im gonna be honest i think the "adrien being a sentimonster was randomly thrown in season 4 with no planning on the writers' part" theory is really funny. like the writers of this show are just so bad at their job and so stupid that they tripped and fell in season 1 episode mr pigeon and accidentally spilled "a strange relationship to feathers" all over adrien by accident. they stubbed their toe on the coffee table and accidentally set up a mystery surrounding emilie's relationship to a feathery miraculous in season 1 volpina before we even knew what its powers were. then they spilled coffee all over their favorite shirts and at the same time spilled more white feathers around adrien in season 2 episode gorizilla. while writing the same episode someone had a really nasty sneeze and got boogers all over the script that said "use the imagery of two twin rings intertwined as the opener for the film of adrien's dead mother". they forgot to look both ways before crossing the street while writing the season 2 finale and were struck by a truck labeled "the peacock miraculous gives life" and then by a second truck with the license plate "it does so using white feathers identical to the white feathers that surround adrien in his ads" at the same time. they plummeted down an open manhole and hit the ground with a loud whack that sounded like "sentimonsters like bugette are just as real as any human..... and isn't bugette so...... perfect?" in season 3. on their way to the hospital they slipped on ice that had frozen in such a way to perfectly resemble the sentence "the word 'perfect' is consistently used throughout the series and by the creator ominously to denote how characters like adrien and kagami are 'different from everyone else', ever since season 1 episode simon says". during season 3 someone on the team got food poisoning and when they threw up felix came out instead and started another whacky series of comedic errors. the answer to the mystery of "how and why did emilie die? what life did adrien's loving mother create that she was willing to die for?" was originally gonna be "idk maybe she just exploded or somehting" probably, but then there was a really painful rock in one of the writers' shoes while walking to work that put them in a mood so bad that they forgot their original plan and instead made some bullshit up that somehow ended up being something that made sense with what we knew and put all the puzzle pieces together and actually made the show even more interesting and impactful on a rewatch because it put a lot of shots that at the time seemed random into a new and logical perspective as clear foreshadowing. it's actually impressive how stupid these silly clown writers are that they put strangely specific things so consistently throughout the entire series that resembled foreshadowing while never actually having intended it a single time! like........... really.......... really impressive............... i think..............

Did you all forget how Kagami and Felix, both KNOWING ADRIEN IS A SENTIMONSTER TOO, decided to do a (although beautiful) complexed fuck ass theater experience to Marinette so she, not them, SHE, had to save Adrien from his abusive father? They dumped a existential crisis on MARINETTE, revealed they knew she was Ladybug and were "you know, we don't have time to explain this to Adrien even though you know little about Sentimonster, so go and save your boyfriend because you care more about him than anyone else in the world, signed, Adrien's ex girlfriend and Adrien's cousin"?

Did you all forget how Gabriel preferred to KILL HIMSELF to avoid explaining his son all the fuck he did, having his comatose semi dead wife on THEIR BASEMENT and went "Marinette, you care more about Adrien than i do, explain this shit to him" and poofed himself of existence?

Did you all forget how Nathalie KNOWS the best all of this, how she still has videos of Emilie explaining stuff and is still not telling the truth to Adrien, even though she is now his canonically adopted mom? And an adult? But it's still letting Marinette fix Gabriel's mistakes?

Did you all forget all the times Marinette saw the universe destroyed just because her identity was revealed, how NO OTHER PERSON has that knowledge, and she has the need to work on the clock to fix everything or Bunnyx, AN ADULT BUNNYX, has to pop-out sometimes to ask a child to fix time paradoxes?

How do you expect HER to explain all of this to Adrien. How do you expect her alone to try and be the messenger of everyone's mistakes in Adrien's life. How do you expect a fucking child to carry the burden of everyone else's lies and not let her have her at least this one

tsurugi’s influence in revelator: let’s talk about it

something i noticed while watching revelator was the underlying implication that ms tsurugi is still very much active in the inner workings of the agreste family.

let’s set the record straight: we know very little about ms tsurugi’s partnership with gabriel from the earlier seasons. however, we do know that ms tsurugi is a very wealthy, smart, and cunning individual who owns a business in the technology industry, allowing for her to team up with gabriel to create the alliance rings in s5. she knew gabriel was monarch and willingly working with him (very important to note that she did not work for him), her intentions a mystery.

obviously, what made me realize tsurugi likely had some involvement in the events of revelator was vincent mentioning she sponsored him in one of his videos:

seems kinda meaningless at face value, like something the writers inserted to fill an awkward space in the script. however, if you watch miraculous, you know that everything is intentional.

okay, so ms tsurugi sponsors this recently famous influencer who makes a living off of spreading false information about people. this is odd, as it doesn’t seem like the type of content tsurugi (a very no-nonsense type of person) would endorse.

on the contrary, vincent’s videos are coincidentally targeted at “reporting” on people who tsurugi had some sort of personal connection to. weird, right?

the most obvious example of this is how vincent is very clearly anti-adrienette. tsurugi and gabriel pushed hard for adrien and kagami to get together in earlier seasons to create “perfect” images for their brands.

as soon as these words came out of his mouth, sirens immediately went off in my mind. WHY is vincent, a seemingly irrelevant character, using the same type of language gabriel and tsurugi used to describe their own children???

rich, famous, good-looking. vincent is glorifying adrien and kagami, describing them as pretty and powerful faces that shouldn’t be involved with common people such as marinette, a baker’s daughter (who he implied is using adrien for his status and success).

language like this has been used to describe adrien since his adrien, the fragrance days—perfect being the most prominent word. why? the lore is insane (iykyk), but to put it simply, adrien is a sentimonster, a creation in the eyes of gabriel. he believed his son could be nothing short of flawless.

a theory common in the miraculous fandom is that kagami is also a sentimonster. i won’t dive into this theory too much, but there’s plenty of concrete evidence to back it up—a noteworthy one being tsurugi using similar language to describe her daughter as gabriel did for adrien. she has high expectations for kagami, and wants her to be nothing short of the best—exactly how gabriel “parented” adrien.

from vincent’s video, it’s implied that tsurugi paid him to spread hurtful misinformation that marinette was a golddigger. her motivation? to get kagami and adrien back together. we already know she hates felix, her daughter’s current boyfriend, so it makes sense.

a possible counterargument:

“vincent is just creating meaningless drama revolving around the popular topic of gabriel agreste’s death, as it offers the opportunities for him to gain popularity”

respectfully, nothing is meaningless in miraculous. maybe i would agree with this argument if TSURUGI of all people didn’t sponsor his content. maybe i would agree with this argument if he didn’t spread false information that clearly villainized marinette and glorified kagami. he also obviously has it OUT for mari. don’t tell me he’s not obsessed with making people hate her because HELLOOOOOO:

people are gonna love hating the baker girl.

it’s giving very much lila/cerise vibes, honestly. i wouldn’t be surprised if this was some scheme involving tsurugi and lila to turn everyone against marinette, something cerise has been trying to do SINCE SEASON ONE.

so, what do i believe? i believe FOR SURE that tsurugi has something to do with the events of revelator, likely paying vincent to spread misinformation about marinette with the hopes of kagami and adrien getting back together. i also believe it’s very possible cerise is somehow involved in this, maybe working with tsurugi in some way.

LET ME ALSO SAY: tsurugi only cares about marinette because she is preventing kagami from a relationship with adrien. she would not care about ruining marinette’s life otherwise. cerise, however? she obviously hates mari. if tsurugi and cerise did work together to orchestrate vincent’s secrets, it benefitted BOTH of them: pushed for an adrigami redemption (for tsurugi) and demonized marinette publicly (for cerise).

i’m feeling a lil bit like cerise with her thousands of notebooks with this all over the place rant, but lmk what yall think 😭😭😭

I do find it really funny how miraculous s5 goes from 0 to 100 like, REAL fast. The season starts off all, “Monarch may be powerful, but Ladybug and Chat Noir are finally gonna KICK HIS BUTT!” and by the end it’s like, “GABRIEL AND TSURUGI HAVE LOCKED UP ADRIEN AND KAGAMI. ADRIEN AND FELIX ARE SENTIMONSTERS. GABE IS FORCING HIS OWN “PERFECTION” DRUG ON EVERYONE. NATHALIE IS DYING. CHLOE’S BEEN HUMBLED. LILA HAS THE BUTTERFLY MIRACULOUS. GABE GOT THE LADYBUG AND BLACK CAT MIRACULOUS AND THE WORLD EXPLODED AND HE’S REVERED AS A HERO AND ADRIEN KNOWS NOTHING.”

Why did Felix hide from LB and CN in S5?

My dear anon, I wish I could provide you with an explanation full of such profound wisdom and clarity that you would speak my name with reverence for years to come. Alas, I cannot because, when viewed as a complete whole, Felix's season five actions make absolutely no sense from any perspective other than, "Well, if he acted logically, then the season would be over in about five episode or, at the very least, Adrien would have learned the truth which would lead to an identity reveal and we can't have that!"

To explain, let's quickly go over the various assumptions one might have made as season five went on and why they all fall flat by the end of the season:

At the start of the season, Felix's hiding away made some sense if you assumed that he was hiding from his uncle. This was a logical assumption since Gabriel should have viewed Felix as a massive threat that must be eliminated. After all, Felix was clearly no fan of Gabriel's and Felix also knew everything one would need to know in order to bring about Gabriel's downfall. None of that actually panned out - Gabriel basically ignored the Felix issue for the entire season in favor of being the world's most obnoxious Adrigami shipper and Felix, well, we're about to get into that- but it was initially a valid assumption.

Continuing along the logical path from our ultimately erroneous fear-of-Gabriel assumption, one might think that a person who was terrified of Gabriel would go straight to Gabriel's enemies for protection. However there was an argument to be made that Felix feared Ladybug and Chat Noir's wrath just as much as he feared his uncle. This was also a fair assumption. Felix had just betrayed them plus, in those early episode, most of us assumed that Felix was going to refuse to make sentimonsters of his own, so he'd have no protection if Ladybug and Chat Noir immediately went on the attack. These assumptions all proved false in the end, but they were all reasonable when the season started.

Another initially valid assumption was the assumption that Felix's ego mania and self-serving world view meant that he only trusted himself to take down Gabriel. After all, past seasons had shown Felix to be clever, resourceful, and deeply devoted to his mother, so it made sense that he'd be working on some brilliant plan to bring his uncle's downfall and restore his aunt if only for love of his mother. You could even add an assumption he even wanted to keep everything quiet for sake of the family image or just a simple desire for personal privacy.

These assumptions and all of the others stopped holding water after Emotion. In that episode, Felix was shown to be fine making sentimonster, fine outing his own secret identity to the world, and fine confronting his uncle directly without a real plan for stopping him long term. The closest thing to a grand plan that we get in Emotion is Felix demanding Ladybug give him her miraculous:

Argos: Ladybug! Good. Now we just need to wait for Cat Noir and you'll both give me your Miraculous! Ladybug: (livid) So that's it then?! You're working for Monarch! You're the reason why I lost the other Miraculous in the first place! And why he took them!! You gave them to him without any regard for the consequences it might have with the people of Paris! Argos: True, except I work for no one.  I only helped Monarch cause it served my plans! I needed the Peacock Miraculous and today I need yours and Cat Noir's so I can make my wish!

But if this was his master plan, then why did he do the Red Moon thing? That took Gabriel by surprise, but it didn't knowingly do the same for Ladybug or Chat Noir. Without knowing their identities, there's no way for Felix to reliably find them during the Red Moon incident since he's snapping everyone he sees out of existence, making it somewhat likely that he'd accidentally snap the very people that he's looking for. You can't even go the snap-everyone-and-look-through-what-remains-to-find-the-miraculous route because he snaps the person and all of their accessories, too. Otherwise he could have snapped Gabriel and gotten all the miraculouses back in one go, then grabbed the Ladybug miraculous as a fun little bonus.

In other words, everything about the Red Moon plan was focused around making a big, flashy entrance for Agros and little else. It's not even focused on stopping Gabriel since Felix doesn't seem to have planned to snap everyone away long term or at least I think that's what's going on here?

Kagami: Happy? When there's no one left?? Adrien: How can I be happy without my friends, without my father, without the girl I love?! Argos: You really think I'm that��evil? (goes to open the trash bin where he hid Marinette...) Ta-da! (...only to find it empty; Adrien and Kagami peek inside, too) Huh? That's weird. (snaps his fingers in hopes of bringing back Marinette) Huh?! I don't understand! (backs away from the trash bin) She should come back! (continues to snap his fingers) Something's wrong! I can usually bring back whoever I want, but it's like she's nowhere! Like she's completely gone! (apologetically) I'm sorry, Adrien! Kagami: Sorry? You're sorry?!?! Adrien: You're not even in control of your own power! Don't you realize what you've done? Bring everyone back! NOW!!! Argos: Okay, okay, alright. I never meant to hurt you two...

Well that was anticlimactic....

Note how Felix doesn't take this opportunity to explain the danger his fellow sentimonsters are in before bringing back the people holding their remote controls? And what about his mother? Did he snap away his mother, too? And did he initially plan to perma snap everyone or not? If not, then what was the goal here?

This episode is confusing and could even be argued as a single, giant plot hole because it reads like a mental breakdown episode, but it's also a meticulously planned attack that was hinted at all the way back in Multiplication. So which was it? What was the master plan here? What's going on? Did the writers seriously do all that Felix stuff back in season four without fully thinking through how to make that work in season five?

After the mess that is Emotion, Felix basically gives up on whatever he was supposedly doing in Emotion. There's no master plan to stop Gabriel or make the world-changing wish or anything interesting. Instead, Felix is just there to be Kagami's Adrien replacement. Much like Adrien, Felix has no motive beyond "date the pretty girl and do whatever she asks of me." I guess it's a family trait.

One would think that this would lead to Felix making some interesting new plan to stop Tomoe or even joining forces with Ladybug and Chat Noir since he knows that Tomoe is in on whatever Gabriel is doing (Kagami wouldn't exist otherwise), but that's not what happens. We don't even get Felix going full senti's only because Adrien is left in the dark, a fact that doesn't seem to bother Felix or Kagami. They're too busy being in love to actually do anything to back the nonsense claim that they care about Adrien, but it's hard to blame them when it is so glaringly not their fault.

Letting these two have the sort of active role that would make sense for their characters would ruin the story the writers are trying to tell. We'd probably never get that whole "girl power" Bug Noire thing the show wanted to end the season with because Gabriel would have been stopped way sooner. It would also mean that Adrien knows things and the show can't allow that to happen even if it makes everyone involved look like massive tools. Let this be a reminder to you that you have to let your characters shape the path your story takes. If a character knowing X ruins plot Y, then you can't have both.

In summary, Felix's actions initially made some sense depending on your point of view, but as soon as he became a real part of season five, his character stopped making any sense. The reason for this seems obvious to me: you cannot write Felix logically while also actively including him in the show, keeping Adrien in the dark, keeping Gabriel a threat, and keeping Felix from flat out winning because the peacock is so ridiculously over powered. They wrote themselves into a corner and dumbed Felix down to get around the fact the same way Alya got dumbed down to make the Lila stuff work and Nathalie got dumbed down to make Gabriel's plot work. These writers aren't consistent at writing things like lore or characters, but they are incredibly consistent at the type of bad writing they have to fall back on. Expect to see more of these issues in the future.

So I’ll be changing a few bc I kinda just feel like it!

Monkey - Sundance: Huge buff/invincibility. So the holder can basically be almost invincible for about 30 seconds, like an adrenaline rush/shot. But a downside is increased impulsivity, so the holder will be hard to control while in that state.

Dragon - Perfection: Creates a small ball of light that eventually explodes and creates a large shockwave blast, like a bomb. The location of the ball creates heavy storms all around it, with it at the center. Yknow Kamehameha from dragon ball? Yeah, that, but it’s super small and won’t destroy a whole planet, only like a part of Paris AHDKWHSK

Horse - Temporal: Kind of like a mist-step, you can become spirit-like and move through walls, the air, and anything else, kind of like the wind in a sense.

Pig - Passion: Creates an intense bond between the holder and their target. Can be used on akumas, sentimonsters, or any animal. This bond can be used to control the target or support/uplift them. Definitely not permanent, only lasts a few minutes. It won’t break an akuma from being under the butterfly’s control, so it would be used more as a distraction. (When under Passion, they don’t become completely immobile/defenseless. They just feel as though they share a bond with the holder. It’s easier to use this on sentimonsters rather than akumas!)

Ox- Resistance: Creates a horned exoskeleton around the user! Like a protective armor that is also much bigger. It can be subject to breaking though.

I also wanted to change the Goat and Rooster Kwami, but I have little to no ideas atm so maybe if I do a redesign of them I’ll include it!!

And all the Kwamis will appear!! Not everyone will have a miraculous in the au timeline like in the show, only probably Marinette, Adrien, Alya, Chloé, Zoé, Nino, Félix, and MAYBE Kagami. They will have miraculous but never use them (in Season 3).

Why people dislike Feligami?

First a distinction: Felgami theory vs Felgami execution.

Felgami theory is actually awesome and a lot of people liked the idea. Enemies to lovers, driven rivals who develop feelings for each other, they're classic tales.

That's not what we got in execution though.

Instead we got Kagami retconned into being w sentimonster and handed as a gift to Felix as a sign of his virtue. We got the destruction of two interesting characters to be replaced with two lifeless stand-ins.

Felix is an asshole. From his first appearance we saw this. He was cruel, clever, driven, and had his own purpose. Then poof- it was all for Adrien, he's just a widdle guy, he's just misunderstood, he's got a tragic backstory that is a copy of Adrien's. How sad. He's really a hero! He always has been!

Kagami has always been forthright and direct. She doesn't hide, doesn't hesitate, and hates lies. Then poof- she falls for the guy who deceived her, stole the miraculouses, and killed everyone in Paris/France/More. Not only that, but she suddenly becomes completely passive, a lovestruck trophy toddling along to Felix's weird play/art/thing instead of telling Marinette what she knows directly. She too, just sits idly by while things go to ruin. Trophies don't get down off the shelf.

The only reason Kagami was retconned into being a sentimonster is so Felix would like her. Her entire being rewritten to convenience his plotline. Eww.

Not only that, but it removed her from the very interesting dynamic she has finally formed -over several seasons- with both Adrien and Marinette. She is safely 'out of the way' now.

There's more but it's late.

Basically- Fanon Felgami can be very cool if it diverges somewhere in S4 or early S5. It's csnon that mucked things up, shoehorning it in in an unsatisfying and frankly toxic way. He is into her because of her race. She is into him because he reminds her of her exes. Ugh.
