in err 1991 i believe when julian was 13 he got sent to that one swiss boarding school to curb his alcoholism (did not work clearly) and a while later 11 year-old albert also arrived. julian stayed for two years and albert stayed for six months. julian had this to say about their meeting SNIFFLES. theyre never beating the soulmate allegations i fear

How did you become friends at first? Julian: Two of us arrived in a private school in Switzerland. I felt I had nothing in common with the others. They were so different from people I knew in New York, they were obsessed by clothes Haut Couture. I missed New York so much, it’s really a part of my soul. Meeting Albert was a relief. I met Julian first, then Nikolai, got really drunk one night, and then I went to go try out, even though Julian told me later that in his mind I was already in the band. How come? I was an okay player, I could play chords and stuff, but I looked awesome. (Laughs) I just looked like there was only one thing I could do: be in a band.

albert and julian lived together for seven years from 1998 to 2005 when julian got married, they had two apartments together and the first one is the most well known, it's the dumbbell shaped one. idk about the layout of the second unforch

speaking of which. i've posted this before but SIGHHHH (the talk 2013) that song is for his fucking then-gf justyna. (well, most likely. i dont think hes ever outright stated who he wrote it for but the mv is pretty domestic (for the most part......) and theres a bit where theyre kinda dancing in the living room which is one of the things albert told an interviewer he and justyna did a lot → vice june 2015 but of course i suppose you never know)

Kind of like The Strokes’ song “You Only Live Once”… Julian wrote that. I’m in the band, but I still take his lyrics like a fan would. You always relate lyrics to yourself, and I even do that with him even though he is one of my friends and we lived together when he was writing it. God knows what they were truly about. But it came full circle when he was over listening to “St. Justice” from my new solo EP. It was really cute, he was like, “Is this lyric about me?” And I was like, “…no, man.” It really wasn’t, but it was a good circle because I’ve felt that way about so many of his lyrics. When we got in the band, Julian had such a vision, he was just a strong writer, so the first three records are all his.

the hartley high kids were stuck in a sort of limbo - since the school had burn down not even two weeks before the term break, the school board had decided everybody deserved an extended break to help 'unpack their trauma'. almost everyone thought it was a load of bullshit but couldn't fight having almost a month off school.

harper had been struggling, although she'd never admit it to anyone. it was unfair - every time she almost healed from one experience, a brand new one happened. darren had recently been going through a housewife phase, and in one cooking attempt, they'd accidentally set off the fire alarm. it caused the blonde to shut down for almost 24 hours, the experience of being locked in a smoke-filled projection room taking over her thoughts.

ant had accidentally been a lurker for quite a few of these mini events - like witnessing chook stare down harper at the housewarming party. when woodsy had called for harper and amerie during the fire, his whole body had been filled with a sense of dread (although he'd never tell harper how he'd fought to try and get to her).

the two decided to keep everything between them as light as possible, which had led to today's activity being set up.

harper dashed out of her shared home with darren and ca$h (their fake moans and tips for safe sex following her) and started up her borrowed car from robert.

when she drove up to ants place, he was sat outside, waiting already. harper couldn't fight the grin that stretched across her face as he wandered over to the passenger side. anthony had taken the concept of axe throwing and lumberjacks very seriously, and had dressed for the part - a plaid button up tossed, un-buttoned, over a cropped white tank top and a pair of baggy jeans.

he got in and immediately leant forward to kiss the blonde, and she pulled away with a smirk. "what's with the gay lumberjack cosplay?"

"i'm breaking lumberjack stereotypes, harps. be happy for me." but he glanced at her with a lazy grin and she shook her head, trying not to get distracted.

as they drove, ant insisted on being on aux. this meant that when spider called him, the audio was put on speaker.

"heya, spider."

"ant, you'll never-"

"hey spider!" harper piped up chirpily, and spiders whole demeanour over the phone changed.

"fuck off, harper."

"wait until i tell missy what you just said, dickhead. don't think i won't steal your girl." harper grinned as she said it, and ant turned to her quickly.

"hey!"

"you wish, harps."

"i actually don't think we need to throw axes," ant stood stiffly, his gloves shoved in his pocket and axe in one hand.

harper, who was in the middle of putting her safety glasses on, paused and stared. "what?"

"i just like- don't feel like losing an arm today. ya' know?" he looked at her hopefully, and harper raised a brow.

"don't worry, baby. i'll protect you."

the nickname flicked a switch in his mind, and immediately, ant was back to his usual antics. "no need, m'lady. i will be protecting you."

glasses on, harper turned to stick her tongue out at him - only to be met with the flash of a camera. "ew, ant. i look proper munted with these on. delete that."

he didn't respond, and to be fair, she didn't really care all that much anyways. the two walked forward with their safety gear fully on, prepared to let out some of their anger.

at first, they mess around a bit, until harper finally gets her axe to actually hit the target. from then on, it's a full-on war - they're making up mini competitions, tallying points, and getting into arguments.

halfway through, harper's got 12,368 points while ant has -12.

"we should totally turn our competition into a drinking game, harps. it would be so fun."

"and dangerous." harper braces herself and launches her axe at the target. "ant, we suck balls right now - imagine what it'd be like if everyone was drunk?"

"oh. ohhhhhhhh! yeah, i didn't even think of that."

"of course you didn't, babe."

ant grabs harper and yanks her closer to him, hugging her. some employee chides them for being dangerous.

"you're so pretty, harper." he's looking down at her, grinning, harpers cheeks are pink.

"you're not so bad yourself, anthony." her hand wraps around the back of his neck and pulls him closer.

"it was totally worth it." ant's still dazed, and he fumbles plugging his phone in.

it goes silent except for the frank ocean playing in the background, until ants phone buzzes with a notification. on instinct, harper's eyes flick to the screen - and her heart jolts.

his lock screen is a recent picture - one of harper, eyebrows furrowed and nose scrunched. her tongues poking out and her hairs a little wild, but she looks happy.

"ant! is that the picture you just took of me?"

"of course it is. can't get it out of my head, it's seriously driving me crazy." he looks down at the picture, a slight blush on his face.

"you just wait until i get a new picture of you, vaughn."

Dumping all my thoughts under the cut cause this might get long! Sorry if the writings feel scattered.

Her name is Wraith, a Decepticon with a motorcycle as an alt mode. She favours stealth above all, so she prefers to fight with swords rather than blasters.

I havent finished all the IDW comics so I can confidently only speak on her Prime lore -- She's on board the Nemesis practically from day one. Wraith gets pushed around a lot (mostly by Starscream) because she hates practically every word that comes out of his mouth. She's very much like a stubborn teenager so anyone trying to command authority over her just gets on her bad side. Despite Megatron, who has managed to earn her respect (also cause yk. hes scary)

Other bits of lore include

shes besties with Knockout and Breakdown, mainly beacuse they're also land vehicles like her (shes incredibly emotionally avoidant so even this bit of friendship is an achivement).

She's close to Soundwave mostly by proxy of my other oc Pulseblade fussing over her like a mother (I ship Pulse and SW so thats how he ends up being tied to Wraith)

Airachnid freaks her the fuck out. I think TFP Starscream is very "bark and no bite", whereas Airachnid really isnt that, so where threats from Screamer dont really do anything to Wraith, when they come from Airachnid she's more likely to take them seriously.

Wraith has a bad history with being abused and mistreated from the war back on Cybertron, which has caused all kinds of problems w emotional attachments (and behavioural issues)

Starscream ends up killing her at some point in the series. He makes it seem like an accident and blames it on the Autobots. Pulseblade takes it the worst out of everyone, even if she's comforted by Knockout on the matter (this is sometime after Breakdown is also killed). I think this will lead Pulseblade to defect, essentially giving up on the war. In my head she somehow finds out Wraith was assassinated by Starscream (maybe by Rachet, since they used to be coworkers at some point so she'd be more inclined to believe him) which will then lead her to become an Autobot.

Because Wraith dies in Prime she'd also not show up in RiD, although Pulse does make a return. I think it'd be fun for Wraith to haunt the narative in some way. Wraith is also dead in Earthspark, and Shattered Glass. ES Megatron and Bee remember her fondly so maybe her memory gets to inspire the Terrans or something.

I REALLY LOVE THE TERRANS every bit of me wants Wraith to be around for Earthspark for the character interactions but ooouhghghh omg i love angst :(( idunnoo

At first it was a joke, but he’s physically loosing himself to the power and want to harm, and hes. Used to be friends with Hylia??? And now. hes loosing his mind and can no longer control himself!!! And Hylia, trying her best, is also not strong enough to fend off his hate and want fir such evil desires, and shes loosing. yknow?

She raises the remaining people to the skyloft shit, and like. save yourselves!!!! And now too weak from protecting them- She uses the last strength, stabs demise in the heart, and like. Seals him away. And as her last moments are coming, she also, slips into a seal of her own. Staying hidden until she can tell demise is getting close to getting out. Soooo she reincarnates herself to zel, like. Maybe that child will be able to fend off demise when he comes back!!! and like, preparing to help and try to keep the world and people she loves alive!

But.

Then theres fierce. And he was left behind and hes like. oh god oh fuck. cuz like, his sisters dead, the person he friended first is insane and going to come back and he himself. is getting. angry. 

Using part of his soul, he creates. The heros spirit, and, Link. Like. He was not risking shit. He was making sure, using his own powers and shit- That Demise was never going to be able to win ever again. 

Then. Like, the reincarnation cycle was started, and Fierce slipped in his own magic when he found it, making sure Link would always be strong enough and always be better. 

Like. say, the gameovers? And shit? That comes from playing loz what if like. he made that real? He made it that time would rewind and keep Link alive. Like in no fucking way would Link fail unless the timeline demanded of it.

So, when Hylia (after Sun? passed) came back to the heavens and shit to continue being a god. She found. Her brother. Loosing his mind to hate and anger. Like his thoughts about Demise were shitty, and he would sometimes reflect it on accident to others. 

So maybe, around, Four’s adventure. Hylia was trying to ignore it. But her brither was. Loosing himself even more. His fighting style is so violent and hateful, and like. hes iverly protective of her and just constantly loosing himself. to the point that. he just. broke. into further madness towards humanity towards monsters…. And Hylia was like, shit- whats happening to you? Whats happening to my brother? Fierce???? And. Literally. She was trying to get him through it, and help him.

Yet! In a sudden moment of awareness, he realized how insane he was sounding, and found a mask. To. Seal himself in. Isolating and definetly fucking him up more as he was just boiling and isolated with his kwn rage. And for. Like. The mask and himself, only started calming down at Wilds world(before calamity) Like, he started become more passive and calm, and just gain some sense of control, enough that he allowed himself to be unsealed by Hylia, and finally be free and just. Allow her to help.

Also like. He now. Watches over, and helps? With? The hero spirit and just watches over during wild’s adventure and like. Lends his strength in the mask, but aince he isnt there. It helps with strength. But it doesnt hold him anymore so he doesnt just take control of persons mind like what happened w Time

and then with lu- like- Theres 2 presences of fierce? Its his hateful and crazy self, and more relaxed and reformed version with Wild and like. GUAH. FUNKY BRAIN????

i keep thinking abt the like. pacing of the previous fight scenes being reused in ep9 in such a smart way…………like with smith/lulu v superbia - isami/bravern v cupiridas AND with smith/lulu v knuth - isami/bravern v pessimism/vanitas they kept doing the quick jumps between each of the two fights in a way that made it clear that isami and smith were in conversation even if they were doing completely different shit, and then bringing that completely to the forefront this ep while isami is asking smith why he died and at the same time smith is refusing to die bc of his promise with isami. honestly, imo, the BSD fandom needs more dark content. Like, the premise itself is basically a seinen, and all the characters (with the exception of about 2-3 characters) are all extremely mentally ill or really messed up in the head. The fandom always waters down the characters into either "uwu shy soft boy who can't do anything by themselves", or "sad boi who had sad past :(", and it's kind of a. what. moment. I mean, I understand the appeal, but maybe it's because I like reading fics (and writing for that matter) where the character is as close as it can be to the cannonical character, so usually its kinda a pet peeve of mine esp in the bsd community when everyone hates that kind of content. cause like. the characters themselves are dark. they're not light-hearted characters, they're fucked up for a reason.

so tldr; thank you for giving us the dark content that was very lacking

(nightow anon) i do agree w you tho! the changes to Rems design (and some of the aesthetics) feels kinda... off putting. the western aesthetic and everyone wearing more "down to earth" clothing felt more organic and right. Most bg characters still... kinda have this, but for the main cast its been mostly abandoned and that kinda sucks.

i want to put faith in stamp season 2 to fix some of the pacing issues they made and explain choices and changes, considering the stamp creators mentioned specifically having someone do a deep dive on the lore and timeline of the series specifically so they /dont/ fuck the story up too much with their retelling.

i just hope with the popularity of stamp that we get a rerelease of the english manga. we are all starving
