planet. His brother kind of objected to that, so he's currently 0 for 2 on that. And yes, that does mean all OFA users are technically part alien.
+3. Midoriya's 'real' appearance is reptilian, with three eyes, a curled tail, very long rabbit-like ears, and unguligrade legs ending in points.

kinda fun thinking about the potential little language/culture differences between pre-scratch earth, post-scratch earth, and earth-c, especially in online queer communities like the ones we all engage in today. in the real world the terms agender and gendervoid describe gender labels that are related but invoke different feelings & can describe different experiences, and depending on the person can mean the same thing or close to the same thing, or mean completely separate things ENTIRELY (such is the beauty of language and carving out new patterns in it)
but basically- i think because the populace of earth-c are very much aware of their gods, that they also most likely have an insanely rich mythology and histories and folklore for them, especially based around their gods' aspects. what im saying is that on earth-c its kind of a fun idea that if a pre/post-scratch earthling said smth like 'i'm agender', an earth-c-ling wouldnt understand the term until you described it, to which they could say 'oh! you're talking abt gendervoid! like the rogue of void!!'. and so gendervoid would have the exact same history as our term, agender

Extraterrestrial AU:
Midoriya: *reads up on Japanese Quirk Laws*
Midoriya: “What the fuck? This is like making it illegal to use your eyes without a license!”
Ashido: “Oh, come on! It’s not that ba-”
Midoriya: *shoves a book in her face and points to a section*
Ashido: *reads a few lines*
Ashido: “Wow. I didn’t even know some of those things were illegal… wait, does my sweat being more acidic than normal count?”
Midoriya: “It might.”
Ashido: “Holy shit. Me sweating is technically illegal.”
Midoriya is furious

Alien Angie could be a alien herpetologist, studying alien amphibians and reptiles from across the galaxy.
See now, that was what I originally planned for Angie in the Accidental Abduction AU. Being an alien herpetologist. But she's a herpetologist in so many AUs, I was thinking it might be fun to mix it up a bit, y'know?
But I am interested in the idea of her being some sort of exobiologist, with the "exo-" part due to learning about Earth things from Stan.

On Tempest Star, the Wrasse Sirens have the unique ability to freely change their legs into tails, thus having a more amphibious way of life. However, how they manage to completely change the skeletal structure of their lower half is a mystery to astrobiologists.
Perhaps there are some things science can't answer.

hi this is the overdue outer!ibvs, paraphrased from my old conversations on discord like. years ago.
@over-dvse @ups3tti
they don't live in space. they do live in a very small rural town designed to minimise light pollution so you can see the stars really well at night tho
my notes (from 2019) say they're homeschooled and play baseball. why?
OBVIOUSLY they all have space aesthetics and wear cool starry outfits. that was a given.
maybe instead of the supernatural edward is obsessed with the extraterrestrial
this is the fluff au. everyone is happy here. except isaac but he's working on it.
