Opinions and analysis of Illumi Zoldyck
Does he feel emotions, feelings and sensations?
A popular opinion in HxH community is that Illumi doesn’t feel any emotion because, as he says, in the Zoldyck family they are raised only as killing machines (even if they have other roles too: Illumi has an educational and training role and Killua is designed to be the future patriarch of the Zoldycks), but in the story he actually has a different behaviour.
Let’s just concentrate on his actions, not only on his facial espressions and on what he says.
We know that sometimes Illumi gives his victims the possibility to ask for a last wish. We know it because of the guy in the Hunter exam, Illumi’s target, that asked him to let him fight Hisoka before dying and Illumi accepted his wish, letting him go (and letting him try to fight him until the guy was about to hit Hisoka). Hisoka than says that Illumi of course accepted his last wish and the other says that it’s true because he had pity of him.
So Illumi feels pity.
Next he says, during his transformation from Gittarackur to his real appearance, that isn’t a nice sensation, but he’s glad Hisoka is enjoying it.
So he can actually feel discomfort and feeling glad that other people enjoy something about him.
He is proud of his brother reaching the last part of his exam and feeling annoyed because of his willingness to be with Gon instead of him and the family.
He can feel proud and annoyance.
He thinks that Hisoka is fully trustworthy or wouldn’t explain him the secret of Nanika (something that Zoldycks don’t want people to know outside the family) and, even if his family says Illumi never works with others, before doing anything on his own he usually asks Hisoka for help.
So Illumi feels trustful towards Hisoka.
He gets really angry when Killua doesn’t obey him because he thinks he’s doing the right thing to protect everyone in his family.
Illumi feels even anger.
And when Hisoka does his joke (joke? 🤨) about you-know Killua Illumi basically explodes in a homicidal rage and is about to kill Hisoka instantly.
So he has problems to control his emotions sometimes (angry issues?) and his homicidal instincts. He even cares a lot about Killua.
This is another point. Illumi acts against Killua, true, but because he thinks that what he’s doing is the best thing for Killua and the family. Even Bisky said that Illumi loves his younger brother a lot, a sick and perverse love, but still love.
Illumi even feels love.
That’s why i think that Illumi can actually feel anything like a normal person, but since he’s trained to be a machine has a tendency to not show emotions and ignore them if they goes against his goals and orders (but he still has problems to control anger when is about Killua) and experiences his emotions in an atypical way compared to ordinary people.
Anyway, that was my analysis and thank you for reading! I wish you all a nice day!
[thank you @suckitdeku for helping me with the grammar corrections]

We are told at the very start of the manga that "if you want to know a person, you need to find out what makes them angry"
So I want to talk about Gon, and what makes him angry.
Gon is hard to anger, especially for a kid: He wasn't angry at his dad for abandoning him and never visiting, he wasn't angry at Mito for lying that his parents died, he wasn't angry when Leorio made everyone lose 50 hours at the trick tower despite revealing later in Hanzo's fight that his hope to meet his 'amazing hunter dad' would vanish if couldn't finish the exam on his first try like Ging did (there is no "better luck in the next exam" for Gon), he never gets jealous when Killua shows more strength or knowledge than him even though they are the same age and he used to be very powerful on his little island, and so on.
But it's not hard for Gon to get angry for others: Be it angry for their safety or about people disrespecting their wishes. Especially if they are his friends.
His anger is stronger when his friend's lives are at risk, their safety triumphs over his wish to respect what they want.
But he doesn't care about his own life.
He is never angry when people hurt him. As Hanzo had put it, even injuries as severe as broken bones don't matter to Gon.
But Gon was visibly frustrated in Hanzo's fight.
He wants to win. And he wants to be the one to win not for Hanzo to forfeit. He wants to earn his license, he need proof that he is strong, capable, and worthy of being in the last phase, aware he was only here because Hisoka let him pass.
The person Gon feels the most anger towards at the end of the exam is himself for being a hunter but not feeling like he is worth of the title.
Gon is always the most angry at himself.
When Kite kills a foxbear, punching Gon for trespassing in their territory, Gon isn't angry at him or the fox bear that attacked him, he puts the full blame on himself and tries to make up for it by raising Kon.
When Killua goes 'back home' he gets angry at Illumi for making Killua do things he doesn't want, but he also blames himself for not being there for Killua when his fight with Illumi happened.
Similarly, his instinct when he learned, without a doubt, that Kite is beyond saving, was to blame himself.
He isn't thinking about Pitou, isn't even seeing them, blinded by Kite and his own guilt.
This quest for 'revenge' was never about Pitou, it was always about healing Kite. And since Pitou can't heal the dead, Gon blames himself, he is angry at himself.
Pitou is the one that killed him. Killua was the one that was terrified by Pitou's aura and knocked Gon unconscious to run. Kite was the one that told them to run. Gon is far from the "reason kite died" but he loves and respect Kite and Killua, so he obviously doesn't see anything wrong, he never once blames Killua for what happened.
In fact... He had thanked him
And Gon is genuinely grateful here.
It breaks my heart how much he loves and trusts his friends, eager to share all his good times and victories with them. Wanting them by his side always, no matter how personal his journey is.
But when something bad happens he wants to 'make it better' alone. Is never "we will fix this" is always "I will", because he doesn't want to trouble them, be it by his own emotions, or outside dangers.
Gon never blames his friends, so he is the one responsible when bad things happen, the only one that needs to fix any problem. And if death is a risk, he will immediately assign the lethal job to himself, and himself only.
Gon isolates himself when things get hard but he still doesn't want to be alone. He craves company and support more than ever when he is hurt.
But he doesn't like to feel weak or helpless, so asking for help or opening up is extremely hard. He mostly just gets angry at himself for feeling how he feels and refuse to make it someone else's problem.
He didn't cry after stealing Hisoka's badge but he was feeling helpless and unworthy so he sucked it up and went to do better, it was only after Kurapika asked directly if he was okay that he lowered his walls and found himself crying.
He is just a kid, he can't process his self hate, frustration, or guilt well, and his way to feel better is to help others, be useful and powerful. But sometimes that's not enough, or he simply can't help.
So he constantly finds himself in situations where he gets injured, physical pain is something that he is more used to, that it's easier to process: He let a foxbear cub claws his shoulders after his actions make Kite kill the cub's mother, he let 'puppet kite' hit him even when he learned its robotic attack pattern, he feels weak and frustrated because 'The Bomber' wasn't taking him seriously and he hates feeling weak, so he delayed Killua's plan and got his hands destroyed to prove to himself that he can do it.
But helping others is still the clear priority over hurting himself: The best example to show this is when he visits the Zoldycks. He never took his anger about the Zoldyck family's isolation on Canary when he visited Killua, letting her knock him down again and again in silence for a while before expressing his frustrations with how unfair it is that he need to go through trials to visit a friend.
And when Killua's mom visited, he prioritized canary over his goal.
Gon is just... kind. Is far easier for him to care about strangers than it is for him to be angry.
Gon is smart, but he is not the best at figuring out people when they don't tell him how they feel, especially when Gon is annoyed or unsatisfied.
So I am not surprised he assumed cool-headed killua, who hides all his pain and is so reliable and mature, "always cleaning up Gon's mess", wasn't in pain in the chimera ant arc. It’s like having someone say “be calm” when you’re angry, stating cold facts that only make you feel more incompetent in your emotional state.
It hurt because it feels like Killua, whose opinion Gon values so much, doesn't care about Kite, his super important mentor figure. And since Pitou’s behavior makes it so he can’t use them as an outlet for his emotions, this hint of anger and betrayal at Killua makes him lash out without thinking about his friend.
But even in his blinding guilt and hatred, Killua is important enough to still be able to calm him down, and reminds him of his goal.
Gon doesn't understand Killua is hurt (since killua doesn't tell him) but at least... He is not alone.
"I can't wait" --> He genuinely feels like Killua is as calm as he pretends to be, only he is the 'helpless and in pain' one in Gon's mind and so Killua could easily wait, but he personally can't. He is alone in his pain.
"how long must we wait?" --> Killua is here. Gon never feels truly alone with Killua by his side, he at least has the comfort of an anchor in these trying times.
Killua, who feels unwanted, hurt, and useless, also misunderstands Gon and leaves when Gon needed company the most. Is none of their faults, but it does make Gon's already incredibly bad state even worst.
There is no one but himself to calm him down when he hit his breaking point, and Gon isn't kind to himself.
His 'fight' with Pitou wasn't revenge. It was a failed attempt to "get kite back" to "fix him" which failed, and he couldn't deal with the resulting grief, so he turned it all into a suicide attempt.
To me, Gon gets angry when he feels inadequate or that a loved one deserves better, he has self-centered tunnel vision when he gets angry, so he doesn't realize his anger-fueled actions might trouble others, but when he does he will make an effort to set aside his own goals for others.
He is a good kid, a genuinely good kid with no self-love that is surrounded by adults that usually view him as a monster or a "admirable powerhouse" first and a child second, and it takes an enormous amount of strain to make him break.
He is a very strong kid, I wanna hug him.

hiii. Could I request some headcanons for Hisoka? Sfw/fluff. The reader is a child (killua and gon's age, and travels with them) and somehow got attached to him. Even though gon and killua find him super creepy and don't trust him, y/n doesn't find him off-putting at all and wants to hang out with him. Like at heavens arena, instead of being disgusted at his little show he put on, she was amazed he could do such things. Reader doesn't have a dad so he kind of takes that role in her eyes. She thinks he's really cool and follows him around when he's in the area. Reader is also training as an assassin (not quite as good as killua though) so she doesn't find his desire for killing scary. I just want some cute hc's between hisoka and his little admirer :)) it's okay if you don't feel comfortable writing this though. Thank you anyway!
“Are you a magician?”
Hisoka looked down in the direction from which the small voice came. It was a child who couldn't be more than thirteen years old. The same child who was staring at him for the last 2 hours.
Their eyes were wide and sparkled with anticipation.
“Not exactly, but I suppose I can do a bit of magic~” Hisoka smiled seeing your expression light up.
“Can you do a trick?!” You were bouncing up and down excitedly. You truly were a kid. Hisoka wondered how someone like you wound up taking the ex-
Someone bumped into Hisoka’s shoulder and kept moving. Interrupting his train of thought.
“Child you wanted to see a trick yes? As you wish~”
Within a few moments, the man who bumped into Hisoka, arms evaporated into flower petals. Immediately everyone backed away leaving just you Hisoka and the rude man on the floor.
Hisoka observed the look of fear and hatred on everyone’s face. Surely by now, even the child would stare at me the same way.
But he was wrong.
“That's so cool!” You were even more happy than before. Hisoka stared at you in disbelief but that look quickly turned to amusement. You were going to be a fun new toy for him to play with.
“I wanna do that too!” you whined tugging on his arm.
Hisoka bent down till he was able to make eye contact with you.
“You seem like a good kid. What's your name?”
“Y/n.”
“Y/n huh. You can call me Hisoka. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
__________
- For the rest of the exam you were glued to Hisoka’s side
- While others were running like crazy to catch up with the examinator you were riding his back
- Getting lost in the forest? Not a problem when Hisoka knows the way
- Need help finding your target? Hisoka already killed them.
- It wasn't until the end of the exam when you and Gon had to go help Killua that you left his side.
- The dynamic between you two would slowly grow into a father-and-daughter relationship.
Headcanons:
- Hisoka is the kind of guy who buys you ice cream after a long day of training
- Hisoka is the kind of guy to take pictures of everything you do
- Hisoka feels calmer going to sleep knowing you’re safe next to him
- Hisoka loves to make you laugh by doing tricks and tickling you
- Hisoka is the kind of guy to dress himself up in Princess outfits to make you smile
- When you are sad you have Hisoka wrapped around your finger.
- He does anything to make you feel better
- Becoming known as Hisoka’s child is both a blessing and a curse
- On one hand, everyone is afraid of you or wants to get on your good side
- On the other, those with a grudge against Hisoka would come to you
- Thankfully Hisoka is there to keep you out of harm
- Sometimes
- Despite his affection for you
- Hisoka won't hesitate to leave you stranded somewhere or beat you to a pulp to turn you into a “ripe fruit”
- When you do something wrong Hisoka would make you sit in a corner and eat your favorite dessert right in front of you
- Being Hisoka’s “child” means watching him do stupid things
- Like robbing a bank
- Killing sprees
- Singing off key
- Rizzing Illumi
- And giving weird looks to your friends. (gon and killua)
- When Hisoka has somewhere to be he likes to drop you off with Illumi or the Phantom troupe
- So they eventually become your aunts and uncles
- Your life with him is fun and chaotic
- You grow to depend on him for help, guidance, and attention
- And Hisoka learns to care for someone other than himself
-In the end, it's a win-win

Oh my gosh, you write for HxH!!! Hi, can I please have headcanons of Killua with a big sibling-figure reader? Reader has been a butler of the Zoldycks since they were a teen and Killua a toddler. Like, Killua always wanna hang out with reader and reader would patch him up after his training. Sometimes I wish I could be there for my baby boy when he was growing up!!
HxH—“Find your inner strength.”
➵Summary:Killua with big sibling-figure reader
➵Warning:mention of family abuse
➵A/N:Hello there dear! And of course you can have that, and honestly same I wish I had been there for Killua but anyway enjoy your order
Just like the request said Killua would always want to be around you, he didn't feel true family love, the only thing he ever experienced was training and what he believed was his father loving him
Since you were Killua's family butler he probably wants you to escape with him, I mean you were with Killua 24/7 his family it's out to kill you and he doesn't want that especially since you his true family
Killua gets injured often so you bandaging him means a lot to him,I mean even though he has to be strong he truly wants to be weak around someone and that someone being you
I feel like Killua may have accidentally referred to you as his sibling, Killua probably was embarrassed if you heard him panicking saying he was joking though everyone knows he didn't
Since Killua sees you as his older sibling he's out to be pissed if someone asks you out, yes you are allowed to date he wouldn't stop you no way, but there is no way he will trust someone who is a dumbass he doesn't want you to get hurt by someone so useless
Killua isn't a fan of PDA for obvious reasons he didn't experience it and Illumi already fucked it up for him, but speaking truthfully he loves it when you hug him like I mentioned he just wants to be allowed to be weak around someone
Alluka probably also sees you as a good sibling(that includes Nanika) if you were around Killua 24/7 when he was younger which you probably were Alluka probably met you and so did Nanika and because of that you were as good as a person as Killua in Nanika eyes
If Killua is hanging out with Gon you probably are around these two worrying about them especially about Killua, I mean have you seen how they ate the spaghetti in greed island?! Holy shit that would be concerning at least for me, 30 minutes and eating that amount of spaghetti would cause me a stomachache
Also Killua tries to keep you as far away from Hisoka as possible, he's not about to have him around someone who is like family to him even though you are probably the same age as Hisoka or a little younger
Killua probably protects you as much as he can't if you are not able to fight, and if you are Killua is so damn proud that is nuts complementing you Infront Gon and the rest
Honestly he probably doesn't mention having any siblings except you and Alluka to other people of course if you are not around if you are he's too embarrassed to say it, because honestly you are an inspiration to him just how Gon is

i am once again thinking about killua and nanika
like I can't stop thinking about how much they are the same. Like nanika really kind of mirrors killua's emotional/personal arc throughout the series. thinking about the traits they share like...
pre-canon, both killua and nanika are tools. people (their family) are cruel to them, and they are made to enact cruelty onto others. the only difference is that killua can be controlled while nanika can't be. killua 'earns' his 'freedom' by virtue of him being much easier to manage/manipulate. nanika, on the other hand, cannot be managed so she and alluka are shut away permanently.
killua and nanika are largely beholden to the will of others -- for killua, its through illumi's needle as well as years of isolation, conditioning, and abuse by his family, and for nanika its in her nature.
but when they find someone who treats them like kids, or friends rather than monsters or a means to an end, when they're not being made to hurt others, killua and nanika both give freely and ask for very little in return.
killua, over and over, makes gon's 'wishes' come true, even if its at cost to himself. gon, kurapika, and leorio all pass the hunter exam because killua breaks a rule, ensuring the victory of everyone else there. he takes gon to heavens arena so he can train to beat hisoka, he agrees to help kurapika fight the phantom troupe because gon wants to help kurapika, he helps gon win greed island, and he gives everything to help gon beat the chimera ants. and all killua asks in return is that he be allowed to stay by gon's side. gon very rarely verbally asks or demands anything of killua (which some people portray as a sign of his selfishness, or that he takes for granted that killua will do whatever he wants, but i digress) but killua gives regardless because what gon has given to killua means so much to him --freedom, his friendship, his company, his trust, and his open and verbal affection.
nanika, in turn, fulfills all of killua's wishes and asks only for his love in return -- that he hug her, pat her head, and tell her she's good. She never makes cruel demands after killua's wishes because he never makes self-interested wishes, he never makes her hurt anyone for him. even as a child, he treated nanika like just another little sister, asking her to play with him and to fulfill the kinds of wishes she likes to do, such as healing people/animals.
killua (for most of the series) and nanika don't really have concrete goals or objectives of their own beyond securing love and affection by being useful to their favorite person (codependency twins !)
of course, killua and nanika are both eventually betrayed and incredibly hurt by their person, because that's just how codependent relationships play out, especially among people as young and emotionally immature and traumatized as gon, killua, and nanika are.
all of this culminates in maybe my favorite scene of the series, where killua realizes that he's hurt nanika in a similar way that gon have very recently hurt him, and also that by shutting nanika away, he's really just repeating their parents' abuse of her. so he doesn't just apologize, but he demonstrates that he knows why what he did is wrong, and why he did it, and promises never to do it again.
i only wish we cold have seen gon's apology :/
#post inspired by me thinking about alluka actually. and how assertive/protective she is about nanika and killua#specifically the scenes 1. where she stands up to killua on nanika's behalf and 2. where she puts herself between#killua and tsubone and defends him. basically i love her and this character trait i think it really speaks to her personal strength that#being locked up and shut away for so long she still has the ability to do this. but also last night i read a fic where alluka holds a grudg#against gon on killuas behalf bc she thinks that both he and nanika are far too giving/forgiving. and i've been thinking about that#also the fact that i see people refer to nanika as basically codependency personified. which no offense but killua kind of is too.#anyways. this post is way too long thats what happens when i post from my laptop rather than mobile#hxh#killua zoldyck#hxh nanika

Sorry, a little rant
This is a tiny bit of a rant, but I struggle so hard to be cordial with other HxH fans or fans of media in general who constantly need a "moral" reason to dislike or like any characters.
I dislike Hisoka because his pedophilic nature makes me uncomfortable and on principle, I just don't like pedo characters. But sometimes I dislike characters for non-moral reasons. And I rarely like a character for moral reasons. And I don't always feel like needing to justify that.
But I would meet people who treat disliking a character as a performative way to brand themselves as a moral person. Not only do they need a moral reason, but they get so angry when other people like morally corrupt characters. They would vocalize and question the morality of a person just for liking villains. And the worst part about it is that they are so flaky and hypocritical about it. I have met a person who went out of their way to shit on me for liking the spiders because "They are mass murderers" but they seem to love Chimera Ants. As if they didn't kill a bunch of people... "Killing innocent people is wrong" except it's okay when Killua did it.
The "excuse" is that he is a child from an abusive household, but something tells me if Killua was introduced as an adult, you'd have a different excuse. Now I'm not saying liking Killua is bad, he's a well-written character, and I want him to grow up happy like the rest of ya. Obviously, the reason why you don't care that Killua killed those randos for nothing is because they are nameless randos. Had those two been a person that the viewer had time to care about, some of you might care. When you care about a character, if a character hurts them, you might hate that character. Likewise, when your favorite character hurt someone, out comes with all of the excuses. This is nothing new, every fandom is like this. I don't have an issue with people not liking the Spiders. (I only have a pet peeve when they do the blame game of blaming Chrollo for all of the Spider's crime but not the whole Spiders.) I get that most people who hate the spiders are a big Kurapika fan. I also like Kurapika a lot, but I also like Spiders a lot too. So I just choose to suffer. Likewise, if you project yourself onto characters, you are more likely to defend that character's actions. When you project a person you don't like onto a character, you are more likely to hate that character to an absurd degree. You're going to headcanon that character in the worst way possible, even if they aren't guilty of the thing you've projected them to be. I can't speak for everyone, but I like well-written villains, and I don't believe in justifying a villain's actions. I like to see a villain develop, and I like to see how the author handles the villain's downfall. I don't like characters to performatively display my moral standings. I don't want to argue with people about why it's okay for me to like villains. But a lot of people who love to show off how moral they are through the media they watch instead of like, ya know, donating to causes, working at facilities that aid the homeless, etc... (And yes, not to humble brag but I've done those things) Some of y'all can be so difficult to be cordial with. It's one thing if the person started to directly harass you first, but y'all don't need to constantly seek out people you don't like just to start an argument on the internet. Ignore the type of fans you don't like, not every disagreement has to be some dick-measuring moral competition. It would be healthier for your headspace too, constantly being angry isn't going to do you any good. Take care of your health.

I WAS SO SHOCKED AT THE BONOLENOV REVEAL BUT IT'S SO GOOD. Like we KNEW Bonolenov had some way to disguise himself and everyone IGNOREDDDD ITTTTT because we were like "oh but if that's not Hisoka, it has to be Chrollo right" NO. IT'S NOT THE FAN FAVE CHARACTER. SO FUNNY. I love it. I love Bonolenov now. His ability is really cool and I like the way he thinks. On the OTHER hand his KILLED LYNCH!!! Fuck!!! I liked her!!!
Honestly the part of this chapter that gets me the most though is Chrollo. Everyone in the troupe knows that Chrollo is just pretending to be okay! Everyone is trying to look out for him! He kept Pakunoda's spot open because of how much he cared for her... he's devastated by the deaths of Shalnark and Kortopi the same way he was devastated over Uvo... It's an interesting angle to take with Chrollo, to focus on how his troupe react to his grief and rage by trying to PROTECT him. Someone on twitter pointed out that this is the same thing Gon and Killua did for Kurapika! They didn't want Kurapika to kill more people during Yorknew!!! And while it's not EXACTLY the same with Chrollo, it's definitely notable that they want to kill Hisoka first specifically because they understand what Chrollo is going through, as opposed to letting him do it and purposefully pointing him towards it.
At this point I hope that Chrollo and Hisoka don't have a rematch. It would be better for Chrollo's character to lose that chance for revenge and have to face those feelings, though I'm not sure about what should happen with Hisoka.
And of course, Chrollo wants to find a "treasure" that can 100% kill Hisoka, and I wonder if that's connected to the succession war. I mean... it's gotta be, right?
#and at halkenburg's funeral procession everything will explode... morena says the end times are near and i believe her#well... it's still only been 11 days out of what. 40? so we'll see#hunter x hunter#hxh spoilers#hxh 405

Yoshihiro Togashi Handwritten Letter
Togashi sent a handwritten letter to the idol Yumiko Seki, answering 11 questions. The letter was read aloud in the Iwakura and Yoshizumi's Show, on TV Asahi, on November 14th and 21st, 2023.
There's already a translation of the Q&A by the hunter fandom (please read it), but I want to share my favorite parts and maybe some interesting info that was said during the TV program. You can watch the full version on bilibili. The whole film studio was decorated with Hunter x Hunter manuscripts and figures, and BGM from both versions of the anime was played during the broadcast.
The MCs of the show are two female comedians, Yoshizumi and Iwakura. The guests were Yumiko Seki (former Sakurazaka46); singer Toshiya Miyata (Kis-My-Ft2), a huge Hunter x Hunter fan; and the comedian Shintaro Morimoto (TONTSUKATAN) who read Togashi's letter and served as moderator.
At the beginning of the show, Seki-san revealed she met Togashi in a Sakurazaka46 live concert.
Everyone was shocked to learn she met him face-to-face!
Then, Seki-san showed an autographed shikishi Togashi-sensei gave her when she graduated from Sakurazaka46. (T/N: She announced her graduation on December 13, 2022, and graduated on April 30, 2023 at the Sakurazaka46 3rd TOUR 2023).
Killua: "Graduation is the starting line!!"
It's interesting to add that Killua is Seki's favorite character and orange & white were her penlight colors, also her favorite colors. That's why Togashi drew Killua holding a bouquet of orange and white flowers.
Miyata joked that he will make sure that everyone knows he loves Hunter x Hunter by the time he graduates from Kis-My-Ft2 boy band. Morimoto told him "don't graduate just to get a shikishi" (LOL).
By the way, Miyata loves Kurapika, so I hope Togashi gives him a Kurapika shikishi one day :P
Here's Togashi's huge letter!
Before reading sensei's answers, they anticipated the huge success of the show, and came up with the hashtag #冨樫先生からのお手紙 (letter from Togashi-sensei).
It was a success indeed, trending all over social media.
Then, Morimoto started to read the Q&A.
The second question was about the Hunter x Hunter character setting. Before reading the answer, they showed a Togashi's memo containing a detailed timeline of each character that he uses in order to develop the story without creating any contradictions. There's a timeline of the Chimera Ant Arc, and a table of the princes' entourage, allowing Togashi to distinguish them. He even drew characters that didn't appear.
Miyata left his seat and came closer to the monitor, so he could see the memo better. He's a crazy HxH stan just like us.
This material is actually from Jump Ryu's booklet (2016). You can also watch the Jump Ryu video with subs on YouTube, where Togashi explains better how this character table works.
Here's the part of the answer Togashi talks about Killua's inspirations. I am a huge fan of MDP Psycho!
The author of "Toy-y", Atsushi Kamijo, thanked Togashi on his Twitter. He also wrote that he loves Level-E.
When answering question 4, we found out Togashi-sensei watched Sakurazaka46 New Year's special feature in 2021, when Seki-san asked for the complete set of Hunter × Hunter.
youtube
But, because Togashi-sensei is such an introvert, he thought he would make her feel uncomfortable by actually sending it. It took him two years to finally decide to send it.
Miyata laughed so hard, saying: "Togashi-sensei is such an otaku!!" (LOL)
Seki-san confirmed Togashi really sent the Hunter × Hunter set to her ^^
The 5th question was about Togashi's favorite nen ability. Seki-san and Miyata also shared their favorite type of nen.
Seki-san loves Killua, thus she likes transmutation. She also likes Hisoka's analysis about nen, and thinks Killua fits his description about transmuters perfectly.
As for Miyata, he loves Kurapika, therefore he likes the conjurer type. He remembered that in order to conjurer chains, Kurapika had to imagine, touch, draw, and even licked real chains.
He was curious if Goreinu, a character that appears in Greed Island, had to do something similar and touch gorillas in order to be able to materialize them.
Miyata is a crazy HxH fan, he came up with many curious tidbits and did a deep analysis of the series. It's not confirmed in the manga or any databook if Goreinu is really a conjurer, but I really liked his point of view.
Question 7 about Meruem's final moments was really touching. After hearing Miyata's explanation about Meruem and Kogumi, Iwakura almost started crying.
Tears rolled down her cheeks when she saw the double spread of Meruem's final moments.
The funny thing is, at the beginning of the show, she told us she had only read the first chapter.
So, Morimoto joked: "Why did you have to stop at volume 1!!?" XD
Morimoto also revealed that Togashi-sensei's favorite scene is Meruem and Kogumi double spread.
Question 8, what does Togashi do on his days off? Morimoto asked Seki-san's opinion. She imagines Togashi having mandarin oranges on a kotatsu table, and talking to cats on the porch.
T/N: Eating oranges while sitting around a kotatsu table is a japanese tradition during the winter.
Togashi didn't mention anything like that in his answer, but there's an interview with Naoko Takeuchi (WITH magazine, May 2022) where she says, "We have been married for over 20 years. Although we have small fights sometimes, my husband is extremely kind and quiet, like a hermit (...) The house we have lived for 20 years is also a place of healing. Sometimes we have meals or tea in the garden". So, I can totally picture Togashi-sensei eating oranges in the winter and talking to cats.
Togashi-sensei stated he is the type of person who always has sound playing while he is working, just like Yoshizumi-san. She was happy she was acknowledged in his letter!
The question 9 was about manga that Togashi-sensei found interesting recently. Miyata remembered that Togashi had wrote a recommendation on the obi of Kimestu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) volume 4, praising the series. I had completely forgotten Togashi loves Demon Slayer!
In his letter, Togashi-sensei wrote he couldn't give the name of the series he's currently into, since he would get criticized. But he left some clues. Yoshimizu said the crazy amount of ッッッ (small tsu) used in his answer was maybe a keyword, and that the fans would probably figure it out. She had no idea what manga he was talking about, though.
Togashi-sensei also wrote this manga is a true story published in 2023. So, many fans came up with the Autobiography of Keisuke Itagaki (author of Grappler Baki): an autobiographical manga depicting the harsh life experienced by Keisuke Itagaki in the "JGSDF 1st Airborne Brigade" that consumed his youth!
I started reading it, and the author really loves to use "ッッッ" at the end of the sentences. I don't think it's the kind of content I would recommend to an idol like Seki-san. Anyway, I don't know whether that's the correct answer or not, but it seems so.
The manga that Togashi-sensei ended up recommending was "Oi! Tombo". It has been serialized in Weekly Golf Digest since 2014. An anime is also scheduled to premiere in 2024. I was happy to see that the Golf Digest X Account mentioned his letter!
Seki-san was introduced to an unexpected golf manga, but she immediately became interested, saying, "I really want to read it'' and "I want to buy it right away.'' I guess we all felt that way. I'm definitely watching the anime!
The 10th question was about the ending! The reaction of the guests and MCs when Morimoto read there's an Ending D in case Togashi-sensei dies was priceless.
Before Morimoto could read the "Ending D", Miyata recalled he went to watch the Hunter × Hunter movie "Phantom Rouge", and received a copy of Volume 0. He grabbed it, and showed the Q&A with Togashi-sensei, highlighting Question 4: What will end up happening to Kurapika and the Phantom Troupe? A: "They will all die."
He was really looking forward to knowing the ending of Hunter × Hunter, but not this one (LOL). Morimoto and Miyata were too nervous, they took a sip to calm down before reading the "Ending D Pattern".
The final question was about the amount of text in volume 37. Miyata commenting that his answer also had an incredible amount of text made me laugh so hard. It was a huge answer indeed.
Togashi's last words were:
"Words are da best!" (Words rule/Nothing can beat words/Only words wins/ whatever sounds better in english).
Everyone laughed so hard, because this is actually a slang used by young people or fandom to say someone or something is the best. He wrote the letter in polite japanese, it was fun he ended it with a slang. By the way, Togashi-sensei loves slang, specially fandom unique vocabulary, as he usually uses it Hunter x Hunter. He's a fan of Keyakizaka46/Sakurazaka46 after all.
Miyata was excited to hear that Togashi-sensei himself is "bugged", which makes him want to continue reading HxH even more. One thing that caught Miyata's attention during this final question was the part Togashi-sensei mentioned he needs to settle many issues during the voyage of the Black Whale ship. Actually, the word "settlement" (解決) captured the attention of many fans, as they posted a lot about that on social media.
Miyata thought about people on board the ship whose fates needs a resolution. He wondered if this was about Kurapika and The Phantom Troupe since the conditions to what Togashi-sensei said in volume 0 (everyone's gonna die) are right there to happen soon.
He showed his Volume 0 again. LOL, I hope Togashi-sensei was just joking.
Of course, let's not forget that are many other unfinished business that needs a solution in this arc, we have a whole succession to the throne war in motion. But, Miyata was really hyped about Kurapika and volume 0.
The show ended with a big thanks and bow to Togashi-sensei!
Miyata said he has been reading HxH for more than 20 years, since he was in elementary school. No matter how old he is, he still gets excited about it! He loves Hunter × Hunter!
Morimoto asked Seki-san to say some final words to Togashi-sensei. Besides showing all her love for Hunter × Hunter, Seki-san was really cute and asked Togashi-sensei to take really good care of his health!
That's it, sorry for being like Togashi-sensei and writing too much. Although my posts are more about Yu Yu Haksuho, I feel I needed to address his letter too. I didn't take the Ending D too serious, since it was discarded. However, I think it was a cute closing to HxH. Like Miyata-said, everything went back to the beginning, The Whale Island where it all started.
I just want Togashi-sensei to live long and write his favorite ending!
There were other interesting parts, like Seki-san telling Togashi-sensei to make a DVD BOX of the TV show. In the end, everyone wanted to make one ^^ (me too). It is a really precious letter. I hope Seki-san frames it and make an altar :P
Thank you very much, Togashi-sensei!

Kurapika’s crush is normally very sweet and maternal, sure, but there’s something about seeing her absolutely lose it on someone that does something to him. Especially if it’s on one or both of the kid’s’ behalves.
She’s got Gon and Killua pulled behind her as she’s glaring Hisoka or Illumi down, pointing a finger into his chest as she reams him out. She’s threatening to end his whole entire bloodline right then and there, and everyone can feel a menacing aura coming off of her. Who cares if they can kill her right then and there? NO ONE messes with her loved ones.
And then as soon as they leave it’s like a switch goes off and she’s back to her worried self, making sure the kids are okay, how she’ll always look out for them.
If Kurapika was crushing before, he’s completely head over heels now.
The four of you were at the park, waiting for Leorio to meet up with you so you could all visit an aquarium together.
As usual, Killua and Gon were chasing each other around, playing like kids do. You and Kurapika sat on a bench, chatting about how you’ve been doing.
He’d just returned for a mission, so after the aquarium he’d be crashing at your place, something that had become so common that Kurapika had his own room, decorated and everything.
Kurapika’s hand is on your thigh as you talk, something you had noticed, but hadn’t registered as anything other than a friendly touch. He’d built up a lot of courage to do that, so he’s glad you don’t instantly push him off.
As your attention was taken up by your cute friend, you hadn’t noticed that another person had walked up to Gon and Killua until you could feel his aura, even from 30 feet away.
“Kurapika, hold my purse.”
You plopped the bag into his lap and leaped up, storming over to the boys. The man blinks before following behind you, holding onto your purse as asked.
Hisoka, the bane of your existence, had approached your boys, looking them up and down with his creepy smile. Before Kurapika could stop you, you had pushed yourself in between them, pushing him back and pressing a finger into his chest.
“I swear to GOD if you don’t step off my kids I will end your fucking life right now. You look at them like that again and I will shove my foot so far up your ass you’ll be tasting my sneakers for the next two weeks, you fucking creep!”
You pushed his shoulders for good measure, the magician looking down at you with a smile that was a bit too excited for your tastes.
Kurapikas face heats up as you usher the two behind you, your eyes burning holes into the man. The two boys do as you say, Killua not wanting to make the situation any worse, and Gon knowing that arguing with you would only end in you actually fighting Hisoka.
“Oh (Name), what a pleasure. Are you here to fight me in their p-“
Hisoka isn’t able to finish his sentence, as Kurapika is standing right behind you, his eyes narrowing at Hisoka. The magician’s smile widens, but he backs off and is gone before you could blink.
“Ugh he gives me the creeps.”
(Name) turns to the two, crouching down and pulling them into a hug. “I’m so sorry I didn’t get there sooner, guys. If that freak even touches you, I’ll kill him, okay? Let’s go get some ice cream.”
The two boys are a bit confused, but follow behind you at the promise of ice cream. Kurapika watches you lead them out of the park, your eyes scanning the perimeter to make sure Hisoka wasn’t anywhere near.
He sent Leorio a quick text saying their meeting place was changing, trying to keep his thumping heart quiet. You were always so soft and kind, giving out affection easily, but when it came to the safety of Gon and Killua, you would turn into a rabid animal, and QUICK.
He was really beginning to fall in love with you.
When you all finally do get to the aquarium, he buys you several fish themed plushes.
“All for you, mama bear.”
The nickname sticks, and whenever your “Gon and Killua in danger” meters goes off, Kurapika cheers you on from close behind, only stepping in if he has to.
After all, he finds your more feisty side attractive, loving how protective you are. The way you hug and spoil the two boys makes him yearn for you more than before.
Part of him wants it to be him you’re fussing over, but another part of him just enjoys watching you be so motherly. It’s cute, so much so that he wants to hold you close and pepper your face in kisses and tell you how much of a sweetheart you are.
You’ll be a great mother to his children one day, he’s sure of it. He already wanted a big family, and now he’s planning on when to buy a house and get a ring on your finger.

Day 5-Masturbation-Hisoka/Kurapika
Notes: sometimes I'm literally so tired I actually can't write. So because i know myself very well i always prepare a few like almost finished or half finished stories on those days when starting something new is just too much. So that's another reason the list will switch around and shit like that
Also title is from 'Pork Soda' by Glass Animals(songs slaps listen to it while you read thissss)
...
Hisoka/Kurapika-Masturbation
Kurapika feels numb. It's lovely to see his friends again, but as he explains his powers to them, he can't ignore the empty hole in his chest. He feels directionless, floundering in a sea of people who seem to know exactly what they're doing. He used to be just like them.
Killua interrupts his explanation of his powers, standing abruptly.
“Why would you tell us something so damn important!” He exclaims, his hands balled into fists in his sides. Kurapika looks down.
“I'm not sure,” He says, looking away. “Maybe to distract myself from the fact that their leader is dead and gone, now.”
Leorio shrugs. “It'll be fine if we keep his powers quiet,” He says, confusion in his voice.
“No, it won't,” Killua replies, clenching and unclenching his fists by his sides. “They have a mind reader, remember? And if we get caught again, they'll definitely find out about Kurapika.”
“But,” Gon chimes in, “they didn't find anything last time.”
“Yeah,” Killua sighs, “because we didn't know. I only put two and two together a little later. If we end up near them again, it's over.”
“Well just keep our distance then,” Leorio says, his tone so casual compared to Killua's panicked voice. “You, and everyone else who knows Kurapika’s the chain user!”
Leorio's solution is so simple, so casual, it almost makes Kurapika laugh. Gon and Leorio really are quite similar in their simple mindedness. It makes him smile, in spite of things. The yellow wallpaper, the comfy cafe, his friends, Kurapika is slowly relaxing, letting his muscles sink into the cushions of the comfy couch.
“Who knows you're the chain user anyway?” Leorio asks him. “It can't be that many people, right?”
Kurapika thinks, making a mental list.
“Well, my coworkers have seen the chains, but I don't think they would make the link if they were interrogated,” Kurapika says, counting off on his fingers. “And then my old mentor, but I doubt the phantom troupe would ever run into him.”
Leorio smiles. “So, you're pretty good right?” He asks. “Is that everyone, besides us I mean?”
Kurapika pauses, hands sinking into his lap. Hisoka knows, of course. Hisoka knows too much and at the same time nothing at all. But he doesn't know if he should tell them. How would they react, to the bare facts, or to the way Kurapika finds himself considering Hisoka sometimes. Kurapika shakes his head. He can tell them the barest of the facts.
“Well,” he starts. They turn to him, sensing the slight apprehension in his tone as he shoulders on. “I have been in contact with Hisoka.”
“What?” Leorio grunts in surprise.
“Hisoka?” Killua and Gon say in unison, surprise and worry in their voices. Kurapika nods.
“We formed a partnership of sorts,” He says, sinking back into the cushions and clasping his hands in his lap. “But with his target, the leader of the phantom troupe dead, I don't know what he'll do.”
“And he knows you're the chain user?” Killua asks. He looks the least surprised out of all of them. Leorio and Gon are still picking their jaws up off the floor. Kurapika nods.
“Yes, of course.” He says.
“Did you guys fight?” Leorio asks, apprehensive. “I mean, like did he seem interested in them at all?”
Kurapika thinks back to that night, hot eyes and seductive smirks, and sighs.
“No, not really,” He says. “He said i wasn't ready to fight.”
“He's so powerful,” Gon says, eyes trembling with an odd type of excitement. Kurapika knows that feeling, or maybe an older, more dangerous version of it. Leorio laughs.
“Yeah,” He says. “I never want to fight him.”
Killua doesn't laugh or smile, but stares at Kurapika instead, eyes peering too deeply into his soul. Kurapika looks away,
“You're not telling us something,” Killua says, still standing. His hands have relaxed from their tight fists and rest casually in his pockets. Gon and Leorio turn to Kurapika expectantly, distracted from their Hisoka talk. Kurapika frowns.
“What do you mean?” He asks, hoping to dodge the subject. He really doesn't want to lie to his friends.
Killua just looks at him, eyes searching. “What exactly was the contents of this deal anyway?” He asks, plopping back down onto the couch. Some of the tension in the air releases.
Kurapika smooths his expression to be as neutral as possible, and responds. “A trade of information” He says. The room sinks into silence for a moment. Killua eyes him, curious. Gon and Leorio just look back and forth, confused.
“That makes sense,” Leorio says. “Hisoka's pretty weird so this deal actually sounds pretty plausible.”
Gon nods. “Didn't he take a liking to you at the hunter's exam?” He says. “That's probably why he offered to help.”
Killua just frowns. “You're not lying, but there's something in the way you refer to him that's changed,” Killua says, hands knotting in the fabric of his hoodie as he continues. “It's a certain tone. I've never heard it from you before, I don't get it.”
Leorio just looks confused. “Tone?” He asks, “I don't hear anything.”
“Of course, you don’t,” Killua smirks, and Leorio balks, offended. “I've only ever heard it a couple times anyway. I guess it doesn't matter.”
Kurapika sinks onto the couch in slight relief. He doesn't want to think about the implications of what Killua is talking about. No normal person could ever hear something that slight, but Killua was no normal person. Kurapika cursed himself and his betraying mind and sighed.
“Well, what are you going to do now?” Leorio is the one that asks it, interrupting Kurapikas slight shame spiral. Kurapika closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.
“I'm not sure,” He says, “I could—”
The loud ring of a phone cuts him off. It's his phone. Kurapika grabs it from his pocket and as his eyes catch on the screen name, his heart stops.
“It's Hisoka,” he says, his voice breathless with anticipation and fear. The others freeze.
The phone rings in the silence for a moment before Leorio speaks.
“Answer it,” He says. Kurapika nods, bringing the phone up to his ear and answering.
“Yes?” He says. Hisoka chuckles.
“Hello to you too,” He coos through the phone. Kurpika shifts on the couch.
“Why are you calling me?” He asks, trying to be as clinical as possible. The others are staring at him, eyes locked on the cell phone resting against his ear.
“Aw, getting straight to the point?” Hisoka asks, “But I do so adore our playful banter.”
Kurapika almost rolls his eyes into the back of his skull, the other hand clenching in the fabric of his tunic as he remains silent. Hisoka chuckles.
“I have some interesting information for you,” He says.
Kurapika can hear running water through the phone, and what sounds like music playing faintly in the background. He must be at home, wherever the hell that is.
“What?” Kurapika asks, trying to squish down his anxiety. That can't be good. Hisoka chuckles.
“I was going to tell you over the phone,” He muses, “but I don't like that attitude. I'll meet you in a couple minutes.”
Kurapika startles. “What?” He asks, “Do you even know where I am?”
“Of course,” Hisoka says. Kurapika can hear the smirk in his voice.
“How did you—” Kurapika starts, then pauses. That's not important. “First of all, why—”
“See you soon~” Hisoka hangs up with a beep.
Kurapika almost throws his phone across the room. The others are staring at him.
“So?” Leorio asks. “What was all that about?”
Kurapika rubs his eyes tiredly and slips his cell phone into his pocket.
“I suppose we'll all find out in a couple minutes.” He sighs. Gon and Leorio look at him, and then at each other, confusion watches across their faces. Killua stares in shock.
“He's coming here?” He asks. Kurapika nods.
“What?” Gon asks, as Leorio says, “Why?”
Kurapika just sighs. “How the fuck would I know?”
♥♥♥
Hisoka's arrival is heralded by the high pitched giggling of the pretty cafe worker at the front desk. They all turn in slow motion to stare, as a familiar red headed figure leans over the small desk, drawing a strand of the waitresses black hair between his fingers. He's dressed very unfamiliarly, in what looks like a black velvet tracksuit with a large heart on the back. His hair is down.
“I'm working, sir.” The waitress giggles, in a voice that sounds like she really wishes she wasn't. Hisoka chuckles, and they all watch in shock as he leans down, pressing a kiss the the strands of hair in his pale hands.
“How unfortunate,” Hisoka says, hand dropping her hair to caress her cheek. “I guess we just aren't meant to be~”
Kurapika rolls his eyes again. So fucking dramatic. His chest feels weird. Leorio seethes beside him.
“What?” He hisses. “She wasn't into me at all!”
Gon rifles a giggle, and Killua smirks. Hisoka spins, dropping the waitress's face like a hot stone at their voices.
“Ah, there you are.” His eyes find Kurapikas, pinning him to the spot. “I shall bid you farewell, my dear.”
This last bit is directed at the waitress, who nods dreamily. “Yes, mister,” she says. Hisoka strolls over in their direction, and Kurapika notices his face. The symbols that adorn his face are absent. With his face blank and his hair down, he really does just look like a normal guy. Well, an abnormally attractive man, but a man who you're more likely to see on the street. Kurapika shakes his head. No, not handsome. Fuck. Handsome in a perfectly detached, cold, clinical kind of way. Obviously.
“Well, what a surprise,” Hisoka says, standing over them somewhat menacingly. “I wasn't expecting to see you here.”
The others remain still, maybe stunned into silence. Kurapika sighs.
“Sit down and stop looming over us.” He says. Hisoka smirks.
“But where?” he asks, gesturing with clawed fingers. “All the spots are taken.”
Kurapika looks around. Indeed, they are. With slight apprehension and a lot of resignation, he scoots away from Leorio and towards the end of the sofa. Hisoka chuckles and settles himself down between Kurapika and Leorio. He's wearing tennis shoes for once.
“Well, ain't this just lovely?” He asks, and Kurapika watches as he produces a card from somewhere, spinning it on the tip of his finger.
“It's a bit tight,” Leorio grumbles. Hisoka just chuckles.
It is a bit tight. Kurapikas thigh is pressed up against Hisoka's back clothed one. A surprising amount of heat leaks off the magician's body.
“Why are you dressed all normal?” Gon questions. Hisoka laughs.
“It's my day off.” He explains, swinging the card from his finger. The three of hearts swing mesmerizingly as he continues. “And anyway, I was going to take a shower.”
“You take showers?” Leorio mumbles.
“How rude!” Hisoka grumbles. “I am mostly human, you know. You really should take some notes though. And lighten up with the ax body spray.”
“Mostly?” Killua murmurs, but Leorio is too mad at the dig to notice.
“I shower plenty!” He exclaims. “And why were you all over that pretty waitress anyway!”
“Hmm, was she not into you?” Hisoka coos, and Leorio bristles.
“She wasn't like not, not into me…” He grumbles. Hisoka smiles sympathetically.
Leorio looks so mad Kurapika would expect steam to start leaking out of his ears at any moment now.
“ I thought you were only into powerful people anyway!” Leorio grumbles, crossing his arms across his chest.
“What are you talking about?” Hisoka says, raising an eyebrow. Kurapika frowns, trying not to look curious. He really doesn't want to dig deeper into that, and thankfully he doesn't have to. Sometimes it's nice to have stupid friends.
“You're always going on and on about potential,” Leorio says, still glaring into the ground. Killua and Gon humm in agreement.
“Yeah, you seem pretty into power,” Killau says, crossing his legs.
Gon nods, kicking his legs on the edge of the couch as he speaks. “I thought you only had crushes on people who were really powerful.”
Hisoka laughs. “A crush.” He says, running a hand through his hair. “How cute.”
Silence falls. Kurapika waits for him to continue, to say anything. But all Hisoka does is sit very still, smiling slightly. The silence feels oppressive.
“Care to elaborate?” Kurapika says, finally breaking the silence. He can't take it. He's curious for some reason.
“Wouldn't you like that,” Hisoka says, waving a hand vaguely in the air. Kurapika scoffs.
“Not really,” he mutters, rolling his eyes. Hisoka looks at him curiously.
“What's got you so upset?” he asks, raising a thin eyebrow. Leorio and Gon nod emphatically. Kurapika can feel Killua’s piercing eyes staring him down from the couch. He tries to hide the resentment in his voice.
“Nothing.” He says, controlling his face. No one believes him. He speaks again, trying to shift the room's attention back onto Hisoka. “Do elaborate, Hisoka.”
Hisoka looks at him for a moment, face blank, yellow eyes peering into his soul, and decides to take pity on him.
“Different types of interest.” He says simply, crossing one leg over the other.
“Isn't there only one type of interest?” Gon asks, big eyes wide in confusion. Killua looks equally as confused, and both of them trade looks of confusion. Leorio shakes his head.
“No, I think we’ve interrogated Hisoka enough.” He says, hitting Hisoka roughly on the shoulder. Trying to wrap up the conversation because they have to explain the birds and the bees to two very confused 13 year olds. And Kurapika can't think of a worse group to explain such a delicate subject. He didn't have enough experience and based on Leorios, just, energy he probably had even less. And Hisoka. Oh god, Hisoka. That man had probably what could be considered too much experience. Kurapika sighs, reeling in his misplaced annoyance and valiantly tries to change the conversation.
“Hisoka, what did you want to tell me?” Kurapika says calmly.
“Ah, yes.” Hisoka turns in his direction. They're a bit close. Kurapika controls his breathing.
“You saw the corpses of the phantom troupe members correct?” He asks. Kurapika nods. The images are flashing through his mind, the bent, broken bodies of his enemies. The enemies he had vowed to defeat. He blinks the anger away, and responds.
“Yes?” He says. Hisoka smiles, lips curving upwards into a cruelly tender smile.
“They were fake.”
The air goes still. Everyone has frozen around them, and all Kurapika sees before him is Hisoka. Yellow, cat-like eyes, pale skin, full lips. All he can hear is his own breathing, the intense beating of his heart. The world had come to an abrupt stop, a faint ringing in his ears becoming louder and louder. Hisoka's eyes are locked on his face, those yellow irises almost completely covered in the endless black of his pupils. Kurapika feels himself being dragged into the darkness. Images are spilling unbidden into his mind, tangled messes of the ‘corpses’ and then a hazy memory of his dreams, and then he was pulled to the present by a card falling gently into his lap.
Hisoka looks down, and the card flies away from Kurapika and back into Hisoka's clawed hands. He smiles, ful lips carving too alluringly for Kurapikas liking. He shakes himself out of his daze.
“What?” He says. His voice is too breathless, but he can't bring himself to care. “Fake? You mean they're still alive?”
Hisoka smiles. “Correct.” He says, turning away from Kurapika. It allows him to breathe. In, and out. In and out. They're alive.
“You're simply giving me this information?” He asks. His voice is full of way too much emotion for him to be comfortable, but he can't control it as he continues. “Why?”
The air holds its breath. Everyone around him is tense, but all Kurapika can feel is his heart beating in his chest. All he can see is Hisoka’s profile. He's staring into the distance, absentmindedly flipping his card, around and around. Sharp nose, long bright hair gently covering his eyes, shading the top of his face from view. Hisoka doesn't often make expressions. The only expressions Kurapika has ever seen on him are mild interest and slight annoyance. But right now, his face is blank. Startalightly, strikingly, blank. It unnerves him.
“Hmm,” Hisoka hums. “Who knows.”
The air falls, as chaos breaks out.
“What?” Leorio shouts again, and Gon and Killua both speak at the same time. Kurapika's heart is still pounding in his chest. Hisoka simply ignores the chaos, rising to his feet and sauntering around the coffee table between the two tables and towards the door.
“Where are you going?” Kurapika asks as the others join in the hubbub. Hisoka laughs.
It happens so suddenly. Hisoka is in his view, and then he's gone, and Kurapika can feel breath on his neck and a card tracing the outline of his jawline. Hisoka's breath tickles his ear, as he whispers.
“You owe me.” He says. And then he's gone as fast as he had come. The bell on the door tinkles and all Kurapika is left with is the lingering breath on his cheek and the information weighing on his heart.
The others stare after him in shock. Leorio directed his gaze at where Hisoka had been. Gon and Killua simply look confused. Killua is the first one to speak.
“He's acting odd,” he says, settling back into the cushions with a sigh. “But I guess he's being helpful.”
Leorio shrugs. “He's always odd,” He says. But Kurapika can hear something in his voice. Leorio is older than the boys across from them, with the life experience to clock Kurapikas growing feeling of restlessness. He really, really doesn't want to admit something he already knows is true. Kurapika sighs, and simply prays he won't say anything. The boys wouldn't understand.
Thankfully, Leorio just sighs.
♥♥♥
His mostly empty hotel room greets him as he closes the door behind him with a slam. Kurapika sighs, sinking onto his bed with a thump. He feels so tired, and yet at the same time, energized.
The phantom troupe is alive. Kurapika jumps up, pacing circles around his drap tan hotel room actively. Of course, a skilled conjuror could have pulled that off easily. Kurapika sighs, stopping dead in the middle of his hotel room.
He should have guessed that. He should have factored that into his calculations, anything. He should have known. Damn it.
Kurapika resists the urge to hit something, instead deciding on the much more acceptable option of a nice bath.
He saw the hotel had some complimentary bath bombs, he could order some fuite from room service. Yeah, a bath was a good idea.
Kurapika sheds his blue outer tunic thing(a/n i never write these but i dont know what to call what he wears?? whatever), tossing it onto the untouched bed with a flop. He lets his chains vanish, taking deep breaths to will away the tension of today.
He was worked up, sure, but there was something else niggling at the back of his mind. Something more embarrassing. Hisoka. He was just sitting there in the beach of Kurapika’s mind like an annoying roommate who refused to pay rent and refused to leave and was constantly distracting him with unwarranted sex appeal and—
Kurapika’s spiraling thoughts are interrupted by room service, with his fruit. He takes it, tipping them extra for interrupting his sexuality crisis, and starts the bath water with a deep sigh.
Hisoka is an enigma. He seems to be a being driven purely by instinct, but at the same time, it's clear he's extremely intelligent. His abilities aren't overpowered or world-ending, but every single fight he engages in he walks away from the winner. Kurapika knows that even with his powerful abilities, Hisoka would still find a way to win. Somehow, he would factor in a way to escape mostly unharmed and all the better off and Kurapika almost hated—
This time his ranting is interrupted by his phone ringing. Kurapika grabs it, hand stilling when he notices the number.
Hisoka, again. For a moment, Kurapika doesn't answer. He's almost apprehensive to answer. But shoving aside his silly sexuality crisis, Kurapika answers. It could be something important.
“Yes?” Kurapika says.
“Hey~”
Silence falls. Faintly, through the phone Kurapika can hear the sounds of running water, and the faint sounds of Jazz music. He thinks he can hear a woman's voice speaking, but he's probably just hallucinating.
“Why did you call me?” Kurapika asks, switching off the bath tap, and dropping a bath bomb into it. He watches the pink foam fuzz across the surface of the water as he waits for Hisoka to speak.
“There was something I forgot to mention,” Hisoka says, and Kurapika is sure he hears a woman's voice in the background. She sounds so sensual. Kurapika rolls his eyes.
“You sure you should be calling me now?” He asks.
“What?” Hisoka replies, sounding genuinely confused. Kurapika would applaud himself for pulling an actual emotion out of Hisoka but he's too busy being impulsive.
“What about your lady friend,” Kurapika says, trying to sound aloof and worried about important things as he continues. “I wouldn't want to ruin your date.”
Silence falls for a moment, and Kurapika watches the bath bomb dissolve in the water again, the pink bubbles forming swirls that remind him of the clown's hair. Finally, Hisoka speaks.
“My date, yes with the lovely woman who runs the heavens arena fights,” He chuckles, and Kurapika suddenly feels very stupid as he continues, “you should figure out that crisis of yours.”
“I don't know what you're talking about.” Kurapika says, sounding too impulsive even for his liking.
He knows what crisis. He's not going to admit it though, he can be just as stubborn as Gon if he wants to be.
“Mhm,” Hisoka hums, and Kurapika thinks he hears the rusting of clothes.
“What are you doing?” He asks, in spite of himself. Hisoka chuckles.
“Showering,” He says. “Anyway I forgot to let you know that they know about you.”
Kurapikas blood runs cold. But not cold enough to distract him from the sudden images of Hisoka stripping that just ran though his mind.
“How much do they know?”
“Don't get all worked up.” Hisoka chuckles, “They call you the chain user.”
Kurapika hears a door slam. The sound of running water is louder now.
“That's all?” He asks, double checking the temperature of his own bath. It's still a bit hot.
“Mhm,” Hisoka hums. “They don't know gender, appearance, or about your little crisis. They don't know much, really.”
“There's no crisis,” Kurapika grumbles, taking off his earrings and setting them on the bathroom countertop. It's odd to have such a casual conversation with Hisoka of all people. The others would probably stare at him like he'd grown a second head. Hisoka chuckles.
“If only we were staying closer,” he hums, letting the sentence trail off. Kurapika coughs, pulling his linen undershirt over his head. Hisoka chuckles.
“I'll be in contact,” he says, and before Kurapika can protest he hangs up.
Sighing, Kurapika sheds the rest of his underclothes, and slips into his warm bath. It's lovely, and for a moment as the warmth sinks into his bones, Kurapika feels peace. And then his brain starts running.
He isn't having a crisis. Hisoka is just saying things, he's just saying the weird shit he usually does.
Kurapika sinks into the warm water, closing his eyes against the harsh lights of the ceiling. What had the point of that call been again? Right, they knew about him. The way Hisoka had said it sounded like they didn't know much, but it was still nice to know.
The sound of running water in the background of the call had been kind of distracting, but Kurapika had been able to sort the important information out of the noise.
Kurapika wondered where he was staying. Maybe they were close. Kurapika closes his eyes feeling a bit drowsy and pliant. The warmth of the bath soaks into his bones, steam filling the small bathroom, fogging up the mirror. Hisoka must be at a different hotel, the one he was staying at didnt have a separate shower.
Kurapika could picture it, almost too clearly.
In the fogged-up bathroom, a tall figure behind the shower curtain. Pale hands running shampoo through fire-red hair. Eyes closed, head tilted up against the water flow.
Kurapikas imagination traces the rivers of shampoo water as they trace down his neck, around the prominent Adam's apple.
Kurapika stirs uncomfortably, shifting in the bath as the heat begins to fill his gut. The sickening smell of the bath bomb smells familiar.
The fog of heat obscures his eyes, making them hazy as they follow the rivulets of water. The water runs down his chest, catching in the pools of his collarbones. Kurapika feels the urge to lick them away.
His dick twitches against his thigh. Kurapika ignores it, trying to shake the startlingly clear image of Hisoka in his mind.
Kurapika brings a hand up through the bath bomb bubbles and covers his eyes. He feels hazy, his body trembling with desire. How had it come to this, truly.
Images are eating at his mind again. Hisoka, dancing gracefully among the strikes of his enemies. Every movement he makes is graceful, like a dancer performing for an audience. Kurapikas delusional mind feeds him the lie that he performs for him alone.
Kurapikas hand, the one not covering his eyes, strokes circles into his thighs, trying to relax. All this succeeded in doing it, filling his mind with more delusions.
Hisoka's hands are clawed. They would probably draw blood if he pressed too hard. Kurapika muffles a groan into his hand, letting his hand finally grip his hardness gently.
He feels like his sanity is gradually slipping away. Might as well fall with it.
In his mind's eye, he can picture him. Collar Bones are visible in the tracksuit he wears. He's laughing at him.
“You're desperate, aren't you?” The Hisoka in his mind coos, one of those clawed hands digging into Kurapika’s thigh.
Kurapika groans, free hand gripping at the porcelain side of the bathtub. He's losing his mind. He cups his hardness loosely in his palm, stroking slowly, working himself up more.
“I can see how much you want me,” Hisoka grins, hand dancing around his hard dick, gripping it gently.
Kurapika groans. “Fuck you.”
Hisoka’s mouth forms into a smirk, his tracksuit gone. Kurapika gets hazy eyefulls of pale skin and muscles. He groans.
“You should admit it,” Hisoka coos, hand jerking Kurapika off slowly, tortuously. “You want to be a good boy, right?”
Kurapika groans, stuffing a hand over his mouth to muffle his obvious sounds of pleasure. He speeds up his pace, clenching his dick harder in his hand.
“I hate you,” Kurapika groans, body twitching as Hisoka plays him like a fine instrument. Hisoka laughs mockingly.
“Aww, don't lie.” He says, one hand winding up Kurapikas chest to pinch a nipple harshly. Kurapika groans, back arching as rivulets of pink bath bubbles tumble around him.
“I'm not a liar,” Kurapika protests, body twitching with desire. He is a liar, and Hisoka knows it.
“Liars don't get fucked,” Hisoka coos, twisting Kurapikas nipples in punishment. Kurapika bites his lip soaked strands of blond hair sticking to his forehead.
He's going to cum soon, and faintly he hopes the hotel has soundproof walls as both hands are occupied now, one on his poor dick and the other on his hard nipples.
“Fine, you win.” Kurapika moans, his hands reaching into the air. He wants to grip Hisoka’s pale skin but finds him just out of reach.
“Aww, that's not enough now.” Hisoka coos, hands driving him closer and closer to orgasm. Kurapika is almost at the edge. He would do anything for it, anything for him.
“Beg for me,” Hisoka coos. Kurapika doesn't even hesitate.
“God I want you so bad,” He groans, back arching and Hisoka grins down at him. “I am desperate. Desperate for you.”
“For who?” He asks, yellow eyes hazy in the bathroom lights.
“Hisoka!” Kurapika says, orgasms overwhelming him at the words. Hisoka smirks, melting into the hazy fog of the hotel bathroom—
When Kurapika is down, when he climbs shakily out of the bathtub with a small sense of shame following him every step, it really settles in how he's screwed.
Maybe taking this deal was a terrible idea.
...

hiii hina <333 ok so now i must know, what are some of your favourite character designs? like, the elements are so compelling and go so well together to form a design that is cohesive and visually appealing. and is there a particular piece of media that just has consistently banging character designs?
OOH OKKOKOK listen. i am no expert i have not been classically trained in fact i have not taken a single char design course but to me, good character design boils down to 2 main elements: a. recognizability and b. visual storytelling and the concept of show, don’t tell. recognizability is where more technical elements like shape language and silhouette come into play. u want an audience to be able to instantly know a character with minimal confusion, and that is made much easier if u have good working knowledge of shapes, colours, and proportions. That’s what /makes/ a good design, but what /SELLS/ that design is the underlying meaning. WHy do characters look the way they do. what can you learn from the way they look. there is undoubtedly a time and a place for designs that are just cute to be cute but if u want to make a lasting impression beyond “oh this character is hot/cute/attractive” u gotta dig deeper.
i am going to yap now smile
i wld b remiss and a liar and a fraud if i did not talk about arcane in regards to character design. fr me arcane is THE media that does not miss with a single one of their designs. this show is fucking stunning points at every character . every single one of them . hand in marriage. u learn SO much about everyone and their roles/personalities/fighting styles just by looking at them not to mention they’re all fucking 10s this show is a bisexual’s nightmARE anyway personal favourites vi and jinx but ths just me being predictable
vi /looks/ like a fighter the minute u see her. her build her gait everything about her screams this woman will snap me like a twig (pLpslslplpslpslpspl). u see tht she’s rough and brash but one thing i rly find interesting is her hair colour. like fr one its brightness distinguishes her as a main character, but also pink being typically associated with femininity/love/nurture/compassion is SO interesting paired with vi. not only is it kind of subversive bc vi is not traditionally “feminine”, but she does embody all of those traits in that her reason for fighting comes from a place of wanting to nurture and protect. i could talk for hours about vi anyway. hand in marriage,,./.?? hand in marriage pls/?????????
jinx i LOVE I LOVE I LOVE . she’s wiry she’s chaotic she’s asymmetrical and that MEANS something it /shows/ her mental state n the way she fluctuates between her identities of jinx and powder. I love the hints of pink/purple not only as visual nods to vi but also as alluding to shimmer and the dangerous undercurrent it gives her. not 2 mention her design works so well alongside her sister like. besides the obvious pink/blue juxtaposition everything about them from their body types their colour schemes the way they carry themselves the way they dress… it’s peak . nothing tops arcane in character design for me
a few other noteworthy mentions:
illumi hxh - listen idk what the fuck he’s wearing but it’s a 90s shounen i’ll forgive him. illumi’s design is brilliant imo. he’s not in your face like hisoka who u see and know immediately that this guy is insane, he’s beautiful but sleek in a way that makes him almost reptilian. it’s a subtle kind of off-putting and u want to recoil when u see him but it’s just understated enough that u don’t know Why until it’s too late. the wide, catlike dead eyes the jet black hair… his design lends SO well to what he represents for killua, he’s this ever-present shadow he’s an oppressive force we see phantoms of illumi’s eyes Boring into killua we see his hair forming a sort of cage god the visuals the visuals im so . im unwell about the zoldyks actually.
kaneki tg - this one is a bit tricky bc at first glance kaneki /is/ just ur standard dark hair protag but!! the way his design and specifically his hair r used as a visual representation of his mental state and character arc is so good i lovelovelove the progression and storytelling u see through his design alone.
- early kaneki w his shorter plain black hair makes him look innocent and unassuming bc he /is/. he was no one special, what happened to him was just pure bad luck. - ghoul kaneki w white hair showing the mental break after he’s tortured, stripped of his innocence/sanity/humanity - HAISE MY LOVE the two-toned hair showcasing how he has literally become a blank slate after his amnesia and the events of tg and the resulting limbo between identities ((also idk if it’s just tht ishida’s style had changed by :re but haise’s hair in particular is so FLUFFY it makes him look very non-threatening which might be a coincedence but might also be intentional in showing how he’s taken on more of a gentle mentor role by this point)) - reaper kaneki and we r once again back to black but whereas before it made him look plain and unassuming with the new context it makes him look /lethal/. ((also directly contrasts arima's design, having a near identical silhouette with the only difference being his black to arima's white)) - endgame kaneki finally settling back on white as a way to show tht after everything he’s been through he’s come back permanently changed: he is a ghoul, he’ll never b able to go back to the way things were or reclaim his humanity, but he’s gotten to a place where he's at peace with it now tl;dr cataloguing a character’s journey and mental state through their appearance >>>>>>>
LAST THING IK IVE YAPPED SO MUCH GOMEN ,, i did want to tack on my feelings about, wouldn’t u know it, genshin fucking impact, bc i did say i think there is a place for character designs that r just pretty to be pretty and i think a lot of genshin designs r good examples of this. i’ve seen some people getting upset about genshin being lazy with character design and making their characters unnecessarily Busy, but as someone who doesn’t play and doesn’t know anything about the game let me just say tht if the goal is to get players to spend money fuckin congratulations . i too would whale for some of these designs. bc i don’t play i don’t know for sure whether or not characters' appearances have any relevance to their lore or if it’s mostly just bells and whistles purely for aesthetic, all i know is am not immune to alhaitham.
#kikuism#answered#WROTE A NOVEL GHDSGKKJS#get me talking about arcane n i cannot be held responsible for the word count

having concluded the hxh phantom troupe arc: it's so fucking good, i loved it so much. this arc is probably my favorite anime now, beating dorohedoro. as i said elsewhere:
there's no way whatever a chimera ant is can be better than this.
the layers of conflict btwn the mafia community, the Nostrade household within it, Kurapika in that, the Phantom Troupe (i only just realized that they originally put the eyes on the market lmao, as they probably did with much on the auction!), Hisoka in the Troupe, the Zoldyck family, Killua and Gon - tremenduous, intricate plotting. love the uneasy alliances and strange sympathies. as i said in the above conversation w a friend: i loved artemis fowl as a kid, this hxh arc would have cracked open my third eye in middle school
i think my favorite Troupe member is Pakunoda. if i'd watched this as a kid, im 95% sure that she is the one i would have imprinted on, not Chrollo or Kurapika (maybe Killua or Feitan for the cynicism - tho i was always more of a girl liker). bc i am like that i was constantly on the lookout for misogyny around her and the female members in general and like, i think it's fine. you could spin it out where her power is passive (except then!!! with the bullets!!!!), and she is sentimental abt Chrollo, and it does end the way it does for her ofc. but i think that is not a fair way of looking at her in terms of "is this show sexist" bc she is a pov character and representative of the troupe and their feelings as a whole, and obviously she does much of the overt on-screen physical violence. anyway rip to Paku, i could have saved her
i think i want to rewatch these eps sometime when i'm done with the whole show, i feel like it isn't super settled in my brain yet - i struggle to articulate much outside :O!!!. and i am cautiously excited about what comes next. i feel like this will stay my fave arc, but i watched an ep yesterday w a friend - they said they were fine w watching ep 50+ from a show theyd never seen bc they had osmotized much of it, and "of course know about the cheetah bug guy whom everyone loves". and what is up with that.

May I request hcs of plat!yan!killua with a sibling!darling his age that has a kiddy/puppy crush on leorio? Srry if it's weird, for some reason I just find a newer younger member of the friend group getting a really obvious and cute kid crush on leorio really cute and sweetly funny XD
This is...a little delirious and rambling, but I hope you enjoy it regardless!
You were painfully obvious about your dumb little crush, it was a miracle Leorio was unaware of it. Gon, Killua could understand being so dense to it, the unofficial-fae child was really only focused on protecting his friends, finding his dad, and protecting others, so it was entirely believable that he'd bring you into the group and proceed to miss the neon sign of puppy love that flashed above your head whenever Leorio was around. Leorio though, was a medical student with more than enough experience with people. How he missed it, the Zoldyck had no clue.
Though, he might be more aware then he seems. The snow-haired kid mused one night as the five of you camped out on some hunter job and he watched you stare up at the lanky doctor-to-be with stars in your eyes. Maybe he's just playing oblivious to spare their feelings. I guess that's easier than outright rejecting them. As Killua thought that, he drew in the dirt with a stick. Continuing along on his ambling train of thought, Though...in some fucked up off chance he ISN'T letting them down easy, I wonder how he'd handle a confession. They're too young to morally accept anything, so would he nip it in the bud? He paused at that, staring down at the senseless doodle he'd made in the dirt for a moment before asking himself, Wait, why would I care? I barely know this kid, I don't give a shit about them. Is it because Gon likes them so much? He likes just about everyone that isn't Hisoka...
Once again, the white-haired assassin glanced up at you and his friend. Watching the way Leorio told you the tales of their hunter exams with animated movements and funny imitations. And Killua just couldn't place why he was sitting there mulling over what he'd do in response to whatever choice Leorio made. The doctor-to-be truly didn't seem to return your feelings in the slightest, he just seemed unaware. Yet, Killua couldn't help but hear that dark, protective, brotherly voice in the back of his head still whisper, Though...if he DID somehow hurt them or take advantage of them. They'd never find his fucking body.

Hello....Do you mind if I ask, cause you also love HxH. Your top 5 (or top 3) fav JJK characters will be besties with who (in your opinions) if they were in other universe, with your top fav characters from HxH? Hope my questions are not confusing. Thanks if you want to answer....
Well this isn't exactly what you asked for but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway XD Thank you for this ask <3
When I started to think about this, my brain went places. Not all of these are my favs, some of these characters I dislike but the headcanons kept coming.
Yuuji would befriend 3 out of the main 4 of HxH easily. He’d be into Gon’s Jajanken, Gon’d love to know about the Black Flash. Gon’d drag Yuuji on adventures, because Yuuji needs someone else to set the course and Gon’s great at that. Yuuji would geek out with Killua about pop culture. He’d feel great compassion for Kurapika but Kurapika doesn’t do friends so it’d be just that. Leorio would love Yuuji because he’s overpowered but very kind and less intense than Gon. I’m sure Leorio would go do karaoke with Yuuji.
Alluka and Nanika would instantly love Yuuji. They would also try to befriend and fix Sukuna. They’d think that surely he has good in him, like Nanika, and if only they manage to reach him, he can form a loving bond with Yuuji and others too. It was likely them who introduced him to Hello Kitty, he was never the same after that. Alluka would also love Kirara, see her as a mentor and I think Kirara would love her back.
Apart from Yuuji, Leorio would also like Nanami and Higuruma. He’d respect Nanami for choosing to help people and be happy that Nanami could choose a life not ruled by money. And Higuruma wanted to work the system from the inside and Leorio wants to do that too, maybe he could reignite the hope in Higuruma. He wouldn't be sure about Toudou but then again Toudou wouldn't mind his masturbation references XD.
Canary is very clever and can manipulate others so she’d respect Kenjaku’s plots and enjoy their personality. She would also like Maki, they’d train together with various weapons.
Nobara would judge Kurapika on their stuck up personality and lack of concern for others. She’d find Leorio cringe. But she’d be friends with Canary, because quick lesbian friends. With Gon, Killua and Alluka she’d initially be like meh, brats. But she’d warm up to them. Gon’s as driven and independent as she is, and she already has a sweet bff in Yuuji, so she likes that type. And Killua and Alluka she’d adopt as younger siblings. They want to escape the oppressive confines of a closed community and creepy traditions, she’d sympathise with that. Plus she’d bond with Killua about clothes. It’d take time with him, because they are both so petty but as soon as they’d bond on being petty about something together, they’d be inseparable to the despair of everyone around them.
Megumi would become distinguished rivals with Kurapika. They both know that the group can’t fit more than one pretentious over intellectualised teenager with a lot of trauma. But Kurapika doesn’t really want to hang around so Megumi would win that spot by default of not having a doomed revenge to drive him. He’d likely warm up to Gon and later to Leorio. He’d initially think Leorio is a bit like Gojou but then he’d learn that Leorio is a far better, actually reliable person and he’d grow to respect him. Killua would grate him because Killua is as knowledgeable as Megumi but far more talented and his relationship with Alluka and Nanika would always remind Megumi of how he fucked up his own relationship with his sister. He would try to play cool but envy’d be eating him inside.
Initially I thought Hisoka would like Mei Mei. But tbh I think that their creepy shared interest wouldn’t bring them together, more like they’d be territorial about their “toys”. He’d likely vibe with Mahito, they both love to mess with people and murder them for fun, and Kashimo who’d be Hisoka’s buddy and rival, I think they’d keep a tally of who won with a larger number of strong opponents.
I think if Bisky was transported into the JJK world, she’d think she ended up in heaven. So many hot men, like from her magazines. She’d try to score with as many as she could. And so many poorly trained but amazingly talented kids, so many gems she could polish to shine brightly. She could maybe even reform Sukuna, show him what true mentoring is about. He really wants to teach others but kills them in the process, that’s not very efficient. Kinda sub par mentoring. And she'd likely become besties with Yuki.
Uraume would bond with Pitou, they both are non binary, both have a sense of humour and they both loyally serve overpowered men who think they are very smart and who eat people.
Illumi would study the 3 clans, he doesn’t do friends, but he might find new inspiring methods to apply to his own family. He'd be also weirdly drawn to Chousou though he wouldn't approve of how Chousou enacts his brotherly obsession, he doesn't try to control his brothers enough. Chousou would obviously despise him.
Now Ging and Kenjaku would have a similar and dissimilar relationship Ging and Pariston have. Similar because Ging would want to study Kenjaku under a microscope, like he wants to do with Pariston. And I suspect they’d both respect each other’s curiosity. Though Ging has some semblance of morality so Kenjaku’s methods and possibly world ending goals wouldn’t fully vibe with him. But they’d be sharing parenting tips and successes. Like look at my overpowered kid I made as an experiment and then abandoned to just gently nudge his life this way or that way so he’d excel. Ging would be fascinated with Kenjaku’s baby making methodology and Kenjaku would go to Greed Island with the sole purpose of getting the pregnancy stone card.
Gojou would follow Pariston around begging him to reveal his secrets, how did Pariston manage to have the whole Hunters Association dance to his tune. How did he learn to play these political games and win? Gojou sucks at that so much. How is Pariston so effortlessly glamorous on a level Gojou could only dream of?
Ijichi and Beans would form a support group.
So would Palm and Yorozu.

But in this one kurapika gets the reader pregnant and she chooses to keep the baby and how Hisoka reacts to the news, especially since kurapika and the reader aren't married
A/N: I decided to set this after the series (4 or 5 years) when everything has settled down a little bit and Kurapika and the reader are like 20+ years old
*Part 1*
“We can’t just not tell him,” You argued as you looked at Kurapika, his relationship with your brother had improved slightly but there were still things that he didn’t want to tell him, and only a few days earlier you found out that you were pregnant. “Are we keeping it a secret from everyone?” “What?” He asked. “Well, are you telling Leorio, Gon and Killua?” You asked. “Of course I am, Leorio is going to be the one looking after you.” He waved you off and you nodded, you had no problem with that, you knew he was good, dedicated to the job but that wasn’t the argument. “So we’re going to tell your family but we’re not going to tell mine?” You asked. “Is she never going to meet her Uncle?” ”Why have you decided that they’re a girl?” He asked. “Because if it’s a boy it’s going to be as stupid and hot headed as you and I don’t know if I can deal with that.” You argued and he narrowed his eyes at you. “Look you don’t have to be there but I’m telling him. You think that he won’t find out… You’re friends can’t keep a secret no matter what happens.” “Fine but I won’t make you go alone.” He said, taking a deep breath.
“Hello little sister.” Hisoka said as he answered the phone. “Hisoka, are you busy?” You asked. “I’m never too busy for you.” He said as rolled your eyes. “Are you able to come over, I have to talk to you about something.” You informed him. “Are you okay?” He asked. “I’m fine.” You answered “just something that I should tell you.” “I’ll be there.” He said.
Later that day, there was a knock on the door and you walked over opening it “(Y/N).” Hisoka greeted you as you stepped to the side and allowed him in, he gave you a small hug on the way to the living room where Kurapika was waiting for him, once you were sitting next to Kurapika. “So what is the news that you needed to tell me?” “We found out something that we thought you should know, you don’t have to be involved if you don’t want to but I wanted to tell you.” You started and he frowned. “Mm.” He hummed to show that he was listening but he could tell that there was something going on, from the way that the Kurta was taking a more protective stance of you and the way you leaned forward almost as if you were protecting…your…stomach. It couldn’t be, he didn’t say anything as he watched you waiting for you to say what he was thinking. “I’m pregnant.” You said and he leaned forward resting his chin on his palm. “We’ve decided to keep the baby no matter what you say or do.” Kurapika said. “And what did you expect me to say?” He asked. “Huh?” You looked at him. “You thought that I would be angry about this?” He asked. “Maybe…” You answered. “Do you intend to stay by her side the same way that she has stayed by yours?” Hisoka asked his eyes soly trained on Kurapika. “Of course.” Kurapika answered. “Then there is no problem.” Hisoka said. “No problem?” You asked. “No.” He answered. “But you know if you have a boy you have to name it after me.” “Yeah… We’ll see about that.” You mumbled. “And your doctor?” He asked. “Leorio.” You answered confidently. “He’s acceptable.” Your brother nodded as he stood “well as much as I would love to stay and interrogate the rest of you plans, I was in the middle of a job, there’s only so long I can keep him in my hotel room.” “Yep… Moment ruined.” You nodded. “Until next time.” He waved as he walked towards the door. “Make sure that she is cared for or your child will not know his father.” “If she is not cared for then I don’t deserve to know my child.” Kurapika answered and while it seemed very hostile this was the nicest that you’ve ever seen them but you were sure that your child would change that.
