is the ask game still on? if yes, au where time moves differently between demon world and earth, so sullivan adopts iruma way earlier and iruma is classmates with teen kalego & balam and kinda-siblings with opera?

Every day I wonder what Opera and Sullivan's deal is. Is getting adopted by a cat the normal way to hire a security demon?!?!

1- so Sullivan adopts Iruma, and declares him his grandson. He is side eyeing Opera the entire time he says this, because he's still mad they wouldn't let him adopt them as a grandchild as well, instead asking to be trained as his security demon. Which is very nice! But Sullivan wants a grandbaby! Opera is delighted to get to practice protecting TWO of them, and in showing Iruma the demon ropes as it were.

2- Sullivan tells Uncle Naberius the day of the first day of school that his grandson is enrolling! The uncle is like "cool" and doesn't warn his nephew. Kalego takes offense to Iruma giving the opening speech just for nepotism, especially since Balam actually earned top spot. (Balam says he didn't want the speech, shy thing he is, but Kalego doesn't listen. Iruma also apologizes because he didn't want to be singled out, Kalego doesn't listen, by Balam knows he's telling the truth.)

3- Kalego tells Iruma that just because he's the chairdemon's grandkid doesn't mean he's going to give him any preference, Kalego is going to be the guard dog of the whole of the school. Iruma is happy to hear it. Then he has to try to summon a familiar, and uh welp his classmate was the one standing closest to him when he did so.... Whatever goodwill he was about to get from Kalego is gone.

4- Uncle Naberius figures out the first week that Iruma is a human, because there's just no other explanation for Sullivan to pull a grandson capable of summoning a demon as a familiar out of nowhere. He doesn't do anything about it, because while other Naberius relatives are devoted fanatics to the idea of an ancient demon school, Uncle is practical and loyal to the actual school as it exists- that means the chairdemon and all the students, who are all teenagers, and if one happens to be human, well, whatever. He does casually make sure that Narnia and the rest of the clan don't hear about it though, by making sure Kalego is too embarrassed to tell anyone anything about the Iruma kid.

5- unfortunately for Iruma, who is very happy to have the friendship of Balam, Opera, Ali-san, and Kalego... He's also caught the attention of sixth year senior, student council president, and favorite of several 13 crowns: Baal.

Oh this one is hard for me. I love this manga. But if I had to give a hot take.

I think the multiple Evidol arcs have gotten repetitive and should stop happening now.

i really know want to know balam's and kalego's reactions were to seeing evil cycle iruma at the evidol games. for balam, that would be the first time seeing that side of iruma so i know he'd be so confused and kalego just extremely exasperated because ughhh that Iruma is what earned the royal classroom. but i imagine balam at least (maybe kalego too) would go full dad mode about Iruma freezing in the outfit and getting over protective about the blatant flirting of the camera man. kalego would definitively be critiquing the musical performance for what it is and iruma's keyboard skills, how they've improved and how it still sounds like an amateur is playing

opera and sullivan would simply be cheering iruma on completely, sullivan probably crying and opera's ears twitching at how well he's doing

azz and clara are simply blushing the entire time they are watching LOL. they are iruma's biggest supporters and love him so much. They were already flustered seeing irumeanie before, seeing them in a DRESS and being super bold would heighten their flustered-ness. probably SO jealous they weren't there to see iruma in action. (also never forget azz said iruma is very cute in a dress, so a very hot dress like that would cause him to combust on fire)

anyway, i wished we got to see their reactions more to that because while WE the audience were shaking from irumeanie-chan, i would have loved to see their shock as well

I just binged all of M!ik, and i just have to say how much I love how diverse the gender expression is among its characters!!

Like the obvious one is Opera, who’s canonically Non-Binary and uses they/them pronouns (at least in the English translation, since Japanese doesn’t really use gendered pronouns the same way), and who presents with a mix of feminine and masculine attributes, without it ever being seen as something strange by the other characters. Like, everyone just accepts that Opera is neither a man or woman. They’re just Opera.

But even outside of everyone’s favorite cat-demon, theres so many other gender nonconforming characters, including the main character!! Like I know that him dressing up in frilly dresses is played for a joke at one point, but for the most part, it’s not something he’s ashamed of. He’s a bit embarrassed to go on national tv dressed as an idol, but he also has a lot of fun doing it, even leaning more into it during the concert portion of the Evidol Games.

I also have a special place in my heart for the gnc men in the series, because I feel like that’s not something you really see all that often, except for with the generic pretty boy trope. But in M!ik we have Balam, who is undeniably a very masculine figure, but he has a lot of equally undeniably feminine traits. He’s very gentle and physically affectionate, and has a great love for small creatures and likes to make cute picture books. And on the Physical side of things, he has long hair that he wears down a lot that he carefully takes care to maintain (at least after he grows it out again).

And there’s a lot more than that, even just in the background characters that appear, but these three are the ones that came to mind first.

Love problems

Everyone loved Iruma. It was just a fact. An unwavering truth. The real question, however, was this... who did Iruma love?

There was no lack of romantic partners. It seems like everyone was ready to offer themselves to the blue-haired boy. Only one small problem. It seemed like Iruma wasn't interested in anyone.

But how could that be? Even with all the attempts to woo him, nothing worked. He was unaware of such affections directed towards him.

Kamui tried endless flattery and flowers when the boy was dressed as pretty Irumi. Supposedly, trying to appeal to the teenagers' feminine side.

Sabro attempts with shows of strength. Indicating he can protect his rival if needed. Well... not that the boy needed protection, seeing how he had the most powerful demons at his beck and call.

Allocer was less extreme. He tutored Iruma and helped him with homework. Small gifts of books on subjects he was most interested in.

Elizabetta she gave soft touches and spoke sweet words. Flirting with the oblivious Iruma. He just didn't seem to think much of it other than friendly behavior.

Soi played soft music. Loving melodies filling the air as he played with Iruma. Only getting innocent carefree smiles in return.

Kerori would often sing love ballads when performing with Irumi on stage. Trying to get the evidol to blush. But Iruma just thinks it's part of her act and sings along unaware.

Picero was rather generous. Giving up his soft cloud so Iruma could rest on it. Sleepy cuddles and warm blankets. He didn't do that with everyone you know.

Goemon, well, of course, it would be endless pampering. Unwavering support. Piles of food. Really, what did you expect from such a cheerful demon?

Lied always letting Iruma go first for games. Sharing his snacks. Wrapping his tail around the other boy constantly.

Jazz would often give knickknacks and random sweets. Shiny objects he's swiped from others. Really, his sticky fingers often found little gifts for those big innocent eyes.

Alice has probably made his feelings well known from the start. With his firey passion and clingy attitude towards Iruma shining like a well lite neon sign.

Clara was the same with her endless offerings. The toys, the games. Making sure to pick each one with Iruma in mind. Lovingly monopolizing him together with Alice.

So... why didn't Iruma realize this? He couldn't be that blind right? Well, to put it simply... Iruma loved all of them.

But he just didn't love them in the physical way they were expecting. Nor in the romantic sense. Iruma's love was just ure love.

No expectations or want of more. No demands of physical needs being met. He was just happy with how things were. Happily accepting and giving love in his own way.

Shax Lied Headcanons

Shax uses he/she/they and does not update people on how he wants to be referred to as. Sometimes they’ll show up wearing the girl uniform top and boys pants. Sometimes he wears skirts and a boy's uniform top. Literally nobody knows what she’s going to wear next. It’s become a guessing game in the class.

Sometimes lied just gets unreasonably overstimulated at home. His sister is the same way. They just lay there and sign to one another instead of speaking.

Sometimes he just shows up at Jazz’s house and gets him or rock to open the door. Jazz has learnt to just… not question it. If they don’t open the door, Lied will find another way in.

Her sister is like, never home because she works. 

Lied does not have parents!! Both of them passed away in an accident, so they only have their older sister now.

Honestly depending on how you read the Akudol Arc you could claim he’s transfem or transmasc. I alternate depending on the fic!
