I'm really interested by how much people know/have heard about the supernatural in the tma universe, even if they don't believe in it.
Like, apparently Grifter's Bone is an urban legend, and "Anyone who’s written about music long enough has at least heard of [them]." That's so interesting! They're known! People talk about them, make jokes about them (and people who know the truth have to put up with it)!
Also, you have to imagine that a lot more people in the tma universe DO believe in the supernatural, even if they don't say it. I mean they have university courses on manifestations, idk. Surely there is more proof of the supernatural and genuinely unexplainable events because the supernatural,, genuinely exists. Like even if you could find a way to explain it away... It wouldn't be the actual truth. Like the supernatural very much exists and people experience it. Idk I'm not really going anywhere with this but. It's intriguing.
#every time i go to say something here i loose my ability to words#it's the curse#:(#(and the fatigue)#a mag a day#tma relisten#tma#the magnus archives#mag 42#grifter's bone#i heard ~60% of the population has had a brush with the supernatural even if it wasn't statement worthy#idk don't quote me on that i might have made it up

Too shy to tell you
miguel o’hara x fem!reader
Miguel hides your heals in hopes of making you forget you ever owned a pair...he confesses about his theft during a hot and heavy night of sex.
Warnings: This might be interpreted as possessive or an unhealthy bond. Though its supposed to be just a very shy and respectful Miguel who let's loose during sex.:]
Authors note: I am not a writer!! This is my first time righting fanfic.. like.. ever!!! So don't attack me. Though honest, constructive criticism is something that I would love to hear. Sorry if there are spelling mistakes. Also, I don't know how to put proper description..... enjoy!!!!
:::
"Miggy?" I call out to my boyfriend who's currently towering over the coffee machine, waiting for it to brew.
"Yes, my love?" He responds with a look over his shoulder.
"Have you seen my black pointed heals? I can't seem to find them."
"No. Have you checked by the door?" He was lying.
He was lying. He was lying, and he didn't feel bad about it. The truth was he had stuffed them in the highest cupboard of the laundry room. He knew you couldn't reach it. He liked it that way. He couldn't let you open it since he had stuffed at least 4 pairs of heals in there.
"No miggy, they aren't here." You say after checking everywhere by the front door.
"Idk what to say, baby... we have to leave soon. Just throw on a different pair and I'll buy you some new ones later."
He was a liar... and he was damn good at it... until he wasn't.
:::
It was 2am. This insanity started hours ago, but Miguel's stamina wouldn't let down. Your soft moans could fuel him till sun rise, and he would love to do this forever. But unlike him, you have limits. Limits to your ability to stay strong, or at least keep yourself up right. But he doesn't really care. Your begs for a break won't succeed with a constantly starving man like him.
"One more round, please baby... please. I need you." His desperate begs caress your tear stained cheeks as he whispers them softly, leaning over you and filling you with sloppy thrust.
"Miguel- please.. It's too much.." You whine as you try to pull away, gripping desperately onto the sheets.
"Last one.... I promise..." he lies.
He said the same thing the last 4 rounds. If he could have it his way he'd continue. But he knew you couldn't keep going for much longer, so he used this opportunity to tell you what he couldn't bring himself to say otherwise.
"I lied..." he confesses. Watching your tits bounce with every rough trust, keeping himself busy while you tried to form a reply. It took you a while, but you managed to let out a soft hum, waiting for him to explain himself further.
"I took them. Your heels.. I fucking hate those things.." he thrust get faster as he says it. Hoping to make your brain foggy enough to not remember his confessions in the morning.
"I like your height, so why do you wear those weird things?" His heart felt lighter as he told you.
"I like that your height forces you to get on your tippy toes every time you want a kiss from me.. and even then, I have to bend over to reach you.... I like that you rely on me to reach those high shelves. Every time you ask me, you grow as red as a rose...."
You can feel his movements speed up. You can barely hear him... your mind fuzzy from pleasure. Lewd sounds of skin slapping against skin felt like white noise at this point. The dim shadow of his frame covering you completely.
"You're so small under me.. your body falls any way I bend it..." At his point, he was just speaking the first thing to cross his mind.
You didn't hear him, and he knew it. Seconds later, you feel his weight shift, the mattress by your head sinking under his heavy hand as he leaned in and whispered.
"Please don't take that away from me."
His words were demanding. He felt exactly what he said. Even though your eyes were shut tight, you knew his eyes were locked on you. His breath heavy, as if he just confessed a dirty secret. He kinda did...
"Promise me.... Promise me you won't wear them and I'll help you cum."
As tired as you were. You wanted it. You needed it. You needed him. So you give in.
"F-fine... I promise."
"You promise what?" He smirked hearing your whiney voice.
"I promise I won't wear the heels!!"
The pleasure he got from you saying that was immense. He shifted his weight once more as he changed your position like a marionette doll. Spreading your legs apart. His hands wrapped around your thighs, and his claws dug into your skin. The stinging pain of it was a wake-up call, causing you to gasp for air.
This position caused him to go deeper. The sticky mess from your previous rounds was being pushed out of your aching hole. The sound of his hips hitting your ass grew louder with every precise thrust. They got louder and louder until they stopped. Your thighs had clenched closed as you hit that high you were chasing. And you took him with you. Tightening around his pulsing cock in a way that made him fill you to the brim once more.
He watched your body shake. Your hips jerking forward. He would usually take that as his sign to keep going, but your fucked out face was telling him you couldn't take another thrust.
"You did great my love..... my little angel~" He cooed gentle praises as he rubbed your claw marked thighs.
"I'll buy you the cutest flats."
:::
A thing he didn't know.. is that you lied, too. His secret cupboard was emptied, and your heal collection was restored... and yes.. he pouted in silence.
The end

Pairing(s): Rafe Cameron x fem! Reader
Word count: 7.4k
Summary: in which a secret friends with benefits relationship gets messy.
Warnings: drug use (weed), swearing, SMUT, fingering, unprotected sex, choking, nipple play, oral (f receiving).
AN: lots of mutual pining, teasing, jealousy & angst. friends to lovers. This is easily my fave thing I’ve ever written. Flashbacks are in italics, enjoy!
I'm so far from the line, yeah
I'm too deep in my mind, yeah
If she calls, I'll be right there
That's three calls in a night, yeah
“Hey” she says quietly, phone pressed to her ear as she answers his call in the middle of the night, something she still hadn’t quite grown accustomed too yet. her voice sounded so delicate and sweet, it made Rafe’s head rush.
This was the third call she had received from him this week, and it always ended the same. Each time she would tell herself that it was the last, but here she was, tangled within her lilac sheets, unable to let the call go to voicemail. She always seemed to bend her rules when it came to him.
“Hey. Did I wake you up?” He asks, voice tainted with something that sounded like concern, but she wasn’t quite sure. Rafe wasn’t exactly known for his ability to emphasise with others. Rather, his actions were always driven by his own selfish wants and needs, and he was extremely stubborn. That was was something which she learnt the day their arrangement started.
“Rafe, I swear to god, move. I shotgunned the couch” she said, arms crossed as her lips move into a small pout, her doe eyes hard to miss.
Rafe thought the expression was nothing less than adorable, observing the way her eyebrows were furrowed slightly to be more convincing, hoping to get some sympathy out of him. But despite the frown on her face, he knew she was biting back a smile. She liked being teased just as much as he liked teasing her.
The corners of his mouth upturned into an amused grin, something which should of annoyed her further, but it didn’t. Instead, she had to bite her tongue to stop herself from matching his expression.
They were at toppers house, in the midst of a party which had just began to die down, the crowds of young adults sprawled around the large living room getting smaller by the minute. She had no intention of going home anytime soon, and neither did he.
“Not anymore, angel” he says, manspreading on the couch to get comfortable, but also just as a way to tease her further. But once again, the familiar nickname he picked for her, and only her, made it near impossible for her to be mad at him.
They had been friends for a long time now, so in theory she should have been used to it, but she just wasn’t. Every time the word left his cherry red lips, she felt like a giddy teenager again.
She sighs in defeat, tugging on one of the loose threads of his hoodie which he gave her, one of the many endearing gestures which made all the constant teasing seemingly tolerable.
“Stop being greedy and just sit next to me” he says, patting the empty space next to him. His shiny gold rings that decorated his fingers were a stark contrast to the dim light which began to engulf the room as it grew later into the night, and she began to wonder how one mans hands could be so attractive.
Maybe she was being greedy for wanting the whole couch to herself, but she was not about to be criticised by Rafe Cameron himself. He was quite literally the epitome of greed, even if she failed to recognise that sometimes, her delusion towards him a symbol of her naive nature.
She pretended to hesitate before sitting down on the couch next to him, the smell of her sweet perfume invading his senses, throwing him off track. She was the only person who could make his nonchalant nature falter so easy, and the feeling was so unfamiliar to him he almost felt uneasy whenever she was near.
Every time Topper threw a party, she had an end-of-night tradition. She would sprawl across the expensive couch with a blanket, smoke the pre-rolled joint she would bring with her every time, and slowly become one which the couch, her body melting into the white leather. Luckily, Toppers parents were gone for the week this time, so she had permission to smoke inside.
She turned her body, leaning her back against the armrest of the couch, before draping her legs over Rafe’s lap. They weren’t exactly used to such affections at this stage in their relationship, but she was a bit tipsy, and she certainly wasn’t going to let him stop her from getting comfy.
Her squeaky clean converse dug into his thigh a little, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he sent her a glare, and he prayed he put on a good enough of a show to convince her it was real.
“What? I warned you” she said, shifting slightly to retrieve the blanket which was hung on the back of the couch, throwing it over them both.
Rafe placed his hands under the blanket and rested them on her legs, just below her knees, the evening breeze coming through the windows seemingly prevalent. He was a bit cold in his t-shirt, but he would never dare to ask for his hoodie back. He noted how warm she felt as his fingers brushed the bare skin of her legs, and suddenly he wanted to bury his head between them.
She dug her dainty hands into the pocket of his hoodie, retrieving a slightly crumpled joint and a dodgy lighter. Her manicured pink nails made her hands look so fragile, and Rafe couldn’t fathom how one girls hands could be so fucking cute.
She lights the joint, the flame lighting up her face in an orange tint, the warm hue painted over her features a perfect picture to him. He watched as she inhaled and exhaled again and again, and it dawned on him then that he could watch her do anything, and he would never get bored.
“Sharing is caring, angel” he says, placing his hand out in front of her. She rolled her eyes, but couldn’t suppress the small grin which graced her lips, her sweetness practically radiating off her as she passed him the joint, captivated in the way he inhaled before blowing a thick cloud of smoke into the living room, blurring their vision slightly.
Weed always made Rafe a little more touchy than usual. When he’s sober, his anxiety is always apparent in his tensed muscles or his clenched jaw, or the way he always runs his hands through his hair when he’s stressed out. But as soon as marijuana was flowing through him, his mind relaxed, and so did his body.
he’s pretty dazed by the time he passes the joint back. He digs his hands under the blanket once again, running the tips of his fingers innocently across her thighs, relishing in her smooth skin. but the feeling it caused her was anything but innocent.
“Do you mind?” She says, her voice betraying her as it came out shaky. He turned his head, and when she saw the mischievous glint which lay behind his bloodshot eyes, she knew she was in trouble.
He had to poke the inside of his cheek with his tongue to suppress a grin. He thought her flustered state was completely endearing, and he loved knowing the effect he had on her. “Am I distracting you, angel?”
“No” yes.
She hoped she was convincing, but he could see right through her, mostly as he observed the way she drew in a sharp breath as his hands travelled further and further up her leg, her skin tingling at his touch.
“You see, I don’t believe you” he smirks, shifting towards her, his hand stopping right at the hem of her denim mini skirt, fingers dipping under the material ever so slightly, as if he was daring himself to go even further.
“Rafe” she whispers. fuck. His name had never sounded so pretty until it came out of her mouth.
She took another hit of the joint, trying to distract herself from his dirty little games. But the higher she got, the more she melted into his touch.
She sent him a half-hearted pleading look, one which should of convinced him to back away, but unfortunately for her, he could read her like his favourite book, and the way her legs squirmed on top of him, parting ever so slightly, gave him all the confirmation he needed.
His fingers dipped under her skirt, the cold metal of his rings grazing the top of her thigh, cooling down her burning skin. She looked around, making sure no one was paying attention, and relaxed a little when she noticed everyone left was either passed out or too engrossed in conversation to notice either of them.
His lips parted as he made contact with her clothed pussy, coming to the realisation her lace underwear was soaked. His shorts tightened as his cock grew rock hard, and he prayed she couldn’t feel it under her legs, but of course she could.
Her legs squirmed once again as he started toying with her clothed clit, her calf’s rubbing right against his cock, and he swore she was hell-bent on torturing him.
Her eyes fluttered shut as his hand dove into her underwear, running his fingers up her folds, almost groaning as he felt her arousal. The heavy pants coming from her glossy lips were drowned out by the music which played from toppers speaker, and suddenly Rafe wished the room was silent.
The joint fell from her fingers and onto the blanket as he inserted two fingers inside of her, the pit of her stomach heating up as pleasure flows through her, sinking her body further into the couch.
He retrieved the joint with his free hand before it burnt a hole in the blanket, taking a hit before putting the roach into the ash tray next to him. She was shocked at how nonchalant he looked, pretending as if his fingers weren’t inside of her as they sat in a room with all of their friends, at risk of being caught at any moment.
He began to pump his fingers in and out of her, in awe of the way she struggled to keep her eyes open, the bloodshot whites in her eyes making her look even more fucked out. He draped his free arm on the back of the couch as he continued to finger fuck her with his other, and when their eyes met, electricity shot down her spine, entranced by his blown out pupils.
she lifted the blanket to cover her mouth as moans threatened to spill out of her, her legs now spread for him underneath the soft material. He didn’t care that they weren’t alone, he didn’t like the fact she wanted to hide her face from him.
He shakes his head slightly, tutting as he brings his free arm down, pulling the blanket from her face before cupping her jaw. “Let me see you” he said, his voice steady. And as she bit her lip to suppress a whimper, pussy clenching around his fingers, he knew he was in trouble.
“No, I can’t seem to sleep” she says, voice quiet through the phone, but he heard her clearly.
“I’ve been thinking about you today. Can you come over?” he says, and her eyes shut in defeat.
He would always do this, call her up and sweet talk her into coming over so they could fuck. Rafe never gave any of his feelings away, living up to his fuck boy reputation, and so everytime she would leave his house, thinking she was nothing but a warm body to him, she swore to herself she would never let him pull at her heartstrings like that again.
But just like him, her lack of self control betrayed her every time.
She takes a while to respond, and Rafe had to question if he managed to fuck everything up in a 2 minute phone call.
“I’ll be there in 10” she says, her voice sweet like honey, and finally he felt like he could breathe again.
Well girl, what do you think about
Staying right here in bed?
I didn't hear a word you said
I wasn't that high, I swear
Her eyes drifted open at around 8am, the morning sun making her wince as she tries to focus her vision, shifting uncomfortably in the bed. Her movements come to a halt as she feels the weight of someone pressed up behind her, arm draped over her waist and head buried behind her neck.
Her eyes widen slightly as she turns so she’s almost on her back, observing how at peace Rafe looked as he was cuddled up to her, his chest rising and falling every few seconds, the sounds of his breathing relaxing her somewhat.
She must of passed out before she had the chance to leave last night, which happened sometimes whenever they were together super late. Sometimes, by the time Rafe was done with her, she would actually struggle to move, exhaustion overtaking her limp body.
But this was the first time they woke up like this. Usually, she would stick to her side of the bed, and he would stick to hers, abiding by Rafe’s stupid rule of no cuddling, as if it would somehow cure his growing infatuation for her.
He was not a relationship person, and that was something she definitely learnt the hard way. Growing up in the household that be did, Rafe had always struggled with letting people in. His father had made it impossible for him to trust, and whenever he got close, he would bolt, too scared to let himself feel anything.
For some reason, he just couldn’t bring himself to let go of her. So instead, he made a bunch of stupid rules, in the hopes that it would stop him falling too deep.
Peering up at him with tired eyes, she came to the realisation that she would let him do anything to her as long as it meant he was this close. She would let him walk all over her, whatever way he wanted, if it meant she could stay in bed, like this, with him, just for a little longer.
She almost jumped out of her skin as Rose called for Rafe from downstairs, and the moment she could see his eyes battling to open beneath his eyelids, she turned back around, pretending to be asleep.
he shifted behind her as his eyes fluttered open, adjusting to his surroundings. He mentally cursed his lack of self control as he observed the position he was in, but surprisingly, he didn’t move.
Instead, he ran his fingers through a lock of her hair, the sweet smell of her strawberry shampoo making him second guess every single decision he’s ever made. He trailed his fingers all the way down to the curves of her bare hips, before planting a sweet kiss on the back of her head. It took everything in her to remain still, to suppress a bright smile, but she did, ignoring the shiver that ran down her spine at his sweet affections.
Rose called for him again, and he rolled his eyes, but he still just couldn’t bring himself to move. He trailed his eyes to last nights hickeys that were littered across her neck and shoulder, and he realised then that maybe, just maybe, he would bend his rules, if it meant he could stay in bed, like this, with her, just for a little longer.
It's happening again
Well, I don't give a fuck about your friends
I'm right here
Oh, baby, take a look around
I'm the only one that hasn't walked out
I'm right here
His eyes spotted her as soon as she entered his house, seemingly uninterested in the party around him. She looked good, too good, as he observed her appearance. Her summer dress painted her figure in the most delectable way, and her glossy lips looked so succulent he had to hold himself back from kissing her when she sat down next to him.
“You look happy” she says, sarcasm dripping off her tongue as she speaks. The amusing look on her face subsided as she noticed the way he licked his red lips, his blue orbs filled with something she couldn’t place.
She lent back, still facing him, almost touching his arm that was draped over the back of the couch, his fingers close to her shoulder. It took everything in him not to run his fingers along her soft skin, a deep craving to trail his fingers over the freckles littered on her shoulder, and he had to question wether he was starting to go insane.
“You didn’t answer yesterday” he says, taking a swig of his bottle of whiskey, a usual favourite for him.
Is that why he looked so glum? It couldn’t be, it’s Rafe we’re talking about here. So then why did he look so doleful? She was burning to know, but she knew better than to pry when it came to him. So, she tried to comfort him in the only way she knew he would let him.
“Can I make it up to you?” She says sweetly, and that caught his attention instantly, head turning to face her. Her doe eyes were glistening with desire, her organs pumping with adrenaline, and she swore she saw his features soften.
Her sinful thoughts were interrupted by a tap on the shoulder, and she caught the way that Rafe’s jaw clenched at something behind her before she turned around, revealing some touron she met at party a couple weeks ago. If she was being honest, she didn’t even remember his name, but she didn’t have the heart to be rude.
And just like that, she was ripped away from him, the missing warmth from her beside him making his insides twist in the worst way possible as he watched her disappear into the crowd, muscles tensing as he paid attention to how her hands were intertwined with his. Is that why she didn’t answer yesterday? Was she with him? His blood ran cold at the thought, his face contorting with disappointment as he ran a hand through his hair, taking an extra big sip of his whiskey.
He then focused his dull gaze on the empty seat beside him, and before he knew it, time started to slow.
They both sat naked in his living room, her heart racing as she straddled him, arms wrapped tightly around his neck. The sweetness of her cherry lip gloss drowned his tongue as he hummed into her mouth, her insides tingling at the sweet sound as their lips moved together in a passionate kiss.
She realised then that she loved every single sound he made. Even if it was a rude remark, which wasn’t exactly uncommon with Rafe, at least it was something. At least she got to hear him.
“Fuck, I’ve missed you” he mumbled into her mouth, fingers entwined in her messy hair. His voice was low and quiet, but the words pierced through her heart as if he shouted it at the top of his lungs.
She noticed that he would only say nice things to her when they were fucking, and although she didn’t complain in the moment, she always felt uneasy afterwards, his empty words lingering in her mind.
“Yeah?” God. Her voice sounded so weak and fragile, she wished she could just lay on the floor and let the ground swallow her hole. Maybe then, her conflicting thoughts would finally subside.
But Fuck, he loved when she was nervous because of him. Her shaky voice made his lips curl up into a smirk, pushing her hips down in line with his cock, watching her lidded eyes as she pushed herself down onto him, stretching her out and taking him whole.
“Your so fucking beautiful, angel” he moaned, not being able to stop his thoughts whilst he was inside her. In fact, he never could. Whenever they had sex, he would just speak his mind freely, not being able to hold back.
Her moans were full of sin as she began to bounce on his cock, digging her pink nails into his shoulders and throwing her head back in pleasure. He took the opportunity to wrap a hand round her neck, squeezing just the right amount, making sure he didn’t hurt her too much. He brought his other hand up to play with her nipple, pinching on the sensitive skin, and she jerked on top of him, making him smirk.
“Fucking addictive” he mumbles, letting go of her neck and gripping her hair instead, pulling her head forward to look him right in the eyes.
“Don’t say things you don’t mean” she says, clawing her nails down his bare chest, leaving little red marks to replace the old faded ones.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up and pushing her against the couch, her back sinking into the soft material. “Oh, I mean it”
Her eyes screw shut as he pounds into her, her breathing increasingly unorganised as his nails dug into her hips. His forehead glistened with a thin layer of sweat, his hair sticking to it, and he had to bite back a smile as he saw how fucked out she was beneath him, her cheeks stained with a faint redness.
“I hate you” she says, a sincere look on her face. And if he didn’t feel her pussy clenching around him in that moment, he might of believed her.
“Earth to Rafe” Topper says, waving his hand in front of his face, and he snapped back to reality.
“Jesus man, what’s gotten into you”
He shrugs in response, an unamused look on his face. “You playing?” Topper asks, turning his head towards the circle of people sat in the middle of the room. Rafe follows toppers line of vision, and his jaw clenches. Usually, he doesn’t indulge in party games, but as soon as he saw her sat in the circle, he was making his way over.
She sat with her best friend, Tara, laughing and giggling as she sips on her vodka soda. He sat down opposite her, their eyes meeting, and suddenly it was like they were the only two people in the room.
“Rafe looks good tonight, doesn’t he” Tara says, a small smile painting her features, snapping her out of her daze. No one knew about their arrangement, and so she didn’t really have a right to be mad, but she couldn’t deny the way her heart sank at her friends words.
“I guess” she says, doing her best to mask her jealousy with a bored look, but it didn’t really work.
The games started off innocent, a few harmless truths and dares, but as always, it turned sexual very quickly. Topper was always the one to blame for that.
“Okay, this round is 7 minutes in heaven. You know the rules, if the bottle lands on you, you have to spend 7 minutes locked in a room with whoever it lands on next. No backing out” Kelce says, and her heart began to beat a little faster.
Kelce lent forward, gripping the glass beer bottle and giving it a spin. Rafe looked across at her, observing how her eyes were glued to the bottle as it span, and he hoped to god he wasn’t going to have to watch her go into a room with somebody else.
His thoughts were interrupted as their eyes connected, and confusion filled him as he took notice of her wide eyes. He looked down, and when he realised the bottle was pointed at him, it was like all the colour drained from his face.
People began to cheer around them, topper leaning over to pat his back, but she couldn’t do anything but sit, completely frozen. Kelce then span the bottle again, and her heart sank to her feet as it landed on Tara.
Tara giggled as she stood up, smoothing out her dress with her hands, but Rafe didn’t move, clearly hesitant. He tried to ignore the alcohol induced encouragement from everyone around them, and she had a sliver of hope that maybe he wouldn’t do it.
But when she saw him stand up and begin to lead her best friend into one of the downstairs bedrooms, it was like a dagger straight through the heart. She sat there for a minute or two, in her own world as she pinched herself, over and over again, to stop the tears which threatened to spill out of her.
She made her way outside, pushing through the back doors of the house and into the empty garden, the evening breeze giving her goosebumps. She knew she only had herself to blame, he told her what it was from the start and she didn’t listen, but that didn’t make the pain any easier.
She sat down on the stairs of the outside decking, arms crossed as she rubs her arms, trying to warm herself up. She heard some commotion from inside, and turned her head to see through the glass doors.
Everyone cheered as Rafe and Tara made their way out into the living room, and she struggled to breathe as she observed the way Tara pulled her dress down and fixed her hair, and it didn’t take a genius to figure out what went on.
Rafe’s heart sank as he returned, scanning around the room to find she was no where to be seen. His gaze landed on her figure outside, and he didn’t hesitate to make his way to her, ignoring the confused looks from Topper and Kelce as he walked straight passed them.
She didn’t have to guess who it was as she heard the door open, and she shot up, walking towards the pool, not wanting to speak to him just yet.
“Where are you running off to?” He says, a quizzical look on his face as he follows her down the garden, shoving his arms in his pockets.
“My best friend, Rafe, really?” She says, sass laced within her voice as she runs a hand through her hair, halting her movements as she stands right in front of the pool, the moonlight reflecting in the water ever so slightly.
“Nothing happened” he replied, and although he knew she would never believe it, he was telling the truth.
Yes, it’s true, Rafe may be known for having a wandering eye, but as Tara sat on the bed, trying her best to seduce him, he just knew no one could ever compare to her.
“Bullshit”
She scoffs at him, her features contorting with anger as she stares at the water ahead, knowing the second she looks at him, she would give in. “I know that we’re just friends” she starts, ignoring the despair in the pit of her stomach as she cringes at her own words.
“But friends don’t disrespect each other. And believe it or not Rafe, fucking my friends falls under that category” she shouts, her voice raised as she now turns to face him.
“I don’t give a fuck about your friends, okay. I’m right here with you, am I not?” He replies back, his frustration evident in his tone.
He wished she believed him. He wished she knew that sometimes, he couldn’t even sleep at night, too wound up in thinking about how soft her hair was, or how cute she looked in the mornings when they would wake up together, and she was wearing nothing but his t-shirt.
“Yeah, after you had your fun” she mumbles quietly, but he heard it. Something in his mind clicked, and he wasn’t sure why it took him so long, but he finally figured out what was going on.
The corners of lips turned upwards into a shit eating grin, and she swore she had never been so close to punching him.
He takes a step forward, their shoes touching, and brings a finger to her chin, pushing her head up to look him straight in the eyes.
“Your jealous” he says teasingly, his features a picture of pure joy.
“Your insufferable” she says, rolling her eyes, trying her best to be rude even though he was right. But all he could concentrate on was the fact she didn’t even deny it.
Her poker face disappears as he moves her hair off her shoulders, bringing his head down to plant harsh kisses along her neck, biting the sweet spot in the way he knew she liked it.
“Admit it” he mumbles into her neck, his hot breath making her insides tingle.
She debated it for a second, before she decided she had a better idea.
She palmed his cock through his shorts, trying not to get distracted by him as he lifted his head up, mouth agape, his darkened eyes illustrating that he wanted to devour her mercilessly.
And when she knew he was fully distracted, she pushed him into the pool.
Rafe emerged from the rippling water, his wet hair clinging to her forehead, and she couldn’t help but laugh at him.
“I wish I could say I’m sorry” she giggles, bending down and crouching to get a better look at him, ignoring the glare that painted his features.
His glare didn’t stay for long, too caught up in how cute her laugh was. The cogs in his brain turned as his eyebrows furrowed into a thoughtful look, and before she could react, he was tugging on her arms and pulling her into the pool with him.
“Fuck you!” She shouts, almost chocking on the water as she laughs, making sure to splash him in the face.
“All you have to do is ask, angel” he smirks, trailing his eyes down to her breasts, rejoicing in the way her hardened nipples were poking through her dress, like they were begging to be touched.
He swims towards her, skin glistening with water droplets, and she just couldn’t help but stare at him in absolute awe.
He dipped his head down, brushing his lips against hers, lingering there for a moment as he grabs her thighs, wrapping them around his waist and pushing her back against the pool wall. Her hands clung to his wet hair, and as she registered just how heavy her breathing was, she knew she was too far gone.
“Someone’s ganna see” she whispers, unable to concentrate when he’s touching her like this.
“Let them” he says, his voice hoarse. He brought his hand up to cup her flushed cheek, before their lips connected in a sweet kiss.
One draw at a time, yeah
One more, you'll be fine, yeah
And I swear she was right there
The blue glow and the night wear
“Tell me how you want it, angel” he mumbles into her collar bone, trailing sloppy kisses all the way down from her breasts to her stomach.
He had turned up to her house in the middle of the day, not even bothering to phone her. It was rare that they spent time together during daylight hours, but she wasn’t exactly complaining. And as always, it had taken him all of 5 minutes until he had her striped down to her underwear, her black lingerie set making his head rush.
“Slow” is all she says, and he’s a bit taken back, lifting himself up so their face to face again. Rafe was an experienced man, but never has he once had slow sex. She lifted her head into the krook of his neck, planting sweet kisses along his skin and up to his jawline, occasionally biting, but not enough to actually hurt him. He came to the conclusion then that as long as she kept kissing him like that, he would try anything for her.
He hooked his fingers in her underwear, pulling them down her legs and revealing her drenched pussy. It didn’t matter how many times Rafe saw her naked, each time still felt like the first.
He buried his head between her legs and kissed her throbbing clit, before lapping his tongue teasingly over the bundle of nerves, small whimpers leaving her mouth at the sensation. She dug her manicured nails into her sheets, and she could feel him smirk against her pussy.
“You like that?” He asks lowly, even though he already knew the answer. She nodded her head, screwing her eyes shut as his licks got harsher, but remained slow.
He placed one hand on her stomach as he ate her out, looking up at her blissful state, and as she moaned his name, he felt like he had died and gone to heaven.
He pulled away, climbing up her body to meet her face once again, pulling on her bottom lip with his teeth as he lined himself up with her entrance, pushing his cock into her painfully slowly. The pit in her stomach grew heavier and heavier as he stretched her out, and he practically groaned into her mouth.
He started fucking her with slow but harsh strokes, gazing deeply into her eyes, and it dawned on him then that this felt like more than just sex. He trailed his thumb along her bottom lip before pushing it into her mouth, watching as she sucked on it with lidded eyes, and as she looked up at him, she realised that his blue orbs had some green in them.
What he didn’t know, was that when he knocked on her door earlier that day, and she peered at him through her window, she decided that this had to be the last time they fucked. The jealousy and sadness that he brought on her was turning her into someone that she didn’t recognise, and she knew she had to stop before it was too late, before he had broke her completely.
She savoured every minute as he thrusted into her, digging her nails down his back, leaving little red marks. He replaced his thumb with his lips, tongue diving down her throat as she hummed into his mouth, their kiss sloppy as they were both moaning messes.
He buried his head in her neck, biting her shoulder gently as his eyes screwed shut, overwhelmed at how good this felt even though it wasn’t what he was used to.
The feeling was so bittersweet as she let a single tear roll down her red cheeks, tangling her hands in his hair, only now realising that she had fallen in love with Rafe Cameron, and now she was going to have to heal.
Girl, I've been taking it slow
You know I've been taking it slow
You're sitting alone, why are you sitting alone?
Baby, just pick up your phone, oh
'Cause I've been rolling all damn night, whoa
She took a sip of her champagne as she walked through the beautiful flower garden, mentally praising Toppers parents for choosing to get married in such a picturesque place.
Her hair was plaited into two, with daisy flowers weaved into her hair, sticking to the floral theme of the wedding, and her lilac silk dress was accompanied with matching heels.
She walked to the end of the establishment, making sure no one else was around, before retrieving a crumpled up joint and a lighter from her purse, wasting no time in lighting it, staring at all the luscious plants around her as her body started to relax.
She’s interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat, and she almost gave herself whiplash with how fast she turned around.
“Jesus! Has anyone ever told you it’s rude to creep up on people?” She asks, eyes slightly wide as she takes a look at the man in front of her. He stood in a black suit, which she could tell was expensive, and a glass of whiskey sat in his ring clad hand, the condensation from the glass rolling down his fingers.
“Says the one getting stoned at a wedding” he says, smirking as he gestures to the lit joint in her hand.
“Hm, touché. But its the only way I’m going to be able to get through Toppers mums speech. I love Top with all my heart, but that woman is the devil” she says, taking a drag of her joint, watching as some of the loose embers fall onto the floor.
He laughs then, a real laugh, which for some reason melted her insides, and her cherry red lips turned upwards into a bright smile.
All Rafe could think about was how someone as beautiful as her could exist, and he didn’t even know about it. He made a mental note to punch Topper later for not introducing her to him.
“You like daisies?” He asks, and confusion fills her features for a second before she realised he’s talking about her hair.
“Uh, yeah. They were my mum’s favourite” she said, a certain dullness laying behind her eyes. His hands grew clammy as he put two and two together, but he didn’t say anything, not wanting to intrude on the personal life of a complete stranger.
“I like it. You kind of look like an angel” he says, and he clears his throat as he realised what he just said, his forwardness even shocking himself.
Her smile never wavered as he spoke, features lighting up at his kind words, and suddenly she needed to know who on earth this man was.
“I’m Y/N” she says, leaning her arm out to shake his, her dainty arms no match for his muscular ones.
“Rafe” he responds, mirroring her actions, and as soon as his skin touched hers, she had a feeling he was here to stay.
She sat alone in the island club, watching her phone light up as his contact came onto the slightly cracked screen, the small vibrations of her ringtone filling the room. Her head fell into her hands as she sighed, doing everything she could to go against her urges to answer the call.
She had been ignoring him for a few days, trying to detach herself, but every time he called, she got closer and closer to caving. Everything she did was for him, and now, everything she was doing was because of him, and it was so painful.
Rafe was at toppers with the boys, sipping on his whiskey as he held his phone up to his ear, listening to his ringer as the call went to voicemail for the third time that night.
“Fuck” he mumbled, running a hand through his hair as he shifted on the couch, the same couch where he had his first sinful encounter with her.
“Who are you calling?” Kelce says, eyes squinting with suspicion as he looks at Rafe, registering his stressed out state.
“No one” he replies, and it was impossible to miss the look that Kelce and Topper gave each other.
“Rafe, you might think you were being sneaky, but we know you’ve been seeing Y/N for months now. You guys are kinda obvious” Topper says, eyebrows raised as he confesses to his best friend, a small smile on his face.
“Plus, I saw you guys fucking in the pool the other night” Kelce says, and Rafe’s eyes widen.
“Shit” he says, not really sure what to say. For the first time in his life, he was stumped.
“You really like her, huh?” Topper says, always able to know what his best friend was thinking.
Rafe hesitated before nodding his head, taking another sip of his whiskey, rejoicing in the way it warmed his insides and numbed his pain.
“She won’t return my calls” he says, his mind a spiralling mess. He was trying to rack his brain to figure out what he had done wrong, but the more he thought about it the more confused he got.
“you have to make a gesture, something to show you care. Girls eat that shit up man” Topper said, patting Rafe on the back, Kelce nodding along with him. And as he was racking his brain for ideas, one thing did spring to mind.
Oh, baby, take a look around
I’m the only one that hasn’t walked out
I'm right here
She scanned the perimeter as she stepped onto the boat, the salty smell of the ocean wafting through the mid-day air. She spotted topper at the bar almost immediately, making some sort of cocktail concoction, and she couldn’t help but giggle as she walked up to him.
“Your late” Topper says as he spots her, the sound of the blender making it hard for her to hear, but she did.
“Fashionably late” she corrects him, gesturing to her matching bikini, lifting her sunglasses off of her eyes and resting them on her head, her hair cascading off her shoulders elegantly.
“Why am I here anyway? Frozen Margarita’s don’t really seem like much of an emergency” she says, eyebrows raised as an amused look paints her features.
“Oh but it is. I need you to test my recipe” he says, and as much as she wanted to be annoyed for dragging her out here for no reason, a margarita did sound good.
“Can you go get me some more lime juice from downstairs?” he says, and she nodded her head in response, placing her purse down on the bar before heading for the stairs.
The heels of her wedges clicked as she walked down the wooden stairs, heading straight to the downstairs bar. She flicked through the cupboards as she tried to find the desired lime juice, before her eyes landed on a glass vase which sat in the middle of the bar.
She drew in a sharp breath as she gazed at the bouquet of fresh daisies, accompanied by a card with her name on it, and her eyebrows furrowed. She brought her hand up to stroke the fragile petals, and the memory of her mother plagued her mind.
“What the-“
“They were your mother’s favourite” a male voice says, and she didn’t have to turn around to know who it was. “I remembered”
He pulled on her heartstrings as he stood in the doorway, a baseball cap sitting backwards lazily on his head, and a crooked smile on his ruby red lips that she could never get tired of, no matter how hard she tried. She couldn’t believe he remembered such a small detail like that, and she began to think maybe her prejudice towards him was all wrong.
“Rafe” she says quietly, clearly in shock, her doe eyes wide as he makes his way to her, and holy shit, he never really could get over how his name rolled off her tongue so sweetly.
“What are you doing?”
“What I’ve wanted to do since the day we met” he said, and she couldn’t bring herself to do anything but stare at him in awe as goosebumps formed along her tanned skin, melting into his touch as he brought a hand up to her cheek, stroking the skin with his thumb before cupping her cheek in his hand.
“I’m sorry I’ve been such a dick. I’m sorry I made all these stupid rules for us, like no cuddling, or keeping us a secret, because the truth is, every time your near, it takes every ounce of my self restraint not to touch you, or not to tell you that every inch of me belongs to you” he says, wrapping one hand around her waist, pressing her body against his, and she prayed he couldn’t feel how fast hear heart was beating right now.
“I only did those things because I was scared of actually letting someone in” he says, finally letting himself breathe as he paused. “Scared of having to admit that I love you, angel”
She grinned like a cheshire cat as he finished his sentence, admiring the way his cheeks blushed with a faint redness as he poured his heart out, and she swung her arms around his neck tightly, never wanting to let go.
“I love you too” she says, before reaching up on her tiptoes and claiming his lips in a gentle kiss.
“You know i would do anything for you, right?” She whispers against his lips, practically breathing the same air as him, and just like that, his signature smirk was back.
“Well in that case, how about you start with taking this flimsy thing off” he says, pulling on the straps of her bikini top, a small giggle leaving her glossy lips as she playfully hit his arm.
“Gross. Please don’t” Topper says, and they both jumped out of their skin as they spotted him in the doorway, arm leant against the wooden frame with a smug look on his face.
“Jesus! How long have you been standing there?”
Oh, baby take a look around
I'm the only one that hasn't walked out
I'm right here

what do you think about enemies to lovers with akutagawa x ada fem!reader with a really big sexual tension between them?
Yes. Just yes🫡 that's all I have to say. Hope you like it♡
•☆○
Laced♡
𝑨𝒌𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒘𝒂 𝒙 𝒇𝒆𝒎! 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓
𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: smut♡/ one bed trope
Akutagawa didn't know how he ended up like this, sharing a bed with you in a crappy motel room in Shinjuku. He took a deep breath in, feeling the thin particles of dust tickle his nose and sneezed, mentally cursing his overly sensitive body.
From the other side of mattress you mumbled a half-hearted 'Bless you'
"Oh shut up" he hissed, his head snapping in your direction. You were laying on your side close to the edge of the ragged futon, a chiffon robe wrapped loosely around your frame. The neon lights that filtered through the windows illuminated your figure well enough for Akutagawa to make out the little bird drawings that adorned your nightgown.
"Your voice is pissing me off" he added, voice laced with venom as he took in your figure.
"Then stop sneezing and coughing every five minutes. I'm trying to sleep" you replied in a casual tone which only fueled Akutagawa's anger.
God, how he hated you and your composed demeanour; a futile attempt to prove that you were better than him. He vividly recalls your first encounter when his former mentor introduced you to him and the way your eyes scanned his figure with pure amusement. Oh, he resented the way you always looked down on him, thinking that you were superior only because you were working at the Agency.
The fact that you were constantly competing for Dazai's praise only made things worse. Each time the brunette would pair you up for a mission you'd go out of your way to ensure that you did just a tad bit better than him, whether it was stealing the target's phone, a classified file or simply taking extra credit.
And what was worse was that this wasn't even a fair competition: no matter how hard he tried to prove himself to his former mentor, you'd still get all the 'Good job Y/N'. All you had to do was breathe and Dazai would shower you with praise. It was so easy for you and it filled him with burning rage, a fire that grew hotter inside him by the minute; you were utterly insufferable and yet...
Laying beside you in this god forgotten room, Akutagawa couldn't bring himself to hurt you. He knew he could; you were both far away from home and the mission Dazai assigned you was dangerous. If you were to get injured it wouldn't come as a surprise. Plus, your ability was no match to his so he could easily kill you, destroying the source of all his anger and pent up frustration that plagued him day and night.
Still, something was holding him back; a force that he could not explain. He simply scoffed, gritting his teeth.
"I cannot fucking control it. Get your own room if you really can't stand my coughing."
You remained silent and the man cursed under his breath. After a while you rolled on your back and sighed.
"It's too hot in here."
"It's the middle of August, what did you expect?"
"Some air conditioning maybe?" you said in that condescending tone he so resented.
"You're so irritating." he stated, not daring to look at you. He knew that if he did he wouldn't be able to keep up this act and God knows what he'd do.
"Come on Ryuu. I know you don't actually hate me. You're just mad about Dazai liking me better"
Akutagawa's body tensed upon hearing your words. "Don't call me that."
"What, Ryuu? Why not?" you asked innocently.
"Because you know I can't stand it." he lied. He did in fact love the way his name rolled off your lips; it was so soothing but he couldn't bring himself to admit it. "And don't drag Dazai into this."
You let out a low chuckle "But he is part of this. He's actually the reason for all this. For us and-"
"There's no such thing as us" he spat, nails digging deep into the calloused skin of his palms.
He could feel you scoot closer to him, one of your hands gently brushing a strand of charcoal hair from his face.
"Isn't it?"
Your words lingered between the two of you, a heavy, unspoken truth. There was no you but both of you somehow wished there was. Despite all the resentment he bore towards you, Akutagawa knew there was something more to his feelings. He couldn't exactly pin-point what it was tho, but it seemed that you shared the same thought.
"What are we?" you asked eventually, fingertips sliding along his jawline as you moved even closer to him.
Your touch sent goosebumps all over his body, igniting his skin. Yet he didn't push you away. Instead, he turned to his side to face you.
"What do you think we are? We're rivals for fuck's sake" he stated and you would've believed him if it weren't for his arm which wrapped around your waist.
"Are enemies usually so desperate for each other?" you chuckled, cupping his face.
"I'm not desperate" he hummed as he began caressing the side of your body. His fingers traced the outline of your body over your robe, languidly sliding back and forth from your hip up your waist and along your ribs; causing you to shudder.
"You sure are desperate tho" he said, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. His slender fingers hooked under the loosely tied knot of your robe, undoing it.
A light hum escaped your lips when he touched your bare skin.
"Hey Ryuu." you purred, threading your fingers through his hair "Do you think things would've been different if we weren't in different organizations?"
"Not at all. I'd still hate you" he said plainly. Akutagawa was completely entranced by you; his mouth voiced of abhorrence but his hands spoke another language, gently cupping one of your breasts as he kneaded your soft flesh.
He pulled you closer until your lips were mere mere inches apart. "You don't think you could ever like me, do you? It would be so ridiculous."
"Really?" With a mischevious smirk on your lips you took his hand from your breast and guided it between your legs; Akutagawa gasped as his fingers brushed against your wet panties. "I think I like you already."
"You little..." he cursed under his breath as he closed the distance between you, lips finding your own. He kissed you deeply, feverishly and pushed you onto your back, climbing on top of you.
When he eventually broke the kiss he looked down at you, trying to ignore his forming bulge that pressed against your thigh.
You only giggled, tracing your thumb over his lower lip. "How about you put that mouth of yours to good use, hm?" you teased but Akutagawa noted the hint of urgency in your voice.
With a sly smirk on his face he slowly moved lower onto you, tracing feathery kisses along your heated skin until the nestled himself between your thighs. Each touch elicited sweet sounds from you which echoed through his entire being.
Before he hooked his arms over your thighs to keep you close your gazes met for s brief moment and he nodded, grinning from ear to ear.
"As you wish, pretty girl"

AITA for not wanting to hang out with my boyfriend’s best friend?
My [33F] boyfriend’s [30M] (we’ll call him R) best friend (30s M) (call him D) is chronically late but also never communicates anything. I have ADHD and like I get it. I have all the patience in the world for people who are late if they communicate they will be late. But D will never communicate anything, ever.
R and D have a standing game night on Fridays where they go for dinner and play board games. D “normally” comes between 4-5pm. He picks up his kids from school at 3:30, drops them home with his partner and then drives over. It is a 30 minute drive. But in the past, both on regular Friday meetings, and for other meetups, he has been significantly late (3 hours, once!) without saying a word all day.
R wants me to join them on Friday evenings. I don’t have a traditional ‘job’ but I am a crafter with many things to do and also, as mentioned, I have ADHD. Part of that means I really need a specific time to go and do something otherwise I will just be stuck in like “wait mode” all day unable to do anything because I don’t know when I need to stop doing it. The first time I went out with R & D I did lose the whole day (no work done) because we could get no actual information from D on when he was coming, and he ended up not arriving until after 5pm.
I told D I didn’t appreciate not being able to properly plan my day, and that providing a heads up about these things is generally considered polite. I also made it clear afterwards to R that if D continued to not communicate anything and just “turn up whenever, at some point after 4, maybe” then I would not be joining them on board game nights.
Today I once again only had “4-5ish, I guess” but by 4:30 not only was D not here but R had heard nothing from him, and suspected he had not even left. I told R I was not coming, I had already mostly lost the day - having stopped work several hours before - but I would at least be reclaiming the evening.
At 5:15 R called me to say that D had been arranging to have his partner come, and had been sorting out childcare (in the form of D’s mum). He at no point earlier in the day had said anything about this to R. In fact they hadn’t spoken at all. D then told R they would be leaving at around 5:45, so wouldn’t be here until at least 6:15.
I reiterated that I would not be coming. It was a boundary I set before and was very clear about, and was now enforcing it. D could have said much earlier that he was planning on inviting his partner, would have to arrange childcare, and would likely be later than usual. He chose not to do that, so I am choosing to not go.
R then got upset with me and said he would not be coming over to spend the night at my place the following evening (we have a normal routine on who stays where which days, and he knows unexpectedly changing that without any discussion at all will also mess with my ability to do things. The routine is important to me) because I was being unfair.
I told him, again, it’s a firm boundary for me. People who won’t communicate anything at all when you have plans (even loose ones) aren’t respecting other people’s time. Even if that’s not the intention it’s still just… rude to the other person. Other people still have lives when you’re not there, and expecting everyone else to just be ready for “whenever” you feel like showing up without a word is not ok. Again, if it happens only once in a while because Shit Happens that’s different. But if it’s every time, with everyone, forever, then really you’re just a bit inconsiderate.
R says he doesn’t feel that way because he doesn’t have anything going on so it doesn’t bother him, so he isn’t upset with D (even though I have things on, so it does impact and bother me, his partner) but he is upset with me because I am “making him feel bad”. D’s complete lack of communication and lateness is not the problem, the fact I am annoyed about it and choosing to stay home is the problem. I said it is not fair to blame me for this turn of events when (unlike D) I was VERY clear beforehand that I wouldn’t be going if this happened, and that if nothing else he should still be at least a little annoyed with D for not respecting my time after I’d already spoken to him about it.
Instead of actually sitting D down and properly telling him “look I don’t have things to do but L does and it does bother her when you don’t communicate anything so it is messing with her work when you do this and that is not ok”, R then said he just won’t invite me to anything ever again. So I can’t be upset if he’s late.
AITA for refusing to go to board game night?
What are these acronyms?

Could I request nsfw headcanons for Haarlep, Dammon, Rolan, and Zevlor with female Tav who has a praise kink?
Nonnie, I was genuinely elated to receive this request - thank you for feeding my brain worms.
NSFW CONTENT BELOW CUT. MINORS DNI.
Tiefling Bachelors (+ Haarlep) with F!Tav who Has a Praise Kink
Haarlep
They are a relentless tease. The moment they manage to discover that Tav enjoys praise, they're weaponizing their findings.
Perhaps it's whispered in her ear while she's going about her business in the House of Hope - breathy and quiet, compliments on her appearance, on how well she's completing her tasks. Haarlep thrills in the shiver it sends through her, the way she tenses and her cheeks flush. When she confronts them, they play innocent - they were simply complimenting her, darling, really, what's all the fuss about?
It's worse in the bedroom. Bits of adoration, groaned out in the heat of the moment - that she's a good girl, that she's taking them so well, that she's ever-so-pretty spread out on the bed for them.
More than happy to indulge her, just don't expect them to be fair about it.
Rolan
I am a firm believer in switch!Rolan supremacy, and so I think the way he would go about this would depend largely on what role he's taking on on any given day.
If he's submissive, it's all needy whines of how good she's making him feel, how grateful he is for her, of how only she can make him feel like this.
His back arched off of the bed, clawed fingers digging into her back as she has her way with him, practically panting in her ear as he whimpers out a thin 'thank you'.
If he's dominant - as rare an occasion as that may be - he's tactful, I think. He knows how to be a smug little shit, that's quite literally cannon, and I think he revels in his ability to make them squirm with little more than his words.
He's careful and deliberate with dishing it out. A hand tangled in her hair as she's on her knees for him, a soft murmur of 'good girl'.
Undressing her and kissing every inch of skin as it comes into view, whispering compliments against her skin.
Probably gives instruction and praises her for complying. "Lie back for me, just like that. Good. Look at you, such a vision."
Dammon
This man is a service top. Oh yeah, he can work with this.
He's fast and loose with it - perhaps overeager to indulge her in this. Constantly murmuring compliments against her skin, voice husky in her ear as he pushes into her - such a good girl, taking him so well, so perfect for him.
Is nothing but genuine, too. He really does think the world of her - why wouldn't he sing her praises?
Firmly believes in 'rewards' if she 'does well' during a session, for being so good for him. Will lie with his mouth between her thighs for hours if she lets him, babbling about how good she tastes, how much he loves her.
Literally just so so warm about the whole thing. He loves her, he loves doing things for her, of course he'll praise her if that's what she wants.
Zevlor
I HAVE THOUGHTS.
He knows the value of positive reinforcement - he used to be a soldier, after all.
He probably discovers it by accident one day, honestly. Perhaps he's helping her with combat technique, and when she finally gets a particularly difficult maneuver correct, he beams and offers her a low, "Very good."
It was meant to be innocuous, but he doesn't miss the way her cheeks flush, the way her breath catches in her throat.
He's too polite to say something then and there, but he quietly pockets away the information for later.
For context here, I HC that Zevlor is very much a dom, though he occasionally lets his partner assume the role - he does like to be pampered, from time to time.
He tentatively tries it out the next time they're intimate - nothing brazen, just a soft sort of reverence as he undresses them; ample compliments, warm and gravelly and low.
And when they have the same reaction as before, only amplified, he knows that he's on to something.
He gets a little bolder about it - a low groan of 'good girl' when she rides him, a gentle, 'I know, love, but you're doing so well for me' when his teasing proves a little too much for her.
I propose to you the following: Zevlor is 100% the type of guy to talk her through it.
'Just like that', 'So beautiful', 'Come for me, sweetheart. Good girl'.
In summary: I am normal about this man.

Wake up! It’s not real wake up wake up accept it wake up wake up wake up get up get up get up
Bruce sits bolt upright with a haze of fog still between his skin and his mind. Immediately, his gut feels off, the way his shoulders are loose with the lack of anxiety and paranoia that he’s grown used to, the way his vision is not quite aligned to his senses.
And yet.. he can’t seem to raise the right sense of alarm. His mind stays slow and calm, even as he mentally screams to start investigating. Someone, something is messing with his mind.
He turns his head to the side of the bed he’s in-another thing he does not recognize- surprised to find Diana laying next to him.
How is she here? No, they were on a mission, investigating.. something. Why can’t he remember? He’d had Oracle on comms, Wonder Woman at his side, it was a Justice League mission- why is he-
Bruce winces, sharp pain running across the front of his brain. What was-
The door slams open, a boy he doesn’t recognize standing there, dark black hair, and blue-green-blue eyes. His mind jumps to son, a shallow feeling of family bubbling up that makes Bruce want to recoil, this isn’t Damian, it’s not Tim or Jason or Dick or Cass- this isn’t his son! This isn’t his family! he wants to yell out.
And yet, his mouth calls him Danny, a name he doesn’t know and says with such familiarity.
“Dad! Babs is being a know it all again!”
Bruce feels his face smile without his permission just as he sees Barbara step around the doorframe.
She’s standing, she’s younger, she looks just a little different, hair pushed back by a teal blue headband- Bruce wants to scream, something is wrong!- instead he smiles more as she ruffles Danny’s hair.
“Little Brother, you’re going to be late for school,” Barbara says, despite the fact that she had always, always been an only child.
Diana sits up beside him, and Bruce can’t even turn away from the two in front of him, no matter how much he tries, barely managing a wide eye look from his peripheral. He can’t tell if Diana even catches it. He can’t move, can’t interrogate the only unknown here, kid or not, can’t research or ask Oracle for more information. Barbara hasn’t been able to reply to him any more than he has.
Within a blink, they’re downstairs-how did they get here, what’s happening, is there a time distortion as well?- and Bruce is standing at the stove top, a pan of broken eggs with small bits of shells in them in front of him.
It’s manageable. He could still finish these eggs- unbidden he steps aside, a jovial laugh as Diana goodnaturedly scolds his cooking abilities, emptying the pan and starting anew.
Bruce turns. Danny and Barbara are both sitting at the table, Danny the picture of teenage recklessness, homework spread in front of him.
Every word looks like scribbles, staring too hard makes his brain hurt.
The toaster dings. Danny looks up at it, glaring. Bruce swears his eyes flash green-
“All done! Enjoy!” The clink of plates hitting the table makes them both look over as Diana sets them down.
Barbara and Diana share a look even as Diana stiffly turns back to the counters.
Bruce looks at the toaster.
Empty.
“Come on, Babs we’re gonna be late for school!”
Barbara hesitates, a pained look hidden just behind her eyes, “Danny, I- my legs hurt right now okay? I can’t drive us to-“ The words sound like a struggle to get out. And Danny stands stock still in the living room, looking at her with unnatural stillness.
“But you always drive us to school.”
Bruce watches Barbara’s body snap back to that same stiffness as before as she moves to stand from the kitchen table.
Bruce forces a step forward, smile on his face, “How about I drive you today, kiddo?”
“Okay, Dad!” Danny smiles, movement returning to the room. He moves to grab his backpack left against the wall and Bruce throws another look at Barbara from the side of his eye. She’s okay for now, body more natural as she returns the look with wide eyes herself.
Still, she stands and follows after them as his feet lead them to the car out front.
It’s an old station wagon, a stereotypical family car.
Even as Bruce walks around to the driver door, keys somehow already in his pocket, he catches Danny staring at the car with narrowed eyes and suspicion.
Bruce looked back at the car- truck, had it always been a truck, no, no, no, it changed it changed, things were changing.
Danny climbed into the backseat like nothing was different and Bruce did the same, Barbara behind him in the backseat.
His body is autonomous on the drive, even as Bruce tries futilely to jerk the wheel or slam the pedals, they continue to go forward on the road, Bruce’s face as calm as ever. It’s almost familiar, the two of them bickering in the back seat, chattering like his own children, there were his own- no! They weren’t! His kids were out there! Not here! Not here not here-
Bruce stops, awareness heightening abruptly, his limbs his own.
They’re at a stop light, despite there being no other cars around.
The backseat is silent.
Bruce turns back, surprised to see Danny staring silently out the window. He looks at Barbara next, grateful to see real emotion, pain, panic, on her face, not just hidden behind wide empty eyes.
Danny continues to stare out the window.
Bruce follows his line of sight across the street to a closed down burger restaurant. The outside looks clean, but the sign looks burnt and destroyed. Yellow caution tape flaps in the wind across the entrance.
“Danny, what are you looking at?” He asks, surprised to hear the words come out, completely of his own volition.
Danny doesn’t move.
“We don’t go there anymore.”
Bruce narrows his eyes, clues filing into order, “Why, Danny. What is that place?”
“We just don’t.”
“Why Danny, why is that place so-“
“We just DON’T, okay!” Danny shouts, face angry as he turns around to yell, and there- his eyes, that flash of neon-
Bruce is facing forward again. The light is green. The car moves, sound resumes.
His chance is gone.
Bruce wants to grit his teeth, clench the leather of his gauntlets beneath his fists. He barely manages to tighten his hands around the steering wheel.
Too quickly they arrive at the school. Barbara slowly getting out even as Danny practically races up the steps. Bruce wants to help her, surprisingly, his body follows. Allow him to support her under a hug, a fatherly hand on her opposite shoulder, fingers supporting her armpit as they go up the stairs.
Danny looks at them with a tilt of his head and furrowed brows.
Words fall from Bruce’s mouth, unbidden, as his feet force him backwards, “See you after school, Danno! Bye, Babsy-pants!”
The look vanishes from Danny’s face.
Seconds later, a man approaches them, eyes zeroed in on Danny.
“Ah, Daniel, glad to see you’re on time!” The man says, and Danny looks at him, blinking harshly with confusion apparent.
“You must be young Daniel’s father… Jack, was it?” The man smiles slightly and turns to Bruce, grey hair tied in a ponytail behind him, “I am his teacher, Mr. Lancer.”
Bruce’s neck tingles, an odd sense of familiar paranoia prickling his nerves, “It’s Bruce, a pleasure to meet you,” he shakes the offered hand automatically, watching as the man’s smile sharpens at the edges.
“And the same to you… Mr. Fenton.”
The name rings hollow in his memory, barely scratching a memory before it is buried under fog and stuffed cotton.
“I just have so much to teach him,” Mr. Lancer smiles again, watching as Danny finally walks fully through the school doors, turning down a hallway.
Even under whatever spell this is, Bruce is wary of this teacher, though he can do nothing to show it, even feel it past a surface notion of wrongness. But still, his feet carry him down the steps without his permission, away from a kid he is ostentatiously supposed to protect.
As he gets closer to the car, Bruce feels the cloud over his thoughts get thicker, step by step, each clogging his mind more.
He catches sight of the school’s announcement sign, the date.
Mid-October, the numbers hard to read, but he caught enough.
They were months into the school year already. How long had he been here? How long before he’d even woken up enough to know it? How long had he been away from his family?
His fingers clasp around the cool metal of the door handle.
Bruce blinks.
The bell rings.
Faceless, unfamiliar kids flood out of the doors and Bruce gets out of the truck- car, it was a car, it was a car-greeting Danny with a hug, Barbara with a helping hand.
They leave almost immediately, the two of them in the backseat as Bruce drives.
Occasionally, Bruce will look in the rear view mirror and find a completely different sight, the road cracked and broken, buildings abandoned, streets empty; and yet when he checks again, it’s gone. The reflection the same as the road before him.
He can only see it like a translucent image in his peripheral.
Somehow their route home does not take them back past the burger restaurant again. Bruce has used and discarded three different mind strengthening techniques by the time they are back in front of the house.
He parks, noticing for the first time how the air shimmers in front and top of it, the light shifting like a curtain covering furniture when he doesn’t look directly at it.
Diana is sitting on the couch in the living room when they come in, a laptop perched on her lap, looking for all the world like a stay at home worker.
The seemingly blank pieces of paper on the coffee table are discarded as she gets up and moves towards the kitchen.
“Welcome home Danny, how was school Babs?” She says, food preparations already set out around her.
Bruce walks towards her, a hand across her shoulders; the picture of loving parents.
He hopes the feeling of solidarity gleams through anyways.
Freedom of movement snaps through his body so suddenly he nearly staggers. He looks at Diana, a thousand words in one glance, then turns to Danny.
The boy is staring at the door on the side of the kitchen. By its placement, Bruce would guess storage, a pantry, a basement maybe. He hesitates to break the unnatural stillness in the air.
Diana is already halfway to the door, Barbara is at the table, thumbs flying across her phone screen.
He makes a decision, throwing away the facade, “Danny, where are we? Why are we here?”
Danny’s face furrows, head tilting in confusion, but his eyes don’t leave the basement door, green light seeping from the edges.
“We’re… at home. Right? I just wanted… I wanted to go home..” Danny says, eyes flickering that damning bright green.
Bruce presses on, he needs answers, “What happened here Danny? What is this? Why are we here?”
“I…” Danny’s face furrows further, “I don’t…”
The doorbell rings, snapping Danny’s attention to it. Taking with it his mind and movement, fog sliding over his senses.
Bruce’s looks at the basement door from the side of his vision, any hint of green light gone.
“Danny, your friends are here!” Diana’s voice calls out.
Bruce’s vision jumps to the front door, thankful that he follows Danny as he leaves the kitchen.
No no no.. no no.. not them, leave them alone, leave them out of this!
Tim and Stephanie stand at the door, plastic smiles on their faces as they high-five Danny.
“Hey guys! Ready to play Doom?!” Danny says, a wide smile on his face, leading them both inside.
Straight past Bruce.
They walk right past him, shallow words and teenage garble trading between them like it’s natural, like it’s real. Why wouldn’t it be?
NO! Not them! None of it’s real! Let them go!
“You know it Danny! I got new mods, maybe we’ll finally beat Steph!” Tim says, loud in way he never is, pulling a bulky PDA from his pocket.
Stephanie laughs, elbowing the both of them, “Not in a million years, T!”
Bruce watches, helpless to stop them as they go past him, raging against his own body.
Tim casts a desperate look over his shoulder before they disappear up the stairs.
He manages a glance at both Diana and Barbara, each returning the tense undercurrent of urgency that runs through them all.
Even as the fog thickens, submerging his thoughts like polluted waters, he forces his mind to center on one thought, even if that’s all he can do for now, he will not be locked back into this lie they are trapped in.
He will fix this.
Somehow.

English Lessons (Leila Ouahabi x reader)
Warnings: none.
Description: Reader trying to teach Leila English is not going as well as hoped, but why?
Notes: hey! remember me? probably not, but I started writing this in like December and only just got it finished, I’ve got a couple of other fics in the works but going on how long this took to write it’ll probably be a while before they’re out 😬 (also not my gif, can’t remember where I saved it from tho so sorry if it’s yours)
Word count: 2460
“Leila”, you pause, rubbing your eyes, “this clearly isn’t working”, you speak in Spanish. You had spent four years playing for Atletico Madrid and had picked up the language surprisingly easy, so as a result of your fluency in her native tongue, Leila had immediately used her charm to convince you to help teach her English. The thing is, it was not going well, it seemed that she had reached a point and stayed there. You hadn’t seen any improvement in her ability to speak your native language for weeks now and you were honestly loosing hope, “I think you should just speak to the club, they can get you a proper teacher, which, might I remind you, you should have had from the beginning”.
“I don’t want another teacher”, she replies, in perfect, though still heavily accented, English.
“Well something here clearly isn’t working because every time we come in here you just get worse if anything”, you throw your hands in the air, feeling exasperated at the situation.
“I’m not”, Leila insists, “I am better, I just”, she pauses deciding whether of not she wanted to tell you the real reason she wasn’t improving, “look y/n”, she starts, beginning to reach out and take one of your hands in hers, but is cut off as the door to the conference room you’re currently sat in swings open, revealing your other Spanish teammate.
“Steph sent me to come and get you both”, Laia starts, speaking Spanish, “trainings starting earlier than planned because of the rain forecast for later”, she explains, “they want to get on before the pitch gets too bad”, she finishes and quickly disappears back out the door, not leaving either of you any time to ask questions.
“We better go”, you tell Leila, picking up the English practice books the club had provided you.
“Y/n”, Leila said, grabbing onto your hand before you could disappear after Laia, “my English is good”, she insists, though saying it in Spanish left you unconvinced, “you’re a good teacher, I don’t want another one”.
“Maybe try saying that in English and I might believe you”, you reply, your tone dejected. You left the room, heading straight to the locker room, before she could hold you back any more.
Leila pauses for a minute before following after you, hitting her head gently against the wall after you’d left, “Idiota, idiota, idiota”, she repeats quietly to herself as she does so, “solo decirle”, (just tell her) she mumbles to herself, throwing her hands in the air as she follows after you towards to locker room to get ready for training.
——
Training went well, the rain held off until the last few minutes so while you were definitely all completely drenched, the mud wasn’t too bad.
“Ice baths?”, Laia suggested to you as you all made your way back inside. It had become a habit that you, her and Leila would all go to the ice baths together after training or a game. Your ability to speak Spanish, and previous friendship Laia, having played at Atleti together along with Deyna, had meant you had developed quite a close friendship with all your Spanish speaking teammates. You would often spend time hanging out with them instead of your fellow England players, which of course had led to a lot of teasing from the likes of Lauren and Chloe, with them suggesting that you might as well go and play for either Spain or Venezuela if you enjoyed hanging out with them so much.
You nodded at Laia and grabbed your phone and a towel from your locker before following behind the young centre back and making your way into the ice cold tub next to her.
The two of you stayed mostly silent, both individually scrolling through your phones as the 5 minute timer slowly ticked down.
“So what’s going on with you and Lei?”, she suddenly asks out if no where. Your head whipped up to look at her, before your eyes quickly scanned your surroundings to make sure no one else was around to hear. Luckily, she’d chosen to speak Spanish so there would only be a select number of your teammates who would understand, but one of those happened to be the exact person you definitely didn’t want to hear.
“What?”, you scoffed, trying (and failing) to act as casual as possible at her suggestion.
“She likes you”, she states like she knows it as fact, “and I’m pretty sure you like her back so…”, she trails off.
“So what?”, you asked, before quickly following up with, “and she doesn’t like me”, you paused, “and I don’t like her, not like that”, you insisted.
The truth was, you and the older Spaniard had been dancing around each other flirtatiously for weeks, if not months, at this point. Your problem was you could never tell if she was serious. Leila was naturally a very happy, flirty person, a fact you knew well having played against her for years in Spain, and you had always gone along with it thinking it would never go any further beyond a flirtatious rivalry. But now you played for the same team, and what had started out innocently had developed into something you were afraid was becoming a little too real.
“Right”, Laia didn’t seem at all convinced by your argument.
The conversation ended there though, as the woman herself entered the room and made her way into the ice bath with the two of you.
“Who died?”, she asked, sensing an air of awkwardness around, “did I just walk in on something”, she asked, her eyebrows wiggling in a jokingly suggestive way. Neither of you responded, Laia just watching you as you refused to look up from your phone, “did I walk in on something?”, Leila asked again, a more serious tone to her voice this time.
Laia shook her head, rolling her eyes, both at Leilas ridiculous suggestion, and at your denial to what she could clearly see blossoming between you and the left back.
The three of you stayed silent for a while before Laia conveniently got a phone call and left you and Leila there by yourselves. Judging by the intense eye contact she sent your way as she left the room, you’d guess it wasn’t so much ‘convenient’ as it was set up.
“You want to have Sushi?”, Leila asked, in English, almost like she was trying to prove a point.
“Now?”, you question, as hers had been rather open ended and it’d become a habit for you to make every conversation you had in English a lesson for her.
“No, later”, she confirmed, rolling hers eyes at you as she knew what you were doing.
“Ask me again”.
“You want sushi later?”, she asked again.
“I might get sushi later, yeah, why?”, you were being difficult. You knew exactly what she was trying to say and she knew it, you just wanted her to ask it properly.
“You want it with me?”, she pushed, getting closer to how you wanted her to say it.
“Want what with you?”, you feigned confusion and she rolled her eyes.
“Do you want to got out for sushi with me later?”, she asked, in Spanish this time, as she’d given up trying to work out how to say it in English.
“No comprendo”, you shrugged you shoulders at her, acting like you didn’t understand what she was saying.
She slapped your shoulder, “You want to have sushi later, with me”, she finally says, though it sounds more like a statement than a question.
“I would love to”, you smiled cheekily at her. She shoved your shoulder lightly in response, “on one condition”.
“Ugh, what?”, she rolled her eyes.
“You have to speak English, all evening”, you state.
Your alarm sounded suddenly, signalling your 5 minutes in the ice cold water you hated so much was over and you immediately moved to leave the small pool.
A hand grabbed yours before you could make it all the way out however.
“This means we still have lessons for English tomorrow, yes?”, Leila asked you, the look in her eyes, combined with her thumb brushing over your knuckles almost making you melt.
You sighed, “Lei”, you paused, giving her a chance to pull you back into the pool, a little closer to her, “I really think you should get a teacher”.
“I have a teacher”, she insisted, grabbing your second hand, “she is the best”, the soft look in her eye was gradually changing into that look. You know the one, where her lips curve into that charming smirk, and for a second you think she might just lean in and kiss you.
She doesn’t, and you scold yourself for even allowing your mind to go there.
“We’ll see”, you state, removing yourself from her grip and exiting the pool.
Leila watches as you leave, and internally groans. She decides then and there that she needs to tell you how she feels.
——
It’s much later in the day when you find yourself taking a seat at a table opposite Leila. You’d lost count of the number of times the two of you had come here, it was definitely at least twice a week at this point, but you loved it.
“Let me guess”, Leila says as she picks up a menu, “onigiri?”, she asks, referring to the rice dish you got every time you came.
“You know me so well”, you smile back at her, before reading over some of the other options.
The evening goes the same as any other the two of your spent eating sushi together. Far too much food is consumed and you’ve talked about just about anything that had come up. Yet the conversation never got boring. It never did with her. And she had managed to speak English all evening, to a pretty good level too, only getting caught up on a few words.
You now found yourself walking down the pavement in the brisk Manchester evening air. The two of you had decided to walk home, your apartment buildings were right next to each other, as most of cities players were, and the walk was short enough for it not to be a trek, but long enough that it allowed your overfilled stomach to settle before going to bed.
There was a brief lull in conversation as you looked up at the sky, the night was clear, and even with all the light pollution from the city around you, you could make out some of the brightest stars.
You’re pulled from your thoughts as you feel Leila’s hand intertwine with your own, causing your gaze to shift from the sky, to glance down at you now joined hands before coming to settle on her face. She was already looking at you, and unreadable expression on her face.
She was trying to read you, trying to see if what she was doing was okay.
“Lei, what are you doing?”, you asked quietly, but you didn’t let go of her hand.
“Holding your hand”, she explained simply.
You continue walking for a while. The silence between you comfortable, at least for you. For Leila, it gave her far too much time to think, and getting her thoughts together was becoming increasingly difficult.
She pulls you to a stop.
“Lei-“, you go to question her, but she cuts you off.
“You know I like you?”, she says, it’s phrased like a statement but the upwards inflection towards the end informs you it is actually a question. Knowing, however, does not help your brain fully compute exactly what it is she’s asking. Or is she telling you?
“What?”, is all you manage to get out.
“I’m not good in English”, she explains, you furrow your brow because the statement really doesn’t help clear any of this up, “in Spanish I’m good, I can flirt easy with you, but English is hard and I don’t sound good”.
“Wha-“, you go to say again, your brain short-circuiting at what she appears to be saying.
“I only want you to teach me English because I want to spend a lot of time with you”, she stumbles through the sentence in English and while your brain gradually catches up to what she seems to be implying, you struggle to fight off the smile that wants to form on your lips as you watch her, “I think you are amazing and beautiful and, and I don’t know any more English words that you are but I know there must be a lot”.
You’re just watching her at this point, as she adorably continues to mumble out words she thinks could potentially describe how she sees you, with the same smile plastered on your face from before, except now you’re not fighting it. Until eventually you can’t help yourself, the words aren’t coming to you anyway so instead of saying something you take her face in your hands and place your lips on hers, shutting her up immediately.
She doesn’t respond for a second, due to the shock, but as soon as she realises what’s happening, her hands are holding you against her instantly, and her lips move with yours in a synchronicity that honestly surprises you a little. In all your 27 years of living you can honestly say you’ve never experienced a kiss quite like this first one with Leila.
You pull away eventually, but your hands remain on either side of her face, your thumb running gently over her bottom lip, already wanting to kiss them again.
“So you-”, Leila starts but you cuts her off.
“You can speak Spanish now”.
She giggles lightly before speaking again, “if that terrible speech got you to kiss me like that I can’t wait to see what happens when I can use my charm properly”, she says in Spanish now, that signature smirk back on her face as her arms tighten themselves around you ever so slightly.
“Well it convinced me to help teach you English, so who knows what else you could convince me to do”, you teased back.
“Maybe we can find out back at my apartment?”, Leila suggests.
You agree and the two of you start heading in that direction.
“Just so you know, this definitely means you’re getting an actual English teacher now”, you tell her as you walk together, her arm draped over your shoulder and yours wrapped around her waist.
“Yeah I thought so”, she laughed, “I’m surprised you held out so long”.
“Well believe it or not, but I actually liked the excuse to spend time alone with you”.
“I knew it!”, she exclaims, kissing your cheek and guiding you into her apartment building.

Excuse me but I wanna ramble a bit about my thoughts-
Been thinking a lot about the Submas ancestors. They exist in the same time period Ingo is trapped in, and it got me really wondering, what if they met? How would they meet? What would they think of him? Would they help him? Anyways, here are my thoughts about that if anyone would like to read:
So basically I created this little story in my head, how Laventon writes to Annie and Ellie telling them of this odd fellow that looks an awful lot like them. They get really curious, and take a trip to Husui themselves. Of course that’s when they meet Ingo, and they are absolutely bewildered at seeing this man that looks so similar to them yet they don’t recall him as any family member they’ve met.
Well, after a long while of talking, they come to the conclusion that he’s from the future. How so? A pocket watch passed down generations, that he and Annie just so happen to have the same exact copy of. So naturally because of some recent literature she’s read, her conclusion was time travel! It had to be, how else would he have the same locket? Albeit more worn than hers.
So from there (after some heavy convincing and asking for Lady Sneasler’s blessing) they whisk him off to Galar, where they do some pretty heavy research themselves! In the meantime, some of Ingo’s memories return. Seeing so many trains come and go in Galar gave him vague recollections of a smiling figure that looks oddly familiar to him, but he can’t quite put his finger on it.
Meanwhile, after pillaging through every library Wyndon had to offer, Annie and Ellie were able to find something: Stories of a mythical Pokemon titled the “Forest Guardian” with the ability to travel through time. Now the big issue was finding said creature. There was a rumor it could be found in Johto, but no one knew the exact location. So, skipping all the details to not to bore anyone, they go on an adventure, doing some extensive exploration, until finally after some sheer miracle and months of trial and error, they finally find the guardian.
Finally faced with the guardian, Annie and Ellie give many sorrowful words and say goodbye to Ingo, happy to have helped him get back where he belonged. It’s a bit bittersweet for them, obviously they knew he couldn’t stay, but it still felt like loosing someone you had been close to, like loosing family.
BUT YEAH, that’s my silly little idea! I hope it was worth the read. I’ll probably draw some of it at some point, I’d really love to have Annie and Ingo interact especially.

kinktober day 12: facesitting (f!kylar x gn!pc)
word count: 995 note: loose continuation of this royalty au fic, also find more abt the royalty au here tags/warnings: facesitting, au, cunnilingus, kylar tries to be dom but really dom reader, mostly just me simping over kylar tbh
“And you have to do what I say, because I’m the princess!” Kylar huffed.
You flashed her a teasing smile. It was far too easy to rile her up, and admittedly too fun. “That usually works for you, yeah?”
Kylar glared at you, folding her arms across her chest, but the pink tinge to her cheeks gave away how flustered she was truly feeling.
It had been a few months since Kylar had kidnapped you and essentially forced you into being her personal guard-slash-concubine. The “guard” thing was mostly just how she introduced you to others. For the most part, you served as the princess’s sex toy.
It wasn’t a bad position to be in by any means. You were fed and housed, even though the castle was ramshackle and the food not great. But you could be out fending for yourself.
Plus, you got to tease the adorable Kylar constantly, which had become one of your favorite pastimes.
It was almost like a game the two of you played. The spoiled princess made demands of you. You put up a fight, but eventually gave in. Honestly, it was something you really enjoyed, and it was pretty obvious Kylar felt the same way.
“If you don’t like it, then you’re free to go back into the dungeon,” Kylar said, but you knew she didn’t mean it.
You feigned being hurt, pressing your hand to your chest and sighing dramatically. “Princess, you wound me! You wouldn’t be so cold-hearted, would you?”
She wiggled slightly, blush creeping up her neck as she sat on her bed. “I…I would.”
You sat next to her, leaning in so your breath ghosted against her throat. Kylar shivered and you were so close, you could see the hair on the back of her neck stand up. “I see. Better do as the princess says, then,” you whispered.
You started pressing kisses to her neck as your fingers deftly worked to undo her corset and gown. You prided yourself in how skilled you were at undressing Kylar. Soon enough, she wore nothing but a chemise, hare nipples tenting the fabric slightly.
Smirking, you ran a hand up her inner thigh and brushed against her core. Kylar yelped. “Princess, soaking already,” you murmured.
Flustered, Kylar squirmed, but you pushed her down onto the bed and then laid next to her. “Well? Didn’t my princess demand something of me?”
Kylar hesitated for a moment, making you giggle, but she hiked up the skirt of her chemise and straddled your face. You breathed in her sweet, musky scent as your hands gripped her fleshy ass.
It was adorable how Kylar tried to act like a dominant leader, yet fell to pieces around you every time. You could feel her thighs trembling, afraid to put her full body weight on you. A shaky exhale was the sign that yes, she had felt your nose bump her clit.
“C’mere,” you murmured, punctuating with a lick to her folds. Kylar gasped. “Sit down, princess. I can handle it.”
Digging your nails into her flesh, you set yourself to work, collecting Kylar’s sweet juices on your tongue. Soft sighs fell from her mouth with each twist of your tongue. Your sweet, spoiled princess had demanded to sit on your face enough times that you were confident in your abilities to make her cum.
As you flicked your tongue up to Kylar’s clit, you also looked up at the beautiful girl hovering above you. Her fists were clenching the skirt of her chemise, her eyes squeezed shut with her lips parted slightly. The stunning sight made you only want to tease you further. So you sucked on her bundle of nerves, which made her hips buck forward and grind on your face.
“Just like that, good girl,” you mumbled. You swiped your tongue through her folds again, drinking her up. Kylar whined out your name as you did so.
Kylar seemed to be growing more confident, steadily grinding her dripping cunt against your face as you wormed your tongue into her hole, twisting and curling it to suck up every last drop.
“P-please,” Kylar moaned, and you could tell she was close. You kept up your work until she cried out your name and even more juices gushed out of her.
She panted heavily and looked down at you, the two of you making eye contact. Kylar’s face turned even redder when you winked at her. She knew what was coming next - a princess couldn’t possibly be satisfied with only one orgasm, after all.
You kept licking and sucking her wet cunt at a steady pace, enjoying the way Kylar writhed and moaned above you. To you, there was nothing more arousing than watching her come completely undone by your hand (or mouth, that is).
Your deft tongue drew a second and even third orgasm from the princess, who at this point was practically sobbing from it all. She choked out your name with a soft “please,” and you knew she had hit her limit.
Wrapping your arms around Kylar’s soft thighs, you suddenly flipped her over so she was on her back, and you now were hovering above her. With her wide eyes gazing up at you, pupils wide, you bent your head down and kissed her passionately, forcing her essence into her own mouth.
“You always taste so sweet,” you murmured against her lips, looking at her with heavily lidded eyes. Her adorable, fucked our face made you want to lower your head back down and keep drawing out orgasm after orgasm. But you held yourself back. “Was my work satisfactory to your highness?”
Kylar, who needed a few moments to catch her breath, nodded. “Y-yes,” she managed. “You did, u-um, you did quite well.”
You grinned. “Good,” and went to settle in next to her, but you suddenly found yourself flat on your back, Kylar straddling your thighs. She flashed you a slightly crazed smile.
“Your turn.”

ꜱᴛᴀʏ ᴀᴡᴀʏ (Yandere! Haitani Brothers)
| Yandere Haitani Brothers x Toman Darling | (F!Reader)
(For this piece you are now the division 3 captain since Pah and mobeius, Peh-yan is your sub captain.)
(THIS IS NOT A PART 2 TO MY OTHER WORK)
~
They both saw you during the fight with Valhalla, You fought hard even outnumbered. You look at them every now and then catching glances. Smiling at them then going back to scowling at enemies
You're beautiful even when fighting and being out numbered. Part of them wanted to just grab you and make off with you then. 𝕊𝕠 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥'𝕤 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕪 𝕕𝕚𝕕
As you were fighting members of Valhalla, You noticed them rise from their seats. You paid no attention as you found yourself looking for people to help in the fight and to take out more of Valhalla.
As you're distracted you feel an arm around your waist, You think it's another member of Valhalla getting the better of you. Just to be picked up by the oldest haitani as he holds you on his shoulder and runs. You hear Peh-Yan scream something but you struggle to get out their hold "You're supposed to watch-! Get off me! Put me down!" You thrash in his hold as they make off with you. "You're a girl you shouldn't be fighting." The youngest Haitani says calmly.
You grumbled at their words. "I appreciate your insight but I need you to let me go.. Here, Take this whatever you have to tell me. Tell me later." You rip off part of your toman uniform sleeve and write down your number and hand it to the men.
As you distract them with your phone number and jump out of Ran's arm. Rushing back to the fight and praying to not see your teammates dead.
The fight ends, Baji is dead and Kazutora was in jail. You are still in awe from Takemichi's action. You talk to him and compliment his abilities.
Time flies and you never hear from the Haitani brothers. After the christmas battle you start to become closer with Takemichi and his Sub captain.
You were with Takemichi and Chifuyu at shibuya station talking about things, When you three see Makoto and Yamigishi in horrible health. They rush towards you, Then you look to the side to see atleast a hundred men in red suits walking out of the train talking about..Toman!? Then you notice a man holding akkun and asking if we were Toman, I stagger. Chifuyu kicks the man in the face and the chase begins. You run for your life knowing slowing down you would be beaten beyond recovery. You loose chifuyu as you run with the Mizo. And rush inside a building running through it to the other end's exit. You rush run with Takemichi to find chifuyu.
Takemichi is swung down and hit. But You and the mizo do what you can to stick together. In the end you were all sorely beaten. Your clothes ripped. You notice kisaki and scowl.
Eventually you go off with the Kawata twins. And make it out with minimal injuries.
The fight with tenjiku approaches.
You had promised to watch Mana and Luna for Mitsuya, (They Adored you and thought of you as a sister). You knew the fight would be soon and tucked both girls into bed, You would be back before they awoke in the morning. You felt bad they must miss their brother who was still in the hospital from getting jumped by tenjiku. You packed your things and headed out.
Just as you walked home in the dark you thought you heard footsteps. Then, Everything went dark.
You awake to be in the place the fight should be held. "Has it started.." You whisper as you try to shake yourself awake, Your hand tied behind your back. You looked up to notice other men next to you and in the pier.
Tenjiku..Before another thought hit you something else did, Izana's fist to your stomach. You want to scream but he pushes you over. You look over to see the Haitani brothers not looking at you, Did they even know you were here?
Izana was going on about Toman until you broke the silence "How you let Emma die!! I'll kill you, You bastard!" But those words leaded to loud laughter around and a kick from Izana sending you flying.
Then you notice hands on your shoulders standing behind you. The youngest Haitani mouthes something to Izana and his face changes. "Go ahead." You hear Izana say. You are hoisted up to see the haitani's you had met so long ago. "Y-you-!?" They carry you off and tie you to a nearby pole. "You will be watching. Not fighting." Rindou says.
And that's what you did, Watching in agony of the fight but it didn't seem toman noticed you. After the fight was over and so many had died. You were taken by the Haitani's again (They were not arrested)
You were taken to their shared apartment. And sat down on the couch. Tears in your eyes and you could see the uncaring looks on their faces.
"Why do you work for Toman?" The oldest speaks, Breaking the silence.
"They're my family, They are everything to me and I couldn't be there to help fight.."
"What a shame.. But we did save you from injuries, You should be thanking us." The youngest says.
"Thanking you!?"
"If we didn't take you, Izana would have killed you along with the other men.." Rindou replys
That keeps you silent, You don't say anything
""Just- Hold still." Rindou holds you. Is he trying to comfort you.?
Ran leaves a small smile. "You'll be spending some time with us. I suggest you show some respect, Flower."
Nicknames? You're confused but exhausted from the sobbing and screaming. You slip into unconsciousness. And you hear some words you couldn't understand.
"Goodnight Princess."
(This felt so corny to write :')
(Part 2? Request it! I need to know people like this..)
(Also sorry for so many timeskips if there is a part 2 there will be less of those hopefully)

////
“I think you’re being summoned.”
“Am I?”
You watch in professional disbelief as Harry Styles turns in profile to find that, yes, his publicist is waving him onto the next interview.
“Oh, yeah,” he pouts, “So sad, I was having such a good time chatting.”
“Don’t worry,” you reply with an air of chumminess you can’t quite believe is coming across as effortless, “We’ll find a time soon, darling, I promise.”
“They can’t keep us apart, I won’t let them,” he declares, “Keep up the good work.”
“I’ll certainly try!” You call after his retreating back. As soon as he’s out of ear and eye shot you double over, wheezing to the camera man, “I can’t believe I just had a full conversation with him.”
It’s the 2023 Britt Awards and British GQ has hired you as a representative for the red carpet, after your web series gained popularity and got you noticed by large publications across Europe and America. In a world where every interview has to have a schtick, yours is called “Two Drink Minimum,” a show where you invite celebrities out for at least two drinks and ask them increasingly more ridiculous questions as the night progresses. So far, you’ve hosted names such as Pedro Pascal, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jonathon Van Ness and in the new year, it seems like everyone’s publicist is in your inbox asking for a feature. Your career has led you to a lot of “pinch me” moments, but watching Harry Styles’ ever-sequined back sauntering away from you calls for a punch square in the face.
Suddenly, a male voice pulls you from your star-struck stupor.
“I was hoping you’d be here.”
You start, spinning around to come face to face with the man who decorated both your high school bedroom and college dorm room, and your phone lockscreen for as long as you can remember having one. Matty Healy, wearing a dark green suit and an amused smile.
You press a hand to your chest, “You scared me-”
Instinctively, he reaches for your forearm, “-oh no, I didn’t mean to scare you-”
You grip the sleeve of his suit, hardly believing his real skin and bone is beneath it, “-you just materialized out of nowhere-”
“-I was just so excited to see you, I couldn’t help myself.” He giggles — really giggles.
You can feel your face heating up in spite of yourself, “Wha- excited to see me? Matty Healy please-”
“No, really, ask the boys I’ve been dying to meet you.”
The knowledge that the men of the 1975 have even mentioned your name, let alone had full conversations about you, is almost too much to handle. You search for a word, anything really, that might be appropriate. Your brain feels like hot pea soup.
“And where is your… gang this evening?”
His brow furrows, you immediately regret saying anything. Staring at him might’ve even been better.
His lips turn up at the end, “Gang?-”
You’re already explaining yourself, “I don’t know why I said that you’re-”
He’s smiling full on now, like he knows something you don’t,“Yeah, there’s a name for what we are, love, it’s a-”
“- A band, I’m sorry it’s just that I’ve been talking to Harry Styles and I’ve lost all cognitive ability,” you joke, gesturing wildly at your forehead.
He rolls his eyes, the smile becomes a smirk, “Oh that’s it, is it, you’re still thinking about him? Should I leave, should I go find him for you?” He points his thumb behind him, already turning to go.
You reach for his arm again, giggling at his sarcasm, “No, no, Matty that’s not what I meant-”
“- No it’s alright, I don’t want to stand in the way of true love.” He waves one hand at you, the other loosely holds your finger tips.
“No, honestly what it is is that I’m actually getting really nervous around you but I was embarrassed so I used Harry as a cover,” Truer words had never been spoken.
He’s nodding, a single strand of hair tickling his eyebrows,“Oh, there’s the backpedal, no it’s alright the damage is done, I see where I stand. Just England’s second best male pop star, that’s alright.”
You whistle through your teeth, donning a jokingly skeptical look,“I don’t know, I feel like Ed Sheeran might have that title.”
His mouth actually falls open at that,“Ed Shee- right I’m leaving, you’ve slandered me for the last time-”
You’re laughing now, the nerves have gone. It feels like you’ve been old friends forever,“No! Matty, don’t give up on us-”
He shakes his head, looking away from you into the crowd, “-after I was so kind and complimentary to you-”
“- you’re right I’m the worst, I’m awful-”
“-telling you how excited I was to see you, practically baring my soul-”
“- please come back, let’s talk about this!”
“Ok, fine you’ve convinced me.” He circles back to you, clasping his hands in front of him. His eyes make a trail from your eyes to your mouth to your necklace back to your eyes. If you weren’t blushing before you certainly are now.
You take a deep breath, “Ok, now you were telling me where your band is.”
“Yeah, they’re queueing at the Glam Bot.”
“Oh, is there a line?”
“Yeah, it’s ages long too, I couldn’t stand there any longer. George is gonna text me when we’re up.”
“Do you have your pose planned?” You ask.
“No, and I’ll tell you what we should probably figure that out because that thing is proper intimidating.”
“Yeah, it comes at you awfully fast doesn’t it?”
“Yes! It’s so fast, I get nervous just watching it.”
“Matty Healy? Afraid of a robot?”
He frowns with his whole face, leaning backwards,“No, no, I’m not. I’m a big guy, I don’t get scared-”
You roll your eyes, laughing through your nose,“That’s right I forgot, forgive me.”
“-It’s fine, just try to remember next time,” He winks at you, just barely so much so you think you might have imagined it, “No, I’m mostly just scared that I’ll blink or something stupid.”
You make a noise of agreement, “Do you want to practice not blinking?”
He bites his lip in thought,“How would we do that, exactly?”
“Easy, we’ll just have a staring contest.”
“Oh yeah, okay .”
You square off, each of you closing your eyes in preparation.
“Ok,” you say, “Counting us down. Three, two, one, go.”
You open your eyes and are immediately met with his stare, dark amber, autumn leaves and the forest at sunrise, maple and mahogany. Your breath catches in your throat. He’s smirking at you again, as if he can read your thoughts. You try to think about neutral things, dogs, going to the grocery store tomorrow, how much your feet hurt right now, just in case he can.
“My eyes hurt already,” You whisper.
He doesn’t say anything, just hums something under his breath. It all feels strangely intimate, all these people in the room and he’s staring at you like you’re the first person he’s ever seen in his life. An idea washes over you suddenly. He’s rocking back and forth slightly on his heels. Just as he moves forward, you lift your hand and snap your fingers in front of his nose. He blinks immediately.
“Ha! You blinked!”
“That’s cheating!” He’s indignant, his Northern accent evident.
“It’s not cheating, I’m just preparing you!” You laugh as he shakes his head, running a hand through his hair.
“This is so unfair,” he rubs his dry eyes with the heel of his palm.
You pout sarcastically at him. “I’m so sorry, I hope someday you can forgive me.”
“It might take a while,” He wrinkles his nose at you, then is distracted by his phone lighting up i his pocket, “Oh, George is demanding I come back now.”
Your stomach falls slightly, “Yes, go back to your-”
“Gang?” he raises his eyebrows.
“-exactly.”
He touches your arm again, the skin tingles, “So sorry to leave you, I feel like that was probably the most worthless interview you’ve done all night-”
You laugh.
“Not like that it was bad, I just feel like I didn’t give you anything whatsoever.”
You place your hand over your heart, “Don’t worry, it was very impactful to me.”
“Ok, well that’s all that matters,” He’s inching away, lingering slightly, “Maybe we uh… maybe we can have a redo on your show.”
You hum agreement, “Now there’s an idea, Healy.”
“I have good ones sometimes.” He shrugs, thumbs in his pockets.
“I’ll have my people get in touch with your people,” You say, and before you can stop yourself, shoot him a pair of finger guns.
He’s almost turned away, but does a double take, laughing, “Did you just finger gun me?”
“Pretend that didn’t happen.”
“Sure. I’ll see you in there.”
He walks away, giggling still, looking over his shoulder at you. You retreat to the bathroom to call your roommate in hysterics.

“His majesty requests your presence, milady.”
“Tell him I will be in his chambers shortly.”
“In the banquet hall, milady, he requests your presence in the banquet hall.” Oh, it’s going to be like that tonight. She dismisses the page with a curt nod, finishing her ministrations, rich oils soaking into her skin beneath her shift. Tugging the heavy satin of her robe over her shoulders, she slips out of her bedchambers, candelabra in hand to light her way through the dim, drafty halls of the palace. It had taken much getting used to, the roaming expanse of his castle, the high-arched walls draped in lavish tapestries, threads woven of stories of his conquests. But it is the banquet hall that is the most extravagant room of the palace.
A table that could seat over two hundred guests, richly carved wood beneath the hazy glow of candlelight, glints and glimmers catching in the arcing, stained-glass windows. And at the head of the table, the throne, gilded and glittering, gemstones suspended in imposing gold and silver, spoils of his victories upon which he sits, slumped down, thighs spread wide, his head propped in his hand.
“What took you so long?” She pads silently across the room to him, clicking her tongue at his petulant question.
“Patience is a virtue, your highness, you would do well to remember it.” She steps between his legs, his hands immediately coming to her hips, fingers squeezing just a tad unkindly into the flesh.
“I have no use for patience, my wife, not when it comes to you.” His wife, his queen, the woman he sent for across many seas. The woman he loves. It’s true what they say, what King Joel desires, he is sure to get.
She brings a hand to his cheek, nails scratching lightly at his scruff as he gazes up at her, dripping devotion and dominion all at once. Her other palm rests on his chest, laid bare by his loose shirt, his regalia long discarded for the evening. She can feel the thrum of his heartbeat, and though his eyes are dark, power in the set of his jaw, she revels in her ability to make his pulse quicken.
“You called for me, and I am here. What is it you want, husband?” She can feel the vibration of the grumble he lets out, more of a growl really, as he pulls her closer by her hips.
“Something to eat.” His words crackle with his grin, and she can feel her own lips curling as she steps out of his hold, letting her robe fall from her shoulders. Her nipples harden in the cool draft of the room, the sheer material of her shift useless to the chill of the night, and his eyes darken at the sight. She knows how he wants her, and she is happy to give it to him, shifting back up onto the table, resting on her elbows as she draws her feet up to rest on the smooth wood, legs spread wide, her shift rucking up and bunching around her hips.
Exposed to him, she can’t help the tremble that skitters up her spine as he leans forward, the heat of his breath washing over her cunt.
And now, when the court has all left, dinner long over, the real feast can begin.

Love reading the Donnie fallen for a villain , would it be ok to request Yandere Leo falling for a villain ? Maybe their laugh at his joke and one liners ? I’m fine with HCs if that’s ok ? 🌺
I was working on another request but I hit a sudden block so I'll come back to it later. Anyway, if you read the request this is romantic
Time to feed the giraffes~ *grass confetti everywhere*
Tw: He's like super insecure in this but it's not explicitly stated, breaking in, maybe a tinsy weensy amount of manipulation at the end (I can't tell help)
Yandere Leo with Villain MC who laughs at his jokes Hcs
Another day, another attempt at trying not to be killed by your enemies. As per usual, Leo and his brothers are fighting crime.
While dodging the attacks thrown at him, he exclaims, "Someone really said tango of survival, am I right?!" Throwing in a comedic statement as a way to distract himself from his fear.
A few seconds later, a silent snort came from the enemy, seemingly amused by him.
Leo's brain shuts down for a moment, trying to process what occurred. Someone laughed at his joke? And a genuine one too?
Still stunned, he stands there and looks up at them, in a muddy daze. Unfortunately, he doesn't notice the series of attacks coming at him.
"Leo, look out!" Raph pounces on the blue schemed turtle, diving out of the way.
"They just laughed at my joke..." he pauses, finally regaining his focus, "They just laughed at my joke!" He grins, turning to the air to make a portal. He goes through the electric blue gateway, teleporting elsewhere.
"Only a New Jersian would do something as stupid as hosting a dinosaur magic show!" He arrives right beside the villain, his infamous smirk gleaming from the city's lights.
The villain, Y/n lets out a chuckle before destroying yet another building. A pleasing noise to Leo's nonexistent ears.
"Would you be saying that if I send you to New Jersey myself?" They yank his sword from his grasp and copy his actions, surprisingly making a portal underneath him. "Hahah, sure I- AHHH!" Leo yells in shock, the ground collapsing before him.
And before his siblings can confront the villain any longer, they disappear as well. Leaving the three to go rescue their 2nd eldest. "Someone who finds Leon's comedic drama appealing...I'm speechless." Donnie flatly comments, checking for Leo's tracker.
Meanwhile, in New Jersey, the blue turtle sighs in admiration. He knows they're a villain, but they appreciate his humor! They want to hear him!
And he would be damned if doesn't deliver more.
Within the next few months, with every encounter with the villain, he spews out jokes and comedy lines left and right. He wants to hear more laughs, he wants to see more smiles, and he wants to see more enjoyment.
He doesn't care if you're trying to destroy him, seeing you happy makes him feel more than alive.
Soon enough, he starts to plan his jokes. He does try to keep it relevant to the situation, but some of them can pass up as funny with or without context.
At night when he can't sleep, he silently recites all the lines you've laughed at before. Normally he wouldn't remember them word for word but with you, he does.
Progressing on, he tries to find your home/living space. Just so he can see you privately and give you your own stand-up comedy show. And when he does, all hell breaks loose.
He realizes with his teleportation ability he can visit you whenever he wants. So, he makes the best out of it. Any time his brothers aren't keeping him busy, he visits you or inspects your possessions to see what your interests are.
"Hm, I think I can make 5 new jokes out of this item here. They do seem to like it a lot."
If he finds anyone close to you, he's going to teleport them to an isolated place, a valley of nothingness. No one else will please you, and no one will make you laugh like he does.
He wants to entertain you. He wants to have you love him! He's never felt that his effort has been appreciated like this before!
So keeps your eyes on him, and let him be the star of the show.
——————————————————
He might be a little out of style from my usual version of Leo but I think it still makes sense.
- Celina

Daughter of the Sea
Chapter Twenty-Eight: Hold Fast (Read on Ao3 here)
I wandered around for a while, trying to make any sense of the conversation I had just had. But the more I thought about what Hestia had said, the more confused I felt. And the more angry I got. I had spent the last few weeks coming up with every possible way to take Percy’s place, made peace with the fact that dying was worth it if it meant I was saving him. But now I wasn’t sure.
In a way, hearing from Hestia affected me more than hearing from my father would have. I knew Poseidon had been watching over me my whole life, but it was Hestia who was protecting me day in and day out. It was Hestia who took up residence in the fireplace of our home and kept vigilant watch on me. Out of all the gods, she knew me the best. And hearing her say words I knew were true but I didn’t want to hear put me in a sour mood.
I eventually found myself on the archery range. It was empty, which was extremely odd. I had never seen it so quiet—Apollo had a lot of kids, and they were all talented archers. You could always count on someone practicing their gifts while the sun was still shining.
But not today. I guessed that a lot of the campers wanted to go back to their cabins or do something to take their mind off the funeral. I didn’t blame them.
I pulled out the throwing knives I always kept on my belt—four beautiful bronze blades with golden hilts that glinted in the light.
They had shown up on my doorstep last November with my name on the package, and Percy had been extremely jealous. I reminded him that he didn’t use throwing knives, but that didn’t seem to change his mind. The only thing accompanying the gift was a small piece of pristine white paper, no bigger than a business card, with a beautiful, golden and shimmering symbol of the sun on it, almost like the one in Tangled. I looked down the empty hallway, shrugged, and picked up the package. I waited a few days before opening them, just to make sure it wasn't some sort of trap, and found that they were perfectly balanced and fit in my hand exactly. I still hadn’t found out who sent them, but I had an inkling of an idea.
I still wasn’t fantastic at throwing knives—Percy and I were notoriously bad at ranged weapons—but I had gotten a lot better in the last year. I usually hit the target, and one out of every fifty or so times I would hit the bullseye. I considered that an impressive improvement.
Cady had insisted I train in the weapon in case my sword ever got knocked out of my hand, she said a demigod should never be caught defenseless. I didn’t need to worry about losing my weapon anymore, thanks to the gift from my dad, and even without a sword I had learned to wield my abilities enough to always be able to defend myself, but what started practical soon turned comforting. I usually gave up on anything that I wasn’t immediately good at, but I had decided to stick with this one, and it was nice to see my hard work was starting to pay off. It felt good to have something to work at, something I had to struggle in. Something I could see improvement in—it gave me a sense of control over my life. Which, as a demigod, didn’t come often.
I had just loosed my first knife when a rustling in the grass behind me made me whip around.
“Juniper!” I called when I saw the elfish face. “You’re lucky I didn't have that knife in my hand anymore.”
“I know!” she squeaked. “I’m sorry, Angie.” She stood up from where she was crouched in the grass. “I shouldn’t have been sneaking, but I need to talk to you.”
I gave her a curious look. Now that she was closer, I could see her eyes were tinged green—chlorophyll from crying, I told myself.
“Is this about Grover?” I tried to keep my voice gentle, but she let out a small sob at the mention of her boyfriend’s name.
“The naiads told me that you were going through Chiron’s reports this morning and there was a report from a protector in Canada and he mentioned Grover in it.” Her words came rushing out, getting closer to hyperventilating by the second.
No secrets here, I thought. Those naiads are the worst gossips.
“I did see a report, yes. It was talking about how—”
“Can you come with me, Angie?! I can’t be away from my tree for too long.” Even though she asked me a question, she didn’t wait for an answer. She grabbed my wrist and started dragging me towards the woods, and I gave up any hope I had of retrieving the golden knife stuck in the target.
She didn’t stop running until we had come to a small clearing near her tree. I could see Zeus’ Fist standing tall in the middle of it and the sight sent a shiver up my spine. It had been a full year since the Battle, a full year of tension and loss and war. The clearing was a reminder of my first few weeks at camp, and a reminder of how far I had come. But it was also a reminder of my failures.
“Now, what were you going to say about Grover?!” Juniper looked so hopeful, I didn’t know how to break the news to her.
“Well, the letter didn’t exactly say anything about him.”
“What?”
“It was from a protector, Gleeson Hedge, I think, asking for Grover’s help. It was addressed to him. I don’t know why it ended up here.”
“But—” Juniper looked like she was about to cry again when a voice startled both of us.
“Ah ha!” I turned to see an old, fat satyr waddling towards us with surprising speed. He had a smug look on his goatish face. “It is obvious he has run away from his duties, abandoned us all. Trust me, nymph, you are better without that traitor.”
Juniper’s green skin took on a red hue, and I wondered what it would look like for a tree nymph to fly off the handle. I didn’t know Grover well, I had only spent a little time with him last summer, but I knew he was Percy’s best friend. I knew he was brave, and funny, and was there for my brother when no one else was. In short, I knew I wasn’t going to put up with this old goat talking about him like that.
“That’s not true, umm, whoever you are.” I snapped at him.
“Whoever I am?!” He sounded utterly offended. “And just who are you?”
“This is Angie Jackson!” Juniper announced proudly. “Percy’s sister.”
The satyr’s nose crinkled. “Of course I should’ve guessed by her impertinence.”
If I knew what that word meant I was sure I would’ve been offended.
“Nice to meet you…”
“Leneus! Lord of the Wild and Member of the Council of Cloven Elders!”
I only caught about half of what he said.
“Oh, alright. Sounds important.”
He let out an aggrieved huff and stuck his nose in the air. “It is important, thank you—”
His sentence was cut off by a small boy in black jeans and an aviator's jacket appearing out of nowhere. Leneus let out a scream.
“Whoa, am I interrupting?” The pale boy looked more tired than I had ever seen him, and the sight of him made my stomach drop. On one hand I was glad that the conversation with the angry satyr had come to an end, but on the other, I knew what him being here meant. I knew what was about to begin.
“Hey, Nico.”
He gave me a small smile. “Hi, Angie. Nice to see you again. Know where Percy is?”
I had gotten used to that question in the last year. “No, sorry.”
“Will someone explain to me what's going on?” the satyr asked in the most annoying voice possible. Juniper ran and hid behind her tree.
“Sorry, there’s usually no one here.” Nico said in a sheepish voice. “I came to see Percy.”
The satyr let out a huff and rolled his eyes. “I have heard far too much about that upstart today.”
I was about to tell the old goat off when a large hellhound came bounding through the trees and barrelling into the clearing. I reached for my necklace instinctively and was about to pull on it when I saw the glimmering collar around her neck. My hand relaxed as Mrs. O’Leary ran up to Nico and began to lick his face excitedly—which is quite the sight when the dog's tongue is almost as big as the boy. The son of Hades broke into a wide smile, but Leneus and Juniper weren’t as pleased.
I was too busy laughing at the sight to see the boy jogging behind the hellhound, but when Nico perked up and nodded to someone behind me, I spun around. My heart beat a little faster when I saw who it was. He cracked a smile when he saw me, but his expression was immediately replaced with confusion. I understood why—he was walking into a strange quartet.
"Will someone—what is this underworld creature doing in my forest!" Leneus began shouting, waving his arms and trotting on his hooves as if the grass were hot. "You there, Percy Jackson! Is this your beast?"
"Sorry, Leneus," Percy said. I swore I could hear the faintest hint of laughter in his words. "That's your name, right?"
The satyr rolled his eyes. "Well, of course I'm Leneus. Don't tell me you've forgotten a member of the Council so quickly. Now, call off your beast!"
Mrs. O’Leary let out another bark, shaking the ground a bit. Nico had found a tickle spot right behind her ear.
The old satyr gulped. "Make it go away! Juniper, I will not help you under these circumstances!"
Juniper turned toward my brother. "Percy," she sniffled. "I was just asking about Grover. I know something's happened. He wouldn't stay gone this long if he wasn't in trouble. I was hoping that Leneus—"
"I told you!" the satyr protested. "You are better off without that traitor."
Juniper stamped her foot. "He is not a traitor! He's the bravest satyr ever, and I want to know where he is!"
Percy had just opened his mouth, probably in protest, when the hellhound barked again. Leneus’ knees started knocking. "I . . . I won't answer questions with this hellhound sniffing my tail!"
Nico looked like he was trying to not crack up. "We'll walk the dog,” he volunteered, “Won’t we, Angie?" He turned towards me with an expression that told me he wasn’t asking. I pushed away the feeling of cold dread that crept up my spine whenever I was around him.
“Umm, sure!” Percy looked uneasy as he shot me a cautious glance. I nodded at him, and he looked back to Juniper. Percy and I were getting better at communicating without words, twin stuff, I guessed, and I knew what he was trying to tell me—be on your guard. It’s not that we didn’t trust Nico…but as children of Poseidon, we had to be a little more careful around the other kids of the Big Three. Especially since Hades didn’t like Percy all that much.
He whistled, and Mrs. O’Leary took off like a shot to the other end of the grove. Nico raced after her, and I took that as my cue to follow.
When we finally caught up to the hellhound, she was sniffing around some boulders the way she did when she was about to, uh, relieve herself, so Nico and I gave her plenty of space.
“You’re nervous about what comes next.” Nico spoke, his voice grim. It wasn’t a question.
“Yeah.” I couldn’t meet his eyes.
“It’s the only way, Angie. The only way Percy has a chance against Luke.”
I knew he was right. But that didn’t stop me from hoping. “What if there is another way? Maybe there’s something that I can do—”
“Angie, how many times do we have to go over this?”
I snapped my head towards him, desperation filling my eyes. “Everyone keeps telling me the same thing! But I won’t give up on him! Not until—” my voice broke and I took in a sharp breath. “Not until I can’t fight anymore.”
Nico’s eyes softened, and he looked more sad than usual. Which was saying something. “I understand wanting to hold on to him. Trust me, I do. but you have to let go. You have to believe when people tell you this is his fight. The things that are coming…” he got a faraway look in his eye, like he was looking through me into a scary future. “We’ll need you.” He focused on me again.
Nico was always saying strange things. Being a child of the underworld, he spent most of his time underground, talking to ghosts. And ghosts could see more than livings could, sometimes even into the future. Nico always knew more than other demigods, but he had learned quickly that most of the time, those things were for him alone. It was almost impossible to get information out of him.
“Everyone keeps saying that, too. But it doesn’t make me feel better.”
Nico cracked a small smile, and I noticed the way it made his dark eyes shine. When he didn’t have a permanent scowl on his face, he actually looked pretty kind. “I know. But give it time—sometimes the only way to understand something is by going through it.”
I considered the small boy, and decided he was much too wise for a twelve year old.
Mrs. O’Leary, finished with her business, bounded up to us and nearly knocked me over. We pet her for a little bit before Nico turned his head in a curious way before announcing, “Let’s head back.”
I didn’t question him.
We reached the clearing in time to hear my brother say, “I've got worse enemies than overweight satyrs."
"Good job, Percy.” Nico said as he walked up to him and Juniper. “Judging from the trail of goat pellets, I'd say you shook him up pretty well."
Percy gave him a weak smile, and I could tell he knew why the son of hades had come calling. "Welcome back. Did you come by just to see Juniper?"
Nico blushed. "Um, no. That was an accident. I kind of…dropped into the middle of their conversation."
"He scared us to death!" Juniper said. "Right out of the shadows. I heard that Angie got a note about Grover when she was going through Chiron’s reports, but it didn’t say anything helpful.” She sounded so dejected, but immediately perked back up. “But, Nico, you are the son of Hades and all. Are you sure you haven't heard anything about Grover?"
Nico shifted his weight. "Juniper, like I tried to tell you…even if Grover died, he would reincarnate into something else in nature. I can't sense things like that, only mortal souls."
"But if you do hear anything?" she pleaded, putting her hand on his arm. "Anything at all?"
Nico's cheeks got even brighter red. "Uh, you bet. I'll keep my ears open."
She nodded glumly. "I hate not being able to leave the forest. He could be anywhere, and I'm stuck here waiting. Oh, if that silly goat has gotten himself hurt—"
Mrs. O'Leary bounded back over and took an interest in Juniper's dress.
Juniper yelped. "Oh, no you don't! I know about dogs and trees. I'm gone!"
She went poof into green mist. Mrs. O'Leary looked disappointed, but she lumbered off to find another target, leaving Nico, me, and Percy alone. The atmosphere immediately shifted into something tense and dark. My brother turned to face me, putting a hand on my shoulder.
“I think I need to talk to Nico alone for a bit. Stay here?”
I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. “Yeah, okay. Just…just don’t leave without saying goodbye.”
His eyes got sad. “I won’t.” He ruffled my hair a bit, and this time, I let him. Nico gave me a small smile, his face still a shade of red, before the two boys turned and walked deeper into the woods.
I sat in a small meadow that was on the edge of the clearing we had been standing in, passing the time making and unmaking small flower crowns. Katie Gardener had taught me how to make them, although mine were never as good as hers were. I knew I should be doing something more productive, like practicing my throwing knives, running sword drills, or even working on strengthening my abilities, but I couldn’t make myself do any of that. It all felt too heavy. Just as I was about to get up and walk back into camp, assuming Percy had forgotten about me, he came running back into the clearing.
“Angie?”
I made my way over to him quickly. “Are you leaving?”
I could tell by the look in his eyes that the answer was yes.
“It’s time.” He didn’t have to say more.
I threw my arms around his neck and didn’t try to stop my tears from soaking the shoulder of his orange Tshirt. He held me close, smoothing my hair and whispering some comforting words that I wasn’t paying attention to. Before long, he pulled away. His eyes were red and wet.
“Don’t go.”
I knew it was selfish of me to say. I knew it wasn’t fair. I knew he didn’t want to be anyone’s martyr just as much as I didn’t want him to die. He didn’t ask for any of this—and he didn’t need any more reminders of how close to the end he was.
“I have to, Angie.” Percy sounded exhausted. Now, just the two of us, he let his shoulders slump and there wasn’t a trace of a smile on his face.
“You know It’s the only way to stand a chance against Luke. If he’s invincible, then I have to be, too.” He continued. “We’re no match for the Titan army. You know that. This comes down to me and Kronos.” The words sounded like they were coming from someone else, his eyes faraway and distant. I recognized them as the ones Nico had told him, almost a year ago.
“But it’s not fair!” I sounded like a petulant child, but I didn’t care. “It’s not fair that it has to be you.”
Percy sighed like he was disappointed I was only now figuring this out. “It’s not.” He admitted. “But the life of a demigod isn’t fair. Especially for a child of the Big Three. It’s…it’s just our fate.”
He tried to tuck a stray piece of hair behind my ear, but I flinched away from him.
“But I don’t want to lose you! I can’t lose you! I don’t know how to—” the words caught in my throat, a sob taking their place. I dissolved into tears, and before I knew it, Percy’s arms were around me. I didn’t try to fight him.
“Can I tell you a story?”
It was such a strange thing to say that it caught me completely off guard.
“What?” My voice cracked.
“A story my mom, our mom, told me when I was very small.” He began. “And one I’m sure she would’ve told you. It’s the reason why she named me Perseus in the first place.”
“Because he was a hero?”
Percy chuckled. “That’s what I thought at first, too. But no. Because, against all odds, he is one of the few heroes who managed to find his way to a happy ending.” I thought about that for a moment. His happy ending was living a life with the person he loved, Andromeda. I wished that could be true for Percy and me, but the thought felt too far away to reach.
“When he was a very little boy,” Percy continued, “he and his mother were placed into a wooden chest and cast out into the sea by a very angry king. Alone. Afraid. And at night, his mother would whisper in his ear: ‘Hold fast, Perseus. Brave the storm that was made to break us, for we are unbreakable. As long as we have each other.’”
Percy whispered as he smoothed my hair. My breathing began to steady.
“As long as we have each other.” I echoed. “Don’t go where I can’t follow.”
Percy chuckled, probably remembering the time I forced him to watch all of the Lord of the Rings movies this past year. I had always loved that quote, and after he heard it, it had become our mantra.
“You’re such a nerd.” There was a smile in his voice. A comfortable silence fell over us as we held onto each other, not knowing when either of us would get to hug our sibling again. When he spoke again, his voice was low and gentle, but very sure.
“So…hold fast, Angie. That’s what mom said to me when I first came to Camp, when I was figuring all this out. Hold fast. Brave the storm.”
“Hold fast.” I echoed, wanting the words he was saying to sink into my heart and find a permanent place there.
I had only known Percy for about a year, but in that time, he had become a part of my soul. The thought of losing him tore me apart. Every fiber in my being was screaming at me to hold onto him forever, to never let go. I wanted to beg him to take me with him, plead to take his place.
But I knew it was no use. In that moment, I knew I wasn’t strong enough. But Percy was.
And more than that, I knew Percy would never let me. This was a journey he had to take on his own, and I would just have to find some other time to save him further down the road.
I let go of him and looked into his sparkling eyes, identical to mine.
“You can do this.” I put all the power I had into my words. “I’ve never believed in anyone more than I believe in you.”
He managed a smile. “I’ll see you again.”
“I know you will. We are unbreakable, as long as we have each other.”
I swore I saw tears begin to pool in his eyes, but I didn’t say anything. He pulled me into another hug, tight and quick, before letting go and messing up my hair. And this time, just this once, I let him.
Then he turned and disappeared into the darkness, only stopping to look back once.

☾ Author's note ➼ Hey guys! Here's part 3, as promised!! I'm going to take a very small break from this so I can get started on my summer requests but I'll be back soon with what I believe is the best plot line yet. I'm really excited for y'all to see it, as it's like nothing I've ever written before. See y'all with part 4!!
☾ Word Count ➼ ~5.9k
In the past, Levi never found himself in situations like the ones he found himself in lately. Before you landed in his café so many months ago, life was simple. Work, home, sleep for a couple of hours, rinse and repeat. He didn’t mind the repetition. Then you came in and painted his life with every color imaginable – everything seemed so overwhelming. But you would never find him upset about it.
Levi watches you by the kitchen island as you twirl in front of Hange to show off the new dress you had bought from the shopping trip you had earlier in the day. It hugs your curves perfectly. The front is quite modest, probably a personal preference of yours. But the back – Levi averts his gaze from the searing heat pooling into his stomach. His eyes don’t stay away for long, however. How could they?
The open back of your floral patterned, thinly strapped dress ends right above your ass, falling loosely down to the middle of your thighs. You had gotten so much sun yesterday that the lines left behind from your bathing suit cut across your soft skin. That damned bathing suit. It was extremely unfair of you to look like that.
Levi clenches his phone in tight fingers as he forces himself to look away and out the window to the early evening. Clouds so fluffy that they looked drawn on float by gently. The weather has been great all day, and he imagines it will only stay this way for the rest of the night. Was this an omen for something?
“That tour sure was something.” Erwin says as he ambles up to the counter. Levi hums in agreement, only half paying attention to Erwin’s continuous rambles about what you all had seen today at Liberio’s local history and cultural museum.
Most of the displays were about a war that happened a long time ago. He already knew a bit, considering the war in question was with Paradis, the island you are all from. Levi didn’t care too much about history, though.
He spent the entire time watching your reactions from afar, inwardly chuckling to himself at your ridiculous behavior. Wide eyes and toothy grin as you went through the whole thing in child-like wonder. Levi’s eyes cut over to your standing figure in the doorway as you chat with your sister.
If there was anything in that museum that needed to be protected at all costs, it was you.
Something tugs at Levi’s sleeve, breaking him out of his thoughts. It’s you, getting his attention to warn him that you were all ready to leave. He nods and slides his phone into his back pocket before following you to the elevator, your sweet perfumes wafting back and tickling his nose.
Liberio’s town square wasn’t very far. The moment you had all stepped out into the humid evening air, Levi’s eyes were immediately blasted with bright streamers and other various multi-colored decorations. The street is fairly crowded as well, and only got worse the closer you all got to the main square.
The scents of assorted cooked foods blew in the breeze, and even Levi couldn’t deny how wonderful they all smelled. He watches as your nose picks up on it as well, and the way you look back at him to check if you were still there makes him want to whisk you away and kiss you right then and there. Levi shakes his head to get that visual out and regrets it immediately.
You were still looking at him when he did that, and your smile fades. You face forward again, focusing on where you were going. Levi groans to himself, mentally punching himself. Did you think he was disapproving of you? It was only the thought of kissing you that he didn’t agree with.
Lies. His brain says.
Fuck off. Levi retorts back.
When you all got to the square, it was much more crowded than the town locals had warned about earlier. The music increased in volume tenfold, and from the looks of it, it’s coming from a DJ booth that sits in front of the town hall. There isn’t a designated dancing area that Levi could tell, considering everyone around him was dancing to the greatest top hits of the summer.-
Someone bumps into you and subsequently right into Levi since he's right behind you. He grabs onto your shoulders to steady you as he shoots daggers at the person that almost knocked you over.
“Are you okay?” Levi’s breath tickles your neck since you’re still pressed up against him from the dense crowd. Instead of responding, he feels your fingers find his hand and closes around it. You squeeze twice. He takes that as an okay because you continue on, but your fingers never let go. And he doesn’t pull away either.
It’s a good thing that you had a grip on him because it wasn’t much longer until Hange and Erwin disappeared from Levi’s sights. What else is new?
The crowd thickens as time goes on. Levi lets you lead, mainly because he doesn’t have the space to be able to pull forward. It became increasingly clear to him early on that you had no idea where you were going. He makes no move to stop you, though.
Levi’s hand tightens on yours and you squeeze back. It’s reassuring, something he wasn’t prepared to feel from such a small action. Whether it was from knowing you were still with him or because it was you to begin with. Abruptly, you stop in your tracks and Levi smacks into the back of you, almost knocking you forward.
“Hey, what…” Levi trails off as he follows your eyes to the spectacle in front.
A burst of heat slams into Levi’s face making him flinch. Blinking a few times, he spots a man dancing with a torch in one hand and a bottle of clear liquid in the other. Someone is off to the side, hand drumming a beat and leading the dancing man. After a few seconds, he does a back flip and then spits out some of the clear liquid he must have had in his mouth up into the sky and sticks the torch in it, creating a fiery plume above his head.
Levi’s eyes flicker over to yours, which sit wide in fear. It shames him to admit that it took him too long to understand why.
Levi squeezes your hand, only now realizing how hard they’re trembling. You don’t squeeze back. He tugs on it, probably a little rougher than he meant to. Your body sways from the sudden jerk, but you still make no effort to move your legs.
“Let’s go sit. Maybe the idiots will find us.” Levi says decisively before interlacing his fingers in yours and dragging you away and back into the crowd, you clumsily following behind.
Eventually, Levi finds solace at a fountain tucked away down the road that is significantly less crowded. He leads you over to it and sits you down gently, noting how glassy your eyes were. You hadn’t moved much since then, which Levi attributed to the possible shock at the sudden flames being thrown in your face.
It had been quite a few months since you were introduced into Levi’s life, but even still, you weren’t very forthcoming about how bad the trauma from that night so many years ago was for you. He’s made assumptions, sure. But there was never a good time to bring it up, and truth be told, he hoped you would talk to him when you were ready.
If you didn’t wish to talk about it, he would offer company instead. He understood that you didn’t need to say anything now, and Levi would wait for as long as he needed to.
“Hey.” Your glazed eyes shift from the couple slow dancing a few yards away and up to Levi’s slate gray eyes. The cool evening air blows past, blowing a few strands across your face as you try to focus on Levi.
“We can take as long as you need.” He mutters over to you. You stare over at him and blink a few times. Your lips pull back into a grateful smile, and nod.
You both sit for a while, watching the people who are currently enjoying the evening festivities. A group of kids run by, all with ice cream cones, followed by a very disheveled blonde teen who looks torn between having fun and wishing he was home.
In addition to the soft music weaving through the buildings, the rushing of water from behind offers a sense of peace that Levi hasn’t felt in a while. Was it the fountain though, or was it you? Levi glances over to find you watching him intently. It makes his stomach do flips.
“Are you getting hungry?” Levi raises an eyebrow at you.
‘I think so. Are you?’ You sit back on the concrete fountain lip you both were currently resting on. Levi could tell you were doing your best to keep yourself present, which meant a distraction is well needed.
“Let’s go get you something.” With that, Levi slides off the wall and offers you a hand. You grab it with no hesitation, smiling up at him as he pulls you off the side and a few inches away from his face.
There’s a moment where Levi pauses, glancing down to your lips that currently still curve into a soft smile. Blinking a few times, he takes a step back and mumbles an apology. He turns on his heel and leads you over to the multiple food stalls lining the sides of the closed off road, his fingers intertwining in yours to not lose you.
“What kind of food are you thinking of?” Levi semi-shouts over the chatter around you, his eyes scanning around the options then over to you. You stand, hip cocked to the side as you tap your chin with a finger in thought. Your lips jut out as you contemplate. Eventually, your gaze lands on a stall selling something called ‘pizza cones’. You point to that one, and look over to Levi with wide eyes. How could he ever say no to that face.
Levi internally groans when he gets closer, however. The line is a little long, but that’s not what makes his skin crawl. There’s only a few people ahead and Levi watches as the vendor hands a girl no older than 10 a cheesy cone. She takes a huge bite out of it before fanning her mouth from the heat, food still stuffed in her mouth. Cheese and red sauce slip out the corners of her wide smile, looking up at a familiar blonde teenager who returns a booming laugh. These were the messiest things Levi’s ever seen.
“Reiner, you have to try this!” She shouts, barely containing her glee. The boy who she referred to as Reiner glances over to you and Levi standing behind them and offers a small apology.
“I will Gabi, but we need to let these nice people have their turn now. Let’s go find Falco and the others so you can gush about it with them, yeah?” He pats her head and places a hand on her shoulders before turning her around and marching her off. Reiner turns and mouths another apology before getting lost in the crowd.
“What can I get you two?” A man leans out of the window as he eyes you and Levi. He has a black handlebar mustache that curls out at the ends and a sweaty, bald head. He smiles down at the pair of you with warmth.
Levi looks over to you as you squint your eyes at the menu hanging up by the window. Your teeth bite into your bottom lip as you focus, eyes glued to the blackboard. After a couple seconds, your eyes flicker over to Levi and puff your cheeks out.
‘What are you getting?’
“I’m not that hungry. What are you getting?” Levi crosses his arms across his chest as he waits for you. You scrunch your nose as you try to decide, which was not easy to do. His stomach flips as he watches you think.
‘I guess I’ll take a pepperoni one. With extra cheese!’ You sign excitedly.
Levi easily translates for the man and before you can dig for your wallet in the little bag strapped across your body, he whips out a few bills and hands them over. You shoot him a glare, hand still in your bag.
“Too slow.” A smirk plays on his lips as he glances over to you. You reach over and pinch his earlobe with your tongue sticking out at him. He swats at you with one hand as he reaches over and grabs the cone you had ordered from the vendor’s outstretched arm in the other, saying thanks as he does. Levi hands it over to you, and you return a grateful smile despite your annoyance from him paying. Then he points in a direction with his head and walks off, you practically skipping on his heels.
Levi doesn’t stop until he finds a fairly clear spot, landing you both where the carnival games just start on the street. Unfortunately, there isn’t anywhere to sit. Instead, he leans against a brick wall facing the crowd, arms across his chest as he watches you back into the wall as well.
You are much more delicate with this absurd delicacy in your hand compared to that child earlier, opting to use a plastic fork you had grabbed before leaving the stall. You look up to see him watching you with those stormy grey eyes of his. You’re caught off guard by the intense stare that the contents on your fork slip off and splatter back into the doughy cone. Levi huffs under his breath in amusement as he continues to eye you.
He never thought he would get this comfortable around anyone. But you weren’t just anyone anymore, were you? You were that little girl he sought to protect those many years ago. And now you’re the woman he wouldn’t mind standing next to for as long as he was able to. Levi’s thoughts falter at the sudden revelation.
When did this happen? There’s a nagging in the back of his head telling him that he’s always felt like that. What would you think if you found him out? Would you want that? Him?
You mouth a ‘what’ to him, not able to converse clearly with both hands occupied.
“You’re a mess.” Levi retorts back dryly.
Gingerly, Levi leans over with a napkin pinched in between two fingers, his eyes fixated on something above your lip. He gently wipes at it with the papery napkin, your eyes never leaving his face. You stand, frozen, which makes things easier for Levi. After a moment, he pulls away to inspect his work. His eyes scan your face to make sure, but in truth, he just liked looking at you and he wanted any excuse to do so. He folds the napkin up once he’s satisfied and leans back against the brick building as if nothing happened. His stomach, however, does somersaults.
“Um, excuse me.” A shaky voice pipes up from in front. You and Levi turn to the source at the same time and are met with the sight of an older woman, maybe in her 70s, with a thin piece of what looks to be paper pinched between two fingers. She has a gentle smile gracing her features, her crows feet surrounding her sparkling hazel eyes. A polaroid camera hangs from her neck.
“I’m really sorry to intrude, and I hope this doesn’t come off as weird. But I snapped this photo of you two from afar, and I thought you two might like it.” She pushes her hand with the piece of paper forward to Levi, and he takes it carefully. His slightly annoyed expression turns into surprise.
It’s not just a piece of paper - it’s a developed photo. And in the film is a picture of you staring at Levi as he leans in, napkin in hand. It’s not the snapshot itself that flusters him, nor the fact that this random stranger had even taken an unsolicited photo of you both. It was the look that you were giving Levi, forever immortalized in this small frame.
“You two are very adorable. How long have you been together?” She smiles unknowingly.
Levi glances back up to the woman and stutters in denial at the same time that you wave your hands in front of your body in a declining manner. She raises her eyebrows in surprise.
“Oh, dear me. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to assume. You two just fit well together.” She reaches over and pats your shell-shocked face right on the cheek. She stares into your eyes and then gives a subtle nod. Looking over to Levi, she smiles sweetly.
“You keep that photo for memories, will you?” She reaches over and pats Levi on the chest before turning on her heels and walking off into the crowd.
You pluck the picture out of Levi’s hand and pull it up close to your face. Levi watches as your eyes widen at the glossy film. Carefully, you open your bag and slide it in for safekeeping. As if nothing happened, you go back to eating your meal, ignoring the red-hot blood pooling into your cheeks.
.
The topic of the photo lies forgotten, or maybe it was intentionally ignored. Levi wonders what you might be thinking – did you see the same thing he saw? Maybe there wasn’t anything to see and his brain is playing tricks on him. He decides to go with that and pushes it far back in his mind.
You had finished your food relatively quickly, offering bites to Levi as you went on. He, of course, declined. He was having enough fun watching you enjoy your food in peace. Once you had discarded all the trash, you look over to Levi with a raised eyebrow, as if to say, ‘where to?’
“Let’s go find Hange and Erwin. There’s no telling what those idiots have gotten themselves into.”
For some reason, you decide to helm the expedition again and choose to go through the street full of carnival games. Levi supposes that’s not too far off for his friends knowing who they are as people. However, the more he watches your attention jump from booth to booth, he realizes you were more curious about your surroundings than interested in finding the rest of the group. He didn’t mind if it meant watching your face gawk at everything, though.
Levi is in the middle of staring at some people failing miserably at an airsoft game when he feels your fingers tug at his shirt sleeve to get his attention. He looks over to see you smiling at him excitedly and pointing to a high striker game off to the side.
There are already a few people surrounding it, watching a small woman ready the big hammer in her hands. Her blonde hair is pulled up into clip and a bored expression plasters her face, as if this is nothing for her. She shifts her weight, takes a deep breath, and swings the large hammer over her head and right down onto the lever marked with a red X.
The bell at the top rings out, followed by the loud cheers of the friends around her. She just shrugs and leans the hammer back against the base.
“I told you Bertoldt,” A brown-haired girl wraps her arm around the blonde girl’s shoulders as she smiles widely. “Annie kicks all kinds of ass. Bet you couldn’t even get it halfway.” She taunts. The tall brunette man next to them sighs.
“I’m not doing it, Hitch.”
“Is it because you’re scared of looking like a fool?” The woman named Hitch shoots him a smirk, leaning against the blonde.
“Excuse me miss, what kind of pr-“
“I’m good.” Annie cuts the vendor off and starts off in the opposite direction and says as she walks, “I did the thing, now let’s go find Reiner. I’m sure he’s tired of babysitting all of those kids.” The other two bicker behind her as they follow.
Levi feels his shirt being tugged again, this time in the direction of the game. You don’t stop until you’re right in front of the stand, letting go of Levi and reaching into your purse for a couple dollars.
“Giving it a try?” Levi asks. After handing the vendor a few dollars, you turn around to Levi and smile.
‘Obviously.’ You reach over to grab the hammer. Levi’s concern only bubbles up for a moment after watching you struggle to bring it over your shoulder. It dissipates as quickly as he sees the look of determination wash over your face. Your constant tenacity continues to surprise him, though he knows it shouldn’t. This is just who you are.
He watches as you take a stance like the girl that was here before, legs wide and shoulders rolled back. Taking a deep breath, you swing from behind and the hammer arcs over your head before smashing down with a heavy slam. There's a tongue-click of disappointment as the puck rises just right below the bell. When you turn to face Levi, he sees your cheeks puffed out.
“If your goal wasn’t to hit the bell, that was pretty good.” Levi muses. He’s met with a glare and pout. He raises his hands in feign defense and asks, “Do you want some help?”
‘Don’t even think about it. I can do better.’ Levi huffs in amusement and nods. It’s that damned tenacity again. Without saying another word, he reaches into his wallet and digs out a few more dollars before handing it off to the vendor. You offer him a wide smile and turn back around to the game.
You take a moment to steady yourself, squeezing the handle with both hands as you stare at the cherry red bell at the top of the 6-foot tower. Again, you widen your stance, roll your shoulders back. Deep breath, a swing, and a hit. The area rings out with a loud metallic clang as the puck hits the bell dead on.
In an instant, the hammer is on the ground and your arms are wrapping around Levi in a tight hug. It’s brief but Levi sighs in the scent of your delicious shampoo and revels in the feeling of your body against his. When you pull away, your eyes are as wide as your smile.
‘Did you see that?! I did it!’ Your body is practically vibrating in excitement at your achievement.
“Good job, I knew you could.” Levi rolls his eyes again, only to keep himself from staring at the way your lips pull back into that beautiful smile of yours.
“Nicely done, miss!” The vendor smiles brightly over to you. “Go ahead and pick something off the wall!” He flourishes his hand in front of a wall filled with various stuffed animals and multicolored objects. You press your hands against the counter of the booth and lean forward on them as you stare at your options. Glancing over, you purse your lips and stare at Levi.
“What?” Levi raises an eyebrow.
‘Which one do I want?’
“Shouldn’t you know that better than me?”
‘I’m unsure. Will you choose for me?’ You give him a small smile as you sit back on the balls of your feet.
“And why would I do that?” Levi crosses his arms and stares at you, eyebrows knit.
‘Technically, you paid for the winning hit.’ You shrug your shoulders.
“It’s not my prize, though.” He grumbles, rolling his eyes. You’re really good at making him do that.
‘Please, Levi? Pick one for me?’
“Fine, but you can’t be mad at me if you don’t like it.” Levi frowns a bit as he stares up at the wall. There are so many choices, he’s not sure how he could even pick something properly. Until his sights land on something tucked behind another creature that makes him chuckle. Levi looks over to you and says your name.
“Close your eyes.” He orders. A smile trembles on your lips and you pinch them tight as you do as you’re asked.
“That one please, sir.” Levi points over to it. The vendor smiles kindly over to him then reaches up with a claw extender to pull it down. When it’s in Levi’s hands, he squeezes it gently; It’s soft and big enough to be a pillow.
“Okay, you can open them now.”
The look of pure joy that paints your face is something that will stay in Levi’s mind forever. The way your smile lights up every facet, eyes sparkling just as bright.
‘A strawberry!’ A small laugh escapes as you grab it from Levi’s hands and hold it out to inspect it closely. It’s a simple design. Brilliant red pocked with little white spots and topped with green leaves. It was simple, but it already meant more to you than Levi would ever know.
You hold the plush close to your chest and lean over to kiss him on the cheek. Levi blinks hard and stares at you in surprise, reeling at the tingling left behind where you had pressed your lips against his skin. He opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. Levi struggles to process what just happened, but you don’t give him a chance to do so as you hum and turn around on your heels before walking off.
.
You and Levi wander around the miscellaneous stalls selling various trinkets in hopes of finding Erwin and Hange. They were still nowhere to be found, but at least you were having a good time walking about. When it felt like you both had done two rounds around the block, Levi found a table off to the side of the main plaza. The DJ is still in full swing, offering music to the dancing patrons that twirl by.
Half an hour later, leaning against the table propped up on one arm, Levi is tempted to just say ‘fuck it’ and head back to the condo for the night until a young man comes up to where you’re sitting and offers a hand.
“Pardon me, miss. I can’t help but notice you sitting here and would like to offer a dance.” He says in a soft voice.
You look up at him with surprise. For a moment, Levi’s worried you’ll say yes out of sudden pressure, but much to his satisfaction, you shake your head ‘no’ with a polite smile. He would never admit how pleased he was to see the smile fall off the poor man’s face at your denial.
“You’re so beautiful, though. Why don’t you come with me? How can you sit here alone?” His voice drips with desperation.
“She’s not alone.” Levi grumbles over to him, unable to keep the hostility out of his voice.
“And who might you be?” The stranger retracts his hand and stares over at Levi with indignation.
“Her dance partner, so leave.” Your eyes snap over to Levi at that comment. Levi doesn’t give off a single emotion as he stares coldly at the harasser. The man walks off, muttering under his breath about rude tourists.
Suddenly, you’re on your feet and in front of Levi, holding your hand out to him. Levi narrows his eyes to your hand and then to your cheeky smile. You have your stuffed strawberry tucked under the other arm that sits at your side.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
‘I’m asking you to dance, partner.’ You wiggle your fingers at him.
“Tch, like hell.”
‘Then I guess I’ll go find that oth-‘ Levi grabs your hand quickly, his fingers folding over your palm.
“Don’t even think about it.” This makes your shoulders bounce in laughter, and you pull him up as best you can. He stumbles a bit, wincing at his sore leg.
‘Just one dance.’ The music changes to something slow as you say that. The dancing crowd disperses, leaving room for those staying to slow dance.
“Fine.” Levi nods hesitantly.
Oh, how he loved your smiles. The way they brightened everything around you. Levi grabs the strawberry out from under your arm and places it on the table you were both just sitting at. You open your mouth to object, but he cuts you off.
“We’ll stay here. Unfortunately, three do not work well for dancing.” And like that, he pulls you in close. His hand wraps around you and settles on the small of your back where the skin just ends, sending goosebumps down your arms and legs. He takes the hand he is holding and places it behind his neck. You follow with your other arm, properly wrapping both arms around him.
Levi feels heat scorching into his cheeks as you both sway to the jazzy tune that floats through the air. He never saw himself as someone who would dance, especially slowly and even more so in front of the public eye. But here he was, with you in his arms. And he didn’t hate it as much as he thought he would.
He looks down into your eyes as he rocks back and forth with you in place. As always, he’s drawn to the depth of your eyes and the way they shine in the flickering lanterns littering around the decorated space. He still couldn’t understand why you watched him the way you did, but he couldn’t get enough of it.
Someone bumps into your back, pushing you flush up against Levi’s chest as they pass. You hear a soft apology from behind and then they’re gone. When you try to pull away, you’re met with resistance from Levi’s arms as he holds you closer.
“You’re fine.” He mumbles to you.
Levi feels your head lower onto his shoulder, your cheek pressed against the soft cloth, as the two of you continue to rock in place. He holds you close even when the song eventually ends. Before he realizes it, one song had turned to many.
.
You were fairly certain that your sister and Erwin weren’t coming back, and you find yourself not really caring that much. The time spent with Levi was more than you could have asked for. But as most things always do, it came to an end. You couldn’t blame Levi for suggesting to head back to the condo, though. With his more than subtle limp and your burning, tired eyes, you both agree quickly to leave the overwhelmingly crowded streets for the solace of a quiet space.
The moment the elevator doors slammed shut, the atmosphere between you and Levi shifts instantly. Thinking back on it, you would say some of it was your fault. The way you eyed Levi as he leaned across to press the code. How now in this enclosed space, his intoxicating scent filled every corner. You were alone with him for once, with no one around to watch. Were the events from tonight fogging your mind?
You grip Levi’s sleeve in tight fingers, and as always, he looks over to you in concern. You only do this to get his attention, though why he always looks at you like something is wrong is beyond you. But maybe he should think that, because there was something terribly wrong.
“Yeah?” He mutters over to you, sharp gray eyes staring into your own.
You can’t hear anything but the pulse pounding in your ears. If you could, you would have heard how your breath hitched and the breathy way Levi said your name. If you were paying attention to anything other than the way his gaze softened, you would have noticed it was you grabbing his shirt collar and pulling him into you. If you had any thoughts past the way his beautifully marred lips looked right now, you would have noticed that your lips were already pressing onto them.
You’ve always been a hopeless romantic. You’ve read all the books, watched all the rom-coms, laughed at the insinuation that there would be sparks or even something burning in your chest when you kiss someone special to you. Nothing prepares you for the way you feel right now.
Fluttering your eyes closed, you melt. You tangle your fingers into his soft t-shirt and hold him close, feeling his body heat emanating through the cloth. Levi’s rough hand cups your jaw and tilts your head, pulling you more into the kiss. There’s a hunger behind his movements and a fleeting thought of him devouring you whole flies through your mind. You wouldn’t mind, not if it was Levi.
His hands find their way down to your hips and squeezes, his fingertips finding purchase and digging into your flesh. Heat flows through your whole body like explosive static. The tip of his tongue teases the entrance of your mouth, as if asking for permission. In an answer to Levi, you moan softly into his mouth. You were unprepared for how touch starved you were, and something tells you Levi could notice. Perhaps he was the same.
As if struck by lightning, Levi pulls away quickly as he inhales sharply for air. Your chest rises and falls as you do your best to catch your breath as well. He stares at you, eyes wide in shock at what just happened.
Levi says your name again, softly. Perplexed. Confused.
You’re suddenly aware of what you and Levi just did. A dam bursts in you and you can’t placate the emotions you seem to be cycling through right now. You lift a finger up to your bottom lip, still feeling the pressure of his lips on yours. Still tasting Levi on your tongue. Oh god, why did you do that?
Ding!
You press your stuffed plush against your chest and push past him into the condo. You beeline it to your bedroom, closing the door behind you and sliding against it until you are sitting on the floor. Burying your face into the soft fabric of the strawberry, you take a deep breath and try to focus on the emotions at the forefront of your mind.
There’s the obvious giddiness that dances through, then the elation and the excitement. But then comes guilt, fear, and mourning for the friendship you and Levi had up until you ruined it with your own impulsive self. You shouldn’t have kissed him, but you did. And you wanted to. And you liked it. But the hot tears that threatened to overspill from your eyes tells a different story.
Moonlight filters in through the sheer curtains, creating shadows on the floor next to you. You hear a door shut out in the living space, the click reverberating off the empty walls. You tell yourself after three deep breaths to get up and get ready for bed. It takes you more than ten, but eventually you find yourself in pajamas and lying on your side facing away from the windows.
Sleep does not come easily to you. You’re awake when Hange comes stumbling into the bedroom singing a song about bumblebees. You’re awake while pretending to be asleep so you don’t have to answer Hange’s incessant comments and questions as they get ready for bed. And you’re even awake when the walls start lighting up with blue hues from the oncoming sunrise.
