Second, Law and Luffy at the pool headcanon bc it's over 100 degrees where I am rn. Luffy cannonballs in before they even set up their chairs and Law just stares at him. He refuses to get in, so Luffy has to surprise him and push him in. He's mad, but then Luffy laughs and all is forgiven because he is the sucker for Luffy's laugh/smile.

Short answer: I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers, especially with some kind of mess or drama in between.

Long answer:

Before Veilguard dropped, I was being so careful to not let myself get out of hand building a Rook, because even though I like to bend canon, I also like to know what the canon sandbox is before I do that. I wanted to know the backstories, the faction vibes, and the relationship/quest beats before I got my heart set on an OC. At the same time, I was battling the overwhelming urge to immerse myself in character building because I was so hyped. So, as a compromise (and this is the "moment" I would say), I let myself pick exactly one (1) thing about my Rook: she knows how Lucanis takes his coffee and he trusts her to make it for him.

(which became infinitely funnier once it dropped that crow!Rook was a de Riva, because of the poison angle. serendipity, lol)

Having read the short story The Wake, I knew that there would be some fuckery regarding Lucanis being "dead" (and I was already planning to romance him after reading Tevinter Nights). I wanted to give him and Arlow enough of a relationship history that his death would mean more to her than just "ah shit, the First Talon's grandson got got", but I didn't want that history to be romantic, because I wanted to watch the romance arc play out in game.

So, best friends. And with how intense Lucanis is about his platonic relationships with all of the Veilguard, I'm really glad for that choice - I think it suits both of them, and the stories I want to tell for them (:

Sometimes, I really do forget that TOS was made in the 60s but then I'm violently reminded of it being an old ass show whenever they make an episode with aliens and it's a toss up between it being a person painted green/blue/red/yellow with silly prosthetics or literally just racists caricature of Asian people but in space.

This book is really barely more than Strong Vibes but it had a character that was raised in a more intense and even more soulless version of the peacekeepers in Farscape, like military society, kids trained from basically birth, don’t know their families, but now with Even More Brainwashing and Creepy Cultlike Stuff.

Character doesn’t even have a name or permanent numerical designation, the absolutely only identifying thing they have is a chip in their wrist that is only readable by computers and is used when assigning missions. On every mission you get a different designation number or code name. They are stripped SO completely of any sense of identity.

Character never been on a planet, never even was taught about planets in schooling or taught what a family is or anything even academically. Has no concept of gender because reproduction is completely done in a lab and no biology of any type is ever taught to the grunt soldiers.

Additionally: never heard music.

Turns out they are an absolute musical prodigy the SECOND they are introduced to music

Judging by your blog and the things that you post, you're a little girl who's clearly never been in any relationship, and you are living out your fantasies through tumblr. I mean take a look at your blog, you make such disgusting gross comments about attractive actors, and make sexual comments about them that borderline on uncomfortable and gross. Ninety percent of your blog is just attractive people and you simping over them. You want to call people out, maybe call yourself out for perpetuating gross stereotypes, and also making disgusting untoward comments about actors as well. I'm not saying that it's right for anyone to throw hate towards these actors, but before you go all high and mighty (and you were acting high and mighty with your whole 'obstinate, insipid, and ill-bred' comment), maybe consider that if the actors saw half of the shit you wrote about them and thirsting so hard, they'd be uncomfortable as well.

Ok hc time because I just thought of something. Last night I rewatched That episode and I noticed that when Utonium's old roommate barges into his home he makes a comment about him 'still living in the 60s' and I always thought it WAS interesting that the show is inspired by the 60s in terms of art style and architecture, but it does indeed take place in the 2000s!

Utonium is also seen drinking from a mug that says 'science con 1985' which also adds a little bit of a timeline but that's just a little tidbit! What I thought of was that while yeah the whole TOWN seems to be a little bit stuck in time, the Utonium household is 100% completely decked out in that 60s art deco style and maybe that's because the professor inherited it from his parents!

He mentions having them once or twice, and maybe when they died (they don't seem to be IN the picture) he moved in and maybe he just didn't have the heart to redecorate. Or didn't really care to 😂

Hello!! First off, my apologies for letting this ask sit for so long! I remember seeing it and then I made the mistake of not answering right away and here we are 😭😭

Thank you for being so sweet and encouraging about my writing, I really appreciate it. It'd be an understatement to say that my grand return to the fic world did not exactly turn out the way I'd hoped it would (ie: it didn't happen at all lmao) when I started planning projects and making promises at the beginning of the year. So to be told that you're still patiently waiting and that there are specific things you'd like to see from me is very nice to hear. 🥰

I don't really have any sort of projection atm of what the grand return might look like or if/when it might happen. It's something that's definitely been on my mind as the new year approaches and I've been trying to take time to reflect and reassess where my relationship to writing (and in a larger context, Tumblr and the online fandom tbqh) currently stands and while I don't have a clear answer yet, when I do, I will make it a point to come online and share. 💙
