So anyway I'm obsessed with how everybody wants Qiu but Qiu only has eyes for MC once they meet so I'm thinking about his silly little boyhood crush. And then I couldn't leave best girl Tamarack out of the love fest so here's just a few little things I was thinking about with them having childhood crushes on u <3

Note that only the demo is publicly available and I am not currently a patron so anything here that is proven true is coincidence and anything proven false is just me having a little fun

Qiu Lin

So like. I've seen Qiu call you pretty twice in the demo. Once when you meet him if you choose to call him pretty first, and again towards the end of what's available in the demo when he's listing off reasons why you should be allowed to join the club..

I just think that whenever he talks about you he always has to let it slip that he thinks you're cute. "They had on a really nice hair clip today!" "Their hair looked so cute when they took off their hat at school." "When I picked them up to walk to school, I was so surprised at how pretty they looked!"

When he told his parents about you he probably said "this really pretty kid surprised me in our yard and we went on a miniature adventure!"

Also (and note that my MC uses she/her so im gonna quote him using gendered terms but only for this one instance) When he's introducing you to one of his friends, he starts off with your name and says "she's a girl!" (Or whatever terms you have set)

So I just think he says the most basic facts about you with so much awe and wonder 🥺 like you wore overalls to school? He talks like you invented denim. You had a funny comment or joke? It's like he's never heard one before in his life when he retells it.

I feel like…the first thing that makes him interested in you is that you're new. Not only does this make you fun to mess with, but it makes you far more interesting than the people he's known his whole life. Plus you, unlike Tamarack, don't immediately brush off the cool things he wants to show you or do with you if it isn't immediately your cup of tea.

Darren and Baxter are sick and tired of hearing your name !! If you're not around Qiu wonders aloud at least once if he should or should've invite(d) you. If he did invite you and you had to decline, then he wonders what you're doing.

The type of kid to skip out on his weekend chores at home and go to your house to help you unpack instead

Ok so MC says they used to live in an apartment, right? Probably in the city? And MC was only allowed to play on their own because Golden Grove is "a safe neighborhood?" What if MC doesn't know how to ride a bike. What if Qiu teaches them…

Whether you get a hang of it or not, he daydreams about doing that thing where he rides the bike and you sit backwards on the seat or on the handlebars or something

When he finds out you can't ride a bike, he definitely shows off by riding around without his hands on the handlebars.

Will teach you how to jump off the swing set too, then will have competitions over who can swing the highest and leap the farthest

I feel like Golden Grove has a cute little main street with a bunch of locally owned shops. If you're interested, he'll show you every. single. business. Even if most of them are "granny shops" he isn't interested in. He'll let you poke around for a bit :)

He has a special page in his notebook for all the little notes and doodles about you

If you look closely at the note he gives you after class, you can see the remnants of a few tiny little hearts that he erased!!

Going back to him offering you to ride on his bike: he probably got you in trouble once because you were on your front lawn and he rode up asking you to go on an adventure with him on his bike. You're expecting a fun little 20 min ride through the walkable path in the woods that'll have you back home by dinner. Instead he takes you to town and buys you ice cream and the two of you have to struggle your way back up the hill on foot and it takes like an hour and a half to get back and your mom was worried SICK

Buys a pack of pens with one/some of your favorite color(s) and writes you notes exclusively in that/those ink(s)

If you and your mom go somewhere and he knocks on your door while you're out, you will come home to see him sitting on the steps to your front porch and waiting for you

Before class starts, he always gives you a funny face or a wave. If you come in late because of a doctor's appointment or something, naturally a lot of the kids turn to look at your entrance, and he immediately waves at you. Maybe even says hi to you out loud if he knows Mrs. Murray is in a good mood / he can get away with it.

If he finishes his work early or something, he'll turn around in his seat and just watch you from across the room with major heart eyes. He smiles wider and waves when you notice.

Anything you compliment him on, he immediately draws attention to around others. Say his hair looks good today? He'll hit you with a "oh but not every other day?" but then tell his seatmates about what you said.

Buys extra portions of his little snack bags of chips and candy or whatever he likes when he can so that he can give them to you during lunch.

Gets on a kick and will pester you about having a secret handshake until you let him come up with one. He likes having special things just you and him 🥺

Probably invites you to his hideout at a specific time and day every week and he gets soooooo excited for that time to roll around.

Tries extra hard in your favorite subject, even if it's one he hates. He's not trying to be top of the class, but he doesn't want you to think he doesn't care about something you care about!

If you like a class he's terrible at, he'll ask for your help! Or, if you struggle in a class he's good at, he'll volunteer to help you out even though he HATES the concept of doing extra schoolwork. That's how much he likes u

He'll do this with any windows but especially if one of your bedroom windows faces his: he will definitely pull a Taylor Swift in "You Belong With Me" and write notes for you guys to read to each other

Since he can't sit with you, he'll write you notes or make you doodles and then pretend he has to get up to sharpen his pencil so he can pass your desk and slip it to you

Tamarack Baumann

Tamarack will straight up just stare at you 👁👁

She follows you around like a lost puppy and visibly brightens up when you're around

Looks forward to school because she gets to sit next to you all day! Like she'll skip happily along the path with you and Qiu and you'll ask her if she's looking forward to all these things and she'll just go "No!" and when you finally give up and ask why she says "because I get to spend the whole day next to you!"

When she goes to play in the woods, sometimes she'll spend a while in the shallower end of the tree line waiting to see if you'll come outside and play with her

Has definitely thrown sticks and pebbles at your back door to lure you out before she gets bored

Likes to go around and pick up the coolest rock, the prettiest flower, the biggest piece of tree bark, a leaf the size of her head…then before she goes home for the night, she stops by your house and gives what she picked up to you!!

If you're not home then she leaves it on your porch with a note, usually held down by a rock if it's not something heavy 

She'll be over the moon if you give her cool rocks and stuff you found. Even if you're literally giving her trash, like if you ONLY give her bottle caps or pop tabs you find on the sidewalk, she cherishes them. Would make jewelry out of them tbh

Ok so quick tangent but there's a book I read in about 4th grade called Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, and in it the love interest girl is the quirky type. One thing she has is a little decorative cart on her dresser which she puts rocks in every time she's happy and takes rocks out when she's sad. When the protag goes to her house and finds out, she explains how she has put the most rocks in it since meeting him. They kiss sometime after that and she puts another rock in and tells him about it. I think Tamarack would have a jar or a doll house bathtub and she would do the same thing, putting rocks in it when she's happy! So what I'm saying is give her plenty of rocks so she can exclusively use MC rocks for that 

Also will make matching jewelry for the two of you without even stopping to think if you even wear what she's making. She'll buy kits to make special rings and headbands, braid a million friendship bracelets out of multicolored string, use acorns she found to make earrings…anything! She is just as happy if you wear it then she is if you buy a jewelry display stand and show them off in your room. Eventually she adds keychains into the mix for some variety

Doesn't mean to spend a lot of her time waiting on you but she does. On weekends, instead of going directly into the woods, she'll just lie on her back in her yard and stare up at the clouds, completely still, daydreaming (about you) until she hears your door opening. Then she runs to you.

If any of your windows are open, particularly your bedroom window, she'll send a bunch of paper airplanes your way. Most of them make it! However, you've learned that if you find even one paper airplane inside, you're going to have to check that side of the house for more scattered on the ground

Grips onto your arms or your clothes whenever she can. You two are connected.

Makes a BIG effort to like anything that you like as much as you do! And when she follows you around, it doesn't really matter if you're doing something she doesn't care about. She just wants to spend time with you! It does make her whole week if you follow her into the woods, though.

She doesn't take notes in class, but you leave a writing implement out for her and sometimes she'll reach over and doodle a cute bear or something on your paper :)

2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?

It's a little bit of both, honestly. Lately I have been practicing being more deliberate and planning my stories more thoroughly as oppose to just writing and posting without thinking. Apparently this has had a positive effect. I get more comprehensive feedback on my writing than I ever have.

3. Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic.

Generally I do what I call the "bookend method." That is, I usually have the first and last chapter planned out. I know how I wanna start, and I know how I wanna end. And I recently started imposing chapter limits on myself so each chapter is basically like a scene from a play in how I plan it. That is, I know who I want to include in each chapter, the general subject being covered in the chapter, etc.

4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?

Music. I am a maladaptive daydreamer since I was 6 years old. Scenes have been turning in my head since I was cognizant enough to remember. Eventually the scenes spin into full stories. Of course, I read widely and often as well and get inspired to cook up my own ideas.

5. Do you like constructive criticism?

When I ask for it, yeah. I don't like when people just assume I want it because the comments tended to get a lil' disrespectful back in the day when I allowed that. Everyone's version of constructive criticism is different. To that end, if we have established a rapport, I welcome it. Everybody else: talk to me nice or not at all!

7. How do you choose which POV to write from?

It depends on how deep inside of a character [heh] I want or need to get. I used to be a die-hard first-person POV writer. But lately it's third-person limited.

9. Do you comment on stories you read?

I try to. I usually want to make my comments more than the usual flailing and emojis and memes. I want to leave substantial evidence as to why I enjoyed the fic, how it made me feel, etc. And I'm very good about it these days.

Beneath the Silk by @phyx-m - Sukuna x f!Reader; I describe it as a dark and bloody Beauty & the Beast, only you're not really sure who the beast is in this situation. It's so good and Sukuna is so darkly seductive and menacing all throughout.

Academic Affairs by ChocolateGranola - Sukuna x Gojo AU where they are academic rivals-to-lovers. I'm riveted.

Kindred Spirits by SkipGabe - A Sukuna x OC fic with super cool lore, great worldbuilding, and a very cool take on Sukuna's origins.

Monster Hospital by mushmoon12 - A Gojo x Reader-ish fic that is most assuredly enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies-to-??? and it's an emotional rollercoaster.

Like Silk by satans_onlyfans - A Sukuna x Reader-ish fic that...well. Let's just say there's more than one Vessel.

Cor Unum by @vampyrsm - Sukuna x Reader-ish fic that can only be described as a fucking masterpiece from start to finish. I would say this fic and Beneath the Silk are in conversation with one another thematically, and the exploration of Sukuna is so well-done. It does have dead dove elements so be forewarned.

The Tragedy of a Duality by @katerina-marie - a Gojo x Reader x Sukuna fic that...well it's in the title. I recommend all this author's JJK stuff but this one was an absolute standout for me.

Infidelity by @tawus - A Gojo x Reader fic where Gojo proceeds to cause the most emotional distress I have ever seen just because Reader wanted to go out to the club. I don't wanna spoil too much but oh my god. Seriously, a masterpiece.

Sweet Little Lies by mooglepaws - A Toji x Reader and Reader x adult!Megumi non-curse!AU where Reader makes the best most horrible decision. The smut in this fic is astoundingly hot. Like maybe don't read this one in public.

12. How does receiving or not receiving feedback/support impact you?

I used to let it get to me when I didn't get feedback on my fics, but I really do mean what I say when I say I write for myself. The stories I create for free are first and foremost for my enjoyment. That other people connect with and enjoy them too is now a bonus. I appreciate the feedback and support, but I will continue to write irrespective of receiving either. That being said, I won't lie and say getting feedback and support definitely helps motivate me to continue as much as my usual methods. :D

14. How do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?

I draw from personal experience. When I want to evoke a certain emotion, I visit a memory of my own that evokes the exact shade of that emotion I want to paint on the page. I have...a lot of experience with some of the emotions that make more appearances in my fic than others.

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

I've got quite a few. Let's crack open the Scrivener document.

This is currently every single fanfic project I currently have in rotation. This is levels of brainrot I haven't had since Dragon Age, and I have 60 published fics for that fandom. I have a lot of thoughts about this fucking manga/anime.

17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

When I want to be inspired, I read. When I want to create, I write. Sometimes it's necessary to read and let my brain process and enjoy being a reader for a while rather than constantly thinking about writing [which my brain perceives as a problem that needs solving].

19. What is the most-used tag on your AO3?

Original Female Character, probably.

21. Would you ever collaborate with another writer for a story?

I have! While it was me commissioning the author for a story I created, we consider it a collaborative effort as we worked together every step of the way getting the story just right, and it featured my character in my continuity. I had hoped to be able to do this with more artists and writers in the future but the JJK fandom is...insular. I had plans for a little project featuring stories and art in my 'verse. There's writers whose writing styles I really enjoy and I would love to collab with them. :D

And this isn't to exclude other authors I read [I have a very exhaustive list, actually], but these are my three faves for their portrayal of my favorite canon characters, their premises, and their prose.

35. What is one essential thing to remember when writing a villain?

They don't always have to have redeeming qualities for you to relate to them. It's okay to like that piece of shit for being a piece of shit.

37. How do you choose where to end a chapter?

Usually I treat it like a thesis paper. The chapter covers a specific subject and has a specific goal. I end the chapter when those objectives are met.

40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

There's a scene in Daughter of Disgrace where Yuji and Sundari get caught in Sukuna's domain. Sundari covers Yuji with her body and hugs him close while she casts her version of Hollow Wicker Basket, called Lakshmi's Lotus. It functions the same way as Falling Blossom Emotion in that it reduces the lethality of the domain. The Lotus technique layers this barrier and requires a lot of cursed energy. She was able to keep Yuji and herself safe for the duration of the domain [99 seconds].

The other scene is from the same fic, when Nadja...does what she does and shocks Sukuna.

41. Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?

I honestly used to be one and done, but lately there's been some writers who have been knocking it out of the park with crafting stories that I love coming back to again and again. It might be the prose, the premise, the smut, whatever it is...I keep it in my bookmarks for a reason.

42. What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?

The last fic I read was the Daddy Duty series by @sandwitchstories.

I highly recommend it if you like Dad!Kuna headcanons and fics. I have been craving some soft and wholesome Sukuna lately [and been too lazy to write it], so I was delighted when this popped up in my personal Sukuna feed on BlueSky. :D

45. Do you want to break your readers‘ heart or make them laugh?

My hope as a writer is to be able to do both, sometimes back to back.

54. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

When I get to write That One Scene™️ that's been rattling around in my brain for what feels like forever.

55. Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers/readers’ reactions to certain ones?

Nadja is my all-time favorite OC I've ever created. As I've said before, I don't get a lot of feedback on my work outside of my Dragon Age fics. Nadja is my favorite OC because she's complex. She's not very likeable [she's a terrible parent and literally kills for money], she is hedonistic, and she tends to be very self-serving. Something kind of fun writing a character like that. Honorable mention to Sundari because I love writing a tough, strong girl who kicks ass and has a bad attitude.

59. Does anyone in your personal life know you write fic? if not, would you tell anyone?

Literally everyone in my life knows I write fic. Whether I allow them access to those fics is another matter. My parents used to catch me reading/writing smutty fanfic when I was in high school so...yeah. Imagine how they feel now that I'm a published writer with a proper degree and everything. Let the kids read/write their fic!

61. Why do you continue writing fics?

It's so fun! I love making my favorite characters smooch my OCs.

63. Something you hate to see in smut.

Cervix abuse. Y'all. Please. That shit is not fun in real life, I promise. A few little taps, yeah, but constant bruising? NO PLEASE NO.

That being said, I know how to hunt for the good smut.

66. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie. pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc.)?

I don't feel any pressure because I get no traction on my fics like that to feel like I need to update on any kind of schedule. So I write and publish whenever I feel like it.

75. What scene in [Fanfic Name] took the longest to write? What was difficult about it?

Since you didn't specify a fic name, I will pick one! Daughter of Disgrace, you're up!

The scene that took the longest for me to write was in chapter 11. Saddest thing I have ever written in years, I literally cried several times writing it, editing it, rereading it, posting it, etc. Sukuna and Sundari and Nadja deserved better than the hand fate dealt them.

77. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve written from [Fanfic Name] story/chapter?

Favorite scene I've written from Daughter of Disgrace? There are so many! I really put my heart into that fic and I have so many favorite moments I revisit. There's the scene where Sundari and Gojo kill the higher ups together. Then there's the whole birthday party. The Shinjuku Showdown with Plot Twist was also fun as hell.

Honestly that whole fic was a good time start to finish.

Anyways, we all know that behind his tough shell Jerry is actually a fluff ball. So it's no problem socializing and befriending him out of pure kindness. He's super nice to everybody trust me (except from his enemies of course).

Like most of the boys, Jerry likes kind and humble women. He's also attracted to very short ones since he founds them really cute especially if they're the same age as him. He's the type to give you piggy backs when you're legs hurt from walking 🥺. He'll also the type to be protective and he'll always walk you to home after school too.

And I LOVE getting to explore the clones’s and Mel’s sibling-like relationship. 😭 I based most of their personalities on how they act around Mel off my annoying brother (affectionate 😌💕😂). I’m also so happy you feel the Jedi are also in character as well, and that it feels like a comfort to read them, like you’re learning about them along with Mel. 🥺💕 That was actually a lot of the idea with this fic (besides me living vicariously through Mel to romance Anakin, of course 👀😂❤️) over how I would slowly write scenes to SHOW the audience the misconception about the Jedi/their culture/certain characters. I didn’t want to PREACH to them. I wanted to present them with the evidence that maybe the Jedi aren’t “repressive” and “emotionless 🙄🤢” as they might’ve been led to believe by a big chunk of the fandom’s harsh perception. It would be like it was happening in time with Anakin as his thoughts change into something better and less self centered.

And I HAVE actually received a comment on Wattpad from a reader that my fic helped change their minds about Mace and the Council! 🥰🥰❤️ And it was just… such a joy to hear. 😭❤️ That’s the idea with this fic. I hope to reach across the aisle towards EVERYONE—maybe anti Jedi fans will read my work and have their minds changed about their culture. Maybe someone who despises Anakin to the bone will read my fic on a whim and slowly grow to care about him/see the humanity underneath the surface, just like Mel has. And maybe by the END of this fic… I’ll have convinced some people that the Jedi are not at fault for their own genocide by “failing” Anakin—because the truth is that it was HIS choice. Maybe by the end of this fic, there’ll be fans who’ll read the work and grow to see that you can love a character while still criticizing them/knowing they’re in the wrong (ie; Anakin 😔💔), while ALSO still acknowledging that he went through such horrible trauma as a kid while a slave on Tatooine… but it still DOESN’T absolve him or give him the right to hurt others just because he’s hurting himself.

That’s what this fic is all about, after all. GENUINE growth and change. Not placating a man by changing a few moments that he won’t have to go through in the timeline that will suddenly make him all “warm and fuzzy inside” and see the light. TRUE redemption and change means that Anakin will have to grow and ADMIT he was wrong while not becoming defensive when his actions (*cough* the Tuskens *cough*) are brought to light. Essentially, I’m trying to “Zuko-ify” him. (Loool, I know. Pretty high hopes for myself there. 😭😂❤️)

I’m also soooo happy you love and relate to Melanie so much. 🥹❤️❤️ Almost all readers have told me similar things, and it’s so wonderful to know that I’ve made a character that has been accepted by a small portion of the “SW/Anakin fandom”. 😆😁💕❤️ Mel came about when I was one day reading over an isekai story and just… not being able to fully immerse myself, because the OC’s reactions just didn’t seem realistic to me. 😭 And so I remember sitting down and imagining how I would react in such a situation (immediate freak out/think I was dreaming/would run in terror from Anakin’s hot ass at every opportunity 😌❤️‍🔥😂), and then that’s how Melanie Bains came into being! So, while Mel IS somewhat of a stand-in for the audience (it IS an isekai fic after all 😭🤷‍♀️), it was still very important to me to make her three dimensional and—while yes, very relatable—also make sure she became her own character who could grow into herself. So a hero’s journey was important, along with giving Mel an antagonist (The Shopkeeper) separate from Anakin’s antagonist (Palpatine), because it was SOOOO important to have Mel have her own character arc/story AWAY from Anakin. It was important that Anakin wasn’t ALL she was about. Mel has friends (Ahsoka/the clones), she has her own plan she’s dealing with to try and save the galaxy while barely giving Anakin a second thought besides terror at first, and most importantly—Melanie is NOT begging Anakin to change. That was soooo important to me. She doesn’t have TIME to beg him to change. There’s too much at stake already, and if Anakin changed FOR Mel, it’s not even true change in the first place. Instead, as you’ve probably guessed from my latest chapter, Mel is INSPIRING him to change himself, because of the qualities about her he is coming to admire which in turn makes him take a look at his own selfish actions. This is always where I think “bad boy/I can fix him” writers get things lost in translation. It’s not true redemption if they change FOR the girl, because—as the Marvel movie Shang-Chi has recently shown us 🥶—if the girl ever dies… then the “bad boy/villain” goes right back to being evil. 😭🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ What REAL redemption would be is meeting someone you grow to love who INSPIRES you to become a better version of yourself—not FOR them—but because you want to become someone like them. You want to stand by their side in the light and feel proud.

my (spoilery) thoughts from the high republic phase 1 comics (so far*):

(*i've read THR vol. 1-3, trail of shadows mini-series, and eye of the storm mini-series. next up i'll be reading monster at temple peak, and all the phase 1 high republic adventures)

keeve trennis. like that's it, that's the bullet point. keeve fucking trennis. so glad i finally got to meet her properly and she is SO. COOL. she immediately jumped up the list of my fave THR characters

keeve getting knighted by avar was very important to me 🥺 like every time one of these padawans gets knighted i feel like such a proud parent! (also bonus points for keeve rambling and basically telling avar "you're so fucking cool and i love you." like, same <3)

it was great to finally see what avar was up to during our time jumps between lotj and rising storm and fallen star. we know she was fighting the drengir and then chasing lourna; and we learn from her later that she really struggled with the darkness she encountered, esp when dealing with the drengir over and over. it was good to finally see more of the drengir and see everything that avar was going through

that scene in THR vol. 3 where avar almost killed lourna 👀 like this coming after her reprimanding sskeer for thoughtlessly killing nihil, and also paralleling elzar killing chancey. it was just a really good scene showing that this conflict with the nihil and the drengir and constantly being surrounded by violence and darkness can bring any of the jedi to their tipping point

sskeer and keeve's relationship means SO much to me 🥺💚 definitely one of my fave master-padawan duos to come out of the high republic so far!

really fun and not at all painful reading through the comics after the books and realizing "oh, you're dead. and you're dead. and you--yep you're dead too." like the house (starlight beacon) is haunted!!!!

maru is really cool and his last scene with avar i'm-- 😭

the artwork when keeve and terec first encountered the nameless was sooooooooo good

i reallyyyy enjoyed the eye of the storm mini-series. learning about the evereni people coming from a world of tempests and storms and how they evolved and adapted not to trust anyone was very good. it was nice finally getting a little more insight into marchion's character

the trail of shadows mini-series might be my favorite so far though! emerick is also SO. COOL. his friendship (and growing bond) with sian was really great. and well, i love a mystery! i love weird force shit! so the creepy lullaby about the nameless being woven throughout was really good.

also that HUG between emerick and keeve 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭

also emerick knowing about the firebrands polycule lmaoooo. like everybody knows, and they're all just like "you know what? that's none of our business."

but also seeing stellan and avar so at odds with each other (both in trail of shadows and in the main THR comics) hurts bad. it hurts real bad. because they'll never get the chance to apologize to each other 😭

EDIT: i forgot to mention fuckin, buckets of blood stripping down to his underwear and then going to fight the nameless like?????? i mean he gave emerick his robes that had the nameless' blood on them, but bro you couldn't have just taken off your top robe?? pants had to go too??? (i mean i suppose if i was jacked like torban i also would strip down to my underwear). just a very funny moment in an otherwise very serious scene.

This fandom has given me so much that periodically I go through this fear of everything going away. I came here the day after CCC came out and travelled between different platforms a lot, never really finding my home, and I missed many opportunities to connect with people. I often feel out of place. This spring I made a bigger effort to connect with people by finally starting to write and it has worked, everybody has been really lovely and it makes me so happy to see people engage with what I share and I also love to engage with other people's fanworks. But then also at the same time seeing fewer people engage with fanfiction in general (not just mine) makes me so scared of it all going away because it's just starting to get nice for me here, and idk, maybe this is just another end-of-the-summer winter-is-coming oh-woe-is-me whiny thought and it will be normal and cool tomorrow again 🥲

Go away already, August, and please be kind to us, long September break. I'm very hopeful about October and the Eurotour 2.0 shenanigans. Kinktober is also approaching and has me thinking extremely Käsh thoughts, maybe some of them flavoured with something sinister! 👀

Pile 1

The impact you have on strangers and acquaintances: King of Wands, King of Cups

Group 1, to most people who come to know you in public, you gave them a lasting impression as a charming and charismatic individual. You come across as someone who know who you are and what you want ("someone who has their shit together"), without appearing arrogant and overbearing. The thing is, while asserting yourself and your needs, you always leave space for others to express themselves. If anything, the way you treat yourself with respect and boldly go after your goal inspire others to do the same. On a more specific note, I also see the images of you take over the unnamed role of an organizer when your group of people going out. Like you would ask for everybody's order in an restaurant and go tell the server/cashier what you guys want ("Sorry but he asked for no pickles" kind of thing haha). If you're a leader at a workplace, thanks to you, people feel like their work has meaning, personally and interpersonally. They would go out their way to make sure your common goals will be realized, so that you won't have to shoulder all the responsibility during difficult time. 🥺

The impact you have on friends and family: The Sun, The Chariot

With your loved one, you shine through with the same compassion and warmth, but even more brightly. Cliche as it might sound, you're their pride and joy; hanging out with you put a smile on their face. You inspire them to have a more positive outlook on life, and to seek for happiness in the little things. On the other hands, when they're in trouble, you could offer them your insight and bring clarity to their situation. You taught them how to keep up with a long term goal, as something not just requires resilience, but also the ability to adapt to changes. On the other hand, you could be that one friend in the group who has a driver license and/or a big car, that people feel like they could go anywhere with you behind the steering wheels. You could also be the one who knows a lot of niche but nice travel destinations/routes. I feel like your close relationships experienced a lot of their first with you. First time going out of the city, first time going scuba diving, first time trying certain food etc. And of course, you could also be someone's first kiss, or your parent's first child. It could be clumsy or awkward experience, but it has a "before and after" effect. People think fondly of the memories they share with you. Comparing to your public self, you allow yourself to be more stubborn and argumentative with your close circle. And they find it endearing as well. 😊

Oh wow, before starting, I must say you have such a cool, fierce and sorta "untouchable" energy. You are someone with a sharp mind. You might not talk much or be the loudest, but the arguments you put through when it's called for always stun people, for how keen your observations and logics are. The impact you leave on the general public is: you make them think twice before speaking and develop critical thinking lmao. Because, if they do speak and spread hatred and misinformation, you won't hold back your voice to call them out and hand their ass back. On the other hand, you lend your voice and inspire the underdog. The onlooker who would want to speak up and defend themselves and their community, but couldn't find the courage and/or the mental energy to do so. The only downside to this is, people could find you too opinionated. Some would feel so intimidated by you that they would hold their tongue whenever you're in the room lol. Even when you view it as harmless and non-personal discussion, people could take your counter points personal and take a run from it. 😅

The impact you have on your friends and family: Death, The Emperor reversed

Among your close circle, you also bring in the similar elements to your relationships as described above. However, your impact runs deep; it won't be exaggerating to say you walked in people's life and changed their world. It could be the advices and influences you give them. But it could simply be how you chose to live your own life that, with or without your awareness, changed other people's way of thinking. Such changes always come with an ending. Due to your impact, some shredded their self-limiting belief, or their attachment to a certain place or people. You could have challenged some authority figures, letting them know they are not as "mightier then thou" or in control of other's and their own's life as they believed. On the other hand, you inspire some to reclaim their rights to take space and have more autonomy in their decisions. Either cases, you're a ground shaker. Many people feel deeply grateful for you and the experiences you gave them, some even long after you left their life. Surely, you could make some enemies along the way. But, "hatred is the most sincere form of flattery"; who can say one lives their life "right" without earning some nemesis? 🗡️

For people who picked this pile, your energy is quite complex that I hope you would sit with me as I go through every aspects one by one. On the most surface level, you're someone who wear your emotion on your sleeves. People can tell right away if you're happy or miserable at a time just by looking at you. Your mood will seep through the way you dress and hold yourself, and people can gain updates on your life easily through small talks. As it goes, you can just mind your own business, but you might attract a lot of jealousy. Some people would compare themselves to you and evaluate how they are doing in life, by looking at you. They could have false impression, which leads them to have false expectation and values with their own business. I won't be surprise if you have secret admirers as well. Some would look up to you and carefully follow your steps. They hope they would avoid all the traps and missteps, and ripping the same success by doing so. Since you seem to be someone who won't shy away from taking risks and trying out new things in life, people would turn to you and your opinions to see if certain directions is rewarding or a big thumb down. Lastly, you could be someone who make (acquaintances) friends quickly and have a wide circle of people. No more crying, no more whining!" quoting Bacchus). You could be sitting there eating chips, listening to your friend's rant and then dropping a single question/comment and they would have an "Aha" moment. I can also see you dragging your friend out of their rut by inviting them on a trip or to an activity. Anyhow, you are quite spontaneous, people could drop what they were doing to follow you. One sentiment that you help them process is: how the way that it's always been done is not necessary the only way. People get attached to things because it's all they know, or because they have invested a lot of time, money and emotional commitment to it. You kind of knock it off for them, pointing out how those things no longer make them happy, and that it's okay to turn around and take a new path. Thanks to you, a lot of people become more fearless.💪

REVIEW

I LOOOOOVED LOVED LOVED this episode, oh my GOSH!!! There was the drama and the team banding together and Tommy getting her treatment :') and Tarlos and angst and so many moments that just felt so REAL and gosh <333. It was so amazing.

I won't add much because I lightly injured my hand earlier, but individual parts!

Tommy! I'm so glad she's gonna get her treatment :'). I really love her and Owen talking to each other, and it'll be especially nice to continue to see Owen be there to help guide her through it if needed :'). I love her 🥰.

TK and Carlos! GOSH I'm losing it over them 😭😭🥺. Now, I have more to say at a later date, but I put plenty of stuff about them and their storyline in my liveblog. Basically, I can see both sides of their argument, and they both definitely said some things they regret xdd, but I will agree that taking Jonah in is kind of urgent. Kind of searching for Gabriel's killer this time around too, though. Anyway, they were amazing. I love them <3.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode!! It felt so raw and real often, but also had some really cool epic and dramatic moments :)). Everybody got at least a little moment, and the ones that got more than that ate it up so hard :)). I'm so nervous but also excited for the next episode, and I'm loving the angst, I just hope everything turns out okay xD. Still, it was great 🥰.

So yeah! I absolutely loved this episode, I thought it was great. They all did a wonderful job, and despite (and because of) all the drama I had a fun time. I'm nervous for the next episode, but excited! This has been my review of. . .

as much as i despise Virgo’s♍️ antics, she’s the most consistent celestial spirit Lucy has in the series 🥺 when she isn’t being treated as a joke, she can be enduring in a poker face only through actions and words type of way. She wasn’t there for Lucy’s childhood, but i think a maid🤵 would make Lucy feel comforted since she used to have maids. Maybe it’s because she’s a maid and it’s fanservice to show her, but still. She’s possibly the closest celestial spirit Lucy has if not for Loke (i guess he’s in second place). Also she needs to control Earth in more ways than holes because I KNOW SHE CAN DO IT BUT SHE NEVER DOES!!!

MY GURL IS THIS THE ONLY TIME YOU EVER USE EARTH SPICA LOCK SHELL?!!??!?!!??!?! (Sidenote: is she a maschoist because she’s a virgin????). Virgo lending Lucy celestial clothes when they were ripped was nice. (below panels)

Aquarius♒️🌊 is a no brainer, she’s just the last thing from her mother and got last minute flashbacks so she doesn’t count… I do think if it was developed better she’d work fine. I’d still be annoyed with her but I’d at least understand. She’s annoying but she was there for her when she was younger… yeah whatever.

Taurus🐄🐂♉️ surprisingly had a moment when he was controlled which was sorta nice if it wasn’t built on his perversion, but besides that there’s not much there. He’s prideful and straight forward, which could’ve been fun if rewritten… like an Elfman+Natsu combo. Also give him cool axes, can be multiple, i like variety 🪓

Sagittarius🐴🐎♐️ had a few too many losses and doesn’t much besides lose☠️ and shoot arrows🏹. He’s overly… dense? Righteous? Idk. Google says they should be adventurous, so like a hunter? Miss opportunity there. I have no clue what the writer is trying to do anyways. He’s a horse, horses like to run, and bows are for hunters who like the wilderness. He should be hyper aware of his surroundings and overjoyed for future possible quests and battles. It’s really simple. Also he should have special arrows like Green Arrow does including flame arrows 🔥

Crab🦀 cuts hair💈🪮💆🏿‍♂️ and was basically given to Lucy in her later years of childhood (idk exactly when tho). Honestly, I’m not sure what Lucy’s maid Satto would use the Crab♋️ celestial spirit for? Why keep holding it until when Lucy was slightly older but still young?? I was gonna mention Scorpio and Gemini until I checked the wiki for my rewatch and there’s a tiny serious moment Lucy has not just with Aries, but with all 3 of the zodiacs. I’m splitting it down but while Aries obviously went through blatant abuse (and we know I want her to gain back confidence and independence), Scorpio mentions how they were all demeaned to and thought of as tools/objects. I’m not even sure what that could possible imply how exactly Angel treated them all, but that’s sounds HORRIBLE!!??!?? I wouldn’t be surprised if they all had an inferiority complex somehow. I can’t even remember Angel’s redemption arc, but this was never again addressed.

Gemini♊️ mocks Lucy and at first appearance everybody else too until they suddenly decided to switch teams because Lucy was against celestial spirits fighting against each other or being used as tools. If that was enough to make Gemini cry, then I gotta ask whether that was the first time a human celestial mage treated them as normal 😓 that robot thingy too. Gemini never stopped mocking Lucy after this btw, fanservice and whatnot, but it would be interesting to see Gemini act like a trickster prankster to everybody again. I like how Gemini could hear and see and remember a person’s memories and thoughts and feelings, big ole hyper empathy. But the fandom wiki makes a good point about how Gemini’s first appearance with Angel was because they copied Angel. I think that’s plenty scary because that essentially makes for one contracted celestial controller/sorta-abuser and one toxic co-worker. That has GOTTA BE TOUGH on Aries and Scorpio 😢 They need to learn to control themselves, imagine if they could change into Zeref 💀 or the celestial king.

Scorpio🦂♏️ is just known for being Aquarius’s boyfriend. He’s not as weird as the other spirits, he just kinda looks inhuman (because he isn’t, lobster) and has an added speech quirk by saying “we.” Idk why he says we, but Sagittarius says moshi-moshi/hello-hello and gemini says piri-piri which i also don’t know why, and Taurus says moo which actually makes sense, so he’s not the weirdest. Uhm, i doubt scorpions make noises? What does the scorpion (fox reference) say?? Crab took “snip-snip” already sooooooo… (searches google) ah- they can hiss and stridulate (making shrill sounds by rubbing body parts together). Huh. 😶 The wiki says he’s loyal and google too, and the fandom wiki makes a great point about how differently Scorpio treats Lucy compared to his girlfriend Aquarius. Going back to the whole “being owned and treated like a tool by Angel alongside his other zodiac buddies” it is kinda interesting for him to date Aquarius who, not to compare Aquarius to celestial spirit abusers, is kinda a destructive force to everyone including her contractor Lucy (which is why her attacks sweeps everyone away no matter whom). No clue how their relationship works out either, Awuarius seems like a totally different person when she’s with Scorpio, while Scorpio doesn’t change at all. Scorpio is considered a loyal characteristic in astrology (i think. I’m trying not to go too deep), so it’s kinda surprising Scorpio would actually cheat on Aquarius. He did kinda feel ashamed or awkward in the GMG arc, but later after that he still calls her his girlfriend she they never broke up. If Loke can advice Aries on strategy, well then I think Scorpio should speak up for Lucy against Aquarius. Considering he was being treated badly by other celestial mages until Lucy (albeit the writing failed to show Scorpio in a normal/casual setting where Lucy isn’t using him as an attack tool 😐 but let’s pretend the writing is good), it stands to reason that Scorpio could reason with Aquarius to “take it easy” on Lucy. Also he should have venom idc if snake boi has it too.

Wow. I wrote a lot about Scorpio lore despite him being one of the least developed celestial spirits. I sure do have priorities (wtf is wrong with me).

Capricorn is tricky since he can easily tell Lucy about her mother Layla since he’s worked with her, but the manga doesn’t really care… so… missed opportunity. Him dancing with Lucy shows he’s actually gonna know how to make Lucy feel at home because he was from her home unlike Virgo. They should honestly just talk.

I had my first communion and confirmation today, been waiting a super long time for this. After coming back to being catholic and doing 6 months of RCIA, and 26 years, i can take the host, so that's cool.

I was super nervous and messed up in front of everybody twice. But overall was fine. Wish i'd remembered what they said when they called me by my saints name. But it was nice. Tho the church did learn my legal name after months of my preferred name so that sucked.

My sponsor carla got me a gift 🥺 got me a miraculous medal, a prayer book, an interesting lil shrine pic of jesus, and a printed out picture and prayer for saint melangell, my confirmation saint. She's an intense woman but im so happy she got me through this.

So glad i finally got this done, tired of feeling like a little kid any time i go to family events when we go up to take the host lol. I wish i'd had somebody else there with me but sadly i have to hide my personal life there. But i had my sponsor and my RCIA group, and it was nice! Anxiety really tried to take me out today, but i did it! I'm confirmed!
