After the Sarai and Ava reconciling disaster, Ray was stressed. Fixing the friendship failed, but atleast she got to talk with Sarai.

The feeling of Sarai leaning against her was so good she couldn- the medic's thought get cut off as she sees some sort of moth shift into a mantis.

What the fuck? She slowly approaches them, cautiously reaching for her dagger. Hello-? The mantis seemed to be lacking a halo, which only heightened Ray's alertness.

A thought crept into her mind. No. That was a horrible thought. No, Ray.

She finds Sarai at a calmer part of the party, drinking alcohol. Hey Sarai. Could we talk?

Sarai had already managed to drink half the bottle of absinthe by the time Ray found her. The burning sensation did little to calm her nerves as it usually did.

“What is there to talk about?” She asks bitterly, “You saw how wonderfully that talk with Ava went. If there was even the slightest hope at reconciliation between us, it’s completely vanished now.”

She takes another swig of absinthe.

Ray rushed into the medbay, closing the door behind her. She paid no mind to the current patients, as most of them had minor injuries and some had surgeries scheduled for tomorrow.

She walked into her room and closed the door, closing her eyes and letting out a sigh of relief.

Boo. Grace's voice cut through the silence.

Ray's eyes opened, backing against the door in fear. Shit. Right. She can teleport. Yay.

The seraph sinks her fangs into Ray's neck, causing the latter to bite her lip as to not show it hurts. She soon lets go of the exorcist's neck, whispering in a low voice. See? Didn't hurt a bit...

Grace janks Ray away from the door, throwing her onto the ground.

Her caring tone is gone, replaced by a harsh one. You useless bastard. You think I wouldn't see you, flirting behind my back? With Sarai, of all people?

“Our first place winner was an absolute landslide. This sand castle was entered a bit later in the day but still managed to get quite a lot of attention for their scenes from the skies! This castle was a masterpiece coming from an unsuspected source. With a tallied vote of 1256 votes, the winner of the sandcastle building competition is… number 68, Shamira!” -🐭

*Ellen remembered counting votes and laughing as she sorted through the paper slips. At least a third of them were all in Emily’s flowing cursive. But honestly, she loved Emily and if she was willing to turn in over 300 votes for the guardians castle, she would gladly count them. Even if said guardian would have won without any of them*

[Lee shook her head and looked around for Ray. She made arrangements with medic in advance to ensure her and V's safe passage to Heaven.]

[Ugh, I hope she came.] [Oh, she definitely came, unlike you that night. You should've found another way, you know. What if she won't show up on time? They'll capture not only you, but also your sister. And you wonder why no one ever defended you when you constantly make such stupid decisions~?]

Ray anxiously waited for Lee to arrive. What was taking so long? If she got caught- God, she couldn't even imagine what Sera would do to her. The exorcist jolted up when she saw Ava Lee and Timpani V. There you are! Come on, quickly! She said calmly almost shouted.

She opened the gates to let them in, while looking around nervously. Fuck fuck fuck. Sera was gonna kill her for letting multiple sinners into heaven. Okay, Lee, uh, I mean, Ava, did nobody see you leaving hell? Ray. What are you doing? She almost froze on the spot. Ray knew that voice. I'm sorry, Ivy, I have to help her. I owe her. Like you owe me?

She decided to ignore the voice for now. It couldn't be Ivy. Just her imagination. To distract herself she waved at V Timpani.

Remember, Ray, there is no need to feel bad about this. You owe her. You're being a proper angel. Sera doesn't have shit on you.

Happy 73. Birthday Brad Dourif!

He had so many amazing roles in all this decades! Personally I can't decide which I like the most. He played in a few well-known movies with a bigger budget, but he has so many interesting characters in TV-Stuff and B-movies too. Lon & Jack are both my favourite, but his creepyness level in Exorcist and X-files gave me goosebumps too. And David Bell, Bud the horseplayer, Brother Edward and Billy broke my heart. I love his intense and tragic roles.
