Intro: You and Reigen have been together for a short time now, but you both have shown so much love and attraction towards another. However, slowly…you can feel his work getting the best of him.

Warnings: A bit of angst, arguing? Fluff ending

Reigen was absolutely mesmerized, from head to toe Reigen thought you were most beautiful person He’s ever met. Reigen introduced you to his tiny workforce that consisted of just Mob, Serizawa, and Dimple. You’ve grown fond of the small group and the tasks you would all go on together, Reigen himself would catch himself slacking on work just to simply look at you. On some occasions Dimple would have to snap him back to earth from day dreaming. You would usually visit Reigen after (insert job or college classes), and he would be welcoming and warm. Not even you could feel anything being off about him, but someone could.

Mob as been monitoring for awhile, he likes seeing Reigen happy. Seeing others enjoying themselves pleases Mob, because he knows he’s safe. Recently however Mob has noticed Reigen growing very slight eye bags and not communicating as often as he normally would, and he can see it reflect onto you.

Today was a new day, you come into the office taking a break from stress. “Oh hey y/n! H..how are you?” Serizawa was the first to look up at the door to see you walk in. You and Serizawa were very close, both of you were pretty timid most of the time and he can explain himself more better around you. You radiate a warm energy that Serizawa can feel himself in and it’s pleasing to everyone in the office. “Hi Serizawa, im okay.” He smiles back at you, everyone in the office knows your short answers are just normal. “Hi mob!” You walk past Mob and pet his head “Hi y/n!” He smiles with a small blush.

You and Mob were also close, Mob could talk to you about school and he can get help from certain subjects that you understood more than him. He sees you more as a big sister he’s never had, he can play video games with you and chat with you easily without feeling flustered or stammering every few seconds. You reach to Reigens desk, looking up and waving at Dimple, he waves back. Reigen looks up from his computer clearly tired, usually you being around would calm him and he would get more relaxed but he’s just pure tense this time. “Hi reigen..!” You say, almost as a whisper. You didn’t ever speak too loudly unless your around friends your comfortable with. He didn’t say anything back.

You decided not to bother and sat next to him seeing what he was doing on his computer, appears to be another psychic offer job. You pay no mind and rest your head on his shoulder “Y/n…im a little busy today. I don’t have time.” Mob, on the side of the room by Serizawa, listens. His ears perk up. You respond to Reigen “Don’t have time? For what?” Reigen clearly didn’t want to start anything so he said back “T..time for…you and your busy life.” Busy life? He just had no care for what you did at all today? Well i guess you could understand.

“But..Reigen i just think you should take a break as-well. You look very tired and i wanted to ask if you wanted to go out-.”

Reigen abruptly cuts you off

“Y/n.”

You freeze.

“Get off me.”

What?

“I said get off me.”

You get off looking at him more confused than before, “Reigen whats going on-.”

“Y/N! Please i cant hear your voice today. I have a throbbing headache. For once, just stop being so clingy.”

You pause. He thinks you’re clingy? Dimple steps in to stop this. “Reigen theres no reason to be so pushy…” He gravitates towards his ear and continues whispering “…your fumbling really badly here..” Reigen shooed dimple away. You stood up grabbing your things and making your way to the door, if he didn’t want to talk then so be it. Reigen isn’t a necessity in your life anyway. You exit the office room and walk down the hall before you hear the door open again. “Y/n!” Mob speed walks towards you.

“Im sorry, i should have said something. Master Reigen had a bad day and he didn’t-.” You leaned in giving Mob a hug. “It’s okay, I’ll be back later..” you don’t think you are.

Later that night you receive a message, from Reigen

Reigen: Im sorry.

Reigen: Please y/n i had a really rough day, i would never mean to call you clingy love.

Reigen: y/n..

You had to give in, he was your gosh darn boyfriend afterall

“I understand i made a mistake alright?!” Reigen bites at Mob, sounding more pissed than before. “Yes but master Reigen, y/n loves you more than anyone! I care about y/n as-well and i don’t think you should treat her that way, even if you’ve had a bad day.” Serizawa and Dimple step in to cover Mob because they don’t need him getting mad as-well on the job. “M..mob is right Reigen. I…i think you should apologize.” Dimple nods, agreeing with him. “Reigen do you understand how much people value her here? Another man greater than you could easily swoop her off her feet and take her away from you” Dimple scolds Reigen.

Reigen calms himself slowly agreeing with everyone. “I’ll text her and apologize.”

“I think you should go further.” Dimple adds

“I mean clearly apologizing isn’t enough, take her out somewhere or something to make up for it.” Reigen looks up at dimple. “You just want the food don’t you.” Dimple shrugs and floats away. Reigen picks up his phone and pounds your number, he didn’t know how he was going to do this

spider-man!jake x fem!reader; synopsis. university student and daily bugle intern jake sim does his best to juggle having two separate lives. unfortunately y/n, who also interns at the daily bugle, is obsessed with finding out who the popular vigilante ‘spider-man’ is. with their constant close proximity and jake’s new found crush, y/n is closer to figuring out his secret identity by the day.

jake couldn’t face you the next day and explained that he had to skip out on finishing the article so he could check up on riki. the two of you had plenty of time so he wasn’t compromising anything— well maybe your relationship.

you never replied after jake’s pathetic text and he felt mortified, barely getting any sleep as he stared up at his ceiling the whole night. between the two hours and sleep and excessive amount of sirens blaring outside his window, jake was a zombie throughout the whole school day.

but as he promised, he still hopped on the subway and trudged over to the upper east side to visit his friend.

as soon as the elevator door opened, jake froze. he forgot how insane the nishimura residence was. he hadn’t been there since he was about ten. when the two approached their teens, riki had wanted to hang out everywhere else but home. jake assumed it was because of riki’s issues with his father but he also had the sneaking suspicion that the younger boy felt bad about having jake over. riki hated to show off and the penthouse he lived in was way more luxurious than the flat jake grew up with in queens.

jake never minded, he always thought the place was cool anyways.

stepping into the giant living room, jake looked over to the tall windows, finding riki sitting in front of them. he smiled, knowing how much the boy liked to watch the city ever since he was little.

“riki…hey.” jake called out, walking over to him. the boy smiled, a genuine smile that made jake’s lips turn upward. he always had a soft spot for the younger boy, and seeing him happy made him happy.

“how are you feeling?” jake asked after a while, once the two had finished catching up. they were now sitting outside, enjoying the last of the nice weather before it got cold. jake concluded that the balcony was bigger than his whole apartment (he hadn’t remembered it that way), but it was cool to have a view of the whole city below.

“i’m great. never been better actually.” riki replied, his tone light. jake eyed him wearily, wondering what exactly his dad gave him. he didn’t want to be invasive and ask, but ultimately he was worried for his friend’s health.

“so um— what exactly did your dad do to cure you?” jake asked hesitantly, not being able to meet riki’s eyes. the younger boy laughed at his shyness and shook his head.

“jake, you’re my best friend, you don’t have to be afraid to ask me stuff. but uhm, my dad and his team at muracorp had been studying something otherworldly. they had been studying it for years, doing some trials and figuring out what its use could be for.” riki began to explain, making jake’s eyebrows shoot upwards when he said ‘otherworldly’.

“i’m sorry— as in not from earth? something alien?” he asked in disbelief.

“yeah, definitely alien. one of team members tested it, but it didn’t seem as attracted to him. the alien attaches itself to people, but it has to want to. although with the short time that it was attached, it made the guy stronger and faster and overall just better. it improved his health significantly even though he is perfectly healthy. they concluded that it could be a cure so my dad asked me if i wanted to try. i was a bit hesitant at first, but im glad i did.” riki replied, a small smile on his face.

jake was at a loss for words, his head starting to hurt a bit. his spider sense began to tingle, but he wasn’t sure why. jake had many false alarms before due to anxiety, but this felt different.

“is it safe…?” jake asked, his form becoming rigid. he suddenly noticed the black goo crawling up riki’s arms which explained the reason for his spider sense going off. jake backed up a bit when he noticed it extending towards him, feeling a sense of danger.

“it’s ok, jake. my dad personally tested the symbiote for years. he made sure it was safe enough. it seems to like me too, apparently the last guy who tested it became a little violent. my dad felt weary because of that, but there haven’t been any issues.” riki replied, turning the black goo into an arm and extending it into the air. jake jumped back in surprise, watching his friend curiously.

“so, you were that hero at coney island the other night?” jake asked, wanting to confirm his suspicions. riki nodded with a smile on his face, looking as proud as ever.

“yup, that was me. i’m sure our friendly neighborhood spider-man gets tired sometimes, i wanted to help my friend out.” riki shrugged. jake froze, his mouth drying up.

“oh…um…you know spider-man?” he asked dumbly, already knowing that he had been caught.

“dude, it’s okay. i found out before i left.” riki scoffed, patting his friend on the shoulder reassuringly. jake jumped in surprise once again before he noticed that the goo was gone. the alien was giving him a feeling that he did not like.

“was i too obvious?” he groaned, feeling slightly embarrassed.

“kind of…you’ve definitely gotten better over the years. but i also did a lot of investing. sorry bro, i just wanted to know where you ran off to all the time.” riki said, making jake smile. even though he often kept his secret for safety reasons, it was nice to have his best friends in on it.

“what do you think about us saving the city together?” riki asked timidly, playing with the rings on his hands as he awaited jake’s response.

the older boy pondered the question for a few seconds, not wanting to put riki in danger. but it seemed as if he could handle himself, especially with the symbiote attached to him.

the city was getting a bit harder to handle on his own anyways, it would be nice to have a friend tag along.

“alright…i’m down.”

• Like what I mentioned in one of the headcanons, you work for Katahara. While Agito doesn't directly work for him apart from beint his representative fighter, he's technically his family AND The Fang.

• However, you two hardly see eachother when on the job. BUT-

• You two visit the same coffee shop. He loves his morning Latte, and you love (insert your favorite Cafe drink here)

• When you first started working, you were surprised to see the Kanoh Agito at a small coffee shop.

• He usually greets and addresses you formally, not interested in any small talk.

• "Sheesh, what a stick in the mud" It's not that he was trying to be rude, but he did come off a little condescending when he greeted you. (He has tone issues)

• One day you woke up late and didn't have time to stop and get your usual.

• He notices your absence. "They can't be sick, they showed no signs of it two days ago"

• Long story short, he picks up your order and goes looking for you. Once he finds you, he stiffly hands it to you. "You were late I presume. I picked this up for you"

• Everyone in the room was shocked. The cold hearted Fang buying someone a drink? You smiled warmly and looked into his eyes "Thank you, this was very kind of you"

• His breathing hitched, and he felt speechless. Was he....flustered? "Don't let it happen again, you work for the Chairman afterall"

• You obviously didn't let it happen again....buuuttt it was super sweet how he seemed to care about you enough to get you something.

• To return the favor, you arrived earlier and got him his Latte. Listen, he was speechless before, now he was in shock. He didn't show it though. In his lifetime no one had ever bought him anything or returned a favor. There was a first time for everything.

• You saw through his attempt to hide the baffled expression on his face. It was kinda- cute.

• "Why have you done this?" "Why not? I'm just repaying you" "I-" "Shush, just take the drink, it's burning my hand"

• He has to get there before you now to ensure that he sees you. He's a bit friendlier with the greetings, too. Don't expect a smile though, just a softer glance in your direction.

• When he was around you, he didn't feel like he needed to be The Fang of Metsudo. You didn't hold him to any higher standard when you chatted, you didn't bother holding back a few curses. He felt as if his soul was on Earth instead of hanging in the balance.

• On one of your off days, the two of you get coffee and sit down for once. Finally having a slower paced discussion. It lasted a few hours, you did most of the talking while he had a response to almost anything. There was a lot he didn't know about pop culture.

• Coffee dates became your thing, even though it wasn't technically a date. More like two friends hanging out. Discussions got into deeper topics like pasts and whatnot.

• Agito decided that he could trust you, so he opened up about the Human Gu Ritual. He didn't know what trauma was, so you explained to him that his feelings and memories about that time in his life would be very traumatic.

• "I'm glad you could tell me that, but are you okay? If I had something like that on my chest I'd cry" "I'm quite alright, I'm not fazed in the slightest but I had no idea the caliber of the topic. I hope I didn't ruin the conversation"

• You tapped your cheek and sighed. "Have you ever been hugged before?" Agito thought for a second. The embracing gesture? The only physical contact he's hand was a pat on the shoulder or when he's fighting.

• "No, I don't think I have" "Well today's your lucky day, bring it in"

• He froze as you wrapped your arms around his waist, pulling him into you. His heartbeat raced as he thought of what to do. "Just tell me if you don't like it" you squeezed him gently. He awkwardly put his hand behind your back and rested it there.

• You let go after a few seconds, but he didn't want you to. "How was it?" You smiled.

• "I'm not sure" He smoothed out his suit, trying to relax himself after what just happened.

• A few days passed and you haven't seen him anywhere. He wasn't at work or at the coffee shop. You start to worry. Did you drive him away? Was the hug too much? Oh god was he dead?

• All the while Agito was keeping an eye on you from afar. Not letting you see him, but he could see you. He felt very fragile after that day, he almost felt ashamed. He wasn't good at managing his emotions. And what happened moved him in a way that frightened him.

• He summons the courage to talk to Katahara Metsudo about how he felt. He was the only parental figure he had in a sense.

• "You are a grown man. Is this really a difficult concept to grasp?" Katahara looked out the window of his office. "I'm inexperienced, these feelings are foreign to me"

• 'He's not referring to himself as we and us anymore, this must be serious' Katahara turned around. "To put it simply" he laughed "Tell (Reader) everything you told me"

• "I have a strong regard for you" Agito came clean. You know how I said there was a first time for everything? Well he had a hint of red on his cheeks. This beast of a man, blushing? Utterly adorable

• "So you're saying you love me?" That's the word. Love. He nodded. "Well. Say it then. There's nothing holding you back"

• He pauses for a moment, he's not exactly fond of eye contact. But this was for (Reader)

• "I love you"

• You wrap your arms around his waist again. "That's all I needed to hear"

• His lips curled into a smile as he looked down at you. You parted from the hug and tilted your head to the side. "Wanna go out to a restaurant sometime?"

• "Are you asking me out on...what is it that they call it...a date?" "Yes" you stated bluntly. Beating around the bush or teasing wouldn't get far in this situation.

• "We can talk about plans later, I have important matters to attend to" he look your hand and grazed his lips on you knuckles. Planting a small kiss on it.

• "Now where did you learn that?" "It's a romantic gesture they do on television" you bite your lip from calling him a dork.

• "I'll meet with you later about this date. Until we see eachother again" He leaves, and you're alone again.

• Man, you're already falling for him. It's not like you'd hate dating him. But you didn't want to be head over heels just yet. You looked at your knuckles and sighed "Ah what the hell, being love isn't that bad"

Guys something happened and im back on my she ra nonsense. Help all my recent tabs are tma fanfic i need to go deep in my bookmarks to pull out the she ra stuff and follow a ton of she ra posters bc its been like two years since i was substantially aware of she ra BUT THE HYPERFIX IS COMING BACK I CAN FEEL IT AAAAGH

Its 12:44 am and i’m going to write all my thoughts and theories and you are going to enjoy them

1. Beast island is actually sentient and the reason it makes that signal is because it’s achingly lonely and doesn’t want its new friends (anyone who comes to the island) to leave. Little does it know it’s forcing its depression upon everyone that visits

2. Etheria and Eternia are actually twin planets, the First Ones are humans, and Eternia is far-future Earth (idk, Earth got a neighbour and then we colonized it? Sure sounds like humans to me). This explains why the First Ones’ language is made up of English phonemes and includes English words, and why Adora looks human.

3. Horde Prime used to be an Eternian, a very long time ago. His current form is the result of hundreds of years of incredibly vain genetic engineering and experimenting. He still isn’t fully pleased with his appearance and tweaks his clones every generation in an attempt to find “purity”.

4. Hordak’s “defect” is a result of this tweaking. Imagine inbreeding, except it’s one guy who keeps turning random genes on and off and switching out base pairs to see if it’ll make him prettier. Turns out there were some nasty genetic surprises in Hordak’s version of the code. As with any other clone that had such genetic conditions, Prime tossed him out in the next major fleet movement without running any analyses first. Running an analysis would force him to confront the fact that he (gasp) made an error!

5. The “general” thing wasn’t actually complete bs. Prime threatening to take Catra’s body as his own, was. See, Prime really wants to be this one perfect thing. Why would he waste time being a cat when he could be perfect? He has a special line of “generals” whose sole purpose is to house his mind. They have two additional eyes, the ability to grow those weird chin/cheek spikes, and the capacity to be much taller (all hidden unless he gives them specific hormones in preparation for inhabiting them). All this to say: Hordak might just wake up with four eyes open one day and promptly freak himself (and everyone else) out.

6. Entrapta has been in the center of a lot of explosions (esepcially when she was a teenager and hadn’t figured out the right balance of “pursue knowledge” to “lab safety” yet) and has replaced a startling amount of her body with prosthetics covered in a synthetic skin.

7. Hordak’s body wasn’t repaired by Prime in season 5. Prime just injected him with a bunch of painkillers (not enough to not be in pain, but enough to function) and covered up the arm holes. About an hour after the finale, the painkillers wear off and Hordak all but collapses. Having a chronic muscle/joint condition + being electrocuted + being possessed hurts. Man, he really went through it, didn’t he?

8. Based on Wrong Hordak, it’s going to be… really hard for the clones to get used to being outside of the hivemind. They will form cults. They will make new pieces of technology that will mimic the hivemind. They’ll scrounge for the chips and try to implant them in each other. They will find and beg (or threaten) Entrapta and Hordak to put back the hivemind. Hopefully people will have enough compassion for them to help them get used to being individuals.

9. All Eternians have the capacity to activate the Sword of Protection and become She-Ra (or gender-correlated equivalent). Horde Prime is, initially, Eternian, based on the other headcanons here, so he hypothetically could. Any clone could. Hordak could.

Wow! I forgot about some of these headcanons! This was pretty neat. Hope you guys like em too. Also I haven’t watched canon in like a year so there might be some inaccuracies, but at some point I figured that holding onto the thoughts until I rewatched canon just wasn’t worth it. And lo and behold now you can see all my random thoughts too!

STAR TREK UPDATE TIME. on time for once. last night we did ds9's "homefront" and "paradise lost." im sticking them together since they're essentially a two-parter:

main issue w these episodes is the Message...which is that paranoia bad. and i do agree with that. i think we're talking like more red scare than anything but every time someone said "we can't let fear rule our lives" all i heard was my mom explaining to me why we absolutely needed to start going back out to restaurants in summer of 2020.

it also sort of clashes w sisko's "the problem is earth" speech. like, the idea that because things are SO perfect on earth the people there don't know how to deal with adversity because they've never had to. so the first half of this storyline painted them as bumbling idiots for not realizing the threat was real and yes some lifestyle changes had to be made but the second half of this episode was like sisko you're an IDIOT for falling for this trap you let your own paranoia do the work for you! and i guess that's the "twist" but it also feels like they're trying to have it both ways

some of what ds9 does pretty well is deconstruct the idea of starfleet and the federation as a utopia...these episodes seemed to scoff at that notion, like, of COURSE utopia is real, and you guys with you "war" and you "real problems" almost ruined it!!

like, sorry, but odo's right. there literally is still at least one changeling on earth. are we doing fuck all about that or what. no you can't blood test everybody and jump at shadows but ???

b plot: i like grandpa jope, but he scared me. he showed up and he was sick and i had to pause the episode to make sure he didn't die. i would have stopped dead in the middle

he reminds me of my own mom, who also doesn't <3 take care of herself. but you can see so much of sisko in him and it's easy to understand where sisko got so much of his personality

i wish we had gotten to meet sisko's sister! seemed weird that if you can beam to anywhere instantly she wouldn't come for a visit when he is on earth so rarely :(

ALSO HI NOG. i love that he became a regular here just because he knew the owner's grandson and now this guy has to prepare bugs for him even though this isn't that kind of joint.

Helena Wayne I - back in the day dc was like "(eyebrow raising emoji) our ww2 veteran guys are getting kinda...Old...." so they more or less split the Ye Olde versions of the characters out into their own earth so A) they could continue having their lives and times in the retirement home dimension while DC could have Newer Fresher stuff to play with in the "main" universe--and B) it'd explain how the legacy guys could still exist and show up in current stuff alongside newer incarnations of the same ideas. the DC Classics realm (home of the golden age) and the DC New Shit realm (home of the silver age) if you will

CRUCIALLY HOWEVER Earth 2 is under siege by planet fucking apokolips and you can't just freely hop between the realms from any ol teleporter. so when helena II and her government assigned kara get thrown out of their home earth they can't just go back. in this version they're stuck on the other earth together as the only two bitches from their earth. and navigating that + figuring out how the fuck to get back to "Earth 2" (which last they saw was on fire and exploding due to apocalypse war) occupies the bulk of their initial run. their storyline gets way less good once they figure it out and go home but that's how these things tend to go isnt it

anyway in this incarnation, she's Robin first! then catwoman dies (doomed to go first i guess) and a bit later batman explodes during the apocalypse war thing. once she gets stranded helena II picks up the Huntress Thing. so she is also OFFICIALLY ORPHANED 🗣

she calls the other (younger) batman "not-dad" which is a little less cute but she also off-hand mentions that superman was her godfather which raised a few questions for me personally. did clark kent present you at baptism or is he just like your Secular Godfather

as you can see this is overtly the version CTDE Helena is borrowing material from (trapped in a realm with helena wayne!!) but technically yes both I and II are from a "different" earth, just, one has free travel and is chill while the other one doesnt and is exploding, MDSHJBGFS

Helena Wayne III - time traveler. as far as i know she's probably from the same earth, just the future? i'm gonna be real i'm not as versed in her material (and there isn't a lot of it atm either). but the future she comes from doesn't exist anymore due to her actions, so she IS stranded / doesn't have a place to go back to. she IS a continuity anomaly who "shouldn't exist" but i THINK she only traveled through time and not dimensions. MAYBE. i DONT KNOW IF THATS TRUE

anyway her batman got murdered before she left. i think catwoman was still alive im not actually sure? but anyway this helena's future ceased to exist, so is that technically being orphaned? shes Existentially Orphaned. the Timeline That Created Her is dead. anyway she calls batman "dad" :)

Something that absolutely kills me every time I see it come up in fanfictions is the losers referring to each other as brothers/sisters. Like "Of course I'll be your best man. What are brothers for?" Or like "Yes, I can stay in this hospital after visiting hours, I'm his sister." I like it and I think it's cute and good every time

IF you'd like to get ouchie about it however I do also imagine that there are times in the 27 years when the losers will be asked if they have any siblings and they'll go "Yeah I've got a sister and a couple brothers" and then they'll pause and go "Uh. No I don't. I'm an only child. I don't know... I don't know why I said that"

SCREAMS i both love this idea so so much but it also breaks my heart so bad………

like on one hand i love to imagine after the ch2 battle when eddie’s in the hospital, obviously none of them want to leave eddie’s side but when visiting hours come to a close the nurse tries to tell them to leave, but they’re like “actually we’re all his siblings.”

and ofc the nurse just stares at them like. “all 6 of you are his siblings?” (6 bc stan is there too obviously nothing bad happens to stan!)

and they’re all like “yes of course we are!” and richie starts going on this long dramatic tangent of “how it’s actually incredibly disrespectful that this hospital would turn away grieving family from staying with eddie, when we don’t even know if he’ll ever wake up, these could be our dear eddie’s final moments on earth and we aren’t even allowed to see him-”

eventually the nurse realizes that dealing with them is more hassle than it’s worth and allows them to stay, and so all 6 of them are squeezed into eddie’s tiny room while they wait for him to wake up.

and finally when eddie DOES wake up, the first thing he sees is a nurse (different one than before). eddie’s still trying to process what’s going on, just barely hearing what the nurse is saying to him, and he manages to catch her say “…you’re so lucky, to have such wonderful siblings who stayed right by your side the entire time.”

eddie is obviously confused, he’s about to explain that he doesn’t have any siblings…… until he looks over to the side and sees none other than the losers club sitting at his bedside, and it all makes sense.

but also,,,,,, what you said about them during the 27 years 😭 THAT HURTS SO BAD !!!! like im imagining richie at college talking to some friends and he’s telling them this story about his “brother”, but then when his friends ask him about his brother (how old he is, what his name is, etc), richie realizes…….. he doesn’t have a brother. he can’t even really picture the person he was talking about, he can’t quite remember the person’s face or his name, and yet….. richie very distinctly remembers considering that person a brother to him. richie just ends up making up some imaginary brother to tell his friends and quickly changes the subject, but it almost…. haunts him, how he has such strong feelings about this person, (or, as he starts to think a little harder about it… these people, he’s sure that there were more of them) and yet he can’t remember at all who they are.

or even bill, of course he remembers georgie, but imagine one time he’s telling someone about his brother, and he just says, “yes so my little brother eddie-” and he just. pauses for a second. before quickly correcting himself like “sorry no, my brother’s name is georgie, i don’t know where eddie came from…” but then he thinks long and hard how on earth he accidentally said “eddie” instead of “georgie”. bill doesn’t even think he knows anyone named eddie, so… where did that name come from? and why did he think that that person was his brother?

but also, imagining mike still in derry, if people ever ask him if he has siblings, he will say purposefully, and with a big smile, “yes, i have five brothers and a sister. they all live across the country, and i haven’t seen them in a few years- but i still love them all very much.”

once i rated doctor who series 11 episodes and said what i thought and i said i might do that with other series as well and as im currently on series 4 on my rewatch, i think it's time for series 1 ranking. btw im a very positive person and im NOT a storyteller (tho i want to be) and my rating is like 90% based on Vibes and all this leads to me going 'I LOVE THIS!!' like 98% of the time lol jajfjk

but! lets begin my ranking of series 1 👍

1. the empty child/the doctor dances (1x9-10): im sure everyone knows why this is my favourite story. i LOVE it, we get jack harkness, we get doctor who horror, it's such a good story and im sure we all know that so i won't elaborate further

2. dalek (1x6) this episode is so good, i LOVE the scene with 9 and the dalek y'all know what i'm talking about, christopher eccleston slayed i love that scene so much, i adore rose too, this episode has some of my favourite rose moments, the way she was so kind and compassionate in the best way, i LOVED it, could talk so long about how great rose was in this does someone want to talk about that?? anyway my introduction to daleks and it works very well

3. the end of the world (1x2) i really like this story too, i love jabe and i was so sad when she died :( and cassandra is iconic ofc, i liked how rose talked with the plumber, i really like that moment guys. i loved the atmosphere and everything, just a really good episode imo

4. bad wolf/the parting of the ways (1x12-13) this is such a good finale, i loved nine's regeneration scene so much it's perfect, i like that we visit the same place we did in 1x7, and the side characters are good, the plot is good, what more can you ask for, really? i loved the scene on earth with rose and mickey and jackie when rose tries to explain why travelling with the doctor is so great, i loved billie piper's acting in that scene

5. boom town (1x11) i LOVED the scene with nine and margaret the slitheen dining, and i'm so happy mickey finally told rose that how she's treating him is unfair bcs it totally was!! i really like mickey and the way rose treated him made me so angry, like girl break up with him if you don't like him?? so yeah, im glad mickey got to say what he has to say. also the scene where jack, nine, rose and mickey are having chips is short but great and i'd 100% watch 45 minutes of them just having chips and talking i loved the domesticity so much

6. rose (1x1) i like the introduction to rose, the opening montage is great imo, i like the set design too, it feels very real, idk a really good way to introduce us to both rose and the doctor

7. the long game (1x7) i liked the side characters in this (except adam, he was annoying and also stupid af like girl no?? are you actually so stupid??) anyway, i liked the story and the characters except for adam 👍

8. aliens of london/world war three (1x4-5) i like this story, but it's not the best you know. i love harriet jones she's great and i enjoyed having mickey and jackie there and tbh on my first watch this is what got me going like "i think i'm gonna like this", not sure why, but i do like the plot. it definitely had some great moments and i like this story!!

9. father's day (1x8) ahhh i'm not the biggest fan of this episode tbh, i definitely liked it more on a rewatch but i'm still not the biggest fan. it's good, don't get me wrong, i enjoyed rose and her dad and it was a beautiful episode, but something didn't click idk. i think it might just be that i didn't like how rose saved her dad, i understand her, i would do the same, but somehow it still annoyed me a bit?

10. the unquiet dead (1x3) im not a fan of this episode personally. idk it had some fun moments but i'm just not a fan, sorry unquiet dead fans. to me personally it's just a bit boring and i didn't really get into the story, not even sure why. maybe it's the fact that i haven't read any dickens and having him there just doesn't work for me because of that? i dont know

•Scales really like their wings, bit they don't like the attention they get when they show them

•BB had a bike that was destroyed when they got captured, fangs got them a new one when they found out, BB almost cried

•fangs spent most their time before getting sent to earth (i really should check my lore info,but yk what i mean ) painting, they have a room where they paint and another where they store their paintings on top of their house-qualified room in the castle

•fangs visits their dead uncle's grave alot

•fangs genuinely didn't tell sasha about who they actually are just because it never came in a conversation

•BB was forced to be a vegetarian since they were young, and after that the taste of meat would always make them throw up so they sticked to it

•the reason why scales was in a low point in their life when they were abducted, is that injury they got in their leg that forbided them from dancing, dancing means alot to them

•^scales had very under-developed vocal cords before everything, so they resorted to dancing to express their feelings

•BB smokes, alot, so does Eve, their version of chilling at night is getting high, eve becomes all mushy and cuddly, BB gets really hungry, so imagine BB in the kitchen with eve koala Hugging them

•despite reading old books in their mystery nights, fangs really enjoys new-ish books, the ones people talk about in instagram and tiktok

•speaking of Instagram and tiktok, fangs can not use them,yes they have the newest phones, but no,they barely know how to call using it , it was until BB explained it to them that they were able to snoop around

•after being done with the process, fangs and BB killed sasha's ex, no one knows about it expect scales, whose cool with it and wishes they were there

•fangs can't cook, but they bake, their quick microwave cakes are to die for

•BB worked as a bartender for sometime, you wanna a cool drink? Ask them

•scales knows how to tattoo, never actually took it as a job, but it's in their back pocket

•fangs has a french accent, it used to annoy BB

•BB was turned by an ex of theirs after they broke up, thinking they killed BB they ran away, that didn't last since BB had them for dinner that night

helloooooo! so I had this idea in my head, and im not sure if it's worth pursuing! if yall could just tell me if this is something that you or somebody you know would be interested in, please lmk! also, not mean critiques are welcome! without further ado, here it is!!

Anastasia. How does one explain her? Simple; happy. She had been on this earth for thousands of years and has grown to love almost all of it. Now, as she pours her cup of tea which is always the perfect temperature, she thinks about what she will do that day. Maybe pop on down to the farmers market, or better yet, go visit an art gallery. As she decides what to do with her day, she takes a sip of her tea. A simple gesture, really. One thousands of people do in the morning. But when she does, it burns her mouth. She practically throws the cup down out of shock, effectively spilling the tea she had just made. Strange. Her tea has never burned her mouth. She quickly grabs paper towels to mop up her mess as she tries to recall the last time she had this experience. She soon realized this was the first time something even slightly like this had happened. She looks at her phone.

What? She checks again. The same numbers show as she quickly gets up and runs to her bathroom. She’s going to be late. She is never late. Time has never been an issue, it always seems to work out in her favor, she didn’t even think to check the time! She hurriedly gets ready and puts on her signature red lipstick. Humans have made many marvelous things, but this seems to be her favorite. She applies it quickly and practically runs out the door when she is done. 

She gets in her car and reaches in her bag for her keys. Dammit! She thinks she left them inside. Three incidents, back to back, that have never occurred before. Now, to a simple human one could chalk it up to a bad day, but Anastasia is not a simple human. She is the embodiment of good, of light, simply living amongst mortals. She grabs her keys from inside and dashes back out to her car. As she’s driving, she turns on the radio. Her favorite song is playing. Finally, something is going right. She thinks as she hums along. Anastasia’s thoughts start to drift to the events of the morning. She can’t recall any of these things happening in her lengthy existence. She pulls up to her favorite cafe and parks perfectly, flowers starting to bloom in the cracks that she walks over when she exits her vehicle. As she walks in, she pulls out her phone and dials the number of somebody who she dreads calling, and Anastasia dreads very few things.

Samael. One would not struggle to describe him, he is simply: dreadful. He has existed beside Anastasia since the dawn of time. He is her opponent, the pure embodiment of evil, of bad, of death. 

Currently, he has been in a deep sleep for the past week. A pro of being immortal: you don’t need to eat. He loves to, sure, but something about sleep is just so good. Sam is very displeased (which isn't unusual) when he is awoken by the ringtone of his phone. Sam goes from displeased to confused very quickly, as he had set his phone to silent. The fog of sleep starts to disappear from his mind as he realizes his phone only overrides his silencing for one person: Annie. He quickly reaches for his phone and momentarily pats himself on the back for his correct guess before answering it,

“What’s wrong?” He asks urgently, not letting her get a word in trying to disguise whatever that is happening as good. She scoffs, “You know, why can’t you ever just assume something is good? Maybe I’m calling to let you know something amazing just happened.” She teases, voice dripping in disdain. 

He groans. He really isn’t in the mood for her to pretend like everything is okay when it clearly is not. “Because you only call me if something is wrong, and I have a busy day and don’t want to deal with your blabbering about the ‘greater good’” He mocks her tone when he quotes one of their many debates. She sighs, “Okay, fine. You win.” She pauses. He pauses. Anastasia is many things, but she has never been one to admit defeat. Even in such a silly manner, both pause at the sentence before she speaks again, “Er- Sorry. I don’t know why I said that, for you would never win. But, I’m calling to see if anything has been right with you- like in the way something would be wrong for me.” She asks, her voice suddenly becoming muffled as she walks into the cafe. 

He thinks, has it? He had good dreams, but that had never been out of the ordinary, “What do you mean dove?” Has something happened to her? She has never asked anything like this, and she usually doesn’t sound so tired. He bites back the urge to ask if she’s okay because he knows deep down that if she wasn’t, she would come to him. They always have. Being the only two immortal beings tends to build a bond neither of them could resist.  She sits down at her table with an audible thud. “Never mind, go back to sleep, Sam. I’ll call you later, be safe.” She hangs up the phone before he could retort at her caring remark. Which is exactly what he was doing before he realized she had hung up, leaving him sitting in his bed, talking to nobody. He thinks about the conversation and is left with the question, How did she know I just woke up? Even when his questions should be more along the lines of, Should I go check on her?

9.5/10, technically a lot happened but it also felt like nothing happened, so half a point off. I liked it though, the writing is holding up so far, everyone's mostly in character- aside from sandstorm's flip-flopping- and the fire scenes were brutal. Not necessarily my favourite so far, but high up

So, I got my testing done at UMBC's ~psychology training clinic.~ This was a few years ago, so their policies and whatnot may have changed, but when I went, I believe they mentioned that you don't actually have to be affiliated with umbc at all in order to use their services, which included adhd and learning disability testing, therapy and counseling, annnd probably a bunch of other stuff that wasn't relevant to me.

As for the pricing, since they're a training clinic, they didn't accept insurance, but they did charge based on a ~sliding scale~ with your income. My parents paid for my testing, and with their combined income, which I guess fell into the category of Middle Middle Class or whatever, it came out to about 700 bucks (WHICH WAS EXTRA IRRITATING BECAUSE IF THEY'D GOTTEN ME TESTED IN ELEMENTARY OR MIDDLE OR HIGH SCHOOL LIKE I ASKED, THE TESTING WOULD HAVE BEEN FREEEEEEEEEEE but anyway).

I should also note that I didn't actually go there for adhd testing?? I went for dyscalculia testing lmao but apparently the learning disability testing and the adhd testing had enough overlap that they were able to confidently diagnose both issues???

The first part of the process was basically an ~intake meeting~ or something, I guess, where I filled out some questionnaires, and then I was introduced to the trainee who'd be testing me, the more advanced trainee who'd be assisting her, and the supervisor who'd be breathing down both their necks the whole time to make sure they didn't fuck up lmaooo. My parents were also at the meeting, and we all answered a bunch more questions about my academic history, my behavioral patterns, etc. I don't remember exactly how long this meeting was, but I'd guess at least an hour.

The next part of the process was the actual testing, which took place over uhhhhh 2 or 3 separate visits that were each 3ish hours long. It was kinda grueling, ngl, but not because it was ~difficult~ or anything. Just very tedious and time consuming.

They tested across a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide range of subjects and abilities, so like, just because it was primarily for dyscalculia didn't mean they didn't also test reading and language skills, verbal and written expression, comprehension, spelling, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, general knowledge shit about history and science and whatnot. I remember one of the questions was "how long does it take for light from the sun to reach the earth" lmaoooo and I said 7 and a half minutes but i was wrooooooong it was 8 and a half. 😢

I think there was also part of the test where I had to like... configure a bunch of geometric blocks to match various shapes they showed me??

I can't really remember the entire scope of questions/activities that it all entailed since it was SOOOOOOOOO expansive, but suffice it to say that it was EXTREMELY thorough. they did not leave one single stone unturned omggg.

So after that, the last part of the process was the meeting where they explained the results. the document was hellaaaaaa long, like 15 pages or something, and had detailed breakdowns of my scores in all the different areas, along with lil graphs/tables/whatever that showed how those scores compared to the general population, and where those scores ranked on a scale of ~severely impaired~ to ~superior.~ what was so fuckinnnn wild was that for literally almost EVERYTHING that wasn't a mathy subject, I scored in the ~superior~ range, while EEEVERYTHING that was mathy had ~severely impaired~ scores lmaoooOOOO randi im literalllly a bona fide genius and a bona fide idiot all at once.

But yeah so, they explained what it all meant and how they did the scoring and blah blah blah, and basically confirmed that my dyscalculia is SHOCKINGLY BAD lmfao like, the supervisor lady was STUNNED by how bad. and then she whipped out the ADHD as like a Surprise Bonus Diagnosis lmaoooo. I remember she'd mentioned it in the intake meeting, that some of what I was describing to her sounded like ADHD, but I was noooooooooooot expecting to actually get a diagnosis on it one way or the other, and at first I didn't even really take it seriously, but then as she started explaining what ADHD actually even is, I was like

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. and it was like whiplash how hard it hit me because I had NO IDEAAAAAAA that many of the life skills that I struggle with were associated with an Actual Thing.

But anyway! At the last meeting, they alsooooooooooo explained a bunch of possible treatment options, or just, things I could do that might help me be more successful in school/life in spite of the deficits I had, and one of the things they recommended was a ~smart pen~ that would record audio while you take notes in class, and then afterwards if you wanna listen back to what was being said in class while you were writing a particular thing down, you can touch the pen to the spot where you wrote it on, and it'll play back the audio from that moment! 🤯 which, i never actually got a smart pen, and i know thats prolly not relevant to anything that might be useful for you lmao but im just mentioning it bc i thought it was such a fucking cool concept like woooooooooow.

Annnnd then after I had all the paperwork confirming my diagnoses, I was able to get my math requirements waived so i could graduate without a math credit lololol and that was that. cost 700 fucking extra dollars to finish college, booooooo.

but honestlyyyyyy it was SO worth it, and at the very least i would hellaaaaa high key recommend, if ya feel like it, that you at least see if you can find out how much it would cost you with the sliding scale, and/or considering it for a second opinion if you do get tested somewhere and don't feel confident in the process or the results.

obviouslyyyy i can't really compare it to the experience i might have had if i'd gone through a regular psychological services provider through insurance or whatever, but i have a strong feeling that it wouldn't have been neeeeeeeeeearly as thorough, and i wouldn't have felt nearly as attended to. 10/10 for umbc psychology training clinic. would definitely recommend.

AUGGGG ok now i have to talk abt. locations oh boy (under the cut cuz it's long lol)

uhhhhy first up is skylight <3 it's where the gods reside in this universe, a lot like olympus from greek myth :) it's kinda hard to describe how it looks because there's just. so much. that could be said about it i think. some parts of it closely resemble earth and human cities (but more expansive) but other parts of it are just so weird and ethereal... like paths that run in paradoxical loops, buildings that are bigger on the inside, seas that melt into the sky if you swim down deep enough, stairways that stretch into space and give you magificent views of the stars, just. any kind of impossible structures you can imagine

the cities themselves vary wildly based on the level they're on (tldr gods are divided into "ranks" based on how fundamental their role in the universe is, and there's a bunch of cutural differences between each rank. all gods live on a level that pertains to their rank, but they are free to move between them and visit any one they like) but like. higher level cities are based on places like rome and are generally filled with lights and people walking and talking and enjoying their company, while mid and lower level cities are like suburbs n such and generally have much tighter communities <3 and some gods don't follow this system at all and live off by themselves in the more remote areas of skylight, like by the seas or stars!! (swift and python are examples of this, though they're also the only gods of their rank so)

again, it's kinda hard to go into detail cuz there's just so much to describe but if you want an idea of what it looks like go to the worldbuilding tag and look at the posts tagged as skylight <3

and the other place is purity's garden!! it's located on earth and is the magical center of the planet :] this is gonna be really difficult to explain though so bear with me sjfhdjdj

so it's absolutely a place on earth but you can't travel to it by land or by sea. the only way to get there is by a number of different portals scattered all around earth. said portals often blend into their surroundings, though, so in the olden days, they would be well-marked and typically have communities surrounding them, as well.

anyways, like i said earlier, it's the magical center of earth, and what that means is that like. earth has natural energy that flows in and out of it constantly. it's the reason why plants grow, humans/animals are born, etc. and purity's garden is where that energy flow is the absolute strongest, you can actually physically feel it all around you. when any human goes there, they can feel a newfound strength coursing through them, physically, mentally, and magically.

back when magic was prevalent in human society, purity's garden was used as a hub for anyone who wanted to develop their magical talents, find others with skills similar to theirs, study magic in action, basically anything magic-related was often done there. it could also be used as somewhat of a teleporter, as you could enter purity's garden through one portal and leave it through a completely different one, letting anyone access any corner of the world.

nowadays, it's been long since forgotten by humans, and the towns surrounding them have become regular towns, but the one person who still uses it is, ironically, swift. i say ironically because she usually rejects anything and everything related to humans, but really, anything there built by humans has long since been reclaimed by the definitely not alive landscape. but sky spends a lot of time there because even gods can benefit from the energy that still flows in it. it clears their headaches and physically strengthens her and such, and eventually sky gets so weak that they have to be there 24/7 so she doesn't collapse whenever they try to take a step but let's not worry about that !!

terrain-wise, like skylight a lot of things in it look very bizarre to both us and the humans in-universe, but unlike skylight there's no buildings or civilization to be found (in the present day that is. in the past there were likely inns and shops for people to use, but like i said, they were reclaimed by the forest). you'd expect it to be an island of some sorts because it's not connected to any other landmass, but in actuality, it goes on forever, without ending. you will never find its coastline, all you'll find is more nature. as such, the landscape of purity's garden is infinitely diverse. when the main characters find it, they mostly spend time in ome of its forests, the one that all of the portals to and from earth lead to. it's one of the more quaint locations, but even then, the trees appear to extend infinitely tall, there's hills and valleys all throughout, and overall it's just not a typical forest (but that doesn't stop it from being beautiful). other than that forest, there's other kind of forests with low, winding, twisty trees, where it always seems dark no matter what time of day it is, as well as mountains, lakes, caves, swamps, deserts, tundras, and so much more. again, there's no limit to the places you can find there

i'll end by saying that it's basically the perfect middle ground between earth and skylight. it's just as, if not more so, diverse as earth, while having the ethereal and otherworldly elements of skylight. it feels deeply lived in, even without any buildings there, and (n this is something i touch on in an earlier ask but i won't make anyone go and find it) its beauty feels much more authentic than earth and even skylight's is. not that none of skylight's locations feel natural, they often do, but all of them feel at least somewhat touched by gods' hands, where as purity's garden feels distinctly untouched by anyone. that's what originally draws swift there, especially with how unnaturally cheerful and static her own living space is, and its why, when their time comes, sky hopes that people will rediscover it and love it just as she has. just like the old days

while he can be frightening his warm attitude meant he didn’t startle you as quickly as the others. the first time you made eye contact with the prince was in the very room you were summoned into to join the exchange program. 

the demon prince’s large smile faltered in surprise. you jumped and shrunk away as a hissing and crackling sound echoed so loud in your ears you couldn’t hear anything else. as though you stood in the middle of a raging forest fire it was loud and hot, and the desire to scream crawled up your throat.

Diavolo knew exactly what had happened, but he worried explaining so quickly would frighten you even more. he will tell Lucifer and Barbatos what happened, asking for advice on how to handle the situation and when to tell you what happened. 

he would wait a couple of week, to maybe a month before telling you what happened. until you were at least used to him and the devildom enough like he could ask you to go on a walk with him without frightening you. 

on said walk he'd explain what happened, and what a “zing” is. he’d sit you down, taking your hands in his, and gently confessing his own experience. 

“every day I see you, I want to make you happy. I want to make sure you feel safe and cared for. im sorry to put you in such a strange place, dragged down to the devildom and now with a demon on his knees begging for you affections.” he laughed with a pained expression on his face. “if you don't wish to except my affections I understand, but I wanted to make sure you knew what had happened.”

Barbatos

his place as a servant means he would mostly keep his head low unless you were to speak to him directly. the first time you made full eye contact with the butler was while visiting the castle for the first time. 

when your eyes met the dark green of his a clicking sound echoed around you, like the hour chime of a clock. you blinked, looking around for whatever clock had chimed so loudly. 

Barbatos however, his heart raced, placing a hand on his chest. in the many centuries he has crawled along this earth, never would he have imagined a “zing” of his own. he pondered why he never had a vision of you? perhaps because the possibility was so preposterous to him. 

the butler will kindly interrupt your confusion, asking you gently if you were familiar with a demonic legend. 

Barbatos won’t wait to tell you. he will explain it then and there if hes able. however he won’t pursue you. he will wait for you to seek him out, if you so chose. 

as you spend more and more time with the butler, he will realize he has had visions of you. they are very very old, some of his very first. your smile when shy, your giggle when amused, even the gate with which you walk, he’s seen it before. 

Barbatos falls for you arguably the fastest, for spending time with you feels like reuniting with a childhood imaginary friend.

Simeon was nervous to see you again after his fall. hes been in love with you since before he left the celestial realm, and his heart raced at your reaction to him now.

when you finally saw him again you ran to him, intending to pull the fallen angel into a hug. when his eyes met yours however, a strumming sound like the tune of a harp hummed around you. ignoring the strange sound, used to oddness in the devildom you still flew into your angels arms.

holding him tight, Simeon sobbed into your shoulder. black wings incased around you as you stroked his curls, gentle to avoid the horns atop his head. you cooed to him, mumbling how much you’d missed him. 

neither of you had to explain the “zing”. you knew and so did he, and it only choked another sob from the fallen angel. his love was waiting for him with open arms, and somehow... somehow he always knew. 

even with his halo warm and feathers white as snow, he was always drawn to you. you felt like his other half, you had for so long now. as an angel his father’s love and spirit had filled him, something he’d lost when he fell. but now, now he had something he valued so much more.
