Mikey has good ideas most of the time! ...He just tends to execute them before explaining 'em to anybody else, lol

Shen Yuan getting transported into pidw isn't "the system punishing him for being a lazy internet hater," but instead representative of "step 1 of the creative process: getting so mad at something you decide to go write your own fucking book" in this essay I will

i saw this tweet and found it interesting for two reasons. one is that some people base how good cartoon network would be to toh by how it treated su, and despite the fact that su’s treatment by the network was considered poor at the time, now its thought to be exceptionally good in comparison to modern shows.
two is how exactly su got impacted by a limited budget. a common criticism is how characters like connie, peridot, and lapis are left out of missions. but balancing a lot of characters is not only hard but also costly (extra animation, extra voices—it’s been revealed that the show is limited to a set number of characters per episode otherwise they’re over budget). animation mistakes are not uncommon since retakes cost extra. the entire reason the original show got cut short was due to loss of funding!

I can only conclude that the reason arthur was so blind to merlins magic was because he couldnt actually have a coherent thought around him because he was so besotted and distracted by him

dark/edgy/grumpy/misunderstood/brooding character with parental issues/trust issues x adorable bisexual with who follows them around like a lost puppy despite their arguments both pining hardcore over each other, is the perfect ship.
It works for everything! Every genre! It's fucking perfect and so tasty. So Good I'd inject it into my veins if I could!
Even better if they're both a little insane but one of them is better at hiding it.

the brief and instinctive touch when a whumpee wakes up following being unresponsive or revives after resuscitation - the moment when the person there who cares about them is just so relieved that they’re alive, that they’re responding, that they just can’t help clasp them in a tight hug, or cup their cheek, or kiss their head. that nonverbal you’re still here, i got you, thank fuck you’re alive.

I'm thinking about siblings and sons and legacies again. Raph's "ugh, I sound like Leo" and Mikey's "my father taught me better than that" and Splinter's oft-repeated "he who lives without honor, ends without honor." I'm thinking about how Raph sounds like Leo and Donny and Mikey who sound like Master Splinter who sounds like Hamato Yoshi, and this legacy of what it means to have honor/be honorable/act honorably. Not as a teaching of ninjutsu but of the Hamato Clan. I'm thinking about how this family's legacy is one of teaching its sons about honor.

Anime/manga fans when an anime/manga does the bare fucking minimum (not oversexualizing the female characters, not making bipoc characters racist caricatures, drawing people with different body types normally, and just generally being normal about characters that aren’t cishet able-bodied men)

hot take but like. I don't like the idea that characters will name their children after someone that died during the story. I've seen people head cannon Nina naming her son Matthias or Kaz and Inej naming their daughter/son Jordan and like...
I dunno it feels weird.
Why would you hold your child to this impossible standard of Someone Long Gone?? In a story about dealing with the past and learning to grow beyond your Trauma™️ why would you name your child after someone in their past?
Let them have their own identity and be someone completely new. There are other ways to honor someone's memory!!

"squidward doesn't like hearing spongebob cry" is something that i don't think is ever explicitly said in the show but i feel like it's one of those things where once it's pointed out to you you can't miss it. i feel like it's probably called back to repeatedly because of pizza delivery, not only because the climax of the episode is so iconic but because as the first episode centered around squidward and spongebob interacting it serves as a kind of blueprint for their relationship.

always thinking about how many scenes there are where sonic or knuckles is attacked or gets hurt or something and the other immediately rushes in to protect them or make sure they're okay like Ohhhh .... you care about himmmmm ... <3

You don’t have a show without Henry Mills. Emma might be the main character, but Henry is the heart of the show (he has the heart of the truest believer!!! it’s right there!!!). Every single character is irrevocably tied to him. He changed everyone’s lives and gave them the opportunity to change each other’s lives. He gave Emma a family. He gave Regina redemption. He delivered Rumple to his son. He gave David and Snow their daughter back. He was the reason behind Emma and Neal’s relationship and the good thing that came out of it. He healed Neal by giving him the opportunity to break the cycle of neglecting father/son relationships. Killian redeemed himself from his mistreatment of Baelfire by Henry allowing him to take a stepfather role in his life. The text says Emma broke the first curse, but Henry is really 99,9% responsible for it, thereby giving every single citizen of Storybrooke their lives back. Regina’s love for him broke the second curse. He was the one who got them out of the Heroes and Villains story. He’s descended from the Enchanted Forest but was born and raised in our world, making him the bridge between them. He did the impossible when, for just one second, he made the people of our world believe in magic and reunited his family again. Once Upon A Time is a show that operates around fate and Henry is the person who ties everyone’s red strings together. He is quite literally the center of their universe. He is The Author. He is the truest believer. It’s been there all along.

alloace friend i introduced to malevolent who, like many of us, likes to project his sexuality onto his fav fictional characters: hm i see arthur lester as asexual homoromantic
me, an aroallo who has been slowly dying over the lack of representation for years: CAN WE HAVE THIS ONE PLEASE.
(not a dig at the friend btw he had no way of knowing that arobi arthur is personal to me and also he can hc whatever he wants. i just thought it was funny)
PLLEEEAASEEE CAN WE HAVE THIS ONE PLEAAASEEEEE
no but like. aroallo arthur has solid canon evidence. the remark about how he didn't "love" his wife, merely "liked" her. the sheer and persistent lack of romance in the actual story, as compared to the incredibly sexual things arthur sometimes says. the lovequeerness of it all.
aromantic bisexual arthur lester will forever and always be real to me

you know sometimes one of the things the fandom does that i like the least is joke about how certain ccs are "lorephobic" because it basically always ignores the lore they actually are really and visibly doing. like, sure, they may not be doing the lore YOU'RE looking at, but, one, lore doesn't just mean "big overarching server storyline" it can also mean solo stuff. it can also mean 'builds that have story built into them'. it can also mean 'fun little storyline between like two guys'. it can also mean character continuity. it can mean many things. two, "this guy doesn't do lore" is NOT the same thing as "this guy doesn't do the specific lore i personally like and want to see them doing" and i don't always think you guys know the difference. all of this, of course, is to say: hey guys did you know zedaph can canonically time travel,
