Thinking about how Wade has to eat while doing something or else he just... can't.

Logan first noticed it about 4 days into moving in. That Wade will watch stuff on his phone or eat in the living room in front of the tv. There's no in-between.

One day, he makes dinner and sets the table, him and Al, sitting there, ready to eat, but Wade is hesitant. He sat down just fine but when it came to actually eating he just... stares.

He starts talking, rambling, ranting about anything. He even asks Logan to tell him a story about something, any war, anyone. "You ever meet anyone really cool? Like Elvis or something?"

"Not particularly." He mutters after swallowing.

He starts picking at his fingers in his lap. His foot is tapping, and he feels so guilty. He watches as Al finishes her plate, talking about how delicious it was and thanks him.

And Wade thinks so. The food is simple. It doesn't smell bad either. So why can't he just eat it? It's not like it was bad. Logan wouldn't feed him expired food or make him bad stuff on purpose.

'It's just pasta. Come on, you love pasta' he tries to tell himself but cant seem to actually put any food in his mouth.

Every time he tries, he ends up just putting it back down.

Eventually, there are tears in his eyes.

"Wade..? What's wrong?"

He shakes his head, smiling that bullshit grin he gives when he doesn't know how to explain the fact that his brain was screaming at him that he didnt deserve the food, trying to conviece him that it was rotten, convience him that he was being poisoned or that if he ate this something bad would happen.

But now he's between a rock and a hard place because if he doesn't eat Logan will think he hates his cooking and will leave. He'll move out.

And what if he takes puppins with him? What if he thinks hes a bad dog dad because obviously if he cant feed himself how will he take care of puppins? What if he-

"Wade!"

He jumps a bit, looking at him with big watery eyes.

Something in Logan's concerned face makes him feel worse. ".. y-yeah?"

There's silence.

Logan then sighs, his shoulders falling, scooting over with his plate as he sits next to him.

"... Have I ever told you about the time I accidently blew myself up and Rodgers laughed at me?"

He shakes his head, staring at him. "S-stevie laughed at you?"

Logan nods, beginning to tell the story.

And just like that?

Wade's fork finally reaches his mouth, sometimes glancing down at his plate, but mainly keeping his attention on Logan, smiling and interjecting at times.

He needed distraction.

From the meanies in his head that much preferred the words of a story or tv show then to be alone in the quiet.

"Wait wait wait-" he says, his plate already half cleared, about to shove some more in his mouth. "You sniffed it out and STILL stepped on it??"

"Heh.. yeh.. well. That's what happens when your stuck in a trench."

"Did it stink in there?" Another bite.

"It was terrible. That's why I couldn't smell the mines." He jokes, smirking as Wade laughs, covering his mouth.

Going to stab another piece he realizes that its gone. With another guilty look, he glances to the plate then to the stove, and Logan last.

"Is... is there more?"

Logan knew better then to question him. He had to do something similar with Kurt, talking him through his first few full meals. He didnt believed someone like him deserved fancy mansion food.. well.... Logan didn't either that first week. But Chuck was there.

And now Logan was there for Wade.

Funny how that came full circle..

"Yeah." He gets up, bringing him the entire pot, pouring another helping onto his plate, Watching as Wade shoveled some more in his mouth with a grin.

"So- Mmh- Pars uh yu jus' wen evrwhre??"

Logan smiles, now its his turn to laugh. "Not quite. But sure as hell felt like it."

“it’s not about canon fucking capital!” nandor spits in the air between them. guillermos jaw drops a bit, and it all starts to feel like a bit of a sick joke to nandor. its never easy, not with guillermo.

he shifts and narrows his eyes. “being a janitor had its good moments,” nandor admits. “i liked being the barrier between the cleanliness of productivity and the filth of failure. also those paper towels were very powerful, they didnt even leave any streakies!

“but…” nandor lets his shoulders drop and he suddenly cant look at guillermo. “being around humans all day is kind of shitty.”

guillermo huffs. “trust me, hanging around vampires all the time isnt all its cracked up to be either. ya know, i spent so many years cleaning up shit and say what you will about panera but atleast cleaning toilets there got me a free pastry-“

“why do you always leave me?”

it shocks them both into silence. guillermos jaw clicks shut while nandor hunches his shoulders, as though he could curl away from his own confession. he was literally commanding an army, but here was where words failed him.

guillermo swallows. “leave you? im right here.”

“no you are not,” nandor hisses. “you are with celeste and then you are with derrick and then it is freddie and laszlo and now you are with jordan.” he steps forward, which makes guilermo step back. conquering lands, even here and now.

“why must you always leave? why do you want to leave, and why do i want you to stay? it was not like this with other familiars, ill have you know!”

nandor thinks about all the snide comments made by laszlo and nadja over the years. their familiars were always easy come, easy go. but guillermo was always there. he would misplace an ugly sock or leave his toothbrush in the open.

guillermo has always been different. guillermo has always been the exception.

it makes all the leaving he does very painful. nandor doesnt know why.

“other familiars don’t pledge almost half their lives to one master,” guillermo counters. “other familiars wouldve left a long fucking time ago.”

it takes everything in nandor not to shudder at being referred to as master by guillermo. “i dont give a shit about other familiars. not even my own old familiars. they were just… blips in the radar.”

“and me?” guillermo whispers, finally reclaiming the ground covered by nandor and placing them almost chest to chest. “fifteen years for a vampire doesnt seem like much of anything.”

“you were my purpose, guillermo,” he says. “to make you into a fucking cool vampire. and then you decided it wasnt actually what you wanted and after that annoying ceremony that i put a lot of hard work into, you wanted to leave again. so now i have no familiar, no purpose because you are not a vampire. i have nothing.”

guillermo stays quiet for many seconds and nandor can see his eyebrows twitching in thought. it had been so long since nandor has stood this close to guillermo so if nothing else, the proximity was a nice touch

“my purpose was to be turned into a vampire, by you,” guillermo says. “and then i realized it would never happen unless i did something, so i did. but it doesnt change the fact that i spent so many years knowing that i…” he swallows and to nandors delight, his cheeks turn crimson under shitty lighting. “i was meant to be yours, turned by you.”

“you are driving me crazy,” nandor says quietly. “i do not know why you keep leaving me and why i care so much. you really hurt me, you know! every time you leave it hurts!”

“i know why i keep leaving,” guillermo says. “and i think i know why you want me to stay so bad. the reasons are pretty similar, if i had to guess.”

“tell me,” nandor growls, his hands coming up to grip guillermos biceps so that he cannot flee, not again. “tell me.”

with the same drive behind the words that would compel weaker men, guillermo looks up at him, and before nandor can even think about speaking again, guillermo surges up and crashes their lips together with his hands tangled in nandors hair and knocking the head piece off in the process.

before it can even begin, guillermo pulls away. he is panting and then pulling a vibrating telephone out of his pocket. nandor watches with blazing eyes

“its jordan…” he trails off, looking thoughtful while nandor feels murderous.

a small smile creeps onto his face as the still vibrating phone goes back into his pocket. “but I’ve got better things to do.”

guillermo smiles at nandor and for once, he looks settled, not ready to bolt. nandor knows the same expression is reflecting on his face as well.

as he makes his move towards a willing guillermo, he hopes the camera crew is more engrossed with whatever antics nadja and laszlo and colin robinson have gotten into.

- They’re the yapper listener duo. They’re BOTH yappers, to be so clear, but Warriors will listen to whatever Wind wants to tell him, and he’ll make sure to ask a few questions too which makes Wind so so happy because then he knows Wars was really listening

- Wars has had to quickly put a hand on Wind’s shoulder and steer him in another direction to stop him from walking off a cliff, into a tree, straight into a lake, etc. before. several times

- I hc Wars’s hair is naturally pretty curly and while he DOES straighten it, he also knows how to care for curly hair. Wind’s hair is a hell of a lot curlier than his is, and Wind just has no idea what he’s doing so he’s kept it short because that was just easier to manage despite the fact that he doesn’t like it, and Warriors taught him how to care for it so it wouldn’t turn into a tangled mess

- Wars can cook like. 6 total meals (because he eats the same six things and didnt feel the need to learn how to make anything else) but he and Wild both tried to make Wind’s favorite dish from back home when he was feeling sad one day, and it wasn’t the same but Wind loved it so much Wars had to make it again. And again. And again, until eventually it became a seventh safe dish for him

- I hc Wars’s first language is the hyrulian equivalent of portuguese and Wind’s is spanish, and they’re similar ENOUGH that they can sort of understand each other (the number of years between their eras and how languages change over time has added in a few complications as well)

- Wind can cuddle up next to Wars in the middle of the night (after kicking his foot a few times and as long as Wars is at least 25% awake and not completely unconscious) without ever having to fear spooking him and getting punched, and it IS partially to do with how short he is and Wars’s barely awake brain will just register him as “child”, but also he just has such distinct mannerisms that Wars can usually just figure out its him. Time and Twi both have accidentally gotten punched before and Wind rubs this in their faces

- Wars cannot swim for shit but he refuses to let Wind know this because he knows he’ll never hear the end of it

- Legend and Wars BOTH know how to sew and will mend the chain’s clothes, but Wind always goes to Wars because he knows Wars won’t grumble and complain about him when he LITERALLY hovers over his shoulder the entire time and just watches because he’s curious

- Wind one time challenged Wars to a race and beat him and chooses only the most annoying times to bring this up, and it completely crushes Wars’s ego every time. He got beat by a kid 14 years younger than him, he lays awake thinking about it sometimes

- Wars gave Wind a journal to help organize his thoughts because thats what works for him, and the two of them love learning so much they will point out cool new exciting things to each other as they walk through new eras

- Wind is an older brother and even though Wars is twice his age he will be unable to resist the big brother urge to take care of people and he’ll go cheer him up. He doesn’t understand what Wars went through, and he has no idea whats causing Wars to struggle with EVER because Warriors will not tell him, but Wind just coming to sit by him and draw near him means so much to Wars that it really does end up cheering him up a bit. At the very least, listening to Wind draw is grounding enough to help give him something to tether himself to

#1 Starlo's name is uncool on purpose might literally mean 'Starloser' It fits his character arc. In other words, he's not the cool, badass sheriff he pretends to be (he's not 'North Star'), but a kind, friendly farmer inside

#2 He definitely DOES care about Clover. Why else would he keep saying he's proud of them, praise them, believe in them, get worried about their safety, send them a warning letter, immediately run to check what's going on with them, get angry at Clover for not staying HOME (yeah he really did consider the Wild East their home) tell Martlet to bring Clover to safety, and jump at Ceroba to try and protect them? don't question the love of star daddy

#3 Undyne actually IS a badass. Starlo isn't. He's a softie who cares about pretending to be cool bc he's insecure, even when in a situation where he could die. He wants to be a hero. He wants to be SOMEBODY, not a NOBODY. Maybe he also cared about his own status more than his town, friends and family (which could be the reason he brought a bb gun). Or he just wanted to buy time so the others could hide. Now that I think about it, it's the latter. Why else would Dina say this in genocide after you kill Ceroba: "He was more of a hero than you'll ever be." That's the whole point of his geno fight that, and a lil bit of angst when roba finds him dying IT'S CALLED CHARACTERIZATION

#4 He kidnaps Clover bc they're a human. The only human who's ever set foot on the sands of the Wild East. He's obsessed with human culture. His whole life ARE westerns. Why? Whether it's the sense of justice cowboys represent, the exciting lives they live, or both, Starlo feels like he matters thanks to this nerdy interest, like he can contribute to his community

#5 i see Martlet as a big sis not a mom bc of how young she is, despite that one joke in bits & bites, but to each their own Star jails Martlet bc of the potential of the Wild East getting shut down. She did threaten to report them to Asgore and well... according to him, better safe than sorry. He even admitted he doesn't feel right doing it

#6 It WAS wrong of him to blame and attack Clover like that, all for his own status and ego (and to get his friends back) It's called a flawed character making a fucking mistake. Or did you expect someone perfect, with no room to grow and develop throughout the piece of media? Also, Clover is not an infant, they're a child. If it was meant to be a joke, it ain't funny bucko

#7 he either actually forgot about the fact he himself kidnapped Clover bc he wasn't in the right mindset (understandable), or purposefully ignored the information to avoid responsibility for his actions & shift the blame onto Clover (he IS flawed and thats more than ok)

#8 in neutral, he doesn't apologize bc Ceroba doesn't come and snap him out of his fantasy & mindset

#9 he did his best with the apology. you can't blame starlo. He's not very good with expressing himself and emotions in general (that he has been avoiding for so long via escapism; he also uses escapism to help Ceroba instead of talking openly with her)

#10 he doesn't know how the ceroba & clover interaction played out bc he was unconscious. Maybe he thought Clover had managed to talk her outta fighting. He says in true pacifist "Yall had a fight?? and the deputy won??" In other words he didnt know they had even fought. To add fuel to the fire, his bff just died and star, being the forgiving sweetheart he is, had wanted to give her a chance at redemption, but never got the chance to. He never got the chance to say goodbye, either.

#11 just bc starlo's an adult doesn't mean he can't have these flaws/behaviors. Every individual is unique. Starlo is deff deeply insecure and most likely autistic, too. Please think about that in the future, thank you

Everything your around he always gets super quiet and anxious and his face is very clearly red, his heads down and he always fiddles with his fingers and sleeve trying his best to make himself look small.

EVERY SINGLE TIME you talk to him his stutters and tics get super bad and it makes him frustrated cause he feels like you'll be weirded out. But when you don't care he can't help but feel butterflies in his stomach.

I fucking adore your comic panelling, any advice on how to do it? Like specific ratios or ways to divide the page?

god there's so much advice i COULD give but i really dont wanna end up writing a book here. so I guess I'll say this: however you divide the page you should be CONSISTENT with it, i literally just learned/internalized this but it's made comic paneling soo much easier. when you break that consistency it will be more impactful. hold up lemme grab some pages.

so i recently started making loose stitches a 4 tier comic. it's not the exact same for each page cuz i'm lazy but i think it's made legibility way better. before i think it was kinda uhhhhh a little all over the place. not BAD but a little difficult to tell where your eyes supposed to go sometimes. which isnt great for a commic.

the page on the left in particular has always bothered me cuz i always read the top panels incorrectly and it's like. fuck man what is the paneling here why is it in two columns ????? that's so hard to understand. but the page on the right can be more or less easily understood (by someone who knows how to read comics) even without panel borders because it's just a simple 4 panel square.

one thing my comic professor really stressed was that he didn't like weird paneling or weird borders. for the most part, a square is fine. AND HE'S RIGHT. weird paneling is fun and cool but should be used sparingly or with intention, cuz if you do it too much then like. how tf are ppl gonna read your comic.

that being said there are a lot of cool ways to cut up panels even if they're just squares hold on lemme grab some examples

so the panels here are all square but the image in the one at the bottom is almost like a mural. one thing i really like to using is a lot of heavy BLACK, what can i say silhouette's have my entire heart.

in my fable comic, I used a 3 tier system. it wasn't the same exact size across all pages but all pages had 3 tiers of paneling. that way i can be a little more flexible with the SIZE of the panels to emphasize the more important things, without it feeling like it's all over the place

meanwhile in my comic final i used a 4 tier system where each tier was nearly the same across every page, but you can collapse tiers together for establishing shots and big reveals so that they're more impactful. it's still fully within the grid system I set up so it doesn't feel like it's messing with shit either.

ok i just spent a lot of time rambling about this one particular concept and it's probably not even what you wanted to hear about :') i didnt even go into ratios or anythinggg guhhhh sowwy

other than all that i'd just say you gotta keep looking at what comic artists have written and take note of how they use space and cut things up. there's this book called How To Read Nancy and it has all these exercises for understanding the building blocks of nancy. for real the author is OBSESSIVE and goes through everything of a 3 panel nancy strip from body language to spot blacks to the minutia of the background. we used this book in my class and did some of the exercises in the back and i think it's really good at getting you to THINK about what you're drawing. and you can easily pirate it if you're broke.

also try to make sure things dont get stagnant on a page. zoom out if you're only doing close ups (i try to make sure every page of loose stitches has at least one full body shot even tho I'm lazy and wanna just do talking heads- talking heads arent interesting!!)

also, take advantage of the fact you're drawing a COMIC. you can do shit in comics that you can't do in other mediums, try to implement them when u can! ALSO PRACTICE. you're not gonna get better just by reading and watching. you gotta do it lol. ok ok that's enough and you didn't even ask for that stuff you asked about PANELING sfdasfsd byeee

Metal fight beyblade was the beyblade show i had known my entire life and was a big fan of so i wanted to see the other beyblade shows with it and for some reason i watched beyblade burst before bakuten shoot ????? Yeah that 7 season show i only liked the very first season of… the rest was so boring and for some reason i forced myself to watch it by using it as background noise😭

idk why i didnt give up and watch bakuten instead, took me too long lmfao. Th reason why i mentioned metal fight is that since i knew that show my entire life i had certain expectations on certain type of characters (ik bakuten came first but metal couldve been influenced by it and it was bcs there are similarities lol) (i mean king [from bakuten] looks almost identical to dynamis [from mfb] <- thats just one example) so i thought, while i was watching season 1, Kai Hiwatari was gonna be like Kyouya Tategami where hes with the team yes but doesnt see himself as a part of it and is there for himself only bcs hes a loner or whatever but then that thing at the end of the season happened he became a part of the team and the didnt have random unnecessary off screen character regression like kyouya did in the next 2 seasons (and also isnt an asshole abt it like when he left temporarily to battle takao in g revulotion he wasnt like “fuck you dumbass” like kyouya did basically 😭😭)….

That was so refreshing to see bcs thats not what i was expecting and thank god it exceeded my expectations 😭 thats why i keep saying kai is kyouya done right bcs he kinda is…. Though i find it funny when hes just standing in the background w his arms crossed or laying on the grass like damn bro wants to be cool so bad (not as cool as the frame of rei kon absolutely BALLING)

It was a rainy day at the BAU. A very rainy day. The team members each sat at their own desk, quietly working away. But y/n, he was distracted- he had long since abandoned his paperwork for staring out the tall rectangular windows, longing to be feeling the effects of the rain pouring down on him. Every once in a while he would close his eyes and imagine the feeling of the cool raindrops pelting his skin.

Spencer, whose desk was closest to y/ns, was the first to notice y/n’s distracted state. Spencer decided to take the opportunity to talk to the man he had loved for years, but never told.

“Hey y/n, whats got you so distracted? are you okay?” there was that small knit between spencers brows that he always got when he was worried, which was a lot. Y/n thought this to himself, often being the one who noticed things like that about spencer. But y/n wouldn’t help himself, he was in love and it was involuntary.

Y/n’s attention was pulled away from the pattering rain outside by spencers question. “oh- y’a im fine spence, i was just distracted by the rain.” When y/n talks of the rain theres a fondness in his voice like that of someone talking about an old friend. “You know- i wish i could be out there right now. Id love to feel the rain on my skin.” very time y/n tries to put his attention back on spencer, hes drawn back to the window. Spencer notices y/ns fondness of the rain and decides to take advantage of the cluelessness of those around him and says to y/n with a mischievous smile “let’s go!” and offers up his hand to y/n, his palm open waiting for y/ns. Y/n looks at spencer confused for a moment and spencer elaborates; “out there!” with an excited gesture towards the rain pattering against the window, and then continues; “You obviously wanna go out there, no ones looking and i finished my paperwork 20 minutes ago!” Spencer gives up on waiting for y/n and just takes his hand pulling him up, out of his seat, and towards the big glass doors.

When the pair finally reach the front doors, y/n is the one to push them open. Having long since abandoned the idea of actually getting any work done for the rest of the day. Y/n pulls spencer by the arm out into the rain- and as y/n spread his arms out and loaded up with his eyes closed, quiet literally soaking in the rain. He found himself staring intently at Y/n, admiring everything about the man he’d come to love. Admiring the way the rain soaked his eyelashes, and the H/C hair that stuck to his forehead.

finally y/n opened his eyes again, only to find spencer staring at him. Spencer noticed Y/ns awareness of him and his cheeks went red. he looked down and y/n said “what you staring at goofball?” (y/n had almost immediately taken to calling spencer goofball when they met, and spencer never corrected him). Spencer felt a surge of reckless confidence surge through him and said “you.” without thinking. spencer, being the man he is- almost immediately regretted this action.but what took him by surprise was when y/n took spencers chin softly and pushed it up with his fingertips. In that moment the two made intense eye contact.

“ I love you y/n- i cant help myself..”

spencer trailed off at first but when y/n didnt respond he started nervously rambling. But Y/n was still processing the fact that the man he had loved for years, but never even considered the fact that he might love him back- was telling y/n that he loved him. When y/n could finally speak again he said;

“Stop.”

with a gentle sternness to his voice. And spencer stopped what he was saying and looked up at y/n desperately hoping that’s he hadn’t ruined the relationship with his best friend. But instead of yelling or screaming or telling spencer to never talk to him again, he simply said;

“I love you too goofball.”

and there they stood together, drenched to the bone, forehead to forehead. hands on each-other’s others hips.

He can't go outside when it's sunny (doesnt really matter, he doesnt go outside anyway), doesnt need to sleep (an improvement, he barely does so anyway), and while he can eat human food it's not filling and not nutritious (also barely matters, he mostly eats junk food cause he doesn't have the time to cook for himself). He didnt even turn pale like in most vampire media (i just dont like this trope in general, also i dont want to make ian White)

All that really changes is that he has fangs, and he has to drink blood now

He ignores the fact that his heart stopped beating cause he's dead, and how anxious he gets whenever he has to go out at night to check on his mom, especially near dark alleyways cause what if someone attacks him again

He keeps the neck wound hidden. It's ugly and bruised cause he was struggling and trying to escape-

He ends up drinking blood from blood banks, which he knows is pretty shitty but it's more accessible and he doesnt want to make people go what he went through

He only drinks a little at a time, and eats human food to make him slightly less hungry (very slightly)

He also learns he can hear other people's heartbeats from far away, which is very cool and useful for his job, but also very bad cause he's hungry and he can't just go and feed on the patients

ada eventually notices that ian's being more withdrawn than usual so she goes down to the basement to check on him

ian was planning to isolate himself from people by working so ada going down to the basement was Not good.

Ada asks if he's okay. He can't answer cause he can hear her heart, beating loud and clear

He thinks about his own unbeating heart

Ada tries touching his shoulder, but he flinches and moves away from her.

she's really concerned at this point, and ian is...so, so, tired. he can't really keep this secret anymore, and he needs help

he tells her that something happened to him, but refuses to elaborate. he says that he'll explain later, when the hospital isnt so busy.

Ian brings her to the blood bank, and drinks nearly an entire bag in front of her

So ian confesses that he somehow turned into a vampire a few months ago. He's been trying to feed himself without hurting anyone, but it's getting really hard to do so.

Ada stands there for a moment and goes 'okay i can give you some of my blood then'

Ian is shocked at how easily she believes him, and is torn between admiring and being concerned at how easily she offers to do this

(Ian: you believe me? Just like that???

Ada: you drank blood in front of me ian. Humans don't do that. With everything that goes around the hospital i stopped being surprised)

After a talk, ian agrees. But only if ada takes care of herself afterwards. He feels very guilty of making ada give up a literal part of herseld when she does so much for the hospital

(They use needles to do this because ian is not sure if biting her neck would turn her into a vampire or not. Also it feels Wildly uncomfortable)

Ian becomes....a bit overprotective over ada's health after that. He insists on buying food for her ("I don't need to eat human food anymore. Besides, you're giving me something to eat, let me return the favor), making sure that she gets a nap every once in a while ("I don't need sleep, and clearly you do"), and making sure she is as fine as she could be while they're short staffed

Ada tries taking care of herself more, but because she needs to be healthy to work and to be able to give ian blood. Ian doesnt like that she refuses to care for herself For herself but. Baby steps

Ian wants to cover her shift sometimes, but ada refuses. Ian isn't really good with the patients, and ada's scared that if edega sees her work less in the hospital he'll fire her. Ian doesn't like it, but agrees to her reasoning

(A part of him wonders if his overprotectiveness is part of being a vampire. He doesnt want to get possessive of her, but he's just so concerned about her)

I feel like a lot of post I've seen about guillermo choosing to be human have never been in a situation where theyve wanted something so bad that they not only lose sight of why they wanted it but become so absorbed in not having it that they do something stupid about getting it. And that sounds like a very specific thing to feel but it happens in real life with in the most ordinary circumstances. And then when you finally have The Thing you realize it's not what you want or that you wanted it for the wrong reasons or weren't ready for it or all of the above. And I can't explain how normal it is to make such a sharp turn towards giving it up because it doesn't work for you/feel like you.

Just to put that feeling in a real life, non vampire sense, when I was in high school I really wanted a job. It seemed like all my friends had jobs and the idea of having my own money sounded fantastic, especially coming from a low income home where I hesitated to ask for things because I didn't feel they were immediately necessary or necessary at all in the light of our finances. So I applied several places (literally any place that was hiring) and every time I got a rejection email I felt so deflated and so brushed off and more importantly I felt like I wasn't worth anyone's time. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was when I got a call back from this hot dog place. I never really at there much but a job is a job. That's how viewed it and I wanted it so bad because I felt like I had so many things to prove, as a student, as a worker and as a functional person. So I go to the interview and I get the job. It was in the summer so I didn't have school and I worked in the mornings and evenings part time. And immediately it was not what I thought it was going to be. But I figured that was part of it yaknow getting to know a new place can be rough. But on the second or third day the owner dude of the restaraunt (who literally does nothing but come in and tell the workers shit) he comes in while I was doing dishes and keep in mind this is one of the first times I've done dishes in a restaurant environment (and if you've ever worked in food service you know there's a very specific way to wash dishes) so the dude comes in sees I'm doing it wrong and yells at my manager for not properly teaching me how to do something. The manager then tells me to ask if I don't know how to do something (I thought I was doing it right) and there were several incidences where he would come in and yell at somebody (and I'm talking have a full out burst) for something mediocre.

I remember this one time he came in and yelled at us because we left the back door open a Crack because the air conditioner wasn't working (it didn't work the whole Two months I was there). He said it was a hazard as someone random could come in and cause problems. And I would agree if it was sumer, over 100 degrees EVERYDAY EVEN AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN AND IF WE DIDNT HAVE TWO STOVES TWO FRIERS AND A BOILING WATER STATION TO KEEP THINGS HOT. I literally went home every day dehydrated from sweating so much and that not an exaggeration AND WE WERENT ALLOWED TO HAVE DRINKS ALL WE HAD WAS A LIL CUP TO GET SOFT DRINKS FROM. So yeah I didn't work there very long. So not only was the boss a total freak wad (the managers were cool tho), I just felt so horrible at everything I was doing there. I would get told how not to do things on the daily and I would beat myself up about it. There were times were I would try not to cry because how badly I felt about myself and the job I was doing because of how many times I had to be told how to do things. I felt stupid, and the fact that my friends and people my age could do this everyday with out problems ONTOP of school made me feel worse. I would literally come home and cry because of how horrible being there made me feel. It bothered me so much that I've hesitated getting another job after that and now that I'm looking for a job to pay for college I feel so much anxiety about it being like that again. And I've sworn off food service cause fuck that. Everyone who works a food service/customer service jobs everyday of their lives deserves a metal of Valor bc goddam idk how you do it. So when it got to much for me I made an impulsive decision to quit and I did and I never went back. But I felt like shit afterwords about being so vocal about getting a job and then not being able to handle it, but it was a lot better than being there.

That was a very long winded way if saying I sympathize with guillermo and I understand him completely and how humiliating it can feel to be in that position. And I'm glad nandor and the crew was nice about it cause I felt it in my soul.

AND THEN THERE WAS THE INTRODUCTION OF JIN. Marin and gojou are unironically really cute. theres actual chemistry there. i like how at the beginning gojou sees marin as the epitome of what he lacks, she is open about her weird intrests and loved for them. gojou thinks he innately lacks something she has, making it impossible for him to have friends+ interests, but though tout s1 thanks to marins charisma and people starting to see gojous talent he finds more friends and people who appreciate his work. he doesn't innately lack anything and his biggest mistake was entirely giving up on finding friends.

and so it begun, my hobbee of finding anime i herd was bad and watching it to try to find some sort of narrative warrant within it.

"why is he to into that idol lol" to "HES FUCKING DEAD??" to "HES REBORN??????" to "HE CAN TALK????" to "freud couldnt even edge to this. straight up EXPLODED. clean up isle, his pants" to "what do you mean you being a girl before you were reborn means our privlaged to suck you moms tits what the actual fuck" to "waow they scared that babysitter" to "they wouldbe so cooked if their mom didnt asume they were smart" to "waow aqua is a lil freak i love him" to "waow shes really intersting and her trama responce allowing her to seced in her carreir while making her feel shalow is intersting" to "SHES FUCKING DEAD???" i ranted to my friend about it for about an hour and my voice was so score from walking laps while screaming about hoe W E R I D some lines were. didnt even bring up other eps. like i said they were fine but wow.

a while into the year i remembered a manga i really liked as a kid had an anime now, AND IT WAS DUBBED!!

i loved new game as a queer kid who would latch on to any media with wlw relationships. the anime was as i expected, same as th books. i didnt dislike it but it was more then a little boring. i think a lot of Kou and Rin's relationship was really queerbaity but ig not bc it got canonized at the end, witch is awesome. i havent watched or read it but hey we take a win. honestly i might pick it up again someday for the nostalgia.

THE FIRST ARC ALONEE pissed me off so much. idc enough to google their names so hair color timee. ok ok the premiss was actually really cute. brunette dudes childhood friend(ginger) moveds back and has a crush on brunette but has no idea how to confess. brunette is oblivios and ginger is already a quite person so like ok theres a plot there this could be cute. episode 2 ends with ginger kissing brunette after brunette told him to stop and tried to push him off. then this bitch ass ginger threatens to end their friendship if if he cant (AND I QUOTE)"do whatever he wants to him" what gets me about the show is how realistic some of the reactions are. brunette is torn because he cares about their friendship but dosent want to be, like, assaulted more. he plays it off as a joke to keep the peace. i cannot express how accurately this depicts abuse, its what got me to sit tough so much of it. it was uncomfortable to watch but i told myself i would see it as a depiction of abuse and not a romance, because i under that context i genuinely think there may have been something to gleen from this narrative. ginger is mad at brunette for having friends so he threatens to abandon bruntte if he doesnt let him assult him again, and god the reluctant agreement from brunette hurt me. acceptance isnt enough for ginger, hes mad that brunette cant force himself to have feeling for him so ginger insults him in the worst way he can think of and ditches school for 2 days. maybe im projecting. the writing didnt seem to intend for this so come off as manipulative, as something to break down brunette till he accepts this reality. but can you blame me for sympathizing with brunette confiding in his other friend, clearly distressed, and being told in responce that it was his fault.h brunette's friend says hes wrong and brunette is the one who forced ginger to kiss him. i dont think its wrong at all to see brunette 'realize hes been wrong the whole time' and goes to ginger seemingly of his own will; and think this is a story where someone is broken down until desperation or stalkhome leads them to accept their abuse. there's no love there, its not a happy ending and writing about it makes me sick. but its feels realistic. normally i avoid seeing myself in fiction, but i couldn't help but relate to brunette enough where i had to take breaks while watching hmh because it made me sick. and that was the first arc. when i realized the rest of the show would be the student-teacher relationship with a 12 year age gap i decided 7 or so eps in i would drop the anime bc i genuinely couldn't handle it.

hmh moved me emotionally, it was impactful and i didn't want to end my quest for good anime. somewhere out there their had to be a school live! or a talentless nana i haddnt watched yet. i finally figured out how to find the stuff i loved watching! looking though lists for tropes or tags, usually older more underground stuff. its hard to describe but i have a watch-list witch brings us to now. its my junior year and i love anime. heres a list of animes ive watched recently, completed or not, and some thoughts on them!

it reminded me of discourse i saw in 2022 over if femboy was derogatory to trans women. i see the argument, i really do, but honestly, i(a trans boy) LOVE the femboy/trap trope. first of all: 1st of all i like that feminine guys / gender nonconformity is thought to be generally cool within anime places(like even Facebook lowkey homophobic groups). second of all, i see where people see some "femboys" in anime as tras girl, its based like u do u boo. bu i think aspect of the femboy/trap trope are relatable to transmasc ppl too. for 1, there is literally NO transmasc anime. do not come at me with the guy in wandering son or that one mha character you know damn well thats not what i mean. in my quest for tboy rep i realized how much i realted to femboy characters. i too, constantly get mistaken for a girl and have the ability to embrace it or be upset about it. i will die on this hill but honestly cisgender 'trap' characters are better transmasc rep then any actual transmascs ive seen in anime just bc they are more interesting characters.

all that to say: i stated my teenage romantic comady SNAFU. its really good, very funny. Saika is litttrally me if i played sports. good times.

i also started princess jellyfish! Tsukimi is LITTRALLY ME!! no but for real i love this show i love how Tsukimi isnt conventually atractive. i love seeing her be autistic about jellyfish with her NEET roommates. i love her relationship with her mom.

and to wrap it up, the other day i binge watched another. its incredible and one of the best examples of how horror should be done imo. it doesnt rely on jumpscares, its keeps you on the edge of your seat every episode. SPOILERS AHEAD!!: i love how the veiwer is convinced mei is undead or somthing like that along with Kouichi, and when mei confims shes alive hes even an0olages he(and we) thought otherwise. not only that but i love mei in genrel. i love how she is just a freak and there isnt a lore reason. why does she watch the other students from afar? shes just like that. why is she so pale? shes just like that. shes just a weird little thing. why does she not run when somone is comming at her with a knife??? shes just like that. why does she withold the fact she knows who the dead person is when she could have saved lifes by specking up? she doesnt talk much. the fact she went into the whole exposition of the "i see dead things" bc of her doll eye and thats why she should be trusted to know who the dead person and only withi the last 15 mins of the last ep is like "o also i saw her fall in a lake" ?????? you couldnt have like??? started with that???? god i love her.

shiro had been having nightmares lately.

these nightmares always left him in a state of pure fright, with him bolting up in bed, eyes darting frantically around at his sleeping quarters on the atlas, body covered in a cold sweat, tears pricking the corners of his eyes.

he didn’t tell anyone about these nightmares, for he knew that if he told, he would be coddled like he was when he was younger and had the muscle disease. adam, the doctors, iverson, his grade school teachers, his parents and older sister, they all treated him like he was some type of frail object. he hated being treated like he wasn’t capable of doing things, making decisions on his own.

he was able to prove them all wrong, though, by beating the odds. first it was that he wouldn’t make it past his first hour of life, then three years, then eight, then thirteen… now he’s twenty-six, and still proving everyone wrong with the shit that he’d been through in space.

but, maybe, this is catching up to him…

he’s stopped by keith in the hallways of the atlas one slow afternoon (or, what seemed like afternoon, they were in space and time doesn’t really matter when you’re in space). he had given the crew a day off and had gotten caught up on a much needed rest–not sleeping, of course, but resting nonetheless–in that time.

“hey, shiro,” keith chirps, a little peppier than usual, “i need to go over some upgrades to our lions that pidge requested.”

shiro smiles at his best friend and nods, successfully masking his lack of sleep. “yeah, sure, we can do that now.”

“great, uh, did you wanna go to the bridge?”

shiro suddenly feels as if his heart is about to burst out of his chest, but not in the good way. he breathes in slowly, then finds it difficult to push the breath back out of his lungs.

“…’ro?”

he looks up and sees keith’s concerned face, chest heaving.

“are you okay?” keith asks, putting a hand on his best friend’s shoulder to help comfort him.

shiro nods and steadies himself, breathing very slowly to help the pounding in his head. he makes a feeble attempt at a smile and leads keith to the bridge of the atlas to go over the plans.

it isn’t until the neighboring planet adjacent to the one they’re currently docked at attacks when the crew notices something’s wrong with their captain.

shiro’s kept his cool, he’s successfully masked his sudden symptoms; however, in this situation, the rest of the crew is focused not only on the attacking inhabitants, but also on the fact that their captain isn’t giving out the usual orders.

“captain, voltron and the mfes are having trouble with taking down the attacking ships,” veronica informs, “what are your orders?”

“um...” shiro starts, but it’s getting hard to concentrate on the panel in front of him when his vision is getting blurry around the edges.

“captain? are you alright?” curtis’ voice rips through the ringing in his ears, though it sounds muffled.

then, shiro collapses, breathing staggered and abnormally heavy. every attempt of breathing leaves his chest feeling like it’s fighting against something heavy. he hears coran and veronica next to him, veronica attempting to reassure him while coran tells iverson to call the medbay.

then, everything goes black...

shiro awakens a couple of hours later in the medbay, the bright lights almost blinding him as he slowly opens his eyes.

“look, he’s waking up!” someone says (the voice sounds like lance), and footsteps seem to come closer to his bed.

as he regains his vision, he sees team voltron, the mfes, and most of his bridge crew surrounding his bedside. keith and griffin are closest to him, with keith looking almost ready to cry.

“what...?” he starts, not registering until he speaks that there’s an oxygen mask on his face.

“you collapsed and were having trouble breathing,” keith explains, “but luckily, you had the bridge crew there to help you get to the medbay quickly. doctors said you wouldn’t have made it otherwise.”

“the...?”

“the inhabitants of the planet adjacent to us retreated once they realized they were outnumbered. luckily, we had pretty good allies on our side from the planet we’re currently docked at,” griffin reports.

“in fact,” allura speaks, “when they heard of your predicament, the empresses of vellion promised to join the coalition and help liberate planets alongside us. they’re starting with their sister planet next to them, but they say it’ll take some time.”

“that’s...” shiro takes a staggering breath, then continues. “that’s great...”

“now,” iverson comes up to his bedside next to keith, “rest up, captain. you definitely need it.”

“but who’s gonna-?”

“we’ll all do our part to make sure that the bridge is running smoothly in your absence,” veronica reassures, “but as iverson instructs, you need to rest.”

“...okay. thank you.”

as the others leave the room to go back to their respective duties, shiro smiles to himself and then gets some much needed sleep.

hurricanes coming on my brithday so time to dfo a chip ramble! (spoilers)

before we go in, yes itll be a multi ramble because i can since its my birthday tmrrr!! (im giving you guys a gift cause yes)

ok so i cannot stop thinking about how a lot of the time chip in mana was called "racist" it was like, something he wouldnt have known. the "are your horns real?" weird question, sure, but it doesnt really sound like it (THIS IS NOT ME TRYING TO UNDERMINE IT! if its racist, it doesnt matter how it sounds, it is racist.) would be that offensive. the special accent done when he was being "drip"? immediately shamed and not even told what he did wrong. as i noted, no, racism is racism, but it just seems like whenever chip fucks up, its called out upon and is never explained why its so terrible. and thats really what bothers me on it, because both times, its races that chip has never really hung out with (a tiefling [niklaus]) (chip was disguised as a triton yet used i guess a voice similar to a grung??? its confusing, and before you say "but chip knows felipe who was a grung!!" yes, thats why the 'never really' was added, because while he knew felipe he probs didnt know his culture and shit) and wouldnt have known what was considered offensive. and yes, they have every right to be mad, but if i said something fucked up, i would have a right to be explained why it was wrong. i dont know, maybe somewhere in me now chip probably while more cautious with his words, has some anxiety on what he says will be offensive and he'll get yelled at for it and shit (maybe self projection tjhough you can never tell).

while ive seen reasonable ideas of ollie and chip being like brothers, it means a lot to me that like, chip, who didnt really have a parental figure before and the closest he had was arlin, still tries to be a good dad to ollie. like, he knows ollie has an actual dad and mom who probably are worried sick about him, but hes out here with him. and the guilt must sting, but when that kid tries to get into some crazy plan of his crew mates and he sees that smile, he sees why theyd want this kid back. its like "i have barely a clue how to be a parent, let alone a good one, but i will try my best to be one for you here until we get you back home." and ollie sees it too, and i feel like ollie loves his sea dad (who he knows is super cool). i just, them

ya know how i used the "i arely know how to be a parent" thing? i kinda thought on it, and thats basically chip. "i barely know how to do this/be this, but ill try my best to do it right, for them". he wants to be a good pirate for arlin. he wants to be a good captain for his crew. (as i mentioned) he wants to be a good dad for ollie. he wants to be a good person and friend for jay and gill. he wants to fight this war for gillion and lizzie. and he wants to be the best chip he can, not just for his friends sake, but his own. he does it all with a purpose and while he has barely a clue how to, hes going to fucking try and with willpower and destijny, hell fucking do it.

a joke chip fact mentioned in ep 90 for chip was that hes lactose intolerant but he still drinks milk and i cannot like stop thinking about it. cause like, it makes sense. its not his craziest. when getting chased by a dangerous creature, he immediately becomes its "ideal mate" and gives himself "birthing hips" as like his first reaction. he became an old lady and tried to get his pinkie chopped off by the fucking child one time (it instead was done by gill...who used his big fucking sword. yeeouch). i just think about it cause chips insanity is only brought up when it comes to his plans. but, like, where is the crazy chip when his plan fails and he has to bullshit it?! wheres the talk for fucking "hot mode"?! where are the girlies that find it so silly and funny when a bad guy threatens chip and he just comes back like a fucking toddler?! chip is so silly and its just only discussed when chip has a stupid plan (DO NOT GET ME ON ABOUT "if you have another dream me and chip will kill the sun" which while said by gill, chip has no problem with it. like hes not questioning it) which is very sad imo

another thing btw about how chips "horrid plans" are always, like referred to be bad and fail, but he has had working plans and good (even if insane) plans! sure, hes very cringe fail, and he has had bad plans, but its not every plan that fails. his plan with cedric? worked pretty well. using the ball bearings to make that robot trip? gillion just failed his fucking blessing and got a nat 1. the old lady jay disguise? the navy general disguise? granted, some of the best working plans were disguise related, but even the risky one with the fucking suitcase and ollie had worked! so honestly, i was surprised (and still dont believe) when chip had to share a secret about himself and said hes never had a plan. because honestly? the fucking bullshit he thinks up has no right to be insanely well done improv. like, jay doesnt have to be "the one smart person on board" because theyve all had moments of smartness and yet only jay is shown it

anyways im losing ideas maybe ill ask the fnc guy for characters to ramble on lmao
