Could you do headcanons for attempting to break up with yandere v3 girls
Attempting To Break Up With Yandere V3 Girls (except Kaede & Himiko)
i might get cancelled for this i am sorry in advance
and um if you're really really sensitive towards yanderes, please stay away
also, SPOILERS!!
TW: yandere, blood, violence, toxic very toxic relationships, manupulation, threatening, impregnation, mention of sexual intercourse
Tumblr media
Kirumi Tojo
•Oh she will be sad. She will act sad.
•"How unfortunate. I was prepared for all things except this."
•"She will let you go" but not really.
•You'll miss her and the way she gives affection. And you loved the way she maintains cleanliness.
•She will do these things. Even if you two are "over".
•And you will want her back again.
Tumblr media
Angie Yonaga
•She would give you a pout and puppy eyes. Wondering why you would do that. Even though she knows damn well that you can't escape her. Ever.
•She tries her best to negotiate with you. Telling you that she'd do art for you, offer you her masterpieces. Hell, she paints a portrait of you using her blood.
•But if you still don't agree, she threatens to sacrifice you to Atua.
•I mean, if you had enough of her, you might as well give yourself to her god. Your blood will be useful.
Tumblr media
Maki Harukawa
•Simple. You can't.
•This girl will hunt down the thing that makes you wanna do this. Is it jealousy? Lack of attraction? Lack of communication and understanding? Or is it because you like someone else?
•Whatever it was, she was sure to eliminate it.
•Well, if you're in the killing game, she would much rather keep you two from all the danger around. And not kill.
Tumblr media
Tenko Chabashira
•She will be really really upset. She would cry.
•She'll ask you where she went wrong and what her fault is over and over again. Because I think she's the type to annoy someone if they try to break up with her.
•And when she reaches her limit, she'll threaten to break your bones so that you couldn't escape from her.
•Don't worry, she'll just do it enough to heal fast but paralyze you forever.
•Then she'll face everyone and pretended that she didn't do anything wrong. She'll manipulate you into telling everyone that you fell down the stairs. That's why you were injured.
Tumblr media
Miu Iruma
•She scrunched her face as she waved the pliers about, "Huh? The fuck are you talking about? You can't just leave me!"
•Oh she will do the most toxic things. Especially if you're male, she will have intercourse with you using a full-of-holes protection without you knowing.
•And then she'll say something like, "You can't leave me, you have a responsibility now." While carressing her stomach.
•She will purposefully impregnate herself???
•She will cook up things that will let you stay just a little longer. No way she'll ever let you go.
Tumblr media
Tsumugi Shirogane
•It was like an exclamatory point popped above her head when she heard that you were breaking up with her. She can't let that happen.
•If you are in a killing game, she will tell you that she is the mastermind, in exchange for your love and safety.
•At first, you couldn't believe what you just heard. You hated the idea of her governing all these killings.
•So, if you still rebel, she has to take matters to her own hands.
•So, you know. Might as well get along with your mastermind gf.

Thank you for reqeusting, anon!

How do you come up with stands? I’m trying to do something as such and I found yours very clever and interesting.
Oh thank you!
I usually look at the character I'm giving the stand to first and foremost because a stand is basically a part of that character, their fighting spirit. It makes sense that the stand would then compliment their personality, status, career, values, and/or plot points
For instance, I usually give stands that have the power to influence groups of people to characters that have leader traits (Kokichi)
I give simpler more straight forward stands for characters who like simplicity for one reason or another (Gonta, Tenko, Ryoma)
Characters who are strict or meticulous I give either automatic stands or stand with a very specific set of rules and conditions. (Maki, Kirumi)
And to characters who are very innovative or are very intelligent, I usually give a stand that has a simple power set but infinite ways to use it (Miu, Korekiyo)
There are of course exceptions, for instance, I wanted to Give Shuichi an overpowered stand he can't control because of his backstory in the game
That's usually my thought process. I just really like rules, especially when the stands have really prominent cons and pros. I just usually make sure that they are all well balanced and fit the user

Gonta Gokuhara Character Analysis: When a Genius is Treated like a Child
Tumblr media
So a quick disclaimer: Yes, I am very aware that this is most likely not canon, or at least not what the writers intended on being canon, nor am I saying that this is 100% canon and should be considered as such. This is just a fan theory/analysis I came up with for my own enjoyment and wanted to share with others, as I like coming up with theories/analysis posts and reworking canons to make enhanced stories and character development in my perspective. I firmly believe that the idea of making theories isn’t supposed to be a shouting contest to see which opinion is the most loud and correct, but should be something to share with others and find acceptance and understanding in different interpretations, even if you don’t agree with them.
Well, this has been a long time coming, hasn’t it?
I’ve been talking about wanting to do this analysis for months now to various friends and acquaintances, but I’ve only had the motivation to do as such recently, after writing a short story that dived deeper into Gonta’s mindset over the Mercy Killing Plot he and Kokichi attempted to carry out. Regardless of that, however, Gonta has been one of my favorite characters for quite some time, and I really feel like his character arc and the unfortunate tragedy behind the unintentional mistreatment of Gonta via his classmates.
So without further adieu, let’s talk about that--about what happens when a genius is treated like a child.
Warning, this does discuss some rather unfortunate topics, such as ableism, depression/self loathing, and the concept of mercy killing. Viewer discretion is advised.
The first thing we need to elaborate on, is why I am calling Gonta a “genius.” Gonta has shown difficulty in understanding simple concepts, and struggles to follow along complicated plots, such as we see in his Salmon Mode Event where he mentions that he cannot follow the plot of high fantasy stories because they tend to be so complicated. He even refers to himself as not very smart, tragically enough.
However, not is all what it seems for Gonta, as his intellect is a matter of fact, and not just an analysis, and the game’s introduction of him opens up this fact to the player in a round about way that may or may not be so subtle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gonta admits here that he was a wild child, lost in the forest for ten years. While the logistics are... questionable, this is a work of fiction, thus I will suspend some disbelief. Gonta being lost in the forest for ten years means that he was probably about 5-8 years old when he was lost, depending on how old he is in the game.
Touching upon this briefly, studies of wild children, specifically referencing this case here, have an extremely hard time readjusting and learning to human language, customs, and interaction. The younger a child is upon becoming a wild child and the longer they are in the wild, the less likely they will be able to learn language and certain social behaviors and skills. While it is not impossible, the likelihood of Gonta being 15 or 16 in the game is very low, and even impossible once I elaborate, and we can safely assume that with the context of him being a wild child, he is probably at least 17 years old. So a safe assumption is that Gonta was lost in the forest when he was about 7.
(Note: I am very well aware of Gonta’s potential forest family not being wolves, and instead the reptites, but these creatures Gonta speaks of very well be his own imagination spiking from the isolation from humanity, or be something else entirely. Gonta makes several references to video game characters as well, claiming he met them in real life, so I consider it highly unlikely that “reptites” are an exception to this. Either way, it won’t matter if you believe otherwise, just that it may change certain aspects of what I’m about to say in regarding education and the sort.)
What’s the point of this elaboration? Well, quite a lot, once you remember that Gonta is the Ultimate Entomologist.
Firstly, there is the fact that Gonta is a high school student at all. Gonta was lost at a very young age--it would be impossible for him to be, since not only had he spent 10 years int he wild, but he also had to rejoin human society, relearn human language and customs, and then be put back into formal education. If Gonta is still a teenager and not over 21, then Gonta would have to cram in a decade’s worth of formal education into a few months, or a few years, at most.
This makes Gonta a literal prodigy.
Had Gonta not been isolated from humanity for a decade, Gonta would have been a child prodigy, a literal genius with an intellect that couldn’t be so easily matched. Having the capacity to learn advance mathematics, language (although in the English version, he is struggling with speak (speaking with the infamous “caveman” speech pattern) scientific methods, all of it within such a short amount of time proves that Gonta is, without a shred of doubt, a genius.
Even if you take the aforementioned reptites into account, it only makes Gonta’s accomplishments slightly less impressive, depending on your interpretation of what the reptites actually are. This is because Gonta still had to engage with formal education, and even in the best case scenario where the reptites were fully advanced beings with a civilization and education (which I quite doubt, if they were, then why not give Gonta back to the human race when he was still a child? Why not guide him back to his kind? Why keep him? Even if they were afraid of humanity, it would be far, far worse for the humans to find them while looking for their lost son... I digress.) Gonta still had to learn Japan’s education. Their history, their language, their social customs--and then, Gonta had to learn how to be an entomologist.
You need to go to college to be an entomologist.
According to this website here, the basic, bare bones higher education one needs in order to apply for certain positions related to entomology is a bachelor’s degree, with most positions and places requiring a doctoral decree. There are, of course, youth clubs for students under eighteen, but from my understanding, in order to be considered an entomologist, you need a college degree.
Gonta is a high school student.
For him to be considered an Ultimate Entomologist, Gonta would have to have taken college courses and gotten some kind of degree in order to be recognized as such. Thus, Gonta is still learning a higher education within a short period of time that is incredible for any human being his age, whether it be as drastic as him having no sort of education while living in the wild, or living with the reptites.
Either way, it is safe to say that Gonta is very intelligent, whether or not he is potentially a prodigy for it.
However, this has very unfortunate implications of the way Gonta is treated by his peers in the game.
Not only does Tsumugi here reenforce that idea in everyone else’s mind...
Tumblr media
She blatantly tells Gonta that he was being manipulated and or “tricked” into abducting everyone...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When, in actuality, not only did Gonta know exactly what he was doing:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kokichi even elaborated on his plans quite explicitly to Gonta:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And earlier on, the rest of the class had been treating him differently than they treat one another, sort of like he was a young child they needed to guide.
For example;
Tumblr media
Kirumi assumes Gonta is not very aware that hitting someone with such an object is dangerous... despite him being a peer to his classmates and a young man.
And when Gonta has a pretty valid concern;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is instructed against it and/or ignored on the subject:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even Kaede slips up a little;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And during the investigation...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Himiko is 100% convinced here that Gonta is the culprit, to the point where she is trying to trick him with this kind of phrasing.
“Are you not, not the culprit?” equates to “Are you the culprit?”
“Are you not, not, not the culprit?” equates to... I believe it would be “Are you not the culprit?”
And that’s the thing:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like how even I was confused and unsure about the triple ‘nots’ of Himiko’s statement, Gonta is too. Very reasonably so, actually--it’s extremely awkward phrasing purposefully meant to manipulate Gonta into saying he’s the culprit of Rantaro’s murder, and it takes Kaito and Himiko to realize that it was them causing the problem when Kaede called them out on such.
And again, after Gonta explains his actions during the murder, he gets very frustrated;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Already, we are seeing the effects piling up, leading to a frustrated, angry outburst.
And by far, one of the worst examples of this sort of unintentional ableism is this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Himiko even just... flat out does this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
By “dumbing down” the explanation of right and left, and not noticing that Gonta is left handed, she caused him to accidentally switch the wires on the headset, causing the memory error and making this entire trial all the more worse for him. By treating him like a child, like the theme of this trial, she only made things worse for him.
And that’s the problem.
Despite Gonta trying to tell everyone that he has no idea what they’re even talking about, everyone just assumes he “can’t understand the Virtual World” and brushes him off. Again and again, Gonta was treated like a child and brushed off, and this time, it came with a heavy consequence.
These instances of “guiding” Gonta are subtle, and on their own, aren’t much to address as anything more than suggestions or words of caution. However, there is a very clear theme of “we have to tell Gonta what he should do” that starts in Chapter 1 and continues on until the end of Chapter 4. They’re unintentionally telling him that Gonta needs to be guided and needs to be reminded of pretty obvious and basic knowledge, and worst of all, that he can’t be trusted to think for himself and thus needs someone to tell him how to think and feel.
If it was one or two times, that would be a whole other story. However, these instances pile up, higher and higher throughout the entire span of Gonta’s time in the Killing Game, and the majority of the class ends up dismissing or ignoring Gonta’s concerns.
This sparks a growing desire to prove himself, to prove that he can be useful during the trials. To prove to his peers that he can do something on his own, think for himself, decide for himself, except even until his final moments;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even after Gonta’s Alter Ego telling himself and everyone explicitly that he was not tricked into killing Miu...
Tumblr media
... No one listens.
Instead of listening to Gonta, over and over, they continue to brush him off and treat him like a child they had to care for, and yet no one stopped to consider that Gonta is a young man. An intelligent, young man who’s socially awkward, but never the less, a peer to them. Yet they didn’t treat him like a peer, and in the end...
Tumblr media
Gonta died thinking he was an idiot. A child. A burden who made everything worse for everyone else. They all considered him as a child, and that’s how they saw him even in his final moments.
Gonta throughout the game constantly tries to prove himself, but no one is paying attention. When he learned of the Secret of the Outside World, Gonta didn’t even have anyone else to turn to for help or comfort. His feelings of uselessness compounded by the desperation to prove himself as an equal to everyone else drove him to agreeing to mercy kill the rest of the group... because how else was a stupid, burden of a child supposed to help anyone as he was? Even though he knew killing was wrong, with Kokichi’s plan, he was able to do something “for everyone,” and even that compounded into the ultimate failure.
It’s an unfortunate reality, because had the class treated him as a fellow classmate and peer, this might have been preventable.
Either way, what do you think? Was discussing the unintentional class ableism in depth towards Gonta a bit... too much? I do believe this is the first time I’ve ever done such a post, so you’ll have to forgive me. It’s also been quite a while since I made a proper analysis, hasn’t it? I must be a little rusty...
I will say--please, do not use this post for any discourse regarding the ableism and what have you if you choose to agree with this interpretation. I will not stand for it.
Either way, I hope you at least found this post to be food for thought. See you all next time.

If the NDRV3 Characters each played an instrument...
Shuichi: The flute.  The quiet kids play this. It’s beautiful and the tone can be thin or almost as full as a clarinet. Can’t you just see him playing this? Or maybe the recorder, that would also do nicely. They both can seem rather understated, but they make such beautiful sounds and colors.
Kaede: The piano would be a copout answer, so... the clarinet. Or percussion. The clarinet has a pretty full tone, but it’s not as brassy as the oboe. She could also pick up other percussive instruments, as the piano is pretty percussive (I mean, you literally strike notes. You have the freedom and liberty of a musician, but sometimes there’s only so much you can do before it’s not musical anymore). I can see her playing the drums or maybe the xylophone.
Kokichi: The trumpet. That was pretty easy. He would definitely play the loudest and most obnoxious instrument to annoy everyone within the vicinity. The poor second violas always get their ears blown out by the trumpets.  Plus, the trumpet is easy to move around with and you could play while walking around, which gives him a greater attack range. Wait, what were we talking about again?
Kaito: The trombone. Just look at his long limbs. Nuff said.
Maki: The violin.  Classic instrument. Most popular and one of the most competitive sections of the orchestra. There’s always too many auditioning. It’s gorgeous, yes, and versatile- but there’s a lot of great instruments out there. She probably picked it up for an assassin job. I think she’d be terrible at it, though. She’s probably also tone-deaf, which is a terrible trait for someone who plays the violin or other instruments you play with a bow. It’s not so much a problem if you play the piano.
Himiko: The viola. It’s an unpopular instrument in comparison to the violin, but it’s mellow and rich. It always gets the “isn’t that just a slightly bigger violin?” Well, yes and no. It’s a different instrument for a reason. Does it look just a little bigger? Yes. I think Himiko would play the viola because all instruments with a bow are still fitted to the player’s size so the fact that “it’s bigger than a violin” isn’t a concern. Her viola could be smaller than Maki’s violin, honestly. It’s often forgotten about, but it produces a great tone and quality. Himiko probably picked it, thinking it was a violin at first.
Tenko: The marimba.  I definitely think Tenko would play a percussive instrument. The marimba is a physically intense instrument to play when the sequence of notes is fast and/or they’re spread far apart; you have to move around a lot in order to reach all of the keys and do it in the right rhythm. It’s almost like a dance, watching the player perform. You always have to be poised for the next notes. It would quite suit Tenko, who does martial arts, which requires a certain rhythm and intensity of its own.
Angie: The sitar. I know nothing about this instrument. But I can see Angie playing an instrument with strings, the sitar or maybe like a guitar, something that’s strummed. The look of the sitar matches her aesthetic, and you can also have sitar metal, which is perfect for Angie. She’d probably have sitar rave sessions.
Gonta: The gong. He has too much strength to really be able to master some of the other instruments, especially ones that could be warped from his grip. He’s a gentle giant who controls his strength quite well, but I think if he’s focused on something else, he may forget. The gong is like...well, you have one job. Maybe you need to do it two more times in the piece? You better not mess it up, though, is all I’m saying.
Rantaro: The cello. He’s a suave guy, and the cello is a suave instrument. It’s very cool, in my opinion. Never met someone who didn’t like listening to the cello. Even if you never listen to classical music, it was probably in the background of your pop music or whatever weeby anime or game OST you listen to. The cello produces very rich and light tones. It’s like the king of the bowed instruments, in my opinion. It’s the instrument closest in range to the human voice. Its image really matches Rantaro.
Miu: The voice. I can’t imagine Miu having the patience to sit down and really learn an instrument and practice. She’d probably complain about how it’s a waste of time, anyhow. But her voice is part of her, so it could be pretty easy for her to dabble in it now and then and get interested in what she is capable of. The gorgeous girl genius, am I right?
Ryoma: The triangle. The bass. I think he’d like to mellow out and play something simple. He’s a sports guy with an appreciation for music, but some of it goes over his head. Otherwise, I imagine him playing the bass. It would be one of the tiniest basses ever, but for some reason, I imagine him loving jazz and plucking those strings. The bass is the biggest and you actually have to stand most of the time when you play it.
Kiibo: The triangle. I crossed out the previous part because...eh. Ryoma can handle it. Not so sure about Kiibo. He’s as weak as an elderly person, so he can’t do anything with too much physical exertion. The triangle is perfect for him. Something not too stimulating, and he can count beats and chime in at just the right time. He’d probably tell other people they were a quarter beat too early if someone else did it.
Korekiyo: The piano. Bitch, please. Look at those long fingers. They were made to play the piano. That’s all.
Kirumi: The piano and the violin.  She’s the Ultimate Maid, so she probably plays all of them alright. But the piano and violin are appropriate instruments to perform in a formal setting and the piano is the perfect accompaniment to idle chatter. You can never go wrong with that if you’re playing something refined and classy for your guest before you have dinner with them.
Tsumugi: The clarinet.  I know, I know, the same instrument I chose for Kaede. But I failed to mention something, which is that the clarinet is the instrument people choose in middle school when they can’t make a sound on any other instrument because their lungs are too weak. Thus, you get a lot of average people playing the clarinet. Tsumugi is rather average. Otherwise, I like to think she’d play a saxophone, maybe an alto saxophone. I see her playing jazz.
Don’t attack me because I actually don’t know as much about instruments I don’t play ie. any instrument except piano and the voice thanks very much

Beta AU - Main story, Chapter 3, deadly life (Part 5)
Note of the author: ... Heavy stuff incoming. Sensible souls beware.
Chapter 3: What is beyond humans’ control - Deadly life
...
Kaito’s face blanched. Shuichi could faintly see sweat drops on his temple.
"I... I’m...”
He felt bad for the biker.
He was the only one with decent knowledge in mechanics and able to do Keebo’s maintenance while both Tsumugi and Ryoma were sick.
The responsibility of Keebo’s death fell on him.
He was the one responsible.
He was the reason why the robot wasn’t with them anymore.
Even if Keebo wasn’t human, he was still considered a part of the group. And to Monokuma, he was a participant.
He had a conscience -though less developed than a human’s-, he had thoughts, desires, and even though he didn’t express them much, Keebo did have emotions.
The thought of his friend being executed like Tenko and Maki for a tiny maintenance mistake he didn’t have full control upon...
That terrified Shuichi.
Now that he thought about it, how many of them were responsible for others’ deaths? Or even attempted to kill?
Miu tried to, but couldn’t bring herself to actually do it.
Kaito killed Keebo on accident.
Kokichi was the reason why Kaede was the victim of the second case.
Kirumi murdered several people in the past.
Ryoma, as a war mechanic, built weapons that killed people.
That left five people innocent.
Only half the group had never tried to and/or ended someone’s life.
... And he didn’t count the blackened who killed Himiko.
Did they already have blood on their hands before committing the crime?
Who knows.
The courtroom was silent, the others slowly realizing the truth.
Miu was looking away. The guilt seemed to flow back to her. Perhaps a part of her knew how he was feeling.
Ryoma looked angry, but kept his emotions to himself. Now was probably not the time to lash out at Kaito, and he knew it.
Kirumi, Kiyo and Rantaro, even though they were not the most expressive, had hints of pity on their faces.
Tsumugi was staring at Kaito, a neutral look on her face. She didn’t look satisfied by the results, but she didn’t look annoyed either. How could she be so calm in a situation like this?
Angie was hard to read. Was she not caring about Keebo’s death? She was simply waiting for something to happen, but couldn’t bring herself to start the conversation.
And Kokichi... He looked more troubled about what was coming than the fact Kaito was indeed, the second blackened.
They all investigated Keebo’s death to know what Kokichi even had those last few days.
Was the truth even worth achieving? Was it worth putting a “killer” stamp on Kaito’s face?
Monokuma may have said he would have forced them to investigate Keebo’s death anyway, but they still chose to go along with it.
Shuichi had a horrible feeling.
“And now...” Monokuma broke the silence. “I have to complete my part of the deal!”
The others turned back to the bear- except Kaito, who was still looking at the ground.
Kokichi was even more afraid than Shuichi.
“Drum rolls for Kokichi’s condition, please!” the mascot yelled.
Before the remaining Monokubs could start the noise, Rantaro interrupted them. “Just tell us already.”
“Kids these days! No sense of humour!” Monokuma pouted. “Very well! In that case...”
“Kokichi did, indeed, have the despair disease, even though his symptoms differed from the others!”
Shuichi unconsciously held his breath.
“And... What were my symptoms...?” Kokichi hesitantly asked.
“Puhuhuhuhu! Well what would be more suited for you...”
“... Than the reverse disease!”
Shuichi raised an eyebrow. “The... Reverse disease?”
He glanced at the others. They were just as confused... And then his eyes landed on Rantaro. The medic’s face became as white as Kaito’s.
Does he know?
“... Oh no.” Rantaro muttered low enough to be heard only by Shuichi's musician ears and perhaps the two girls on his sides.
“It’s pretty simple actually!” Monokuma continued. “This disease will reverse your talent! So for the ultimate karma who’s very existence rewards good people and punishes the bad ones...”
“An ultimate karma with the reverse disease will punish innocent people and reward the bad ones!”
Shuichi could barely mutter “What does this have to do with anyth-”
Before he realized.
Himiko.
Himiko was the one to care about Kokichi the most.
So much that she stayed around him almost the entire time he was sick.
So much that when she wasn’t at his side, she felt guilty for leaving him alone.
She never was afraid of his talent and the dangers around it.
She still helped him get through everything that happened in the game.
And when they found her dead this morning...
... She was unrecognizable.
Wounds covering her body, bones and joints broken, stabbed in all places, and a grotesque graffiti of angel wings behind her back painted with her own blood.
And all this torture inflicted while she was alive.
They were all wondering what she even did to deserve such a cruel fate...
... But the answer was right here. Right in front of their eyes.
Like a reversed wheel of fortune unable to stop spinning.
Like a blind judge unable to distinct the virtue from the vice.
Kokichi and the disease offered the astronomer a fate worse than death.
And he had no control over this.
Karma rendered an unjust judgement and took the life of the one who deserved it the less.
...
Shuichi’s eyes slowly widened in horror.
The others felt as shocked and terrified as him as they realized the harsh truth.
Even Ryoma and Tsumugi who were the most stoic people of the group were appalled by the reveal.
First Kaede, and now this? Kokichi had finally started to accept his talent thanks to Himiko, and she perished because of it.
What did Kokichi even do to deserve this?
Wasn’t being the cause of Kaede’s death enough for Monokuma?
“Haha... Hahahahahahah...”
The violinist’s eyes shifted to the small boy.
He was hysterically laughing.
For what felt like an eternity, a delirious laughter filled the courtroom, dumbfounded eyes fixated on him.
“What did I even expect? It’s always my fault. It always has been. Whenever something bad happens it’s always me. Whenever someone suffers it’s always me. And if it’s not my fault well guess what? It’s still me somehow.”
The tone of his voice sent chills down Shuichi’s spine. It was like he already accepted it.
How used to this type of situation was he?
How much blood did he have on his hands because of his talent?
“Well! You got your answer now!” He outstretched his arms, a wide smile on his face. A joyful gesture not fitting a normal reaction at all. “If it’s karma that killed Himiko, then you have your blackened! It was about time I pay for every death I’m responsible for.”
Shuichi blinked. “What...?”
"It’s my fault she died, right? Then it’s only fair *I* get to be executed.” he continued.
In his voice wasn’t regret nor sadness.
It was madness. Tiredness. Dreadful acceptance.
A plea to end his life.
When he broke down last trial, it was already hard to look at.
But this was different.
They were all so convinced his condition would be a major clue to the case that they forgot why Monokuma even put them in this killing game.
It was to make inflict them despair.
And he was excelling at doing do.
Rantaro himself was starting to panic. “Hold on, we can’t just execute you, we don’t even know if you’re-”
“Who cares about that! Karma ended her life, end of the story! I’m the culprit you’re all searching for!” He yelled desperately.
“Even if ‘karma’ is part of this, we don’t even know who was the one to kill her. So unless you killed her we have no reason to vote for you.” Kirumi countered.
“SHUT UP! You have no idea what you’re talking about! There is one person responsible for her death here, and it’s me!”
Kiyo tried to calm down the conflict. “I probably will never understand what you went through but we need to-”
“There’s nothing to understand! Himiko is dead because of me and this despair bullshit! I am the blackened here!”
“Then let’s settle this right now.” Tsumugi slammed her hands on her podium.
Shuichi snapped out of his shock. “What do you-”
“Monokuma, I have a question about the rules.” she asked.
Everyone turned to the prodigy.
“Who counts as the blackened in a case exactly?”
The robotic bear laughed, paws on his mouth.
“The blackened is the student who commits the killing. So no matter how much someone is indirectly responsible for someone’s death...”
“... Only the person who does the final blow is the blackened!”
Rantaro frowned. “The final blow...?”
“Or in the case of a poisoning, it’s the person who gave the substance to the victim who is the blackened!”
The courtroom went silent.
“... That settles it.” Tsumugi declared.
No matter how much karma was part of the equation, Kokichi was not the blackened.
The boy looked beyond mad.
“That’s still on me! I’ve seen people die by my fault, Himiko is no exception!”
“Kokichi, please!” Rantaro yelled, surprising everyone.
He winced when Kokichi’s desperate eyes landed on his.
“It’s... Horrible. Even I have never seen such a horrible death before. And I’ve seen a lot of stuff over the years.”
“Then just vote for me already! I-”
“But.” he interrupted. “I refuse to believe an invisible concept such as karma was able to physically do anything to Himiko.”
“We still have a culprit to find. The real blackened.” Kirumi continued.
Angie looked up. “We didn’t talk about Himiko’s death that much, didn’t we?”
Shuichi took a deep breath. “I still... Have trouble realizing someone went that far in a crime...”
“I’m telling you I am the culprit! I am the reason Himiko died! I should count as the blackened!”
Kokichi was not giving up.
Shuichi had trouble staying calm.
This whole trial was heartbreaking.
"Kokichi, are you the one who drugged me and killed Himiko?” Rantaro strongly gripped his podium.
“No! But I should still count as the blackened!”
“You are not the blackened for this! We have to find the real culprit, Monokuma said so himself!”
“I know I’m responsible for this! Just stop it already!”
“No! We have a murder to solve, we need to do justice for Himiko!”
“No one needs to die other than me here! There’s only one person who deserves a punishment and it’s me!”
“Can’t you see that whoever did this did not have a state of mind that could be described as remotely sane???”
Rantaro yelled desperately.
Kokichi stopped.
“Rantaro...” Ryoma turned to him. “What do you mean by that?”
“The killer could have just stabbed her and leave and yet...” he explained. “... I think whoever did this had lost every little bit of sanity they had. Which is why my theory is...”
“... That the killer had the despair disease and either never told any of us, or lied about their symptoms.”
Shuichi didn’t even know why he didn’t think of it this way. It felt obvious, on second thought.
“And do you think you can rule out some suspects?” Kiyo asked.
Rantaro thought for a second. “The first one we can rule out is Kokichi. Since Monokuma himself told us the real symptoms, and he even defended me about the soporifics.”
The violinist could see Kokichi clenching his fists, gaze to the ground.
Miu raised an eyebrow. “Can’t we also say Tsumugi and Ryoma are innocent? The monokubs pretty much confirmed their symptoms!”
“That’s what I’m doubting.” Rantaro replied. “Do you really think the monokubs would tell us if someone lied about their own symptoms?”
“Are you suggesting we’re lying?” Tsumugi glared at him.
The medic wasn’t phased in the slightest. “Aren’t you the one suspecting me all the time? Or only you are allowed to suspect other people?”
“Let’s not argue right now.” Kirumi interrupted them before things would go wrong.
Kiyo seemed to be pondering for a moment. “... Monokuma, I have a question about the disease.”
“Let’s see, what is your question?”
“Supposing the killer did have the despair disease. Do they remember their own crime?” he asked.
... If they didn’t, things would get really problematic.
“Excellent question! Even though it is tempting not to answer, I shall give you this detail!” the bear exclaimed.
“As much as a case where the murderer doesn’t remember their crime is interesting and has a lot of potential, for this case, if the killer did have the disease, they do remember their crime!”
“Then in that case we can rule out Tsumugi. She was the first one to tell us that she didn’t remember the last few days.” Kirumi explained. “And I don’t think Ryoma would have agreed to follow her and fake amnesia as well, if she was lying.”
“We can also rule out Ryoma in the process. He was with Rantaro and I for the first part of the investigation and told us the same.” Kiyo added.
“So we got Kokichi, Tsumugi and Ryoma out of the equation. Which is a start.” Rantaro concluded.
“However we can’t keep trying to rule out suspects like this.” Ryoma raised a hand. “If we don’t solve the murder as a whole we will get nowhere.”
Shuichi unconsciously nodded. “That’s right... I think that’s the best for now.”
“We have to solve Himiko’s murder entirely.”

Trial 6 - (Fifty)Third Time’s the Charm, Post-Accusation (3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is that all we are to you? Just a vehicle to solve your cases for you?! ... you know what on second thought don’t answer that -
Trial: 1 / 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello darkness my old friend
Tumblr media
What an interesting reaction. Despite the weird back and forth she’s been having with Monokuma, he still had the Monokubs jump in to defend her - though with that said, the desperation of it all probably backfired in Shuichi’s eyes. The point is, her first reaction wasn’t to protest - I mean, she will, and she did a bit weakly earlier, but it’s to withdraw into herself and think. Isn’t that how we first came across her? Thinking deeply to herself and completely ignoring Kaede and Shuichi to the best of her abilities?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A-are you attempting to plead ‘power of friendship’ right now -
Tumblr media
“There is no time for friendship in the court of law!!!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clinging to that idea is the only thing he had to keep himself going all this time, too.
Also, after pushing behind the scenes for him to condemn three of the most well-meaning people in the class (and, y’know, Kirumi and Korekiyo lol), it’s interesting that she seems to think that this line of defense will work - especially considering what he’s accusing her of doing. You’ve managed to do something way beyond just murder, Tsumugi! Aside from Rantaro, you set the groundwork for everything that followed! And I feel like this game, more than the others, really pushed the idea that the survivors share some of the blame when the ‘blackened’ dies. I don’t agree with that mind you, but survivor’s guilt is very real and very powerful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite all of this, he still wants to be wrong and is happy to be wrong. Being awfully, painfully right seems to be a running trend with him, with the one glaring exception hanging over his head.
BUT SHE STILL ISN’T SAYING ANYTHING -
she’s just sitting there with this worried, anguished expression and I don’t know what I was expected but it wasn’t this?? Is she trying to frantically brainstorm a way out or -
Tumblr media
Seriously Monokuma do you actually hate her??? Despite working with her? Despite being intrinsically linked to each other???
Anyway whatever that just means it’s cute comic time, nice.
Tumblr media
“gdmt do I have to do everything myself -”
They kept her glasses on! Oh, they kept her glasses on it for this! I don’t know why that makes me so happy.
Tumblr media
Aaaaw look at Miu tinker away! The animation is really cute for it, tbh. Also something about Korekiyo eating all by himself with Kirumi waiting on him is kinda hilarious to me...
.........
I just realized that everyone in the dining hall were killers/wanna-be killers of the game lmao. Also, if only the nosier people had been in the room, this could have been prevented. 8′\
.... Now I really wish we knew where Kokichi had been at the time.
Tumblr media
i just have this screenshot because Shuichi and Kaede are cute here
Tumblr media
What was the signal that clued Tsumugi in on leaving, I wonder? Maybe she waited a certain amount of time after seeing Rantaro leave with the others? Would she have been willing to wait longer if she needed to for Kaede’s plan to either work or not work, or was she counting on it happening in that five minute span?
Tumblr media
This was a pretty damn good set-up by Kaede.
Tumblr media
I
CANNOT
BELIEVE EVEN NOW -
Tumblr media
!!! New Act 5.
Also no shit he would’ve been surprised. Actually, I’d say that was an understatement. What a great expression by the artist - that is definitely the look of someone whose life or what he remembers of it is flashing before his eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
RANTARO
RANTARO DAMN IT
I GET YOU’RE IN PSYCHOLOGICAL SHOCK BUT
oh god I was gonna say ‘did he not hear Tsumugi right behind him’ but 1) the video was still blasting 2) no, seriously, he was probably in shock and still processing that he nearly died and was a sitting duck
Tumblr media
WOW LOOKING REALLY CREEPY THERE MISS MASTERMIND
okay now the glasses still being there is kinda hilarious but I love it
Tumblr media
SHE REALLY WAS.... RIGHT THERE....
Tumblr media
This is another redundant picture because.... I’m not sure. I like this group together. We didn’t know anything about them at this point in the game, but they really did try so hard - and hell, Tenko, who I never got to know that well, was already putting aside her own bias this early in the game to work with Kaito for everyone’s sake. aaah now i’m getting sad
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which was so believable because even Kaede thought it was the truth! I’m so torn. I really like Kaede, and honestly? I like the fact that she was willing to go after the mastermind so aggressively. Tsumugi did twist the truth, sure, and we convicted the wrong person - but I don’t want to lose the fact that Kaede only didn’t kill Rantaro because her calculations were slightly off and Tsumugi cleaned up after her. I keep going back to it, but that line of Kokichi’s, telling Kaede she lost the moment she let murder into her heart, does still ring true to me...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THAT POSE.... I’d been waiting for her to make that type of pose all game. IS THIS WHY IT NEVER HAPPENED? BECAUSE YOU WERE SAVING IT FOR THIS DRAMATIC REVEAL?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Damn I love this picture, and I love how we’re finally getting to see the first hints of menace in her expression (outside of the ‘backflip into a minefield and die’ lol).
So.... now what....?
Tumblr media
DO IT I’M BEGGING YOU PLEASE PRESS THE BUTTON
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aaaaw, even K1-b0 is willing to hear her out. :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MAKI ON THE OTHER HAND LMAO
“I’m giving you 5 minutes. Oh, we’re down to 298 seconds now. Tick tock, motherfucker.”
And... she has nothing. Pretty much nothing. I mean, I guess she manages to throw the word ‘plain’ out one more time - literally just, “it’s plain to see I didn’t do it” - and that’s... it. Not exactly what one would expect of the mastermind who was able to throw this all together...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NO NOT THAT THING
Tumblr media
“Tsumugi I swear to god -”
Tumblr media
THAT’S NOT A GOOD REASON AT ALL!!! THAT’S THE OPPOSITE OF A GOOD REASON!!!
Tumblr media
;LKDFJAS;KJ
SDKFLJ
kalsdjfsljf;sfj
f m l    that’s actually
amazing
thank you based tsumugi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Where are you going with this????
Tumblr media
???????????
Tumblr media
I think everyone who‘s played the game has this scene seared into their memories and for good reason.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME AGREE WITH MONOPHANIE DRV3 -
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh thank god
Tumblr media
Wait no, Tsumugi. Wait. No, we’ve had something good going on between us, right? Right? Tsumugi please - please don’t -
Tumblr media
TSUMUGI I AM BEGGING YOU
Tumblr media
NO
TSUMUGI
TSUMUGI WHY
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS
Tumblr media
FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
......
WAIT DID YOU LITERALLY JUST CHANGE IN THAT CLOUD OF DUST
HOW -
Tumblr media
YOU’RE DAMN RIGHT shit she really is the Ultimate Analyst
Tumblr media
Wait, the 53rd???
Tumblr media
THE 53RD??? THERE’S BEEN 53 OF THEM??? HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN UP YOUR MANTLE -
Tumblr media
NO FUCK YOU IT’S TSUMUGI GIVE HER THE CREDIT SHE DESERVES
Tumblr media
HOW DARE YOU
Tumblr media
U-UM
UM WHAT JUST HAPPENED
Tumblr media
first of all BITCH -
second of all HOW DID YOU
SWITCH BACK SO FAST WHAT IN THE WORLD
third of all, which is really just an expansion of first of all, I actually still managed to keep liking her despite everything! Even that damn love hotel scene! DESPITE ALL THE ODDS I STILL EXIST -
Tumblr media
“I’m pretty sure Kokichi copyrighted that. You gotta wait at least 25 years before you can use it yourself, y’know.”
Tumblr media
hHGHGH MEGANE MASTERMIND SPRITE
omfg they
they’ve been holding back on this pose for the entire game
just for this moment
just for glasses!junko
............
fml I’ll allow it but I’M NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT
Also I... I still want to believe that this Junko persona was born from Tsumugi and not the other way around....
Tumblr media
Wait, does that mean Maki and the others know what Junko sound like? How? Were there recordings of the final trial or something? This just makes me more curious about the time separation between the last two games and this one! Especially with the number ‘53′ dropped - that would mean someone’s picked up the mantle 53 times, right??? So shouldn’t it be at least 53 years? but then how old was Naegi in that flashback, and that’s assuming every person that took the role would last no longer than a year, but then - wait -
No, if I’m going to stick with the idea that these students were made to replace actual Ultimates... then maybe this is a lot farther back than I initially thought...?
Tumblr media
DOES SHE HAVE A V   3 IN HER EYES
....
WAIT A SECOND
Tumblr media
Which is why she’s calling herself the 53rd... So Junko Enoshima is a title that can be passed down. It’s officially bigger than the person herself - the same way ‘Ultimate Despair’ belonged to Junko (and she pretty much defined it), but was also a title that could be earned by other people... right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You literally keep bringing out your glasses. You can’t even see us properly from over there, can you?”
Tumblr media
EXCEPT FOR YOUR DAMN EYES I CANNOT BELIEVE -
SHE’S THE 53RD JUNKO WHICH SHE HAS A V3 IN HER EYES BECAUSE V3 IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT 50 + 3 DAMN YOU DRV3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Please, Shuichi? Please? Can I do it now?!”
omfg Maki why is the answer to everything murder ARE WE REALLY GOING TO DO ROUND THREE HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING -
......... b u t  on the other hand we actually do have the confirmed mastermind here. H M M M M ....
Tumblr media
AAAAH IT’S THAT TSUMUGI POSE EXCEPT NOW IT’S OMINOUS AND SHE’S LOOKING AT US OH GOD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sweetcheeks is staying on track! You’ve got her right where you want her, kiddo! :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“..... like, do you wanna go get some food or coffee after this, or....?”
Tumblr media
“I DON’T NEED YOUR STUPID COFFEE I NEED A GODDAMN NAP AND A CHANGE OF SCENERY!!!”
Tumblr media
I’m... suddenly getting a terrible feeling that things won’t be that simple. We’re definitely not far enough into this trial for it to end...
Tumblr media
W-Why do I feel like I’m facing a Tsumugi-Junko tag team right now?
Tumblr media
FML I really like this transition between her initial sprite and this menacing one!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I-I... I guess we’re just going to let her exposition-dump now? O-Okay...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ffffffuuuu where do the weird memory shenanigans mix into this and what part of this is the truth? Because Tsumugi clearly feels a deep connection to Junko (lmao inner Junko) but the flashback light machine showed us that we could literally choose scenarios where people other than us survived!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MAKI
MAKI NO
I THOUGHT WE HAD FINALLY GOTTEN SOMEWHERE ON THIS
Tumblr media
.... Whoa this sprite looks really different from the rest. It’s ripped straight from the first game, right? I don’t know if the colours quite match up with the others. 8′D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didn’t realize I could hate the Remnant of Despair Kokichi theory more than I already did but then he, with the supposed talent Supreme Leader, was relegated to a mere follower. 8′D
Unrelated but I lowkey love this ^ line.
Tumblr media
... Do you ever just realize how small Kokichi was in a moment like this.
Anyway I thought we’d already drop-kicked Remnant!Kokichi into the sun but apparently we have to do it in-trial now. Or, well, soon, anyway.
Himiko and the others are trying to stay on track though - on the idea that there are viewers to the madness. At first I thought, ‘oh, that’s a bit of a tangent though’ then I remembered Kokichi was the one who gave us the tools to get all the evidence to prove that so it actually does make sense to bring it back up now!
Tumblr media
Bullshit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An intriguing line of thought, but bullshit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THERE IS SO MUCH WRONG HERE THAT I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN -
Tumblr media
so thank god for Shuichi, who can help us get started.

1, 4, 20 :D
Thank you for the ask, Serahne!!! ღゝ◡╹)ノ♡
@serahne-is-here
And sorry it took so long! It has been, like, months, lol. I… have no excuses ^^; I’ve written and rewritten, and re-rewritten this trying to make this more concise and to the point. I gave up, and just now came back to it.
From here: 20 thought-provoking V3 questions
Oddly enough for a V3-centered blog, I haven’t talked too much about my opinions on it here pretty much since I played it, lol. Well, for those that don’t follow my main blog, this is just a warning that I don’t have great things to say about most of it, lol.
1: How do you feel about the game’s writing in general? How does it compare to the other games?
I think I may be able to understand people liking this game, but to me, V3's writing flops. Danganronpa used to have a more defined set of rules, where for the most part, common sense can be trusted. V3 lacks the realism I was expecting, and I’m not even talking about things like there being a talking robot as a student with really highly advanced AI, or how Despair came to ruin the world. Danganronpa treated Despair as if it was a rule of the world, an aspect of it that can cause someone to do insane things, and more importantly, almost anyone could fall for it, even us if we were in that world. Even LUCK in this world seems to have a defined logic (both Naegi and Komaeda’s version of it). I can still accept things like that because they are a part of the DR Universes “rules.” It’s just that V3 seems to unintentionally break a lot of rules of common sense without acknowledging it as being something to expect out of that world.
V3′s main gimmick, the thing that people love about it, is that it aims to be as unpredictable as it can get. That would be fine… if it was done properly and researched well. Murder mysteries that are good have to have reason and logic. While there were a few times in previous games where I really questioned the writing of it (Like Trial 4 in DR2 where Nekomaru is able to hang off of a doorknob??? Or even how was Hiyoko killed? We never discussed a murder weapon), at the very least, the majority of the game made sense, and, if you really pay a lot of attention, you can figure out exactly how it happened because of it. In V3, the trials are just downright ridiculous. In almost every trial in V3, there’s questionable decisions made. How is it that all of these murderers were so lucky for things to work that well? You can argue they still made a mistake, and that is how we catch them, but at the same time, they also make other mistakes that somehow worked. Ch1, we were made to believe Kaede was able to hit Rantarou’s head precisely. Ch 2 had a slew of problems, but the worst was that Kirumi’s CG shows her sliding down the ropeway on a tube tied at two ends, and uf that's what happened, she absolutely would have flopped down into the pool. Ch 3, Kiyo sticks a sword in Kaede’s chest and spins the statue letting it conveniently hit the lock. Ch 4… well actually it made a lot of sense, mostly because the writers could manipulate the world as they pleased. Ch 5, a dying Ouma writes a full three hour-ish script with every possible scenario within, at most, half a night. It was later seen that Kaede did not succeed in killing Rantarou the way she had, but she’s the only one where things didn’t miraculously work out for her (erm… well not that it would have, since she died trying anyways).
It’s not even just trials. The student council arc implies Angie brainwashes the members. You can see a hint of proof from her FTEs. It isn'treally acknowledged, in fact all that had yo do with Angie's plans dies with her, except for Kiibo who for one night tries to get Saihara not to roam at night. There is the fact that Kaito trusts Maki, even though she’s a trained killer, and not Ryoma, a person guilty of one murder and just as, if not more, in need of confidence, is also really weird. Ouma is left practically alone for most of the game, only really gaining importance in Ch 4. Kaito later says he can’t just leave a guy like that alone, when he did. In fact, everyone did, despite being concerned about him and Gonta. At the very least you would expect Shuichi to give more than a passing thought to Ouma, show more concern? Shuichi’s just not one to get involved with anyone, though, it would seem. And one other thing that bothers me, everything to do with the alliance between Miu and Kokichi. When did it start? How? How was Miu even able to create what Ouma wanted her to when everything they showed her invent up until her death (within the main story, mind you) was really simple. She creates a drone and gives Kiibo a few really simple functions… and later on had all the weapons needed to take down Monokuma, and still  gets scared out of her mind. Ouma in general just gives way to too many plot conveniences, so much so it is hard to say whether you should give him credit or not. He takes a key card and we never know where it leads to, he and Gonta planning the murder of Miu all depends on his testimony, him knowing Miu would be capable of inventions to this extreme and allying with her, while she somehow trusts him enough to not blab, and most importantly, somehow figuring out that there had to be an audience and hinting at it regularly.
Over all, the plot was made too convenient. It is way too convenient for things to happen as they did, and they really just build it up, shoving in faces just how much better this game was in every aspect. It’s really flashy, but that doesn’t make this game good, let alone better.
And one last problem I want to address, the story takes way too many ups and downs. One scene, everyone wants to die/give up and starts to cry about their situation. It whiplashes back to hope and never giving up by someone like Kaito or Kiibo. Then it is rejected once again, because a new piece of evidence has been shown, then it whiplashes back again because we can’t give up hope/we just gotta believe! It really just gets so tiring watching these characters go on and on about it. It wastes so much time, and honestly I’m not sure how to feel about the characters at times because they would annoy me so much with their emotions. I feel like in DR1 and DR2, even DRAE, the descent to despair was much slower or less of a common occurrence. I was actually able to feel dread and devastation for these characters because the game let me have the time to feel the weight. In this game, as much as I like the cast in general, it was just getting harder to sympathize with them much. They'll shoot all the way back up again, anyways, right?
I’m really thrashing the plot of this game a lot, but I gotta say they didn’t ruin everything.  Now to the thing V3 does best: characters. Not their backstories, mind you (only half, or probably less than half, of the FTEs are really worth doing for backstories). Each of these characters were given such unique personalities. Sure, it may overlap with personalities we’ve seen before, but there is a great mix of personalities. These characters are all really unique, and best of all is how even in the main story, we get quite a bit out of them since ever character was given a fairly important role. Some of them end up being just murderers as their main role *cough*Kiyo*cough* and that’s their end role, but unlike in other Danganronpa games, the first chapter’s victims are given importance acknowledged later on in the game. I don’t agree with all of them, but I will give SC recognition for commendable effort in making every character hold some importance in this story. The cast is truly amazing, but I sincerely wish they weren’t wasted on this over-the-top game with an overall poorly planned out story. Even characters I didn’t really like, I end up liking more as soon as they are set in a different storyline (like the UTDP Mode, as an example).
4: Did free time events change your opinion about a certain character? What did you learn about the character through these events?
I mean, quite honestly my strongest answer here is Kiyo, lol. Kiyo. I was having my doubts about his character. I’d already been spoiled he was into incest and killed two girls for a ritual, so I was prepared to meet a total creep and come to not like him. So very wrong. Kiyo’s FTEs were so interesting. I had interest in what things he taught Shuichi about folklore and customs, and it helped that Shuichi was also a willing and interested student! His personality was refreshing, and they even added a bit of humor to it regarding his mask XD I am really sad that they decided they had to make him a creepy mass murder in an incestuous relationship, and most importantly, revealed all of that last minute. He was already an interesting character, I don’t think killing him off right after that unnecessarily ridiculous reveal was good. It would have been pretty fascinating if it turned out he didn’t kill Angie, though! Then maybe this incesturous serial murder would actually be more than just a surprising factor? If he survived, that would have been very interesting to see how he is dealt eith once the others are aware of hiw dangerous he is. Still, I’m just not a fan of what they did to Kiyo, I feel like they could have done him much better.
20: Does Shuichi make a good protagonist? Why or why not?
Suichi is an okayish protagonist. Sometimes, I think I mostly just unfairly compare him to Hinata. He’s not really great to me because he’s hard for me, personally, to relate to. I think that his backstory that was revealed through Kaede, and later Kaito, could have been made stronger and fit the theme just slightly more if the man he convicted was innocent, thinking he exacted vengeance, and after execution, the true murderer was revealed. (Maybe that would give away too much actually XD I just got the idea from watching people play Hidden Agenda, lol). I just don’t personally think that the canon backstory for Saihara is that strong? Then again, I have the same ideals as Kaito and Nanami, where murder is murder, in the end (only thing that bars it is if it is in self defense).
Saihara was designed to be a more grey character, much more sympathetic to those who commit murder for a noble/good reason. In general, it was hard for me to look at what Shuichi says or does, and go “yup, I would make the same choice,” but at the same time, it does make him different from the typical protagonist. I felt a lot more in tune with Kaede and admired her far more as a protagonist than I had Shuichi, and she wasn’t even given a backstory. At the same time, I find it ironic that the one with a pretty defined history became protagonist, since almost every other protag has little to none (Mostly because of a lack of talent?). I have no hatred towards Shuichi, and I do love some of the relationships he has with his classmates, but because of the story, it just feels he isn’t as close to other members of the class. A lot of it focuses on Kaito and Maki. At the same time, I didn’t dislike it that much because I love those interactions, but he barely interacts or seem to even care about other characters. Ouma should have been kept on better watch, for example.
He’s been described as even better than Hajime, and I personally don’t see it. Hajime had a very strong character arc that was at least consistent the whole game, while Saihara may arguably have a very great shift in character, a good deal of it is super concentrated at the end, and he is even quicker to give up than any protagonist (except maybe Komaru? However even she refuses to die). His true shining moment is in the last chapter (honestly it was a good moment and I can admit the resolution is better than Hajime who needed to lean on his memory of Chiaki to gain the courage tonend his killing game).
Shuichi being the one willing to die to end the killing game is amazing, but then he lives, and I just gotta stare at the screen asking Spike Chunsoft why they had to ruin that as well?
The game left me exhausted, and I just feel like Shuichi as protagonist, who lets things happen quite a lot, or relies on others to take action instead, was not really helping me like this game.
----
As an aside, I honestly don’t mean to be so harsh on this game, but V3 was just such a let down… like having the game tell you everything that happened in the game was fake was enough, and trying to continue giving what had happened to the 16 kids should have been good, but then the game takes the meaning away and kills off two characters instead of all five. I understand the message V3 tries to convey, and I would agree, except it executes the message really poorly. Them making DR1-DR3 non-canon to V3? Fine. Them basically saying that everything you worked for was a big waste of time because all of it was fiction? Especially when the game makes it sound like everything in this game was better than its previous iterations?
I was left feeling hollow, like I had wasted all those hours playing as Shuichi the protag-that-I-didn't-like-much, with trials that made logical leaps to get it to work, and characters I felt I should have cared more for, but didn't.
I am very much done with Kodaka, Spike Chunsoft, and whoever else wrote V3 and DR3.
I'll just contnue to focus my energy and love on Hajime instead of watching out for any more Danganronpa that isn't the fighting game/rpg XD

20. Who do you think is an overrated character?
For dr1, Junko, Ishimaru, Celes, and Kirigiri. For dr0, Junko. For sdr2, Nanami, Gundam, Souda, and Mikan. Also Junko. For DRAE, Junko. For Killer Killer, Junko. For dr3, Nanami. And Junko. For v3, Ouma and Maki. And Junko.
30. Which character would’ve deserved to survive?
In v3 I felt like every character who died deserved to survive more than the actual survivors. :’D
In dr1, um… Ehhhh? I mean obviously they all deserve to live but the story isn’t worse for any of them dying. Ishimaru’s death could’ve been less unceremonious, I suppose.
In sdr2, they all survive but fucking Saionji still way deserved to make it to the endgame.
In dr3, every character who died except for Chisa and probably Izayoi deserved to survive more than the actual dr3 survivors. (Discounting the dr1 kids. Leave the dr1 kids alone. Sakura didn’t fucking die for this.)
In drae, Taichi. Yuta’s death sucked but it at least left a lasting impact. Taichi just dies for tragedy porn’s sake.
In dr0, FUCKING GUESS. it’s matsuda.
40. Favourite culprit?
I mean… Sakura. Obviously. Or Mondo if we’re talking an actual murderer.
In sdr2, it’s Peko.
In v3, it’s Kaito.
Overall, Sakura and Kaito.
50. Favourite game design?
Uhhhhhhhhhhh.
Sdr2, I think! :’D
60. Saddest moment?
In dr1, Sakura’s letter and the fallout of Chapter 2′s trial, probably. Naegi getting thrown under the bus in Chapter 5 was pretty bad, too.
In sdr2, also the fallout of Chapter 2′s trial. But Hinata’s breakdown in Chapter 6 was really, incredibly heartbreaking! Komaeda also in general… Uuu…
In dr0, Matsuda… Uuu… ;;
In drae, Komaru crying after Touko hugs her. And Nagisa’s breakdown.
In dr3, Juzo’s death is the clear victor. Still cried over Kizakura tho.
In v3, Ouma having his breakdown in Kaito’s flashback. Also Saihara’s downward spiral. Yeah.
70. Character you would have a sleepover with?
Sayaka, Sonia, Koizumi, Komaru, Miaya, honestly Ryouko, Kaede, Tenko, Tsumugi, and Kirumi.
80. Hope or Despair?
Hope for the future!
90. Do you like Junko?
That sure is a question. And this sure isn’t an answer.
100. Opinion on all the Protagonists!
Dr1 - Naegi’s simplicity and resolve are not to be undermined! Just because he’s simple doesn’t mean he’s not a great character and protagonist to follow! He’s absolutely deserving of his role, fuck you!
SDR2 - Hinata is a remarkable foil to Naegi and that he’s more emotionally uncertain and shaky really makes for a character you can resonate with rather be inspired by. That said, the way Chapter 6 uses dead waifu powers to pull him out of rut is a huge misstep when the theme of sdr2 is future. You can’t use the past as a crutch if you’re supposed to move on, y’know?
DR0 - Both Matsuda and Ryouko are fantastic protagonists and focus characters in different ways. Matsuda’s incredibly layered and proactive. And Ryouko gives a very unique perspective and her genuinely fucked up situation makes for some really harsh, heavy, complicated moments. Not to mention the twist at the end which makes matters a lot clearer. Now if fucking only that shitty “all according to keikaku” bullshit wasn’t a thing.
DRAE - Two solid character arcs! For dual female protagonists! That’s really neat! Komaru and Touko are definitely among the strongest parts of DRAE, both as our leads and as their relationship being the emotional core. Pretty satisfying stuff here! Some of the details could’ve been better but overall this is good shit. Even Syo gets some good character moments and character development. It may be the black sheep of the games, but it’s one of the brightest stars in this regard!
DR3 - HAHAHAAAAAA. Naegi literally does close to nothing in the last couple of episodes, Chisa is a shallow fucking plot device and a tool for man pain, and Hinata spends most of this shit MIA and then bursts in at the last minute as a very convenient Deus Ex Machina. Dr3 has no fucking idea how to write a protagonist much less any of its protagonists.
Killer Killer - I only read the second half of this so I don’t have much of an opinion. Whoops. I think Takumi’s at least alright though. I guess. That dumb ending left too much of an impact for me to really think about anything else.
V3 - Kaede was well-written and very dynamic. In Chapter 1. And Chapter 1 alone. Saihara meanwhile, um… Well his character arc is kinda just thrown out the window in Chapter 6 so he doesn’t get any real closure thus no real development. Like he’s still needy, codependent, and still has no idea what to think so he’s just rolling with whatever? Has he really changed at all? I guess he accepts that this is just the kind of person he is, but that wasn’t really what his conflict was even about? Also isn’t it kind of bad to just be like “how I am, flaws and all, is fine”? Like stagnancy is supposed to be a bad thing, right? Also his role as a detective is something he never reconciles with even when it’s continuously forced on him despite how much he doesn’t enjoy it and when it’s something he isn’t even particularly good at? Saihara’s writing is all over the damn place in general so I’d hesitate to even call him a good character but as a protagonist? Yeah he’s weeeeeeeeak. Easily the weakest and poorly defined of the games.

RP Rules
1. I will probably not reply if you just tag me in an old promo post. Send in an interaction. It's that simple- I don't know why, it's just a pet peeve that irks me.
2. If I can't read what you wrote, I won't reply.
3. Don't force your headcanons or relationships on the characters. Yelling at me because "ANGIE AND OC/N ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BEST FRIENDS!" will only get you blocked.
4. Tell me if you have any discomfort characters in your ask! That way I don't trigger you! This goes for askers with discomfort characters, too. I know not everybody likes many characters (specifically Monaca and Angie, sometimes Junko or Kokichi)! Likewise, tell me if you have any favorite/comfort characters!
5. Don't yell at me for my headcanons of the characters or their backstories. Remember they're heavily traumatized, they won't be exactly the same as in the game.
6. Avoid any g/ntle jokes, jokes about Kokichi's, Angie's, Tenko's, or Kirumi's deaths (they're my comfort characters), or too many mentions of money. They're triggering for the mod over here. The death jokes are fine when directed at the characters, but don't direct those jokes at the mod.
7. If your character has a heavily triggering backstory, it's fine, just warn me first.
8. I have a personal vendetta against OCs that are an Ultimate Despair or a mastermind for whatever reason, but I can be swayed if they're interesting enough. I will always interact with a mastermind who ran their own Killing Game, though! For example, if your OC masterminded the V3 Killing Game, I won't interact. If they had their own cast, I will!
9. Your response has to give me something to work with! Not just '"Ok."' That is the most annoying thing ever, and any roleplayers can agree with me on that one!
10. If you're a canon character, and you're super out-of-character, I probably won't respond. That makes me question my sanity for a moment- /hj
11. If you want a ship interaction, please discuss with me beforehand! It doesn't matter if you're an OC or canon character, some ships will overall make me very uncomfortable, like Oumami. All characters are single at the moment, so everyone is up for grabs. You may not date more than one of them for one muse! Exception: No romancing Monaca!

Top 16 Shuichi Saihara ships
Another Amino copy/paste and this probably be extremely controversial, but let’s give it a go posting it. This is my Top 16 Saihara ships, including crossover ships as an entry. And yes, this is my quick opinion and I know there will be controversial choices but I do explain my points and I am aware which choices are controversial and why. Major spoilers under the cut:
Tumblr media
Art source: https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=62325101
Hiyo, and finally, I’ll be actually listening to my poll results. And here, I’ll be going back to discussing two things that set this fandom on fire: Shipping and opinions. Yes, I know, the horror.
If you hadn’t guessed from the title, this will be ranking the ship of Shuichi Saihara, the Super High School Level Detective. It’s 16 because Saihara is pretty much shipped with the entire cast and more.
We’ll have NDRV3 spoilers from here on out since Saihara is a major character in the game so plot and character details will be discussed. Also, I’m unsure but I’ll add the warning anyway: This list may contain the mentions of adult themes and a bit of foul language. Since the title is so straightforward, I don’t really need to explain much with this OP so let’s begin.
16.Saiharu
Let’s start with one of my least favorite ships in the series. Also known as Harusai and Saikawa, Saiharu is a really poor ship in my opinion. Pandora hearts spoilers but, for those who read it, do you remember when Sharon and Reim randomly got married at the end for no reason other than both of them being Break’s friends? That’s how this ship feels to me. Except worse.
First off, Saihara and Maki’s personalities are way too serious so despite the many interactions they have, specifically in Chapter 3, they never find any particular dynamic making their chemistry seem weak as well and almost non-existent. The only, and I do mean the only, good exchange between the two is in Chapter 3 when Maki gets mad at Saihara for the implication she’s overweight and claiming the only woman Saihara has ever touched was his mother.
So that alone makes me feel neutral, leaning towards dislike, on the ship. Their chemistry being bland as fuck. However, that’s not what seals the deal. What does that for me is in Chapter 5, Maki tells Saihara and the others that she will not go into the hanger and attack Ouma and the group decide to believe her. What does she do? Go into the hanger and attack Ouma. When the group finds out about this, they have no reaction, Saihara included. When Maki thinks she’s the killer, she tries to sacrifice everyone, Saihara included, just to make sure Ouma’s dead. She put her personal bias against Ouma over the lives of Yumeno, Kiibo and Saihara who she knew were innocent.
Normally, I’d think this would be interesting. Relationships with conflict are actually well done. However, they don’t do anything with this. They do show concern for Maki’s attempt to kill everybody but it’s glossed over too quickly to notice. After the trial, Maki talks to Saihara about Kaito and it’s supposed to be a heartfelt scene between the two but at best, it feels plastic. At worst, it feels manipulative. I can’t believe this conversation after she tried to get him and the others killed and it’s not actually brought up past this point.
My final reason is why I hate this ship is because it feels the only appeal it has is because Kaito is dead so why don’t his two best friends hook up? I hated it when Pandora hearts did it in canon(keep in mind that Pandora Hearts is my favorite series of all time) and I hate the idea of it here. Thankfully, Japan agrees with me and dislikes the ship strongly with very few fans so making them canon wouldn’t help sales very much.
15.Saiguuji
Thankfully, Saiharu is the only Saihara ship I dislike. Let’s get to this weird ship. It’s fairly popular on twitter for some odd reason and while it’s fanbase is small outside of that, it’s few fans are incredibly vocal. I am fairly neutral on this ship.
This one is really personal taste, however. I just find it weird. I understand why it’s shipped but the fanbase’s treatment of it makes it sound like a tragic and canon love story gone wrong.
Like, if you want my perception of this ship, try looking at Korekiyo’s love hotel. That is how I see this pairing. So looking at the fanbase compared to things like that, I just… Ehh?
However, the incredibly bizarre fanbase aside, I actually do enjoy the dynamic between these two in Korekiyo’s FTEs. This is where I find the major appeal of the ship and definitely my favorite part of it. Korekiyo talking about anthropology and folklore tales to Saihara who’s patiently listening is actually very nice. I can see where people are coming from when they ship this. Even Korekiyo says he finds Saihara worthy for his sister.
Another thing to bring up why I can’t really grow to like this ship is because of their main story. Not only does Saihara expose Korekiyo as the killer, Korekiyo being rather pissed off about it, but Saihara finds Korekiyo absolutely disgusting in terms of his motive, even to the point of being relieved he dies. What also doesn’t help is he says “I will never understand you…” if you check his door after his demise which is probably one of the harsher comments protagonists give out we’ve had so far. Understandably so. So yeah, it’s not exactly a healthy ship and I personally have no care for it but eh, I see the appeal.
14.Saimugi
Another ship I am neutral on but can see the appeal for. This is really the ideal ship for those who like psychologically abusive villain X protagonist ships. I have seen some fans for it who pretty much enjoy it for the reasons I would assume they would.
Mugi seems like everyone’s friend for most of the game, Saihara included, and the two also have some optional scenes together. There’s also that scene when exploring for lab where she talks to Saihara more about her life outside of cosplaying.
However, in the final chapter of the game, you find out their friendship was a lie and Mugi was just a role for her to play inside of the script. While they weren’t close or anything, you could still feel they were friends. So not only is it heartbreaking for Saihara, but the final trial nails in Saihara’s suffering all caused by her. Having her be Amami’s true murderer, exposing his whole life being a lie, showing his audition tape of who he once was and all gloating about it as Saihara falls to a despairing state. It’s quite hard to watch and definitely impactful.
There’s also her Salmon mode ending(I stopped calling it prison mode since the localization says it this way) where she appoints Saihara into working with her in the cosplay business only for her true self to leak out implying she’s going to do worse things to him than what he expects she will. So with things like that, I can see the appeal of this ship. Although, it isn’t to my taste exactly.
13.Sairumi
Not a very popular ship but I can see the appeal. Although, outside of the goth aesthetic which I like, I am pretty much neutral on this ship. I do admit that Kirumi’s love hotel is my favorite and I actually do like her interactions with Saihara throughout the game. They’re both surface level with each other and get along swimmingly.
However, what lowers this ship for me is Kirumi’s pure salty and petty hatred for him in the second trial. I mean, he does have a nice line towards him after the trial to imply she doesn’t hate him but she was so furious he got her found out as the killer that she’s the only culprit who voted for Saihara out of pure spite.
12.Saihamatsu
Ah yes, the most popular ship in the fandom is only number 12. I’ve made a post going into detail on how I feel about this ship but I guess I’ll briefly repeat myself here. I have neutral feelings towards this ship. There are things I like about it, things that irk me about it and things that make me not care for it.
I do admit that it’s very cute and tragic. While I have my issues with Chapter 1, I actually really like how Kaede’s trial is done and thought her slow manipulation to exposing Saihara was amazing.
I also like certain moments between them in Chapter 1 like when Kaede asks Saihara if he’s looking up her skirt and he apologises, but unlike other anime girls where she’d get all pissy at him, Kaede took it rather maturely and didn’t mind. Another moment is in the investigation where Kaede finds a porno magazine, Saihara wonders why it shocked her so much and she fails to persuade him not to look with her which results in the two incredibly embarrassed. “It’s just Moobies- I mean movies!” got a laugh out of me.
However, my issues with this ship is the same issue I have with the anime Clannad. It’s pretty much “Look at this thing, isn’t it adorable? Oh fuck, now it’s dead. Feel sad” and then you have to angst over how the OTP was destroyed for the rest of the game because the game told you to. They don’t exactly expand on their relationship outside of them being cute and that’s fine, I like simple ships like Momoharu, but this one feels so plastic and forced in a lot of areas. Like when they’re investigating Amami’s corpse, she claims her heart skipped a beat when Saihara touched his corpse. I know it’s because she thinks she’s the killer but blind players are just gonna turn their head questioning why Kaede finds Saihara looking at a dead body hot.
And then there’s Chapter 6 where their relationship takes over and overshadows Mugi’s character a lot which genuinely pisses me off since we don’t get to see much of her true self. Instead of Saihara holding a grudge against Mugi for making everyone suffer throughout the killing game, they have him hold a grudge JUST because she was Amami’s true killer making Kaede falsely executed. Yes, that’s an asshole move but I think writing a script for a killing game and manipulating everyone to death is far worse. It’s like if one guy murdered a man and the other set fire to a school and killed every student inside, and you get mad at the guy who murdered a man.
11.Crossover ships
I don’t usually care for crossover ships outside of talent plan interactions like Mikan X Tenko(I really love this crossover ship due to their talent plan interaction) but I think Saihara has some nice ships in this category.
Ones I enjoy include the obvious Saihara X Kirigiri and the strangely amusing Saihara X Komaeda. Unfortunately, I don’t care much for Saihara’s crackships myself so this is a quick one. Honorable mention goes to Sakura X Saihara because they’re canon(Voice actor joke.)
10.Sairuma
Now this is a strangely popular pairing. I didn’t understand it very much at first since Saihara shows a lot of distaste towards Iruma and her love hotel… Sure was something. However, once I did her FTEs, I could see why this was liked. I wouldn’t exactly consider myself a fan but it sounds nice. Her FTEs actually imply that Iruma may have developed feelings for Saihara in which he accepted said feelings, although not agreed.
Said implication carries onto the third trial in a back route, funny enough. I wasn’t expecting Saihara to be able to tolerate Iruma the way he manages in his FTEs almost to a level where she can pretty much be considered another member to the group of V3 characters fighting for the Saiharabowl alongside Kaito, Kaede, Angie, Ouma, Kiibo and Yumeno. And yes, Iruma is the only one where they actually explain why she gives you her underwear after her FTEs unlike everyone else. What a treat.
9.Amasai
I do like this ship aesthetically and it has some really well done fanart. I’m going to have to replay Amami’s FTEs in order to talk about this more but I’m saving that for my FTEs review post which should come eventually since I finally managed to get my vita copy of the NISA version of the game. That aside, I can safely say that we’re getting into the ships I officially like starting with Amasai. Not saying this is OTP or even BROTP tier but I do genuinely like this ship. The issue is I can’t exactly put my finger on why.
I could say it’s because their personalities work so well with each other, but that’d be too simple of an explanation. I’d say it’s because of Amami’s FTEs and his Salmon mode ending. For those who are unaware, Amami is the Super High School Level Adventurer and upon learning his talent in his FTEs, he tells Saihara about his adventures of travelling across the world. He also explains to Saihara his situation involving his sisters and how he views himself as a terrible brother to let them go missing.
In his salmon mode ending, Amami offers Saihara to travel the world with him and look for his missing sisters together in which Saihara accepts. It’s one of my favorite Salmon mode endings and I found this a very sweet exchange between the two. My only issue with this ship is Amami’s kind of a dick to Saihara in his FTEs whether it’s outright or subtle. I don’t know if that’s just me but he seems a lot nicer with Kaede and a lot douchier with Saihara. Maybe it’s because he’s discussing his missing sisters which is a tough topic to bring up.
8.Saigoku
This is somewhat of a rarepair but it does have it’s more obvious fans and I can see the appeal of this one. Consider it a BROTP of mine actually. Gonta kind of acts like a respectful little brother to Saihara despite obviously being the taller one of the two. Their interactions are very pleasant and Gonta’s FTEs do show this.
What seals the deal for me though is Chapter 4. Unlike the other culprits, Saihara is incredibly firm and gentle with Gonta. Not even Kaede was given that type of exposure. Saihara is aware that Gonta doesn’t even remember murdering Iruma and is taking it easy on him because of that and being as calm and reassuring as he can to him. It’s a way that helps Gonta understand what’s going on, even if he is in tears while establishing so.
I can easily see why Chapter 4 brings tears to so many people and this touch is one of the many reasons. Saihara doesn’t want to believe Gonta is the killer even to the point of suggesting a personality switched, but he can only focus on his goal as a detective to accept that every bit of evidence points to him and the pieces connect the scenario too well. Even after Chapter 4, they try to hammer in Saihara sacrificed Gonta and he definitely feels that way.
7.Saihoshi
This is another BROTP of mine. Throughout Chapter 2, Saihara seemed like the only one who wanted to actively help Ryoma. A strategy I noticed Saihara uses on Angie, Ouma and Ryoma is that he wants to reach out and changed people thinking that’s the right way to go about it. Ouma points out why that’s wrong but I’ll get to that eventually. Here, it actually is the right decision.
Ryoma and Saihara are both able to read the surroundings which results in the two of them able to see eye to eye with each other’s ideals and the two of them refusing to go along with each other’s ideals. Saihara wants to help Ryoma while Ryoma thinks it’s useless. Throughout Ryoma’s FTEs, Saihara keeps bugging Ryoma and asking him to talk about himself to Saihara in order to gain his complete friendship which Ryoma catches onto quite easily.
Ryoma’s final FTE and their last main-story encounter made this BROTP for me. I’ll go in more depth on why Ryoma’s FTEs are so great in his Free time event review but it basically shows that Saihara’s attempts to reach out to Ryoma actually do work and Ryoma becomes willing to give a chance. In the main story, before Ryoma and Saihara get separated ending in Ryoma’s unfortunate demise, Ryoma says that he’s willing to find a reason to live in order to fight alongside everybody and Saihara’s conversations with Ryoma throughout the chapter is a huge motivation to get Ryoma to do so.
6.Saimeno
Now unlike Saiharu, this is actually a GOOD survivor type ship. What a surprise. The reason I like this ship is because Yumeno and Saihara are actually fairly similar in some ways and share a lot of chemistry.
The two of them both like to suppress their emotions, although Yumeno to a higher extent, and became more attached to the people around them as the game goes on. The dojo scene with Tenko shows that the two are similar in this regard.
They also have their differences as shown in the later half of the game. Saihara is more serious and reserved while in the second half of the game once Yumeno has opened her emotions, she’s more optimistic and throws jokes around a lot more to keep everyone’s spirits up.
I also really like their interactions in Chapter 4 and Yumeno’s love hotel. They’re extremely cute like Yumeno asking Saihara that if he was lost in thought from her beauty and then getting flustered over complimenting herself. Also, Yumeno’s artbook comment is really adorable “*pet pet* Good boy!”
5.Sainaga
This is a bit of a controversial choice, but I actually really love this ship. The reason for this is Angie’s FTEs and her love hotel. I just love the dynamic of the weird quirky girl dominating over the serious and submissive boy here. Strange, I wouldn’t think I’d enjoy a dynamic like that but apparently I do.
Angie’s final FTE has Angie admit that she’s in love with Saihara due to his aggression, and while said aggression was not Saihara’s intention, it sure got Angie to take a liking to him. And I can’t explain why but I loved their interaction. Angie’s quirky and ambiguously bizarre attitude played off of Saihara’s straight man side perfectly. It’s also a part of the FTEs that give some characterisation to Saihara as well as the one he’s hanging out with.
4.Saiten
Ah yes, I can hear people screeching in the distance. I clarified before that Tenko isn’t confirmed a lesbian, just incredibly likely is. In fact, I headcanon her as a lesbian. However, that doesn’t mean it’s a crime against humanity to ship her with a guy. If you guys can ship Komahina despite Hajime likely being straight, I can ship Tenko with Saihara and Kaito. With that out of the way, yes, I ship Saihara with Tenko.
Of course, this ship is incredibly unlikely or got a long way to go. I guess you could say Saiten has still got a ways to go. So why do I like Saiten? Well, as many people have picked up, Saihara seems to be the boy Tenko tolerates the most. She was a bit rude when her dojo showed up(not when they entered) and didn’t let him participate in the celebrity experience, but those aside, she seems to like Saihara. Or at least, she likes Saihara and doesn’t realize such considering her degenerate males thing is only delusion.
These two generally have some nice interactions throughout both Tenko’s FTEs and the main story. The dojo scene and her first FTE in particular shows that she does care about Saihara and respects him to some level despite constantly berating him for being a boy. The part of her FTE where she flips Saihara so hard he passes out, but she feels guilty and brings him to his bed soon after is one of my favorite moments in the FTEs of any of the V3 characters, really.
3.Oumasai
I have a full ship thoughts post on this and while it’s a little outdated, it still holds up opinion-wise. I find their main story interactions quite lacking outside of half of Chapter 4 and Chapter 3 but I really love the dynamic between these two in Ouma’s FTEs, Salmon mode ending and other bonus content. And yes, I am aware of how popular this ship is which results in it having a lot of fans and haters. That means that my liking to this ship and not Saihamatsu is probably going to get me some flak.
First off, I absolutely adore the aesthetic between these two. Ouma’s black, white and purple blends very well with Saihara’s white, black and blue but not in a way where they contrast so much. Saihara’s a detective and Ouma’s a supreme leader which can be bended into a cop and a phantom thief too, so their talents go hand-in-hand. Funny enough, Ouma’s love hotel is quite similar to that scenario.
Getting into their interactions and personalities, Ouma has trust issues and uses his coping mechanism to both keep himself alive and to avoid attachment to anyone. The reason for his ideals is currently unknown. However, despite everything, Ouma wants a friend. Someone who can see his true self and gain his trust. Since Saihara was a detective, he was Ouma’s opportunity to do so. Ouma’s FTEs are his attempt to get closer to Saihara and have a friend who can understand him and figure him out.
The game also implies that in the process of this that Ouma developed feelings for Saihara which is where the love for this ship spawned, thank you single-chapter-4-line-that-caused-an-entire-community-to-go-nuts. I also adore Ouma’s salmon mode ending. Not even the Super High School Level Detective can ace everything perfectly. Ouma calls Saihara out on trying to change him to reveal his true self rather than finding his true self through the fake one which is a pretentious attempt and not a strategy if you want to gain someone’s trust. However, Saihara does take up on Ouma’s idea and agrees to see his true self underneath. Unfortunately, the main story didn’t go as well and while Saihara couldn’t understand Ouma by the end, he still viewed him as his friend. Unfortunately, it was too late for that and Ouma was violently killed off.
2.Saimota
This is the true BROTP right here. After Kaede’s death, Kaito felt the need to carry on her wish and role as leader and tried to train Saihara’s confidence up and understand him like Kaede did. As a result, Kaito ended up understanding Saihara more than Kaede did. He’s what kept Saihara in line the whole time after Kaede’s death. As a result, he, along with Ouma and Kiibo, was the one who ultimately brought Saihara to confront his fear of exposing the truth and prepared him for the consequences in doing so.
Their main story summary aside, these two are pretty much the definition of a bromance. They’re a Kamina/Simon duo(I don’t like calling Kaito a Kamina clone because he isn’t, but Saimota does have a Simon/Kamina feel to it) in which there’s an unconfident but intelligent member and an arrogant but dumb member. What I find interesting however is the way they handle the Simon and Kamina type of relationship in which they have Kaito grow jealous of Saihara for being able to talk with both his mind and his heart while he can only do the latter and focus on his beliefs.
However, after Chapter 4, Kaito gains a lot of character development in which he learns to put his bias aside, use his head a little more and apologise to Saihara for venting out his jealousy onto him. It’s good that V3 gave character development to all of it’s main characters unlike the other games(DR1 had Kirigiri develop, SDR2 had Hajime develop, but DR1 still left Naegi and Togami(until the series went on and he became more of a friend to the group) for development and Chiaki and Komaeda focused more on being endearing characters than having development which isn’t a bad thing) and both Kaito and Saihara are no exception.
Also, can I just point out how Saihara acts like he has a crush on Kaito in his FTEs, like can we just talk about that beauty?
1.Saiibo
I had already made a post on this, but yes, I fucking love Saiibo. I love it a lot. It’s so cute and pure and sweet and comfy and perfect and- I really like Saiibo.
Okay yes, I admit that my favorite thing about this ship is just how cute it is. It is absolutely freaking adorable and even when I try to have a serious discussion on it, I always let my inner fangirl slide which I am proving as I type. Kiibo tries his hardest to be seen as a human and Saihara tries to help out every now and again only to end up comforting him on his failed efforts which is shown in Chapter 5.
I love how this ship is mostly background noise in the main story so it’s easy to appreciate and there’s no strong interactions nor conflict between the two so it also makes it a nice friendship in the background. In Kiibo’s FTEs, Saihara tries to help Kiibo get a career of some sort to help him feel more human and learns more about his history in the process. I’ll go in further depth in my FTE review but Kiibo’s FTEs are amazing for more reasons than the Saiibo scenes. My favorite part in Kiibo’s FTEs is his singing which is so bad Saihara is frightened by it.
And let’s not forget Chapter 6. With Kiibo bringing Saihara back to his senses, the audience erasing Kiibo’s AI through the survey poll and Saihara quite literally breaking his chains to save him. It’s definitely my favorite part of Chapter 6 and a really well done climax. And then you have Kiibo sacrifice himself for the survivors. One of the saddest moments in the game for me. There’s also Kiibo’s love hotel which is also really cute. Kiibo tries to learn romance with Saihara which results in the two holding hands.. Which Saihara points out isn’t really holding hands and just shaking hands.
And those were my top 16 Saihara ships. This was a bit of a short list, especially for one that took so long, but I thought it wouldn’t be fair if I gave in depth paragraphs to Saiharu, Saihamatsu and Oumasai while Saiibo, Saiguuji and Sainaga got almost nothing. I hope you enjoyed this quicky at the very least.

Just thoughts about some of the official NDRV3 translations.
I just wanna discuss a few of the things I’ve seen talked about here and there. As a couple of side notes, (1) these are just my opinions. You’re free to disagree, but don’t lose your mind over it.
(2) There is no one true way to translate a language. Give the same text to a bunch of different translators and they will all come back with different results. Therefore, there can be multiple “correct” translations of a single text. And in the end, fans are allowed to use whichever they like best.
(3) Literal meaning isn’t all that makes up a language. Keep in mind that translating is a balancing act between meaning, nuance, and feeling. Sometimes you need to choose one over the other. Translators will try their best to minimize this, but some things are bound to get lost in translation. This applies to any language.
And (4) what counts as an acceptable English equivalent for a fan translation may not be appropriate for an official localization, and vice-versa. This is because they target different audiences, and naturally, the same text is perceived differently by different people. NDRV3 fan translators will assume their audience is familiar with Japanese media, know a bit of the language and culture, and have played the past DR games. On the other hand, the official localization is targeting a general English-speaking audience to sell their game as much as possible. This includes those who are new to DR and Japanese media, and the localization team needs to take care not to alienate them, since they make up the bulk of the western audience.
Anyways, if you’re interested about my thoughts so far or are curious about a few of the localization choices, keep reading for more. But note that I’m not a professional or veteran translator, I’m a young Japanese-American who likes anime and translates for fun. Don’t take my opinions as the word of God.
There are no spoilers.
Here are some things about the localization that I agree and disagree with:
STRONGLY AGREE (I wish I thought of that):
Luminary of the Stars, Kaito Momota - This is great, they managed to make it sound both cool/epic and short/sweet, while capturing the nuances of his catchphrase 宇宙に轟く百田解斗, uchuu ni todoroku Momota Kaito “I am Kaito Momota, who will become well-known/famous throughout space”, but in a “they will speak of me in legends” or “my legends will spread throughout the galaxy” sort of way. I’m jealous.
Nyeeeeeh - Cute, funny, and lazy! Admittedly I have trouble translating unusual onomatopoeias, and Himiko’s habitual んなー was no exception. Literally spelled as nnaa, I tried to translate it as “uhnaa”, but I still wasn’t quite happy with it. “Nyeeeh” is so much better gaaaah.
AGREE
K1-B0/Keebo - Probably the most controversial, and I’m probably offending people by saying this, but there’s actually more to Kiibo’s name than you’d think. Before they released his name, I was wondering how they would translate it, since there are just so many elements in his name that a simple “Kiibo” or “Kibo” can’t carry over. I think this deserves a longer explanation, but basically, K1-B0 and nickname Keebo preserve most of the nuances and intentions that were in the original Japanese. From the obvious and stupid humor, to the cuteness, to emphasizing his robotness and humanness at the same time, to giving off the right first impressions, and to setting up some of the intended expectations... The only thing that’s missing is the “hope” wordplay. But hey, unless you can think of a feasible way to overlap “Kiibo” with “hope”, it’s just one of those things that’s gonna get lost in translation. Also, whether “K1-B0″ and “Keebo” will work still depends on the execution of the dialogue. However, both キーボ and K1-B0/Keebo gave me the same “wow that’s so stupid, I love it” reaction as both a Japanese and American fan, and I was just really impressed by how they were able to replicate it so perfectly. Anyways, I can still understand why people would hate it, since it is just such a jarring non-name. But as long as you don’t work for NISA, you’re still allowed to call him whatever you want. In case you haven’t noticed, the Japanese language doesn’t use alphabets, and there’s no one true way to romanize his name. So K1-B0, Keebo, Kiibo, Kibo, Ki-bo, and Kībo are all acceptable ways to spell キーボ. However, “Kibou” is incorrect, since that’s just “hope”. It’s the difference between キーボ and キボウ. But I won’t hunt you down for it, it’s not that big a deal.
Oma - Similar to Kiibo, except not nearly as complicated or as big a deal as fans make it out to be. Ouma, Oma, and Ōma are all acceptable ways to romanize 王馬. But since they already used the “Oma” method of spelling for every other character in every other game, making an exception just for “Ouma” for no real reason would be inconsistent and unprofessional. The “Oma” spelling is also the most common way to localize Japanese names (ex. Pikachu from ピカチュウ pikachuu and Goku from 悟空 gokuu). Even among real-life Japanese people living in America, they are more likely to spell their name the “Oma” way, though the “Ouma” way isn’t uncommon either. The fact “Oma” means “grandma” in another language is irrelevant, since last I checked, this is an English localization. As an example, did you know Japanese people find the French phrase “qu'est-ce que c'est” really funny? It’s cuz it sounds like ケツクセ... as in, “Your butt stinks”. But I’m not gonna tell the French to stop saying “What’s up?” because they’re implying someone farted in Japanese. Or hey, even my own first name means “newly-bloomed na flower” in Japanese (新菜 nina), but it basically means “fresh vegetable” (xīncài) in Chinese. Or an even better, real-life localization example would be Miyazaki’s Laputa: The Castle in the Sky. The fact that la puta means “the whore” in Spanish didn’t force the English localization to change the name of the castle, though they did understandably drop it from the title. “Laputa” is something the Spanish dub needs to worry about, which they did, they changed the name to “Lapuntu”. Anyways getting side-tracked. As you can see, a normal word in one language can mean something silly or inappropriate in another language. This literally happens all the time. And if you don’t like “Oma”, you’re still free to call him “Ouma”. Just because it’s unofficial, doesn’t mean it’s incorrect. Really. It just. Does not. Matter. Also here’s every other main series DR character who got the same treatment: Kyoko (Kyouko) Kirigiri, Mondo Owada (Oowada), Sakura Ogami (Oogami), Toko (Touko) Fukawa, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu (Kuzuryuu), Kazuichi Soda (Souda) Rantaro (Rantarou) Amami, Ryoma (Ryouma) Hoshi, Shuichi (Shuuichi) Saihara, Korekiyo Shinguji (Shinguuji), Kirumi Tojo (Toujou), Monotaro (Monotarou)
Piano freak - Not quite sure why people were upset about this other than excessive nitpicking. In Japanese, you could call nerds “(obsession) idiot” in the way that all they care and think about is their obsession and nothing else. But this isn’t how “idiot” is used in English, so the best equivalent is actually “(obsession) freak”. However, “idiot” is acceptable for a fan translation, since many anime fans are familiar with the meaning and connotations of バカ (baka).
Monokuma Kubs/MonoKubs - Pronounced Monokumaazu, the direct translation is “Monokumarz” or “Monokumaz”, which works just fine for a fan translation, but doesn’t quite carry over the connotations for a general English-speaking audience. It’s like the huge gap in feeling between “The Doraemons” in English and “The Doraemons” (ザ・ドラエモンズ) in Japanese. (How many of you are actually familiar with The Doraemons btw lmao.) Using “the”, the plural “s”, and “ers” (like workers and singers) is normal in English, but using them in Japanese gives off squad or team vibes with a dash of silly humor. “MonoKubs” does just that while sounding nice and simple. “MonoKubz” would’ve been great too, and fans can still use whatever they like best.
NEUTRAL
Voice recasting - One word. Budget.
Dub quality - I think the quality is pretty expected since the voice acting industry in America isn’t nearly as big as in Japan. But I also have zero interest in dubs, so I’m pretty biased on this one oops. My assumption is they’re doing the best they can. Also English speakers mispronouncing foreign names is nothing new. Even though I do find the memes funny, I don’t expect people who don’t speak Japanese to get it perfect, just like I don’t expect Japanese voice actors to get their English perfect.
Mastermind - The most literal translation of 首謀者 (shubousha) would’ve been “ringleader”, except “ringleader” doesn’t sound nearly as cool or memorable as “mastermind”. So they chose impact and rule-of-cool over literalness and subtlety. Which is understandable. Besides, if they wanted to be literal, they should’ve gone with “puppetmaster” (黒幕 kuromaku) in the first game. I think both “ringleader” and “mastermind” are acceptable here.
First-name basis/no honorifics - I personally prefer when translations preserve honorifics. It just says a lot about the character and their relationships. However, just like there are no perfect English equivalents for all the Japanese ways to say “I” and “you”, there’s just no exact English equivalent for all these honorifics, so using them risks alienating the general audience. Also, this is what they went with for the other two games, so it’d be a little bit awkward changing it now. This decision doesn’t match my personal preference, but it’s a completely understandable and common one.
DISAGREE
Male delinquents - Tenko uses the term 男死 (danshi) for men, which is a pun on “men” and “death” to show her disgust for them. However, there’s a big difference in meaning and implication between “I hate male delinquents” and “I hate males”. Also not as punny as “menace” (credit to @oumakokichi for the pun). I worry they did this to avoid offending guys... but there’s no way to know for sure. My opinion of "male delinquents” could also change depending on its execution.
Kiyo - I can understand that English-speakers might have trouble pronouncing Japanese names that are more than three syllables... but this feels like they’re dumbing down the audience a bit. Come on, let the boy keep his name!
STRONGLY DISAGREE (Just. Why.)
Gonta’s Tarzan speak - Gonta has the intellect of a child, and speaks like one, sure... But he doesn’t speak like a caveman. He’s perfectly fluent and literate in Japanese, so this seems like inappropriate stereotyping to me. My guess is someone really misinterpreted Gonta’s character and dialogue, or wanted to treat feral children “realistically”. Not a fan of this at all.
UNDECIDED
Atua - Honestly not sure what to think of this, since I know nothing of Polynesian mythology. I don’t know if naming Angie’s god after a real-life term for Polynesian gods and spirits is appropriate, since we don’t know if Angie’s god is actually an atua, and especially because her religion is depicted as shady and cultish. I think depicting her religion this way would’ve been (arguably borderline) acceptable as long as her god remained unspecific and made-up. And considering that most Japanese people are agnostic, possessing a general, unspecific belief in a god or infinite gods/spirits, I did assume this was the intent of the original context. But I just don’t know enough about Polynesian culture to form a concrete opinion. Like, does the Japanese text make references to Angie’s god being an atua? Are there any atua that fit the description? Or is it like Shinto where there are an infinite amount of all kinds of kami? How much care is being put into accuracy and respect for the culture in the English localization? My gut reaction is “strongly disagree”, but until I hear some thoughts from Polynesian DR fans, I’m going to remain undecided.
Anyways, just wanted to get my thoughts out there. In general it seems the localization is trying their best, but there are a few glaring decisions. Again, you’re welcome to disagree. Just remember your human decency and don’t be rude. Everyone lives a different life and perceives things differently, and just because something is imperfect or unpopular doesn’t mean you can’t like it or you have to hate it.
Thanks for reading, I welcome any friendly comments and additions!

Note
Is it just me, or does Ouma not call Gonta by any sort of honorific? I know most of the cast uses first-name basis with Gonta, but they'll still call him "Gonta-kun," unless we have characters like Hoshi or Harukawa who don't affix them to others in the first place. However, Ouma usually uses the affectionate (?) suffix "-chan," to others and with characters he's mean to he'll give them a nickname (ex. Kiibo) so what do you think this means? Is it possible Ouma disliked Gonta from the start?
It’s not just you! He definitely doesn’t use any sort ofhonorific with Gonta. Gonta and Kiibo are the only two exceptions to Ouma’susual “-chan” suffix—but I don’t think it’s specifically to be mean, exactly.
In Kiibo’s case, referring to him as “キー坊,” or“Kiiboy,” stems a lot more from the urge to tease, exactly. It’s partly a jabat Kiibo’s robot status (i.e. very tongue-in-cheek “you’ll be a real boysomeday”), but it’s also because Kiibo is so incredibly easy to tease about it.A lot of Ouma’s prankster side tends to show through whenever he finds an “easytarget,” and Kiibo is so incredibly easy to rile up about the whole robot thingthat I think he can’t quite resist teasing about it whenever possible. Even asearly as Chapter 2, the two of them have a pretty back-and-forth banterestablished; given Ouma’s love of comedy, I wouldn’t be surprised if he wastrying to borrow from manzai a little bit.
With Gonta, however, I think it’s actually the opposite ofteasing. Certainly, he does tease Gonta with his pranks and lies, especiallyprior to Chapter 4 when everything gets so horribly messy. And Gonta goes alongwith it for the most part and occasionally even finds out that Ouma was messingwith him and gets payback for it (make no mistake, Ouma having to touch bugsfor hours on end in Chapter 2 was probablynot part of his original plan. Gonta won that fight). But Gonta is such asincere, genuine, honest person, with no ill intentions towards anyone, andwhile Ouma knew that those were risky qualities in a killing game, I think partof him also couldn’t help but respect that.
Calling “Gonta” simply by his first name with no nicknamesor honorifics or anything else suggests, to me at least, that Gonta was just…Gonta. The fact that most of the group called Gonta by his first name suggests,to me at least, that it was nearly impossible for any of them to dislike him. He may not have been particularly closewith anyone in the group per se, but he was still so obviously well-intentionedand sweet that it was probably hard for any of the characters to feel as thoughthey had to be formal with him, per se (unless they were generally formal witheveryone, like Kirumi).
I do think some of the group’s first-name-basis with Gontadoes, however, stem from no one taking him seriously. Many of the othercharacters perceive Gonta a lot like… well, a lot like NISA is going to localizehim. They assume that because of the way he grew up and because of his lack ofexposure to certain information, he’s just plain stupid, and this is clearlynot the case. Gonta isn’t the brightest, of course, but he’s perfectly smartwhen it comes to his area of expertise, and he has general, practical knowledgeabout the way the world works.
His eye for detail is impressive (he noticed the “bug” inChapter 2 and had the foresight to tell the group about it), he realized thestars around Saishuu Academy were different from any of the constellations hewas familiar with, and he even figured out how Kirumi’s ropeway was crafted inthe Chapter 2 trial. Gonta is easily confused by things he’s not familiar withand led astray because he’s naïve, but that doesn’t mean he’s an idiot by anymeans. But because he perceives himself as an idiot, often calling himselfstupid and apologizing for it, the other characters subconsciously latch ontothis, and by the time Chapter 4 rolls around, none of them think he was verysmart, at all.
Interestingly enough, however, most of Ouma’s commentstowards Gonta calling him an idiot are reserved only for Chapter 4. Much of his outburst during the trial, including seemingly getting very angry, calling Gonta stupid, and telling himto confess to his sins, seems to have been a calculated act in order to promptSaihara to step up and explain the full details of the case to Gonta in hisplace. By bringing to light the fact that Gonta kept saying “I don’t know, Idon’t understand, what’s going on” in Chapter 4 again and again, Saiharafinally caught onto the fact that the headset cables being switched around hadcaused Gonta to lose his memories of what happened in the VR world.
Ouma’s angry outburst is, in fact, so wildly out ofcharacter compared to his previous behavior that I can’t help but feel it hasto have been an act; getting upset enough to yell at people isn’t his style atall, and we know he can keep his composure relatively well even after being choked, strangled, poisoned, etc. Getting so obviously, blatantly upset and angry atsomeone as obviously confused and bewildered as Gonta helped to cement hisvillain role too, turning the group against him even before he “revealed” thathe was just “pretending to care” at the end of Chapter 4.
Prior to Chapter 4, however, while Ouma does tease Gonta, heoften points out that his gullibility and naïveté will only get him killed inthe end. He calls Gonta “a simple person,” in Chapter 2, but not “stupid,” or “anidiot.” All in all, his pranks and teasing with Gonta prior to everythinghitting the fan in Chapter 4 were relatively harmless—he knew Gonta would bequick to believe him or anyone else about anything, and he kept that in mind.
So his referring to Gonta by his first name, withouthonorifics, seems like a reflection of Gonta’s “simple” personality. Oumahimself couldn’t afford to be trusting or honest or open when he was so deeplyparanoid by nature, especially not while the killing game itself was stillongoing. But I think he respected that Gonta was one of the few genuinely open, honest people in the game who wasn’t keeping huge secrets himself. Unlike Kaedeand Momota, both of whom spoke loudly about cooperation and honesty but hidthings from the rest of the group, Gonta was relatively straightforward.Whenever he found anything, or whenever he wanted to try a plan of his own(like fighting the Exisals) he came and talked to the rest of the groupimmediately.
If Ouma had ever actually disliked Gonta, I think it would’veshown quite clearly. He dislikes Maki pretty openly, after all, and it shows. He still refers to her by her last name and “-chan” for most of the game, andoccasionally even uses “Harumaki-chan” for her when he particularly wants to piss her off. Generally, he becomes even moresarcastic and confrontational than usual when he’s talking to someone heclearly dislikes, rather than cold or formal.
Ouma’s behavior towards Gonta just before his execution inthe Chapter 4 trial shows that he knew good and well that what he was doingsomething inexcusable to him, even if it was for the sake of stopping thekilling game. Midway through one of his speeches, his façade even slips, and hestops and speaks much more quietly, as though to himself, saying “That’s right…I do owe Gonta an apology… I really am doing something horrible…” before seguingback to his usual act.
He also, as we know, keeps finding it harder and harder tocarry on that act in the moments before Gonta’s death. Minutes prior to Gonta’sexecution, he actually begs to be executed with him, saying that he actuallycan’t stand it and that if they’re both responsible then they should both bekilled. The only reason he doesn’t actually do so in the end is because Gontaasks him not to, saying that he should stay alive and “become friends witheveryone,” to which Ouma reluctantly agrees.
Given everything we know about Ouma’s very genuine hatredfor killing, death, and suffering, his breakdown just prior to Gonta’s deathcomes under a very different light than his post-trial villain routine wouldsuggest. He had absolutely nothing to gain by asking to be executed, or askingthe rest of the group very specifically not to blame Gonta or hate him for hiscrime. Had he actually hated Gonta or looked down on him, he would’ve rubbedsalt in the wound, exposing his “betrayal” while he was still alive. There wasliterally nothing in it for him to risk his own death—unless he really did feelawful about the horrible, inexcusable thing that he was doing and was waveringat the last minute.
What Ouma does to Gonta is inexcusable and awful, but hedoesn’t do it out of hatred. I wouldn’t say that Ouma ever hated or disliked Gonta, not in Chapter 4, and certainly not at any point before that. If anything, thefact that Gonta was one of the few characters to trust him implicitly and whowas always nice to him, as well as the fact that he wasn’t someone who wouldusually kill anyone under normal circumstances, probably meant Ouma couldn’thelp but like him. But because of the killing game, and because of the horribleboiling point things came down to in Chapter 4, he had to make cold, hard, awful decisions, and he knew that making friends and getting genuinely close topeople wasn’t something he could afford.
He manipulates Gonta in Chapter 4 and sends him to hisdeath, but he certainly never wanted him dead—part of the reason he used Gontafor his plans was in fact because Gonta actually volunteered to come with himto search for the “motive” that Monokuma hid, saying that he would protect him. That was the point at which Ouma seemed to realize he could use Gonta for hisplans, but it doesn’t seem as though he was thinking of using Gontaspecifically prior to that.
In any case, I believe the way he refers to Gonta is a veryrare show of sincerity, rather than cheekiness, sarcasm, or dislike. Underother circumstances, I think he would’ve quite liked to have been Gonta’sfriend—although needless to say, he would’ve still pulled pranks on himrelentlessly and been a huge brat all around.
I hope I explained myself well. Thank you for asking, anon!

NDRV3 - “陰キャ原”
Lately I got several messages when they asking about... this one  “陰キャ原” they’re always asking. I’m sorry if I answer very late and I want to finish it right now.
This post is huge spoiler warning if you didn’t finish the game especially final chapter. Don’t try copy  陰キャ原 and paste in Twitter or Pixiv’s search bar unless you’re really curious to know.
(I recall oumakokichi had stated and explained about this “character” before but I can’t remember where it was)
Who is “陰キャ原”? Why I see this name everywhere especially in Twitter and Pixiv?
陰キャ原 means Inchara, a combination name of In character + Saihara. Inchara is a character featured in final chapter of NDRV3, where mastermind reveal audition videos for the killing game, showing what sort of people they were prior to participating. When Shuichi were shocked upon that video shows his former self willingly participated in a killing game and as one of Danganronpa fanatics. Thus, Inchara was born and the reveal of his existence becomes “One Scene Wonder” trope in Danganronpa’s history.
Inchara has another alternative name, “影原” means Kagehara, in English name, Shadowhara. This fan nickname comes from Shin Megami Tensei Persona′s reference, where Shadow bosses are taking as a human form and impersonating them with fake or true desire personality. Inchara and other students including who didn’t show up in the audition video, something akin to Shadow in Persona series.
Tumblr media
Inchara was fan nicknamed by Japanese fans due the fact Shuichi shows his personality in audition video is very Out-Of-Character and found it very funny that our protagonist is actually an otaku. At the same time, many fans found this very wrong in so many levels. Thankfully Kodaka gave a huge hint from his Twitter.
According to Kodaka, he said players have to find out the contradiction in prologue chapter after they were finished the game. In prologue chapter, Former Shuichi weren’t crazy or feel obsess when the first time we saw him before final chapter. There are difference between Former Shuichi from prologue chapter and Inchara from final chapter:
Former Shuchi is sane and nothing looks like Inchara, no feel obsess, hype or acting like a crazy otaku, Shuichi being his usual self even after the end of prologue chapter. Inchara on the other hand, many Japanese fans believe there are several famous theories about him, I list two theories there:
A crazy otaku who cosplays as Shuichi and working together with mastermind.
A mastermind Tsumugi, disguises as everyone and makes fake audition videos. (We’ve seen Shuichi, Kaede and Kaito so far). Tsumugi can cosplay all DR characters EXCEPT MUKURO from two previous DR games, and surprisingly she can change her voice and size whenever she cosplays as someone else. The irony is that Tsumugi is allergic to cosplay as “real people” but she says she can cosplay due all previous DR characters are fictional characters, however this is maybe one of Tsumugi’s lie. Many fans joking Tsumugi has another talent called “SHSL Seiyuu”.
Meaning Inchara is not Shuichi we always know and they could be an impostor who disguises as him to make Shuichi fall into the despair. Well Shuichi believes this is one of mastermind’s trump card or not until proven otherwise.
How and why Inchara becomes an ensemble darkhorse. What about Kaede and Kaito? What about everyone else? And what do you mean they are separate character?
I think Inchara becomes ensemble darkhorse because...... it’s another main protagonist becomes crazy person. Remember Makoto had been brainwashed after watching Despair Video and Hajime is almost lost his hope and says “SHUT UP!”? Well this is one of them.
Although, the strong point about Inchara is that he has share similarity with Izuru Kamukura: As a plot twist, unexpected, and different identity character. Believe it or not, Inchara is your new SPOILER-KUN, just like how everyone calling Izuru Kamakura as Spoiler-kun without revealing his name for those who didn’t finish the game. Except Inchara had little contributed to the plot but makes Shuichi falls into despair.
Inchara’s personality and characteristic are come from audition video but few traits at least. Until his personality contributed by Japanese artists, depend on how they view him as an otaku. You;ll see how many times Inchara being creep whenever you see him buying Danganronpa merchandise.
As for Kaede and Kaito, I think everyone comments “They’re just their real usual self and nothing special about them. Still sad to hear about that”. Then there’s Inchara all of a sudden. You know, I have to admit I were shocked too when they’re revealed audition videos.
The reason why Inchara as a separate character or at least I can say he is a Doppelganger. As I mention it above, everyone believes Inchara and Shuichi are not same person. There are good reasons why everyone tagging him “Inchara” or “Kagehara”. Sometimes they tag it with their both name including “Saihara Shuichi” as well. It’s not wrong if someone calls Inchara as “Saihara Shuichi”, hence they have done this before even since Izuru Kamakura’s first appearance in SDR2 and still calling him as “Hinata Hajime”.
So yeah, Inchara has own character and his popularity goes skyrocket after that big reveal in final chapter, even despite he appears briefly in addition video. Just........ check all these links, you’ll see why.

OH, HAVE FUN WITH YOUR NEW SELFCEST BY THE WAY.
Does that mean we have to tag new name for fake Saihara?
I would say yes, but I don’t think that’s not best answer I think of. It’s up to you, whether you want Inchara / Kagehara as brand new character or still tag him as Shuichi Saihara. By the way, not just him though, same goes for all characters including mastermind. Although..... Fake Saihara, Fake Akamatsu and Fake Momota are only characters who show their “true” personality in audition video so far. What about other characters?
Some Japanese artists having fun with this shadow / fake characters and come up with a lot of theories about their real personality. Some artists drawing Kirumi being a lazy person, Hoshi as pervert character  Gonta as giant bully or actual a genius student who acts like a normal person, Himiko being an energetic person and so on. So yeah, you can see where is this going.
Now here’s the thing: We don’t know all unseen fake characters’ personality, so I can see why someone says “We have to tag Kage / Shadow + their last name” if there is no official work about unseen fake students. I can give you an example:
If you see fanart of Kirumi being lazy or any OOC moment, just tag “Kagejou”, “ Inrumi”, “Shadorumi” or any name you can think of.
If you want recommendation, I think Kage and Shadow sound good choice for tagging their name. Here’s the list I always mention them whenever I talking with my friends. All their name are based of their family name, Inchara is the only one who got trend nickname in Twitter while other characters haven’t got one (I always get rid out W word from “Shadow” except Kaede and Shuichi, don’t ask me why):
Shuichi - Inchara / Kagehara / Shadowhara / Kiimoihara (Creepyhara)
Kaede - Kagematsu / Shadowmatsu
Kokichi - Kage-ouma / Shadouma / Innocent Ouma (You will see a lot of Innocent Ouma fanarts whenever you see him acting awkward and being nice person)
Himiko - Kagemeno / Shadomeno
Kaito - Kagemota / Shadomota (Displays his bully personality)
Maki - Kagekawa / Kagemaki / Shadokawa / Shadomaki
Kiibo - Kiibo, just Kiibo. Unless you want to call him Human Kiibo or Prologue Kiibo. Sorry Kiibo.
Miu - Kageruma / Shadoruma
Rantarou - Kage-Ami / Shadowami / SUPER STAR AMAMI KUN (It’s a joke that Inchara wants Amami’s autograph, hence Amami is a superstar of two previous games before 53rd season. Before you ask, yes there is a fanart of Inchara buying Amami merchandise).
Tenko - Kageshira / Shadoshira
Gonta - Kage-Gonta / Shadow-Gonta (If Gonta never refer himself as a third person).
Kirumi - Kagejou / Shadorumi / Incharumi / Inrumi (For some reason I always use Inrumi, it’s kinda sounds like sort of youkai’s name)
Korekiyo - Kageshinn / Shadokiyo / Shioguji / Salt-Kiyo’
Angie - Kagenaga / Shadonaga
Ryouma - Kagehoshi / Shadohoshi
Tsumugi - Kageshiro / Shadogane
Tumblr media
One more things, it’s very important if the character is wearing school uniform, meaning it’s very easy to identify these “shadow” characters are come from prologue chapter and audition video. If character never show their OOC and same personality (After prologue and before final chapter) while wearing school uniform. meaning you don’t have tag it.
I apologize if my English is kinda mess, I did my best to elaborate easy and simple. Thank you for sending the question!

100 Post Milestone: Thorned Rose/Kirukiyo Short Shipfic (because I suck at titles)
Here it is, guys! The short story between Korekiyo and Kirumi, from the latter’s point of view. I finished it a LOT sooner than I expected... I decided to call the town that everyone is in Gaku, cause... why not? I tried my hardest on this, so I hope you all enjoy. It’s spoiler-free, so have fun reading!
As the Ultimate Maid, Kirumi Tojo was almost always tied up with some sort of job. Whether it be cleaning a household, organizing books at a library, or destroying the state, she had received just about every request possible from a wide variety of clients. Doing so many jobs left little time to relax, and as such, when the day came where zero requests were left unfulfilled, Kirumi was at a loss for what to do. Should she spend time catching up with some books? Watch a movie? Take a walk around town? The possibilities were overwhelming; just about everything seemed interesting at this point. Anything that could take away the monotony of work was welcome.
Fortunately - or perhaps, unfortunately - Kokichi Oma had offered up a suggestion to Kirumi: a blind date. Supposedly, he knew the “perfect guy” for her, and had already set up a date; it was almost like he was forcing Kirumi to go. Before she knew it, she found herself in a black dress skirt and dark red high heels, fingers closed around the black handle of the restaurant’s glass door.
She took a deep breath, ignoring the sounds of cars zooming by and people chatting it up around her. Her eyes flicked up towards the big neon sign above the door, flashing with various shades of purple, advertising the smoothly-tiled gray building as “Gaku’s Finest Dinners”. Once more, she hesitated, looking back towards the roads behind her. She could drop out and leave; perhaps do something more worthwhile with her time, rather than fall into whatever trap Kokichi had set for her. There was a bookstore right across the street, nestled neatly between a small hardware store and a pawn shop. Perhaps she could buy a novel and spend some time reading it instead...
However, a moment later, she shook her head, chiding herself for even thinking of bailing. Maybe this isn’t a trick at all... in which case, I would be not only betraying Kokichi’s wishes, but my partner as well. Her eyes narrowed, and she pulled the door open, striding inside in one swift move.
At the least, considering Kokichi had picked a meeting place for the two, he had certainly chosen well. As soon as Kirumi entered, she immediately took note of the dim purple lights stationed around the ceiling and the black carpet covering the ground. There wasn’t even a receptionist - the restaurant was simply an open space with booths surrounding the edges and a few tables scattered around the center. Each table had silverware wrapped around napkins and several empty glasses set close to the chairs, with a water pitcher in the middle. Several dark red menus were stacked next to the water pitcher - four, to be exact.
There were only a few people sitting at tables and eating, but Kirumi preferred it that way - a restaurant with two many people would have lessened her enjoyment. She took a moment to glance towards the back of the room. Nothing particularly special there - simply another glass door with a sign marked “EMPLOYEES ONLY”. Presumably, that was where the cooking went on.
All in all, while the restaurant looked rather plain, it seemed like Kirumi’s type of place. It wasn’t particularly extravagant, which was exactly what the maid liked about it. Kokichi knows me well, she mused as she looked about. Kokichi had instructed her to sit at the far right corner booth... was her date already there? Her eyes flicked over to the booth idly. Sure enough, there was someone sitting on the left side, though their features were hard to make out in the light. In addition, there were only three menus on the table.
I hope I haven’t kept him waiting. Kirumi cleared her throat as she walked over to her presumed date, taking a seat at the other end of the booth and folding her hands on the table. “I’m terribly sorry if I was late,” she commented for a moment, eyes flicking up towards her date.
However, as she took in his features, her jaw dropped.
“Kokichi said he had somebody special... but I certainly didn’t expect a classmate.” If the bandaged hands, long black-blue hair, and mouth mask weren’t enough to give it away, the smooth voice was. Korekiyo Shinguji let out a low chuckle as his amber eyes looked Kirumi over. Thankfully, he at least had the courtesy to dress up for the occasion - instead of his usual militaristic clothing, he had a brown suit with a black tie and dark red dress shoes, and wasn’t wearing his hat.
... Of course his trick would be something like this. “S-Sir Shinguji,” Kirumi commented, biting her lip as she sighed. “I’m terribly sorry about this. Kokichi simply forced me into this, and I didn’t want to leave my date sitting at a table alone... I assumed he wouldn’t have the gall to take time out of the days of my classmates.” She shook her head, closing her eyes in slight irritation, before looking back at Korekiyo.
“Well, Kokichi has always advocated for our relationship.” Korekiyo shrugged, holding one palm out in a dismissive gesture. “I had no plans for today, so there is no need to apologize. You’ve already come here, so we might as well have our date, correct?” He reached over and grabbed onto the water pitcher on the table, pouring himself a glass of water. He then set the pitcher closer to Kirumi, eyes having a slightly amused glint. “And please, call me Korekiyo. We are on a date; there is no need to be so formal.”
Kirumi couldn’t hold back a small blush springing to her cheeks. “O-Of course. Forgive me.” She mentally cursed herself; thirty seconds in and she had already been embarrassed? She was supposed to be the Ultimate Maid; a paragon of elegance and excellence. She took a deep breath to regain her composure before pouring her own glass of water, filling it to about halfway before setting the pitcher aside. “Have you decided on an order?” she inquired as she grabbed one of the remaining menus on the table, opening it up.
“Hmmm...” Korekiyo put a finger to his chin, bending down and picking up the menu next to him. He took a moment to flip through, turning each page delicately, before saying, “I believe I decided on some ramen. Specifically, this kind with tofu.” He sized it up for a moment more before putting the menu to his side. “It’s fairly cheap, so I will be able to afford it, and I always had a soft spot for tofu.” He chuckled, putting a hand to his mouth mask.
Kirumi couldn’t help but smile a little. “Sir Sh - I mean, Korekiyo... there is no need to pay. I will be doing that,” she offered as she flipped through the menu. There were all sorts of food choices here, though most of it seemed traditionally Japanese - dumplings, gyoza, the like. After a few moments, her eyes rested on the sushi section - specifically, the “California roll plate”. I suppose I’ll take that... She set her menu down and neatly folded it up.
“Please, I insist. I brought enough money to serve the both of us.” Korekiyo raised his hand, bowing his head politely. “You need not squander your money on this date. One of your caliber should spend it on more... beautiful things.”
Kirumi hesitated for a moment, processing the implications of Korekiyo’s words. ... Hmm...? “What do you mean by that, exactly?” she inquired, feeling a bit cautious as she sized up the anthropologist. Unfortunately, his expression betrayed nothing; all she could see was his cool and composed visage.
“Kukukuku...” Korekiyo crossed his arms onto his shoulders, leaning forwards slightly with the zipper of his mask shifting a little, almost as if he was grinning. “Kirumi, you are an exceptional human being. To devote yourself to your work completely, putting it above the lives of others... that is something that even I could not hope to do. You shouldn’t need to waste your currency on something you’re not particularly interested in,” he assured, grabbing onto his glass of water, unzipping his mask, and taking a swig. Unfortunately, he zipped the mask back up too quickly for Kirumi to see if there was anything intriguing under it.
... Wait, why would there be anything interesting underneath his mouth? Kirumi shoved the thought away, blushing a little at Korekiyo’s praise. He’s simply saying what he sees in me... he speaks like this to everyone, she tried to reassure herself. Surely he wasn’t interested in a simple servant like her. “Korekiyo, I-I’m perfectly interested in this date. I simply wasn’t expecting you, was all,” she said, stammering just a little.
Korekiyo studied her for a few moments, bringing two fingers to his chin, before nodding. “Hmm. I see. I am simply making sure. Regardless, please, allow me to pay. As Gonta would say, I would prefer to be the gentleman in this situation.” He chuckled and brushed back a lock of his hair. “Now, then... while we wait for our waitress, let us talk. Has Kokichi been doing well?”
As Korekiyo brought up a more casual conversation topic, Kirumi felt herself relax slightly, smiling a little. “Well, aside from setting me up on this date? He’s been doing quite well. I’m gradually helping to make his diet more healthy... if he wants me to be his ‘mother’ then I suppose I will have to look after him as if he was my own child,” she mused, waving a hand dismissively. “Regardless...”
Everything from there seemed to pass so quickly. The two talked, the waitress arrived and took their orders, the two talked some more, the waitress brought their food, and they ate in silence. It all seemed to pass by so quickly.
Too quickly.
“Thank you for the meal, Korekiyo,” Kirumi commented, feeling much more relaxed as she daintily wiped her mouth with a napkin. The food was a little spicy for her tastes, but it was certainly delicious. “I enjoyed our... date. You had better not tell Kokichi, though,” she chastised, with a hint of a joking tone in her voice.
Korekiyo nodded in understanding, folding his hands behind his back as he stood up. He had already paid the check, so all that was left was for the two to leave. “And now is where we go our separate ways,” he noted. “I enjoyed our date as well, Kirumi. You were an excellent conversation partner. May you continue to improve your beauty.” With that comment, he started for the restaurant’s door, ready to leave.
“Wait.”
Before she could stop herself, Kirumi cut in sharply, causing Korekiyo to hesitate. He turned his attention back to Kirumi, folding his arms with a slightly amused look in his eye. “Hm? What is it?”
“I... Would...” Kirumi couldn’t stop herself from blushing. Confound it all, her composure was falling again. Why did Korekiyo, of all people, bring her to a loss for words nearly every time they spoke? “... Would you care to walk with me to my home?” she managed, raising one hand a bit to try to hide her face. “I do not live far from here... it simply feels wrong to part ways here.”
“Hmmm.” Korekiyo mulled over the question, fingers tapping a bit on the nearby table. “... I don’t see why not. You will have to lead the way, but I have nothing planned for today, so I would be more than willing to accompany you.” He bowed his head, gesturing towards the door. “After you, Kirumi.”
Kirumi bit her lip, nodding a bit as she strode forwards, opening the door up. She couldn’t help but feel strangely... happy. It was a feeling she hadn’t felt in a long time. This wasn’t her normal “servant doing her job” happy, or her “everything went according to plan” happy... it felt like a different kind of joy, one that she wanted to experience more of. It was such a strange sensation, but one she liked nonetheless.
As the two walked, she found herself performing a bold move, and slowly slipping her hand into Korekiyo’s. While there was no verbal response, she did feel a faint hint of tension, before the anthropologist relaxed, fingers closing around her own. The two walked in silence, having drained all of the conversation out on their date. There was nothing more to say; with a simple gesture, both had exchanged all of the words they needed.
After a few minutes of walking, the two arrived at Kirumi’s home - a large, expensive-looking mansion in the middle of town, surrounded by a black gate with various plants lining the outside. Kirumi simply smiled, bowing and doing a little curtsy. “Once again, thank you for our date, Korekiyo. I enjoyed myself very much.” Hmmm... I wonder...? She subtly tapped her cheek with one finger, seeing if Korekiyo would get the hint.
It seemed that wasn’t the case. Korekiyo nodded politely. “If you wish, you may ask me out again sometime. Is there anything else you wanted to exchange before we part ways at last?”
... I suppose I will have to take things into my own hands. Despite Kirumi’s initial hesitation, she felt strangely calm about the idea dancing in her mind. There was almost no question about whether to do it or not; it simply felt... right. “One more thing.”
She stood up on her tiptoes, planting a small kiss on Korekiyo’s cheek. As she stood up straight again, she took a moment to savor the slight widening of his eyes, and him touching the spot where her lips had touched. “That is all. Thank you for the date, Korekiyo.” She performed another bow, once again feeling that strange joy inside her, only in a larger burst.
With that, she opened up the gates of her mansion, and strode inside calmly, as if it was just another day.

NDRV3 Girls - Kissing Headcanons/Scenarios
Kaede Akamatsu:
Kisses with her can be due to multiple reasons.
She thinks your giggle is cute and wants to hear it again? Kiss.
She’s really stressed? Kiss.
She’s feeling a bit jealous? Kiss.
You’re there? Kiss.
Just saying Kaede chill
Normally they’re just cheek kisses, but when you two are alone, she’s a lot more playful with her kisses and more often than not you would have to chase her before catching her.
She’s laughing and you’re playfully sighing and before you know it your lips are pressed together.
Miu Iruma:
This girl cannot keep her hands off of you.
Literally. Her hands or her robot hands.
You’ve kissed her so many times that you can literally tell what flavor she’s wearing just by one small little peck.
At first you were a little shy for PDA, but after a quick few days people already knew to book it out of the room if they saw you two alone together.
Her kisses are always intense, especially if you’re about to leave the room.
“Miu plea se I’m just going to the toilet.”
Lets not even mention when you’re both in the mood.
If she sees that you’re feeling down about something though, she’s quick to drag you to a quiet place and hug you, lips placing soft kisses to your forehead.
Tsumugi Shirogane:
The first time you kissed her, you were so amazed at how soft her lips were.
They were like strawberry flavored clouds, small and pink, almost matching the colour of her cheeks the first (and every time) you kissed her.
Just the feel of them against your own make you feel calm again you tell her, and oops the red cheeks are back
Cheek kisses are a very common thing between the two of you, though.
Small, simple pecks as a greeting, a thank you or anything in between.
The first time you follow her to a cosplaying event, however, you’re surrounded by fans who she hugs and take photos with.
And for the first time, you can’t help but feel self-conscious as you look at them, all of them gorgeous alongside your goddess-like girlfriend.
It doesn’t take her long at all to realize.
When she steps away from her fans and gives you a long, reassuring kiss, and now it’s your turn for your cheeks to be red.
Tenko Chabashira:
Tenko is just a little ball of energy.
The most common PDA act you both will do is hand holding, which isn’t that surprising seeing as nearly every time you don’t hold her hand, you inevitable lose her due to her running off.
No one had ever seen the both of you kiss in public, and there were some people who doubted your relationship as well as some people who gave you ‘tips’ on how you two should kiss.
Your friends would have expected you to be upset over those people, but in all honesty?
You weren’t.
After all, how could they know the way she kissed your jaw when you two were alone, cuddling near a fireplace as she finally tires out from her days activities,
Or the way you kiss her forehead as it scrunches up while she excitedly tells you about her plans,
Or how safe her mouth feels, planted against yours with a gentle feel, laughs interrupting before continuing.
No, you’d much rather keep all those to yourselves.
Kirumi Tojo:
Kirumi is a very formal girl, so it would make sense that she wasn’t such a big fan of PDA.
Except to your surprise, she was.
Every time you sat next to her, her hand would instantly pull your face close to give you a small peck as a greeting.
Her lips would be a little chapped, due to her sometimes forgetting to drink a lot of water, but you’ve started carrying around lip balm just for her.
She was so used to your pecks that she never realised the both of you had never had a proper, deep kiss.
But you did.
And one evening, as she came to give you a kiss good night, you wrapped your arms around her neck and you lost count about how long you kissed her for.
It was the first time you saw her so flustered and speechless.
Maki Harukawa:
People weren’t that surprised to learn that you two had become a couple.
Maybe the fact that she always blushed a deep red when you smiled at her gave it away.
Maybe.
She isn’t really used to this much affection towards her, so when she asks for the both of you to take things slow, you agree.
It starts small; a quick squeeze of your hand before she drops it, giving you a one armed hug in public, things like that.
After two months of dating, she steadily got used to you and your affection, to the point where she was willing to accept hugs from you in public.
You two still have’t kissed and, although you would pay any amount of money in the world to just give her even a small peck, you wait, because your main priority is her comfort.
One day, you’re both hanging out alone, her hand resting on your leg as you both talk,
And you can’t seem but notice that she’s quieter than usual, and you ask her whats wrong.
It takes a while, but then she finally asks.
“Can I kiss you?”
And she’s blushing a bit and the sunlight is pouring through the window, covering the both of you and the only sound you can hear is the sound of your own heartbeat.
And god you’re smiling so hard it hurts.
You let her take her time, as she slowly moves towards you, nervous but loving,
And the feeling of her lips on yours is everything you’ve ever wanted and more.
Himiko Yumeno:
Your kisses with her are extremely casual.
The neither of you made it a big deal when you kissed for the first time, because it just felt so normal.
She’s also a playful kisser, and when you’re upset, she kisses everywhere she can just to make you laugh.
Only because you’re extremely ticklish and she knows this gdi Himiko.
She loves kissing the spot behind your ear the most, however,
Because when she does, your mouth subconsciously forms a small smile, and her heart bursts every time she sees that.
She also loves it when you kiss the spot beneath her eyes and does all she can to make you do it again.
Sometimes, when she’s beating you in a game, you kiss her, just to distract her so you could win, although in the end it always ends with the two of you forgetting about the game.
What you don’t know, however, is that she purposely plays the game a lot so she can beat you and wait for you to kiss her to ‘distract’ her.
This little nerd.
Angie Yonaga:
You can’t count the number of times you’ve heard her thank God for allowing you to be in her life.
When she’s thinking about art ideas, sometimes she mindlessly takes your hand and kisses it, distracted and lost in her thoughts.
Doesn’t mean you don’t blush about it though.
She recently started to wear a faint coat of lip gloss or lipstick nowadays, because she loves the way her lips stay imprinted on your cheek, as if she’s a small piece on the amazing masterpiece you are.
One time, she ran out of lip gloss and used paint, and you both spent an hour trying to wash it out fully.
She loves the way your lips feel on her jaw as she sculpts, or the way your kisses somehow seem to overpower her thoughts, leaving her completely ruled by your love.
While she loves sculpting, she refuses to sculpt you because it doesn’t feel nearly as amazing as having you around.
