re: bob roth being an antisemitic stereotype...i think i missed something because (apparently unfortunate surname choice aside) i never saw him as one? i don't know what the line is between a generic corrupt ceo trope and an anti-semitic stereotype, so i'm not sure. that being said, there's definitely a more obvious antisemitic element in the show – namely, they gave the jewish-coded nathaniel devil (technically goat, but still) horns on his hero costume.

It's more how Jewish people are characterized as greedy and selfish. Whether it was intentional or not is anyone's guess, but it's not exactly surprising after all the other less than flattering depictions of other cultures in this show.

People don't realize how funny the show is.

Like it's absolutely absurd. The Lucky Charms are absolutely useless, but they work! Can you imagine losing to towel? Because that happens!

Also shoutout to the funniest character in the show: Bob Roth. He was hilarious in migration. Literally everyone on that boat hates him, and he keeps getting thrown off, but he doesn't let that stop him from being an absolute piece of shit. Also this man owns Jurassic Park. That's a canon thing. I don't trust him at all, he's gonna get someone killed. He's also a terrible father. He's my baby girl.

So... Scratch is the new Chairman because the past Chairman is deader than dead. But right now, I am headcanoning that the Ghost Council didn't want to go with said past Chairman's true killer, Molly, for a number of reasons:

Molly as a wraith was scary enough for them, and Chairman Molly would have given them nightmares for eternity.

Molly isn't dead, and they didn't want to risk their afterlives by offing her and dragging her to the ghost world since they suspected it would inevitably lead to them having to face her family's wrath.

A ghost world run by Molly McGee would probably be Mabel's dream bubble on steroids.

Insert fourth reason the Ghost Council didn't want to make Molly the new Chairman here.
