Exploring Colombia’s Lost City
Last week I signed up for something that, for a very long time, I never thought I would be physically capable of completing – my first multi-day trek.
It's been a little over a year since I discovered my passion for hiking in Southern China, after unknowingly committing myself to an overnight trek through Tiger Leaping Gorge. At the time, I remember feeling anxious that I would be slower than everyone else or that my joints would lock-up or that I would need to be rescued somehow – but none of those things happened. In fact, it turned out that I was far more capable than I realised. Since that adventure in October of 2015 I haven't really stopped – in 2016 I completed roughly 25 hikes throughout 4 continents. Some only took me an hour or so, while others saw me covering 19 kilometres in a single day. Still, I had yet to face my fears and attempt a multi-day trek.
Long before travelling to Colombia I remember reading about the Lost City Teyuna, more famously known as "Ciudad Perdida" – the remains of an ancient city located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range and founded by the Tayrona people around 800 AD (predating Machu Picchu by roughly 650 years).
Unlike Machu Picchu, the site is accessible solely by foot – a 47 kilometre round trip through the Sierra Nevada mountain range – 1,200 metres above sea level.
My adventure began in Santa Marta on a sunny Tuesday morning between Boxing Day & New Years Eve. As you might imagine, this is a popular time of year for people to visit Ciudad Perdida. I travelled with one of the more reputable companies, Expotur, which had so many people sign-up that they divided us into 4 groups. My group consisted of 15 hikers – a German couple, 2 trilingual Italian women, an Irish lady and her low-key racist husband, 6 Indian men who had been studying in the USA and Steve & Sarah – a brother and sister from Seattle who I am now lucky to call my friends. Accompanying us were the amazing Jhon Jairo & Juan Diego – our guide and translator (respectively).
Our journey began with a bumpy 2 hour van ride to the town of El Mamey (known more colloquially as "Macheté"). It was an uncomfortable start to our adventure and I spent a good hour of that drive sitting on what I later realised was a bag of watermelons. In El Mamey we had lunch before finally hitting the trail.
I don't want to bore you with all the details of the trek itself, but here's a summary of what we experienced over those 4 days...
A lot of uphill hiking, a lot of downhill hiking, getting caught in the rain, an excessive amount of mud, multiple river crossings, sleeping in hammocks, bathing under waterfalls, swimming in the Buritaca River, lots of pineapple, toucans and howler monkeys, learning about the semi-nomadic Kogui & Wiwa tribes that live in the area and hanging out with the indigenous kids and finally, climbing the 1,200 stone steps to Ciudad Perdida, where we explored a handful of the 169 terraces that are carved into the mountainside.
It was an unforgettable experience and one that I can proudly say I beasted. I walked away with an enormous sense of accomplishment, 2 busted knees (I fell down...) and a backpack that smelt worse than an abattoir – but it was 100% worth it.

Ok, so Miss Maggnifica 2018… Where do I start?
It was a very very long day yesterday and today everything hurts, from my toes to my head.
I didn’t win anything obviously. I expected that but it does sting a little that even in a contest designed specifically for people like me I still fall short. Well, I do it for the fun anyway.
But yeah, no win. Not first, not maid of honor, not congeniality, not photogenic. None of the prizes. Although I did deserve Congeniality at least because none of those girls knew how to be on stage, I taught all of them, I talked to all of them, I helped all of them with makeup, made them laugh, distributed water, and many other things… They even called me a muse just for being able to handle huge heels and for teaching them stage tricks and calming them. But the vote was done too early in the day, most girls didn’t know anyone well enough so they just voted for whom they knew at the time. Nobody’s fault really and the winner was indeed a wonderful person.
And I’m a little surprised about miss photogenic since the official photographers were the judges and they were the ones that pushed me into the final and kept saying I was the only one relaxed, experienced and interesting in my poses but I still didn’t win that. I'm not saying I deserved to win, I'm just saying that the winner was so much the opposite of me that it's surprising. Winner short and very cute and cheerful girl though.
Did give the best speech for the project though, if I do say so myself, so I’m pleased with that. But then again it’s not hard when you’re the only one there used to the stage. Still, the two first winners did had big groups of friends and family cheering on them and making noise so that “popularity” might have helped them out usually does, but idk. Nonetheless, the first place was well deserved, she had excellent poise and character and stood out brightly, it was a good choice.
Yet, as support goes, I had nobody at all except the other contestants (all really sweet, made friends) so I just tried to have fun, nothing else. I’m not blaming anyone for not supporting me though! Some had to work, my mom isn’t even here and my sister just… Couldn’t come.
What else? Hm…. Makeup artist botched my makeup, I there was a great artist there but I ended up with the rookie, she couldn’t work well with my eyes and dress color (I warned her hooded eyes are harder than average, even I have a hard time doing my own makeup but the organization wanted us to be pampered by the artists), anyway I had to hastily try to change it into something decent but it ended up heavy. Oh well, not the first time.
Got a pair of earrings for free, got a decent goodie bag, lots of sweets (sugar dick, cavacas/beijinhos, pastéis de bordallo), a bottle of cherry liquor (Ginjinha), a t-shirt, flowers, a handmade ceramic rose, magnets, clothing and spa discounts (that I’ll probably never be able to use, sadly), etc.
We spent the morning touring cock city (Caldas da Rainha), a place known for its colorful creative pottery, socially eccentric statues, sulfur hotsprings, and LOTS AND LOTS of comical penis imagery. I’m not even kidding. The morning was spent taking photos and seeing the sights, they offered us a really nice lunch with live music, and luckily it wasn’t overly sunny and there was wind to cool the day a bit. It was an ok day, tiresome because I didn’t sleep much (an hour) and painful because of I was sabotaged by my baby box (needed three painkillers at once) and I was lonely af because I was the only one without supporters but it was still a nice day… Also, all the clothes and bikini we wore we’re from the main sponsor’s store (a project designed specifically for plus-size women only) and my evening dress was a 160€ blue dress tailored to my size, they let me have it for 45€ instead that I can pay whenever I actually have money so that was sweet (discussion because I’m super broke right now). But I admit it still makes me worry, I always feel guilty when I try to treat myself or just get something pretty for no other reason than I like it.
Did get a lot of tattoo compliments though, that was neat. And made friends, turns out since of these girls are actually for places really close to members of my family.
The amount of public support was staggering though! The event too place at ExpoTur, a food and culture festival (wish I had photos), the red carpet stage was decked very professionally, the organization was very good, we had many more sponsors than expected, the whole thing was covered by a TV channel and hosted by a radio station, live dancers, live music (we finished off by dancing to a cover of Mika’s “Big Girls”), plus it was packed with audience supporters, no judgement or hate in a contest aimed at fat girls, which was refreshing.
I don’t have much in terms of photos because I didn’t have anyone to photograph me personally but as soon as I have the coverage photos and videos and the professional photographers photos I’ll share. I will share photos of the goodies soon though.
That’s pretty much all the is to it, I think. People have been asking so I thought making a post was easier.

13 of the best things to do in Colombia Editor’s Note — CNN Travel series often carry sponsorship originating from the countries and regions we profile. However, CNN retains full editorial control over all of its reports. Read the policy. (CNN) — Tourism to Colombia has grown exponentially in recent years, with thousands more people flocking to the South American destination after decades of it being practically off limits thanks to a long, drawn-out civil war. However, the number of tourists to Colombia is still relatively small compared with its more visited neighbors Peru and Ecuador. And in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic brought international tourism to a halt around the globe. International travelers are currently allowed into Colombia with a negative Covid-19 test result. More information is available on Colombia’s tourism site. There are still plenty of under-explored natural treasures to discover, from swimming among mangroves by starlight to spotting rare birds in the remote mountains. Colombians also know how to indulge, and a trip during normal times wouldn’t be complete without heading to the best food, drink and dancing spots. Here are 13 of the best things to do in Colombia when you travel here: Coffee plantations Colombia is famed for its coffee. Although in past years the country — which is the world’s third largest producer of coffee — used to export all the good stuff, recently Colombians have started keeping the best for themselves. There’s no better way to trace the legacy of Colombian coffee than by visiting a plantation. Travelers can hitch a ride in a traditional “Willy” car, an American car used in World War II that’s now beloved by Colombians to cart things around. From Salento, a small town deep in the country’s Coffee Triangle, five kilometers of dusty tracks head up to Finca El Ocaso, where coffee experts will take visitors through the process from seed to coffee grinding, culminating in a lesson on how to make the perfect cup of coffee. Don’t forget to buy a bag to take home. Horse riding at Cafetal de la Trinidad Riding is part of the allure at Cafetal de la Trinidad, a former coffee plantation. Courtesy Cafetal de la Trinidad Founded in 1906 and once a family-run coffee plantation, Cafetal de la Trinidad was abandoned for years due to occupation by the FARC guerrillas, who made it too dangerous for the family to return home. Yet in recent years, the family’s youngest son Alejandro and his partner Anna have lovingly restored the finca — or farm — to its full glory and are now opening it to visitors. Just two hours out of Bogotá but worlds apart, visitors can make the most of the remote location, fresh air and breathtaking scenery by saddling up on one of the farm’s horses and trekking across the stunning countryside. Guests can even take a picnic and toast the beautiful sunset over the mountains as their horses patiently graze in the fields. Swimming with bioluminescent plankton If the crystal clear ocean wasn’t beautiful enough already, visitors to Isla Múcura can take a nighttime dip among the coastal mangroves and watch as the pitch black water lights up with millions of blue-green plankton. The tiny organisms produce light using a chemical called luciferin, and glow when they are moved. So it’s possible to kick back and watch the stars while floating on the Caribbean Sea, or you can dip your head below the water and feel as if you’re a character in “Avatar.” The ecologically-conscious Punta Faro hotel ferries guests to the mangroves via private boat, and returns them in time for a candlelit dinner. Bandeja Paisa in Medellín There is no meal more Colombian than the Bandeja Paisa: hearty, meaty and eye-poppingly huge. And there is no better place to eat Bandeja Paisa than in Medellín, the capital of Antioquia and home of the paisa — the name for inhabitants of the Antioquia, Risaralda and Quindío regions. The dish is usually served on an oval platter and consists of red beans cooked with pork, rice, carne molida — ground meat — chicharrón, fried egg, plantain, chorizo, arepa, hogao — a thick tomato salsa — black pudding and avocado. At El Rancherito on Calle 18 in Medellín diners can gorge themselves for about $10. Scuba diving in Cartagena Although Cartagena is best known for its old, walled city, winding cobbled streets and colorful balconies, the city also has a wealth of underwater treasures. Boasting the Rosario Islands, a natural reserve comprised of 43 tropical islands, an underwater museum, coral reefs and shipwrecks, this stretch of the Caribbean Sea has plenty to discover. Visitors can learn to dive at Paraiso Dive, a diving school located on Tierra Bomba island, just a short boat ride away from Cartagena. Swim in turquoise waters among shallow reefs, deep walls and sunken art, and learn about the company’s efforts to help protect the surrounding reefs. Birdwatching in Serranía del Perijá Colombia is home to more than 1,900 bird species — the highest number in the world. The Perijá mountain range, which straddles the border of Venezuela and Colombia, is one of the best places to go birdwatching and is home to several endangered species that cannot be found anywhere else. After years of being occupied by guerillas, the area has been opening up to visitors, with keen birders heading to Chamicero del Perijá Reserve. Nestled in the mountains, among Andean forests and Colombia’s unique páramo system, an ecoystem only found in the northern Andes, the reserve is a two hour-long drive from the nearest village and has one of the best sunsets in the country. (Reservations are currently not listed online for this reserve, so be sure to inquire with [email protected] before planning your trip.) Salsa dancing in Cali Cali is the Colombian capital of salsa. Luis Robayo/AFP/Getty Images Cali is the capital of salsa, where dancers take to the floor as early as the afternoon. Although the dance has its origins among the Cuban population in New York City in the mid 1900s, it wasn’t long before salsa reached Colombia. Cali decided to produce its own style of salsa, and the city has never looked back. There are two types of dancers: the old school purists, who stick to the original footwork, and the younger crowd, who like to dance with flair and gymnastic-style lifts. Sondeluz Academy, one of the most renowned salsa studios in Cali, specializes in one-on-one lessons. After mastering the basics and when it’s safe to gather in crowds again, visitors can swing by Zaperoco, a famous salsa club normally packed with talented dancers and a live band on Thursday nights. Whale watching Every year between June and October, locals along the Colombian Pacific coast of Nuquí ready themselves to watch humpback whales migrate past their shores. Located in the Gulf of Tribugá in the Chocó department, Nuquí is the perfect place to catch a glimpse of the mothers and their newborn calves, thanks to its warm waters, free of strong current, and little passing boat traffic. El Cantil Ecolodge offers a whale watching package, taking its guests out to the bay in fiberglass boats, where the whales can be seen from around 200 meters away. The ecolodge is conscious about adhering to international practices and sticking to a respectful distance, although the whales often approach the boats on their own. Hunting for a glimpse of ‘pink’ dolphins Pink dolphins are often thought of as the stuff of myths, and although they’re still a scientific enigma, they can be found in the Amazon River. Guests staying at Calanoa Jungle Lodge, an eco-resort nestled in the Amazon Rainforest overlooking the great river, can go out in a private speedboat to try and catch a glimpse of the “botos,” which can be pink or gray in color. They are the subjects of numerous legends — such as that they turn into handsome men at night to seduce local women (a tale used to cover up unwanted pregnancies). An amazing restaurant The 2.76 square mile restaurant boasts five kitchens, 11 dining areas, two dance floors and normally packs in thousands of people a night. Be sure to check on Covid safety measures before booking during the pandemic. Although it’s a 45-minute drive outside of the capital, it is the place to go in Bogotá and has fed the likes of the president, Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers with its 64-page menu. But the food, featuring traditional Colombian dishes such as chicharrón and patacón to steak and empanadas is just the half of it. After dinner, everyone takes to the dance floor, clutching aguardiente — a traditional Colombian anise liquor — and salsas the night away. Lost City trekking La Ciudad Perdida is Colombia’s answer to Machu Picchu. Shutterstock The Lost City is Colombia’s answer to Machu Picchu — just cheaper with fewer tourists. It’s also believed to have been founded some 650 years before Machu Picchu. An intense, two-and-a-half day trek will see you traverse waterfalls, natural pools and rivers on your way to the sacred place of the indigenous Tayrona tribes. Led by indigenous Kogui guides, Colombian travel agency Expotur offers a four-day package, taking hikers through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta jungle, and ascending 1,200 steps on the third day to reach the Ciudad Perdida. The beautiful ruins are full of relics and ancient carvings, and visitors can be regaled with ancestral tales before heading back to start their descent. Stargazing in Tatacoa Tatacoa may look like a desert, but it’s in fact an ancient dry tropical forest. The environmental wonder sees astronomers from all over the world flock to the red Mars-esque landscapes to stargaze. Thanks to its unique position, constellations of both the northern and southern hemispheres can be viewed, making for an awe-inspiring experience. In fact, the stars are so captivating, one Colombian astronomer, Javier Fernando Rua Restrepo, camped out for two years before he found a place to live permanently. And he loved it so much he stayed and opened his own observatory, where he hosts a star party every July. Crab-swerving in Providencia For a few weeks every year, Providencia, an island closer to Nicaragua than Colombia, is occupied by the Colombian army, who fly in to protect the thousands of black crabs migrating to the sea. Roads are closed and locals adopt a practice known as “crab-swerving” to avoid hitting the crustaceans, who are protected by local laws and environmental policies. The crabs are a local delicacy, and provide many islanders with their sole income. Due to rising tourism in neighboring San Andres, crab numbers have declined, and so the army was brought in to ensure the migrating crabs had a safe passage down to the sea to lay their eggs. And if you miss migration season — when fishing, consuming and selling the crabs is banned — you’ll get a chance to taste one and see what all the fuss is about.
HE IS SO OVERWHELMED ITS ALMOST FUNNY, Kamala will catch him just watching on his personal tik tok account (no one besides his friends knows exist) just laughing at all the memes and trends theyve done with his songs
Ans he'll randomly send tik toks to Kamala like LOOK HOW GOOD THIS IS OMG
Hes not entirely comfortable with so much expoture but is SO THANKFUL to his fans
On his main tik tok / socual medias he tries to reply and shout out to things he finds extremly cool
(Like someone did a burn and traitor mashup and he cried and sent it through the groupchat like I CRIED TO BURN WHILE IN THE PRIME OF THE BREAKUP HOW DID THEY KNOW-)
He repost like truly bringing out my theater kid <3 (because yes Alastairs a theater kid in all my aus)
Hes overwhelmed, in the best way. When he starts writting love songs it kinda just SETS OFF THE ENTIRE FANDOM
Like ummm WHAT
ALASTAIR CARSTAIRS WRITTING LOVE SONGS??????????
There are so many tweets that are just @a.carstairs blink twice if you need help cause he released a pretty cute love song
And they love it they do but WhAt?
WhO MadE ThIs Kid FalL In LoVe AgAin?
After they do reveal it THERES SO MANY MEMES OF "some day I'll be everything to somebody else" and then there a picture from either of their instagrams thats just thomastair being happy and in love with this
Tumblr media
Also did I mention that Alastair wrote your favorite crime with Thomas guitar?
They break up very late in night, because its the only moment Charles lets Alastair see him. And hes just a mess and its midnight and he doesnt want to be alone so he texts Thomas like "are you awake" to see if he can distract himself
They had been getting closer and almost texted eschother daily, and he really just wanted to talk to anyone
Thomas wss surprisingly awake, and text him back like "yeah im awake"
Alastair asks him to tell him about his day (literally he just wants to ignore reality)
And Thomas does accordingly
Tells him about this fight he had with his spanish professor because he told Thomas he was speaking Spanish wrong and Thomas almost lost it because he was just speaking how his father taught him, but apperantly the profesor with his infinite knowledge of one summer in madrid knew more than him but whatever
And Alastair is relieved to just hear him rant about annoying profesors and how much hw he has and Thomas asks him what hes doing
And then his reolies get stiffer and Thomas SENSES smths wrong and offers if he wants to come over
And inspite of himself he doesnt wanna be alone
So he comes and they sit in silence a while
Thomas makes tea and just tells him like "you dont need to talk about it, but you look shaken'
So they just sit there, drinking tea and its silent but comfortable silence and Alastair sees Thomas guitar like
"You know I learned how to play when I was younger"
They talk a bit about music and then Thomas goes "I have a 6am class so Im gonna hit the hay, but you can stay if you want I'll sleep in the couch"
Before Alastair can complain he takes a blanket and goes sleep in a beaten down Couch he has
And in that night with Thomas guitar he had given him he drafts Favorite crime
Are we all in agreement that Good 4 U is Alastair in COI? Because if not, we should be
We ARE ALL in agreement on that
Did I ever tell you about the first time I listened to it??? I legit almost wrote an entire Alastair pop star au just to have him write and sing thi song????
DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND I WASTED AN ENTIRE DAY DRAFTING THIS??
But pls "Maybe im too emotional, yeah apathy is like a wound in salt, maybe I'm too emotional, well maybe you never cared at all"
I had a scene where it was cheesy 2000 disney movie style
Where it was a direct dig at Charles whos exact words when they broke up cause Alsstair was tired of being treated like shit was "youre too emotional"
And like hes singing it on stage and hes all bitter and sarcastic looking straight at Charles
Why is Charles there? Idk
Idc he is and Alastairs literally looking at him STRAIGHT in his eye

Misunderstandings
Hi, I'm Quillan and I write shitty Analogical fanfiction at 1 in the morning. Note: this hasn't even been read through, there will be spelling mistakes. Note (2): google translate is rubbish. Warnings: self hate, kinda angsty, these bloody idiots pining. --------------------------------------------- The first time it happened, I was in the kitchen in the morning. Half asleep, I really couldn't do much or see much, me having forgotten to put in my contacts before going downstairs. It was all I could do to not bump into every wall/thing/door I came across. Putting the kettle on, I got out my favourite mug, ignoring the greatings of Morality and Princey as they came and went. I could barely handle them awake, let alone half dead and grumpy, so I usually ignored them. I honestly don't know why they bothered. They hate me anyway. I mean, Logan is okay sometimes. And he seems to like me. I thought so anyway. I could be wrong. I probably was wrong. Shaking the thought from my head, I sat down and was about to take a sip. Then of course, Logic walked in said "Te amo" and then teleported back out. Shit. My shoulders fell. Logic only did that when he was angry or upset with someone. I've only ever heard him insult Princey, but I guess he thought he should pick it up with the rest of us, confirm my worries. I had thought he was my friend. Seems I was wrong. Looking down at my tea, I decided to just leave it there and go up to my room. I didn't care that I had just woken up, I felt like shit and well, sleeping is better than crying or wallowing in self pity all day. If Logic hated me, fine. It was inevitable anyway. He couldn't have waited for me to ask him out, could he? God, I wished I had looked up what he had said that first time. --------------------------------------------- The second time was two weeks later, I had been avoiding him relentlessly. I had been avoiding everyone, actually. It was good; Thomas looked a lot happier at least. Nobody even noticed. Contrary to popular belief, we did need to eat, we needed energy just as much as normal humans. Sometimes it got out of hand though. Princey ate a whole bag of sweets once- the creative ambush gave us all headaches for weeks. So, of course, I went down to the kitchen to get some rations. I had memorised everyones sleep sqeduals years ago, just from shere expoture- I knew when was safe. I honestly hadn't known why I was hiding. I was just... hiding is really the only way to put it. I heard my name, a heard something in a different language, and so Logic hates me. He doesn't use random bits of languages on the fly, he only does it when he really hates someone. I even used my head to figure that out. Honestly, I think I was just scared he might say it to my face in english and say 100% he hated me. Why he didn't just do that originally, I didn't know. At the moment I had just gotten some biscuits from the cupboard, Logic appeared in the doorway again saying "Je t'aime, Anxiety," and then procceded to walk out. I sighed. God knows what that meant, probably something worse than the other one. He hated me a lot. It was obvious. I just accepted it as truth. Of course, I was being reminded of it 24/7 by my shitty brain. I felt like such a fucking idiot, I couldn't even take an insult without it ruining my life. Tears weld up in my eyes and I hastily teleported back to my room. It was only a second before I realised my phone and headphones were still in the kitchen. I started fully crying then. I needed the distraction, I was sick of sleep at that point, I needed something! I continued crying, the idea of going and getting them already dismissed. A soft knock came from the door. A shrill "go away!" later, another knock did not come and I heard footsteps walking away. I sighed in relief. Tears still streaming, I opened my door a bit, just to make sure whichever one had knocked had gone away. Lying on the floor infront of my door, lay my phone and my headphones, neatly tied around my phone to not cause knots. Not really thinking, I put my headphones in and picked my playlist from my phone. I was really an idiot, wasn't I? ---------------------------------------------- The third and last time was a week later- someone finally noticed I wasn't there! "Has anyone seen Anxiety lately?" Thomas had asked after he had finished a video with the others. All of them stopped in their tracks. "Wait, what?" Roman exclaimed. "Has nobody seen him, I just thought he was avoiding me as usual!" "It's about time you guys noticed." I said, walking into the common room, to the exclaims of Princey and Thomas and the hug of Morality. Logic hung back. "I missed you so much, Kiddo!" Morality shouted, excited, hugging him even tighter. "Anxiety! Where the hell have you been? I've made so many videos and you haven't appeared once. Not that I'm complaining about the lack of nervousness, but I was worried about you!" Thomas said, hugging me as well. "Ti amo, ma tu mi hai odio ora," Logic said, before teleporting out. "What the hell?" "He just does that sometimes, I'm not sure why he can't just say "I hate you" to my face. It would probably cause me less pain." I replied, trying to fight away tears. Three times a charm, as they say. The three others looked at each other and then at me, confused. What was there to be confused about, Logic hated me, was avoiding me and generally just is being more embarrising than funny at the moment. "When did the language changes start?" Princey asked. "A few weeks back." "And how long have you been hiding in your room?" "Since the first time." Nodding, Princey replied, serious "You are wrong about what he just said, Anxiety... Do you want to know what he just said? 'I love you, but you hate me.' He thinks you hate him because you have been avoiding him." Was this some kind of joke??? "Ha, funny, Princey, good joke. What did he actually say?" Princey showed me his phone. He had typed in the words Logic had said, which were in Italian. It said what Princey had said. I screwed up big time. I was such an idiot. Pulling out my phone, I brought up google translate and put in the words I remembered from last time and the time before. 'I love you', Spanish and 'I love you', French. I was such a dickhead to him. I was ignoring, ignoring everyobe, because I didn't want to make things worse, when I could have been making things better. I sprang up, not even noticing the worried looks I got from the others, making my way to Logic's room. Knocking on his door, I fought back tears, panicking. If he hadn't hated me before, he would hate me now. I ignored him for weeks, we had just started becoming really good friends and I threw it away with my over thinking and self hatred. Honestly though, why would anyone love me anyway, I'm just one of those people. Nobody loves me, people barely even like me. When I got no answer, I knocked again and said, "Logic, can I come in?" After a second, I added a "please" softly to the end of the question. The lock snapped and the door opened. Logic was a mess. His glasses esque, his hair a mess, tear track down his cheeks. I cracked. I ran and hugged him and I said "sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry" so many times it was like I was a broken record. He looked so shocked and confused. God, it must have been so much worse for him, I'm used to my emotions, Logic is... Logic. Fighting back tears, I said, "I am so sorry. I have been a dick. I thought you were insulting me, because the only time you have ever talked in different languages is to Princey when you are arguing and I was really sad and embarassed you know? I just..." "Shhhhh" Logic said, a weak smile on his face. "You don't need to explain yourself. I was being really creepy and I was to scared to admit my feelings because obviously you don't even like me, let alone love me...." I pulled him down then, kissing him. "Let's just both admit, we are both idiots and never speak of this again?" "Satisfactory." We didn't come out for a few hours after.
