And this scene happened right after Katsuki's big epiphany moment when he realized that he actually cares about Deku and that he never actually hated him and deep down he's scared for him...tears in my Bakudeku eyes my dudes

Like y'all, read this chapter and you'll understand why Bakugo always acted the way that he did with Deku. It was never about hating him, he just has a fucking mini panic every single time others almost realize that he actually cares much more than they think he does, and he goes "oop, they almost saw my weak, caring side...welp, gotta balance it out and do something that an ass like me would do, that way they won't question it and they'll think they just imagined it-"

For the ask game, AU where Izuku is low key embarrassed of his uncle because he is so beautiful he keeps accidentally seducing everyone he meets, please. (Yoichi reserves the not accidental seduction for his husbands.)

Heh I love this one:

1. Hisashi and Inko are business partners who often travel for work, so they leave Izuku to stay with his three uncles: Yoichi, Second (Kaiji), and Third (Sanzou). Izuku doesn't mind because he loves his uncles, but man does he ever hate going outside with Uncle Yoichi. Because it's nothing but trouble! Every time they go out, Yoichi gets approached by modeling agents, every shop gives them discounts, and people take pictures in public. To Izuku's great annoyance, people keep mistaking his uncle for his older brother. Furthermore, Yoichi attracts every train molester, flasher, stalker, and kidnapper. Izuku carries a taser to handle all of them. He's appointed himself as bodyguard because he believes that his air-headed, beautiful uncle is way too clueless, defenseless, and prone to giving people the benefit of the doubt.

2. Over the years, Izuku has developed an itchy trigger finger with the taser and a policy of preemptive strikes towards anyone who looks at Yoichi wrong. Izuku has been capturing perverts and taking them to the police since elementary school. In middle school he tasered Re-Destro from behind for trying to kidnap his uncle (without knowing who he was). Izuku got a medal for taking down such a dangerous villain.

3. Izuku also dislikes how everyone treats him differently after meeting his uncle. He's dealt with bullying issues in the past because of his quirklessness. But as soon as they lay eyes on his uncle, his teachers rush to favor him and even the other kids try to befriend him to have an excuse to come over to his house and gawk. Izuku hates the fakeness even more than the bullying.

4. Katsuki Bakugo is the first person Izuku ever met who didn't go gah-gah over his uncle and Izuku really appreciates how Katsuki doesn't treat him any differently. (Katsuki is not immune, he's just too stubborn to show it. As a result, he tries to avoid Izuku and whatever weirdness is going on around him.) In this AU, Katsuki's bullying got cut off very early on because all of Izuku's teachers intensely favor him. In fact, Izuku's teachers make excuses to come over to his house for frequent parent-teacher conferences specifically during the times when he lives with his uncles. It annoys Izuku that Yoichi does not seem to realize these conferences are unnecessary and can happily talk about his cute nephew all day.

5. Yoichi constantly causes gay/bisexual awakenings in everyone he meets, including women who discover they like women after meeting him. Don't question how that works.

6. Izuku also hates how when he goes out in public with all three of his uncles, people whisper behind their backs about how Kaiji and Sanzou aren't handsome enough for Yoichi. Strangers are disrespectful enough to hit on Yoichi in front of his partners and tell him that he could do better. Kaiji and Sanzou are very secure and just laugh it off. Izuku "accidentally" tasers the rudest ones.

7. Izuku's also embarrassed because Uncle Yoichi dotes on him in public, which attracts attention to him. A lot of suitors see playing nice with Izuku as their "in" with Yoichi or think they will impress Yoichi by showing off how good they are with kids.

8. On the bright side, Yoichi gets lots of hero autographs for Izuku. (Any autograph Izuku wants, including villain autographs.) Izuku assumes that this is because even people in the hero industry can't resist his uncle's smile. He's right, but he doesn't know the whole story.

9. Yoichi is a famous villain. All the heroes and villains alike are infatuated with his alter ego. In this AU, Izuku's entire family is full of villains: Inko is a villain and All for One's business partner, which is why she goes away with her husband on business trips frequently. Kaiji and Sanzou are also villains. Izuku has no idea.

10. Izuku also doesn't know that his uncles ruined lives of everyone who bullied him in past. The perverts who get tasered by Izuku are the lucky ones. You don’t want to know what Yoichi does to perverts who harass him when he’s out alone.

I literally saw this guy on tiktok (his name is Andrew or something I think?) who analyzes mha a lot and like. He basically has the take that Izuku is oober underdeveloped and that he has “a bunch of cool concepts, but not enough evaluating on said concepts” and it’s like, wow. Izuku becomes a much more boring character when you stop analyzing all of the queer subtext around his character.

Because how do straight fans analyze togadeku parallels? Do they just pretend they don’t exist? Like??????

And it’s like crazy to me when people are like “no I love this character/ship” and then understand none of the appeal of said character or ship and just. Make something up with a bunch of fanon stereotypes.

It’s like, you can’t talk about the toxic masculinity without talking about the internalized homophobia, because Izuku thinks that romance is stupid because romance = homosexual thoughts and girly innocence to him. He thinks of it so simplistically.

And you can’t talk about toga without talking about how much she reflects Izuku and Ochako, because she represents love in the series. Like tf do they think that even means???? How do you even LIKE TOGA and not like her narrative purpose and contrast to the normal possessive yandere tropes, her queer coded story, her saying that she “finally found love”.

Like how do you like mha and complain about trivial things like how there wasn’t more of a scene of Katsuki grabbing allmight. There wasn’t enough of a fight, apparently.

But this chapter isn’t ABOYT the fight, it’s about Izuku’s worry, Katsuki saving to win, the hope and the symbol of allmight—allmight isn’t being saved yet????!!!?????????!?!??!

And, supposedly, bkdk’s interest as a relationship is also one sided because no one stops to think as to whether Izuku’s thoughts and pov not being voiced was a conscious choice??? Like ofc it was, and you don’t even realize why without seeing it as a way to diverge from announcing his queer gay thoughts until the end. It’s a REVEAL. THIS IS A REVEAL YALL. HES BEING INSANE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE HES BOTTLED IT UP FROM THE CHARACTERS IN THE STORY AND US, THE AUDIENCE.

One of Midoriya “Deku” Izuku’s first friends (the first real one, to be exact), training to be a hero alongside the rest of her class. Despite her character arc and evolution of goals, which tie in strongly with the themes of the series, fans view her as an “obstacle” because of her canonical crush on Izuku. As a result, fan works pairing Izuku with a guy minimize the positive impact she’s had on his life and diminish her role, with some even demonizing her and turning her into a jealous bitch to justify Izuku not dating her. The simple possession of a crush has lead to her being overlooked and mistreated by the fandom, such as the common take she’s had no growth since the obtainment of her crush (feelings she actively pushes to the side as to not possibly create a distraction from her goals). These takes are accompanied by claims her character solely revolves around Izuku, ignoring the fact that many other guy characters have their characters revolve around him, some even more than her. 

Shes literally so fucking cool and passionate and she has a genuinely interesting place in the setting and YET she is constantly sidelined by both the show and the fandom in favor of her canonical love interest/main character and i'm going to be mad about it forever. 90% of the time is should she date the MC, or just that shes "a queen" or "a girlboss". Bc who cares about her growing up in poverty or her relationship with her parents or interest in rescue work? All that matters is that shes not a threat to YOUR favorite MLM ship but dw! Also explains, a bit, why Saori was ostracized where Nobara may have lacked understanding/context.

Eijirou Kirishima is almost so straight that he unintentionally makes a hard U-turn into flirting with queerness. His phrasing is baffling as he tends to pop up in those threads frequently with assumingly unintended innuendos but it is also reminiscent about how no one third wheels harder than a dude's girlfriend when he's with his best friend? I don't know if that makes sense but I'm throwing him in the mix as someone who maybe just needs some time ✨ regardless of the BakuDeku to KiriMina parallels.

Denki Kaminari - This kid has eyes and he uses them, gender be damned. A bi-disaster if I've ever seen one.

Minoru Mineta - IDK if his Deku confession was a translation faux pas or if Mineta, too, has fallen for the male lead's quintessential charm that wins over hearts and minds. While the Council on Bisexuality would fight me on this one... his membership is still pending.

Izuku Midoriya - I have it on good authority that Izuku is Bakusexual. Flustered by girls in the same way that any awkward and bullied kid might when encountering the opposite sex but his heart has always had its allegiance to one person. Whether that makes him gay, demi or even bi, I think it tracks.

Katsuki Bakugo - bi, pan or gay, the consensus is he is Not Straight.

Obviously not canon and never will be but oh does this ship have a chokehold on me. I just think this trio is so balanced in every way. Like we have our precious TodoDeku who connect by being nerds and the sweetest boys. Then we also have TodoBaku who are just lovely little menaces. And, of course, BakuDeku--can't beat friends to enemies to lovers. And then they all come together to form a masterpiece. Idk I just love this ship so much.

BakuDeku (My Hero Academia)

So I honestly really wasn't into this ship too much until reading the final war arc and meta. Other people's viewpoints changed my mind! Hori has done a really great job of portraying BakuDeku's complex relationship in the manga (for however you view their canon relationship). So like idk how can I not ship For-the-Rest-of-Our-Lives Katsuki with Control-Your-Heart Izuku?

Sidenote: I almost didn't include this on the list because I tend to only really ship this pair while reading the manga. I never shipped them in the anime unless it was TodoBakuDeku with Deku as a hinge. And I don't even read many fics with just Katsuki and Izuku. I just feel like fandom BakuDeku feels incomplete without Shouto for some reason. Like I'm Team BakuDeku for the manga, Team hinge TodoBakuDeku in the anime, but throuple TodoBakuDeku in the sanctuary of my mind/on ao3. (Maybe that'll change once I start watching Season 7 though.)

Katsuki and Izuku character analysis

this is very unformatted and ugly and apart of a larger essay i wrote a while back but i really wanted to share my thoughts on bkdk

this is also largely?? speculation (as i’ve been told by some) but i believe it has a fair bit of canon backing it up

Ok now Katsuki on the other hand had to step into Deku and get closer to grow. He never hated Deku, he was envious of how naturally heroic Deku was. Katsuki hated himself, never Deku, and he felt weak because he was weak, mentally.

Deku just happened to be the physical representation of that weakness because while he was physically weak, Deku was stronger mentally than Katsuki will ever be. That’s why he called Deku useless, it was him projecting. That’s why he was so shaken at Deku vs Kacchan 1, because Deku was overcoming their physical disparity and Katsuki was still left in the dust feeling weak, which is why Deku vs Katsuki 2 happened after All Might fell. He felt his weakness was responsible for the end of All Might and hated himself even more for that, and in turn he fought Deku even more. But at Deku vs Katsuki 2 he learned to embrace that weakness and deal with it WITH Deku, because Deku was the original source of where that initial weakness feeling came from, it only makes sense for him to be the “cure” for it too. Katsuki also doesn’t understand his own emotions or knows how to deal with them, so that’s why he masks it all with anger because he sees anything else as weakness because Deku was constantly expressing everything but anger and he saw Deku as weak (physically) so he associated most emotions with weakness. Thats also why it’s so important his first action of pure heroism with no ulterior motives was for Deku, jumping in front of OFA/Shigaraki’s creepy finger thingies to prevent Deku from being stabbed. Doing this was him getting over that weakness (also why people say Katsuki grew softer while Izuku grew angrier). Him nearly dying for Deku was the ultimate show of character growth because it proved he could get over himself, his mental weakness, and his feelings surrounding Deku to throw himself away to save him. It’s also why Katsuki’s “death” is PEAK KATSUKI. He 100% went into that battle knowing it was most likely a suicide mission you CANNOT TELL ME OTHERWISE, he was completely focused on stalling for Deku because he finally realized he could accept Deku’s help and he didn’t have to do everything by himself. That’s also why he was so upset when he learned Deku lost OFA, because since he was a baby Deku has been the one thing consistent in his life, every major milestone Deku was there watching From The Sidelines (hehe), whether he liked it or not. Deku is his constant, and he kind of has trouble functioning without him. In short he really needs therapy.

also Katsuki never stopped being friends bc of Deku’s lack of a quirk, he stopped being friends because even though Deku was powerless he was still everything Katsuki wasn’t, a true genuine hero, and he took his help as mocking because that was the one thing he could never beat Deku in, or understand about him. That’s also why Katsuki has wet dreams about that god forsaken river scene because it literally changed his life

also he hated Deku at the river scene bc blah blah weakness he hates weakness blah blah Deku was the personification of Katsuki’s own weakness blah blah gay shit inferiority complexes

He LITERALLY needed to get closer to Deku to flourish because Deku is his weakness

And overcoming his “hatred” for Deku was him overcoming his self loathing and inferiority complex

Katsuki is also Deku’s weakness. Deku also really needs Katsuki. For most of his life Katsuki was the dream he could never have, complete power, confidence, and amazing. That is genuinely the only reason he sat watching From The Sidelines (im so funny i know) for so long, despite all the bullying and hurt Katsuki caused him. That’s also why it was really important for him to prove to Katsuki that he could for once hold his own against him in Deku vs Katsuki 1, it was like him coming out and saying “you have to acknowledge me now.” It’s also why Katsuki being taken by the LOV was just literally the worst for Deku, because Katsuki is also Deku’s constant. He’s been watching him for forever, and been in every major milestone in HIS life. Removing Katsuki from the equation is like having carpet pulled from under his feet, breaking all his bones in the fall, and being told to walk again. That’s also why he repeatedly looses control when it comes to Katsuki. First when Monoma insulted him, it was also like insulting Deku because that was someone he looked towards and followed and rooted for, and it was an insult to everything Katsuki stood for and because Deku is the ultimate hero he just couldn’t sit by and stand for that. When he lost control again at Katsuki’s death it was Deku seeing (again) everything he rooted for, strength and victory personified, literally dead. He also relies on Katsuki in the same way Katsuki relies on him, and having that taken away from him was like removing all his bones. Deku is the heart, the lungs, the brain, and Katsuki is the muscle, the bones, the cartilage. They help each other function

For the five ask game, if that's still going on, how about an iideku au where OFA ships them?

Torn between thinking this means the vestiges ship them, or that it means the quirk itself is a very excitable puppy dog that wants Tenya around as much as possible...

1- Tenya did not make a great first impression on 5/7.5 vestiges. Kudo and Bruce were like 'let 👏 him 👏 speak 👏' because they do, you know, kinda think Izuku's annoying but they sorta all did a 180° turn about him after the exam when Tenya apologized and praised Izuku's choice. Most of them like him. Bruce and Kudo are wondering how this kid keeps getting people to decide to like him after all.

2- OfA reacts differently under Izuku's hands, but he never realizes it because he assumes it's his own emotions and projecting. Yeah, his quirk feels jumpy and volatile around Kacchan like he could set it off and blow up his arm too easily, and fun and bubbly around Uraraka who's sure he'll figure out how to use it soon, and ok Izuku isn't sure why OfA races up to his skin faster around Iida, pushy, but maybe it's because he feels competitive with his friend.

3- The vestiges are actually in agreement for once when Izuku looks at Tenya at the train station. That Kid Is Going To Try To Commit Murder (and probably die in the attempt). "Is that what I looked like the last time you saw me alive?" Kudo asks Bruce. "No. But it's what I looked like to Shinomori." They want to help him. They want Izuku to help him. Kudo asks if she and her husband were high school sweethearts to have such optimistic expectation of such a relationship, but Banjo says that dang it, Izuku at least deserves boyfriend even if they split after school, and Yoichi who has little concept of school and had a max relationship length of two months just wants them to confess already. Tenya's admiration is clear to everyone in Izuku's head except Izuku, and they can feel the boy's heartbeat in return. But sadly, they can't do anything while Izuku can't hear them... But, once he can...

5- "Good job training today, you'll master Float as soon as it comes to you at this rate!" Nana cheers Izuku in his dreams. He blushes, still unable to talk in the fog, but they figured out how to have him write in a notebook while he's there. "Hey, you know, White Day is coming up. Any plans? I can help you make something." Izuku raises his eyebrows because he's been warned Nana is a bit of a lethal chef, and also he's already made plans to make chocolate in return for his classmates, and more than triple the chocolate covered apple slices Eri was so excited to present him with a month ago. "I mean, other than Eri and the courtesy chocolate. Any confession plans?" Izuku starts waving his hands because he didn't get any confession chocolate and haha, why would he need to give any now, and En just sighs and breaks in with a "they need a third day for gay chocolate, bet Iida-kun would have made something for you then."

Izuku is eventually cajoled into making some orange chocolate treats for Tenya, only because he'd have plausible deniability that he just wanted to gift to his friends, but then Tenya presents him with All Might shaped chocolates and admits that maybe they are not purely platonic but that he still highly values Midoriya's friendship and would never mention the feelings again if he didn't want them and completely understands rejection and truly he- wait he didn't get rejected? Wait, it's the same for Midoriya? Both of them are very red, but happy. They don't really change much, neither is one for pda and calling each other their boyfriend feels like A Lot, but they do share food more often and move to calling each other by their given name in a manner that is adorably both shy and excited. But ah, we're halfway through March, and at the end of the month...

A couple weeks later, Izuku tapes letters to the doors of his classmates, then packs a bag to go, not planning on returning to the dorms again. He picks up the little bag of All Might chocolates that he'd slowly been going through. There's only two left. He slips them into the side pocket of his bag, then slips himself out of his window and down the building to leave campus, the vestiges silent around him and his quirk burning to go back when he can't.

- Reduce amount of students in 1-A. I realized that I can't handle 20+ main characters lol. My original idea was 5, but I've got it down to 10 by fusing characters. Izuku, Aoyama, Uraraka, Shoto, and Bakugo remain the same. I'm going to review the fusions and draw them later...

Fusions:

Sero/Kaminari/Kirishima (Reason: I get them mixed up a lot.)

Iida/Momo/Ojiro (Rich kid + I like Ojiro)

Jiro/Tokoyami/Shoji (Characters with a "dark vibe" ((emo lol)))

Mina/Tsu (I'd feel bad having one and not the other)

Koda/Sato (Honestly they're here because they're the ones I think of when I think "they got shoved aside" as well as Ojiro but I like him more.) ((... Also combine their names and you get Soda....))

Most likely to be cut: Ojiro, Sato, Koda, Sero

Cut: Mineta (Obvious reasons), Hagakure (I couldn't think of anything)

I swear there's logic here but I'm unable to explain it better lol. I'm eepy.

- Bakugo will be expelled from UA in the first arc, perhaps that'll be the conclusion of it. Possibly return in a later arc, I'm thinking the vigilante arc? Minor character. Basically a starter antagonist before the stakes ramp up.

(Results in the same amount of students as OFA users! Which I think is a nice parallel.)

- First arc will be about the class bonding since I really wanted more 1-A bonding scenes. Mainly about them helping each other. (I. E. Izuku opening up about being bullied, the class helping Shoto with the Endeavor situation, etc.) Bakugo's role will be getting in the way of this. Minor antagonist.

- LOV shouldn't be introduced until after a bond is established. Sorry Shiggy my beloved, you must wait.

- All for One dies in Kamino equivalent. (Unsure of how to set this up w/o Bakugo, maybe Midoriya's the one kidnapped?) Sorry AFO I love you so so much, but I'm killing you off. You're op as hell and the kill should be All Might's. You can come back and possess people later if you're good.

- DFO will be there as well as reducing the role AFO played in Shigaraki's backstory. Increase the role in Midoriya's life (negative).

- Aizawa will have a bit of a tweak, he'll be less physically violent with the students. (Less scarf grabby, only in extreme circumstances) Also I think having a lasting injury from the Oboro incident would be a nice touch. Give him a House MD vibe with a cane??? God I fucking loved House. Gay and homophobic, what an icon.

- Eventually I want Endeavor to go to prison or face some form of consequence. Maybe death. I was also thinking about him being tricked into helping AFO out of desperation for that number one spot. Bakugo takes his place for redemption arc?

- I don't really want to kill Midnight off... Or Twice... Or like. Any of the LOV. Need to think about that... But I know Twice's death was very important, so I might have to get over it somehow.

Not saying there won't be death, it just has to make more sense to me.

Wrote most of this at 2 am lol so this is probably incoherent. It's not a critique of the series, it's just my idea for the au. Like I get that classes have like 20 people in them. And that characters die. That villains die even if they're children.

I think if I plan this in arcs, I'll have the best chance of finishing it.

Wouldn't the Todoroki drama be more strained due to his pr team? Yeah we joked that they suck and we discussed Natsuo's very bad experience with them. But you mentioned how they are very much pushing a certain "traditional family values" look on Enji. Meaning that the only look his kids see when not irl is very much biased and untrue. But the kids can't really get confirmation either way.

Oh yeah it's. It's a combination of things!

Enji himself is. He's kinda lost in his headspace and incredibly busy so a lot of the fatherly things he ends up doing are more.... bare minimum going through the motions. Make sure the kids are fed and bathed and do their chores and that they're doing well in school and discipline them when they break the rules and all that, but rarely having time to properly do things like family movie night or any talking like- like people. This was mitigated more when Rei was around, but then her mental health declined and she wasn't doing as much and now she's not doing jack because she's in the hospital(I don't mean this as a dunk her health is important too).

And then yeah there is. There is the bad shit he's doing. Whether it be things he is actively like 'I know on some level this is fucked but *insert justification here*' or the 'doesn't realize that this was bad because that's how he was raised and clearly he doesn't have childhood truama(YEAH ABOUT THAT-)!'. Either way it has a negative impact on the kids, which in turn effects their perception of him.

There's also a lot of half-truths where the kids know some information but don't have all of the context, like everything going on with Rei.

You also have the different kids and their own perceptions. Toya and Fuyumi are old enough to have genuine good and happy memories while Natsuo and Shoto aren't. And Toya's good memories get tainted by later traumas so he thinks it was all either fake or just 'dad's goals coincidentally was something that made me happy as a kid'. And I'm gonna bring it up later but in Road to Hell I dragged Selkie into this and yeah there's going to be a falling out there so while Toya and Fuyumi remember him being basically their uncle, Shoto definitely doesn't(Natsuo is up in the air rn).

The PR Team stuff is mixed in to that. Even though the kids don't go actively looking online for stuff about their dad(they did that once, discovered the fanfic sites, and tried to induce amnesia). But they do still run across that sort of stuff. And yeah the PR Team is cultivating the image they want/what they /think/ Endeavor wants for himself. Which yeah is something the kids don't feel safe and comfortable with when it comes to things like being gay.

And like. On the Mutation Quirks. I have a plan for a conversation where Shoto says something casual like about it with the class and it's Izuku who kinda goes 'Actually that sounds odd'. (Because ofc while he has his obvious favorite he knows a LOT of obscure facts about a lot of active Heroes especially ones like Endeavor who are a big name.) And he elaborates on this in a 'if we're gonna hate him we hate him for the right reasons' by saying that he's aware on how it's harder to find nowadays but you can find older video clips where he shuts down assholes talking Anti-Mutation sentiments.

Then ofc the big thing with the PR team which very much colors Natsuo's perception and he might've told Fuyumi and Shoto about that which. Fuyumi doubts it but Shoto would believe it.

So yeah it's. There's. There's so much going on and there's definitely a lot that Enji did wrong but there's also stuff that was kinda out of his hands.

|Lines Aren't the Only Thing I'll be Picking Up|

!(M/n) and Katsuki aren't dating yet in this side story!

(I got all of these cringy pickup lines from Google because I couldn't think of any myself. Also, this is really stupid and makes no sense.)

!CRINGE WARNING!

My mind was foggy when I woke up, and I realized I was in my dorm. I couldn't remember anything.

The last memory I had was of me patrolling with Izuku and Togata senpai earlier and now... nothing.

But, somehow I had an irresistible urge to say stupid things. I got up slowly because I was a bit dizzy, and walked to my bathroom. When I looked at my reflection, something was off, but I couldn't pinpoint what, so I just shrugged it off and walked out.

Going down to the first floor, I saw everyone coming in with their uniforms on. So class was already over, eh?

"Oh, (M/n)! You woke up!" Izuku walked towards me and I smiled a bit, stepping forward.

Only to fall in front of him.

"Eek?! Are you okay?!" Izuku knelt beside me and I just looked up at him.

And well, my mouth moved on its own. "Are you French? Because Eiffel for you."

Izuku stared at me for a moment before his entire face went red and he began stuttering like crazy.

After that little scene I caused, Aizawa came here because everyone called him, and he explained to me what had happened earlier.

"The quirk user said something about a physical form that shows how long it takes for the effects to wear off." He looked down at my left wrist, where I had noticed a black bracelet with a white 19 was glowing. "Everything he says will be a pick-up line, so he won't be able to have a normal conversation until it reaches 0."

"So, basically, he has to say nineteen more pick-up lines?" Aizawa nodded and I heard my classmates whispering behind me.

"It would occur spontaneously, so be careful, guys."

Shouto was sitting on the couch in the common room peacefully reading a book, and I couldn't resist standing behind him, bending over a bit and whispering in his ear.

"If you were a library book, I would check you out." The poor boy erupted in flames and had to be taken off the couch before he would burn it to ashes.

Right after I heard Izuku naming All Might's moves, specifically the Textas Smash, a smile crept up my face.

"Are you from Tennessee? 'Cause you're the only 10 I see." I heard some grunts but I just laughed, and Izuku blushed again.

She's really pretty. If I didn't like Katsuki, I would fall in love with her.

"I like that one!" She exclaimed as everyone stared at us, and Jiro repeated what I said, Uraraka and Mina laughing too, along with Sero, Kaminari, Kirishima, Ojiro and Mineta.

I walked into the kitchen, where Sato was baking a cake.

"Are you cake? 'Cause I want a piece of that." He jumped slightly and glanced at me, laughing when I made eye contact.

"Oh, (L/n) it was just you. Here," he gave me a bowl with whipped cream, "You can eat that, I forgot to add sugar to that one." I smiled and bowed at him, holding the spatula inside the bowl and eating it.

So fluffy.

"You haven't had your first kiss yet, Sero?" The tape guy shook his head and chuckled.

"It's not that important anyway, guys," I smirked unconsciously and leaned down to him, bending to his ear.

"Are you going to kiss me or do I have to lie to my diary?" He choked and I walked away laughing like a maniac.

It was the end of the day, and Katsuki dragged me to his room to play video games for a while, hoping that I would shut up for a bit.

But right as I sat down beside him, the temperature in the room seemed to rise.

"Is it hot in here or is it just you?"

Katsuki froze in front of his TV and glanced at me over his shoulder, growling and making explosions.

"Can you shut up already with those shitty pick-up lines, asshole?!"

"If looks could kill, you'd be a weapon of mass destruction." Katsuki scoffed and sat down beside me, grabbing a controller and handing it to me.

"That's more accurate, idiot." Katsuki yawned and rested back for a bit. "I'm tired..."

"Have you been to the doctor lately? 'Cause I think you're lacking some vitamin me." He whined and covered his face with a cushion.

"You're making me have a migraine, (M/n), shut up already." He turned his head to look at me and his tired-angry expression made me sigh.

"Wow, when God made you he was showing off," he stared at me with wide eyes and a cute blush on his cheeks, before getting up with an exhausted sigh.

Katsuki got up, "I'm going to the bathroom."

"Is that a mirror in your pocket? 'Cause I see myself in your pants." Katsuki was making tiny explosions and he turned abruptly, stomping towards me.

"Why are you talking about my pants and ass right now?!" He held his palms close to my face and I chuckle.

"What has 36 teeth and holds back the Incredible Hulk?" He made a 'Huh?' noise and I smirked, "My zipper."

Katsuki's face erupted in flames and he ran to the bathroom, making me laugh for a bit at his reaction.

After some minutes, Katsuki came out, his hand pushing his hair back. "Am I in a museum? Because you are a piece of art." His crimson eyes glared at me and he grabbed my arm, making me get up from his couch.

"Get out, we are not playing anything, I remembered I have homework to do," another chance...

"I know you're busy today, but can you add me to your to-do list?" He looked down and kept pulling me to his bedroom door.

"Stop with the pick-up lines, I'm sick already." Katsuki opened the door, but I kept it open before he pushed me out.

I had to make this one worth it...

"I've been wondering..." Katsuki stopped and looked me in the eyes, "Do your lips taste as good as they look?" I raised my hand to caress his cheek, stroking his bottom lip while I couldn't help but stare at them.

He blushed again, "D-don't say things y-you don't mean..." I released my arm from his grasp and cupped his face with my palms.

"Who said I didn't mean it, Katsuki?" I heard him gulp hard and his eyes looked away.

"Why don't you find out on your own, then...?" His crimson eyes travelled back up to meet my (e/c) ones and I smiled.

I held his face sweetly and stepped closer to him, leaning down to his height and right as I was about to kiss, I saw his eyes close, making me bite my lip trying to hold back a big smile. "I love you, Katsuki..."

I whispered against his lips, before pressing mine on them. Katsuki sighed and his arms wrapped themselves around my shoulders, pulling me down more. One of my hands travelled down to hold his waist as I stepped forward, making Katsuki walk back and I closed the door behind us, I made us walk to his bed, where I slowly pushed down on it, getting on top of him and ending our kiss.

Katsuki was gasping and completely embarrassed. His entire face was flushed.

"Are you..." he swallowed and held my face, "... done with the pick-up lines?" I looked towards my left wrist, where the bracelet had reached its countdown, showing signs of fading. And I nodded at him.

"But there's one more I want to say..." he groaned and whined.

"Oh god no..." he covered his eyes with his forearm and I reached down to his ear.

"Do you like sales? Because if you're looking for a good one, clothes are 100% off at my place." Katsuki gasped when he felt my fingers under his shirt, lifting it slowly.

He squirmed a bit but when I graced his nipple his mouth opened with a cute moan, "Gaah~"

"Are you raisin? Cause you're raising my dick." He froze and slowly moved his arm away, sitting up slightly and looking down at me.

"(M/n)!" He grabbed his pillow and hid his face with it, I chucked and decided to stop my teasing.

I lay between his legs, my head on his chest and I wrapped his waist with my arms. "I love my bed, but I rather be in yours."

"Why...?" I stared up at him as he moved the pillow aside, and I smiled pecking his lips.

"Because you're in it, Katsuki."

He stared at me and then whined, "Let's sleep, okay?" He closed his eyes, but after a few seconds, they opened again. "I forgot to turn off the console."

Instead of any of us getting up he texted Eijiro, who observed us lying together before smiling happily.

"Did you finally confess, Bakugou?" I looked at the blond, who was stuttering and blushing.

"I did it, with a pick-up line. A really good one too." Katsuki looked towards the wall, avoiding our staring and growled.

"Turn the damn thing off before I kick both of you out of my room," Eijiro laughed and did so, bidding us a 'Good night'.

"You didn't drag me here to play video games, did you?" After a few seconds, he mumbled a tiny and cute 'no'.

"I was jealous," but before I could make a big deal out of it, he held my face and kissed me, leaving me speechless. "Now, shut up and sleep already."

My head was pushed down to his chest again, where I could hear his heartbeat going back to its steady and normal pace, but I wasn't happy with that. "Katsuki..."

"Yeah?"

"I love you." And his heart began racing, pounding aggressively against my ear, and that made me sigh, "Much better."

Not On His Agenda

Izuku is more than familiar with being in an abusive relationship. Growing up quirkless and being a big target for people to prey on was all Izuku knew. He saw the best in people, but when someone gave him a reason not to trust him, Izuku automatically shut down. Why fight for someone that wouldn’t fight for him?

Izuku saw a message from his current girlfriend. They had been dating for nearly six months. This was Izuku’s first girlfriend, so most of this relationship was Izuku learning. He was trying to figure out what it was like to be with a girl.

Izuku was familiar with guys and what to look for, considering he had three ex-boyfriends. There was one common thing between boys and girls that Izuku now knew. There was one thing you never want to hear from your partner.

We need to talk.

Izuku had a good feeling he was going to be dumped. He didn’t change recently and hasn’t seen any noticeable change in his girlfriend. If he hadn’t noticed anything, then he either deserved to be dumped or the girl was playing with his feelings. If he ended up not getting dumped, he’d enjoy spending time with his girlfriend who he truly cared for.

Pushing open the door to the school, Izuku was expecting to meet his girlfriend and a second location, but instead, she was waiting for him outside his school.

Izuku was beyond confused about how she already was at his school but chose to ignore the strange fact. Instead, he approached her with a soft smile.

“Kiko, what did you need to talk to me about?” inquired Izuku, clearly concerned about what was happening. It was clearly big enough of a deal for her to show up at his school.

Kiko frowned despite her attempts to keep a neutral expression. Izuku and Kiko had made their way past the main gate and headed over to get some privacy.

While Izuku’s back was facing everyone exiting Aldera, Kiko had a clear view of the people that were eavesdropping. Kiko immediately recognized them as her boyfriend's bullies.

“We should break up,” stated Kiko plainly, getting straight to the point.

Izuku’s eyes widened slightly. He had anticipated being dumped, but it didn’t make it hurt any less. While he wanted to ask her why, cry, and beg for her love, he knew better. People loved a show and it was clear Kiko wanted a performance. She purposefully went to his school rather than meeting him somewhere more private where he wouldn’t be surrounded by people who knew him.

In his past relationships, getting emotional did nothing good. His ex-boyfriends always had something they were expecting when they dumped him. His first boyfriend, Masutaro, dated him simply to mess with Izuku. When Masutaro broke up with Izuku, he wanted Izuku to cry and beg for him. Izuku gave him exactly what he wanted.

Izuku’s second ex, Kichibei, had been the most abusive. Kichibei wanted full control of Izuku and he had succeeded.

Izuku spent more time with Kichibei than he did with his own mother. Kichibei made Izuku delete all social media and, as a result, Izuku lost all his online friends.

When Kichibei had enough and broke up with Izuku, Izuku was fully dependent on the boy. Kichibei didn’t tolerate Izuku’s pleas and it resulted in Izuku coming home black and blue.

Izuku's third boyfriend, Ryoko, had been a genuinely perfect boy. Unfortunately, Ryoko started to get bullied when he got caught being with Izuku. Being gay and dating a quirkless boy was a double kill.

Ryoko couldn’t handle it and dumped Izuku. Ryoko was desperate to gain back some of his friends and status so he spread a bunch of rumors about Izuku and mocked how Izuku reacted to being dumped.

“Okay,” replied Izuku, putting up no fight.

Izuku soon realized that the best thing he could do is remain calm and accept reality. He wasn’t wanted anymore and there was no reason for him to force someone to love him.

Kiko didn’t like the reaction she got, her cheeks heating up at his nonchalant response. She was even more embarrassed to see Izuku’s bullies’ reactions.

Katsuki was front and center, a smirk on his face upon hearing the girl dump Izuku. Hifumi, the boy with a long-finger quirk, covered his mouth to suppress his laughter when he realized that they were going to watch Izuku and this strange girl break up.

Teijo, the guy with super spikey teeth for a quirk, was more intrigued than entertained. He had no clue Izuku had an active dating life so to see Izuku getting dumped was shocking.

The three teens stood nearby, now stunned to hear Izuku’s response to being dumped. While they couldn’t see his expression, his tone told them everything they needed to know. Izuku’s okay was oddly cold and accepting. He clearly wasn’t too hung up on being dumped from the sounds of it. They wanted to laugh at the girl's embarrassed expression.

“Okay?” remarked the girl, attitude clear in the single word.

“Okay,” repeated Izuku, having nothing else to really say to the girl. If he had it his way, he’d be walking away. Yet here Izuku stood, waiting for the girl to speak up and say what she clearly wanted to say.

“Just like that?’ whispered the girl, debating whether to whip up some crocodile tears or yell. She walked into this expecting to come out on top, but now she desperately wanted Izuku to pretend he cared about her.

Izuku crossed his arms, shifting his weight from his left foot to his right. He didn’t want to play her game. If she was expecting a reaction from him, he wanted to hear it come from her mouth. “What do you want me to do?”

Hifumi’s eyes went wide, lightly smacking Teijo’s arm in disbelief. “Holy shit dude.”

“What the hell is Deku doing,” grumbled Katsuki, unable to comprehend the actions of Izuku. This wasn’t the Izuku he knew.

Kiko went red in the face, choosing to yell as her hands balled into fists at her sides. “I don’t know! I just wasn’t expecting okay.” She snobbishly mocked Izuku and used air quotes to further exaggerate the situation.

Katsuki, Teijo, and Hifumi choked back laughter at Kiko’s immature attitude. Seeing her throw a mini-tantrum was hilarious. What made things even funnier was how little Izuku cared.

Izuku called Kiko out, tilting his head to the side. “What, you want me to plead and beg you to stay?” It was hard to vocalize without gagging at his words. He couldn’t help but recall how badly all of his relationships ended and everything he’d been put through. Izuku just wanted to love and be loved.

Kiko scoffed, looking away from Izuku, finding the passing cars far more interesting. “Of course not. It just seems like you’re throwing us all away.”

Izuku took a step back, finding anger replacing the sorrow in his chest. “I’m throwing it all away?”

Katusuki couldn’t believe the girl's audacity. For once, Katsuki was completely on Izuku’s side. The girl literally walked up to Izuku and dumped him with no explanation. It wasn’t like she was obligated to nor did she owe Izuku one, but she couldn’t suddenly act like she was the victim. Judging his friends' expressions, they felt the same as him.

Kiko quickly switched from angry to sad, throwing herself a pity party the bystanders were worried would fool Izuku. “Yes. You don’t even care!”

Izuku finally turned his face away from her, holding his forehead in disbelief. The bullies saw how Izuku was irritated, his angry frown was clear as day. “You are the one breaking up with me. How am I responsible?”

“You’re not fighting for us!” shouted Kiko, desperate to redeem herself. She was being watched and she wasn’t about to make a fool of herself by losing to Izuku in front of his bullies.

Izuku shook his head walking over to a wall to rest upon. The bullies hoped he wouldn’t notice them and keep talking.

“Fight for what exactly?” asked Izuku raising a brow. Uncrossing his arms, Izuku sent an accusing finger at Kiko. “There is no us in this. What you really mean is that you want me to fight with you.”

Katsuki smirked, watching Kiko’s face drop. Izuku was right and Kiko could no longer get out of this without looking like a complete fool. Izuku wasn’t a confrontational kind of person so it said a lot about Kiko if he was going out of his way to confront her. Katsuki knew that if push came to shove, he’d scare her off.

“Come on Izuku! Change my mind! Make me want to stay!” cried Kiko, stepping closer to Izuku, and putting on the waterworks.

Izuku rolled his eyes, sneering at her. “None of this is my fault. So how am I supposed to do that? What do you expect me to do?”

“You decide if we should stay together,” declared Kiko as she put her hands on her hips. She was trying her best to make Izuku look like a bad person by setting him up to be the one to end the relationship.

Kiko was a fool because Izuku wasn’t stupid and he’d never fall for her trap. “You already decided. I’m respecting your decision.”

“I’ll take you back if you say so. You just have to prove you’re willing to fight for us,” whined Kiko, doubling down.

Izuku realized there was no winning this. If she wanted him to be the bad guy, then he’d be the bad guy. He wasn’t going to spare her feelings if she had no consideration for his. “Why would I want to stay with someone who wanted to break up?”

“I’ll forget about all of this, I promise. Please, but tell me you care about me,” whispered the girl, taking Izuku’s hands, believing she was winning this despite how Izuku's previous words were filled with hate.

Izuku tore his hands away from Kiko’s, staring at her in disgust. “Have—have you always been this desperate?”

Kiko watched Izuku put distance between them again. “Desperate?”

“You know what? Let me ask you something then… why do you want to break up with me?” questioned Izuku, sounding exhausted as he asked. Izuku knew he was setting the stage for her to guilt trip him. He was curious to hear what the excuse was or the reason behind her even dating him in the first place.

Katuski, Hifumi, and Teijo were beyond curious to hear what caused all of this to happen. With the way things were going, they knew it would be nothing but a load of horseshit. It would be Izuku’s fault and his fault only.

The closer they looked at Izuku’s body language, expression, and tone, they realized he knew the exact same. Kiko was walking into Izuku’s trap. That made the guys smile.

“I feel like you don’t care about me?” answered the girl, watching Izuku closely for a reaction.

Izuku wore the poker face of a god and fired another question. “And why’s that? What makes you think that?”

“You always push me away. It’s like you keep building a brick wall between us,” huffed the girl, clearly irritated her advances had been rejected.

Izuku’s eyes widened, looking at her in disbelief. “Kiko… we’ve talked about this. You’re moving really quickly and I’ve explained on multiple occasions that I’m not ready.”

Kiko rolled her eyes, waving her hand dismissively. “There you go again, pushing me away. We’ve been dating for almost six months!”

“So you think six months of us being together exempted you from the effects of my trauma? You think you’re entitled to my autonomy and have no remorse for ignoring my boundaries. You know what’s happened to me in past relationships so it's rich hearing you say all of this.”

“Stop putting words in my mouth,” yelped Kiko defensively, not enjoying the fact her excuses were backfiring on her.

Izuku pinched the bridge of his nose, trying his best to see this out and not run away. “So you don’t like hearing the truth? I thought that’s what you wanted. You’ve never cared to understand why I need to take things slow. You’re the one who assumed things about me and jumped to the conclusion I didn’t care about you at all.”

Katsuki honestly wanted to cheer Izuku on. Izuku was eating her up and spitting her out. Watching Izuku call her out and destroy her good-girl persona was so refreshing.

Hifumi was glad Izuku was chewing her ear out. From the sounds of it, Izuku was putting up with her bullshit for too long. She deserved this.

Teijo was beyond frustrated at the fact that Kiko was not giving up. She’s so delusional it physically hurts.

“You expect me to not jump to these conclusions?” argued Kiko, proving she had no good justification for what she did. She had no good rebuttal to shoot at Izuku because Izuku was right.

It seemed as if something clicked for Izuku and he froze, staring at Kiko in a mix of horror and embarrassment. “I already know you’re doing this to get a rise out of me. People like you love a juicy reaction… but did you dump me to see if I would care?”

Kiko was silent, the sweat on her forehead reflecting in the sunlight. She lost. Izuku read her like a book and there was nothing she could do to redeem herself. She was an asshole and now people knew.

Izuku had no sympathy for her. He had no sympathy for any of his exes. They used him for their own benefit and they wanted a final performance when they shattered her bruised heart. “Why would you do that? Why would you test me? You could’ve asked.”

Izuku knew why already. Kiko knew he cared. Kiko knew Izuku cared a lot. That was why she broke up with him in a highly public space. She wanted to embarrass him and shame him. Kiko was an insufferable bitch.

Kiko had some fight left in her, looking at Izuku as she spat, “What would I ask you? You’re too sensitive so talking to you is impossible.”

Izuku ignored her insults. Lowering his self-esteem or attacking his person to try and get him to apologize wasn’t going to work. Instead, Izuku decided to end things with Kiko. Even if she technically already dumped him, he wanted her to know he wanted nothing to do with her either.

“If you testing me was a better option than communicating when you think I’m too sensitive to even have a conversation, this won’t work out.”

Kiko went pale, regret written all over her face. “So we are actually breaking up?”

“Yes,” confirmed Izuku, no longer interested in giving her his time.

Kiko grabbed Izuku’s wrist tightly, tugging him a bit. “Don’t do this to me Izuku. I wasn’t being serious.”

Izuku aggressively tore his writing from her grip and snapped. “I am. Have fun with your next test subject because I’m done with you.”

Kiko may have been trying to fake cry before, but the tears falling from her eyes now were real ones. Her hands hung in the air after Izuku ripped himself from her grasp. Izuku stared at her, rubbing his wrist to try and ease the burning.

Katsuki looked at Kiko before breaking his silence. “Pathetic.”

Izuku head snapped over, dread creeping into his veins upon realizing Katsuki had seen something so personal. When he finally looked at Katsuki, it dawned on him that Katsuki was speaking to Kiko. Kiko's tear-filled eyes met Katsuki’s judgemental ones and wilted.

Hifumi walked past her and in front of Izuku. “I don’t know what you were expecting to happen. When you dump someone, you shouldn’t expect to be dating them when you walk away.”

Teijo nudged Izuku’s arms and nodded. “Shocked a dweeb like you could hold your own. Hell, how’d you get a girlfriend?”

Izuku let out a shakey breath, looking away from them and then to Kiko. “I don’t know. It seems like I attract the worst people.”

Katsuki looked at Kiko before turning to Izuku. “Shitty people are desperate for attention. You’re nerdy enough to know when to leave.”

Izuku nods with a weak smile. He was fed up with love and dating considering after four relationships, everyone he dated has been insufferable.

Izuku learned he needed to throw away his rose-tinted glasses and focus on the future he wanted. Izuku wanted to become a hero and he was training to become a hero, he didn’t have time to worry about dating.

Katsuki and his lackeys never brought up what they had seen to anyone. It wasn’t like people would suddenly stop isolating him or praise him for being a badass that knows his worth. It was a personal situation and clearly was something that affected Izuku.

When they thought back to everything they heard, it was clear Izuku did have a good history when it came to dating so they’d rather put his love life to rest.

In last month's poll you degenerates voted for Real Slow Burn - 100k words or more. I should've known. Since we are focused on fic type we are going to hit a few different fandoms.

Voting for next month's topic at the end!

I had a couple of requirements for myself when choosing fics this month otherwise I wouldn't have known where to start and the list would be too long. It's already really long tbh.

The 100K word count had to be for the single fic - not for a series.

The wordcount had to actually be above 100k. No cheating with those 98K fics.

The ship had to be a main part of the story, not an afterthought.

No more than two fics per fandom.

I have to have read it more than once. <- I'm aware of what this says about me. I'm the degenerate actually.

If you've read some of the fics I've posted previously you might have picked up on the very specific vibe in most of what I recommend. Yes, I am just now realizing it and no I don't want to talk about it. Yes maybe a hug wouldn't hurt. We actually have a few that won't leave you emotionally damaged this month!

I thought I'd start with some fandoms we haven't hit yet. As always mind the tags. There is definitely smut.

My Hero Academia

Pairing: Todoroki/Bakugou I'll admit, I was unsure whether to include any MHA since the fandom can be A. Lot. especially when ships are involved. That said, I live in my own little corner of the internet and there are some phenomenal writers hidden away if you go look for it.

The lights are all out (its a big big city), by shaekspeares

"Izuku leaves for America for six months; Shouto fights his way into the Top 5 Hero Rank, takes out Godzilla, reconnects with a criminal, adopts a cat, and has several belated emotional crises (not necessarily in that order). I enjoy everything shaekspeares writes in the fandom. Their prose is beautiful and their work feels fully rested within the universe while telling compelling and emotional stories.

This is done so well that I don't think you have to be in the fandom or know anything about the characters at all and you would still enjoy it. The slow build from distain to love is really well done.

I cannot express how beautiful this is. I've read it so many times and I still cry each time. Levi feels so raw and real as someone who has never really known family and doesn't have the words to put to what he wants and how he feels.

Okay, imagine that you have spent years recovering from the grief of losing someone you loved, healing from a toxic relationship, learning to be comfortable in your skin, taking on a role you never asked for and fighting to create a space for yourself in the world. Got it? Now imagine the person you were grieving turns out to not be dead. And also, they don't know who you are. Oh and they have been brainwashed by the enemy. That feels good, right?

I am embarrassed by how many times I've read this. Every time a new chapter came out I would start from the beginning again. I finally promised myself 5 chapters ago that I wasn't allowed to start all over from the beginning until the final chapter comes out. It should be soooon.

Teen Wolf

Here is the thing. Not only is this fantastic, but the companion piece that is about Derek and Stiles' parents is also good. I didn't think I'd be able to read a fic about parents who are almost non-existent in the show without the characters from the show in it. I did here and I couldn't put it down.

Now, he figures he can start building something like a life - but he keeps getting distracted by Stiles Stilinski of all people."

I know this makes me awful but I'm a sucker for post Nogitsune Stiles. Nightmares? Yes. Disassociation from reality? Bring it. Add in a dash of Derek recognizing what he's going through and I'm there.

There are two fandoms missing that I would have loved to include however:

Snow White With the Red Hair: There are only 2 100+ Obiyuki fics on AO3 so they didn't feel in the spirit of this month's recommendations.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Let's be real most of what I have bookmarked is just straight up porn and not terribly long. That said, there is one really good story that I love but when I went back and looked at the word count turns out it is only like 50K words?

And then there was the kind of magic that most people wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, the kind of magic that could change things.

The kind of magic that Midoriya Izuku reached for with both hands.

“What the fuck is this?” the witch demanded.

“Ah, I—!” Izuku took a step back, wide-eyed, surprised at the vulgar language. “I don't know!”

“The hell do you mean, you don't know? What kind of post-boy are you?”

“I don't read the post,” Izuku said, a little annoyed now. “I just deliver it. Reading it would be a breach of privacy.” He paused, and then leaned forward a little, unable to stifle his curiosity. “Why, is it something bad?”

The witch crushed the letter in his fist.

Inhibitions

Todoroki gets zapped by a Quirk that effectively lowers someone's inhibitions, and Aizawa deals with the strange, humorous, heart-breaking fallout.

The train ride back is something of a nightmare. Not because it goes badly, or because something awful happens, but because Aizawa can’t get rid of this feeling in his chest every time he sees Todoroki’s unusual, carefree smile. He looks like nothing has ever hurt him.

the river walked me home

Shouto's life is a deck of precariously stacked cards, and one online article about Endeavour's approach to parenting sends the whole thing tumbling down. Not everyone believes it. Half the public denies it. But even if it turns out there's no truth in the article, the staff at U.A. are under enough fire as it is, and sending Shouto home for the upcoming week-long break is inexcuseable in the eyes of the press.

Not to mention, Aizawa wouldn't stand for it anyway.

Or: Shouto spends a week or two hiding from the world in his teacher's house, where he is introduced to Animal Crossing, the sweetest cat in the world, and the bizarre concept of feeling safe in his own home.

The Secret Deku Box

“Y’know, Bakugou never, ever talks about girls,” Kaminari says, his voice thoughtful.

“And I wonder why that is.” Ashido rolls her eyes.

“I’m just curious!” Kaminari whines. Kirishima drags the box out, unlabeled and unassuming, the lid not even fully clasped over the edges. “The guy has to— Whoa, what’s that?”

Kirishima realizes a little belatedly that this is a serious breach of privacy, and Bakugou will actually murder all of them. “Nothing!” he cries, attempting to shove it back under the bed, but Ashido snatches it away.

“Please be his porn stash!” Kaminari whispers as she whips the lid off.

No raisins? How about a date?

Izuku steps inside and shuts the door behind him. Uraraka’s lying on her back in bed, reading a shoujo manga. “I just realised Kacchan’s handsome. He was minding his own business and I tried to touch his lips. Am I a pervert? Am I gay?”

“That’s a little gay, yeah,” Uraraka says, sitting up. Izuku flops into a boneless, dramatic heap on the floor and helps himself to the chips on her low table. “I think it’s normal to notice someone’s attractive, though. Like, Bakugou is good-looking, unfortunately, so I doubt it’s all that weird to think about kissing him a couple times. Do you like him?”

“I,” Izuku says and then pauses. “I don’t know. I’ve never had a crush before.”

“Can you imagine going on a date?”

“Hrkl,” says Izuku.

“Oh dear,” says Uraraka.

Toxic masculinity? No no- Manipulative masculinity.

It was at this point that Bakugou, to Aizawa's horror, and the rest of the class's utter disbelief, promptly burst into tears.
