hello vee.
@/twogallonhats on twitter made this iceberg, and now i am subjecting you to this. Explain to the best of your knowledge, good luck.
Tumblr media
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh okay sure
idk why rhyme anima is listed tbh it’s just a zany anime version of hypmic but that very well may be the reason lol like it gave us a man by the name of tom whisper weathercock lol
there’s always a prolific push for your fav to win the drb lol. iirc during the championship round in the 1st drb there was a fan?? fans??? who gave money to some guy with a following to post a video of him asking everyone to vote for mtc lol. jp fans for the second got together and made eng/kor/ch instructions on how to vote in the vr battles it’s a time can’t wait for that to kick off next year 😬
arb is technically not canon and therefore ooc lol
idk what hypmic tictok sounds mean. i can tell you of a few times hypmic was trending on tiktok tho lol
idk if they were even a soundcloud rapper, but some soundcloud rapper fell in love with hypmic and decided to make ichiro his oc/persona and put himself on a team with jyushi and samatoki and they were california division lol
back in 2018???? hypmic posted a christmas video except it was just champagne gold and base hifumi.png in a santa hat slid across the screen truly graphic design is hypmic’s passion lol
i mean there was a brief time there were rp accounts on twt so ig that’s what it
kimura loves black people so much and wants to be black so bad he felt the need to bl@ckface for one of his album drops. fandom asked he take down the posts, he didn’t, fans called him out on it, he blocked them
around the time when there was rumblings that gbr was exiting uhhhhh the eu i think, a dice cosplayer had a video of themselves popping mentos in a coke bottle go viral. someone in british politics used it as a metaphor for whatever stance they had on brexit lol
lol i’m lumping hypstage and hypnama together since i don’t think there’s a real reason they’re listed other than occasionally being points of discussion
hifumi was the original tbh creature
asmr tubers vibe with hypmic characters being their yandere bfs
idk if it’s more than memeing on hitoya but that hitoya card in the pic was clowned on so hard LOL
i couldn’t tell you a specific instance of it but hypmic jank includes frequent misspellings lol
lol i also don’t know if there’s actual controversy behind oridivis besides them getting thanos snapped
*rio voice* curry friday and the mtc seiyuu used to celebrate it lol
there was a collab with some instant curry company (probably called curry meshi lol) and they had the leaders rap a song for it. the songs’ are fun and what’s even funnier is that the song has the leaders sharing this curry and kuukou technically didn’t eat the curry bc it was all gone by the time the cup reached him (and jakurai ate most of it LOL)
i have no fcking clue what weenor busujima is lol
the fact hyprice is a thing is a damn good reason to be here lol. ogs know a hypmic series producer made the joke in 2018 during a hypnama that spawned the concept years later lmao
there was a typo on kuukou’s introductory bio that said he was 68cm LOL
akuma no hana is indeed a song about sex idk what else to tell ya lol
throwback to the hypmic bathtubs they had a live for crazy ass hypmic merch moments lol
the hangout streams are located in this building called mixalive. instead tagging that building’s twt for one of their events, hypnosis flava iirc, they mistakenly tagged a porn twt lol
there was an art trend a few years ago where artists drew their bde faves (and even real people got in on the trend) balancing a shampoo bottle on their big 🍆. ichiro was unfortunately the face of the trend
stage hitoya went viral for that pic used in the iceberg and i had to see randos calling him a two face ass character ONLY HYPMICS ARE ALLOWED TO BULLY HITOYA DAMN YOU
the seiyuu are always getting up to shit backstage lmao tradition is ishiya-san and amasaki-san prowling up on the mtc seiyuu menacingly lmao
if there’s drama or anything of relevance outside of yes stream discords exist, ion know about it lol
a few songs are inspired by/interpolate from other songs. this a normal thing in the music industry (let’s get physical by olivia newton john and physical by dua lipa comes to mind) but hypmic caught a lot of flack for ‘stealing’ from black artists. shinogi dead pools is kendrick lamar’s drank swimming pools bar for bar lol but again, it’s very normal lol the whole kendrick vs drake rap battle that happened this year literally was them using each other’s sound to diss them
some european(?) indie film had an actor wearing ichiro’s jacket
there was a brief trend in jp where they made snow sculptures of their characters as means of attractions and hypmic jumped in on it. it produced the ugliest kuukou known to man he was so unflatteringly scrunckly i loved him LOL
????? bat seiyuu family???? i’m sure what i have in mind is not what they have in mind lol but i mean yeah it’s a running joke that the bat seiyuu consider each other family lol shoutout to sakakihara-san randomly calling hayama-san his ‘onii-chan’ and both hayama-san and sakakihara-san bullying tf outta takeuchi-san by calling him ‘papa’ lol
ariana grande is based about samatoki and there’s proof lol
hypmic vs crsm rap battle was REAL and fumiya wanted to EAT THEM
kamio-san has taken to slapping kuroda-san’s ass and kuroda-san has taken to trying to murder him for it 😌
quite recently lol mtr’s album art was leaked ahead of the hangout stream in a post meant to advertise the fan meeting lol
british dice was a theory i didn’t pay attention to bc i kinda thought just the concept was dumb *wheeze* i think it had something to do with a mistranslation about dice’s father
the rest of that tier i have no fcking clue about lol
in a camera transition during the 9th live, someone’s desktop background was on screen instead of the yknow, livestreaming concert lmao
they got some ddb members to make choreography to move your body til you die!!! i tried i didn’t think it was too bad but the pace of the dance needed to be slowed down eventually lol
if this isn’t poking fun at sensei saying men should automatically know how to rap idk what that is lol
if there’s a trip the mtc seiyuu have taken that stands out from the others, i don’t know about it lol
the hypmic cafe that’s going on rn have these stickers??? standees??? for sale and someone stole all of samatoki’s LOL

Paparazzi, Celebrity Deals, and David Duchovny
Credit to: ibble dibble's top-tier videos explaining the inner workings of upper echelon society. Clips taken from her video here.
Paparazzi is part and parcel with celebrity culture. Celebrities themselves likely have to deal with harassment, boundary stomping, and any and all pap craziness as regularly as their juice cleanse bowel movements.
However. All celebrities have contractual obligations with at least one paparazzi company, picking and choosing which locations and events they want leaked to the press; and when' and how "edited" the final results will appear.
It's not so much manipulation (though it can be) as strategy: they want to live their lives on their own terms but also know the health of their projects and "brand" depends on a certain degree of public exposure and opinion. Therefore, celebrities in New York-- as mentioned in the video-- and, more relevant to this post, California exist mostly unmolested, surfacing for promotional circuits or other public and social events. Paps who harass, stalk, or follow a celebrity, unwanted, are generally bottom feeders who are too foolish or greedy to let a quick opportunity pass in exchange for, perhaps, a deal with that celebrity's team later down the line.
In David Duchovny's case, his brother summed up the situation quite succinctly here: "We'll go out to dinner, and out from the weeds pops up some paparazzi guy shooting away, y'know. Dave'll be like-- he'll know his name, he'll go, 'Look, Warren, I thought we talked about this: you can shoot me surfing, you can shoot me on the beach, which I let you do, but I'm here with my wife-- you said you wouldn't.' 'Oh, I gotta make a living, gotta make a living!'-- and then they, like, disappear like little rodents under the bush...."
Therein, Danny delineated between cooperative pap shots and vulturistic opportunism-- two very different beasts. (Beast One keeps their distance, takes their shots, and splits the proceeds between their company and the celebrity. Beast Two tails after and mouth breathes in the celebrity's vicinity, opening themselves up to harassment charges or future opportunity loss. And if Beast Two is making money off of informants, the celebrity will be able to quickly narrow down who in their close circle has tipped off the paps.)
It's part of the business; and probably a contributing factor to David expressing "shame" or embarrassment over being an actor: his work is an artistic expression of himself, yes; but as an actor turned director and author and musician, he won't be able to escape "selling" himself, to an extent, to stay relevant (a frustration he's echoed since the early days.)
This post wasn't written out of judgment, just exploration. After all, even girl scouts have to make numbers.

So about this series and localization;
Ok, to start this off let me say I do not work in localization. It's not my department. I -do- work in video game development, but in production management and quality. That said, I work -with- loc teams, know people outside of my workplace that do loc, and have mad respect for the localization profession within the industry.
And, this is all a personal perspective again! I mean no ill intent in what I'm about to say. It's merely observational, and I could have an incorrect understanding and I own up to that in the circumstances!
This is probably going to get a little long, and it's a bit of a nuanced conversation. I appreciate everyone who reads to the end though!
Well, where to begin?
The 90s and early 2000s produced media in which culturally relevant aspects were largely changed to suit the audience taking in the media....but in some cases, that didn't hit the mark at all.
Are you familiar with jelly donuts? A long time example in infamy, Brock Pokemon's Jelly Donuts were a product of a time when localization efforts in western media were wholly focused on providing a digestible media experience to a western - rather, American-focused - audience. (Another example that was shown on the big screen was the original Digimon Movie!)
Tumblr media
"But wait! Isn't the point of localization to make things relatable to the target audience?!"
Yyyyes! But there's an asterisk here.
In this case, breaking it down:
Bad localization = "Jelly Donuts", and the art remains unchanged.
Good localization = "rice balls", and the art remains unchanged.
Good localization = "Jelly Donuts", and the post processing changes the art to jelly donuts.
Bad localization in this example strips the intent of the media by pigeonholing a westernized regurgitation without respect to the origin and attempting to call it by another name -- erasing the cultural significance that it provides. Let me explain; A food item that may be a staple in many American (specifically Asian-American) households for ages... Do those households call them jelly donuts? Of course not!
90s and early 2000s media was largely at fault of bad localization with a movement based around the idea that a western audience needed those westernized concepts for the audience to be able to fully relate and immerse themselves in what they were digesting.
In essence, it was easier at the time for someone depicted drinking ramune to actually be "drinking a Coke" in dialogue, because everyone knows coke is a soda/fizzy drink. (That's only an example, and I hope it's understandable!)
On the other hand, -Good- localization either provides an equally significant replacement (such as replacing the art with actual jelly donuts) or calling things what they are outright as they represent a culture portrayed.
To reiterate, good localization does justice to the original tone, atmosphere and intent by either substituting an audience society-based equivalent that makes sense contextually OR by telling the audience exactly what is going on in the media's world context using words that can explain it to the audience while preserving that cultural significance.
"OP I'm not seeing how this relates to Bokumono..."
Well, this series was created in 1996, and localization began in 1996-7. And unfortunately, California-based Natsume Inc. was not exempt from those weird "sanitize it for the American audience" views. In their attempt to "make everyone happy...", there were many things that contributed to a less than ideal localization per game from Natsume.
For a long time, Natsume localization was done largely in part through an outsource localization company called Pole to Win. If you're in the light novel and otome venn diagram of fandoms, you'll know that Pole to Win is pretty damn infamous for its bad loc, cheaper labor based on underpaid and over exploited workers (largely based in SEA), and the heavy usage of and reliance on Machine Translation. Some loc work on games leading up to 2012 was done in-house, but a large reason why we have so many Natsumeisms is due to lack of quality and care in the localization process.
Alongside poor localization efforts and the drive to sanitize content for an American audience, there was extra effort in making the content "family friendly" by removing anything that was "out of the norm" for the time. I don't think I need to explain what that means, but it's what led to things like the removal of the Best Friends system (girl x girl marriage) in DS Cute and Julius in Animal Parade being "a man of average height" in the English dialogue. This family friendly movement applied to other media as well in the same time period, but for the sake of being on topic it largely applied to Natsume's approach in localizing the series.
"So what was lost?"
Well, in addition to what I just said above...
Names which were meant to reflect specific cultures referenced in the games based off of existing world cultures were changed.
For example, a Chinese-based character in Sunshine Islands; English Players know her as Lily. Her true name is スイレン Suiren. (Suiren is the name of a famous Chinese hero of legend, as well as the name of a species of Water Lily!) The name was derived literally, instead of staying as Suiren to reflect her heritage; Lily was the "easier" and "more digestible" translation.
I recently posted translations of Grand Bazaar characters with their true names. Grand Bazaar is VERY largely Danish, with Nordic/Baltic influence from Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, and some bits of Mexico, Greece, Austria-Hungary, and France sprinkled in.
As a result, the names given to characters were from those particular regions. Ivan's true name is Juris (the J is Germanic, pronounced with a Y like You) for instance. The average American isn't going to meet someone called Juris often, however, so the name was changed to "fit".
I'm largely of the opinion that names are sacred and innate parts of the Character Core. A name was given to them for a reason, and it would be like going up to Sasuke from Naruto/Boruto and saying "hey man, I'm just going to call you Steve, ok? Cool."
Since we have changed Localization companies to XSEED, Marvelous' English subsidiary, the quality and care put into the localization has drastically improved.
Names are (usually!) 1:1 counterparts - as in romanized - or their very closest equivalents.
Examples being: Cam from Natsume's Tale of Two Towns loc, who is actually カミル and was localized properly in Story of Seasons 3DS with his true name as Kamill / Dudley from the Friends of Mineral Town remake - whose original name is ダッド (Dadd) and was Doug in the Natsume Loc.
Dialogue throughout the game now reflects original tones and intent with some embellished flair here in there, but never to remove - only to add!
I'm not going to get into a conversation about censors and ESRB ratings at this time (Blue Bar to Cafe type of example), but I'm so glad that we have reached a point where we no longer have totally misrepresented cultural aspects in the games.

Laucy 2.O
Hiiii babies and dear Anons 👋🏼🤗. I'm back with a new post. And I know, I know, I apologize again for my disappearance but I haven't been well for 3 months and also have been in the hospital again for a week 😭. I don't want to bore you with my health, but I just ask you to be patient again for future posts 😅🙏🏼.
I was answering the asks in my mail when I realized that 2 of them in particular were asking the same thing. I started writing and the more I did, the more I realized how long it was getting and I therefore decided to split it off from the Q&A post I started and which you guys will have, and make it a separate one on today's topic which you can see from the title.
Without further ado, let's go straight to the answers of those 2 asks. Enjoy 🙃.
Tumblr media
HIII to you too, my dear 👋🏼😄. You're the purple heart Anon 🙃. That's how I always mentioned you to my gf, and the fact that you always remembered to say hi to me because you know it's important to me, always distinguished you from others especially because you do it in caps every time and you always make me smile/laugh because I know it's a dig for all those Anons who don't 🤣. Of course I remember you, as you can see 🤗!
1) I'm getting better. Very slowly, but I'm getting better. I still have a lot of medical checks to do but then I hope to finish once and for all because I'm honestly tired of hospital, doctors, and being sick in general 😩. Thank you for your concern and I really hope you're well and healthy 🥰.
2) Of course I can expose them 😉. This post is dedicated to that 😜.
And yeah, I hope they don't steal again because for real then I'd stop doing big analysis like I did in the past for Laucy, for the AMA's 2018, etc. I just want people to respect my decision to not want my stuff off Tumblr and ask me first if they really wanna post anything of mine outside of here, so that we can arrange what’s good for me for them to post and what’s not. That's all.
P.S. you made me laugh with the caps part which I guess was shouted 🤣🤣.
3) Thank you for always being so kind to me, my dear 💜 Anon. I really mean it 🤗. Have a beautiful day too 🙃. My gf says hi too 😄. I love you too and take care 😘.
Tumblr media
Hello to you too, dear Anon 👋🏼😄. Greetings from my gf too 🙃.
It is a pain, and not because you asked, but because of the PR. And not even for the PR per se, but just because it's always the same shit we've seen (and will continue to see) over and over again but with different people. But anyway, let's get into it.
Oh and, small disclaimer. Sasha's pronouns are ze/her/they and I used she/her when I wrote this. I'm explaining this to you guys just to clarify that I didn't misgender her, okay? Good 😇.
Let's start with the new and improved version of Laucy. Welcome to Laucy 2.O, my dear Anon and my dear 💜 Anon, and any other of you babies who are reading.
Sasha Mallory, born on August 6, 1988 (age 35), professional dancer, and runner-up on season 8 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2011 when she was 23. She's worked in many dance companies, music videos, tours of singers such as Madonna, Adam Lambert, and Katy Perry, and done much more. Along with her family, she owns and operates the Mallory Academy of Dance (in Bakersfield California) in which she obviously also teaches.
In my opinion, chosen precisely because of her sexuality (as Laur herself said when talking about the Valentine's Day post in the People article: “Queer representation is important”) and her profession because, unlike Laur's other queer friends who were already her friends anyway and someone new was needed in her life, Sasha's in the industry and travels a lot precisely for the same reason. She ‘understands’ that life. And she certainly benefits from the money made from the contract and, more importantly, the visibility in the industry for her work.
Having explained the basics, let's get down to the facts and the not-so-subtle stages:
The beginning
-  Prelude. For those who don't know, Prelude premiered with a special global livestream via Moment House on October 14 and 15, 2021, but was officially released on November 5, 2021. It took them 6 days to make/film it. On September 11, 2021, Laur received the videos that she included by turning them almost into a documentary (with the help of Matthew Siskin of course, the co-director and co-editor along with Lo), and they started promoting the project on September 14, 2021. Before all this, however, there were the organization and the rehearsals to bring the project to life.
Lauren and Sasha met in mid-August 2021 (roughly the 13th) thanks to Coral Dolphin, the choreographer who took care of Prelude (and the tour).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To confirm the timeline, these are Laur's very first likes on their profiles (Coral Dolphin, José Gabriel Baez, Sasha, and Triana Steward), except for Aahkilah Cornelius, who didn't even have IG at the time, and Jesse Johnson who didn't post anything in general (not even anything personal) from the time they met (not even Prelude) until 2022 (personal stuff).
- From November 20 to December 1, 2021, Tour: An Evening with Lauren Jauregui. With Laur, Coral direction and choreography, and Sasha and José dancers.
The hang out no longer just professional
- First speculations created on March 12, 2022, after the insta-stories and that post (posted two days later) with the alpacas, with contribution of the tweet to pretend to mislead, but actually start inserting the seed 🧫 into people's heads 🧠:
Tumblr media
A couple of appearances together with other friends: 1) at Banks' concert on Apr 6, 2022, along with *cough* coincidentally and not to publicize two things at the same time *cough*  the announcement of Laur's participation in The Serpentina Tour, 2) at Coachella on Apr 17, 2022, *cough* she didn't go there with Lo and her friends, she was there only because she had to perform/dance with Channel Tres with whom she was booked from Mar 18, 2022, to Dec 31, 2022 *cough*.
- Sasha danced with her and José again (for the last time so far) at the Al Sol Blume Festival on April 30, 2022 (the 3 of them rehearsed from the 27th to the 29th).
Another appearance together on a boat with all of Laur's friends on May 14, 2022.
- Rumors reinforced by the trip to Cuba for Laur's birthday in which I'll underline, there were other people, friends, with them and her brother. *let's water the seed 💧*
Tumblr media
We're just friends, people, isn't it obvious? *Please don't let it be obvious*
Tumblr media
+ denial/fake protection
- Sasha went on the New York (July 27, 2022) and Denver (Aug 2, 2022) tour dates before continuing with her gig for the Channel Tres tour, and on Aug 1st, Laur posted that tweet just to add fuel to the fire. *let's keep watering 💧*
Tumblr media
Lo wished her a happy birthday with a post on Aug 6, 2022.
- On November 29, 2022, Sasha posted a TikTok with the “Reasons Why I'm SINGLE” filter and on December 3, 2022, she replied to someone by saying that she and Lauren were just friends. Both then deleted. Did you have any doubts about it? 😑
In the meantime tho, other appearances together: on Sept 17, 2022, (Aliyah Niambi's insta-story) to celebrate an Aja Monet working achievement, on Oct 30, 2022, for Halloween, on Oct 31, 2022, for the Paramore concert, and on Dec 8, 2022, for Channel Tres tour date in L.A. where Ty was too. *👏🏼🙌🏼 a reunion with 2 PRs, yeeeey 🥳🤣🤣🤣*
“She like who she like”/The confirmation
Tumblr media
- Snow Tha Product EVERYNIGHTNIGHTS PODCAST live streamed on January 12, 2023, in which Laur publicly said for the first time that she was into a woman, specifying “a femme, a non-binary” and choking and freaking out more and more in explaining because she didn't know whether she was defining her the correct way or not. Sasha changed her bio to the one she still has now immediately after: * we're almost there 💧*
Tumblr media
- On January 18, 2023, there was the video on Lauren's Patreon Zoom as they played Uno to confirm even more who she was talking to Snow about, plus the fans' backlash and Laur's obvious reaction to 100% confirm: *has germinated 🌱*
Tumblr media
- The UnitedMasters GRAMMY party (Feb 3, 2023) before the final push, let's call it the oh-so-unpredictable boom of the definitive confirmation of the Valentine's Day post (Feb 14, 2023).
The explanation
- In the Zach Sang Show interview released on March 31, 2023, she said that they'd been together for a year, that there had been attraction from the first moment they danced Don't Wanna Say, and that however, neither of them told the other anything for a while; Sasha because Lauren was her boss and she wanted to be respectful and Laur because she didn’t think it was mutual. She explained that she was the one who made the first move by inviting her over to her house to hang out. They cooked together and only after Sasha left very early, Lo confessed everything to her via text to which Sasha replied that she felt the same way. Laur specified that it happened the night before she left to go back to Miami because she still lived there and still had 3 months of lease for the house.
End of the important stuff (for now)
Now let's talk logic, dates, and bullshit.
Let's break down piece by piece the already checked and verified facts I've listed to you, with what she said on the Zach Sang Show, and let's see what's true and what's not.
1) Taking into consideration the date I believe to be correct, Lauren and Sasha met on August 13, 2021. Attraction from the first moment they danced Don’t Wanna Say: “The chemistry was just crazy. I was like, what the fuck is this? I feel so attracted to you”.
In addition to the promo for Prelude, there was no interaction or public appearance together until the tour.
2) They went on tour from November 20 until December 1, 2021. “And then it was like super low-key. We both had like a crush on each other but didn't say anything about it for a minute”, Sasha because Lauren was her boss and she wanted to be respectful, and Laur because she didn't think it was mutual.
After the tour, again no public appearances together until March 12, 2022 (alpacas). This, this one right here, is the timespan that interests us the most.
3) The first move and the confession: “I invited her to come over to hang out with me and we made dinner together and stuff. And it was a date in my head, but she didn't know it was a date. She thought we were hanging out just casually” - small pause to look at Chantal (her manager Chantal Felice) as she did other times during bullshit - “So she ended up leaving hella early” blah, blah, blah, blah, blah “I sent her this like, really long cute ass message and she was like: what?”
4) The explanation of when it happened: “Actually, that happened right before I left back to Miami. So we were here in L.A. and it was right before I left back to Miami because I was living in Miami at the time. So I had like 3 months still of my lease in Miami. So it was like the day before I left, was when I texted her and was like ‘this is how I feel’. And she was like ‘what the fuck? I feel the same way’ and I was like ‘what?’. So yeah, we had like 3 months in between. - Now we see each other when we can”.
Okay, that day? That dinner ‘they had’ the night before going back to Miami? It never happened. And those 3 months that she wanted to make believe were in Miami? They're not correct.
No surprise there since we know it's all made-up narrative for the PR, but do you wanna know how I know? I know because unfortunately for both Camren, fans save every little thing posted on the internet that concerns them and their lives. I checked. Laur's last night in L.A. was December 18, 2021, and who did she spend it with? WITH CORAL! They had dinner IN A RESTAURANT before going to The Peppermint Club (West Hollywood). The next day (the 19th), Lo was in Miami and returned to Los Angeles on February 5, 2022.
Here you can see the screenshots I took of Laur's insta-stories. One from her last day in Miami on February 4, 2022, with Mateo, the son of her friend Alexa Ferrer, and another one from when she returned to Los Angeles on February 5, 2022, which can be compared with the post Lo published on February 25, 2022, in which she was with her friend Britt (Brittany Martinez-Hewitt):
Tumblr media
Here, however, Coral's insta-story (Dec 18) and the screenshot I took from one of Laur's insta-stories (Dec 19), specifically from the one where she was playing with Cleo:
Tumblr media
You can also compare Coral's insta-story with the post Laur published on December 21, 2021. From slides 6, 7, and 10, you can very well see both how Lo's outfit matches and how it was the same night.
You can also see from Coral's insta-story how it was night outside. It's clearly visible from the glass window behind Laur. And now tell me, is there anything about this picture that makes you think it was Lauren's house or otherwise a house in general? And does it look like Sasha was there? Maybe hidden under the small table that was clearly only for two people and that makes you understand that no one else was with them? 🤣🤣🤣 Sasha wasn't even there that night! They didn't see each other at all! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 So what dinner had and cooked at your house the night before you went to Miami are we talking about, Laur? What in the PR and the alternative universe are you talking about? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣
Debunked the dinner, let's move on to the 3 months.
The timespan between December 18, 2021 (last day in L.A.) and February 5, 2022 (return to L.A.) is 1 month and 18 days to be exact. I'm gonna abound by saying they were almost 2 months if I have to, but it's certainly not 3. They don't match the idea that by “I was living in Miami at the time. So I had like 3 months still of my lease in Miami - So yeah, we had like 3 months in between”, she meant to imply that they didn't see each other because she stayed in Miami for 3 months. Yeah, she still had 3 months of lease for the house, but that doesn't mean she stayed there for real as I've shown you. And it can't even be that she was talking about another time period because she's never stayed in Miami for 3 months since she met Sasha in August of 2021.
On the other hand, the timespan between December 18, 2021 (last day in L.A.) and March 12, 2022 (alpacas) is 2 months and 22 days. I can again abound by saying that they were almost 3 months, but only to let Lo get away with it. This does match the “we had like 3 months in between”, but it also proves another lie at the same time.
Remember how I also wrote in the initial list that Sasha was booked to perform with Channel Tres from March 18, 2022, to December 31, 2022? Well, she hadn't left yet for the first date, which was Lollapalooza in Chile (March 18, 2022). So, if Laur was back in town on February 5, 2022, what exactly was the reason they didn't see each other for precisely 1 month and seven days (February 5 to March 12) before that PUBLIC hang-out with Lauren's friends (alpacas)?
If December 18, 2021 (last day in L.A.) and March 12, 2022 (alpacas) match the almost 3 months said on the Zach Sang Show, what exactly was the reason for not seeing each other before the 12th (alpacas)? After not seeing each other since that oh-so-real dinner before Laur returned to Miami, and especially after they confessed to liking each other via texts, do they really want me to believe they waited another month since Lauren was back in town to see each other? And in the company of other people on top of that? Come on now 🤣🤣🤣. After all that waiting, they would've seen each other the moment Laur set foot back in town if it had been a real relationship.
Debunked even the 3 months, let's move on to the part of the interview in which she said they'd been together for a year.
As I said before, the Zach Sang Show interview was released on March 31, 2023. It was filmed definitely a few days prior or in any case in the same month since it was primarily done for the promo of Trust Issues (which was released on the same day as the interview) and In Between. From that, since to Zach's question “How long have you been together?” she answered “We've been together for like a year” and it was March 2023, we can establish that by March 2022 they were already together officially as a couple. Or rather, already since before February 2022 given what Laur said about the Valentine's Day post in the interview with People (May 26, 2023): “We'd been together for a year by that point”.
Neither of them has yet specified what the official date is, but still based on the date of Lo's last day in L.A. because of the so-real ‘dinner and text’ story, we can assume that December 18, 2021, is the specific date on which they officially got together. Unless we'll have anniversary posts in the future.
So, if they've already been together since December 18, 2021, then why instigate/tease Snow during her podcast about the fact that she missed the opportunity to kiss her in the Piña video? Why push her so hard and on several occasions for other things as well?
***I'd like to clarify anyway that I've taken Mila completely out of the equation also because this acting as single people of theirs is something that has been going on for them basically since the X-Factor days (they did, they do, and they have to keep doing it for appearances, or simply when they're mad at each other 😅). All this is just me proving and exposing Laucy 2.O. Okay, let's move on.***
And speaking of Piña, on September 19, 2022, Lauren and Snow did the TikTok live to promote the song by also saying that they would've made the video as soon as they were both in town (L.A.). Which happened in October. On October 5, 2022, @jakehenrythgc posted a picture together with Lo on the set of the video (in the La Cita Bar: bar/live music venue/nightclub in Downtown L.A.). Laur posted an insta-story while watching the full video for the first time on October 26, 2022, and on December 19, 2022, the video was released.
Tumblr media
So if the video was shot on October 5 when Snow missed the opportunity to kiss her, shouldn't that date be calculated in that year with Sasha? Was it crossed off in the calendar and no one told me? If Laur had actually been in a relationship for a year, she wouldn't have insisted so much on the missed opportunity to be kissed by another person even if only professionally. Although we could see in that very podcast how important 'professionally' is to Lauren. So important, she didn't even remember doing it with a guy in the Always Love video 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣.
But back to being serious. If she'd actually been in a relationship for a year, she never would've pressed and pushed Snow's buttons in that way on different things. But no, she instigated/teased her a lot of times by even saying other things outside of Snow specifically, like the fact that she likes to provoke in general even straight girls: “I love making straight girls question who they are” – “I'm just trying to see if you're really as straight as you think you are”.
And with those 2 sentences, I want to remind you all of something she said in Becky G's podcast (the very first reason why I'm here and you guys know me https://fa-by.tumblr.com/post/648191757219250176/there-is-a-light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel) and how these 2 sentences are yet another proof of how much bullshit she had to say that day to hide her truth:
Wasn't she the one who had an ‘issue flirting with girls’ and who felt ‘disgustingly uncomfortable’ because she felt ‘like a predator’, ‘the aggressor’, ‘the one who was like the masculine energy in the scenario’, because she was ‘always the one turning her’? Wasn't she the one who didn't want to be able to ‘potentially put off that kind of vibe onto someone or invade or like anything like that’? So, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? And even with straight girls no less 🤦🏻‍♀️. Please, Lauren, explain yourself? Explain to the audience 🤣. Justify the bullshit you had to say about Camila by succeeding in making a lot of CS leave. Justify the bullshit you had to say in comparison with the truth and reality you said NOW.
All the chickens come home to roost, my friends. Always 🙌🏼. It doesn't matter if years go by, but the truth always comes out 🔥.
Anyway, back to Laucy 2.O. If Lauren had actually been in a relationship for a year, she wouldn't have behaved that way with another person. She wouldn't have done any of that. She wouldn't have behaved the way an available person would. This even proves by itself that the relationship is fake. The fact that she did it during a live podcast and didn't give a damn about all the fans present, proves it even more. Tsk-tsk. In a relationship for a year, HA! Don't make me laugh 😏.
Not to mention the fact that Sasha was (and maybe still is) with Baylie Olsen. Now the engagement you mentioned in the ask, there's no trace of anything like that at all as far as I know, dear Anon. It'll be part of the various bullshit that CS and other ‘fans’ made up 🤷🏻‍♀️ as usual 🙄. What I do know and can prove is the fact that Sasha and Baylie met in early May 2019 during rehearsals for the Eurovision performance which then took place on May 18, 2019, with Madonna.
Tumblr media
They were both backup dancers throughout Madonna's Madame X era including the Madame X Tour which lasted from September 12, 2019, to March 4, 2020. And as you can see here:
Tumblr media
They started dating loooong before August 2021, which is when Lauren and Sasha met, and that they continued to do so at least publicly until April 2022, which is even after the hang-out with the alpacas (March 14, 2022).
Tumblr media
And these are not even all the pictures they commented on and liked on each other 🤣. There are many more that you can very well go see for yourselves on both of their profiles. So “My first Valentine” my ass, Sasha 🤣. Oh and by the way, Laur was obviously aware and supportive of their relationship:
Tumblr media
Going back to talking about the Valentine's Day post instead: “I kinda did it very whimsically. I didn't even tell her I was gonna post it” (Zach Sang Show) – “On Valentine's Day, I did it very impulsively. I didn't even talk with them about it first” (People). Oh yeah sure, because it's totally normal to not talk to your partner about something as unimportant as making it official to the world BEFORE actually doing it, right?
Miss I prefer to live my life off of social media and keep my private life private, Miss confidentiality, Miss privacy in all respects suddenly didn't care. Miss I keep having to pretend that I was outed in 2016 and not that it was all arranged, suddenly just didn't care about doing something like that? Seriously? Suuuure. Sure, sure, sure, Jan, right. No, for real, who believes that? Who can believe that that behavior could have been normal and not something planned/arranged?
Even this alone, does nothing but prove 2 things (again, back to my very first post and Becky G's podcast and all that fake situation they created that I talked about on several occasions): 1) It reconfirms for the umpteenth time the story of the fake coming out arm-in-arm with the PR with Lucrezia um sorry, Lucy. 2) This PR with Sasha.
Why? Because someone who claims to have been haunted by being outed when she wasn't ready, DOESN'T BEHAVE THAT WAY! Someone who claims to have been traumatized by that whole experience, someone who's not an ordinary person but a public figure and therefore double haunt and trauma, DOESN'T DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! Tell me who, after all that, wouldn't talk to their girlfriend before officially posting something romantic-wise for the first time? Who wouldn't make sure she was okay with it first? Especially since, again, we're not talking about an ordinary person. We're talking about someone famous with 12 million followers on IG.
A person who's actually gone through that kind of trauma, would never dare to do that. It wouldn't even cross their mind because they'd have respect for the person they're with. They’d also take their partner's feelings into consideration. They’d make sure that it would be okay for them even if their partner's out and proud, because they would never want to make someone else experience the trauma they themselves experienced firsthand. And honestly, tell me, does this seem to be the case for Lauren?
What I'm seeing now, from the podcast with KITTENS actually, is that they're using the strategy of showing Lauren's change. Showing more and more how she's healed and how she's more comfortable and open with her sexuality. I'm very happy about it, don't get me wrong. It's about time she could show what she in reality is since she was 17/18 years old. And I'm not even saying it's not true that for years she'd struggled with her internalized homophobia and all the other problems. Hell, we know fully well that's true. And I also understand that she had to suppress herself and follow the narratives mostly to hide Camren, let alone if I don't understand that. I'm just saying that, what I don't like is the way they made her act. Just as it doesn't sit well with me the usual incoherent love propaganda that they've already used in the past. I'll explain myself better.
Oh and, speaking of incoherent love propaganda used before. Is it only me who noticed that since that Valentine's Day post, Lauren's started talking about Sasha in interviews in the exact same way she used to talk about Ty when she was in a PR relationship with him? I mean, no differences? No imagination for something new? No? Just copy and paste? Um, okay… I- um 🤔🤨 I'll shut up 🤐.
Tumblr media
Back to this incoherent love propaganda.
If “We're so solid, and we have such a beautiful foundation and so much trust and love between us” (People), and if “the core-” of their relationship “-is love and respect” as she said in Shannon Boodram's podcast along with other things, then where was this trust and respect when she thought (?):
Zach Sang Show: “Damn is Valentine’s Day. I’m seeing all these people post their babes, I was like, this is my baby. Like I’m in love and I don’t care. I don’t care!” --- “But like I said, Valentine’s Day came, I saw all these cute pictures and I was like, you know what? Me and baby are cute. So I’m gonna post it”.
People: “I'm in love. We'd been together for a year by that point, and I was like, ‘You know what? Fuck it’.” --- “On Valentine's Day, I did it very impulsively. I didn't even talk with them about it first. I was just seeing people post their significant others, and I was just like, ‘Dude, I'm in love. These pictures are so cute. We're so cute. People deserve to see this shit’. Queer representation is important, I think”.
So 🤔 what I grasped from both interviews is that, she did it because she didn't care and because people deserved to see that shit because queer representation is important (although I agree with that last part), but at the same time (?):
Zach Sang Show: “The layer of fame is like a whole thing. But it’s so beyond that. I think the reason I keep my private life private for the most part, is because people are so invasive and projective”. --- “Especially people who say they’re fans”. --- “There’s those other people who just are so attached to you that they feel they have ownership over you and then they just like, trash someone you love and just try to make their lives miserable or make up things about them”. --- “That part is so weird to me, so I try to keep what makes me happy away from people who want to project unhappiness onto it”.
Oh yeah, we all saw that 🤦🏻‍♀️.
I mean, I'm being sarcastic here because she was talking about Sasha's situation, which is not true. But it is the truth in reality. It's the truth that applies in her life and above all with whom? *whispered echo: 🗣️ Cameeeela*
People: “Most of my relationships, I keep under wraps, just because it's really odd to have so many strangers have an opinion about who you're choosing to love or what goes on between the two of you. But I just want to be able to love them out loud and be able to share that with people”. --- “So, people's opinions don't really don't matter. Honestly, for me, it's more so about protecting them and making sure that they don't feel attacked because fans are fans”.
Protect them/her? PROTECT HER? 🤣🤣🤣 How? By exposing her and you guys ‘relationship’ to the world without even telling her? Ahh, okay 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Exposing her for sure keeps people from attacking her precisely because she's your girlfriend, sure, undoubtedly 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣. Mh-hmm, yeah, this way of thinking would've made sooo much sense if the relationship was true 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣.
“There's other fans who call themselves fans that I don't really consider fans. People who feel very possessive over you and feel like they have a right to tell you who you should or should not be with, which is really fascinating to me because you're literally a stranger who's never met me in real life. So it's really interesting that you think about who I should or shouldn't be with. And people have prejudices. Racism is a very real thing, and I don't like when she gets attacked or people send her really crazy-ass messages or send weird messages to her family. I really wanted to avoid that, but it was kind of happening anyways because people assumed we were in a relationship. So I was just like, ‘I guess it doesn't really fully matter at this point’. We just have to ignore those kinds of people as much as we can, because sometimes they're really violent and need to be handled. But for the most part, it's really just harmless, online shit”.
Putting aside the part where I super agree that people need to stop harassing them (Camren) and the people in their lives, let's talk about “I really wanted to avoid that, but it was kind of happening anyways because people assumed we were in a relationship” and “I guess it doesn't really fully matter at this point”.
She really wanted to avoid that, but she did it anyway, because she guessed it didn't really fully matter at that point because people assumed they were in a relationship?? Really??? What kind of protection would this be????
So, wait, wait, wait. From the top.
She wanted to avoid letting people know because she wanted to protect her and make sure she and her family weren't attacked, then Valentine's Day came along and she thought fuck it. Fuck her own privacy, fuck the protection of Sasha and her family, and fuck their trust and respect because, given that she saw people posting their significant other, she whimsically and impulsively decided to do the same. She revealed their relationship to the whole world without TELLING HER ANYTHING FIRST because she didn't care, because people deserved to see that shit because queer representation is important, and because she guessed it didn't really fully matter at that point because people already assumed they were in a relationship.
I mean… WHAT?????
Tumblr media
What in the world? What in the inconsistency? What kind of contradiction is all this? No really. Was all of that more important than her own girlfriend? Seriously?? No, I'm sorry. This is yet another proof of how fake and organized all this is.
From a logical point of view, it's impossible for me to think that Lauren just didn't care. It's impossible to think that she did it by putting all of that above her girlfriend's respect and trust. It's impossible to think they didn't talk about it before posting. It's impossible period.
This is Lauren we’re talking about here! Empathetic, caring, selfless, sensitive, and with a great emotional connection Lauren! The real Lauren would never do something like this. She would never put her own needs before those of someone she cares about. To quote Alastor ‘Mad-Eye’ Moody in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: ‘End of story. Goodbye. The end.’ Sorry but I had to 😅🤣. The conversation required a final quote 🙃.
But anyway. The bottom line of this charade: supposedly met on August 13, 2021, months without saying they had crushes on each other, non-existent dinner the night before going to Miami after which Laur texted her that she liked her and Sasha reciprocated, and therefore they got together supposedly the same night on December 18, 2021. Throughout all this, Sasha and Baylie were still together even still publicly, and Laur continued to act ‘single’ until Valentine's Day of the following year (2023).
Make it make sense! Make it make sense, seriously! But no hey, we know that a PR relationship MUST create doubts in people's heads and MUST NOT look perfect at all otherwise people would get bored and not speculate about it. Right, my bad I almost forgot 🤦🏻‍♀️.
So, this is the timeline, dear Anon. As for your question “Why would Lauren get into a relationship with someone else who is in a relationship?”, in my opinion, the better question would be ‘why did Sasha agree to do this since she was/maybe still is in a relationship?’. She was/is the one in a normal public relationship contrary to Laur who has a hidden one.
For Lauren it's business and it's convenient for many things. It's a cover for Camren and the songs, and it helps her queer image. Again “Queer representation is important”. But Sasha? Who knows. As I also said at the beginning, she benefits from both the money made from the contract and, more importantly, the visibility in the industry for her work. For the rest, I don't know how it went.
Lauren was looking for a girl for PR. Maybe Lauren was talking about it in general as friends do, and Sasha volunteered. Maybe Sasha talked about it with Baylie who, being an artist and a dancer as well and who therefore understands that lifestyle, agreed with it. Or maybe it was Lo's old management's idea after seeing them dance at the August rehearsal since we know very well how gays think, and they anticipated the reaction that inevitably happened later with the Prelude live. Or maybe it was Lauren's own idea since she has more freedom in her choices and she proposed it to her. I don't know. I don't know this. There's no proof around yet. I can only speculate.
Fact is that I don't see Lauren in a bad light here. It's not the first time she's been portrayed as a homewrecker and a traitor. They tried it before with the Lauren, Lucy, Ty, and Alycia Bella (ex of Ty) square story, and they tried again now with Sasha and Baylie. I didn't fall for it then and I don't fall for it now. You know why? Because it's all fake. I said it before and I also explained it in my PR stunt relationships - ɟ post: a PR relationship MUST create doubts in people's heads and MUST NOT look perfect at all otherwise people would get bored and not speculate about it.
So, dear Anon, the best thing to do in these cases is not to ask yourself questions like “Why would Lauren get into a relationship with someone else who is in a relationship?” since it's all fake and organized to entertain an audience, but it's to not ask yourself these kinds of questions at all precisely because it's all fake and organized to entertain an audience. But if you really have to, ask yourself questions that go arm-in-arm with reality and not Hollywood fiction 😉.
I hope I helped you understand as you hoped 🙃.

Aaand I'm done 👅. I hope you're both happy with this analysis 🤗.
Thanks to all the others for the other asks which, as I said at the beginning of the post, you'll get answered in the usual Q&A post I started 🙃. As usual, I'm always available for those who have questions, so ask away 😄.
Remember to be nice. Always. Both with others and with yourselves. Be a good example. Be patient. Be safe and take care of yourselves. Don't let our ship sink. Keep shipping them, but please respectfully 🙏🏼. Sending you virtual love and hugs 🤗🤗🤗. I love you, babies. Always with love, F ❤️.

Daniel Villarreal at LGBTQ Nation:
During New York City Pride last Sunday, pro-Palestinian protestors blocked the parade route, spraying red paint onto a truck towing the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) float. Some protestors began distributing informational leaflets, others smeared themselves in red paint and unfurled Palestinian flags, and several sat in the street alongside a white banner that read, “No queer liberation without Palestinian liberation.” “Free, Free Palestine!” they chanted, and “Shut it down!”
“By taking blood money from arms manufacturers, @HRC has become complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people,” wrote the protest organizer, Writers Against the War on Gaza (WAWOG), in an X post alongside a video of the action. “Stop arming Zionism. Free Palestine.” New York City police quickly cleared the area of photographers while onlookers repeatedly shouted, “Shame!” Officers then zip-tied the protestors, arresting 10 and charging seven with disorderly conduct, told Gay City News reported. Pro-Palestinian protestors had criticized the HRC last February for accepting a “platinum” financial sponsorship from Northrop Grumman, a weapons manufacturer that supplies the Israeli military. HRC has issued previous statements sympathizing with those harmed by the conflict.
But WAWOG wasn’t the only group who disrupted a Pride event this year to protest for Palestine. In Boston, Massachusetts, over 100 protestors blocked the parade route, and over 60 pro-Palestinian organizations signed a letter calling on the parade’s organizers to stop accepting money from companies with financial ties to Israel. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, pro-Palestinian protestors blocked the parade, facing off against a drumline. In Denver, Colorado, pro-Palestinian protestors interrupted a ska band performing on the PrideFest main stage to explain that the same conservative Christian nationalists who support the bombing of Palestine also regularly encourage violence against LGBTQ+ people. In San Francisco, California, over 1,000 people boycotted the main parade to attend a “No Pride in Genocide” Palestinian solidarity march, co-organized by Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism (QUIT) and a local chapter of Jewish Voices for Peace. The march’s organizers accused SF Pride of accepting sponsorships from corporations “actively involved in the genocide of the people of Gaza” while noting Israel’s human rights abuses against Palestinian queers.
“Palestinian queer people do not have the right of return, are subject to the dehumanizing and violent treatment Israel gives to all Palestinians at its numerous checkpoints, often do not have the ability to enter into Israel, even if in a relationship with an Israeli, and suffer the same persecution as all Palestinians,” a QUIT spokesperson said to LGBTQ Nation in a statement. Israel’s treatment of Palestine has long divided the LGBTQ+ community. Israel has spent millions to tout itself internationally as the most LGBTQ+-friendly nation in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Palestine grants nearly no civil rights to its own LGBTQ+ citizens. Pro-Palestinian protestors have long accused Israel of using its LGBTQ+-inclusive policies to “pinkwash” its human rights violations against Palestinians. As a result, anti-queer conservatives in the U.S. often resort to “homonationalism,” citing Muslim-majority countries’ anti-LGBTQ+ policies as a pretext for racism, Islamophobia, and violence against Muslims.
[...] Some members of the queer community, like Ethan Felson, executive director of A Wider Bridge, a nonprofit that connects LGBTQ+ communities in North America and Israel, say that the pro-Palestinian protests have made some Jewish queers feel unsafe and unwelcome at this year’s Pride events. Felson’s sentiments have been echoed by out gay Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), who has taken a very pro-Israel stance in the conflict.
“The anti-Israel wing of the LGBTQ community is essentially telling pro-Israel Jews that if you wish to be a part of the LGBTQ community, then you have to be in the closet about your Zionism, you have to be ashamed of your Zionism,” Torres told NBC News, referring to the movement to establish a Jewish homeland. “That to me is not Pride. That’s a perversion of Pride.” But the stakes of not speaking up have never been higher. While Biden’s policies have upset pro-Palestinian queers, other LGBTQ+ people have also pointed out that Trump doesn’t support Palestine either. As president, Trump drafted a “peace plan” for the region without any Palestinian input. He also defunded the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees and moved the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem while closing the U.S. mission to Palestine in the same city, both of which heightened tensions in the region. Additionally, Trump has said he will reinstate his Muslim travel ban and oversee mass deportations of immigrants in the U.S., having accused immigrants of “poisoning the blood of our country.” Overall, his stances threaten undocumented Arab families living in the U.S., increase hostility towards Arab Americans, and remove any pretense of the U.S. being a mediating force in Middle Eastern peace talks.
Pride Parades across the nation, including New York City, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and St. Louis, have had pro-Palestinian protesters blocking and disrupting parades to protest sponsors of Israel Apartheid State’s genocide campaign in Gaza and their pinkwashing campaign against LGBTQ+ Palestinians.

10 - Epic Fail: CBS Reporter Fails Miserably Trying to Get Chase Bank CEO to Smear Trump
First, Lesley Stahl attempted to get Jamie Dimon to agree that Trump’s tariffs are “bad for the economy,” but to her shock, Dimon dropped a reality check on her, saying, “I think you should read The Art of the Deal.”
Dimon explained that tariffs can “absolutely” be a useful tool when used the right way, helping to address unfair competition, protect national security, and fix issues with supply chains.
In a further blow to Stahl’s narrative, Dimon pointed out that policies like green energy subsidies and EV credits often don’t actually help rural areas much at all.
“They still didn’t have jobs, incomes didn’t go up, their schools weren’t working,” he said, stressing that these communities feel left behind, regardless of government programs.
The exchange ended in glory when Stahl tried to spin the narrative that Trump was being cold to Dimon and ignoring his calls.
To Stahl’s dismay, Dimon cleared the air and revealed that the story was completely false. “I called and left a message with his staff, and they called back saying the president appreciated it,” Dimon clarified.
This hit job failed miserably, and it is glorious to witness. Credit to ChiefNerd for the video.

Remarking illegal aliens who exploit natural disasters by looting homes “need to be sent back immediately,” DeSantis added some government officials who stand in the way of a mandatory federal deportation order will be removed.
“Now the accountability is significant. If those duties are clear in law, I have the authority with respect to certain officials to suspend them from their office if they are neglecting their duties. And that’s an authority that I have invoked when it’s been appropriate in the past,” the Republican governor told reporters at a press conference Monday.

“Mother Nature does what she does. And if you’re in the way, this is what happens.”
The actress-turned-commentator insisted the catastrophe was “nobody’s fault” while giving her take on the cause:
“There was a fire catastrophe in California. Had to do with winds. You know how they always say, ‘Oh, the wind.’ It actually does. The winds move things, and sparks move things, and it doesn’t matter how much water you have if 900,000 buildings go up at the same time.”

"Why Xfinity Customers Are Switching Providers in 2025"
1. Rising Costs Push Customers Away
Many customers are leaving Xfinity due to high prices. While the company offers good service, the cost of its plans keeps rising. The monthly bills are becoming too much for some users. For instance, a family of four might see an increase of $20 every few months. This adds up fast and causes frustration. Several customers share that after the first year, Xfinity raises prices, which feels like a hidden fee. One user from California shared, "My bill went up by $50, and I had no warning." This lack of transparency makes many consider cheaper options.
In addition to price hikes, bundling can add to the confusion. Bundling services like internet, TV, and phone might seem like a good deal. However, many find that the savings are not as big as promised. When customers review their bills, they notice extra fees and charges that were not explained upfront. These "extras" include things like taxes, installation fees, and equipment rentals. All of this makes customers look for more affordable alternatives.
Xfinity's competitors are making things easier. With clear pricing, no hidden fees, and better customer support, other companies are winning over Xfinity's former customers. Providers like Spectrum, AT&T, and Verizon offer plans that seem simpler and cheaper. This shift towards simplicity is one of the reasons many are saying goodbye to Xfinity.
2. Customer Service Issues
Xfinity has been criticized for poor customer service. One common complaint is long wait times on the phone. Many customers report waiting over an hour just to speak to someone. This can be a major turn-off, especially when you need help with technical issues. For example, a user in Florida said, "I waited for 45 minutes, then got transferred three times. I gave up and switched." It’s not just wait times that bother customers. The lack of resolution is another issue. Even after finally speaking to an agent, many customers feel that their problems are not solved.
In fact, Xfinity’s customer service has received many low ratings over the years. According to a survey by Consumer Reports, Xfinity ranked near the bottom for customer satisfaction. Issues such as incorrect billing, service outages, and technicians not showing up are common reasons for customers to leave. A user from Chicago shared, "They promised a tech would come on Saturday. He never showed up." This lack of follow-through leads people to try other providers who offer better support.
Some customers even claim that agents often try to upsell instead of helping solve problems. This can make the situation even more frustrating. When faced with poor service and long waits, it’s no wonder customers look for a better experience elsewhere.
3. Limited Service Areas and Speed Issues
Xfinity’s coverage area is another factor causing customers to switch. Many customers living in rural areas are frustrated by slow speeds. While Xfinity advertises "high-speed internet," some users in less populated regions report poor service. A small business owner in Texas said, "I signed up for their 100 Mbps plan, but the speed was often less than 10 Mbps." Slow speeds affect everything from video calls to streaming. This is a major dealbreaker for many, especially in today’s work-from-home environment.
Xfinity’s data caps also play a role in pushing customers away. Some people find themselves hitting the data limit early in the month. This leads to extra charges for additional data or slower speeds. A college student from Arizona shared, "I hit the limit watching Netflix and got charged extra. It was frustrating." These data restrictions are less common with other providers. Many customers find companies like AT&T and Google Fiber offer unlimited data with no additional costs.
Additionally, Xfinity’s service often experiences more outages than its competitors. A customer in New York stated, "I lost service during a big storm, and it took three days to restore. I needed it for work, so I switched to Verizon." With unreliable service, many customers prefer to find providers that are more dependable, even if they have to pay a bit more.
Xfinity’s rising prices, poor customer service, and inconsistent service speeds are leading many customers to look elsewhere. These problems, combined with a lack of transparency, have made other providers more attractive. Whether it’s a simple price drop or better customer care, people are deciding to make the switch.

So I've been thinking about capitalism
So, as some people know, before I became the queer anarchist squid lady that you all know and love, I was, um. A teenage libertarian.
That's. Not great! But in combination with my disabilities it gives me some interesting perspective about the interplay between capitalist systems and disability, that I kind of feel like are worth talking about.
See you under the cut for a discussion about techbro nonsense and how it can be seductive in the right context to disabled people.
Now, as I've said before, libertarianism is sort of like, a funhouse mirror version of socialism. Libertarians believe in equality and in the need for social progress, they just, wrongly, believe that capitalism should be the vehicle to get there, and that the obstacle to getting there is government over-regulation.
The thing that's interesting, and that I think is worth talking about, is how this interplayed with the fact that I'm disabled, and how I viewed disability accommodation.
As some know, I'm unable to drive. My vision is too poor, my attention span is too poor, and, honestly I have serious doubts about my motor skills being up to par either. Nowadays if you asked me I'd tell you the solution would be better public transportation, but when I was younger, I had completely bought into the promise of things like Waymo. The idea of self-driving cars was transfixing to my younger self.
You could argue a part of that is due to American cultural indoctrination about the car as a symbol of agency. It was also because, in my experience, travel by bus is far slower than travel by car. Either way, I was so lost in the American late-stage capitalist soup that I didn't realize the actual solution - trains.
And this, I think, explains why things like Elon Musk's Boring Company are so alluring. Trains have a negative image to the average American, and cars are seen as an emblem of American freedom and agency, like the gun (oh boy that's an entire discussion on its own), and so people get swept up into the narrative of cars-as-public-transit, because they either don't realize public transit would have those benefits too, or they place outsize value on the car itself, be it due to the aforementioned agency, or due to a desire for privacy.
The ultimate realization of this, of course, is Elon Musk admitting that he only pitched the idea of the Hyperloop as a poison pill to kill the California high speed rail project, because he didn't want to share a train with other people.
But there's another example of a pie-in-the-sky hypercapitalist dream technology that I think preys outsize on disabled people. And that's Meta's pitched idea for the metaverse, or any metaverse concept that involves supplanting or augmenting reality.
Of course, there are platforms like Second Life, VRChat, Neos VR, Resonite... Platforms where, either officially or unofficially, you can make an income off of paid assets, like custom avatars. When combined with the fact that these are immersive social platforms, especially when VR gets involved, these platforms suggest that one can use them to replace the 'real world'.
To the disabled, this is a swan song - no longer do you even NEED that self-driving car, you can live an entire remote life. If income from these platforms isn't enough to sustain you, you could get a remote office job, and just use social VR in your downtime, or you could find a way to get passive income, by making something people will have a continuous need for, like music on Spotify that's safe to use in Twitch streams, or video game engine asset packs. There's lots of ways to approach that problem, but it's out-of-scope of this post.
To get back to the point, Meta's pitch for their metaverse is like this concept on overdrive. A world where everyone is wearing an AR headset at all times, and as a result, anyone can remote into any location through a sort of VR telepresence. If your friends are somewhere, and you can't be there, say you're sick, say you're disabled, say you have a baby or a partner to take care of, for any reason, you can just start a group call with them over VR, and you'd 'be there' without being there.
Of course, this leaves a lot of unspoken issues on the table. How would this necessarily work? They would need to make and maintain a digital spatial 'layer' over the real world, that people would access, be it using an AR headset in person, or a VR headset remotely.
They aren't going to set up depth cameras all over the world to capture the environment on an ongoing basis, so would they do this using the cameras on peoples' headsets? What if someone was wearing a headset and doing something private, like reading a note from someone? Then someone in VR could invisibly sneak up behind them and read it. What about countries with strict privacy laws, like Germany?
It's a siren song for the disabled, sold on a dream, but that dream is built on implicit and explicit violations of social norms, and it's turtles privacy violations all the way down.
I don't have anywhere I'm really going with this. I just, wanted to get it all out onto paper, because I've been thinking about how leftists will call technologies like self-driving cars, hyperloop, the metaverse, etc, things like pipe dreams by the rich, or the 'torment nexus' (a future technology originating as a cautionary tale against creating it in a sci-fi novel), but I think that misses the intersectionality of how these technologies can be seductive to people that, if they were feasible, would benefit from them.
The operative part of that sentence being 'if they were feasible', and my point being that they either are not, or are not without massive drawbacks, making them a siren song and ultimately destructive.
But who cares as long as Elon and Zuck are making billions off the back of impossible dreams, right? /s

Your nostalgia trip made for a good read. Part of the reason I sent it was because I was reading an article on that film's Japanese release and also was surprised to learn that the film was released in Japan. https://legendsoflocalization.com/movies-in-japanese-01-the-wizard/
I hope they didn't rip on us too hard over it, got a friend I'm gonna need to send this to as well.
This picture, wildly curious about Japanese Ferris Buler
Tumblr media
This time we’ll be looking at a subtitled VHS version of The Wizard, which was known as Sweet Road in Japan.
While the movie is often considered a 100-minute Nintendo commercial among gamers like us, it feels a little different when looking at it from the outside in. It’s touted more as a fun road adventure/coming-of-age movie in Japanese, hence the “Sweet Road” title. Even if you can’t read any of the Japanese text, you can see this change in focus from the art on the back of the box. It’s described as a “lighthearted and touching American road movie” and the tagline at the top says:
Heroes don’t cry. We headed to California in pursuit of the rest of our dream.
The presentation and title give it a strong “we’re going for a Stand by Me” vibe, which we’ve previously seen is a big deal in Japan.
(I'd rather this than the actual Stand By Me)
The movie title changed for its Japanese release, but the new title appears before the actual movie begins. Then, when the original title pops up in English, nothing is displayed in its place. It’s probably assumed that the audience understands that the title was changed for Japanese audiences. The back of the Japanese box randomly includes the original “The Wizard” logo too, so that connection probably helps explain the situation too.
On a different note, an 80s song plays during this intro scene. It’s left untranslated and unsubtitled though. It’s pretty normal to see songs untranslated in English-to-Japanese movie translations unless the lyrics hold some meaningful connection to the story or to what’s happening on screen at the same time. Basically, if a song is used as a decoration for setting the mood, it’s pretty normal to see it untranslated.
Also, from personal experience, Japanese companies are weird about lyrics and their songs having separate licenses, which means that even if you have permission to use a song in a video, you don’t necessarily have permission to translate the song. Those rights have to be negotiated separately. This is why anime songs don’t always get translated right away. I don’t think that’s what’s going on here, though – I feel like it’s just the standard “it’s only audio decoration” approach. __________________
I gotta get up for a few, I will be reading this though it looks like a wildly fascinating look into how American culture gets translated elsewhere, since it's just such a basic film plot anyhow.
This is cool thank you

The Freedom of Expression: Vol 17 - Visit to Fussa.
(*In summary form because I feel this would be clearer to read than a transcript this time*)
They start by commenting on how good the weather is, and mentioned that the previous day was really rainy.
Joe points out the tower visible in the opening shot with the words 'AIR FORCE' on it, and jokes that they are in California, but then admits that they are actually in Fussa City, just outside the Yakota American military base. Specifically, they are at the famous Base Side Street, which runs along the National Route 16.
Joe explains that Base Side Street is a stretch of shopping zone that runs for about 1km, and contains many American style shops and restaurants, such as vintage clothes stores, army goods stores etc. Its often named Tokyo's America, where you can get a feel of America even while you are in Tokyo.
Joe then explains that in a recent members only video, they had been discussing ideas about how to spend Golden Week, and Joe had suggested going to Fussa to rumage in the vintage clothes stores. (*Golden Week is the name of the week of national holidays in May*)
Kaoru said he had actually prefered Tasai's suggestion of going to Hawaii, but since they didn't have the buget for that, Joe's suggestion won.
They explain that although this isn't going to be a live broadcast in the true sense, they intend to record continuously, and then broadcast the footage without editing on the 28th, so Joe warns the other two to watch what they say. Kaoru says Joe is the one who needs to watch what he says (*laughs at this*)
Kaoru says he goes to vintage/second hand clothes shops quite regularly.
Joe then says they should absorb the atmosphere of America while they are in this area, and even speak lots of English. (to which Kaoru points out Joe has only used Japanese the whole time).
Tasai reveals he has a bit of spending money given to them by Dwango (*the company who own niconama*) , and they decide to use it to buy a present to give away to one viewer. This adventure will also be a nice treat for those who don't have any trips planned for Golden Week.
As Joe reads out the show info, a helicopter flies overhead, then Tasai mentions that the three of them will be able to watch the broadcast with everyone else when it airs, slightly to their embarrassment.
They get started with the mission by heading into the store in front of them, 'ragFreak'.
Joe jokes that the first thing Tasai looked at was the sale items.
Tasai comments that this store looks like it might stock his size.
Joe says its been quite a few years since he last went shopping for vintage/second hand clothes, although he doesn't really know why.
Kaoru finds a rare addidas jacket with the logo upside down, and the words 'ALT Dimension' on the back, but this item is way out of their budget. Joe suggests a tshirt might be cheaper, and then warns the others that if they start browsing too seriously, the conversion will dry up. This is no good for the broadcast, so 'start talking!'.
Kaoru finds a Los Angeles Dodgers tshirt featuring the player Nomo Hideo, and then Joe then points him in the direction of the black band tshirts.
Tasai reminds them that if they buy a tshirt here, that will already be the end of the broadcast. Joe complains that Dwango should have given them enough money to get food aswell. Always thinking about money, he jokes his name is actually Joe Kanemizo. (kane=money)
Joe finds a few army goods, fitting to the area, and then asks Kaoru if there are particular items he wants to get hold of this year. Kaoru says he is interested in getting a kind of blouson style jacket, and points out the type of thing he likes. He wants it for when the weather starts to get cold again later in the year. Joe asks if he has any preference for material or color, but Kaoru laughs that he is not that serious about it.
Then they take a look at the expensive vintage tshirts in the glass case. For example, the Nirvana shirt costing ¥49,500. Kaoru also notices a Reservoir Dogs shirt for ¥50,000, and says he actually has a shirt the same as the Metallica shirt in the case. Joe tells him to sell it, and take them out for drinks with the proceeds 😆
Joe asks the store owner to open the case and let them have a closer look. The owner explains that all the tshirts in the case are items which customers have sold to him, not Americans but Japanese customers. Joe comments that Americans wouldn't understand this type of shirt being sold for so much.
Kaoru gets out the Nirvana shirt and comments that the bigger the size, the bigger the price usually. Tasai asks him if he likes a bigger size or a close fitting size. Kaoru says he likes bigger, but its a shame about the price.
Joe points out a tshirt for ¥60,000, which he thinks is Sonic Youth, but is actually the expensive brand Saint Michael. Tasai and Kaoru like the damage effect it has. Kaoru also gets out the Reservoir Dogs shirt, which is a vintage shirt made in the movie's original release era. Joe then tells Kaoru to try on some sunglasses, but Kaoru replies, 'Haha, no'.
Kaoru spots some WAKO MARIA shirts on the bottom shelf. Kaoru is very familiar with this brand, but Tasai seems to have never heard of it, asking 'Is this a brand?'. Kaoru tells him that its a Japanese brand and is even currently holding an exhibition.
On his way past, Kaoru spots a Supreme Akira shirt for ¥70,000, and Joe spots a sparkly shirt that looks like something the celebrity Mikawa Kenichi would wear. He tells Kaoru to try it, but Kaoru laughs, saying he is ok, but Joe should try it instead. Joe says it would just make him look like a Kansai granny as usual.
Kaoru comments on how much fun he is having just looking at all the stuff.
Joe spots his fave brand, Comme de garcons, specifically Undercover × Comme de garcons items. Kaoru feels nostalgia seeing these.
Tasai says he is actually looking for something to buy for himself too, so Kaoru points out some dungarees to match Joe's. Joe gives him a hat and a tshirt to complete the look, and Kaoru aproves. There is some suggestion this combo makes Tasai look like the comedian Ishi chan (Ishizuka Hidehiko), with Joe and Kaoru repeating his famous catchphrase 'maiyu〜'. Then they talk about finding a new look for Tasai, and wonder what they could pick for him. Kaoru suggests some leather jackets for him. Tasai says the sleeves would be too tight on his arms...his arms are too muscley.
At the suggestion to move on to another shop, Joe repeats today's missions: 1) Find a present for a viewer, and 2) Find an outfit for Tasai. He hands Tasai a red shirt to try, which Kaoru says suits him. To the surprise of the others, Tasai quite likes it, and considers buying it. The others laugh that it would not work to just cut the filming here.
Joe suggests a scarf for Tasai to make him look like a rich guy.
They leave the store, expessing the desire to come back again in private to do more shopping.
Kaoru tells Joe that its the first time for him to ever visit Fussa, and then Joe starts to explain that he has actually been inside the American base before, at the invitation of a freind. He says that everything inside the base is exactly like it would be in America (dollars are even used), the supermarkets etc are completely American.
Passing a regular local Chinese restaurant on the street, Kaoru is reminded of American style diners. Joe continues that a lot of the staff on the base are Americans, and most of the restaurants on base only have English menus.
Kaoru asks if personel on the base are allowed out into Japanese land to get fried chicken from Family Mart (they are passing Family Mart at that moment), to which Joe replied that they are definitely allowed, and the nightlife area around Fussa station is often teeming with American soldiers at weekends.
Kaoru points out how the soldiers work in American territory, but get to enjoy their private life in Japanese territory, which is really cheap for them, given the current exchange rate.
Tasai points to something within the base which he thinks looks like a rocket. The others mock him for thinking the Americans would put a rocket so close to the wall of the base.
Kaoru asks Joe if all the cars in the base have American number plates. Joe tells him that they have special base 'Y' plates, but they are still subject to Japanese shaken/車検 car inspections.
Joe points out the entrance to the base, explaining that base personel need only thier ID to get in and out, but visitors like Joe have to be either with someone from the base, or have a special invitation letter etc (At least they did when he went in).
Tasai spots Yakota High School over the fence of the base, and then suggests going into a saftey/work gear store that they happen to be passing by.
Passing this store by, Joe says that compared to 20 years ago when he often used to come to Fussa, he feels like the number of stores has reduced. There used to be tailors and stuff, especially one store where the musician Kiyoshiro (Imawano) used to get his suits made.
Joe continues on to explain that a lot of American style houses were originally built around the base, as well as businesses to cater to the base. This area since became a desirable place to live, with musicians such as Hosono Haruomi from Yellow Magic Orchestra having lived there. Tasai comments that this is a bit like the city of Koza in Okinawa.
They pass a fancy looking furniture store, and Joe explains that the group who made all these stores with 'Demode' in the name, are the same ones who made a certain chinese restaurant which he knows of. This company has used the old American buildings and renovated them into new shops and restaurants.
They consider stopping at 'Demode Diner' for a drink and a bite to eat, but decide it would be impractical to sit down and order food, given the time contraints of the broadcast.
While Kaoru has a quick look at the menu, Joe realises he has talked so much he has forgotten which point in his notes he should be at, and tries to find the right page. The menu on the wall is full of burgers and other American food, not practical to walk and eat with.
Joe says that they should try to take some photos with an American essence while they are there. He suggests putting the tag 'I went to America' with the photos. A staff member hands him a phone with which to take the pics.
Kaoru points out some scenery over the fence of the base, and takes a photo of it. Lost in the atmosphere of America, they are suddenly pulled back to Japanese reality by a couple of bicycles heading straight past where they are standing.
They come up to a store called 'Marks' with a metal grate front, and Joe tells Tasai to pose like an American gangster infront of it. They can obscure his face with mosiac pixels later for grater effect. Joe loves this pic of Tasai, claiming 'TFOE finally made it to America!!'
Joe has his turn to pose for a photo, and upon seeing the photo which Kaoru took of him, says 'Look, Im in America!', causing the others to laugh. Joe is very impressed with how 'American' Fussa actually is. He notices that even the signs in the parking lot are written in English, and states again about how the soldiers spend a lot of time in the neighborhood on weekends. A lot of the staff in stores in Fussa also speak English.
Joe mentions that usually once a year the base opens its gates for a festival where all local residents are free to go inside the base and have a look around.
Joe also says that there is a certain American heavy metal band which comes to play concerts on the base sometimes, not as part of a Japan tour. They just play at the base and then return home.
They stop opposite the open gate no.5 of the base to finish the free half of the broadcast. Kaoru wonders if they would get caught if they just ran through the open gate now. Joe says they probably would, but dares Tasai to do it all the same. (*laughing at this*)
Joe states that they will continue looking for a present in the second half, and then reads out the usual show info. Kaoru announces that he is mid tour, and it seems to be going well so far. Joe says he intends to attend the Haneda dates.

[ID: tags by logictxt reading "#if i wone day find out he didnt even make earthworm jim ost it'll be so fucking funny #the one ost he Surely Definitely Did Make in my mind #but at this point its hard to believe the man" ]
Hey uh so...
It doesn't seem like he made Earthworm Jim either? Or at least not as much as he claims.
Because I am obsessive I remember reading this comment from ages ago, from a musician named Tony Bernetich claiming he did some EWJ1 and most of EWJ2:
"Currently I am working in the pit orchestra for the musical Oklahoma and the French horn player turned me on to this video when she found out I did the music for Earthworm Jim one and two. Yes, you read right….I did two levels on Earthworm one and all but two on Earthworm Jim two. In the 80’s I had just earned my masters in music comp plus a teaching credential from UCI while my wife was a tax auditor for the state of California. She always had my “reel” with her and while she was auditing Virgin Games in Irvine where Tommy worked, she hunted him down and gave him my reel. At that time Tommy was trying to create a banjo tune for Shiny Entertainment, the company that created Earthworm Jim, and I was playing piano at a 900 seat western themed dinner theater in Buena Park. At this theater I worked with a well known five-string banjoist and I asked him to “tab” some banjo rolls so I can add a bluegrass banjo tune for my reel….the same reel that my wife handed to Tommy Tallarico. Musically, Tommy is possibly one step above a garage band musician and was absolutely clueless when it came to banjo. Anyway, he paid me a couple of hundred bucks for the banjo file and tasked me with more music work for Earthworm Jim two. I also did some work on Madden Football and a Spot game for him. On Earthworm two most of the music was mine and years later I discovered that the other composer who created the music for level one was Cristophe Beck who composed music for TV and movies. In California, if you do music for a living, you have to wear a lot of hats or you wind up eating your kids, so in addition to composing, I was teaching, grading compositions for MTAC and performing and totally forgot about Tallarico. About twenty years ago my wife found a website with Tallarico explaining how he created the banjo file. She read it to me and I cracked up….the guy was lying through his teeth. So, judging from this video, he obviously has a problem with the truth….and I’m one of the hard working folk whose work he took credit for during his career."
And when looking for it I also found this comment, which discusses how Tallarico wasn't even credited on EWJ1, Mark Miller was:
"After all this, I'm not entirely convinced Tommy actually did the music for Earthworm Jim. He's not actually in the credits, some guy named Mark Miller of Neuromantic Productions was. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I cannot find any connection between Mark and Tommy. I recall somewhere (I forget where) that Tommy acknowledges that his name isn't in the credits, and he said this was for "legal reasons" (he provided no further details). One one hand, EWJ was created by a relatively small team, and it seems difficult to believe that Tommy (especially before he became a star) would be able to take credit for this and no one would say anything. And he is credited on Earthworm Jim 2. On the other hand, the Genesis version of EWJ2 credits "Tommy Tallarico Studios" for the music. The Genesis version was created first, and the rest of the ports credit Tommy exclusively. Kind of makes me wonder if the compositions were handled mostly by someone else, and he just handled the conversion for the ports. It's pure speculation, but given Tommy's credibility, it makes me wonder."
And then this reddit post, when I searched up Tony Bernetich:
"...The one composer listed in the entire game is Mark Miller, who did a lot of games on the Genesis and SNES at the time (among other consoles later), and there are two songs apparently done by Tony Bernetich. Going by that, that would mean Mark Miller composed the rest. The one thing that gets me, is that Mark Miller has a very distinct style he does on the Genesis. Only about two or three songs have that sound, Snot a Problem, Rodeo Jim and the song where Jim Loses. Those are the only songs that sound like he might have done them, or at least handled the audio. But there are several songs in the game that have a totally different sound, and those are New Junk City, Down The Tubes/Level 5, For Pete's Sake, and the Buttville songs. I suppose it's possible Mark wrote those, but did someone else handle the sound driver for those, because those sound nothing like how Miller's Genesis music usually sounds. The SNES version, on the other hand, sounds perfectly like Mark Miller probably did the entire soundtrack...."
So... yeah. It's not academic level fact checking, but I'd err on the side of "he probably didn't compose Earthworm Jim"
I know the whole Hbomberguy Tommy Tallarico thing is extremely old news by now but I think I just had a firsthand Tallarico Experience TM.
A couple days ago I watched the vid together with my husband who hadn't watched it yet, and last night were talking about it and laughing about the whole "first american to ever work on sonic" thing and I was like. "What even were the tracks he composed for Sonic? Lemme look them up"
So we looked up which tracks he composed for Sonic and the Black Knight and ended up accidentally finding out that:
None of the three tracks he contributed to the Sonic and the Black Knight soundtrack were actually original compositions, they were remixes (with VERY slight changes, we checked) of songs originally featured in Black Dawn and Adrenix, two games Tommy Tallarico Studios made music for back in the 90's.
None of those original tracks from those games were even composed by him, they were composed by Todd Dennis, a former Tommy Tallarico Studios employee.
We weren't even trying to expose him or dig deeper into anything, we were just trying to look up what was the music he made for Sonic and ended up finding out that the work that, according to him, warrants him the title of "first american to ever work on sonic" wasn't even like. Making any original music but literally just polishing up some decade-old tracks that he happened to own the rights to because one of his former employees composed them for two completely different games.
Like this guy's entire persona and career are built on a web of lies so delicate and multilayered that just by being curious about his work on Sonic we accidentally found out about two additional layers of mistruth we weren't even previously aware of. Truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Dashcam Chronicles: OwnSilent RN46 Helps Clear Driver in False Accident Claim
Incident Overview:
On November 3, 2024, Michael Thompson, an accountant from San Diego, California, was driving home after a long day of work. He was on the I-5 Freeway, cruising in the middle lane with moderate traffic. Out of nowhere, a vehicle in the far left lane suddenly swerved across multiple lanes, cutting directly in front of Michael’s car. The maneuver forced Michael to slam on his brakes to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, he wasn’t able to avoid the car entirely, and his front bumper grazed the other car’s rear side.
The driver of the other vehicle, a woman in her late thirties, immediately pulled over and claimed that Michael had hit her vehicle without any provocation. She seemed convinced that he had caused the accident and began to demand compensation for what she claimed was substantial damage to her vehicle. The woman even claimed that she had suffered whiplash and intended to file an insurance claim against Michael for both the damage to her car and her supposed injuries.
Michael, startled by the accusation, tried to explain that the other driver had cut him off and that he had attempted to avoid the collision. However, the woman refused to hear his side of the story, insisting that he was at fault. As the situation escalated, Michael realized that he needed to provide clear evidence of what had actually happened.
Fortunately, Michael had recently installed the OwnSilent RN46 Dashcam in his car. Little did he know that this decision would prove to be a game-changer in resolving the dispute.
Role of Dashcam Evidence:
The OwnSilent RN46 Dashcam, with its 4K ultra-clear recording, wide-angle lens, and motion detection feature, had captured the entire incident. The footage clearly showed that Michael had been driving responsibly in the middle lane when the other driver suddenly swerved from the far left lane, cutting across in front of him.
In the video, it was clear that Michael had reacted instantly to avoid the collision, slamming on his brakes and swerving slightly to the right. Despite his quick reflexes, the other driver’s sudden lane change resulted in a minor graze to the side of her car. The dashcam also captured the exact time and date, and the timestamp feature showed that the entire incident occurred at precisely 5:22 PM.
The most crucial piece of evidence was the clear motion detection footage showing that Michael had not been tailgating or driving aggressively. In fact, the dashcam revealed that Michael had maintained a safe distance from the other vehicle, making the woman’s claims of reckless driving by Michael completely unfounded.
Moreover, the footage also included a clear view of the woman’s vehicle swerving abruptly across multiple lanes, which clearly indicated that she was at fault for the collision. The wide-angle lens provided an unobstructed view of the situation, ensuring that the entire sequence of events was captured with crystal-clear precision.
Investigation and Legal Proceedings:
Michael immediately contacted his insurance company and the San Diego Police Department to report the incident. He submitted the OwnSilent RN46 Dashcam footage as part of his evidence. The insurance company reviewed the video and quickly determined that the other driver was at fault, as the footage proved that Michael had done everything he could to avoid the crash.
The San Diego Police Department also reviewed the dashcam footage and agreed that the woman’s version of events was inconsistent with the video evidence. The footage clearly showed that Michael was not at fault and that the woman’s attempt to fabricate a false claim had been exposed. The police also noted that her claims of whiplash were likely exaggerated, as there was no indication of a high-impact collision, just a minor bumper scrape.
The woman, realizing that she could not win her case against Michael with the dashcam evidence, eventually backed down from her demand for compensation and medical claims. Michael’s insurance company was able to resolve the matter quickly, and there was no increase in his premiums, thanks to the clear evidence provided by the dashcam.
Lessons from the Incident:
This situation highlights how critical it can be to have a dashcam in the car, especially when dealing with false claims or misunderstandings after an accident. The OwnSilent RN46 Dashcam proved invaluable in proving Michael’s innocence, capturing the entire sequence of events with clarity and precision.
Without the dashcam footage, Michael would have been left to defend himself against a fraudulent claim, potentially facing legal trouble or higher insurance premiums. The 4K ultra-clear recording, wide-angle lens, and motion detection feature all contributed to providing undeniable proof of what had happened.
This case serves as a reminder that dashcams are not just for recording accidents but also for protecting drivers from false claims and insurance fraud. The footage provides a reliable, independent record of what actually happened, ensuring that drivers are not unfairly blamed for accidents they didn’t cause.
Emotional Impact:
For Michael, the emotional toll of being falsely accused was significant. He felt stressed, frustrated, and upset, knowing that someone was trying to take advantage of the situation. However, after seeing the footage from the OwnSilent RN46 Dashcam, he felt a great sense of relief. Knowing that the evidence was on his side gave him confidence in the legal and insurance processes.
The peace of mind Michael gained from knowing the truth was documented and protected by his dashcam helped him move past the incident quickly. He could continue his life without worrying about the financial and emotional strain of defending himself against a fraudulent claim.

How a San Jose Car Accident Lawyer Can Maximize Your Compensation
Car accidents are sudden and often life-changing events. In the aftermath of a collision, victims face not only physical injuries but also emotional trauma, financial burdens, and legal complexities. If you've been involved in a car accident in San Jose, securing the services of an experienced car accident lawyer can be the key to maximizing your compensation. This comprehensive guide will explain how a skilled attorney can help you recover the full extent of damages you're entitled to.
Tumblr media
Understanding Car Accident Compensation in San Jose
Types of Compensation Available
Victims of car accidents may be entitled to several types of compensation, including:
Medical Expenses: Covers current and future medical costs, hospital stays, surgeries, physical therapy, and prescription medications.
Lost Wages: Compensation for income lost due to inability to work.
Property Damage: Repair or replacement of your vehicle and personal belongings.
Pain and Suffering: Non-economic damages for physical pain and emotional distress.
Loss of Consortium: Compensation for the impact on relationships with family members.
Punitive Damages: In cases of gross negligence or intentional harm, additional damages may be awarded to punish the offender.
California's Comparative Fault Rule
California follows a comparative fault rule, meaning compensation is reduced by your percentage of fault in the accident. For example, if you're 20% at fault and your damages amount to $100,000, you would receive $80,000. An attorney can help minimize your assigned fault to maximize your compensation.
The Role of a San Jose Car Accident Lawyer
Thorough Case Evaluation
An experienced lawyer begins by conducting a thorough evaluation of your case. This includes:
Reviewing police reports
Analyzing medical records
Investigating the accident scene
Interviewing witnesses
By understanding the full scope of your situation, your lawyer can build a strong case to support your claim.
Evidence Collection and Preservation
Evidence is critical in personal injury claims. A San Jose car accident lawyer will gather and preserve essential evidence, such as:
Photographs and videos from the scene
Surveillance footage
Vehicle damage assessments
Black box data from vehicles
Cell phone records (for distracted driving cases)
Calculating the Full Extent of Damages
Many victims underestimate the true value of their claims. Attorneys use their experience to calculate both economic and non-economic damages, ensuring no cost is overlooked.
Negotiating with Insurance Companies
Insurance adjusters are trained to minimize payouts. Your lawyer will:
Handle all communications with insurers
Counter lowball offers with solid evidence
Negotiate aggressively for a fair settlement
Having legal representation often results in significantly higher settlements compared to handling claims alone.
Representing You in Court
If negotiations fail, your attorney can take your case to court. Litigation requires:
Filing legal documents
Presenting evidence
Arguing your case before a judge and jury
An experienced trial lawyer increases your chances of securing full compensation through a favorable verdict.
Strategies to Maximize Your Compensation
Proving Liability
Establishing the other party's liability is crucial. Your attorney will gather evidence to show negligence, which may include:
Traffic law violations (speeding, running red lights)
DUI or distracted driving
Poor vehicle maintenance
Demonstrating the Severity of Injuries
Detailed medical documentation can strengthen your claim. Your lawyer may:
Consult medical experts
Obtain diagnostic reports
Document treatment plans and recovery timelines
Utilizing Expert Witnesses
Expert testimony can provide credibility to your case. Common experts include:
Accident Reconstructionists: Explain how the accident occurred
Medical Experts: Clarify the extent of injuries
Economists: Calculate future financial losses
Avoiding Common Mistakes
Your attorney will advise you on how to avoid mistakes that could harm your case, such as:
Admitting fault at the scene
Discussing the case on social media
Accepting early settlement offers
Filing Within Deadlines
California's statute of limitations for personal injury cases is two years from the accident date. Your lawyer ensures all paperwork is filed on time, preserving your right to compensation.
The Benefits of Hiring a Local San Jose Lawyer
Familiarity with Local Laws and Courts
A San Jose-based lawyer understands California traffic laws and local court procedures, giving you an advantage.
Knowledge of Local Resources
Local attorneys often have connections with:
Medical providers
Accident reconstruction experts
Investigators
Personalized Attention
Working with a local firm often means more direct communication and personalized service.

SoCal Firms Accused|of Selling Fetal Tissue
In a civil complaint that's already sparked political fireworks, the Orange County district attorney says two medical products companies and the family that owns them made huge, illegal profits by selling fetal tissue to researchers from samples donated by Planned Parenthood. Entering the politically charged area of embryonic stem cells and abortion, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas seeks civil penalties of $3 million or more from, DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences, and their owner-operators Andres Isaias, Estefano Isaias Sr. and Estefano Isaias Jr.
Planned Parenthood is not a party to the lawsuit, nor is it accused of wrongdoing. Rackauckas said at a news conference that Planned Parenthood did nothing wrong and did not receive any money from the defendants. Donations of stem cells and tissues from aborted fetuses are legal, but "the sale of fetal tissue and cells for 'valuable consideration' is illegal under both California and federal law," Rackauckas says in the Oct. 11 complaint in Orange County Court.
He says the companies, which operate out of the same address in Yorba Linda and are jointly owned and managed by the Isaias family, "obtained aborted fetus donations from Planned Parenthood and turned those donations into a profit-driven business."
They sold vials of fetal tissue for as much as $700 — a 2,700 percent markup from the $26 it cost to produce, Rackauckas says. "Defendants' conduct was knowing and intentional and in complete disregard of the law," the complaint states. "Indeed, rather than attempt to limit their income on sales to allowable amounts, defendants ignored their legal obligations entirely and affirmatively set forth, at the direction of the Isaias defendants, a business objective and plan to profit on their sales efforts." An attorney for the defendants, Michael Tein, said in a statement that Rackauckas's office has the numbers all wrong — that they "do not reflect the full costs of developing each bio-sample."
Tein, with Lewis Tein in Coconut Grove, Fla., said his clients never turned a profit. "This is a civil lawsuit over cost-accounting issues," Tein said. "We look forward to explaining the full story to the court." The district attorney's lawsuit began from an anonymous, confidential complaint from a member of the public, according to Kelly Ernby, the deputy district attorney in charge of the case. She said the case is about enforcing the law, not politics. "This case is not about whether it should be lawful to sell fetal parts or whether fetal tissue research is ethical or legal," Rackauckas said in a statement. While there is a "right to conduct stem cell research" in the California Constitution, the defendants were "treating human parts as commodities instead of giving it the respect the law intended," Rackauckas said. "This lawsuit is aimed at taking the profit out of selling body parts."
Anti-abortion groups quickly trumpeted the lawsuit to bolster their accusations against the nationwide women's healthcare provider. "This suit vindicates the brave whistleblowers of the Center for Medical Progress and every pro-life American who demanded the nation's largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, and their partners in the harvest and sale of baby body parts be held accountable," Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. The Center for Medical Progress is the Irvine-based organization that secretly filmed Planned Parenthood representatives two years ago, allegedly discussing the sale of fetal parts. The videos the group released were heavily edited. A federal appellate panel heard arguments Tuesday about preventing the group from releasing additional secret videos.
The center's founder, David Daleiden, posted a statement on the company blog last week also calling for Planned Parenthood to be "held accountable." DaVinci Biosciences began in 2008 as a biotechnology research laboratory. In 2009, its founders launched DV Biologics as "a revenue-driven unit" to sell "products derived from the cells and tissues they were already collecting," according to the lawsuit. They realized that using small samples, such as fetal tissue donated by Planned Parenthood, they could grow many more cells and sell them to other researchers for almost any price, according to the complaint. Using one fetus donation, plus "just a few hours of time, and very little cost … DV scientists created hundreds of vials of fetal stem cells, which they packaged separately for sale on a per vial basis," the complaint states. As the company grew, it added marketing and sales staff and sold products across the globe, to Australia and China, Germany and Spain. From 2012 through 2015, DV Biologics made many hundreds of sales, bringing in more than $1.5 million in revenue, according to the complaint, and turning a profit in every year but the first. At one point, DV had a combined inventory of "pre-natal" and "post-natal" cell products worth $4.4 million, the complaint states, citing company documents.
Prices were set high to allow profits while leaving room for negotiations and discounting. The lawsuit lists costs and prices for several of the company's top-selling products, such as one derived from fetal heart cells. Vials cost less than $26 to produce and sold for $350 to $700, depending on discount. The California Health and Safety Code section that prohibits selling fetal tissue for more than cost "is a very specific statute right on point" in this case, Ernby said. That constitutes unfair competition, the district attorney says. He seeks a court order preventing further violations and fines of up to $2,500 apiece for 503 illegal sales made since 2012. The two companies also apparently have run afoul of California's income tax agency, the Franchise Tax Board. Rackauckas says the board forfeited DaVinci's "powers, rights and privileges" in 2014 and DV's last year. He seeks civil penalties of $2,500 for every day the companies operated in California since the forfeitures. Andres Isaias is president of both companies. He is the brother of Estefano Isaias Jr. All three are founders and managers of the companies, according to the complaint.

Thanks for posting! More info below.
"The Communications Workers of America (CWA) has confirmed that over 500 employees at Blizzard Entertainment have formed a wall-to-wall union at the Microsoft-owned studio.
The new unit is called World of Warcraft Game Makers Guild (WoWGG-CWA) and comprises the entire World of Warcraft development team, including designers, engineers, artists, quality assurance testers, and more. Another 60-person unit of Blizzard QA testers called Texas Blizzard QA United-CWA has formed simultaneously in Austin, Texas.
Staff were able to organize without interference thanks to a seismic Labor Neutrality Agreement that was struck in 2022. That agreement was subsequently extended to other Microsoft employees within ZeniMax, paving the way for almost 250 workers at Bethesda Game Studios to unionize earlier this week [July 2024].
The CWA said Blizzard's latest union represents a "significant milestone" in a journey that began when employees walked out and rallied at Blizzard Entertainment HQ in California in 2021 to protest Activision Blizzard's response to a California DFEH sexual harassment lawsuit.
"This victory underscores the growing momentum of worker organizing in the video game industry and will hopefully continue to inspire other video game workers to form unions and raise industry-wide expectations for pay, benefits and respect for workers’ rights," added the CWA.
Unionized Blizzard devs want to ensure "every voice matters"
Speaking to Game Developer about their decision to unionize, Blizzard senior software engineer Kevin Vigue said the unit hopes to make good on the company mantra "every voice matters."
"By forming a cross-disciplinary union, we seek to enshrine that value and ensure that the developers of World of Warcraft, QA included, will always have a voice in our own workplace," they said...
Vigue explained the World of Warcraft team was inspired by the unionization efforts at ZeniMax, Sega, and other studios that have made a collective push for better working conditions. Their resolve, he added, was only strengthened by the wave of the mass layoffs and studio closures that have carved through the game industry.
"We organized not just for ourselves, but also our fellow employees who make the game with us. By ensuring we're all treated fairly in our own workplace, we can focus ourselves on our shared passion: making great video games," they continued.
"Our union effort predates the recent layoffs, but witnessing them firsthand only served to solidify how important this effort is for the entire gaming industry. With our union contract, we can have a voice to minimize the impact of future layoffs and ensure we retain talent and knowledge whenever possible."
WoWGG-CWA will now elect a representative bargaining committee from the World of Warcraft team and survey its members to understand which issues need prioritizing. "While the team's voice will determine what we bargain for, we've also had numerous conversations with each other in the past few months," added Vigue. "We suspect our top bargaining items will include layoff protections, improved work from home policies, transparency around performance and promotions, and pay adjustments to align with the expensive areas we live."
Game industry unions building momentum in the United States
Workers have formed a number of unions within Activision Blizzard and Microsoft in recent years.
Prior to the Call of Duty and World of Warcraft maker being acquired by Microsoft, QA staff at Raven Software and Blizzard Albany succeeded in their attempts to organize–despite reports of interference. More than 300 QA workers at Bethesda also voted to unionize in January 2023, becoming the first union to form within Microsoft.
Those efforts have continued post-merger. In March 2024, roughly 600 QA workers at Activision Blizzard formed the largest certified union in U.S. video game history when they established AQAU-CWA. Bethesda Game Studios Montreal employees are also attempting to unionize and filed for certification with the Quebec Labor Board in June 2024. Now, almost 750 employees have unionized across Blizzard Entertainment and Bethesda in the past two days.
To learn more about the surge in unionization across the game industry, we sat down with union workers and insiders to discuss the power of collective action during a tumultuous period for studios and developers. Read the full story here.""
