This is NFR Blackjack because scorp dog
Since Jack’s soul was removed differently and replaced, the true soul was dumped in the 4th dimension angry and confused.
The soul quickly discovered that it’s apparent fate was to simply mill around the 4th dimension forever as a monster pilots it’s corpse. It was less than pleased about this even less so about the mutations it endured.
After what felt like an eternity in the confusing world the soul came upon a familiar face, a man dragged into the 4th dimension by his own hubris. At first the soul was angry at the man, angrier when it realized the man couldn’t even remember his own name, it felt like vengeance was slipping from its hand.
And then it realized, if the man could get into the 4th dimension, surely he could find a way out eventually.
The two formed an uneasy alliance, and began searching.
It quickly became clear the soul was rotten, maybe it always was or maybe it was the years alone, but the soul lacked empathy, destroying anything in its path to escape, even creatures that would try to help.

Hey so like for no reason in particular, here's this link to the place where i honestly am more consistent in uploading things in actually navigable boxes, and also here, where I'm able to be like i am here in the freak weirdo wrongthink way that the Tumblr staff assumes i do, as a trans person with the audacity to not implicitly hate fat people personally
Things are going fuckways here in a not new- but definitely bolstered way- and I'm not trying to sit here after seeing the water go out and be surprised when i drown

: ̗̀➛ALICE IN BORDERLAND
Tumblr media
SHUNTARO CHISHIYA ———————————————————
about Chishiya, since the show watered him down ;p he actually was kind of heartless and never understood the concept of life and wasn't interested in it either. so if you're mad at someone for saying "awful" things he would have do, you're probably the one mischaracterizing him In his backstory (manga-based only), we learn that he was born into a family with no love and affection. his parents never showed interest in him; they only cared about work—actually, that much—that even if they didn't love each other anymore, they pretended to be happy so the hospital where the father worked—his father was the hospital head—wouldn't get into any scandals. chishiya basically grows up in a family with no feelings, and since he never got to know them, he still doesn't know them to this day. he wanted to check if he could feel anything by starting to work in his father's hospital as a student. he wanted to know if he could feel compassion toward any of the patients and if that would help him find an interest in life; guess what, it didn’t help, then he kind of gave up on himself and looking for any sense in life or finding a good in himself
but there was one thing that interested him since he was a child: it was the Mona Lisa painting. we see him looking at it, stating that he couldn't look away and that "everyone wants to be seen for who they are"; it is a reference to his history in various ways. first, the painting, in one of its meanings, is a visual representation of happiness. looking at what he said, it could be interpreted as him referring to his family, who are actually just pretenders and are "painted" happy. the second meaning refers to him, as he always felt different from others and viewed emotional people as stupid. because of that, other people couldn't understand him; he reminded himself of the painting when he tells arisu he just wanted someone to understand him. he said the Mona Lisa, in one theory, has been said to be Da Vinci himself dressed as a woman—which refers to people actually not knowing Da Vinci, just as people do not actually know and understand him.
in Borderland, his first game was 6 of Diamonds - a blackjack. there we could see how intelligent and observant he actually is. he never gambled before and was not only able to pick up the rules through observation but also invented a mathematical card counting method to decide how to bet. other players there couldn’t understand how a young man like him could act so calm and unbothered, but he simply had no concept of living and didn't care if he died or not. from the beginning, he only "helped" others when he saw they might be useful—that's why he helped Karube and gave him information about the beach since he was with Arisu, who he became interested in.
on the beach, he paired with Kuina, but they weren’t friends, as the show depicts; he had from the beginning planned to use her to steal the cards by himself when they were about to steal them together. he needed her to get closer to Arisu—to use him for his plan—he didn't care what was going to happen to them(arisu & usagi). kuina even asked him if he really didn't feel sorry at all, but of course, he doesn’t feel anything. Kuina later in the series even said she hates him just as much as she hates niragi 10 of hearts: after the start of the game, he leaves Kuina behind and is trying to kill Niragi; he says he's pissing him off since Niragi reminds him how awful he also is. both of them don’t care about other lives, killing and betraying them. Chishiya really hated niragi. he knew there was something wrong with him, but he couldn’t change and gave it up already in his backstory. he wants niragi dead so he won’t have to face the thought of how evil he actually is. also, when he learns Arisu is alive, he doesn’t try to solve the game; he knows Arisu will do it and that he doesn’t need to interfere. especially when it’s a heart game, he may be pretty good at them, but he doesn’t really like them since he isn’t good with emotions and never really understood other people's minds.
King of diamonds: there, as usual, Chishiya couldn't care less about his life and gives Kuzuryu the option to kill him. as i said, he never had the concept of life and was only in the borderlands looking for something interesting, like, for example, his beloved Mona Lisa painting. unexpectedly, Kuzuryu decides to sacrifice himself for Chishiya, which actually makes him wonder—how do people decide to sacrifice for others? Why do they do that? He contemplates the concept of empathy. Kuzuryu's sacrifice was like a breaking point for Chishiya because, before, Arisu's will to help others interested him, but what Kuzuryu did for him made him actually think about changing.
Arisu and Niragi: when the shooting started, because of what i wrote above and Arisu's speech before Usagi appears, he decides to take Usagi's bullet. He wants to do something nice in return, something out of character—as he said. he wanted to know how it feels to help others, to do something for someone instead of for himself. he then expressed thoughts about the Mona Lisa, stating he only wanted someone to understand him, and it happened to be Arisu and Niragi. He was glad to meet them and told Arisu his existence was just to show how empty humans can be—“I understand,” he responded. he came to the conclusion that he probably never wanted to learn about others and/or emotions because he was too jealous of them to think of it, viewing them as stupid instead. summarizing all his character: he was selfish, lacking humanity, and disinterested in life. so why, after all, did he decide to go back to the real world and survived the shooting? because of Arisu, Usagi, and Kuzuryu, he finally found a reason to live - to slowly change and try to understand what is humanity - i think that moment - him finding a reason to live - was the most beautiful part of his character. they were his new Mona Lisa, making him interested and causing him to think just like the painting did before; it was what he searched for in the borderland.

so. on dropout.tv there is one (1) episode of a show called "Dimension 20: Foundry", filmed over zoom during the pandemic, that never got past this pilot episode as far as I can tell. the idea is that brennan lee mulligan and [guest] will stat out a character together. the guest in this episode is lou wilson.
they create a full character sheet for Chungledown Bim*. as a 20th level warlock (Pact of the Chain).
now, it's possible that "Dimension 20: Foundry" just never took off, or got pushed to the side, but I personally believe that brennan lee mulligan made up this show specifically to trick lou wilson into creating his archnemesis.
the d20 wiki page for Chungledown Bim has the basic stats and some of the feats, but nowhere near the level of detail as a full character sheet (understandable). also completely understandably, the d20 transcription fan community has not come out with a transcript for this one extremely obscure video. I bring this up because I went through and did my best to accurately transcribe the character sheet, because it's fucking bonkers.
I also included some direct quotes from the episode in the often-ignored 2rd page of the character sheet where you list your backstory and what you look like and "allies and organizations" and general stuff that's significant but has no mechanical properties.
so. TLDR: i re-created Chungledown Bim's character sheet from the video where brennan and lou create one for him. god help us all.
*lou states in the video that 'Chungledown' has no hyphen.
bc the image IDs are going to be so so long, I'm putting em below the images instead of in alt text.

sorry the resolution's shit, I don't know why it did that.
note: I will not be noting areas I left blank in the image id. you can assume it's a basic dnd 5e charsheet template. i did the dark mode one bc i have sensitive eyes and wrote in comic sans for dyslexia reasons but otherwise that's how its organized, idk how to explain it in an image id other than just listing the information contained within.

“There was a man, Chungledown Bim, but like the character, the fullness of Chungedown Bim starts the day I turned my back on him, and that’s the day he begins the work to become the man we [he and Brennan] are creating today, and that man is 20 levels of warlock” - Lou Wilson
“like an arcane John Wick of taking a shit in your mouth” - Brennan Lee Mulligan
Treasure:
his trinket, the Seagull’s Beak is the literal, dirty, grungy beak of a dead seagull. he gets “surprisingly emotional” when he can’t find it, and sleeps clutching it.

Not an confession but it's an topic i always wanted to ramble about: How Dee's death (Deeath) went down
It's actually a LOT more elaborated than you would think; There's multiple cutscenes and small lore tidbits that add so much more to it. I'll contextualize what was going on first:
June XX, 1973 - Henry killed 2 kids at Fredbear's Family Diner, leading them to possess the Spring Freddy and Spring Bonnie suits (i believe it happened on june 19th, as that would make it less than a week before y'know what); He then convinces William to help him get rid of the evidence (this is BEFORE he was lobotomized, back when he still had a moral compass and acted as a fairly normal person. This detail is gonna be insanely important so keep it in mind). Worth noting that for whatever reason the robots aren't agressive, likely because the fat iguana knew how to keep them controlled by exploiting their fear.
June XX, 1973 (june 20-21th is where i think it makes the most sense) - Henry's original plan was to rig Will's Springbonnie suit and then frame him as the murderer but William Fucking Afton always comes back HOWEVER this was even better for Henry as it made Willy a perfect labrat to Miller's research... That's a topic for another day though.
Afternoon June 23, 1973 - Jack leaves Dee at the Diner for her 6th birthday and goes home, buries his dead dog and then drinks 'till he passes out.
6 pm june 23 - The party's over, the restaurant is closing down, almost everyone went home and now Dee is left alone. Henry sees this as a opportunity to kill a third kid so he uses the Spring Freddy suit to lure her into an employees-only room (not the saferoom; likely the maintenance room as this was before cameras where put everywhere)... except Dee actually tries to fight back. Henry does injury her but he's playing it safe, not taking any chances that she might set off his springlocks,
After a few minutes of unsucessfully trying to kill her, Henry instead leaves her locked and bleeding out in that room and tells William about the situation, asking for his help. Willie hesitates and even tells Henry "Why can't you do it yourself?" to which Henry replies "She keeps struggling". He then forces Dave to do it.
Reminder: he HAD morals, THIS is the moment that they get shattered. He wasn't just hesitating, he was crying his eyeballs out. Hell, i think part of the reason flipside Dee forgave him fairly easily is because she saw the sheer agony he was in because he HAD to do it. this deeply traumatized him, Davetrap freaks out in the evil ending when Jack brings up Dee because THIS is what broke William and turned him into Dave; It was his first kill, what led to him questioning Henry's ethics and ultimately getting lobotomized. Deep down he WANTS to redeem himself but his devotion to his "father figure" - the closest person to him - prevents him from doing so.
When Jack got there, She was still alive. He was THIS close to saving her and yet... he couldn't. (Also the reason Dee must have been at the maintenance/backstage is because Jack died in the saferoom and she wasn't there, at least not initially)
When he was dying in the spring freddy suit, he SAW Henry carry Dee's corpse and put it in the SpringBonnie suit (it's literally her hair style). My headcanon is that Miller was trying to do the whole "two souls haunting one robot" that Fnaf Golden Freddy has, except it didn't work out here so he made the Puppet instead.
TL;DR: Dee's death is basically THE moment the lore revolves around; it's essential to Jack, Dave, Henry, Blackjack and (obviously) Dee's characters, adding so much depth to them just from how they were impacted by it.
Just wanted to lore ramble and i don't think anyone ever went in depth as i just did so... Thanks for coming into TED talk (:

Legacy, and why I think he acts the way he does.
Legacy Jack is both an interesting and equally complex character to me, and I’ve been meaning to dive into him recently, so;
In my opinion, one of the most common misconceptions (that I’ve fallen victim to myself at some point), is that Legacy Jack is somehow emotionless and/or pure evil. Henry himself implies it too: “You have no conscience. No soul pushing you back.” As I mentioned before in my davesport codependency post: Jack’s emotional palate was undoubtedly altered because of Blackjack and his soul harbouring his strong emotions, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of feeling at all. He shows regret when Dee passed and when redeeming himself as Legacy towards Blackjack, and his “It shouldn’t at all be hard to say goodbye to you, and yet, it is” speech towards Dave in dsaf 3’s good route signifies an attachment and fondness which makes it so hard to say goodbye. But then, why does Legacy take after the man who destroyed his entire family to begin with?
Another angle I sometimes see is that he is under Henry’s control, manipulated similarly to Dave; I don’t believe this. Henry, in dsaf 3’s good route, says that part of him was able to escape the void because it’d grown strong enough, which implies that this had to be slowly grown throughout his time in the void instead of suddenly achieved. The first we see of Legacy is near the end of dsaf 2, over thirty years before Henry made that statement. If Henry had managed to get into Jack’s head at all then, it was likely minimal, and not enough to persuade him into the evil Legacy displays.
The way I picture it; Jack hit rock bottom. His body is decomposing and hardly considered human, his life is dedicated to a promise to fix another’s evil, and even if he puts everyone back together: he’ll never get to pass and have a happiest day himself. Once you’ve hit rock bottom the only way is up, and an easy way out of the slump of his life - which ultimately has a purpose to anyone but himself - is Dave’s offer to kill with him. Initially it’s a distraction, a change, but eventually; it’s a way to regain anatomy over himself. Jack, towards the end of dsaf 2’s ending, realises the murders are a way to leave a legacy of his own, instead of abiding by the promise forced upon him. This is also why Dave is scared of him, becauce while Dave kills with the intent to shut down Freddy’s, Jack seemingly kills just because he can, because - to an extent - he wants to.
Since dsaf 2 has no canon ending, there’s still the possibility for Legacy to change between dsaf 2 & 3: I assume his reason to change back to the good route would be that he understands he can’t just live his immortal life killing kids until the end of time, similarly to how Davetrap realises this in the bad ending. Assuming he doesn’t divert from the Legacy route though: I imagine it was especially blissful at first, a newfound freedom to shape his own destiny and with it; his legacy. He's still capable of feeling regret, his choices don't erase that, but I imagine he pushes a lot of it away with the idea that what’s done is done. He can't change the past; he can't bring Dee back, and by the time he faces her in the flipside he's so desensitized from years of living with this mindset that he doesn't consider her death nor happiest day of as much worth as he used to anymore. We also see this in the way he uses it as an accusation towards Davetrap; “You two have killed everyone that I’ve ever cared about… My sister… My brother, Peter. Even myself- ” while simultaneously siding with Henry (albeit in a different form), who is at the root of all those aforementioned things. Despite what he makes Davetrap believe, he doesn’t care for those things, not anymore.
This is also why Henry holds a fondness towards Legacy: Jack understands the consequences of his actions and how they relate to him and his past, yet he kills without remorse, much like Henry in his research. Henry sticks with Jack because he sees him as an equal, rather than a lackey and test-subject the way he did with Dave; Jack didn't have to be manipulated or coddled to reach this point. On the topic of manipulation; I do think that Henry's presence (the way we see it in dsaf 3 evil route) has an influence on Jack, but it's more so encouragement than manipulation. Jack has nothing to lose, which is also what allows him to withstand Henry's attack in the good route, and therefore isn't as prone to Henry's manipulation. Jack also understands that Henry isn’t as powerful because of how he relies on possessing Jack for a vessel, outright stating: “Henry has been dealt with. He isn’t coming back.” If anything, Henry is a companion to validate him, a tool for Jack to further his Legacy; to leave a mark that displays his autonomy and directly oppose Fredbear. In a way, it’s a big ‘fuck you’ to God himself, similarly to how Legacy says “I am God” while fighting Fredbear in dsaf 2. Between this and Henry saying he will “abolish death” in the Joy_1 tape, they are essentially playing God; especially with Jack immortalised through flesh merged with steel.
Unfortunately, Legacy isn't a character I've done a lot with, but I think writing this all down has given me a more cohesive understanding of how I view him. This interpretation might change overtime, but until then I'm posting this for the people who're interested! If anyone has fanfiction/oneshot ideas with Legacy please I'm clawing and begging at your door to give me them PLEASE (said the guy who's currently writing character posts instead of actual fanfiction… lel)

The BG3 companions if they were in Middle-Earth:
@window-on-the-west highly valuing your input here!
EDIT: I FORGOT ASTARION how could I, my 2nd favorite romance and I completely forgot about him 😭: a Sindarin elf of Rivendell I think, fought in the Seige of Mordor during the Last Alliance of Elves and Men and was badly scarred, physically and emotionally, by the war. Was taken prisoner for some time, tortured and enslaved ;_;
Wyll: a ranger of Ithilien who's lowkey in love with Captain Faramir (bc who ISN'T). Cries his eyes out at Aragorn's coronation
Lae'zel: ALSO a ranger of Ithilien, but originally a foreigner, a woman of Harad or Rhun, who was part of a very tiny minority of ppl who were against allying w/ Sauron (recall Sam's/Faramir's musings over the young dead Southron man, if he believed in the cause of Sauron, or if he only wished to be home, and was threatened/forced to fight). She escaped and made it to Gondor. The type of ranger who's like we should do a suicide mission into Mordor and end this once and for all I'LL tear down the foundations of Barad Dûr MYSELF
Gale: the approach I think most ppl would take is to make him a figure like Feanor, super talented but arrogant, flying too close to the sun and pissing off the gods lol. However 1) Feanor was a dick, not at ALL charming like our Gale 2) I think he needs to stay human (as I think the fact that he wants to accomplish SO MUCH in his life but has less than a century to do so cannot be discounted when we speak of his ambition). In which case he'd be like a Renaissance man of Gondor, like Faramir. Deeply learned in Gondor's lore, but also highly skilled in battle. Also thinks the Ring "is a gift," BIGLY. YUUUGELY in favor of using it against Sauron, CONVINCED his good intentions and knowledge of lore would allow him to master it for good (but also to grow his own power)
Shadowheart: a bit tricky since we don't have an abundance of cults kidnapping people, but what if she was a Dunedain girl, kidnapped at a young age by agents of The Enemy, and then sent back years later as a spy for Sauron
Karlach: another tricky one. Perhaps if she was a woman of Rohan, captured and badly wounded in an orc raid. Arwen's mother was so physically and emotionally scarred after she survived an orc attack that she left for Valinor; it's clearly a traumatic experience, so what about someone who couldn't run away to Valinor? Who has to live with what was taken from her in this attack, and then learn Wormtongue, one of her own people and the king's own advisor, whom they all trusted, was a spy for Saruman? And then learn that Saruman, who was supposed to be their friend and protector, sold them out to Saruon. Nobody gets betrayed like Rohan in LOTR so that's my argument for placing her there.
Minthara: one of the Noldor elves in the First Age who was captured by Melkor but survived and escaped Thangorodrim. I recall that these elves' old communities didn't always treat them well, finding them too traumatized and changed to accept them again :(. Fits w/ the taken hold of an evil cult and then made an exile. She'd start her OWN resistance against Melkor, with blackjack, and hookers!
Halsin: one of the Beornings. OBVIOUSLY. For those who don't know, in the Hobbit, Beorn, after whom the Beornings are named, is a giant mountain man who can shapechange INTO A BEAR. He lives with highly intelligent animals, can speak to beasts, has a giant garden with giant flowers and giant bees, and lives off honey cakes and cream. He also HATES goblins (ie orcs) and only offers his help to Bilbo & Co because they have fought and killed a whole bunch of goblins (also he knows who Gandalf is ffs don't trust his shitty adaptation in the movie 🙄 that scene is so much funnier and better done in the book)
Jaheira: a Silvan elf of Thranduil's realm. veteran fighter against orcs. Totally wanted in on the council of Elrond but she pissed off Thranduil with her lecturing about how did you let Gollum get loose lol
Minsc: also a Boerning. I know he's not a shapechanger but his animal companion, ability to speak to beasts, and the fact that he is GIANTIC and all muscle, pls, he fits right in with the mountain men. He'd also love living on honey cakes and cream, as would Boo lol. Being a Rider of Rohan also works for him imo - altho he looks way to big to fit on a horse lol, their culture surrounding war and martial prowess has parallels w/ Rasheman
The Emperor: a ringwraith 😂 THEE fucking ringwraith in fact, The Witch King of Angmar himself. No man can slay me 💅🏼 Thanks to @oryndoll for this one lol
