Prompt Examples + Explanations 

I’ve had people ask for prompt examples in past events I’ve hosted and this event is open to any language, so here you go! These are the quick brainstorming notes I took while narrowing down the list, now expanded with links & definitions. These are only some of maaaany interpretations—go wild!

Your host is a fic-writer with ADHD, so…you’ve been warned.

🎃 Day 1: 

Pumpkin Spice: Cozy Autumn vibes. Putting up Halloween decorations, carving Jack-o-lanterns, coffee / tea shop, pumpkin patch, scented candles, baking, fall sangria, sweaters and beanies and flannels, momijigari (Autumn Hanami 🌸, basically) / admiring gorgeous fall foliage, fresh hot apple cider in an orchard. Itoshi Bros and their love of turtle/mock-neck sweaters. Pumpkin Farmer Aiku and Karasu scarecrow!

Dance with the Devil: Defined. To dance with the devil is to engage in risky, reckless, or potentially immoral behavior. Or going out dancing; Demon and priest, hell, listening to the angel or the devil on your shoulder (making a questionable decision because it’s tempting), devilish fun or spells, sin, temptation, a deal with the devil. Ohhh, Sae and Shidou, your night has come! 😈 (Suggested by unhingednagi) 

🎃 Day 2:

Myth: Myths or legends from any culture or time period. Greek, Roman, Japanese, Egyptian, etc.!! Gods and mythical creatures and beasts. Dionysus or Eros or Apollo Shidou; Persephone and Hades, so many! Hercules Kunigami!

Resurrection: reincarnation, zombies (Lorenzo!), waking up a vampire or werewolf after being bitten; …having a little too much fun on Halloween and having to pull oneself together the next day (sugar hangover, ...hangover-hangover). (Suggested by several anons!)

🎃 Day 3:

Whisper: soft voices, trying not to be caught/found/discovered, whispering a secret, whispering something spicy, hearing voices. 

Scream: screaming in fear or excitement or…; calling out for someone. Scary movies, pranks. Awkward meet-cute. Bachira’s monster. 

🎃 Day 4, Halloween: 

Sugar Rush: the “rush”/“high” or energy you get from eating a bunch of sugar! Trick-or-Treating, candy corn, so much candy, caramel corn; being sweet, a different sort of rush; ..."give me some sugar"

Haunted: Ghosts, spirit entities like yokai, strange noises in the night. GhostBusters, Ghost Adventures. Gagamaru as a friendly Yokai! Shaman. Possession, possessed or cursed objects. JJK. Ouija board game! Monk Igaguri. Real or funhouse haunted house, ghost stories; being haunted by the past; being possessed or haunted. The twisty, creepy aura thing Rin gets.

🎃 Day 5: 

Incantation: a set of words that could be a sort of incantation / magic words, any type of magic, witches, wizards, curses, Ness the Magician, Harry Potter, Quiditch, Lord of the Rings, crystal ball, tarot. Wands, spells, magical objects, magical creatures, etc.. Making a wish. Non-literal magic words in relationships (saying / hearing just the right thing). 

Free Prompt: Whatever Halloween stuff you want that doesn’t quite fit a prompt. The day to use any of last year’s prompts! 

Just listing some of the things I would draw (if I could) or write (if I had time): Video game au for Hiori! Little French imp Charles as the Joker or a jester. Pokemon! Barou as the “Cowardly” Lion in the Wizard of Oz. And finally, artists, if you’re reading this, please, please consider Noel Noa (of the 🇫🇷 French National 🥖 Team!!) dressed as Bonjour Man from Life Lessons with Uramichi Onii-san (clip, manga cap). This is my second year making this wish. This image has literally been haunting me since starting this event and the manga/anime (even the dub!) is soooo funny. And technically, Bonjour Man is a cursed spirit sooo 👻

🎃 Day 6: 

Festival: String lights illuminating festival stalls, costumes, traditional attire (Aryu looking stylish!), food and drink, games, Isagi devouring fried fair food. Fall Music festival. Mid-Autumn Festival (with all the pretty lanterns and mooncakes 🥮), Harvest / Fall Fests in general. Bobbing for apples, caramel / candy apples, carnival rides and games, Ferris wheel, corn maze. Oktoberfest; Kaiser and/or any Bastard München player in Lederhosen—please, I’m begging!! Fun house / haunted house. Day of the Dead festivities. 

Instinct: fight or flight, fear, instinct to hunt like vampires, instinct to save someone, instinctively drawn to someone, instinct to grab someone’s hand or hide behind them; that gut feeling that it’s time to leave a place. Hairs on arms raising, chills going down one's spine, one's whole body trying to tell one something.

🎃 Day 7: 

Space: All things celestial. Nightfall. Stars and moon, werewolves, moonlight, Tsukimi / moon viewing + Tsukimi dango 🎑, celestial myths and gods. Stars, moon, aliens, Star Wars, astronauts, and planetary hotline Isagi and Kurona! Kurona and Isagi planetary hotline. Astrology. Wishing on a star. Fun fact: The Orionid Meteor Shower peaks just before this event starts, the night of Oct. 21-22, and continues until Nov. 7th! Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy: Not much is wilder than Blue Lock—except maybe The Wild, Wild West. Outlaws, Gunslinger Isagi (see recent manga chapters), sheriffs Aikuuu and Nio, horses, rodeos, Ego and his little football bolo tie in cowboy getup pleaseee, the works, Nagi and his lil Choki cactus. Ego as a gangly cowboy, ⚽️ bolo tie and all.

Blue Lock fandom: Is anyone hosting a Halloween event?

I haven’t come across one here or on Twitter, and I don’t wanna step on anyone’s toes…but I definitely want there to be a BL Halloween event. I’ve hosted Naruto fandom events before and wouldn’t mind getting the ball rolling so people have plenty of time to prepare! Might’ve gotten ahead of myself and thought of themes already, but I’d be more than happy to contribute a fic to someone else’s event if I overlooked an existing Halloween event. 🎃

okay so basically, it's set like 20-ish years after the events of crooked kingdom. Kaz has met someone and settled down and is living part time on the farm, but then there's a whole thing with an old rivalry come back to haunt him and so he's like "okay. time to be a crime boss again, missed this." but it goes terrible anyway and Kaz loses everything.

SIDE EVENT 022

a reminder on side-events; they are non-mandatory occasional events that your muse can choose to participate in or not. while missing an event might mean missing out on points, be aware that choosing to take part in it could have positive or negative consequences for your muse. there is also no telling which part of the event will have consequences either since they will be tailored to make it difficult to guess what could impact your muse. while the final consequences are decided at the same time as the event is created, we will only reveal them after the deadline. so choose wisely: are you willing to make a gamble with your muse?

the princes of mischiefs are back for this HALLOWEEK, but have decided to forgo hosting HELL WEEK this year. some might celebrate, while others might be disappointed to go yet another year without the threat of surprise prank being pulled on its unsuspecting target (a.k.a you). or perhaps this false sense of security might be a trap that DBSD members are just waiting for you to fall into. who knows?

but, certainly, not everything is all right at the company, as stickers of WHITE BUNNIES WITH CLOCKS have appeared at various places within the company. furthermore, anywhere they are, PLAYING CARDS are hidden neaby. and while all the cards are QUEENS OF HEARTS, instead of the usual drawing of a queen at the center, each card has any of the following words written on it: 'EAT ME', 'DRINK ME', 'TAKE ME' or 'OPEN ME'. maybe you should pick on up? again; who knows...

LEGACY ENTERTAINMENT HALLOWEEN PARTY

on the week of OCTOBER 14, every trainee and artist of the company received an invitation to LEGACY ENTERTAINMENT’S YEARLY COSTUMED HALLOWEEN PARTY. since halloween falls on a thursday, the event will be hosted on NOVEMBER 2. unless stated otherwise in missions posts, everyone’s schedule will be cleared from 12PM to leave time for preparations.

the festivities will begin around 8pm and end at 3am. servers will be passing through the venue during the entire evening with finger foods and non-alcoholic drinks. a dj will be in charge of music, while a host will hold different events during the night ( examples include a dance contest, noraebang battle, and more ) and will crown the person with the best costume!

every year, legacy is known to host the biggest marketing event on that one day. brands compete ferociously to be the one that the company chooses! this year, it’s none other than NINTENDO that won the bid. since the press, lgc staff and higher ups and nintendo representatives will also be present at this event, trainees, actors, models, and idols alike are reminded to have fun but still keep it professional! additionally, on the day of the party, every attendee will be invited to walk the CHALLENGER APPROACH CARPET to enter the venue and join of the FACTIONS once inside!

CHALLENGER APPROACH CARPET

the red carpet is slowly becoming a tradition of its own! NINTENDO decided to bring it back, but of course, with its own flavor! just like during the previous 2 years, professional photographers and 200 lucky legacy fans will get to see the trainees and artists arrivals in person! this time, each arrival will be marked by the famous horn blare of SUPER SMASH BROS' new challenger announcement.

while no challenge will need to be completed this year to gain access to the party proper, all attendees are REQUIRED to wear a costume from any NINTENDO FRANCHISE. with such restrictions, it is likely that characters might be picked more than once, as such, those who wish to costumize/put their own spin on a character are welcomed to do so ! princess peach in pink denim? why not !

( important note: only up to TWO people can arrive at the same time. pairs can be idols in the same permanent group; models and actors of the same gender; participants of a project that has happened/aired in the last 12 months (dramas, plays, lgs girls and lgc spring boys); and trainees of the same gender. )

FACTIONS

instead of the usual halloween decorations, this year, the venue will be full of colors, reflecting nintendo's image. in each corner of the venue, GAMING STATIONS have been set up for multiple people to play either solo, but preferably in groups. each corner has a set theme (and games); ANIMAL CROSSING, POKEMON, SUPER MARIO BROS and SUPER SMASH BROS.

while attendees are free to play at any of the stations (or none), everybody will be asked to pick one FACTION from the four franchises mentioned above before the end of the night !

( important note: up to TWO people can pair up for this activity, without gender or occupation restriction, however, make sure to keep it professional! it’s up to you if the two muses got assigned randomly or decided to do the task together ) REQUIREMENTS

CHALLENGER APPROACH CARPET: OPTION 1 make an edit of your muse’s halloween costume and aesthetics. OPTION 2 write a 200 word solo or headcanon about the costume picked by your muse, any alterations they have made and the reason they went for this costume. completing either option will grant you +4 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE ANYWHERE and +6 NOTORIETY !

AND

ET TU, ALICE: write a 300+ word solo or 4 replies (minimum 8 lines) thread looking for cards and/or finding one (make sure to mention which card your muse got) for +10 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE ANYWHERE and +4 NOTORIETY !

As soon as the slightest pitter-patter of raindrops started to fall on your balcony, you were jumping up from your couch and running to grab your coat.

Luke's soft chuckle floated through the room, filling your ears with a sound that you would play on repeat if it were possible. "Where are you going?"

"To play in the rain," you answered, shoving on your rain boots.

He jumped up from his spot on the sofa defensively. "Woah, babe, are you crazy? It's freezing out there. You'll catch a cold in seconds."

You simply shook your head, zipping up your coat and heading for the balcony. "It's the last true rainfall before snow starts. I'm not wasting it."

"Baby-"

You were already sliding open the glass door. "Luke, you can either bundle up and come catch a cold with me, or you can stay in here and watch your silly little sports team get their asses kicked."

He met you with narrowed eyes, his hands settling on his hips in exasperation. "They're just having a bad season," he grumbled, grabbing his coat from the rack.

A triumphant smile flashed across your face as Luke followed you outside, frowning as raindrops hit his face. Contrastingly, you were grinning as the water dripped down your own face, spinning around and taking it all in.

"How is this enjoyable?" he questioned, though a smile had plastered itself to his lips.

"See, this is why they say opposites attract," you rebutted. "One man's rain is another person's sunshine."

Luke chuckled, hands meeting your hips and pulling you in close. "And that's why you're always catching colds this time of year."

"I don't mind. No better feeling when you get to enjoy the beauty of a rainstorm," you replied, a content sigh following the words. "Dance with me?"

One of his hands moved from your waist to your hand, your fingers linking like puzzle pieces. His chin rested on the top of your head, his touch enveloping you like the warmest blanket. The rain cascaded around the two of you like a bubble, drowning out the rest of the world until it was just you and him.

"Sing for me?" you asked quietly, as if speaking too loud would shatter the protective dome you'd built for yourselves.

Luke huffed in fake annoyance, but still did as told, beginning to hum out a familiar tune he was constantly singing to you, despite his endless reminders that he couldn't sing. "When my time comes around," the familiar Hozier lyrics rumbled out of him softly, "lay me gently in the cold dark earth."

You met his gaze as your bodies swayed back and forth, cheeks heating as he reached your favorite lyric of the chorus. "No grave can hold my body down, I'll crawl home to her."

Your heart swelled with adoration and joy as he spun you around, lyrics being whispered into your ear like secrets, Luke's warmth breath fanning across your skin. The rain slowly came to a halt, but you continued being held in his embrace, perfectly content to stay in the light of the cloudy sky forever if you were allowed.

His lips met your forehead as he pulled you in closer, muscular arms wrapping around you in a cozy hug. "In case you needed a reminder, you're the only person I'll gladly stand in a rainstorm with."

"In case you needed a reminder, you're the only person I'd want out here with me."

So sorry this is just now getting posted! My week has been far busier than I anticipated when I first planned this event but I am working hard to get everything written so it will be posted in time for Halloween! Thank you all for being patient with me as I navigate through all this! ❤️

in light of recent events (bllk manga 282 - 283. im crazy about them) i wanted to post a part of the rinsagi zombie apocalypse au i was writing for bllk halloweek (and didnt finish. oops)

implied major character death, rinsagi typical freakishness, descriptions of a zombie bite wound. also guns

The zombie bites a huge chunk off Isagi's shoulder.

Rin punctures the zombie in the head with a bullet—feeling rage melt into dread, as Isagi crumples on the floor, clutching his bleeding shoulder with a hand. Blood spills all over it, trickling down and pooling at his elbow, a slow and painful drip, and Rin cannot feel his legs when he rushes to Isagi's side.

"I have you," Rin says, even though he can already spot the signs of Isagi losing himself, the hyperventilating, skin growing cold under Rin's touch. The sweat everywhere.

How everyone keeps leaving; Sae, Bachira, and now—

Rin brings his mouth to Isagi’s wound.

Isagi hisses. “What are you doing, you idiot?”

Rin doesn’t hear, doesn’t care. He sucks as much of Isagi’s blood as he can from the wound, almost drinking it, infection on his tongue, and at some point it gets too much, maybe. He spits it out on the sidewalk beside them.

Isagi groans, back arching, either away from Rin’s mouth or into it—and Rin wishes he was, wishes for vastly different circumstances. Wishes that this wound was one he made. “This won’t work, Rin. It’s an infection. Either kill me now, or run—”

“I’m not letting you turn before me,” Rin says, voice hoarse. There’s blood on his lips. There’s blood in his mouth. “You promised you would kill me. You have to be the one to do it.”

“Didn’t you say—you would, too? Kill me?” Isagi says. "You promised."

Rin closes his eyes, breathing heavily. His mouth hovers over Isagi’s wound. Blood and iron and rot. He imagines Isagi Yoichi, with purple veins and discoloured skin, green and grey and black in places that aren’t supposed to be. Eyes white.

An Isagi less alive. An Isagi less interesting. An Isagi reduced to a lump of mindless flesh.

Rin bites his cheek. “I lied. I can’t do it.” I can’t look at you like that.

“Do you realise what you’re asking of me, then? Rin, get up,” and Isagi pulls on Rin’s hair, even if the strength of it is weakened by the bite. “Get up, Rin! You have a life after me. You have a life beyond me. Live it.” Isagi growls.

“No!” and Rin is startled with how much he means it. Isagi must be too. He’s still beautiful: wide-eyed, despite the wound on his shoulder. Looking at him like biting into a cyanide pill, a heart-stopping brain death.

“If you turn, I turn. That’s my new rule. My new promise.” Rin brings his mouth to Isagi’s wound, lapping at it, ignoring the taste of metal on his tongue. Urging everything into his bloodstream. Wants to cauterise the wound with his own tongue. Wants to be burnt by him. These are the things that have made him stronger, before—wanting to have an effect on Isagi, wanting to be affected by Isagi. These are the things that will be his undoing.

There’s a hand in Rin’s hair, gently stroking, and then pulling him up into a kiss. Isagi heaves a heavy sigh, and Rin captures the feeling of life on his lips. Blood and saliva—Isagi licks into his mouth, like trying to clear Rin of the infection. Salvation. Once, Rin had wished for something like this: for someone to save him.

Rin feels Isagi push cold metal into his palm, and then guide his hand to the side of his temple. Isagi’s hands are cold and wet with blood and rotting. It’s hard to swallow.

“Close your eyes,” he hears Isagi whisper. His face is so close, flushed and pale at the same time, and Rin desires to commit it to memory. “It’s like you’re simply teaching me how to aim. Remember?”

The things Rin has seen of zombies—of humans, turning, that moments before it they turn delirious. Manic, even. And Isagi is here, purpling veins, cold sweat, bleeding, and still coherent, if to just tell Rin to kill him.

It's that easy, Rin hears himself say in a memory, revolver in hand—Isagi's, Rin remembers—before it became his. The makeshift target infront of them with a bullet through the head. What Rin means, now: It's that so easy to lose someone.

Maybe Isagi closes his eyes. Rin wouldn't know, because he's closed his too.

The gunshot that follows is the most deafening sound for miles.

not anything art-related unfortunately, but i have been entertaining the idea of yearly events within the game! i was thinking of maybe a big "halloweek" event that would happen every halloween week that would involve the dungeon/trade systems taking place in the 'human realm', with exclusive enemies and npcs - maybe lorewise being the only time when the spectre city townspeople can safely go to the human realm? otherwise, i do have some loose ideas for the shop npcs and their assigned locations that i want to draw up sooner or later!
