Hello Everyone! Here is the third and final part of ‘ Behind The Iron Claw: The Von Erich Story ’. If you haven’t read Parts one and two , please go check them out ! I also want to say thank you for taking the time to read this series and my other articles I have here on my blog! In this article , I’ll be discussing the third generation of Von Erichs in professional wrestling.

Lacey Dawn Adkisson ( Lacey Von Erich ) was born July 17, 1986. Lacey is Kerry Von Erich’s daughter and Fritz Von Erich’s granddaughter. Lacey stepped foot in the squared circle in 2007 with WWE as a developmental talent for Florida Championship Wrestling ( FCW ) . She was also the first member of the third generation of the Von Erich family to do so. Lacey would make her debut as a valet for Billy Kidman on September 15,2007. She would also be a valet for Ryan O’Reilly ( Konner ) alongside two time WWE Divas Champion, Maryse. In October, she would make her in ring debut against another third generation wrestler , Natalya Neidhart, the daughter of Jim ‘ The Anvil Neidhart ’, granddaughter of Stu Hart, and niece of Bret ‘ The Hitman ’ Hart and Owen Hart. She would also manage Alicia Fox and team with Natalya and Maryse in a match against Fox and Brie and Nikki Bella ( The Bella Twins ). She would be released from her contract after asking to go to OVW. She would spend time on the independent scene and become the Windy City Pro Wrestling Ladies’ Champion in 2009. She won the championship in a Fatal 4 Way match which was her debut for the promotion. Thus, she vacated the championship after being signed to TNA. She would also have a run in Wrestlicious , a women’s wrestling promotion started by Jimmy Hart. Von Erich would make her TNA debut on October 1,2009 as Heel and becoming a member of The Beautiful People ( Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky). She is a one time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion along with Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne .

Kevin Marshall Adkisson and David Michael Ross Adkisson ( Marshall and Ross Von Erich ) are the sons of Kevin Von Erich and grandsons of Fritz Von Erich. Marshall was born on November 10,1992 and Ross was born on June 1, 1988. Lacey Von Erich is their cousin. Marshall and Ross made their profession wrestling debut in 2012 at World League Wrestling, losing in a tag team match against Jason Jones and Brian Breaker. They would also debut for a Japanese promotion called Pro Wrestling NOAH the same year . The brothers would make their wrestling TV debut in 2014 at TNA’s Slammiversary Pay Per View. Kevin would be managing his sons. They would make appearances in TNA from 2014 and 2015 . They would also compete in Action Zone Wrestling , a promotion in Hawaii where they lived. They would win the tag team championships. In the Summer of 2017, they would wrestle alongside Kevin at Rage Megashow in Israel. Therefore , in 2019, Marshall and Ross would find their way to Major League Wrestling ( MLW ). They would become MLW Tag Team Champions after defeating MJF and Richard Holliday ( The Dynasty ) . In 2022, they would face The Briscoes ( Mark and Jay ) at the show for Ric Flair’s Last Match. In 2023, the Von Erichs would appear in AEW and ROH. In 2024, they would team with Dustin Rhodes , the son of the ‘ American Dream ’ Dusty Rhodes , to win the Ring Of Honor World 6-Man Tag Team Championships at AEW Battle Of The Belts XI (11). ( I did do an article on that match and my reaction to it ! ). Marshall and Ross are also the hosts of The Von Erich podcast. They would interview guests such as ‘ The Perfect 10 ’ Baby Doll, and their mother , Pam.

Lacey’s sister , Hollie alongside Marshall and Ross’ sister , Kristen , also have a podcast. It’s called Growing Up Von Erich. They feature guests such as Natalya Neidhart and family members such as Cathy , Hollie and Lacey’s mother.

My Final Thoughts:

I have so much respect for the Von Erich family. I wrote this series to hopefully help all of you , my amazing readers, to understand who they are and how they impacted wrestling through tragedy and triumph. I enjoy both podcasts and enjoy watching Marshall and Ross when they appear on AEW TV. Lacey was also my favorite member of The Beautiful People . This has to be my favorite series I’ve done here on my blog. Trust me, it took hours of research to put the series together.

Hi! It is, thank you. I'm very excited about it :D

I do have some autumnal recommendations.

The Earl Takes All by Lorraine Heath. Historical. This book does take place in autumn and winter, I think—and I'm pretty sure my feeling there is right because the stepback is soooo autumnal. I also think it has this historical vibe that really gives "grab some some coffee and a sweater and watch the leaves fall". Not all historicals have this, but to me these very dramatic, emotional, insular ones (Lorraine's specialty) absolutely GIVE it. Waking Up with the Duke also gives me this vibe—I want to say that the later chunk of the book does take place over winter, which would logically mean the earlier chunk takes place over fall.

You, Again by Kate Goldbeck. Contemporary. This is gender-flipped When Harry Met Sally, essentially (they meet each other, it's dislike at first sight, she's wild and he's uptight; they meet a few more times, then finally again when she's going through a divorce and they become best friends, but there's obviously more) and WHMS is one of the most autumnal movies OF ALL TIME. I mean. Google that cover. Look at that cover.

The Ex Hex and The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling. Paranormal. These are very LIGHTLY paranormal. Basically, they're set in this very fun, spooky little town where witches live right underneath everyone's nose. They're romantic, they're whimsical, they're sexy. Very "Halloween Eve". Plus, The Wedding Witch, the last(?) book in the series is coming out soon! That adds in a bit of time travel and light Christmas, too.

Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert. Paranormal. Another light Halloween Eve paranormal. The heroine comes from a long line of werewolf hunters, but her family doesn't want her to do it... However, she decides to jump on the opportunity when she meets a werewolf in the wild. The problem? He's actually very sweet, and he DOES recognize her as his mate lol.

Aurelia by S.M. LaViolette. Historical. This one has a very Gothic vibe, which to me is very autumnal. It's set on this remote island, where the heroine goes to paint these specimens the hero, a naturalist, has collected. He has this big estate, he's scarred, he's actually quite flirty lol. You get a sort of eerie sensibility, but it's not overwhelming—kinda on the Bronte side of things.

It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas. Historical. BUT OF COURSE! Obviously, one must read IHOA during autumn.

The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt. Historical. Another one that's very Gothic and therefore very autumnal to me, the classic "Jane Eyre vibes but make it super sexy and way less children-adjacent" setup.

Bride by Ali Hazelwood. Paranormal. This is perfect for those dipping their toes into the water for paranormal; the light, but sexy "vampire and werewolf arranged marriage" book. Totally gives me fall vibes.

Kingdom of the Wicked Trilogy Kerri Maniscalco. Paranormal/fantasy. The spookiest series in the best possible way! Witches, devils, werewolves, ALLLL of it, and with a historical vibe (set in 1800s Italy, I think Sicily specifically). Advertised as YA, but it's really not. The first book doesn't have sex, but the trilogy is sequential and uhhhh the next two books are................. very hot.

The Darkest London Series by Kristen Callihan. Historical paranormal. This Victorian series has everything you want—heat, supernatural creatures, running around in big skirts. I would definitely recommend reading these in order though they're each about different couples, but they're all good so it's fine. Not all set in autumn (lol one is called Winterblaze ffs) but they all give you that SENSE.

The Thornchapel Series by Sierra Simon. Contemporary but with magic. Again, very Gothic, very literally so. Spooky as fuck. Rituals, blood oaths, curses, all the like. Verrrrry sexy. The books actually progress with the seasons—each one has a feast/holiday.ritual corresponding to the season. But you get ALL the vibes.

Beside her depression episodes, Nori sometimes had days on which she felt paranoid and off. This was one of these days.

She ordered something for Jackie and went together with a delamain into the city to get it. As she sat it on the table in front of him, she suddenly felt very unsure and scared.

"WAIT!" She yelled as Jackie tried to open the box.

"Why?"

"What... if its a bomb?"

"A bomb?"

"Yes." Her eyes were filled with sorrow as she stared at the package.

"Why should there be a bomb in it?"

"I don't know. Maybe I angered the guy when I put down the order. Or he hates Valentinos! Or he knows who it is for and wants to have you dead!"

"... Or maybe you have one of your paranoid days. Love, you just brought this from the city all the way here. Wouldn't it had gone off by now?"

"... What if it only detonates when you open it?!"

"I'm 100% sure there isn't a bomb in it. Ya wouldn't anger him by ordering stuff. He gets money for that. And the other things... Can't deny that but I trust it that its okay. Okay?"

"... Okay. You're right. It will be okay."

As Jackie attempted again to open it, Nori was glued to him. Cheek on cheek.

"My love..."

"This way we die together. I brought it to our home. I will get down with it."

"You're really worried, eh?"

"I am."

He glanced over to his girlfriend, trying to find a solution what to do. Then he had an idea.

"Alright, lets go outside." With one hand he grabbed the box while he wrapped his other arm around his girlfriend and carried her out of the house.

After setting her down, he walked up to one of the security bots and set the box down in front of it.

"What are we doing?" Nori asked worried.

"We let the bot open the box. This way no one gets hurt."

"Of course someone will! What about Jasper?"

"Jasper?"

"The bot."

"You gave the bot a name?"

"Of course! He deserves one as well. This is Jasper. The one over there is Noah. They even listen to their names. HELLO NOAH!" She waved over to the bot who waved back at her.

"Since when do they do that?" He waved over, confused and not knowing what to make out of this new information. They had the bots since they built the house and never had he seen them wave.

"You have to call his name and say hello. I programmed them when you and the V's had this heist and then went to... don't know. You were gone for what felt like 3 month. Judy came by and she showed me. "

He was impressed, but still bothered by it as well. When Nori gave something a name, she instantly treasured it and held it close to heart. That will be a problem if the bots had to defend themselfes against someone or something.

"So... Jasper or Noah are not allowed to open the box?"

"... no?" She almost whispered. Embaressed that she cared so much about the bots, knowing that everyone says they don't have a soul.

A big sigh came from the big man. Not knowing what to do now, he looked around, hoping another solution would come to his mind.

"What are you two doing?" Vincent walked out of the front door, joining the two of them after he saw them from his window.

"Tryin' to find a way to open the box without openin' it ourself. There could be a bomb in there."

"A bomb?"

"Yes. Nori has such a feelin' "

Vincent knew what that meant. He knew her conditions. It was a sad reminder of the hard times she had in her life.

"Now you gonna let the bot open it? Smart"

"Nope. We can't let Jasper or Noah get hurt." Jackie said with a bit of frustation in his voice while they watched how Nori carefully fetched the box.

"Jasper and Noah?"

"Say 'Hi Noah' and wave"

Vince did so and was surprised when one of the bots waved back.

"... We're fucked if they ever break when they defend us."

"Yea..."

"I have an idea!"

10 Minutes later, they stand on Kerry's property, the box sitting in front of one of his bots.

"Is that really okay? Its not our home or our bot." The last thing Nori wanted was to make Kerry angry.

"We have enough money to buy a new one and repair when something breaks. We're good, mi amor."

Now all three stood further away from the bot. The problem was that none of them had anything a say in what the bot does. So, Vince called Valerie to hack into it.

While doing so, Kerry came out to ask the people in his frontyard what they were doing there and watched while the bot opened the box.

Nothing happened. Not even a little poof.

"I'm glad!" Nori said while happily walking over, picking up the box and giving it to Jackie. "Happy 4th universary!"

"Of what?"

"Being back to life." She said with a warm, happy smile.

While the two were kissing and cuddling further away from them, Kerry asked what that all was about and why the twins looked so sad.

All that came from them was a dissapointed:

"No explosion..."

"And I was already so hyped about it."

Kerry looked at them for a few seconds.

"EXCUSE ME, WHAT?!"

An early birthday present to me! I'm 31 on the 25th and I'm damned happy to be here. Also, this is yet another stride forward in my ongoing deprogramming journey! The bison on my right side is a BI-SON because I love bison and puns plus now that I'm Free and Out, I want everyone to know what I'm about. The Hello Kitty Gingerbread Cookie is a Memorial tat for my Daddy and for my Sara. When I was born, Daddy said I looked just like a gingerbread cookie which led to the nickname that was just for him: Cookie. Sara Elizabeth was stolen from us by an evil and rare brain tumor (DIPG) and she adored Hello Kitty. The icing and bow are their favorite colors: purple and pink, respectively.

The Cult I escaped from is the Jehovah's Witnesses and two of the main Rules they had was no Ink and no celebrating your birthday.

I SAY FUCK THAT AND FUCK THEM. I have reclaimed my time and my life from them and I'm never going back. I've always wanted tattoos and since my sheet music orchid healed beautifully, I returned to the same parlor and got the same excellent service and fair price.

They also helped me plan my next tattoos after my Caged Bird Free on my right tricep.

My right thigh is going to have a mural of an owl holding Medusa's head because Medusa got fucked over and I always felt bad for her. That and I'm a huge Mythology nerd. After tigers, bison, and cows, the owl is my favorite animal and it's a long time symbol of wisdom. I plan on returning to the artist who did my Orchid, although everyone in the parlor is very good.

My left tricep is going to have Venusaur with its flower in the bisexual flag colors. Bulbasaur has been my favorite Pokemon since I was a kid back in the day when there were only 150 and all its evolutions are awesome. The reason I came up with the idea is because my tattoo parlor is a station for Pokemon GO, adding bonus points to how much I love it. Plus, it's literally down the street from my house. Support your local businesses, folks!

I have some transparent waterproof bandages on the way and I have plenty of Shea butter to tend to them as I heal. I have to go out and get a travel size for when I'm at the gym and I'll probably do that while I get some more extra strength Tylenol and Gatorade for the gym.

My Fibromyalgia has been kicking my ass for the last 2 months but I'm already putting my doctors on the case and 2 new pain management docs are on standby if they can't help me. I have an appointment with my surgeon to talk about more nerve ablations and to get my weight loss supplement refilled or replaced because since I haven't been able to get refills, I gained everything I lost back and then some. Thankfully, I have a consistent gym routine and I've adjusted my diet so I know the weight gain is because of that because before I ran out, I was dropping weight slowly but steadily.

I am LIVING for The Ones Who Live. It's literally a Richonne fanfic novel come to life and it's doing 2016, Pre Negan numbers so hopefully, we'll get a Season 2 and/or a movie. It's literally leaving money on the table if they don't! Plus, Andy and Danai are in the writer's room and it shows on and off camera. They understand and love their characters as much as we do and it's just refreshing! The Walking Dead is exciting AND sensible again, LMAO!

ALSO, I saw that The Admiral has joined the original Law and Order as Jack McCoy's successor. The only actor I love more than Andrew Lincoln is Tony Goldwyn so I might pull up. My main Law and Order has always been SVU and now Organized Crime since their Leads are just as entwined as the shows buuttt, I love Tony. He's a sweetheart and can you guys imagine if they put Kerry on as a guest star linked to him??? I know she's got her own projects going on but an Olitz reunion would be so cool, especially since Elliot and Olivia ARE STILL NOT TOGETHER! Jeez, just let them fuck and love each other fully! God-DAMN!

Today he wasn’t going to stay in the distance. No, not another day. Again and again, Ggringo had watched Starfire go about her days, silently witnessing her with the other Titans or with the civilians of the city. There were a few times before where he wanted to move in and actually talk to her, but there was always something to get in the way - someone coming to talk to her before he could do so, something with the little device she carried along that made her turn around and leave, him talking himself out of it to try it on a different day - and he was aiming to break that silence today.

Watching her for a few moments longer, the tamaranean soldier took a deep breath before walking over to her. “…Hello,” he mutters, his voice rather loud even though he was intending to speak quietly. Surprised, the princess turns around, and for a moment just stares; she clearly hadn’t expected to come across another tamaranean. Or perhaps she already recognized him, but Ggringo doubted that. “Oh, my greetings! What a rare occassion to meet one of my people here, on Earth! What brings you here, and is there some thing that I can-” He fell to his knees, which caused her to interrupt herself, and gesture for him to get up again. “Please, this is not required! I am not-” “Brau, iga brs. Almmeys. Kori. Korri-Kerri.” When she heard this, Starfire’s eyes went wide in surprise, and while Ggringo got up from his kneefall she seems frozen, outside of the blinking of her eyes. “Ggringo… Ggringo-Jingo?”, she asks back, to which he only nods, rather nervous for what her reaction would be. She immediately jumps closer to wrap him into a tight hug, and Ggringo fought his reflexes to not just free himself right away. Once he has swallowed his reflexes enough, it actually feels nice, and a few moments later he was released again while Starfire beamed at him. “Oh, Ggringo! Such a surprise! I, I have thought you have died!” He would’ve preferred to continue talking tamaranean, but seeing how she just talked english again, he assumed she felt more connected to that and so he’d go with it. “Of course. Everyone thought so, when no one returned from the fight. But… I survived. I was taken prisoner, for a long time. I only escaped recently.” He left out a lot of details here, but he didn’t feel like sharing them as quickly. “How glorious to hear and see that you have survived! I was most saddened to hear of the happenings of the battle!” “I promised to return. So I found a way.” There were a few moments of silence now, it seemed that neither side knew what to say. Ggringo then reached for her hand and took it, to which she seemed a little surprised again. He gently held it while his other hand almost not-touched her hand, gently moving across it. “Kori. I… I returned… to you. But then I learned that you are here, and not on Tamaran anymore. Why?”

“Oh, Ggringo…” She looked sad now, and as much as he didn’t want to see that, he had to ask the question and get an answer. “Much has happened since you were taken. I… You are knowing how I never felt content with staying at the castle, yes?” He nodded. “Eventually, I left to explore. I was taken, and freed myself when close to Earth. I came here to hide, to fight and leave, but I have met wonderful people. They helped me in fight, and I felt a connection to them promptly. I stayed, and by now, this is my home.” “Not Tamaran?” “Tamaran too, but… I feel more connected here. It is difficult to explain, and likely much more difficult for you to understand… I am sorry.” “But…” He shouldn’t talk like this. He had seen her with her friends, and he felt certain that he would only feel worse if he’d specify what he was thinking, feeling, and meaning to say. No… it was better to stay silent on that matter.

"hell's version of Italy and not actual Italy" is sending me kahfjajgkabgja I would be so sour if I was Lucia lol. Though I think it's keep her protected with the shadow/star witches (I think that's what they're called?), and also because the Shifting Isles are never stagnant, I believe there was something about how they exist in multiple intersections of time and space simultaneously? so I think it would be way harder to find someone in there than in the real, mortal-world Italy.

Okay, I don't remember this well, so correct me if I'm wrong. But I think the part about pride's wife and her sister having their hearts torn was in the Wrath POV bonus chapter? And that was, I believe, one of the initial crafts that Kerri Maniscalco was writing. So there are lots of things in those chapters that don't match with the book we got. I think they're meant more as some fun add-ons to read, rather than missing parts of the books we got.

And about Claudia losing her mind..... I'm pretty sure that was one of the witches, right? Like, even with Sofia Santorini, it was Nonna Maria who made her go mad, rather than her actually going insane. So they probably did something similar to Claudia ti get her away from scrying (because then she'd start remembering), and then fixed her, because well. You can't fuck up you boss' daughter like that permanently when she entrusted you to care for her. 💀💀💀

YES, them being besties even when they were always meant to be apart? Look what happens when there's no man to be fighting over. 🤌🤌

Oh yeah, Vittoria is interesting to read about, yes. But my gripe with her character is more like.... she's not exactly morally gray for most of her arc. She keeps switching between being absolutely diabolical, to being shown as an all-in-all good person. And that's more of a writing inconsistency. Like, I like the unhingedness, but I would really appreciate if we can decide what role her character is going to have in the story, you know? Because right now it seems like she is being swinged to play whatever part suits the point the story of the other characters is at, as opposed to having her own role and arc. So perhaps with more development, I'd appreciate her character more.

2. No, its not a retelling of canon. Its literally a “I don’t like canon, so I’m going to rewrite the entire show in my image”. If it was a retelling of canon, we’d expect them to be more respectful.

3. We want to talk racism? Retconning Oscar and Gretchen? Is whitewashing Ozpin’s host, while also giving a really dumb portrayal for Hazel. Don’t get me started on the whole “Nora wasn’t allowed to beat up Hazel, but Sun can somehow go toe to toe with him as a COP?” And putting Ilia, the POC LGBT, in prison while making her constantly hate herself? Making Arlan Altan, who in the books and the show was a good and helpful person, into a jerk who mocked the dead, and Lionhart into a sociopath when he was trying to save his hide because he was scared of Salem? “Fixing RWBY” is literally a white savior fanfic.

4. Weiss associating with killers and thieves when it was killers and thieves that gave the White Fang a bad name, while Sienna Khan was actually trying to violence in moderation because violence was not her end goal, aka what made her more of a “Wasted potential” than everyone’s 2nd favorite self-insert Adam Taurus. Raven and her gang of raiders wipe out villages. And somehow we’re supposed to romanticize that? Don’t get me wrong, Raven is pretty cool, and she’s complicated. Her tribe is not. Its like the Legion from fallout new vegas...without their leader, they’re worthless.

5. Every type a member of RWBY Critics tells RWBY Fans that they “need help, get help”, I can’t help but notice that they proudly defend people who take a dump on Monty’s friends and RWBY Co-creators Miles Luna and Kerry Shawcross.

Let me state that yes, RWBY is flawed. It wasn’t built by a professional scriptwriter like M. Night shymalayan who made the ATLA Live action movie.

It was made by 3 guys in a I-Hop who wanted to try making a female protagonist lgbt-coded show because they studied anime and cartoons, and wanted to create something new...for fun.

“But fixing rwby is for fun!” Um...the moment you say you’re fixing something and your main writer claims to be a better writer than the writers of the show you claim to be fixing? Automatic red flags.

Don’t get me wrong, I admire the amount of passion that is put into the fanfic...but at the end of the day, it was made with ill-intent, and that is reflected in the writing where 4 woman aren’t allowed to fight a male antagonist, because the fanfic writer would rather men defeat other men, aka the White Knight trope.

Besides that stale trope, the whole sexualizing teenagers with bathhouses and heat cycles thing is pretty stale too!

buckle up, gamers. it's time for some lore. this is a very long post. 

warning: this will contain a million spoilers. both for details of multiple game endings, a wee bit of the “where’s johnny” comic, and the cyberpunk RED book. if you want a sparknotes version this is the post for you. my main source here is the cyberpunk RED book as well as as some references to the cyberpunk 2077 world book to cross examine the lore. 

i have no idea if someone has made this post before or what anybody else has been finding in their own lore diving. this is just me documenting my own findings from the sources i’ve been using.

it would be disingenuous not to preface this with the ways in which cyberpunk 2077's telling of the arasaka assault differ from the version told in the TTRPG books. the books =/= the game. pondsmith acknowledges in the intro of RED that this is a bridge between the old cyberpunk world and the new world of cyberpunk 2077. 

we also know that johnny's an unreliable narrator and his memories presented to V are often different than real events. but on top of that we don't know if the reason why many elements are changed is simply CDPR editing/adjusting/condensing the storyline for their own canon, or if it's due to johnny's construct being manipulated by outside influences such as arasaka.

some of the main differences you need to know from cyberpunk RED canon:

in 2023 johnny doesn't bring the nukes to arasaka tower. he's solely there to free alt.

johnny and rogue and their team from the atlantis/the aldecaldos are actually hired by morgan blackhand. 

morgan blackhand is the one who plants the nuke, unbeknownst to many members of the team. 

morgan blackhand promptly disappears after this event and no one knows if he's alive or dead. (claire confirms this fact to jackie and v before the heist in 2077 canon)

johnny's silver cybernetic arm is its own character, separate from himself. it seems to have a mind of its own and johnny interacts with it and/or is influenced by it.

when he, spider murphy, rogue, thompson, shaitan, and a team of los lobos from the aldecaldos (who are there in place of santiago, as he’s busy as the leader of the aldecaldos at this point) are attacked by adam smasher, johnny and his arm actively choose to draw smasher's fire in a deliberately suicidal move. smasher downs him instantly, but the distraction is enough to also save his friends.

spider murphy shoves a mysterious chip in johnny's dying head as they escape that alt had downloaded to her a long time ago.

johnny's body is later "rumoured" to have been retrieved from the rubble by a full-body borg groupie that was a first responder to the ground zero of AHQ and then hidden away in a nearby garage.

here comes the political lore that makes my eyes cross, so hopefully this accurately summarizes it: the 4th corporate war begins to end. arasaka is ultimately blamed by the NUSA government to have nuked themselves in a political move to protect their secrets and promptly banished from the USA. arasaka denies this all the way back to japan, then eventually returns to “liberate” night city in the unification wars.

but what the public doesn't know is that kei, saburo's oldest son, had actually hidden an EVEN BIGGER MORE DEVASTATING NUKE at the bottom of the tower to, well, do exactly what they were being accused of doing, even though blackhand was the one who actually dropped the smaller nuke on them. and luckily the bigger one didn’t go off.

arasaka tries to find their nuke in the rubble so they don't get in even bigger trouble, only to discover that it was moved and hidden away to... surprise! a nearby garage.

to compare with 2077:

in RED: we have no johnny loading the nukes into the elevator. no johnny being carried off the premises. no meeting saburo. no johnny getting soulkilled.

in 2077: there's a parallel moment to RED's version of events right after johnny uploads "liberator" from alt's old cyberdeck with spider's help into the arasaka mainframe in saburo's office. adam smasher comes for him as he's trying to escape, knocking him off the second floor of the atrium into the rock garden below.

visually this is the same atrium we always meet alt in in cyberspace and also where V meets johnny for the first time. hmmm. meaningful, perhaps.

not unlike what happens in RED, johnny unloads a clip into smasher at that point, but from there the scene instantly cuts to him running to the roof attempting to board the AV with rogue, where smasher shoots him down again. it’s possible johnny actually died to smasher in the atrium and we have some fabricated memories going on. 

either way, in 2077, we lose the character beat of johnny dying for his friends, and the current-day general consensus from rogue and others is that he’s perpetually a selfish asshole with ulterior motives. 

and, just to wrap up the politics of it all: morgan blackhand is rumoured to have been secretly hired by the militech-backed NUSA government to help end the 4th corporate war by... you guessed it! nuking arasaka.

HERE'S WHERE JOHNNY'S BODY ENDS UP IN CYBERPUNK RED (SPARKNOTES VERSION):

RED ends with a story called "black dog" set in 2045. black dog is the last song johnny recorded right before the assault on arasaka tower, but the final copy is a bootleg copy of the song and only a fraction.

we're introduced to a fun group of cybernetic-enhanced characters that represent the classes in the TTRPG and based on/designed by real people in collaboration with CDPR.

this group includes trace santiago, santiago's son, who is a media that is curious about the mystery surrounding the circumstances around his father and the arasaka bombing. 

just connecting lore here: if you talk to saul at the aldecaldo camp in 2077, he confirms that santiago was killed for his involvement with johnny and the bombing, something that rogue and johnny reference when they talk about their now-dead crew from the afterlife, and in chippin in, santiago is a friend that johnny lists as someone he had disappointed.

the group sets off to find any info about black dog, and meet up with a full conversion chrome woman named samantha in a garage who is blatantly a johnny silverhand fangirl. trace discovers she has a history with johnny, having rescued him from a studio fire at some point in 2015 and speculates she could have been a groupie also.

she mysteriously has a more complete recording of black dog, though not perfect, and offers to trade it for a service: she wants the group to transport a large crate to a facility in new mexico, asking them not to open it.

shit goes down. evidently everyone in night city wants to kill them for this package once it starts moving. eventually they open it. it's the arasaka nuke that had been hidden and never went off, emblazoned with warnings.

trace inquires about the circumstances surrounding the arasaka assault with an older member of the lobos who had been present with rogue and johnny. the man mentions that it was weird, because morgan blackhand organized the whole thing and then ran off immediately with a mysterious bag that we now know contained the nuke. 

michiko arasaka intercepts the gang, explaining the situation around the bigger nuke, that other factions in arasaka want to utilize it for their own goals (presumably hanako and yorinobu) and her father's legacy, that she feels responsible for. she escorts them to new mexico so that the nuke can be dismantled once and for all.

they meet up with a woman named angel in new mexico that takes the crate from them, at a facility that specializes in nuclear material. she gives the group the full recording of "black dog". the group leaves successful.

this woman is also a johnny silverhand stan. once alone, she calls up samantha, who says, "i promised i would get him to you in the end" and reveals that she had already gutted/dismantled the original nuke and discarded the material into the bay.

angel opens the "nuke" to reveal a hidden cryochamber, and greets the face of the person inside with, "hello, my love."

i mean, holy shit. okay! so that’s DEFINITELY johnny’s body. cool!

now let’s go into all the references to this story in the actual game of cyberpunk 2077 that SUGGEST we are going to pursue this story AND johnny's body since it’s such a HOT FUCKING TOPIC. 

and i know many of the following can just be considered easter eggs. but my personal interpretation of this game is that it has a really delightful way of intentionally glossing over important story details—and not by ONLY putting them in shards (which people tend to dislike because lol reading) but by also hiding them in plain sight, constantly deferring to V's own ignorance, distracting us with shallower, shinier things, encouraging us to actually play as the fool hero of this story. 

so here's the fun list of “””evidence”””:

this one’s a reach, but fun. in the initial arasaka assault flashback in 2023: we can interact with the groupies at kerry's show as johnny. samantha doesn't appear to be present, but the first person and groupie you can encounter in the flashback has a passing resemblance to angel in that she has a cybernetic arm.

in chippin' in, where we go to johnny's "grave" in the oil fields: if we are to take the 2077 retelling of events as truth, the story could instead be pretty easily be changed that samantha procured his body from there.

mike pondsmith, who wrote these stories and created the TTRPG can be heard on the radio narrating various conspiracy theories. and sure, these can just be easter eggs, intended to reference the differences between the TTRPG lore and the game, so take it with a grain of salt:

johnny. bro. tell him it was morgan blackhand

to top it all off, mike also directly references the actual WORSE nuke arasaka had hid in another arasaka conspiracy: 

SPOILERS FOR GAME ENDINGS AHEAD.

in the rogue ending of the game we discover rogue has a son. it's possible her son is trace (edit: nvm NOT LIKELY, since in RED’s black dog story rogue is listed separately from santiago’s mom in conversation) OR possibly one of the other characters. she tells her son to "pull over and look at the stars" or something along those lines. maybe just details, so that screams nomad to me.

rogue also has a photo of herself and johnny with mike pondsmith in her apartment/office in the afterlife. i initially read this as a delightful cameo but it also can mean mike the CHARACTER knew johnny and rogue, and rogue therefore has some kind of relationship to him and these conspiracies on the radio. and why the fuck not make him a full on character? we have a smattering of streamers and personalities already integrated into quests in the game. the creator of all this should be no exception. fuck it! 

rogue and johnny constantly dance around this accusation of her “selling out”. it’s repeated over and over that she and adam smasher worked for "the same people". i'm beginning to wonder if this wasn't meant to imply only arasaka since smasher mysteriously disappeared after the AHQ assault in 2023 and returned to SOMETIMES take jobs from arasaka... but possibly morgan blackhand and/or by extension, the NUSA or any other greater influences. (like nightcorp? we still don’t know where all this shit with nightcorp/the peralezes/sandra dorsett’s discovery about their research into mind control is gonna go) this also doesn’t account for the multiple factions inside arasaka with VERY different motives. 

morgan blackhand and adam smasher are rivals in the TTRPG, a role that appears to be at least partially filled by johnny instead in 2077. in relation to the arasaka factions, it’s worth nothing that smasher specifically works for yorinobu as his bodyguard at the beginning of the game, in part i assume because yorinobu is avoiding working with arasaka security details as he stole the relic and is plotting against his father. he is then promoted to head of security by yorinobu when yorinobu assumes power. 

in the ending as you work your way through arasaka tower with rogue and shaitan and johnny, rogue remarks:

michiko at this point in 2077 is the leader of the more “liberal” faction within arasaka, so it’s possible we’re seeing that while rogue and smasher work for the same people/family, they couldn’t be more different. 

you can also encounter rogue more than once on the phone fighting with wakako, who has apparently crossed her. wakako also seems to have her own ulterior motives and works mainly with the arasaka-backed tyger claws. she notably gives v/takemura the parade security info for “play it safe” without asking for anything in return, enabling hanako’s kidnapping. my theory is that yorinobu intentionally leaked the parade info to her to give away to put hanako in danger or at least continue to destabilize arasaka. 

in the takemura/devil ending of the game, there is a point where violence breaks out at the arasaka board room meeting when yorinobu-allied security open fire on them. one of the only people that survives along with hanako is michiko arasaka, who was at odds with hanako’s decisions, but  very involved in the preceding discussion.

and now for is my favorite detail! in the afterlife AT ALL POINTS IN THE GAME (but it can only really be inspected in the rogue ending when we are allowed behind the bar), we can find a photo of the squad that transported johnny's body from samantha to angel on the shelf below johnny's tequila, of them hanging out in front of the afterlife sign:  

this implies rogue has some relationship with them, and sentimentality, if we're to judge by the placement. she maybe even took the picture. i don't know, it's charming, it could be all easter eggs. who fucking knows.

either way, rogue and these kids both have in common that they worked with or at least interacted with michiko arasaka. 

and you know what my final evidence is? more wishful thinking! black dog plays on the radio in game. we got a full recorded version of it by refused. if not an oversight, i go ahead and take it to mean the final version was finally released to the public by those kids that were looking for it. 

i haven’t the slightest idea how this is gonna wrap up in future DLC. who has johnny’s body now in 2077, decades after it was dropped off in mexico? what is the truth?? where the fuck is morgan blackhand?? from the devil ending, we know that arasaka stole jackie’s body and put his soul into mikoshi, so the idea that they would just toss johnny’s corpse has always been laughable. the “where’s johnny?” promotional comic was even about thompson unsuccessfully trying to find johnny’s body. i know i am biased here but i cannot fathom all this talk about johnny’s body ending off with us NOT finding it, whether it’s just to bury it, shove johnny’s engram back in it, make out with it, or WHATEVER.

Hi! Do you have a compilation of the moments Jungkook calls Jimin just 'Jimin' with no honorifics at all? Those moments were as LOUD for me as GCF is,but I cannot remember any specific ones except for the latest Bangtan Bomb. I'm like,the same JK who insists on keeping boundaries with everyone actually said 'Jimin'(like they dropped the need for that 'hyung' a long time ago,between themselves)? In front of my salad??

Some more examples, dangshin is either very informal or very formal depending on which way you use it. JK used it informally. Dangshin is technically a sweeter way to say You.
