my mum keeps responding to my covid precautions with “i get it, you’re not ready yet”. like no i just don’t do them anymore. i don’t really need to eat at restaurants or go to crowded places or be in public without an n95. i can watch the movie at home. i can get take out. an n95 is just uncomfortable sometimes but doesn’t stop me from doing anything. i love not getting sick

#SOOOOOO glad i moved out #‘your sibling and i are going out to eat’ have fun! i actually have no desire to do that whatsoever #also both of them have brought covid home and I’ve clocked it every time #my mum’s was after a trip after i moved out where she didn’t wear a mask once (not even at the airport) and then spent the trip texting me #about how the rich food was giving her some stomach trouble and the jet lag was just hitting her so hard #clocked that asap. i think she gave it to everyone else too and then tested after someone else tested positive and got her positive #my sibling was when i was still at home though and they just came downstairs and sat next to me coughing and i have never moved so fast #consistently tested negative so I don’t think they gave it to me but they protested possibly having it until I made my mum test them #and lo and behold I was right! I got pcr tested by urgent care and was negative #i didn’t get the chance to be cautious from the beginning because I was a minor when covid started #but i’m now an adult and moved out and keep all my precautions and tbh I love it #i’m a college student and the only sickness I’ve ever dealt with was an ear infection from a piercing. that’s it #‘don’t you want to embrace your young adult years’ i have two cats and hobbies and love being at home im fine #I don’t want to party or go out or do much of that #coronavirus

Izutsumi character study

#dungeon meshi #izutsumi #One of my goals for this year was to spend more time doing art studies.#What better way to start than with my favourite danmeshi character (not seen: a whole page of figuring out her features)#I feel like she is by far one of the most poorly understood characters in the series. Partially due to her 'late party member' status.#'She's abrasive and mean' - 'she's a picky eater' - 'she's a catgirl who acts like an asshole cat ' YES and that is the point!#Everyone in dungeon meshi is traumatized and messy about it but izutsumi is just less polite in how she tries to cope.#Izutsumi is a extremely traumatized teenager who has utterly lacked autonomy her entire life.#She is the epitome of a “If I can just have X thing then all my problems will be solved!” character. And the X is 'Freedom'.#Her epilogue was one of the best and wrapped up her character so wonderfully (WARNING: I WILL NOW SPOIL PART OF THE ENDING)#Because she finally gets her freedom! She can go where she wants to and she doesn't need anybody! Yet...it doesn't fix her.#She is so focused on doing only what she wants that she forgets her own needs. Sometimes you have to eat the things you don't want.#And sometimes you have to face the hard truths that you need more than just one thing to make you happy.#Life is not all about only seeking pleasures and avoiding pain. You need to be balanced in order to grow.#Eat your vegetables (including the metaphorical ones: I am eating more art veggies this year by doing art studies!!!)

Scaleswind being tucked strategically and safely in the cradle of a mountain crater, allowing for innovative ways to get out and about the mountains. Scaleswind inspiring bright and brilliant minds.

I also just like Nicole's whole disguise. In s1, she says that her look isn't what she actually looks like and that she's hiding from her father. But sometimes the best disguises are the ones that aren't far from the truth.

Plenty of people know about Scaleswind and try and get into their academies. She just looks like your average rumpled "college" student trying to make it in the world.

Not to be a downer, but the spin-off era has been so weird.

I waited since season 1 of twd to know where these helicopters were coming from, and then they make TOWL "an epic love story". .. why? Nothing against rick and michonne being in love, but.. I didn't need that. It just seems like such a weird decision.

And then dead city.. idk, again, just.. why? I'm so through watching maggie be miserable bc negan is in her breathing space. It's actually boring. Slow-burn will-they-won't-they, but it's about whether she'll forgive a man for gleefully murdering her husband with a baseball bat? Ok. I'm just not invested, sorry, lol.

And then they turn the Carol and Daryl spin-off into.. solo superhero man dresses like a European apocalypse model and everyone loves him.

What is going on.
