God, everybody hating on sweden winning. Saying that it is suspicious that Loreen won when the next year will be the 50th anniversary of ABBA are just sour. Do I belive Finland should have won? Yes. Can I accept that Sweden won? Yes. Am I biased because I'm Swedish? 100%. But will I throw a shitshow because the "wrong" person won? No.

Did Sweden win? Yes. But did Finland make a bigger impact on pop culture in general. 150%. It was a really good year for every country. Let's not fight, everybody was really good.

Did Finland get robbed? Absolutely 💯 %. But is tatto bad? No.

my current theory is that PJO TV is gonna go the exact same route as the movies:

Movie/Season 1 - The writing is meh and is criticized alongside the heavy deviations from the original series. Some people are staunch believers that it is too harshly criticized for being a derivative series, and they're probably right to some degree. As a stand-alone media it's somewhat confusing without original context and generally received as Medium-At-Best, but not the worst thing ever.

Movie/Season 2 - The writers respond to criticism by making changes recommended by feedback to the first [season/movie]. These changes to be closer to the books are generally regarded favorably. The second [movie/season] is regarded with little fanfare. They solve too much way too early on and essentially kill any chance for them to continue the series, but set up a continuation anyways by introducing Thalia. They announce plans for the third [movie/season] and everyone is confused.

Movie/Season 3 - Is announced but never comes to fruition and everyone is kind of relieved by that. Also I personally hope Disney+ will be dead by this point. Maybe Netflix will pick it up to go with the TKC movies. I dunno.

primer: a former god of fear who has since resigned, and now runs what is essentially an intergalactic tourist trap on his cursed planet, simply known as ''nk's domain''

i don't really do "stories" per se i just have my guys in their 'verse and they have their lore and sometimes that's actionable in a plot sort of way, but most of the time they are just doing their things. nk is one of my oldest oc's and as such probably the most, like, centralizing? nk's domain is sort of a meetup hub for most other characters that don't have their own defined Thing going on, as well as what several characters' Things are directly related to, but nk himself isn't all that much of an active player any more and most of the current story type stuff i'm working with has kinda moved beyond him.

aside from that it's just his history tying him to other stuff; there's a lotta old-guard guys who fuckin hate him back from when he was still doing the whole 'reign of terror' fear deity thing [nk used to stand for 'nightmare king' but he just goes by nk now], there's a bunch a new-guard guys he's pissed off for being the main force behind the universal outlawing of capitalism[honestly not that important and some worlds still do it anyway bc gods are bad at caring enough to actually enforce their rules unless it's like a Really egregious violation], and there's also the history of said "cursed planet" itself [he didnt do that he doesnt know why its like that he just saw it wand went ooooh free real estate. but theres a reason its like that and he's starting to pay the price for having taken it over [accidentally unleashed an imprisoned god-parasite plague][uh oh][its that yellow thing in the last image][this is actually what my "main" "story"/alleged webcomic is about] [go here go in the dark]]

On January first twenty-twenty five I got so distracted (writing)(worth it) sitting in my car I accidentally left my headlights on for two hours and killed my battery.

This is normal life fuckery for me anyway so I chill. A parking lot rando offers to run home and come back and jump me, I have cables. Cool.

Rando does not return. Cool. Still chillin.

I have two three cousins in reasonable distance, the closer one responds first and isn't busy so he throws his kiddos in the truck and comes and hooks us up and I get to chill in his warm cabin with him and his kids while we wait for my battery to revive.

My other cousin. The cousin I grew up with. And her husband my "big bro". Have verbed my name (lovingly, tolerably) into meaning 'a ridiculous situation and/or Broken thing, often after being touched by [my name]' because my luck is so hilariously, expensively bad the only thing I can do is fucking laugh about it.

My name irl is rather long, like lurkiestvoid, but my nickname is much shorter, let's say Lurk (shit I might have just figured out my nb name)

Anyways i had texted Beloved Cousins #1, 2, & 3 "breaking news i lurked something up"

Eventually #3 (Big Bro) replied while we were charging, they were making dinner, what's up? I told him no worries, I wanted a jump but Cousin #1 was on it, thanks anyways!

3: oh shit you could have called

Me: oh it was no emergency or anything it's cool

Me: I was just chillin but I left my headlights on and killed the battery so im still just ... chillin
