I'm re-watching Norton's live action movie thing

and I still find it SO interesting that this is how they choose to start it

him as a kid running towards the light out of the cave only for him to fall and the lantern break and the fire within spreading everywhere ;;

This can probably be taken literally and as a metaphor for his life ;;

Like this could have literally happened to him as a kid and it traumatized him. He has legit no one to help him, he is alone and the one comfort and light is now spreading dangerously and trapping him behind it. Its blocking him from freedom ;;

That is how his life will go ;; Alone except for the hope he finds and runs away with only for him to stumble with it and it explodes in his face to forever keep him from the freedom he truly desired ;;

Ahhhh! This one!

This is one of those wips that's mostly in my head right now with a nominal placeholder in my docs that says things like "antagonists to lovers" and "knight mobius + prince loki". It has been sprouting from a seed that was planted during a conversation with @punch-love about a He Speaks Daggers comment on what Mobius gets out of his relationship with Loki.

I think Mobius is the sort of character that's loyal down to his bones when he really believes in something. (Canonically I think the TVA filled that space for him, but poorly. And that Loki fills that space for him much more fully.) And I wanted to explore that in a different setting.

THE STORY SO FAR:

Mobius is conscripted as Loki's personal royal guard bc there's SOMETHING SOMETHING happening that puts him at increased danger. Mobius sees Loki as sort of this bit of frippery, just a prince with an empty head that wears nice clothes and fucks, but he's loyal to the Queen/King (??) so he takes his assignment seriously. Obviously this puts them IN PROXIMITY and Mobius gets a chance to see Loki in a different light. Ultimately, he becomes loyal to Loki alone and BLAH BLAH BLAH YADA YADA YADA worship kink, happy ending.

A lot of this outline is loosely based on a book I read called A Taste of Gold and Iron by Alexandra Rowley which isn't strictly Lokius-coded, but lives inside my brain rent-free always. There's a scene in that book where Evemer (the guard) declares his loyalty to his prince and the way I had to close the book and fan myself. 😮‍💨

Anyway, it's down the list a little bit, but definitely one I want to chip away at this year!

Come to think of it, Han Sooyoung of the 1863rd round was like this. "Crazy… what did you bring back? Doesn't this violate probability?" Han Sooyoung checked the items and her mouth dropped open. "…Hey. Can you give me a few of these?"

Han Sooyoung not asking permission but instead the two of them just silently staring at each other as she carefully sticks her hands into his pockets and starts pulling random items out of his coat right in front of him. 😂
