not to be true crime posting on main but i think i'm falling down the wm3 rabbit hole again

#xenia.txt #when i tell you this case keeps me up at night to this day #not even the murders themselves as much as the general public's reception to and opinions on the case 3 decades later like #i get why it;s always been so divisive especially after the pl docus came out (lots of opinions on those btw none of them are good #from the bottom of my heart fuck you joe berlinger and bruce sinofsky)#but it's truly baffling how no one is willing to do the research on what is arguably THE most well documented true crime case in recent #history like. everything that's ever been released to the general public is available online and i mean everything #you can find all the court files trial transcripts depositions interogation tapes aerial photos you name it it's out there for anyone with #internet connection to access at any and all hours of the day #and yet people are still foaming at the mouth fighting on reddit abt their innocence based off nothing but a couple of movies like #bffr with me right now!! almost every point the innocenters make can be easily debunked by scrolling through callahan for 15 minutes #'but they've been pushing for dna testing since their release so they can't be guilty' baby the case is closed!#it's been closed the second they took the plea. they can be striking under that courthouse and it still won't change a thing and they knowi #that's why they're pushing for it in the first place but that's just my opinion #^ and i say they but it's really only echols which makes a lot of sense to me personally #and if you want to talk abt dna testing let's talk abt the one that was done in 2011 and how the defense hurried to propose the plea as soo #as they got the results! let's talk abt those cause no one's ever seen them and i would very much like to #braga share the results the people want to know!!#makes me wonder which pieces of evidence they even submitted for that 2011 testing because if i'm remembering correctly #there was one that would've closed this case instantly and maybe that's why the results were never disclosed and the plea was rushed #but that's also just my opinion #and it's also interesting how the majority of people who have in fact deep dived into this case #(and i'm not talking abt big true crime youtubers as i'm very sceptical abt their research abilities)#all collectively lean towards guilty. much to think about #i was hoping someone would make another ~actually~ unbiased documentary for the 30th anniversary and go over all the case files #but i don't think that's even realistic at this point seeing as everyone and their mother has some sort of an opinion on this case #hbo deserves another lawsuit for this. they should've never won the first one in the first place #true crime tw

#i didnt prepare anything for 1k honestly #this feels like it happened so quick even though its been over the course of several months #i believe when i came back here i was at around 70? then got to like 200 and then it just went up #800 for the daves i guess. and the few that came here for other stuff #and honestly i dont know what this blogs about now i just wanted to post everything here. and i like the tagging system so if you dont like #something you can mute it i guess? im not big into fnaf rn as theres nothing for me currently. if theres a hw dlc i might hop back in #as well as for any new games coming out #but hw2 was so short lived since the gameplay was out i a day and theres not much to theorize about etc. replayability is fine but #its not something to help me stay. and the movie did nothing for me and im worried i wont like the second either so im just focusing on #the games i guess. but then again no william no interest now. just how it be.. thats why im so whiny about the tse game #lotsa thoughts #on a positive note i luv sam and max now and if theres new stuff for sonic scu over the year i will bring that maybe #as well as sonic x shadow gens but thats a long way to go still #anyway. tldr thanks for following i hope theres something on my blog that will still interest you 🫡

i lied i did watch the oscars

I love the museum scene from ferris bueller so much not only cause its just great but also cause like everytime i see it i see myself and think about how special that kind of moment is

#i talk abt this often but like cause it impacted me so much #cause like i had the worst experince for my second half of highschool and my dad who also didnt like highschool understood #the importance of like taking the day off abd he'd let me skip and call me in sick and have a ferris bueller day as we called it #cause its a movie we both deeply loved and loved together #and at first id just stay at home in bed not getting up with the movie in the background and like eventually i started to do things w my da #cause my mom didnt know and she couldnt know so id go out and do things so it wasnt noticiable i was home all day #and like id walk around my neighborhood and go to musuem and movies and listen to new music and go to parks and places i hadnt been before #trying to give myself the best day show myself something good and slowly i went from rotting away to being like im taking a stand #im not letting my life unfold around me and i went out and did things i wanted to do and learned about all the things i wanted to #and was actually like involving myself in like what i wanted my future to be i went to plays and art museums and the movies #and when i see that scene i think of john huges commentary and how the museum was a place of refuge for him and so he came back to it #and put it in his movie and allowed it to be thst again and it was for arguably his like magnum opus #and that scene just fills me with such a sense of peace and nostalgia and hope and i cry everytime!#and everytime that movie is in theatres i go and see it and after its all over and i walk out and feel the sun shine on my face #everything for a moment feels like its gonna be okay and i think of my dad and the first time i saw this movie in elementary school #on one of those days he just had off and we took the day off together and how during the moment in my life everyone else was telling me #abt how important school was even when it was killing me he knew that sometimes you just had to take the day off and take it easy #and he let me everytime without questiom cause he knew what it meant and how much it meant to me

so mad at the thing in my brain that makes me freak out whenever there is something gorey or honestly just medically gross like. do you know how many games, movies, and TV shows are entirely inaccessible to me because of this? how many i've had to stop watching because they went a bit too hard in the gore/body horror department? how much money i spent on games i'll never play again? (regretfully looks at resident evil 7 and 8 in my steam library. at least 7 was on sale)

#grumpy this morning bc can't play bg3 :(#first of all i'm pretty sure it'll make my laptop AND my pc spontaneously combust so jot that down #second of all there's just a lot of.... violence? and gore?#at least from what i heard from my friend and what i've seen #and i'm so sad about it #i really was so excited to watch birds of prey back when it came out but nope! it's actually really bloody!!#i think this is because of my OCD actually which makes me even more pissed #because people are still like 'oh i'm a neat freak i'm so OCD' meanwhile i'm like #'many pieces of media are inaccessible to me because the sight of someone being killed or injured badly enough makes me panic #to the point of needing to withdraw and stop playing but i can't say that so i'll stay until its finished and never watch this again'#no but fr i don't trust any movie a sociology instructor shows me anymoee #because the first time i watched a movie for a soci class it ended with a suicide #(not graphic but idk it just really affected me)#and i spent the rest of the day in a haze repeating that scene in my head so much i could almost feel it #i tried to explain this to people and i heard 'yeah i think that's common' no? it's really kinda not #and it makes me really upset but i don't know how to get help for this? i know it's not good or healthy #hhhhhhhhhhhg #for some reason written description for the most part is okat #(its the aphantasia it saves me)#vent #vent tw

lowkey, I don't think I can ever watch the first Frozen movie again. I don't think it's bad or anything, but when I watched it for the first time last year, I felt like I was having war flashbacks every time one of the songs came on lol

How have I been in fandom for - going on 8 years (?) and not gotten into fanvids before?? All the association I could have been making.... All the memories.... All the composition and clever editing....

#going a little bit insane frankly #it's been about a month of absolute and utter mcu frenzy in my brain and i'm. vibrating #truly feels like some kind of intense fever at times #i've rewatched talitha78's set fire to the rain vid so many times it entrances me #it's to the point where every time i see that shot of loki grabbing mjolnir i hear 'you rose to claim it'#btw hello 13 years late to the party but like. 20 seconds in and i felt like that vid unlocked something in my artist brain #no because the lyrics are 'i let it fall / my heart / and as it fell / you rose to claim it' right #and so she puts clips of thor being banished and losing mjolnir and then loki trying to grab it #which. the interaction between the song and the video making mjolnir thor's heart.... not even 20 seconds!!#it's so clean to me #it's like when i actually took a good look at bill cipher's design and realised he had such expressive potential #and i had to do like a page of doodles about it #in 20 seconds that fanvid from 2011 made me want to make animatics so so bad #which btw i watched it partly because a fic i liked cited it as an inspiration #and partly because i looked at the dates #and realised that the creator put it out like not even two weeks after the movie came out??#absolutely insane. i love this so much #this is like having a family heirloom in your hands #grandma lending me the necklace she wore to her first date with grandpa for my anniversary dinner or something #i have just entered a new fandom and the fans who were here before are showing me what it was like when they'd just arrived too #the sacred texts and such also #anyway. man i love fandom.#wow i have a ramble tag now

I also want to make it very clear that the spider-verse franchise has made miles one of the dearest characters ever to me. All of the spidermen in the movie are great. But despite all our differences in bg and identity Miles' story speaks to me like very little else does (w/ some rare exceptions I keep very close to my heart). I'm not really coherent enough to provide sophisticated analysis rn but just know that he is my everything and I adore him so so much

#ramblings of a lunatic #like. the first spider-verse movie spoke to me as a 13 yr old when it came out #he was a kid with high expectations set for him and all these artistic ambitions but he dismissed himself. he doubted himself #he didn't realize that just being himself was valuable bc he is valuable. his journey to becoming spiderman #-hit so goddamn hard. it's about the fuckin. don't do it like me miles. do it like you (cut line spoken by peter b)#bc the way miles does it is good enough. he's good enough #and this second movie is still on that train but even harder as everyone tries to shut him out and make him feel not good enough #Miguel's projecting his bullshit onto miles his friends aren't sticking up for him his parents are disappointed in him. and he's hiding #but the movie affirms even harder that no. miles is something different and that is what makes him so special. he has so much worth #he has cosmic significance bc he is defiantly himself #and like. all of the subtext i mentioned above is clearly based around/related to his afrolatino identity #and I'm not gonna pretend for a minute that i get that part the way i get the more. surface level ig? aspects of his arc #these arcs exist bc of his background and how they thematically tie his identity into the story #but like. that context doesn't make him any less relatable. it just makes him mean different things for different ppl yknow?#and that's the beauty behind the while ''anyone can be behind the mask'' motif from the first movie #anyway. these movies are really good. i love miles #spiderverse spoilers

i cant be the only one who grew up thinking “gomez addams” took his wife’s surname... like [first name] gomez-addams because gomez was clearly a last name but he wanted to combine them for some reason and I didn’t know how american surnames worked. yet
