For Ryunosuke, the voyage back to Japan was nearly as busy as the journey to Britain, though it held the peace of new purpose. Sorrow was replaced by the sweet pain of parting, and instead of frantically learning British law, he was now coached by Susato in Japanese law and procedure. Many hours were spent discussing how to get Ryunosuke certified and how they would run their new law office, often drifting into amusing stories from the six months they were apart. When Ryunosuke realized he would have to take the bar exam, he almost gave up on law there and then. Susato assured him she would help him study, but he protested that this was not reassuring at all—he remembered Kazuma’s stress and grueling study plan and now he knew just who devised that plan.

Like before, they met in his cabin to study. Susato turned down repeated offers from him and her father to give her one of their first class cabins, insisting she had no need of all that space except when they worked together.

Another change to their previous routine was the addition of Professor Mikotoba, who sometimes stopped by and offered his input. Ryunosuke expected to see less of Susato when she had her father to visit with as well, but it hadn’t yet been the case.

One morning they had only just poured their tea when Mikotoba popped in and Ryunosuke invited him to join them.

Susato stood. “Ah! I almost forgot! My friend in the cabin next to mine needed help with her baby today. My apologies, Naruhodo-san. Father, take my cup, I haven’t touched it.”

“Oh! Well, all right,” Mikotoba said, taken aback as Susato hurried past him out the door. He hesitantly took her chair and fingered the cup of tea. “Sorry for disrupting your work, Naruhodo. I didn’t intend to chase her away.”

i cannot stop thinking about the logistics of the scarytown in from. sara's brother was tending to ALL of the animals? by himself? is he also growing the wheat they need to make flour and all the crops they need to eat? they have a restaurant, but what about general store? do they all just eat all their meals in the diner prepared by kenny's mom? is kenny's mom cooking for EVERYONE? how many people are actually in town/colony house? who is rationing the food they're able to grow? seems like donna is in charge of rationing at colony house, but who is doing that in town? boyd? why don't we ever SEE that? i assume the running water and electricity just work, but the food thing is crazy. they're making their own potato vodka, so it's not like processed foods are just appearing in the way the animals are. they don't seem to have anyone on food preparation duty. why isn't anyone on food preparation duty?

pata hai last kuch din i was very busy with my project kyunki final dena tha and binding karni thi etc to wo karwayi then i went to the bookfair bekaar tha then parso submit karne jaa rahi to subah accident hogaya (bhai ki bike skid hogayi and we fell down) and now i have a big ass blue bruise on my upper thigh and my parents don't even know lmao and kal ek science conference thi to i had to sit in an auditorium for 6 hours listening to accomplished people speak. that's what you missed now your turn

social anxiety is interesting because for a while now I've been on the fence about posting even just mildly svggestive things in the tags, (even if that means just leaving tags on my own posts) solely because I know I have a follower that is extremely against it and sometimes vagueblogging about it is involved and sure enough, happened this time as well

and even though that's a them problem and not mine, why do I feel extremely guilty and anxious about it? it's like my extremely prudish family all over again, this time online, which was the only place where I could be a bit free in that regard

What are some ships or concepts you wished more people in the Inscryption fandom would explore?

I'm honestly not a big ship guy unless it's either really compelling or really funny. But as for concepts, I really wish people would just get a little weirder with stuff. I know that's a vast generalization—Inscryption as a game is already weird as hell by merit of existing—but I want to see more headcanons/writing quirks that are like "Leshy has parts of every animal, not just cervids—so he has leg spurs like a cricket and gets pin feathers in his fur like a bird" or "Video game logic applies ever so slightly in that characters can learn to reach into the code and pull out the assets allotted to them from hammerspace" or just... whatever the hell is going on with Magnificus in general. I love it when the universe the characters are in is already So Damn Weird that anything goes/the quirks of the world itself impacts those living in it and they hardly even notice because that's just Everyday Life.

Also just generally blue and orange morality stuff. Too much "the Scrybes are evil in a way that can be easily understood" and not enough "the Scrybes aren't evil in a clear-cut way but obviously SOMETHING is wrong here in a way that is So Much Worse than I originally preconceived." Fun stuff
