I've once again come from the dead to post lmaooo

After having avoided the pilot for so long in fear of getting sucked into the world and fandom, I finally watched Lackadaisy! (My fears were right btw as it has a grip on me rn) I love it and subsequently read the comic so I knew everything and wouldn't get spoilered.

Anyway, a little time after I came across the amazing interactive fic called the Under The Devil's Moon made by @libras-interactives

I enjoyed a lot (and can't wait for the next chapter/update) and couldn't help but make ocs due to this fic being a sort of self insert thing

Personality:

(Mostly the usual callgirl personality with some stuff added into the mix)

Years of being in the industry, has shaped this feline to be calm, gentle and soft spoken. She knows what her customers want and acts accordingly so. Though, she doesn't particularly show it — that would be bad for her image as a callgirl — she is quick to give a person a label, to categorize them. She doesn't mean to be judgy but this mindset has helped her out countless of times, so she continues on; getting to know that someone is the only way for her to lift off the verdict she holds. With the ones she loves, Margaret is very caring towards. Making sure they're well fed with both food and love is one of her top priorities. (Though, recently that has been a difficult task to maintain) This, unfortunately, can make her pushy and stubborn even when she means well.

Romantic Relationship:

Out of all the characters to choose from I chose our friendly local bartender, Viktor Vasko. At one time I was thinking of either Zib or Sable but after reading about how he would treat Chester, I was sold. I can't for that romance to unfold! :D (rhyming unintended)

Other:

• She was born and lived most of her life in the outskirts of New Orleans

• Her mother succumbed to a yellow fever outbreak, leaving her and a few other kids orphaned.

• This led to her forming a group with said children and the four of them residing in an abandoned shack.

• Margaret knows how to fix things at least temporarily because of this (e.g. pipes and infrastructure).

• (This one is a little violent so warning for that :'D) Both her front paws are missing their claws. This is due to a farmer who got sick of her constantly stealing his chickens.

• The pearl necklace she has, was given to her by Flynn. She doesn’t like anyone to know that and avoids the question when asked who she got it from.

• She likes fidgeting with the pearls. The way they softly clack when moved and the feeling of them soothes her.

• Due to her motherly nature, she will "adopt" (translation: care and look after) anyone under the age of 25 with who she is somewhat close to, especially when they are boys

• She sees Jack and Marius as older sons of hers

• Rocky could (will) be a contender for the spot of a fourth son

• She always carries a box containing a sewing kit, buttons and patches

• This has come in handy plentiful of times for Jack, mostly. On rare occasions Marius is in need of them, though I would think he's picky on what she uses; they have to match.

• Though, she says she doesn't know who Chester's father is, she knows. She just doesn't like to acknowledge it.

This little troublemaker, has a great fondness for being one with the earth. By that I mean, he loves digging. Chester likes creating craters at playgrounds or parks, all the while letting himself be covered in freshly dug up soil. Almost all of his clothes have a grass stain and Larochka fears that he might have stained his chubby little hands for eternity. Speaking of fashion, he hates wearing shoes. A tantrum is bound to occur if you simply try to make him wear a pair. Even if you somehow achieve the impossible, he will just claw them off and chuck them. However despite all that, he's well meaning and can be gentle at times. He enjoys snuggling with him Mama or Larochka. Chester is very social and when out he's always looking for a way to make people smile.

Other:

• If he likes you, he'll make you a 'special mud pie' (a mud pie sprinkled with hand picked flowers; the more flowers, the more he likes you)

• He's handsy, mostly because he's an affectionate boy but also due to the fact he has poor eye sight.

• While he's chubby right now he grows to look more like his father, even somewhat in the face department.

• Fortunately for everyone and the tom himself, he grows out of his habit to refuse any kind of footwear. Don't tease older Chester about his phase, though, because he will get embarrassed and he will look like he just ate a sour lemon.

Day 1, First Kiss

I tried and failed to make it look like Amy was kissing Surge's cheek, but oh well. I feel like my colors came out well!

It's been a couple years now since I last drew this ship and honestly, I forgot how fun they are lol. I personally like the idea that Surge tries to redeem herself a little, but more on her own terms, and really just wants to see the world the way Amy does. I like to think she's kind of like her muse. The fact that she seemingly took Sonic's semi-gf from him is a plus lmao

Amy was drawn to Surge because of her strength I think. Like, Surge wasn't really a pet project or anything, Amy let her keep her autonomy, but was definitely supportive when she started trying to be better. I feel like Amy's the one person aside from maybe Kit (and even then, sorta) that can actually bring out Surge's kinder side. Don't get me wrong, Surge is still a little gremlin and hates Sonic's guts. But she's toned down just a little in my headcanon lol

so the whole crux of the au is that qui-gon gets a terminal diagnosis so obi-wan ruins his life to stay with his dad in small town tatooine to take care of him without letting anyone (anakin) know that qui-gon's sick

but i imagine after like 5 or 6 years when qui-gon is getting very very sick (even though it's a bit of a miracle he's still alive at all), he goes by shmi's house and asks her to please look after obi-wan once he's gone because he doesn't want his boy to be alone. and at first shmi is very resistant to the idea, but qui-gon's got a way with dying wishes, and obi-wan does pathetic very well in the days after his dad's funeral, so shmi shows up at his house with a casserole and sorta just bullies her way inside. and eventually they talk about the whole breakup between obi-wan and anakin and obi-wan confesses that qui-gon was supposed to only have a few years left to live and he couldn't leave him alone but he also couldn't damn anakin to rot in tatooine when he hated the town so much so he just let him go and gave him a reason to make sure he left

and shmi is oh you stupid boy (but sorta tearfully) and makes him eat an extra serving of casserole.

and she sort of becomes his biggest advocate after that, carefully keeping from anakin that she's talking with obi-wan and reading his rough drafts of his childrens' books. but she knows obi-wan still loves her son and she's pretty sure her son is still fucked up over obi-wan in a way that's mostly love, so she sends a copy of obi-wan's book to anakin for his kids to read because she thinks it's so obvious that obi-wan is writing about the lives he's dreaming up that anakin is having

Why is Aventurine Preservation-Imaginary?

(The real answer is, it's probably just HoYo filling out the path/element roster, but we'll play along!)

We'll tackle his element first. It's not the easier of the two, but it's the one with less info to sort through. The basic element types are:

Elements: wind, fire, ice, lightning

Sorta-abstract: quantum, imaginary

Physical: physical

It's a pretty funny system, all things considering. Here's Gepard, he can summon a massive wall of ice through will alone! Here's Dr. Ratio, he can make a massive tower just by thinking it into existence! Oh and here's Luka. Ordinary human. Pretty good at boxing.

(Not including Trailblazer here - probably the stellaron helps her swing that bat extra hard or something.)

And in the middle, you have Guinaifen, Hook, and Serval, who use the element but do not create it from scratch. For example, Serval is conceivably using electricity from her electric guitar.

Most of the elements are pretty self-explanatory, but Quantum and Imaginary are a bit more abstract. What are these types? What do they mean?

Quantum: technology, information, data, uncertainty

In my mind, Silver Wolf is the classic quantum character. She uses hacking to change data. In her hands, the data is always shifting. Fu Xuan is another direction that quantum can go - she's a diviner, and her job is peering into the future and making sense of the uncertainty. And then Qingque has elements of both: she works in divination, and also there is uncertainty in each hand of Celestial Jade.

Imaginary: Logic, abstraction, math/physics/metaphycs, theology

For some reason, Imaginary feels to me like dealing with the grand existential questions. There's Dr. Ratio on one end, knowledge is the measure of all things, and then there's Luocha with religious symbolism all over him, the devils, the church, the insanity in his character story, healing you with a cross necklace. Welt with his black hole - there's some kind of physics in there!

But this seems more like a philosophy than an element in battle. So in practice, what Imaginary characters have in common most of all is summoning miscellaneous objects 😅 black holes, dragons, chalk, etc.

So on that note, Aventurine fits right in, summoning dice and coins all over the place! Watch your he-ead~ 🎶🎵

I would've expected Aven to be Quantum. All the RNG in his kit. . . all the gambling, all the uncertainty. . . it seems more alike Qingque's tile suits. He even has card suits on his shields!

Perhaps the Imaginary is more about his character. Much of his story is intensely existential - what's the good of his blessing when everyone he loves is gone; why are we born if it's just to die. Perhaps he brings not just another answer, but a new way to see the question—not Why am I here, but All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

A more direct question that he himself discusses is why he's Preservation. We know he was offered the chance to become a Masked Fool, and seek Elation - the pursuit of happiness. Yet he turned it down.

As his alter-ego says, he and Preservation have nothing in common.

Interestingly, he also gives himself the answer.

He didn't choose the Preservation. Aventurine chose the IPC.

But wait—aren't the IPC the bad guys?

It is fascinating to me when people make out the IPC to be the villain of this tale, or talk about him "escaping" the IPC as if he's being held hostage. Not only did he choose the IPC, he gambled everything, including his life, just for a sliver of a chance to join them.

They didn't kill his family, enslave him, brand him, or make him kill 34 other slaves. Certainly, the IPC has used Aventurine's talents and self-destructive behavior to their benefit, and is not particularly concerned with what becomes of him. They are big, corporate, and easy to hate. But they are also not the cause of his tragedy.

It's not the IPC, but rather the Katicans, that kill Kakavasha's family. His sister describes them as "bloodthirsty, cruel, and insatiably greedy." Personally I can’t say with confidence that the Katicans are villains without knowing their full history, but either way, the conflict is between the Avgins and the Katicans.

My feeling is that the IPC is amoral - they are not actively out to do harm, but neither will they go out of their way to avoid or prevent it. They are focused primarily on profit. Sometimes that means taking over a planet against the people's will. Sometimes that means making gambles. . . or sacrifices. Other times, it means hosting an Aetherium event.

So, why does Aventurine choose the IPC? What's interesting to me is, he isn't a slave to the IPC in any sense - not even in the lack-of-choice sense of Topaz's planet. He had a choice. He could have become a Masked Fool. So, why?

It all comes back to this:

"Go ahead, use me as you wish, even stab me in the back if you see fit. Exploitation and treachery are simply tools of the trade. But remember, I don't make deals that don't pay off... So, I hope you don't disappoint me."

The IPC is a tool to him, a means to an end. He expects that the IPC will use him, and in exchange he intends to use the IPC.

But to what end?

It's got to be something big. He could have become a refugee or an ordinary IPC employee, and instead he took the risk of lying about Tayzzynronth's remains. He let himself be arrested and brought to Jade. "I bet you won't send me to the gallows." Death was a possibility, so it had to be worth that risk.

My guess is that he wanted to save the Avgin people.

(And in this sense, Preservation is his true path after all.)

His sister tells him, "As long as you are alive, the blood of the Avgin will never run dry." Perhaps his goal was to save the remaining Avgin people, bring them away from the land of rock and sand and hardly any rain, and give them a home where they could prosper. Or to environmentally transform his home the way the IPC transformed other planets. To do that, he'll need more money and power than an IPC grunt's income. But with a Stoneheart's power, the IPC's money, and the Intelligentsia Guild's knowledge, he could make that happen.

(It feels off. It feels like too simple of an answer.)

But the Avgin people are all gone. Aventurine specifically says there aren't any left. Now that his reason is gone, what will become of him?

In a way, he does offer us an answer.

Aventurine: There will come a day when the sky will drizzle, and I will hear the call of Gaiathra Triclops and know that it is time for me to go and be reunited with my family. Aventurine: So until the time comes... I should be preparing. Kakavasha: Preparing for what? Aventurine: Preparing to face them, Kakavasha, and to make them proud.

He will go on to live a good life. What form will it take?

I don't think he can ever completely shake off the responsibility of being the last surviving Avgin. It would be quite a leap for him to settle down and have a family, so perhaps he'll have to pass it forward some other way. Either by preserving the culture (another museum management event?) or by dedicating his wealth and power to saving other peoples.

The thing about being somewhere is, you can't help but grow into it, and it grows around you. And now, he has. . . allies who are a bit closer to friends than he might think.

He has two coworkers who willingly handed over their cornerstones for his plan—cornerstones more precious than life itself. He seems to genuinely look out for Topaz (advising her against getting involved in Belobog), and she talks about him cheerfully during 2.1. And I am sure that bringing him into the IPC was a significant personal risk for Jade, especially since he'd already caused the IPC a major financial loss. For Jade and Topaz, he has—if not their trust, at least their respect in his abilities.

And he has the Intelligentsia Guild's top Mundanite fussing over his survival. Not for the Avgin bloodline, and not for profit or the success of a mission. Acheron refers to Ratio as his “friend”, and he doesn’t bother to deny it.

He has three allies/maybe-friends involved in a grand scheme with him, and isn't there something addicting about scheming together? Something as marvelous as what the Trailblazer has with the Express? So, I don't think he'll leave the IPC anytime soon. He carved out this path with his bare hands, made a life and a purpose for himself, and even made some friends along the way. Now, it's time to live it.

Johnny’s only reason for not running away is Josie

He probably often takes beatings for her like if he sees his dad raise a hand to her he’ll literally shove his dad so the anger is redirected to him

He doesn’t like leaving her in her own room because he doesn’t want her to hear all the stuff that goes on (parents throwing things, hitting each other, yelling, etc

He’ll hold her to his chest and cover her other ear so all she can hear is his heartbeat (though she wonders why his heartbeat tends to speed up randomly)

Food is tight too and he hates having Josie go hungry so he sneaks her his portion of food with the insistence that he would eat later but he never really does

When they’re cuddling she’ll ask “why his tummy is grumbly” and he just sighs and lies about it being digestion

I kinda feel like Social Services came to take her away because her teachers were concerned for her

On that mute I feel like she was 7 or 8, and ended up being best friends with Two Bit’s little sister Kit

Either social services took her or the Mathew’s took her in because Johnny literally begged Two Bit

“She ain’t safe at my place, she don’t deserve to live in a house like that, she needs to live like a normal kid, it’s already over for me, the least we can do is give her a childhood” and that just about breaks Two’s heart (and is another reason Two screamed at Mrs. Cade which was deserved, fuck that woman)

He was so sad leaving her and literally just…let himself get beat that night for whatever reason. His parents hardly notice he’s around so they probably forgot about her. But he takes it as a punishment

So I feel like Josie was kinda the opposite, she like Johnny was practically mute (worse than him actually) and she just came over and was like “Hey, I’m Katherine Mathews! Call me Kit though or you’ll regret it” and they kinda just became friends from that day on lol

When Johnny found out he was over the moon because she had a new friend!

If we’re going with Filipino Two Bit (which I do on this blog because I think it’s neat) both Josie and Johnny have been invited over just to try their food and they both love it

Has a sorta 'Big Brother' role to Tumble and Pounce, he found them on them alone streets when they were kits and brought them to the junkyard, Jellylorum took on the mom role for them but their still his little losers

-Meeting

Demeter and Munkustrap grew up together in the junkyard and while they weren't that close when they were younger they did consider each other friends. Alonzo never planned on joining a tribe, but after finding two kittens in a back alley he knew he needed to find somewhere safe for them. he had heard of the tribe of cats in the junkyard and figured he could go there, at first he was planning on just dropping the two kittens off making sure they were ok and going about his life as before but he unfortunately grew attached to those two trouble makers. when he first went to the junkyard he kept to himself and just focused on Tumble and Pounce, Then he meet Munkustrap. They quickly got on and would proudly call each other best friends.

-Dating

After Demeter and Bombalurina left with Macavity when he was banished Munkustrap had to step up as the next in line to be the jellicle leader and tribe protector. He threw himself head first into this new role, Alonzo not liking how his friend was clearly struggling with this new responsivity stepped up to help him in anyway he could. At first the were clearly just friends and Alonzo even had a short lived relationship with Cassandra, But there was always something between them. They didn't know what to call it at first, they were both just kinda longing in silence. Then Alonzo kissed him. And something just clicked.

Now when Demeter and Bomba came back to the Junkyard, Bomba with a young kitten and Demeter with a Toddler and newborn kit, All the kittens clearly Macavitys there was tension in the tribe on whether to let them back in, Munkustrap and Tugger were their biggest advocates and made it clear they wouldn't take no as a answer. when Old Deuteronomy made it clear they were welcomed Tugger instantly took Bombalurina and her kitten to his owners house to keep her safe and was willing to take Demeter too but she wanted to stay in the junkyard. Alonzo and Munkustrap put themselves in charge of keeping Demeter safe. Since Alonzo lived in the Junkyard he would stay with her a night.

Demeter was thankful for them and slowly opened up to them and eventually welcomed them fully into her life. She at first considered them as friends and wasn't ready for another relationship and wasn't sure if she ever would be. But she couldn't deny that she cared about them and they were both very sweet with Plato and Jemima. There wasn't really a exact day they decided they were together just one day Demeter was like 'oh i have two husbands now' and she is very happy about that

they have 7 kittens (counting Jemima and Plato)

Thank you so much for the prompt! This one is actually a bit of a spoiler for near the end of American Beasts, but here you go, have some Kit and Jacob!

He watched as the soldiers of Eden’s Gate stumbled back to the safety of the Project’s compound. Their numbers cut down and bloodied, even less would be making it into the bunkers to see New Eden, the herd culled by the ingrates who called themselves the Resistance. The hollow men who’d seen war, now as tainted by it as he was, moved like shadows past him – but she was nowhere to be seen, his eyes trained to search out that red hair and those pale blue eyes in a crowd. His heart raced in his chest, his brow furrowed as he just kept searching the faces. He wouldn’t, couldn’t, let them see the fear that was steadily creeping up his spine. 

Where the fuck are you, Kitty?

The last stragglers of the army passed through the gates, a slow trickle of souls. His jaw clenched tight, a cold glare landing on each one of them, some part of him questioning how they survived, but somehow she didn’t. She wasn’t there. He hadn’t even received a final radio call. No warning at all. She was out there somewhere gasping her last breath, dying, alone, surrounded by the weak. He was of the mind to march out there and find her, pick up a gun and fight till the last breath in his body was spent, even if it meant he’d end up rotting in the ground beside her. It was better than the future he had without her. The future without promise, without hope – only sacrifice. 

Rounds fired into the night broke the darkness that started to swallow his thoughts, and Jacob’s gaze focused on the treeline. Raised voices screamed out slurs at their people, only to be hushed, met with utter silence as if blanketed in a fog that dampened sound, the same that creeped across the ground at his feet. Gunshots rang out once more, the trees bending and swaying, parting to make room for her. She dragged another of their people along with her, limping forward, more blood and broken bones than a man but like a good soldier she’d leave no one behind, having made a promise to Joseph as their Lion. 

Jacob motioned for followers to come forward and collect the man in her arms. Picking off the last few members of the Resistance who’d chased them that far with his rifle. She stood before him unburdened, silent and staring. He had no idea if she was injured herself. She didn’t seem to care. Frozen like a deer in the headlights, he was afraid to touch her. Was she just some ghost, another figment of his imagination? As if the moment he touched her she’d turn to sand and blow away in the wind. 

She gazed up at him, her face dotted with blood spray, strands of red hair blowing around her face and shoulders in the breeze, braid falling loose down her back. Her breath plumed out in a cloud of fog with each heavy exhale, stare unwavering as she clung to the dogtags that hung around her neck.

“Please tell me this is real. That this isn't some sorta goddamn dream,” he husked. 

“I’m here.” Her voice was hoarse, worn down from shouting out orders. 

Without wasting a single moment or another thought, he reached out in an instant reflex and cupped her face in his hands, thumbs stroking over the peaks of her cheeks as his mouth crashed down against hers. The briny scent of her sweat mixed with the smoke of fire and gunpowder, tinged with the metallic tang of blood. It was her, she was real, and he was absolutely enveloped by her. His lips devouring her, hungry and aching, starving for the future he'd thought he lost.

He brushed his fingers through her hair, knotting them up in her tresses, only to be gripped in return, her hands digging into his back, proving she was going nowhere, that she'd always come back home. The dog tags he gave her clanked between them, ringing out in the dark with each desperate meeting of his lips with hers. He hated to think that he might have ever been given the opportunity to forget how she tasted. 

His forehead pressed to hers, frozen stare taking in her angel face streaked with the remnants of violence, he couldn't believe he could be this fucking lucky to have here there, alive. “Look at me.”

Her eyes fluttered open, a gaze as cold and icy as his own meeting him, but in them he saw none of the deep seething anger that others witnessed with fear, he just saw light. He saw hope, and for a minute, he thought he could believe it, despite what the rest of the world had shown him. 

Pale eyes focused on her, hardened by a life that had never been easy. “I thought I'd lost ya.”

“I'm not that easy to kill.”

“Just you and the cockroaches.”

Her soft caress against his jaw was almost too much to bear. Something gentle despite the brutality he knew those hands were all too capable of.

“I'm always going to come back to you. Always.”

I've noticed you tend to post about how you are not a big fan of the heartstopper show and its casting and I was wondering if you could give some insight into why you don't like the show very much? Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions but I was just wondering? Wanting to see your pov on this. Not trying to send hate whatsoever!! 💜

Well personally I feel like the show kinda watered down the characters… Charlie specifically. In the comic Charlie is very confident and pretty popular guy- not like nick Nelson popular but he’s well liked yk? But in the show he seems to sorta get more put down by Harry and his friends.. I wish we saw Charlie sticking up for himself rather than tao do it for him.

UGH SPEAKING OF TAO. literally what happened?? In the comic he seems pretty protective over his friends but in the show BRO IS OBSESSED.. Like I get your gay friend has fallen for a "straight guy" but that’s none of your business!! Also assuming ppls sexualities but ur the token straight ally?? Right… also he blames Charlie at the end for what happened with Harry as if he wasn’t the one creating more drama. Overall I HATEE show tao. I also DIDNT appreciate the fact that elle outed nick.. like girl.

The only characters I actually enjoyed were tara, Darcy, tori and the teacher. Even I was disappointed with Nick.. like the show allowed a whole ass slur but not a "happy fucking birthday." ??? What the fuck??? Nick just seem more soft in the show and I didn’t like it.

moving on to the casting… Nick is fat, kit Connor is not.. Charlie and tori are Spanish and well, jenny and Joe are pale ASFF!! (And yes ik Spain is very diverse but this isn’t the point of this post) And ppl always hate when I bring this up but idc. YES IK THEM BEING SPANISH ISNT A BIG DEAL IN HEARTSTOPPER BUT ITS STILL PART OF THEIR CHARACTERS!!/!/!/$:$

Anyway… um. Joe locke and Charlie do NOT look alike like whatsoever. Jenny is a little bit better but why would they srsly cast a grown woman in her late 20’s to play a young 15 yr old teenage girl.. this is not the 2000’s we don’t need 30 year olds playing teens anymore thanks! Back to nick, like I said nick is fat. He’s a chubby man. Yet he’s played by a kinda skinny-buff guy.. ik kit is like making it up by working out to gain weight but now nick nelson is gonna be a buff guy. Which in the comic he is buff ik that but he’s also chubbyyy!!!!

I read through your response and I take no offense, don't worry. It's nice to see other views on the idea, even if they don't entirely agree with it.

For my Civil War AU (if you wanna call it that), there would definitely be some hesitation from Shadow, Espio, Whisper, and Lanolin if they winded up having to fight their friends to get to Eggman, but considering Shadow in IDW was aiming to outright kill him, I could probably see him manifesting the guts to do so, especially if he's executing Eggman on GUN's orders. Whisper will definitely be in pain over having to fight Tangle, the one person who brought light back to her life, but would attempt to mask her feelings and try doing so anyway, only to finally give up in the end, because as much as she hates Eggman, she also can't stand losing someone ever again, and I think she'd also be reminded of what Tangle taught her.

As for Espio? Idk, I don't entirely know his character well enough to determine if he'd be willing to go through with fighting his team (and maybe even Cream) to get to Eggman, but if he made a vow to stop him no matter what, then I guess he'd follow through.

And yeah, Lanolin being manipulated into believing Eggman's death is what's best for the planet is sorta what I'm going for here. At the end though, she'll definitely come around.

As for Surge and Kit? My idea involved those two attempting to spike a war between the heroes by motivating some of them (being the aforementioned ones above) with the idea that Sonic's pacifist ideals of freedom are wrong and that they're better off killing Eggman. It's not exactly fully fleshed out, I know, considering Surge and Whisper could not be on worse terms than they are right now, but I think eventually they'd (reluctantly) agree to a truce for their common goal. (Of course Surge is secretly using them to get Eggman out of the way before making them her next targets but they wouldn't know that yet.)

So yeah this is sorta how I imagine this whole thing going down. If you're still not fully onboard with it, I don't mind.

Like the idea is interesting to me and if i saw someone comic it out i would like be so onboard with this but it's sad :( like we wanna hunt Eggman that's funny but also pitting sonic and his friends against eachother creates interesting drama like the feeling of "HUH, im intrigued" and "NOO don't fight!" and "this is so funny" jitnsdjkgnhbh im onboard with the idea i am.

i wanna see Surge and Whisper dynamic played out so bad. Cause Surge and Whisper could probably form some sort of friendship i wont call it a friendship but a relationship dynamic that they could work so well together but they clash when it comes to personal affairs. I myself would like to make stories exploring them.

i was telling my friend about this ask and when we were talking about Shadow i came to that Espio he's a ninja and ninja's have honor and all that so like, Espio if it was honorable to end Eggman he'd do it because he was told to whether he wanted to or not, your choice doesn't matter in honor, say: if nobody told him to. Otherwise i don't think he would think it honorable to do that HOWEVER roughing Eggman up is entirely not off the table. and maybe a happy little accident (not so accident) happens oopsy, Eggman is dead WOW how did that happen? but Espio would defiantly feel guilty over that IDK just throwing ideas all over and my thoughts.

The Ninja aspect of Espio is never explored and i want it explored so badly

The hero is known to be this very smooth, gentlemanly, discreet rake, but the heroine (understandably) views him simply as the guy who got drunk and caused an accident that left his best friend (her husband) paralyzed. When the hero is asked to impregnate her, his first reaction (after "WHAT") is "dude she cannot STAND me".

The Earl Takes All by Lorraine Heath--the gorilla twins book, which hinges on the fact that not only the heroine, but everyone who knows the hero, thinks he's a loser. His obituary (he's obviously not actually dead) is like "GOD.... THAT GUY, AMIRITE?"

The Dueling Duchess by Minerva Spencer kinda has this vibe, as the heroine is a very hardcore woman and the hero is a rake who initially is like you're soooo important to me that I want to keep you as my mistress" and she's like ".... IDIOT"

Barbarbian's Mate by Ruby Dixon, my favorite Ice Planet Barbarians book I've read so far. Our heroine really wants a mate, but when it turns out to be this guy she's like "I'D RATHER DIE". I mean he is kind of a loser, but he's a very competent loser!!!!

The Duke Gets Even by Joanna Shupe. Sorta these vibes--like, she very much loves him back, but she's also like "JESUS CHRIST WE SAID WE WOULDN'T DO THIS YOU MORON".

The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes by Cat Sebastian. Hero literally begins by sending the heroine a blackmail letter and they snarkily correspond and he falls in love with her over said letters. (The Queer Principles of Kit Webb has another vibe like this but it's m/m.)

Unmasked by the Marquess by Cat Sebastian. The hero and the nb lead are best friends, and they do begin having sex, but he's under the impression that this is leading to Something and THEY do not have that impression, so he likes... proposes right after fucking them against a wall and they're like "oH MY FUCKING SHIT" and wheel on him listing all the reasons he's a bisexual disaster. They're not... wrong.

The Bride Goes Rogue by Joanna Shupe. Heroine made the initial move in this relationship, he turned her down, she hates him, then they begin a no strings thing... and then he proposes but in a way that is very "... WHAT ELSE IS THERE?" (The Swan Princess) and she fucking. Devastates him. I laugh every time.

The Earl I Ruined by Scarlett Peckham. Perfect for this; hero has been in love with heroine for years (she's his best friend's little sister) and she thinks he's an idiot w a stick up his ass. (He in fact... a dom.)

It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas. More like "he's been in lust with her this whole time", but her shock is still huge.

No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole. This is a great example of that in paranormal. The heroine is an emotionless warrior, hero is the scholarly vampire who adores her and walks through blood for her but she is like "my god, how embarrassing".

I know they likely mean bristling, like fur rising in anger, and that'd track with Flipclaw at least, but it makes me think of those uncomfortable scratchy hairbrushes that always hurt your scalp. I don't like that. It doesn't sound good to me. It sounds so off. Ivypool why are your kids' names so shitty!! Girl you have one of the cooler names in the series, I know you're better than this!

Anyways. I wanna overhaul her kits (which are ivyblossom kits here) to have floral names cause I like naming themes. I like her suffix still being -frost because there's some drama you can get out of that with Ivypool's experience with Hawkfrost.

I wanna make her like a prickly plant, maybe even a toxic one? Sorta to make her intentions in TBC interpretive- is she a spy, or is she genuinely working with Ashfur and thinks he's right?

Rose and Pine stick out to me but I don't know if Rosefrost or Pinefrost really vibe with me. Oooo Fennelfrost or Burnetfrost could be good...

I think Thymefrost could be good? It's a plant and it's specifically a bitter plant that needs to be rinsed before use. I think that could be good.

Session 2 of my Lifegen game!!! (Part 1)

(Session 1)

*Best impression of an old, British man* Here we see a cat, that we have dubbed 'Freezestrike', attempt to gracefully leap over a stream next to the SongClan camp.

Unfortunately for the young feline, she has failed her stunt and felled face first into the river, much to the mirth of her friends, Premafrostnip and Rowaneyes. Luckily for her, the river wasn't very deep but she is still drenched, head to tail, in water.

*normal* Honestly, the reason I drew Premafrost and Rowan here is due to the fact they were the only cats of Freeze's age that I had solid designs for ♪~ ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ Even then, I gave Rowan a little tweak (& Premafrost but it's relatively minor).

Parsley has been Freeze's crush since they were kits and, honestly, I should've drawn her more often (and Freeze's other close relationships). Parsley and Freeze always hang out and gave blushing side glances to each other and others in Freeze's circle definitely took noticed.

Freeze, here, confronts Parsley with the fact he has a crush on her and, surprisingly, Parsley reveals she feels the same for him. They decide that they will hang out more and develop their friendship (=^ェ^=)

Just me pointing out the obscene about of healers the clan has *rolls eyes*. But, hay! At least we've finally met a few of them!

These two are Antlershock and flowers son, Freckleblur (he/they) >:3 Antler is one of Freeze's parental figures and a bit of a troublesome bitch. In game, they have the traits 'daring' and 'great decorator' (hence all the plants flower is wearing) and they taught Freezekit the hunting crouch.

Let me repeat: Antlershock, a clan healer, taught a literal kit how to do the hunting crouch used for, well, hunting!

Flower is also a huge matchmaker, being the one to encourage Freeze to pursue her crush the most. Flower even gave him a piece of prey in order to help swoon Parsley. (I don't remember when, but it happened)

Also, their sprite's quite pretty and I may or may not have decorated it a bit - > - ;

Freezestrike doesn't chat with Freckleblur often but he seems like a sweet guy. In game traits are 'loving' and 'good fighter'.

Alright, Moon 19 a.k.a my excuse to draw all of Freezestrike's littermates because they desire attention ( ๑ÒωÓ๑ )

First up is humble, fantastic tunneler Snowtrail! Plus his childhood ladybug pet Skitterbug :3 He just sorta vibes and does occasional caving but he is one of Freeze's closest littermates, alongside another we'll get to shortly.

On this moon, Snow decided to grow some bamboo next to his nest in order to get some extra shade by lakeside his clan calls home.

Well, speak of the devil, here is Premafrostnip, Freeze's closest littermate! I've already talked about her a bit last time but she is just a feisty, challenge-lover she-cat ♡(>ω< ✿) Her in-game traits are 'oblivious' and 'multilingual', hence the drawing which was base on a prompt that mentioned her 'politely' asking a bird to stop singing so that she can sleep.

I may have forgotten the 'politely' part...

The bird is shocked that a cat can understand and communicate with it and fears the implications.

Side note: Premafrostkit asked Freezekit whether or not they'll end up as siblings that bicker with each other and hate each other and even fight against each other! Freezekit quickly promises she'll not let that happen to their relationship and Premafrostkit swears to it.

<< Premafrost: "Borealisfur!"

Borealisfur (he/him): ʱªʱªʱª(ᕑᗢूᓫ∗) >>

Borealisfur, oh Borealisfur. Borealis was the sibling that Freeze didn't like due to his manipulative and uptight attitude. In fact, the comet moth wing he wears is one of the many gifts that cats have showered him with when he was a kit.

To make matters worse, he was mentored by Tadpolesnow (he/him), Tangle's mate and the deputy that Freeze looked up do. That officially made them rivels (｀^ ´) Thankfully, Freeze graduated first.

Borealis has loosen up from his more attention hogging kit-hood (in game traits are 'adventurous' and 'pathfinder') and he and Freeze have a more friendly rivalry type of sibling relationship: Willing to pick on each other but not wishing any true ill intent.

Here, after Freezestrike points out that Premafrost does not have a spider on her tail, Premafrost is calling Borealis out for his bullshit while he enjoys himself.

Side note: I intentionally tried to make Borealishfur look like a Freezestrike doppelgänger by having them share similar traits such as limb fur and flopped ears.

Freezestrike and Snowflakefrond (he/him) chat about the ownership of a bug :-)

Snowflakefrond is the most recent healer of SongClan. As per tradition, he wears a type of plant of him, which, in his case, is some mistletoe. Snowflake's traits are 'troublesome', 'philosopher' and 'dog-whisperer' and his mentor was actually Antlershock.

Honestly, I don't focus much on Snowflake and he is more of a background character but, via traits only, he is an interesting character.

A redraw of some in-game patrol art, featuring a slightly redesigned Rivernose that actually features her lime bow that I forgot to draw last time (;ﾞ°´ω°´) !

Behind her is Borealis and, in front, a new face ᵔ ᴥ ᵔ Howlpaw (she/her) was a kit that Freeze and Parsley found alongside another cat (I forgot who). I would have made them adopt her if it we've for the fact that a., Both Freeze and Parsley were very young (not even 2 years old) and not mates yet and b., Howl was 5 moons old and about to be apprenticed. Not saying it's impossible to adopt at that age but I didn't see the point.

I believe Howl was 7 moons old at this point.

Next moon, finally! As well as the first appearance of Parsley's and Rowan's littermate (the last of the trio), Riftbillow (he/him)!

Rift's arrogant personality clashes with Freeze's so he doesn't like him but we tolerate him because he is practically family. Ironically, when I went to insult him one time, Rift mentioned how all the cats here are apart of a clan so therefore he and Freeze should put aside their differences and I can't help but find that slightly funny as well as shocking.

Rift also has the trait 'guardian' and has a worm friend that is not drawn here. The flower he is wearing is a morning glory gifted to him by Rivernose.

In the above picture, Freezestrike had observed Rowaneyes' talking Riftbillow's ears off but he isn't snapping back, just carrying on with his day disgruntle.
