First of all im so sorry for the long askbut!! New parent idea 💥💥 i present to you: King
Now hear me out, you might be thinking ‘really??? King from wano the bird guy?? Why tf’ but my good sir there are multiple reasons
1. Fire! King is from a race called lurarians (he’s infact the last of his people because theyre world wide known as beautiful because of their white hair, dark skin and beautiful black wings) lurarians are also known to be able to set themselves on fire! So that fits prettyyy well with sanji
So if we take pt 1 with us and expand it...
2. Test subject ✨ we all know Sanji is judge 3rd expiriment and also that vegapunk has made the seraphims of the warlords combined with kings lurarian DNA to make very strong clones. Judge and vegapunk were also in a science group together so they might have some shared notes and materials...
So that brings me to the parent King au...
What if vegapunk and judge kept in touch and decided to keep King in germas dungeon for the foreseeable future because its very well guarded etc etc so he is essentially both vegapunk and judges labrat
And when judge is busy with Sora and Reiju he notices that while reiju hasnt failed his expectations for power, he can always do better so with the quadruplets he also decides to mix kings lurarian DNA in for even stronger child soldiers (so 1234ji have 3 bio parents lmao)
Maybe this alters their appearance also a bit? (Mini baby wings 🥺 that they hide becausd its a weakness maybe 124ji got them amputated later in life while sanji ofcourse kept his hidden)
But anyway canon continues and sanji gets thrown into the dungeon with his mask... Here he meets a huge winged man. First days maybe weeks they dont really talk but sanji is a child and starts talking to king because he's lonely
They startbonding and in the next almost year that sanji is stuck there they really learn to love each other and sanji shows king his baby wings and king just decides 'yup thats my kid' teaches him to groom and how to fold/hide them without being in to much pain
But then vegapunk and judge fight and split up, king was originally vegapunks labrat so he is also taken from sanji.
Canon continues with them both respectively escaping, king tried to find sanji but couldnt bc germa is very stealthy and nobody knows where they are so he joins kaido etc etc
And then they meet again in wano.
Thoughts :0?
I had to double check King's age to make sure this is plausible and yeah, he's 47. He can fully adopt Sanji. I support this fully, fire boys unite! Also imagine Heterochromia!Sanji, one blue eye and one red.
King who is Vegapunks labrat being experimented on for a good while before Reiju and the quads come along, hell, even before Sora coming along. Captured as a teenager and being held captive and tortured for years. Eventually he's locked in the dungeon and left there to rot even after Vegapunk leaves to focus on other things but leaves him in Germa. No one really interacts with the Lunarian except to bring him food and water to keep him alive in case they do decide they want to do something with him again. What it could be he doesn't know what more they could do.
Judge however has gotten married and had a daughter already but notices her flaws and while she's not a full failure, he could do better. So he infuses the Lunarians DNA with those of his coming sons, despite his wife taking that poison she won't be able to do much to get rid of that at least. He can deal with the other failures she causes later but right now he's unworried. Even when the children come, the third one is wrong, he's blond instead of darkhaired, he's easily bruised. Unfortunate really. He had high hopes for that one particularly, for the stealth instead of brute force the others were for.
He sees the wings and knows he still at least has the Lunarian DNA, he might still have some use. Maybe.
He's not and it's clear by the time Sanji is six. Weak and crying and frail compared to his siblings. He has a full range of emotions which even Reiju doesn't have. Disgusted Judge throws him in the dungeon, a metal cover his head and unconcerned if he dies down there, Sanji screaming and crying for him to come back. Apologizing to his father over and over again as if it will change anything. It doesn't. He's trapped alone in the cell but there's someone down here with him. There's a man, tall with white hair and black wings like he has, only a few years older than his mother. He's telling Sanji to quiet down, no one will come get him. Sanji can't stop crying so he apologizes and sits in the back of his cell. King gives his real name to the kid, introduces himself as Alber to the boy, he is a boy after all, small and frail and so utterly broken and too young to be there. He knows what it's like to be a failure after all. It takes all of a day for King to see the small black wings the kid has. His wings are in awful condition: Bald spots, cuts, bruises, broken feathers. King remembers what that was like, the uncomfortable feeling and itching, those wings are from Lunarians though, so this kid has his DNA or there's another Lunarian here possibly. Both are bad options, no one should be forced to live as he has. No one.
They're together for a year and some change and in that time 124ji find out about Sanji and King almost burns the little princes for what they're doing. They have wings as well, atrophied and unworked like his are. He can only stretch his so far in this cramped cell. He hears the crunch of bones in the younger's cell. He throws fire at them once and is doused in water unforgivingly. They're incredibly close, King hasn't told the boy this where his wings come from and Sanji asks if he's where his red eye comes from and King says probably, albeit he's confused about that, he's only seen the blue one.
He teaches Sanji how to preen and hide his wings more comfortably and for protection. King tells him they will be his pride and joy and he will be able to fly with them. Sanji says he hopes so. They've been together for a year and some change when they take King away from Sanji. They tranquilize him and the last thing King hears is Sanji screaming and begging for them not to take him. He wakes up to Vegapunk telling him it's time to continue their work. King stays for a year, working on getting his wings back to functioning, preening and carrying for them. Then he escapes. It's a mess getting out but he needs to get out. Needs to find Sanji, his son. He will find his son.
So he breaks out and goes hunting for Germa but hears the kids saying Sanji better be dead since he's out of the dungeon, which means he escaped. As relieved as that makes him it means he has more searching to do. He looks and looks for years and years. He doesn't find him though and ends up in Wano under Kaido, working his way up to becoming an All Star. He hides who he is and decides he'll wait, maybe Sanji will pass by.
Sanji on the other hand is going through canon mostly normally, I think having King there would partially impact how he views woman but also for as much flirting as he does he doesn't actually sleep with anyone. Zeff found out he has wings while on the rock because he's crying about how fucked they are. Zeff is staring at the black wings attached to this kid and helps him hide them when they're saved, threatens the doctor to keep quiet.
Zeff helps Sanji rehab them before Baratie opens and after it does he lets the boy fly to his heart's content. Patty and Carne will save him if he falls in the water, he can still swim but his wings are not made for water. Is he still amazing at it? 100% but like, he's not a duck or a penguin. He's part Lunarian. He wears coats like the vice admirals and admirals do. Off his shoulders to hide his wings, to keep them safe as he goes about his day. He doesn't really over heat thanks to his Lunarian traits but when he gets cold, it's so fucking cold to him.
When he joins the crew everyone thinks he's kind of prissy with the full suit+extra jacket thing he has but...he's illegal. He's an illegal race and if he gets found out he's fucked. Drum island is when Luffy and Nami find out. Sanji is begging for Kureha and Chopper to not tell anyone which they assure they won't. Kureha does tell him he's lucky he only broke his back and not his wings. Chopper says they're in desperate need of preening and Sanji admits he hasn't done it since he left the Baratie because he didn't want to get caught. He mumbles it all of course but Nami and Luffy are looking at the black monstrous wings as they unfurl and Chopper is amazed at them. They're huge. He has to have a ten/fifteen foot wingspan(if not more but anime logic) and Luffy asks how you preen wings and Chopper shows him despite Sanji insisting he can do it himself. It's too late and Chopper and Luffy are preening a wing and it feels good. Zeff didn't even preen him, not unless Sanji asked and Sanji was too proud to ask normally. Even Nami touches them and is surprised how soft they are.
They leave with Chopper and make it off Drum island and to Alabasta and meet Ace. Sanji is fine in the heat, he's in so many layers though it concerns everyone but he waves them off. He's sworn Nami and Chopper to secrecy but not Luffy because he bought his silence with meat. Sanji is so lucky he didn't inherit more traits from Alber because that cigar marine is tailing them and here and if it wasn't for these covers over his wings h would put to death immediately. Even as they take Alabasta back he doesn't uncover his wings. Not until they leave again and Nami is getting upset with him saying they need preened and that she'll do it while he's on watch. Nico Robin has joined the crew and he doesn't trust her that much and he'd rather not trouble Nami at all but she basically throws him to his knees and starts preening. If Sanji moves to help she threatens to raise his debt which he doesn't understand.
Robin probably knows but no one has else finds out until post TS. He can sill sky walk, he still learned it and to keep his secret. But no one else knows, not until WCI/Wano. Sanji notices his brothers wings are gone and Sanji is the only one left with them. The black wings he cannot cover with his red cape so at least one is always showing as well as his red eye. It has wigged some of his crew out until he showed both eyes at the same time and Robin called him interesting in the way she does some poneglyphs or rituals she reads about.
It made his stomach turn. Just as it is now as he's being called interesting again and Pudding is saying their kids have wings like he does. Big Mom says she thought Lunarians are extinct and Judge says they are. The quadruplets are only infused with the DNA, not actually Lunarian. Sanji wants to vomit.
He'd claim to be an illegal race than to be a Vinsmoke. So during the escape he claims it. He flies and it's awkward so it's a combination of sky walking and flying. Carrying Luffy and Nami to safety. His bounty skyrockets as they head to Wano. It's higher than Zoro's as Nami preens his wings and Luffy coming to help after he's had a nap and some food that Sanji made. He's wanted dead or alive with Vinsmoke as his last name unfortunately and being Lunarian added to his list of crimes.
Everyone seeing his wings in Wano is new and he asks everyone not to touch them. Zoro is confused because the fuck cook? I'm your rival? And Sanji shrugs because he doesn't know what else to do. Then fights keep happening. He uses the raid suit a couple of times, the second time is the worst. He's fighting Alber, he's sure of it. He's so fucking sure but he's drilled through buildings and he's certain Alber is going to kill him for this.
Maybe after the raid Sanji finds a moment alone before Zoro and Luffy wake up. Maybe King the Wild Fire finds him and they talk and catch up. Maybe King preens his son's wings like he always wanted to. Maybe King joins the crew.
Maybe King went to the East Blue, found the Baratie, met Zeff. They would bond over the Eggplant. Sanji's second place in the bounties. When he gets to Egghead he has no sympathy for Vegapunk, he does for Kuma and Bonney but for what he's done to his family? Never. He will never forgive him.

Ive just had an insane au idea: so you know how fontaine has alot of human trafficking for some damm reason? Well what if it got so bad and the fontaine goverment is doing nothing to stop it or even supporting it (this part would require either furina and nuevillette bashing or for them to not have as much control over fontaine as they seem to) that mondstat and venti catch wind (heh) of it and basically invade to take control of the situation (assume varka pops back up due to hearing about this aswell) possibly even working with the house of hearth who havve trying to deal with the problem.
interesting idea but this would indeed necessitate shafting furna or neuvillette's control over fontaine. furina i can see but neuvillette? might be easier to just make part of the reason why shits fucked is bc something happened to both of them and the phantoms and maison gestion are trying their best to manage the city on their own without a leader
this would ALSO necessitate either a) varka turning out to be an actually competent man and good leader (which with jean's situation it'll have to have some sort of explanation to be believable) and that all the men he took with him being actually also competent and good at their jobs or b) that you magically make the knights of favonius actually good at their job. like they couldn't get rid of a handful of fatui, i can't imagine the amount of concessions and au exceptions that'd need to happen for them to succesfully tackle a disaster of the magnitudes you're proposing. so like- unless you want to make a 'the knights are actually competent' au, you'd have to bring varka along and you'd have to necessarily make him and his men hypercompetent.
this would also somehow need to factor in fontaine even wanting to collaborate with mondstadt in specific about this. like i know the proposal of mondstadt being the ones is bc of freedom and whatnot, but like
realistically, mondstadt would be the last nation fontaine turns to. do they even share borders? plus sumeru's corps of thirty and eremites and the canonically-superior-combat-force millelith are literally right there on their doorstep. mondstadt would be like. not their first option AT ALL hahah
and the venti argument of him spearheading the operation in the name of freedom doesn't even work because chances are venti is gonna sleep through all that. again, you'd have to somehow justify venti being awake for this whole mess, either bc something happened in mondstadt (in which case why'd they go deal with fontaine's stuff if they themselves have problems? it'd have to be like- ok we got our shit sorted out, lets send our already tired men away on another mission and unman our possibly fresh-off-conflict ie vulnerable nation), or because... he just decided to wake up? i'm p sure he doesn't get to choose that, else any respect i have for him would just vanish. when he does wake up i think it's implied it's bc shit is happening in mondstadt? so why'd he wake up for fontaine??
anyway- interesting idea, but you'd have to do some real legwork to make the au believable. in the end, though, an au is an au and what do i know about believable aus. cyanide narwhal is literally right there LMAO

Ok, hear me out (angst, bc of course)
I've been having these thoughts bounce around my head for about a week and I finally decided to post them. I don't know who's going to see this, but whoever sees it needed to. I guess this is for an AU rather than a headcanon, but whatever, just hear me out. I was inspired by The Owl House, specifically Hunter, so maybe that will spark some interest. This is about to be a rant, so I'll go ahead and add the read more thing
Okay, now that I have your attention, time for angst.
SO, in The Owl House, we learn in season 2 that (SPOILER ALERT) Hunter is a grimwalker (a clone of someone who died for those of you who don't know), and that before him, there were TONS of other grimwalkers that Belos murdered for "choosing to betray him" AKA realizing that Belos was an evil psychotic bitch. Also, that Hunter looked the most like Caleb (the dead guy he was cloned of) out of all the other grimwalkers, but he didn't KNOW that he was a grimwalker until a very angsty reveal by his abuser (Belos) who then immediately tried to murder his ass.
ANYWAYS, obviously, as the angst-lover I am, I think about this literally all the time. Then. I started thinking. I absolutely love Alastor, he's such a blorbo. And what do I do to my blorbos? I give them immeasurable amounts of trauma, c'mon, keep up.
What do we know about Alastor? Well, someone owns his soul. He disappeared for unknown reasons for seven years. He is INCREDIBLY anxious about whoever owns his soul - or at least the deal itself (as evidenced by his musical breakdown where he literally TEARS HIS OWN HAIR OUT FROM THE STRESS), and that he's probably going to use the deal with Charlie either for nefarious purposes, or to escape his deal.
Which brings us to the point of this post in the first place (kind of???? I might have just been mindlessly rambling there), and the start of my AU. I'm not going to pretend I know who owns Alastor's soul, but I really vibe with the idea of it being either Lilith or Roo, so that's who I'll be thinking of for the majority of this post. What if the person who owns his soul made a deal with him when he first got to hell (or it could be one of those versions where someone sold his soul before he was even born [a sort of "I want your first-born kinda deal] and they let him know when he got to hell which is how he got all his power so quickly), but he managed to either tick them off or get really close to escaping the deal, which lead to them killing Alastor.
Then, the contract-owner realizes, "Oh shit, I kind of need him," and finds out how to make whatever the hell equivalent of a grimwalker is. Thus, Alastor 2.0 is born. However, they can't have him knowing he's a clone - he might find a loophole in the deal that way. So they find a way to control which memories he has. They replace all of the memories the OG Alastor had up until whatever it was he did to get killed in the first place - don't want him getting any ideas after all.
This works fine for the contract-holder for a while, but then Alastor is back on the same shit - trying to find loopholes, backdoors, ticking them off, whatever, and oops, there goes another one. Well shit. Guess it's time to make another clone. So, the process is repeated, and the song and dance continues. However, it always concludes the same way - with Alastor's inevitable "betrayal". Also, none of the clones ever seem to look quite right - sometimes the eye color is wrong, or the height, the cheekbones, or the nose shape - whatever it is, something is always off
So, after many failed attempts, they decide to take a different approach. When they make the new clone, they give them the same memories, everything is the same as the previous attempts, except they don't turn him loose right away. Instead, they keep him under their thumb for seven years - really just until there was something they needed him for. Those seven years were spent conditioning him. They were determined to make him perfect. After all, this clone was the one that looked the most like the original Alastor, there was no way they would let him go like the others.
In his time at their side, Alastor endured unspeakable cruelties - beatings, torture, extreme sensory deprivation, emotional manipulation, sleep deprivation, total isolation - you name it, it was almost certainly done during that time. This is also when his smile was sewn on because the contract holder wanted him to smile more, and used his defense mechanism to torture him (smiled to hide weakness, forced to smile against his will, making the smile itself a constant reminder of how powerless he really is). There was rarely an action Alastor did that provoked his contract holder, but that didn't matter. They convinced him that each "punishment" was earned, that they were simply trying to help him see his own shortcomings and failures, and to make him better. Obviously, this is complete bullshit. However, when you live like that long enough, with no other influences, you become conditioned to believe it.
Eventually, for whatever reason, the contract holder released Alastor on strict orders to go to Charlie's hotel, and Alastor is doing exactly what they told him because he's terrified of the idea of being summoned back to their side. He hates his contract holder, but at the same time craves their approval, because if they're happy with him, then he won't be in pain. However, Alastor has to Alastor, and once he's on his own, he starts looking for ways to escape his deal - but he's sneaky about it. Years of constant conditioning made him cautious. He has no memory of ever searching for loopholes before - a least not successfully (bc the contract holder doesn't let the clones remember those things), so he does the best thing he can think of: he makes a deal with the Princess of Hell herself.
I'm definitely going to make another post about this, probably detailing the reveal. Not right now though because I have homework to do, and this is getting to ungodly lengths
(if you want to see the next part when I post it, keep an eye on the '#grimwalker alastor au' tag. I might just make this a whole thing if anyone is interested. I'll make it a whole thing anyways because I feel like it and deep down I post for myself, but if you're interested, I highly encourage you to ask about it [I don't bite!!])

"So he pasted on a stoic expression and gave a simple "No.""
Here's where we differentiated because I shifted to Damian's POV and kinda forced the matter. So we could Get Damian's perspective on Danny's cover." After that was the stuff I couldn't figure out because of this spot right here! Danny's answer had to be "no" the misunderstanding doesn't sink as well if it doesn't.
The memory of tests, the pre-established no-codewords *chef's kiss* because it is always going to be safer for Danny to make contact in some other way. With invisibility and intangiblity even more so.
Closing the box cutter like that, perfect. Danny knows better than to attempt to rival Damian, especially when he's under the assumption that Damian is still acting heir. Oof I can't think of any reason getting called back wouldn't spell trouble.
I love the slight implication with the evil billionaires list and tuckers unspoken question, to me it reads like Lex has also tried to clone Phantom. Which I don't think was intended but, it tracks! He totally would!
Tim's questions, Danny looking to Damian for orders. Yes. Just yes, perfection, right there in front of my face but the question didn't even occur to me. Wonderful.
Everything that follows, YOUR TAGS they look like my notes we were on the same wavelength I swear!
Do you have plans to keep going with this? Can we collab if you do?
See I couldn't bring myself to use the Damian POV because in my mind his internal dialogue would just be. Static.
Like, yes, he's a highly trained assassin. And idk too much about batman timeline but I've seen stuff about how he's had character growth and gotten better about things over time. If he came to them at 10 and he's 16 now, that's 6 years for his personal growth. Learning to care about people again.
But outside of missions the batfam are all hot garbage and personal interaction, and I imagine Damian's had enough growth by this point to get to the "people matter to me as more than murder tools/mission tolls" idea, but without any of the understanding of how to deal without a given context.
And with Danny, the context has always been "avoid/ignore."
Danny isn't a classmate. He isn't one of his adopted brothers that he has learned how to squabble/get along with over time. And, most of all, whatever Danny might believe, he is not a League member. Which leaves Damian with no framework for how to deal with him.
Damian had/has a hard enough time getting over his League training, how does he help Danny get over his? Especially when 10 years of it would have been training he did to himself.
How does he interact with someone he was raised to hold at arms-length^2?
So I figured doing his POV would be too difficult because I couldn't think of much beyond static, panicked rambling, and several mock-conversations on how to break it to Danny that the League is gone without him going off on a suicide mission against the coup-people.
Which is kind of a shame, because you could fit a lot of angst in ala grief for Danny's seemingly emotionless state and guilt for forgetting him (which, not Damian's fault the League just sucks, but people don't stop blaming themselves for things just because they know they don't need to. Emotions be cray).
"Oof I can't think of any reason getting called back wouldn't spell trouble"
idk why but this made me think of an AU version where Damian intercepted the letter but the League actually was calling Danny back at the time (no coup), so they try to find him in Nanda Parbat only to find the (fake) dead body to the resulting tune of: Batfam Grief Rampage Time (TM). Except the League called him back because they found out what he was leaving out of his reports (about the portal & tech, not about him being a halfa) so when the batfam go to Amity to talk to the Fenton's about their "dead" son Amity is walled off w/an anti-liminal shield & armed to the teeth waiting for assassins (bc u know the whole town is in danger of being conscripted after bathing in portal radiation for so long. Call that "League of Assassins Park" at that point - sans the whole cult aspect. Unless u count the Phantom Phans).
"I love the slight implication with the evil billionaires list and tuckers unspoken question, to me it reads like Lex has also tried to clone Phantom. Which I don't think was intended but, it tracks! He totally would!"
You know that really wasn't the implication I was going for, but I could totally see Lex trying to clone Phantom. Maybe he heard about the whole overshadowing thing and was like "yo loyal clone to control the actual superman is way better than a second superman that could (did) go rogue! And this one can even be a (former) human!!!"
"Tim's questions, Danny looking to Damian for orders. Yes. Just yes, perfection, right there in front of my face but the question didn't even occur to me. Wonderful."
Am basking in the positive feedback like a lizard in the sun thanks ☀️🦎🥰
"Do you have plans to keep going with this? Can we collab if you do?"
I thought about making a follow-up, but the stuff others tagged on kinda satisfied the brain itch for me.
But! I could totally see this turning into a fully fleshed-out fic, and I think I'd enjoy writing for it, so if you want to make it happen I'd be happy to collab :)

mha au where aizawa gets permanently turned into a cat bc quirk shenanigans and everyone at ua is like "we gotta get him back he's like the only competant teacher amongst us". but they can't find him bc now aizawa is living the dream. he's a cat, his job includes finding warm patches of sunlight and napping with the occasional pets. no more irritating students to deal w or papers to grade.
except he gets rescued from the street and taken in by a well meaning all might. which is just frustrating enough that aizawa wants to go back to his life as a teacher, but all might is a v firm believer in not letting cats wander outside unaccompanied and he's crazy good at not letting aizawa escape.
thus, he starts trying to communicate "hey idiot i'm not a regular cat" but all might is Oblivious and he has little to no hope. all might is attached to catzawa though no matter how mean he is. damn the man. his one saving grace is when izuku comes round to all might's place for some reason during training and he's v obviously a fanboy.
eraserhead takes his chances, and toilet papers his neck imitating his capture scarf and the second that izuku sees that he's like "omg all might your cat looks exactly like a cat version of eraserhead that's so cool" and he gushes. all might ends up taking a photo bc heh eraserhead should be his collegue soon. so he makes a note to show the hero when he sees him at ua.
but then eraserhead isn't at ua, he asks and the teachers are like "yeah he went into hiding we're looking for him tho :/" and all might's like "hey look at my cat cosplaying him i was gonna make fun of him bc this cat looks so grumpy-- mic why did you take my phone? uh yes i can-- take you to my place?"
so now aizawa is back at ua. nedzu, the evil rat bastard tells aizawa that his situation does not mean that he's excluded from being a teacher. and bc of some animal communication thing, nedzu can almost always know what aizawa is saying. so he acts as aizawa's translator with glee, bc aizawa just wants to be a cat damn it.
anyways. canon w aizawa just being a cat and having to deal w his class who won't hesitate to hold him up and mess with him. they frequently tease him, but when he gets pissed he hisses and uses his quirk on them w the occasional swipe.
i just think that aizawa would fully revel in being a cat.

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...
well THANK YOU for asking, you are the first to!
tbh ive been meaning to do this on my main blog bc I take these wayyy too seriously lol but ANYWAY heres my top 10 faves (in no particular order) that I can think of (tbh theres prob more i forgot about, or i wanted to keep only 1 per fandom... except tgcf)
Huge Spoiler Warning: for ALL of tgcf, 2ha, aot, AND JJK MANGA!!!
1. Feng Xin (tgcf)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
do i even need to explain this one? loyal to a fault, just a cute lil puppy, one hell of a sculpted archers back, and he's head over heels in love with Xie Lian (but tbh same) i have a lot of thoughts about him on a daily basis on this blog (and also theres the #fx backstory au tag)
2. Noé Archiviste (the Case Study of Vanitas)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MY BABY
the absolute bestest boy of EVER... with a LOAD of unprocessed trauma (yknow the typical stuff like seeing your childhood bff get decapitated in front of you) and a lot more to come once we find out how he kills his boyfriend best friend, Vanitas...
i ALSO think about him a lot but over on @noes-pillow
3. Sejanus Plinth (The Hunger Games: tbosas)
Tumblr media
hated reading as a child... HATED it... picked up the og trilogy when i was 12 and i was a goner. The funny thing is i still hated reading for YEARS up until i picked up the prequel novel then in 2020, and now ive read all of tgcf, 2ha, and more fanfic than i could ever imagine... all because this stupid boy (i love him) chose to trust the WORST person as his friend, rip sejanus my baby
the movie is v good btw, if you havent seen it you should
4. Xie Lian (tgcf)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Taizi Dianxia Fang Xin Guoshi General Hua Xie Lian*
how this man survived 800 years of being physically unable to die and never went insane is a mystery i will never be able to fully comprehend (aaand im in love with him... hmm i wonder why...)
5. Mihael "Mello" Keehl (Death Note)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the chocolate-addicted blonde boi that was my first anime crush... by proxy I must also add Mail "Matt" Jeevas because they are a package deal
these two are also the reason i started writing fanfic so they will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart
6. Xue Meng - (2ha)
Tumblr media
*sigh* he's just everyone's fav peacock (yes technically the image is XM 0.5 but he had a cool ass bird so im using this photo bc its COOL anyway...) mengmeng is another one of my trauma bois who has lost next to everything and yet is STILL kicking ass and taking names #thatsmyfuckingsectleader so proud of you my son
also this might get me into hot water here but imma go ahead and say it...
this is what i wanted Jiang Cheng to be... (i LOVE my angy grape but...) through thick and thin, despite EVERYTHING, and even mo ran fucking abandoning him he will still call mo ran his "ge"...
fgjhdfhfdg THEYRE BROTHERS, OKAY???
7. Howl Pendragon (Howl's Moving Castle)
Tumblr media
ok this one i just simply do not need to explain... if you think i do, go watch this whole movie and then there ya go thats your answer...
GENDER
8. River Song (Doctor Who)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aside from being the character that unlocked my unhealthy obsession with :) Main Character Death :) at the ripe ol' age of 8 YEARS (although Will Turner from POTC also helped on that front... Orlando Bloom my beloved) River's story was a stroke of absolute GENIUS from start to finish and i simply love how Alex Kingston played her...
"You don't expect a sunset to admire you back."
I just love the doomed ones, okay...
9. Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
look... theres *gojo girlies* uwu and then theres GOJO GIRLIES... i couldn't give 2 shits about how he's fan-serviced (tho im not complaining) but have you SEEN the amount of grief pumped into that man? he could explode in a fit of fucking insanity at literally any moment and take the whole goddamn world down with him bc what happened with suguru WASNT FAIR to him and satoru has more than enough power to go apeshit... but he DOESN'T... even after losing so many of his co-sorcerers... he still puts on a brave face to the end in order to protect the childhood of his students even tho his own youth was stolen from him during hidden inventory...
SEE? The DOOMED ones!
10. Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i read the manga during my last year of uni and when i tell you i SOBBED at the end... yes ofc for obvious reasons, but mostly bc my little Levi loses EVERYTHING. He is the SOLE survivor of the veteran scouts. He's missing multiple fingers, an eye, and the ability to walk. He was the strongest (yowaimo) but wasn't even granted the mercy to die at the end of his narrative! Broke my fucking heart.
BONUS: Morph (Treasure Planet)
Tumblr media
he's a morph!!! nuff said <3

So. A combination of reading final girl, this one TikTok comic, my love for marichat, and my apparent insomnia has lead to this:
Guardian au where that first day, Fu seeks a holder for the Black Cat Miraculous and, instead of a new holder for the Ladybug, a new guardian to train.
Chat Noir is the sole ‘savior of Paris’
He can’t purify akumas but instead absorbs them, which, according to Fu, will destroy the akuma’s corruption. No “bye bye little butterfly” more like “Die die bitchy moth”(the corruption isn’t fully distorted and has its effects bc the universe hates Adrien agreste)
Fu is strictly against awakening the Ladybug because he doesn’t want to risk loosing it bc he has trauma over loosing the butterfly and peacock already and he absolutely cannot loose Creation.
He’s fine with using the Black Cat because while the miraculous might be a tiny bit *cough cough* unstable, Creation can fix any of the damage done by Destruction and the two miraculous are a pair so if he looses the Cat, the Ladybug will lead him to it or something idk I haven’t thought that one through.
So anyways, after stoneheart and the akuma multiplying is over, Paris is in ruins. Not like big big ruins but like, casualty rates are really high, some people are still statues, and there’s a shit ton of property damage. It’s been days and the popo are still dragging bodies out of the rubble. Ppl are angry at chat noir bc of all the damage left behind and all that yada yada.
Adrien himself is all like oh shot naur I do not wanna do this anymore, oh and he’s like bruised all over from the many, many times he’s been slammed into hard things and fallen from his baton. He’s feeling guilty and in pain and is like, bro I only wanted to go do school not this shit.
He miles around and despairs for a while and after like a week of Paris dealing with the damage, Fu gains a brain cell and does some voodoo shit with the ladybug miraculous so that it doesn’t fully awaken, puts the earrings on and calls for the cure.
Everything goes back to normal; the dead are waking up in morgues, buildings are fixing themselves, injuries are going away, stone monsters are turning back into people, wveything is back to normal. Except, the cure, when it washes over Adrien does…nothing. It doesn’t heal him and cleanup his injuries, just makes him feel weird.
Adrien’s body is rejecting the Miraculous Cure, and that leads to issues but Adrien does not have his priorities straight so instead of going “oh no the magic bandaid isn’t helping me I’m going to get killed by one of these nasty bug thingies help guardian dude!” He’s just like “oh thank god Paris is a-okay I guess I don’t mind being a super hero if people stop dying” he has no self preservation because he’s a looser.
Anyways so that’s that. Chadrien absorbs akumas which makes him weird, fu presses the restart button on the Ladybug whenever Chadrien beats an akuma. Reset does not work for Adrien and leaves him in his bloody bruised state.
Adrien doesn’t really care that he’s not getting healed by the cure, he just patches himself up and for some reason people can’t really see the injuries even though he can feel them very very clearly so it doesn’t interfere with his modeling.
He doesn’t gaf until he starts like having emo symptoms from the corrupt butterflies that he’s eating (no I don’t know what the symltoms are yet probably like fucked up morality, violence, cat like tendencies, more carnivorous diet, sharp teeth… okay so I kind of know the symptoms) and plagg is like this shit is happening because the Ladybug isn’t awake and the two miraculous balance each other out and his magic is off kilter and he’s having side effects.
After a while of this and Adriens symptoms getting worse, and his body rejecting the cure even more, Adrien is fed up with Fu because “wdym you can’t wake up the Ladybug you’re literally using it every time to reset everything, the miraculous is already on the chess board, just use her!” And he’s pissed because Fu is chilling in some cozy apartment not lifting a finger or risking life and limb like he is to keep Paris safe and he gets to just woosh woosh make it all disappear from a safe distance when Adrien is in a state halfway to death since he got the his ring?
So he’s prissy about it and is always bugging Fu abt it but he’s an idiot as we’ve established and doesn’t mention the cure not working on him and instead of seeing it as a cry for help as in “oh no this is so much work I need a partner” and not what adorn actually means which is “oh for fucks sake I’m dying right now I need my partner” and Fu is like oh so you’re lonely right? (Which yes but that’s not the point???) and let’s him give out another miraculous so he has help fighting.
Adrien is so close to just cataclysming this old man it’s not even funny. He takes the miraculous and sure it helps and he’s not getting injured as much but he’s still eating akumas and that’s shitty especially when he’s puking black nasty shit now. Oh ya, as hawkmoth’s akumas get more dangerous, the akumas get more nasty and fuck with Adrien more than usual. And the more dangerous they are the more injured he gets.
One day after a particular rough akuma, Adrien is leaping through the city trying to get soemwhere quiet si he can maybe patch up the hole in his stomach(it’s not a big hole) and he’s excgahsred and he settles onto a particular balcony. He just lays there for a little, accidenoy knocks over a couple plants and just slouches against the wall and closes his eyes with a sigh and wishes he just stayed in that fucking house because he literally just wanted to go to school god damnit
Meanwhile… Marinette comes home from having this weird old guy fill her brain to the brim with new knowledge about magic jewels and powers and gods and guardians and the catman flying about and she wants nothing more than to climb into her bed and go to sleep. But then she hears somebody on her roof and is like wtf???
She grabs her weapon of choice (a paddle don’t ask) and climbs onto her balcony and then she sees the emo cat boy bleeding on her lawn chair.
She’s till tempted to whack him in the face but he’s bleeding and she’s training to be a Gaurdian apparently so it’s her job to like…patch him up right?
(Also the whole time she’s like, why is he still injured?? The cure should’ve healed him and is wondering if she should let Fu know abt this)
She gets him to stay and rushes back down to her room, grabs some fabric and like shoved onto his wound to stanch the bleeding all while muttering abt how expensive this fabric was dammit
And Adrien is just…starstruck… and confused. Like wtf is happening and how?? And as she’s like stopping the bleeding he’s just staring at her and like woah she’s really pretty(as she’s mourning her pretty fabric, scowls at him, and has his blood all over her hands and her shirt at this point) (Chadrien’s ring burns and his heart skips a beat but he’s a bit busy bleeding and ogling his classmate to notice)
At some point he’s like I have to…go? And she’s like bitch u have a whole in ur chest?? Where you gonna go with that?? And he’s like umm…magic?
She convinces him to stay for a sec, runs down, grabs pain killers, remembers that her parents keep a first aid kit down in the bakery, rushes down to grab the gauze, and by the time she makes it back up to the balcony she makes it back to the balcony her arms are filled with day old pastries, painkillers, a cat plushy and a pack of princess themed bandaids.
Chadrien refuses to question anything and takes all of it, says his good byes and thanks yous and leaps(limps) back home, barley managing to not fall on his face.
He feels light, lighter than he has since receiving his ring. He goes home and detransforms, plagg settles on his chest to work the corruption out of his wounds and Adrien contemplates the orange cat plushy on his pillow and thinks. He can’t help feeling like has changed, something big. He goes to sleep with smile tugging at his lips and sapphire eyes his mind.
Marinette stares after him long after he’s disappeared, deep in thought with a frown on her face. Eventually, she goes back down to her room and settles under the covers, a heavy feeling of foreboding twists itself into her chest.
The next morning, Master Fu is surprised to see her at his door before the rises, he wasn’t sure she’d ever comeback on her own accord. Nonetheless, he lets her in and makes them tea before answering all of her questions. If he notices that there are more inquiries than usual about the Miracle Cure, he does not show it.
So that’s that.

25th hour and city of thieves I never read the book so why did you compare them to jaime jon and ygritte
eeeeh it's been years since I dealt with either and god why do I even have to admit benioff can write when he wants to but anyway
25th hour has nothing to do with asoiaf it's just a really good script and it turned into a really good movie
the thing with city of thieves is... okay tldr the basic plot is two russian men (lev and kolya) are taken prisoner during the leningrad siege and are promised freedom if they manage to find eggs to bake a birthday cake for the daughter of the guy who arrested them (obv hard to find during a siege where everyone was dying of hunger), they go around trying to find the eggs, at some point they go out of town in this mansion where they supposedly had a bunch of chickens and it turns out that the mansion is full of girls who were kept there as nazi prisoners for you can imagine which reasons, they team up with the local partisans to save them, the partisans include a young girl named vika who is v good at warfare and eventually falls in love with lev, blah blah blah not spoiling things but at the end they have to separate then *she* finds him post-war bringing eggs, he tells her they can make an omelette and she replies she can't cook, that was your basic plot thing is, lev is a 17yo bucket of walking angst who has Issues because his father was arrested and deported by the government because he was too much of a free thinker for them and jewish, bad combination when it comes to stalin government (as far as I recall), doesn't really want to admit that he might be dead-dead at least in the beginning, doesn't talk too much and isn't too social, also being jewish he already felt singled out and like he had to mix/blend/be better than his father or smth like that kolya was taken prisoner for being a deserter, doesn't appreciate authority all that much, cracks bad jokes all the time and irritates lev bc he doesn't take shit seriously except when he gets serious when it comes to saving the girls used as unwilling prostitutes, if I don't recall wrong he was extremely attractive/charming vika basically was going guerrilla stuff, was a better shot than them, went at lev every other moment like I know way mroe than you about stuff (which she did btw), was the one pursuing him more actively and I don't remember if she was a redhead or not but like... the personality fit the bill now like idk if it was obvious from my bad summary and ofc there were differences (like for one kolya had a nice active sex life with a bunch of female friends instead of yknow toxic rship with his twin) but when it comes to character archetypes/personalities lev and jon were pretty much the same deal from the teenage angst to the daddy issues to needing to keep the family name honorable, jaime and kolya had a good 70% of basic traits in common and vika and ygritte were the exact same type including the romance where they make the first move and not being stereotypical feminine which is why idg why the fuck benioff managed to write a book with three main chars that are the exact same archetypes as jon jaime and ygritte with the obvious differences and then completely fucking up adapting jon/jaime in the series because if he could write city of thieves there is absolutely no way he actually misread the og characters nor didn't realize what they were there for so...................... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk and I guess I never will but if I wrote an asoiaf au of city of thieves with that recast no one would bat an eyelid, I compared them because they're the same tropes obv written different and in another context but it was so glaringly obvious I'm still asking myself wtf went wrong there almost ten years later
anyway as much as it pains me to say city of thieves was actually a pretty good book so like idk if anyone feels like obtaining it through whichever mean they find most ethical when it comes to maybe or not financing benioff it's not a waste of your time

HEHOO I HAVE SOME IDEAS LOL-
So new AU Thing ig... This is actually a expansion of my "Mother Phen" AU except uh.... scrapping some ideas...
What I mean is:
Canon Phen will now still exist, but as a sibling to Kasi!Phen (sorta like an older brother or smtn, idk. Don't worry the phenlings still exists.) Also yes, Both Kasi!Phen & Canon!Phen will be 2 separate individuals, primarily named as Kasinoshi (so that mean she won't be considered a au of Kasikah anymore) & Hakunata (which is more of a Nickname for Canon!Phen tbh.)
Doing another redesign of Kasi!Phen by making her a bit different from Canon... but still keeping some of her main elements (like the hair, weird antennas, extremely big tail, & weird fur clothing/body). & yes, this include updating my designs for Thumper/Locust & Follower/Ankle Biter (who is gonna be refered to as Alto now until I find a better name-)
Rei.... Well, Rei isn't Kasi!Phen duaghter anymore... She's Canon's kid now. (Although Rei is more of a goof character bcs idk if Room will even exist in this au expansion.... I MEAN NOT THAT ROOM DID EXIST IN ANY OF DOCTOR NOWHERE'S WORKS-) (Don't ask me what Rei's frikin deal is, idk either man, plus her ref isn't done yet-)
This weird expansion will have new characters & some weird ahh lore that idk ppl might get upset with me at. (Although lots of this will change if we do get idk... a 2nd installment of TBOP which is prob when Orion rlly wants to make a 2nd installment. Idk, I'm not him I'm jsu some stoopid kid who's like 2 yrs younger than him-) (Orion btw is uh... Dr. Nowhere if you couldn't tell)
Might uh... change Phen 228's (Haku/Canon!Phen) design since well... Kasinoshi has horns & a weird tail so why not him... THEY ARE LITERALLY GONNA BE SIBLINGS IN THIS EXSPANSION! SO WHY NOT EH?
Thats it... that all of me ideas I have for this dum thing I made up for no reason.
& the name of this new AU/expansion.... "Branches of a Paranormal Federation" no I'm serious that's the name. If yall have a better name than the one I have I love to hear it.
& While this will mainly focus on "The Boiled One Phenomenon" It will also have some focuses on "The Organate Enterprises"/T.O.E bcs idk I feel like those 2 are in the same universe but I'm tripping bro-
Imma stamp yapping now & just end this... HOPE YALL LIKE READING THE RAMBLINGS OF A RANDOM BLOB ON THE INTERNET!

9, 15 and 20 for the TARDIS ask bc it's genius
Thank you!! I'm so glad you like the game 😊
9. Which attack on/injury to the TARDIS was the most painful to watch for you?
The Flux, definitely. Just the duration of it, her hurting more and more and then the Doctor dismissing it for so long because she couldn't deal with it. And then in that first episode when they kept hitting her with the hammer on top of it 😢 leave her alone, she's already hurt!
I have to say while I loved eotd, I was kinda disappointed by how easily it all got resolved in the end. I suffered so much with her, I wanted it to have more of an impact.
15. Who among the companions/strays do you think the TARDIS disliked the most?
Hmm, I haven't watched any old who, so this is incomplete. I find this difficult.
I am tempted to say Clara because those two had the most tension in their relationship. Also because I am sure the TARDIS did not like the feeling of carrying someone around who had already died several times and could technically run into themselves if she wasn't careful where to land. But she also interacted with Clara way more than with most other companions which might be a sign she secretly respected her.
And then series 8 and 9 happened and in the end she made a memorial for Clara even though it would mean nothing to the Doctor anymore. So she definitely grew on her.
I want to give some (dis)honourable mentions to Dan, for saying he had a mate with a bigger ship, and Graham, for calling her a 'thing' (that happened right?) and getting crumbs all over her floors (def the member of the fam she liked the least as she adores both Yaz and Ryan).
But I think, actually, Rose might take the cake of most disliked companion. For the simple reason that she broke her and stupidly absorbed the time vortex energy. I think the TARDIS is quite cross about that. And then, as lovely as Rose is, in the bit of series 2 that I have seen she is very possessive of the Doctor. Which might make the TARDIS jealous because that is her thief.
And then Rose ends up hopping between universes - definitely feels off to the TARDIS now - and she herself has to fly to that universe to bring Rose back. Plus, you know, the whole seeing the Doctor suffer and seeing him making her beloved Martha suffer because Rose is gone. Which is not her fault, obviously, but I could believe it would antagonise the TARDIS nevertheless.
So, surprisingly maybe, I think the TARDIS likes Rose the least of all nuwho companions. But I haven't seen all of her run so take it with a grain of salt.
20. What's your favourite way you have included the TARDIS in a human AU/seen the TARDIS included in a human AU?
I have already answered this here :)
And I don't think I have ever written a human AU that featured the TARDIS. Except for the one scene of '36 questions about Who' that I started the other day (what am I doing?). She's a truck there :) Oh, also in the very unfinished 'Dancing with the Stars AU' she's a band name. Which is fun but not as worthy as a truck imo.

ok spiderman p5 au thing that infests my brain is coming out
mostly based on ultimate spiderman and spiderverse since those are the 2 im super familiar with.
akira is spider-man obviously. after getting sent to tokyo because of the normal p5 reasons he gets bitten by a radioactive spider and gets the normal spider powers (proportional strength, spider sense, heightened agility), with the addition of being able to get a better read on people's thought process (i dont think spiders can actually do this but i wanted to reference the personas in some way) and induce a low level of delusion in other people, making them more likely to tell the truth with a spider toxin thing. you know the deal i can make shit up. hes initially unwilling to be spider-man until stuff really gets bad with kamoshida, and then is only willing to do it whilst disguised to avoid fucking up his criminal record even more. loves actually being spiderman tho.
sojiro is almost unchanged except stuff with wakaba is different but hes still gruff but comes to love akira in more or less the same way as in p5. hates when theres supervillain fights outside his cafe (oops)
ryuji learn's akira's secret immediately and encourages him to be a hero, partly bc he thinks its cool, partly because he thinks he has a responsibility to use his powers for justice of some kind, partly to get back at kamoshida for being a massive piece of shit. he stays akira's best friend throughout his time in tokyo and almost has his side.
ann is 2nd to learn akira's secret and also encourages him to fight kamoshida (im getting to him btw). She designs the suit as well and makes it with akira. she also wants akira to be a hero but is much more cautious and worried about things than ryuji
i have no idea what to do with morgana but im thinking hes gonna be another superhero, idk what tho. probably like a shapeshifter or something? more thought is required.
Kamoshidas like. a superhero who double times as a teacher, still an abusive shitbag but now hes like publically worshipped. hes akiras first big fight after akira spreads the truth about him with calling cards and gets him to admit to his crimes publically, at which point he has to run away in shame. partly i based him on kamoshidaman (although i dont actually know anything abt pq2 im just assuming) and also mysterio in far from home.
shiho is basically the same except ill bring her back into the story later for something. havent planned that far ahead. she will date ann tho.
most other characters i only have vague ideas for, such as makoto having an alive father (nothing bad could happen to a police captain father in a spider man story surely) and futaba developing tech for akira. its the only way i can think to get him webslingers tbh. for akechi i have something cooking as well but im writing a fic for this so i kinda dont wanna spoil that bc i think its cool. im trying my best to be accurate to the characters personalities ut akira will probably be more quippy than usual bc it just feels wrong for any spider man not to quip. so yeah. other than that i think he maps onto spider man pretty well tbh, hes got the public hate campaign, the saviour complex, the sense of justice, hes stylish and hes got a social life going on to manage at the same time. haru also has some specific stuff i wanna do with her.
also this is a marvel like au so other superheros exist but its an americacentric phenomenon however the phoenix ranger feathermen are real. idk what ill do with them but they are bc it felt wrong to only have like 2 superheros. there might be others too. idk. maybe its more of ust a superhero au with specific marvel ideas. wahtever.
if i had the time and skill to do art for this id love to do it in the style of the original p5 intro with limited colours other than red and black to white spectrum. it would look cool and set it apart visually. also it would look a bit like the guy she was intereted in which i love visually so yeah.
anyway yea this is a pretty specific crossover so cant wait for no-one to care but yea ill update this with more later

Man, how WOULD Iris react to her friends asking her about the champions dragging her to hell and back??
She’d definitely freak out because they KNOW. They know what happens behind closed doors and the last person who found out got murdered for it. She already lost her grandfather, she doesn’t want to lose the last people she truly cares about
Maybe she’s try comfort Hilbert, telling him that he had no idea what was happening and it wasn’t his fault. He couldn’t have known, she really, really didn’t want to tell any of them what happened because she feared for their lives
Also so true King “This is Home” is definitely the Unova Kids in the Villain AU. They (slightly) don’t care about what Iris was done, or how she acts now, they just want their friend back. Now that they know that her new personality is the result of the champions abusing her mentally and physically, they have a reason to help her come back to them. To come back home where she belongs, not with the champions
But ough just Hilbert pulling her close and hugging her, trying not to cry right then and there because they’re comforting Iris not him. And just the other four joining the hug and telling Iris that it’s okay, they’ll help her, she doesn’t have to do this alone anymore, and that they’re sorry they never truly helped her in the past
Man Iris is just sobbing. She finally got genuine comfort and love from someone for the first time in years. Not like the champions who’d do it to mess with her head. And she’s clinging so tightly to them, scared that they’ll disappear if she lets go, but she’s knows that her friends can’t do anything, she won’t let them.
Because the last person who interfered died, and she doesn’t want the same to happen to the only people keeping her sanity intact. She’s BREAK if it were to happen
And Diantha knows just that
Bro I'm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME😭😭😭😭
No but
OUGH‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
No cause I've been thinking abt that last night too😭😭😭
Like,,,, OUGH VHDMFBMDBD shit how can I be normal after this the bw brainrot is so fucking real today
Imagine tho, Iris almost doesn't wanna leave the others bc if she does, then the Champions might attack them the same way they did w Drayden, and God she can't lose them, not them, please not them I love them please don't take them away from me too, and god she's there clinging tight on to Hilbert, crying on his chest going on how she's fucking terrified to let go, she's terrified to leave them, cause the last time someone knew abt this, the last time she left that person too, she came back to him on the floor dead with all the champions around him, and just jcmcbcnd
And the others tell her that she doesn't have to deal w the Champions anymore, that they're taking her away from them, and if they have to fight them then so be it, they don't care, they'll save Iris from them
And suddenly... Suddenly Diantha's there, the other champions too
"my, my, have I not told you that a champion doesn't cry, Iris?" She says, eyes glowing, the other champions w her, a Master Ball in hand.
And god Iris could just feel the dread and terror sinking in too, her hands were trembling as she slowly looked at Diantha, that lazy smirk on the Kalos Champion's face.
"you know, when Gengar had told me about your meeting with your friends, I paid no heed. Of course, you and Hau have your own friends, don't you?" Then she sighed, almost disappointed, "and now you want to battle us champions?"
Hilbert pulls Iris close to him, growling at Diantha, "she's not the only one, we'll battle you too. You're not taking Iris away from us."
Diantha laughs at that, then she snapped her fingers, and a strong psychic surge went through them, and then the others except Iris and Hilbert were held within Gardevoir's psychic hold. "You two.. well, I heard Iris always wanted to share that Champion title with you. Very well. If you two beat me in a battle, we'll leave them be, Iris." She then walked to the other side of the field, the same poise and elegance she always had. "But if you lose... Well, they can just say hi to your grandfather for us, then."
God imagine if that's how the others found out abt what really happened to Drayden tho cjmxnxm that he really didn't die of health issues, he was killed, by the champions no less
and Diantha's there waiting for them, calling out both Gengar and Gardevoir on the field, her hand over her Key Stone, the other outstretched towards them, "you two go first."
Hilbert finally lets go of Iris, but took her hand instead, telling her that they can win this, they have to, they will, and Iris, finally feeling some of the weight off her shoulders, nodded at him, and both of them called out Hydreigon and Emboar. Kyurem and Reshiram at the helm, waiting for the right time to attack, knowing full well Yveltal is on the other side of the field, waiting to be called out as well.

Keeping the tags by @tvmanintvland bc I love this, Charlie trying to delicately bring up Vox and Alastor's blatant cheating with each other while trying to not make them upset enough to abandon their help with the hotel is hysterical.
(I accidentally wrote a Lot about this scenario, so I added a readmore, lol).
(I kind of went off the rails, but I couldn't think of a funny scenario where Charlie actually confronts them both, but rather one where she tries to bring it up without Ever Actually Bringing It Up because she's not great at confrontation).
Like, I'm going to mess with the timeline here bc I can do anything, so like in this AU I like to imagine that Charlie had been trying to get her hotel up and running for like, at least a decade before Vaggie fell and she met her. (Maybe in canon it took until she had Vaggie's help and support to try to go bigger, hence the interview and commercial taking so long to happen).
Except she (somehow) runs into Angel, and that's how Vox and Alastor get in her radius. Angel allows some of his employees from the studio to live at the hotel and try her "redemption" program in exchange for a stable place to live. But, suddenly going from an abandoned hotel to having living inhabitants is expensive (and the hotel isn't in the best condition), so enter Vox - willing to do advertising and fundraising for the hotel, in exchange for...I don't know, a favor (like canon Alastor), an in with hell's royalty, manipulation for a possible future need? Either way, Vox helps Charlie with the hotel in regards to funds, so in this AU the original hotel is in much better condition with a lot of more modern technology.
And at first, Charlie is ecstatic (and a bit suspicious) with Vox's help after Angel's. (Two Overlords just helping her try to redeem the same sinners whose souls they own? Even she isn't that naive to think there's no underlying reason past simple altruism). But she sees his wedding ring and (much like a majority of sinners in hell), it makes her think just, maybe, he could be trusted. After all, who gets married in hell? At least, with sinners - hellborn getting married isn't uncommon, but sinners being married is almost unheard of.
But then! She meets Alastor, and suddenly, her suspicions go haywire. Because Vox is wearing a ring. And Alastor is not. But they're clearly together, and now she doesn't know what to do. Because she can't just turn a blind eye to Vox cheating on whoever he's married to, but she also knows that saying too much might ruin her plans for redeeming hell's sinners.
But any time she tries to bring up Vox's marriage, he doesn't even seem to try to hide his relationship with Alastor - and not once has he mentioned whoever he's married to. Is he cheating? Did they die in an Extermination, and bringing it up is callous of her? But, surely, if he's still upset over whoever he's married to, he'd mention them and not be in a new relationship? So IS he cheating?! What is the right move here? How can she tell his partner he's being unfaithful if she can't even get a name out of Vox?
And also, I like to have both Vox and Alastor being married but ALSO trading souls with each other. (Considering this is hell, no one really seems to respect marriage, and soul trading is more permanent, anyway).
Except, the way this happens also brings more stress to poor Charlie's life and makes her even LESS sure about the right move forward.
(In my headcanon, how powerful a demon is, as well as how many souls they own, affect the ability for others to own their soul. So when Vox begins making deals, Alastor takes Vox's soul to negate the ability of anyone to trick Vox into losing his soul - and they have plans of Vox eventually owning Alastor's soul. Except, until Vox gains power and souls, he can't own Alastor's soul without it overpowering him - even if Alastor is willing to give Vox his soul for their marriage. So for years, Alastor owns Vox's soul but NOT vice versa).
So, somehow, it comes up that Alastor OWNS Vox's soul. And Charlie is SO ALARMED, even if no one else seems to be. Is Alastor forcing Vox's infidelity!? Is Alastor even worse of a homewrecker than she even thought? But, once again, any time she tries to delicately bring this up - Vox seems both fine and like there isn't even an issue. How can she help Vox if she can't even get him to talk about the problem?
And this goes on almost the entire time until Vaggie falls and Charlie meets her. And so, when it comes time to introduce Vaggie to Vox and Alastor, she tries to explain the situation and asks for advice.
(I like to imagine that Angel is the one more directly involved with the hotel, with V/A having a much more "hands-off" approach, so they only visit a few times a year unless something requires their attention, and even then many times it's only Vox visiting).
But Vaggie, ex-Exterminator angel, suspicious of every sinner and ESPECIALLY Overlord at her girlfriend's hotel, watches both Vox and Alastor like a hawk.
And she notices something that Charlie seemingly never did. The Radio Demon seems to have a ring on one of his antlers. Curious, but unwilling to believe or trust either of these demons, she asks about the fact that the Radio Demon owns the soul of the Video Demon.
And both Charlie and Vaggie lose it when it comes up that now, suddenly, Vox ALSO owns Alastor's soul!? They didn't even know that was POSSIBLE. How can two sinners just trade souls???
(Sure, Vox had mentioned that being their plan, but Charlie never BELIEVED him. She thought it was more evidence of Alastor manipulating and lying to Vox for control - like when a married man lies to his mistress about leaving his wife. Except in this scenario, Vox is the married man, and Alastor is the mistress - but Alastor is the one in control. Charlie was never certain who was the one she had to blame, here. It's been a lot for her to deal with).
And so, it winds up being Vaggie (trained to notice things no one else would) who realizes that the mysterious person Vox is married to and cheating on with Alastor, IS actually Alastor. And that Vox isn't actually cheating on his partner at all.
Vaggie reveals this to Charlie, who is So Relieved but also confused. Why doesn't Alastor just wear his ring the same way Vox does? And then Alastor just laughs about how he needs to protect his ring from being damaged, since blood can be such a difficult thing to clean, you know? (Charlie and Vaggie are horrified, but at least now they know. Charlie has spent a decade dealing with this hanging over her head, and now she can finally rest).
Hi, sorry I'm not dead but I just thought of something
Alastor in the Housewife Vox AU wears his wedding ring on his left antler on top of his head, and NOT his hands, bc he spends quite a bit of time using his hands to claw and rip into assorted viscera and that would both make his ring dirty and have the potential of losing it inside someone. Anywhere else is unsanitary, and also, it'd be an insult to Vox to treat his ring in such a manner. (The ring is infused with his magic to grow in size when he does, as well).
Vox, however, is a businessman - so he wears his ring on his ring finger because it looks both Trustworthy and Professional (for some reason being married makes sinners forget that they're all in hell for a reason, and it makes it that much easier to have a monopoly on media and technology in the Pride Ring). People are much more likely to listen to and sell their soul to a married man, so he uses that to his advantage.
The discrepancy in how each of them wears their rings has caused some confusion in the past, as they see the wedding ring on Vox but not a matching on on Alastor’s hand - and so they think either Alastor refuses to wear one, has taken his off to cheat (Ridiculous!), or that Vox is ACTUALLY married to someone else and Alastor is a homewrecker. Alastor quite enjoys proving anyone who questions his or Vox's loyalty wrong (not that they live long enough to regret such assumptions).

yesterday's ep gave me brainworms so here have (3+1) 'i tried to kill you but i can't do it' trope with toddblack:
toddblack au where black is an assassin and todd's the rising star of thailand's political scene. there's a hit out on him bc he's young, popular and corrupt but he's walking the line just enough that his work is actually. creating positive changes in society? and nobody can tell if he's following a secret agenda under the pretence of being corrupt or if he actually is just bad at even being evil, but either way – there are people ruffled in high places and they want him out.
so black accepts the hit. he's a ghost in the business; clean, quiet, in and out, quick work. he doesn't make a fuss and he doesn't ever miss. he combs through all of the data and footage on todd and when he knows the guy's dimpled smile like the back of his hand, he goes in.
except. todd knows. he's waiting for black on his sofa, awake even though it's six am and all the intel said he should've been asleep. black's had a few run-ins like this, facing down a target when he hasn't planned for it but it's strange pulling his gun out in the cold morning light.
unfortunately, he doesn't get to shoot. todd smiles, the one with his dimple, and holds out a thin file. black doesn't like to indulge last-moment tricks but todd grins – 'scared i'll give you the slip?' – and the implication is insulting enough to have him yanking the file out of the other's hands.
tucked inside are transcripts and pictures. enough for black to understand what's happening. the man who ordered the hit is about to be arrested. 'all his contracts and dealings are being voided,' todd sighs, leaning back, head cradled on intertwined fingers. 'i don't suppose you'll be able to collect a check from a frozen account?'
black's jaw clenches. involuntary. 'i received a pretty heavy advance,' he says, lowly. 'could probably take out a limb or two, at least.' it'd be easy, at this hour, on this deserted floor. cock the gun. shoot. leave.
the politician's smile doesn't flicker. if black spared the time to think about it, he'd wonder at the complete cool this todd guy has, staring down a barrel. 'if memory serves, the authorities are probably combing through his payments as we speak.' todd's face twists into something sympathetic. 'you might want to make sure they don't find any links to your account. no?'
it's a stupid distraction. shouldn't work. the only reason it does is bc his account is managed by white. his brother doesn't know what he does, but he insists on cleaning the books and if anything gets traced back to him, black would have to fight tooth and nail to clear his twin.
he leaves todd's penthouse the same way he got in, and promises himself to get the fucker next time.
still, black has a code. all fucked up and morally grey (black?) though he may be, he doesn't kill unless there's a hit specifically ordered.
fortunately, more people want todd dead.
the next time a price is set for todd's head, black scraps his ongoing mission to take it. heads straight to the club he knows todd owns and finds himself ushered up to the vip section before he can even try sneaking in unnoticed.
this time, todd isn't alone. another man is seated by his side on the dark loveseat, but the politician lifts his gaze only to meet black's and doesn't look away.
'had a feeling we'd meet again,' he greets, the shadows of his face looking amused even under the dim neons. black doesn't say anything, but his fingers twitch. he doesn't like being predicted.
'get out,' he tells the guy cozied up against his target. 'unless you want a lot of blood on that shirt.'
todd, who he's rapidly realising might be more of a problem than previously expected, looks delighted at the threat. 'promise?'
god. black pulls out his gun. in response, todd's groupie scrambles upright, and his bodyguard, with the world's slowest reflexes, yells out a warning for him to stand down.
todd waves him off. 'better make it quick,' he grins, addressing black. 'word on the street is a police raid's coming pretty soon.'
he's bluffing. he has to be. there's no way a guy who sees his death warrant approaching, sabotages his own club and bleeds money when there's so many better ways to avoid ending up dead. if he always knows black's coming, he doesn't need to take the most inconvenient route possible to squirm out of this. and yet—
black glares as todd takes a long sip of his drink, staring. for once, he's the one being sized up by a target. it would be refreshing, if it wasn't for the way his knuckles are starting to itch for something.
'you're welcome to stay and watch the chaos,' todd says finally. like he's just a polite host. 'i'm sure the police would love to have a word.'
motherfucker.
when the thumping music stops only seconds later, loud official warnings fill the air, and black knows he wasn't lying. fighting down every instinct that screams at him to grab todd by the collar, he makes for the back exit, steps wide and pace quick, till he realises there are voices coming from there, too. he's blocked.
'i could request them to leave you alone,' black hears todd say, standing behind him now. looking at his face reveals a sleek calm he's getting used to encountering. todd shrugs. 'the club's not technically under my name. they can't touch me. i'll let you walk free, if that's what you'd like.'
black snorts. 'if i cancel the hit, you mean.' todd's lips quirk up for a second before he returns to his collected composure.
'spare me,' he requests, purposely pleading with wide eyes. a pause and then—his usual smile breaks the facade of sincerity. 'what if i promise i'll behave this time?'
black rolls his eyes. he won't say it worked, but he's walking out of the club a while later, untouched, with a fresh deal fulfilled. can't say it didn't work, either.
the third time he sees a hit order with todd's name on it, he's almost tempted to pass it along to someone else. but gumpa doesn't really do hits anymore, more or less settled now as black's handler. better to go and see this out instead of fielding the interrogation he'll get if he tries to push this away.
black gets into the penthouse just like the first time. minimal effort, zero unplanned encounters. but then he walks into the massive living room and—everything's a mess.
todd is unwell, he realises, when the politician looks up from the mess of papers and files sprawled across the floor. 'oh,' todd says. like he's just realising how late the hour is, instead of panicking about seeing his designated assassin a third time. 'again?'
black nods, feeling a little strange in his chest at the absence of todd's usual twinkle. it returns a bit when he grins and says, 'i suppose this time i deserve it, huh?' but the words can't filter out the disquiet quality fluttering about him.
black knows what's happened. some of todd's decisions have been facing fire and he's finally started getting flak from others in the corrupt system. but he's not doing anything wrong, morally. or at least black doesn't think so, and black can just barely recognise morals anymore. 'get in bed,' he says, brain already spinning out excuses for what he'll have to tell gumpa when he goes back, gun still loaded. 'and eat some fucking medicine, you look like a ghost. can't solve shit when you're that sick.'
todd doesn't say anything. just looks at black for a long moment before nodding.
black doesn't stay. he's not fucking stupid, hanging around to befriend a target but ten minutes later finds him at the nearest chemist, buying some crap to have delivered to 'the obnoxious asshole in that penthouse'. he's not stupid but that doesn't mean he can't make stupid decisions. whatever.
it's only when gumpa mentions mildly, weeks later, how his target walking around hale and hearty isn't doing any favours for their brand that black forces his head back in the game. books it to find todd and do...smth (he's not sure what, yet) but todd is, apparently, an idiot bigger than the guy white's started dating. he doesn't spot black tailing him, doesn't notice the traffic light turning green, has hardly looked up to see the huge truck hurtling over. no, the fucker's focused on a phone call as he starts crossing the road.
black's fingers wrap around todd's arm and yank, pulling him back narrowly before the six-wheeler rattles past.
'you're a fucking child,' he seethes, letting go with a snarl. 'are all politicians this thick in the head? is it an entry level requirement?'
if he's surprised, todd's grin covers it instantly. black thinks he could shatter glass with the feeling rumbling through him at the sight of it. 'come on. there's a difference btw oblivious and stupid.'
black wishes it wasn't a crowded intersection they were standing at. his gun is trembling against his lower back. 'what idiot argues semantics after experiencing that?'
'i'm literally a politician, i argue all the t—'
'you almost just died, jackass.'
it's seven different types of ridiculous that he has to be the one to point this out. does the guy really have zero awareness? maybe black's been going about this the wrong way, should just sit back and wait for fate to do her magic without interrupting to—
his brain screeches to a halt. todd's already frowning, confused, like he can't quite be certain of what he just heard but then his eyebrows rise, pointed. and black? black has to leave. now.
he moves, feet instantly setting off, taking him rapidly away from the nuisance planting himself in his life, like it'll magically undo what just happened.
maybe gumpa has it right. retirement isn't a bad idea. at his current rate of stupidity, black's not far from scoring eligibility for politics.
and then obv eventually todd's rivals send other assassins after him and black goes mildly feral bc that's his target. he deals with them every time it happens and finally he has to admit to himself: maybe he's just a pathetic simp bodyguard for his bf now<3

so ive been following your fx's backstory au for a while, and ik you haven't mentioned this for now so if it's a huge spoiler or something you haven't worked out yet then feel free to ignore this, but how does jian lan and her relationship with fx fit into your au seeing as that is one of the two positive relationships canon-vise we know feng xin had with a woman?
and on the same note, what about fx's relationship with xl's parents? they both seem fond of him in the canon, queen more so than the king, so im super curious to see how that would be involved in your au. will there be more on the mutual animosity between qi rong and feng xin as well? are fx and his father the only ones with ties to the royal family, and does fx's sister have any strong feelings for them or any sort of connection?
side characters are soooo fun to play around with, especially when it comes to characters like fx who were barely given backstories at all!! if you ever decide to publish this as a fic, i will be the first in line to read it!!
for reference: | more asks (1) | more asks (2) | meet the OC's | #fx backstory au | THE FIC (ao3) |
Ohohohoh yay more questions!!! (this was totally not sitting in my inbox for 6 months... to the day 😅)
1. Jian Lan and Feng Xin <3
Jian Lan is the first female relationship Feng Xin attempts to navigate on his own. I think he’s basically an overgrown teenager trying to deal with his first crush. It doesn’t start as one, but through their talks it grows that way fast. To be honest I don’t add too much to Jian Lan’s canon backstory (at least for the moment) since I think a lot of it is self-explanatory. Feng Xin did indeed love her. And she still sent him away. We don’t know the reason why, but I think its mostly because of his relationship with Xie Lian.
Comparing Feng Xin’s feelings for Jian Lan and for Xie Lian is a bit like comparing apples and oranges, they are completely different types of love and devotion. With Jian Lan his feelings are new, novel, and a bit of light in the very dark time that is book 4. It’s easy and its indulgent. But at the end of the day, Feng Xin can’t imagine his life without Xie Lian. Whether because he wants it to be that way, or because of his obligation as his guard (I think it’s a bit of both) his loyalty means that he will prioritize Xie Lian every time. And even if he loves Jian Lan, and she knows this, she also knows he simply can’t prioritize her. It doesn’t matter if its romantic bc Feng Xin cannot prioritize his romantic love anyway. And I really do think that’s the reason she kicks him to the curb. There’s no point in continuing something that can’t possibly work out. (There was a reason for FX, this was his escape, but at the end of the day it wasn’t his decision to make.)
As for how this all ties in, it just adds to Feng Xin’s belief that he’s cursed when it comes to women. They either die, hurt him, get hurt, or leave. It might not be true, but it’s a belief no one has ever challenged after his sister scared the shit out of him with it, so what else can he do except trust his gut?
2. Feng Xin and Xie Lian’s Parents
Im SO glad you asked. Feng Xin has limited knowledge on the parental front lol. He sees a lot of his dad in XL’s dad, but his bias toward Xie Lian means he is constantly on the opposing end of XL’s arguments with his dad. He finds this dynamic incredibly difficult to manage because he wants Xie Lian to get along with his father, but he can’t ever see a way for that to work.
Xie Lian’s mother, however, might as well be the mother Feng Xin lost. When XL and FX are around 5/6yo and start to become friends the first person XL introduces him to is his mother. He is, understandably, scared. But quickly warms up to her as he sees how important she is to Xie Lian.
3. Qi Rong, Shen Liang, and ties to the royal family
Y’know, I hadn’t thought of much in regard to him (maybe thatll change now). He really just see’s QR as a self-centered little brat. Their values cannot be more polar opposite. His job is to serve and protect, and QR has a history of doing whatever the fuck he wants and ignoring how everyone (except XL) is affected.
Shen Liang does not have any connection to royalty. So that makes it very easy to blame the crown when her mother dies. (Grief can make you believe anything if you can tie the right strings together). I’m still figuring out how much blame she has, but it does revolved around Xie Lian since both him and her didi were born around the same time and there was a lack of resources for her mother, with a very premature baby fx, because of the expectant royal heir (who was also late term.)
.
I hope that answers everything. Next chapter coming soon (first draft is done!), im very excited to share, hope you are still excited to read, anon! Thanks for the ask!

Jin-Woo having absolutely no interest in taking the time to tell people he’s human fits what’s established at the beginning at the first novel.
Which is that people who look down on him (for weakest e-rank, thinking he got possessed) aren’t entitled to know jack about what’s up with him. So he tells someone ‘I am totally just a risk-taking idiot’ to get them to drop it. So letting people keep assuming he isn’t human fits ‘you are not a high enough level friend to unlock my tragic backstory’
But I was like ‘AU where Kamish’s shadow didn’t fall apart and Jin-Woo got to keep the tailwaggy dragon’ during the conference. He didn’t summon him when fighting Thomas Andre because Jin-Woo knows trauma from the effing Cartenon Temple statues.
When Thomas goes to apologize, Jin-Woo goes, ‘The US gave me an opportunity to get a new summon’ and they go out to a huge field and Thomas gets to pose for photos where he’s heroically vanquishing Kamish, and the Scavenger guild taking a photo standing him on while he’s in a dramatic death position. And there is throwing of a massive tree trunk, and more people seeing Sung Jin-Woo speak monster language.
So the conference people go, hey, since you can talk to monsters would you be willing to do a presentation on any info about WTF is up with the gates that you might know (from being a monster boss). And he thinks and then sighs and admits he’s still trying to figure out who he needs to fight to stop the gates but there’s no reason not to tell people what he does know since it actually is their business for once. And asks the conference organize to ask the American bureau thing if Ms. Selner is willing to come up.
So like, the hunters seeing inhuman stoic (except when he’s smiling at apocalyptic dragons apparently) badass Sung Jun-Woo expose his Complete Inability To Communicate. He actually tries to tell people things for once in his life! And probably sprains something. He got Ms. Selner up to ask her like, what she could learn from sensing people but a lot of it is her going. ‘that one-sentence answer made no sense, wtf is a system please elaborate.’ But like, politely since if this guy doesn’t help humanity is doomed.
So you get Sung Jin-Woo getting to reveal all this badass stuff he’s done that no one knew about, but also people going ‘this is an orphan with negative EQ who uses flat affect and ignoring people not bc arrogance but because talking to people is exhausting so the answer to ‘do I care enough to try to correct this misunderstanding’ is almost always no.’
He is a Good Kid who like, isn’t possessed yet but was definitely being groomed for possession, who is basically trying to deal with all this alone bc what happened to his parents made him like Harry Potter in that like, the idea that going to adults for help is an option is completely foreign to him.
People going ‘uh why didn’t you?’ and he’s just blinking ‘oh yeah... in hindsight that was a thing I could have done...’ and the juxtaposition of terrifying strategist hunter and ‘no thoughts head empty’ communicator
