"The Ground Beta scene was the best Bakudeku scene"
I BEG TO DIFFER
You guys remember that snowy mountain camping chapter in the school briefs novels? Well let me remind you of the last scene in the chapter

Like ain't no way we got a full on K-drama bkdk scene and it didn't even get animated 😭
The way he catches Izuku before he falls is like literally something straight out of a romance movie
Imagine the eye contact as they stare at each other's face from up close, while Bakugo is holding onto Izuku kdmkdkskdkskkdkrbjdjdjdbsjsjxbjxjxhj
Now just close the distance and kiss
Except they're too oblivious idiots
But it ALMOST happened...it COULD HAVE happened...
And then Bakugo's gay panic when Izuku's confusion reminds him how out of character that is ahhahhahahaha
He's like shit this almost turned into a 12 season long K-drama, better revert back to my normal self and kick him down before he realizes I care~
And this scene happened right after Katsuki's big epiphany moment when he realized that he actually cares about Deku and that he never actually hated him and deep down he's scared for him...tears in my Bakudeku eyes my dudes
Like y'all, read this chapter and you'll understand why Bakugo always acted the way that he did with Deku. It was never about hating him, he just has a fucking mini panic every single time others almost realize that he actually cares much more than they think he does, and he goes "oop, they almost saw my weak, caring side...welp, gotta balance it out and do something that an ass like me would do, that way they won't question it and they'll think they just imagined it-"

The perfect end is near?
MHA 424 spoilers
Those new leaks were literally fucking perfect, like??? Not just for shipping (I'll get to that) but just for a conclusion of the series.
Simple ending?

(First of all,I personally wanted Hori to kinda send the kids back to school,y'know,to see how they'd be after the fact how this war really changed their mindsets, but to also give them so time to just be a class. Those kids deserve to be kids just for a little bit).
To me this just proves even more so how Hori loves and enjoys his characters,he loves the world he's built for them,I think he wants to explore this further, and all the power to him! I know we want stories that are mind blowing every step of the way,but that's just not realistic and that's not really fun.
Hori,in my opinion, has made a heartbreaking and inspiring story, but I appreciate that he can dile it back a notch. I appreciate stories that can just roll with the simplicity. I feel people have this negative connotation of simplicity, that simple is automatically bad, which isn't true in the slightest.
I am a big fan of deep and meaningful stories, but I think one of the deepest turns you can take is to simplicity. These kids have been fighting non-stop and have been experiencing tragedy after tragedy,I want to see them recover. I want to see them comfort one another.
Let's not forget Hori has given us plot twits,death,war,grief...so if MHA goes back to how it was in the beginning,by being a little more simple, then I'm in full support for that.
(Just making this argument before the dudebros start talking shit! As for Shigaraki and AFO's ending, and the war,I've already done a pretty long analysis for those two,so I kinda see no point in repeating something since my feelings on it haven't changed)
The gay ending???
ALRIGHT. Let's get to the shipping portion of this post.

(Izuku trying to reassure him is so fucking sweet,oh my fucking God, he's like, "Oh,Kacchan don't cry everything's okay :D" whilst trying not to cry himself, and Izuku being shocked to see him cry? Like, bitch, this man has cried to you like two times before this, but at the same time he's never openly sobbed I guess)
Guys,we're going to get the quirkless hand hold. GUYS,WE'RE GOING TO GET THE QUIRKLESS HAND HOLD.
And Katsuki being vulnerable with Izuku once again? Honestly this whole chapter hasn't been some dkbk/bkdk crumbs,it's been a full-course dinner.
Now let's get to the most important part...

THIS. This is so telling of the future in a sense.
Katsuki and Izuku being brought together by All Might's words once again, which Hori fucking HINTED at,
Something tells me he was super excited to do this whole scene. With All Might, once again, bringing these two together,it makes me think of Togachako, especially with Ochako at the end here.
If Ochako is the one holding her stomach at the end, then we can assume that's where Toga stabbed her and she's thinking of her, while dkbk/bkdk are having their moment. This is extremely important.
I've said Izuku is kinda like Togachako's All Might, and I stand by that. Throughout this series,Ochako has been growing to become a hero, her own hero. And,Izuku has been one of her biggest inspirations,so much so,she feel in love with him. But,as things change, and Izuku has grown away from her, she's grown away from him.
What I'm saying is: Ochako has fallen out of love with Izuku. I've said this a million times, but I cannot stress it enough. Izuku has brought Ochako and Toga together though, that's for sure.
I mean,if we really take a look at their recent romantic moments, who has Ochako been thinking of?

and the rooftop scene?

people please stop trying to make this about Izuku. This is about Ochako finally realizing what kind of hero she wants to be,and that's why she falls out of love with Izuku.
Ochako wanted to save the heroes (Izuku) but in the process she found out she wants to save the villains (Toga). This is her story of becoming a hero, and falling out of love with Izuku. Izuku brought them together, their shared feelings for him made them realize their feelings for each other. Sound familiar?
Izuku's and Katsuki's shared feelings for All Might caused their feelings for each other to bloom, then their conflicting ideals made it to where they couldn't be together. Sound familiar?
(And let's not forget they had two fights, each one of them.)
And,Katsuki said something this chapter that made me think: "Oh,Togachako vibes!"

Remember when Ochako says she wants to give Toga her blood for the rest of her life?

Or the lyrics in the mha season 2 ending theme about Izuku's feelings for Kacchan?
Dudes, these mfs just wanna be together.
Those are just some of my thoughts one the ending,dkbk/bkdk,Togachako,and all that. I'm super fucking excited for the rest of this series though!
(Let's cross our fingers for a Deku Vs Kacchan part 3 but it ends with them making out???)

I'm not against queer ships but you guys do realize MHA is shounen, right? It was also serialized in Jump. Gay ships were never going to be canon in such a series. And I have to say that Ochako and Izuku were like the most obvious ship to be setup and become canon. The writing was very straightforward in that department.
I like Bakudeku but Bakudeku is tame compared to other shounen rivals and shounen duos in other storie and mangas out there. By 'tame' I mean they don't even have half of the chemistry or tropes most other shonen duos have (heck at the end Hori made sure to even degrade Bakudeku further by disproving major fandom takes like them being heroes or forming an agency together, Izuku just rejects his offer at the end and then we see him chase after Ochako.)
If you want to have more queer writing and narratives, you should follow other stories that are more likely to have queer characters, writing and narratives in their stories. Because Shonen, especially Jump, just won't change for the better any time soon.
shut the fuck up, im going to make them bigger fags and dykes just out of spite.
Shonen is a fucking demographic, is a matter of what works are being published for it, and many already do have queer characters and storylines including BNHA. Im not even going to answer to your opinions and interpretations -which btw seem to be based on the leakers' ideas more than the actual content, he didnt reject making an agency with him nor went after her like that, if you want to express them go and make your own posts instead of sending anon asks to queer shippers; why would you send this? To advice me/us to go and let the shonen for the cishet dudes? Nah, especially with the fascists using nerd spaces for their hateful speeches, I'll keep making them queer af and not "accept" extremely boring, underdeveloped, and ambiguous hetero "endings".
Get the fuck out of my house. I dont care if you dont have "anything against queer ships" or "like bkdk", you went out of your way to tell a queer person to just go and leave shonen bc its not for ppl like me, and thats fucked up. Why would you want to do that. "Its a shonen, what do you expect?" "its a shonen, you know that right?" yes I know that and ill still see them as queer af. Your point?
What pisses me off is not how you want to see it that way, but how you want others to agree with you and LEAVE BNHA bc "its shonen, if you want something queer go somewhere else", ignoring the queer history in shonen and the ways authors are limited by their publishing companies, ignoring how most stories and most content isnt queer and will never be made for queer ppl, to the point that even actual queer stories get changed to fit heterosexual audiences -like with the musical adaptation of the book Wicked, which makes Elphaba and Glinda directly sing about how much they are just friends when the author made them queer-.
This was rude, theres no reason to go to a queer fan account to say this, so get out. I usually think everyone has good intentions, but I dont understand why would you send this other than 1 being afraid ppl wont care about it if you just make a post yourself 2 wanting to "advice the delusional queer shippers so their little silly hearts who have never heard the words this is shonen ofc its straight dont break </3".
So. Out.

Now that things had calmed down in the fandom-
Chapter 431 actually creates a solid argument about Ochako having comphet.
Before people try to burn my house down- DISCLAIMERS!
For the record, I normally see Ochako as a bisexual, it is not something mention in my fanfics (From what I remember at least) but I am not one that likes to ignore the canon crushes of the characters (AU not withstanding, or in extreme cases, very bad writing,) and regardless of any claims I make in this post, I will continue to do so.
This isn't to say that people claiming biphobia with people ignoring Ochako's crush on Izuku are talking nonsense either. I had seen people who just want to see Ochako as a lesbian and refuse to engage as to why they don't want her to be bi (surprise surprise, is biphobia.) I am queer, and I had seen people from my community and outside be biphobic too many times in my lifetime, I get it.
This post is an interpretation, it is in no way shape or form meant to be seen as me thinking this is some type of gospel. The fun part about media analysis is that you can have multiple ways to see a story, while neither of them being less 'valid' than the other.
That being said- you don't need to think of Himiko in order to read Ochako as a lesbian, or any other girl for that matter, the idea of Ochako's feelings for Izuku being comphet can be done just looking at their relationship.
Warning: Any person who ignores the disclaimers and/or refuses to engage in good faith will be blocked. Disagreeing is fine, debating is fine, but either engage with the argument, or just block and ignore my existence.
Heavy spoilers for Chapter 431, as well as the multiple other chapters of the manga.
So sorry for the amount of disclaimers before getting to the main argument, but I don't trust the internet to not assume the worst from minute 1.
Let's start with defining comphet, because I had seen people believe that any lesbian (or any non cis straight person) will just know since the beginning what their preference is, that's not how it works.
Compulsory heterosexuality is the theory that people who had been living in societies who are heavily patriarcal, heterosexual and alloromantic will default to expecting to follow that line of thinking.
This doesn't mean that being aware of the existence of gay people will circumvent this mindset; it depends on the way the person was raised, their community, and sometimes the country. While it is most common in people who have little information about homosexual people, even people surrounded by gay or trans friends can take years to realize about their own identities.
Now, why I think Ochako's crush could be interpreted as comphet?
She is extremely reticent to act on those feelings.

Let me make this very clear: The image on the left? It is completely valid and sentiment that doesn't invalidate her feelings for Izuku.
She deciding that her career is more important that thinking of boys is a responsible, mature decision that I was extremely happy to see in the story; I have some feelings how well that was handled, but it is overall, a good choice that doesn't mean she doesn't have a crush on him, just that she has her priorities straight.
It is when you combined with the image of the right that it feels less than it being a responsible a choice, and more like she is looking up for excuses.
It has been eight years; I know that the rebuild of Japan took time, and she was working on her program; but I have a hard time believing in eight years, there wasn't a chance for them to get closer, or for her to try to pursue that relationship.
Specially because a lot of their romantic moments, AFTER she became 'aware of her feelings' are about her reacting to the situation, instead of pro-actively trying to get closer to Izuku.

The moments of Ochako supporting and being close to Izuku become extremely less prominent the moment she is told she may have feelings for Izuku (more on that later) the Blackwhip incident, and the megaphone moment, while those scenes are technically more 'romantic', it is also her reacting to the situation.
What would be the outcome of her not trying to reassure Izuku that she will be fine/she was fine about the Sports Festival? Izuku could feel bad.
What would be the outcome of her not explaining overly enthusiastic and bubbly about how she sees the nickname Deku? (Because while the scene kind of invites her for her to share her thoughts, but now how) that Izuku may think she isn't being serious about her viewpoint, and is being demeaning like Bakugou.
Now let's contrast this with the Blackwhip incident and the megaphone scene.
During Blackwhip, you can argue this was her acting on her hero training. She sees someone who needs saving, she goes diving to help; I don't believe she would just flee if someone else was having this type of issues with their quirk. The outcome would be someone being hurt, if not possibly accidentally hurting others.
The Megaphone scene is about her defending Izuku's right to be in UA. While you could argue this is more personal, because it doesn't have the same sense of imminent danger; but this also carries the risk that if Izuku doesn't get to UA, he may be captured by villains and killed. This is the friend she and the rest of her class wanted to defy UA, and were doing their best to track down to get back; why would Ochako stop with the mission of getting Izuku safe and sound?
Now compare both things.
One of them is at its core, establishing a connection, is about caring for the feelings of the other person because this person matters to you in some way or form. The other one, is more about the consequences of the situation.
A big reason why I argue about this being more utilitarian, is how after both the Blackwhip incident and the megaphone scene, she doesn't try to check on Izuku to see how he is doing; and while the narrative is still very Izuku centric, the argument used in the story is that Ochako is being 'inspired' to protect heroes. It is trying to distance itself from the romance element, rather than leaning on it.
Again, the story doesn't do a big effort of Ochako caring for other heroes, so there is that; but that could have easily segway into "Since I care about the wellbeing of heroes, let's see how Izuku is feeling! Is not because I have feelings for him or anything." Yet it is not the case.
In the initial scenes, there is a level of domesticity, of friendship, of someone who wants to spend time with Izuku; even in the most casual of situations.
Yet the moment she is introduced to the idea that this could be romantic, to lead to that territory- she pulls back, and now defaulting to being around Tsuyu and the other girls. And now the scenes with him that carry the most weight, is when shit hit the fan, and someone has to do something about it.
While not completely gone, it is noticeable how Ochako isn't around Izuku, even for background things like eating together or spending time in the living room.
("You are completely ignoring Christmas!" You mean the gift exchange, the gift exchange that was clearly done at random, unless you believe Iida would gift Bakugo glasses on purpose. Yes, I will ignore what would be, at best, Mina rigging the thing so Ochako and Izuku exchange gifts.)
The scene where I am pulling up all of these moments, the cliff scene at the end of the manga, it is indeed pretty romantic; however Izuku is the one doing the heavy lifting. All Ochako has to do, is to follow his lead.
Which is a problem that we see is still present in 431.

Once again, the scene in the left? It doesn't have to mean she doesn't have feelings for Izuku.
Ochako being unable to rescue Sir Nighteye is something she felt guilty of; now she decided to make her mission to rescue this specific person, and she didn't get to. Further more, it is easy to see why she would feel guilty for it, since Himiko took the decision to give her blood to Ochako (NO, I don't think she has to feel guilty, just that I get why she would carry said weight.) You don't need touse any togachako lenses to see why she would be grieving this, so of course, she isn't thinking of romance right now.
Now, what is the excuse in chapter 431?
She says she 'wished' she got the chance to talk more with Izuku, but NOTHING in this chapter makes me think she attempted to talk to him; she even excused herself with "eh, we see each other at work often, is fine."
We have no confirmation of it, but the way this scene went, doesn't give me the impression she even approached him to say goodbye, in the same vein she had with Tsuyu. Again, she is acting SO LITTLE on this 'crush' it starts to becomes suspicious.
This becomes even weirder considering that she is normally, a pretty proactive person?
She wants to help her parents to have more money? Ochako decides to not only become a hero, but try for the best hero school in Japan.
She realizes she needs to be better at hand to hand combat? She makes sure to do an internship with a hero that can teach her exactly that.
Even with her friendship with Izuku! When they see each other again, now in UA, OCHAKO is the one who approaches HIM!
It is only when it comes to her 'crush' that suddenly, she is unable to do any move further.
This goes to the point when I have to ask, does she really want a romantic relationship with Izuku?

There are many, many scenes of Ochako getting flustered while thinking of Izuku, or by people pointing out their closeness, however I don't remember a single scene of her thinking about how it would be them being together, or wishing this could be the case.
I know she decided to dedicate herself to her studies and forsake romance for the time being, but that doesn't mean it would be impossible for her to wonder how things would be if they were a couple, or wanting things to be different.
Now, while not a declaration of undying love, Izuku is coming forward to her, saying that he wishes to spend more time with her. If Ochako has been harbouring this love for Izuku for years, then this moment should be felt like fireworks going inside of her, of her thinking how much she has wanted this for so long, finally getting this chance.
However, what is the thing that we can see going on in her head?

(Holy shit this is ROUGH.)
I personally interpret Himiko's presence like this being a part of her brain, not the spirit of Himiko; the chapter makes things kind of vague, so this is open to interpretation as well.
So, in the moment that the person she has supposedly been in love with for eight years, is coming to her and reciprocating her feelings; the thing that comes to mind, is that the girl she couldn't save all those years ago would WANT this for her.
...
Okay, I insisted that you don't need to use togachako lenses to justify Ochako having comphet, and I will not detract from that now.
Ignoring the possibility of togachako in this sceario; Himiko has been a person who heavily influenced Ochako. Her death not only was a big emotional hit for her, but she also decided to create a quirk counselling program that, while not directly attributed to her; seeing her wondering "what if I could had reached out sooner?" it feels it has to do with her.
There could be the argument that "Ochako didn't want to pursue a relationship with Izuku because she feels she shouldn't be happy after Himiko died!"
Which, in a vacuum, makes sense; except the fact that Ochako knows that is bullshit. Himiko says that much in this scene, she would want Ochako to be happy; I have a hard time believing this was a revelation.
More importantly, if this was about her guilt, it would make sense that still has a hold on her, and it is something that she needs to be convinced isn't true.
This is when the 'compulsion' part comes in

Over the years, Ochako has used different excuses about why she shouldn't try to pursue a relationship with Izuku; the excuses vary from reasonable, to extremely vague and kind of bullshit.
When the guy she has 'feelings' for appears and confesses his feelings; her mind immediately reminds her that the girl that inspired her to be the hero she is today would want her to do this, imagining she is pushing her towards Izuku (aka what she should want.)
Ochako immediately reflects in how they had seen each other more often for a month; which is her trying to rationalize how they got to this point. ("This is what should be expected between a man and a woman, right?")
Izuku asks about how she feels (though a bit less direct than that.) And now Ochako is on the spot; she has to answer.
She is flustered, unsure how to respond, so for good measure, she "looks" back at Himiko, being reminded this is what SHE would had wanted for her, what Ochako herself should want.
And finally, the best response she can give Izuku is "yeah, me too." Which has to be the most lukewarm response she could give in this situation.
What has this to do with compulsion?
Because Ochako has been now put on the spot; before she could bring excuses as to why not try anything, and because Izuku was unaware of the situation, it worked fine that way.
However, now Izuku is directly inciting them to be more. In a society overly heteronormative and patriarcal, the idea of rejecting him would be impolite and uncomfortable; even if Izuku would be nice about it.
But more importantly, this is what she should want. This is the man she has been "in love" for eight years; the guy who she admires and has in turn, supported her and been there for her.
And yet, the final push, comes literally of her thinking that the girl who sacrificed her life for her, would want her to pursue this. Ochako isn't thinking "I want this," she is thinking that Himiko would think of this as her happy ending.
In summary, when Ochako no longer has the luxury of stalling on the topic, her brain rationalizes the situation, makes up a reason as to why she should do this (Which is coincidentally the same reason she used to pursue her life's work,) gives a "me too" instead of actually talking about her feelings, and rather than sealing the relationship with a kiss, or a hug, they give each other bro shake that looks like this meme, except that somehow it feels even less intimate than the bromance the meme is referencing to.

I had seen many, many pieces of media; from romances, to stories who's main focus was something else, and the couple at the end was like, the garnish. And yet in all my years of seeing pieces of media, I had never seeing a love interest this reticent to accepting a confession, let alone from the party that has been shown to be 'in love' for the most part of the story.
In the main story, I could believe that Ochako was in love with Izuku, I don't think that it doesn't make sense. Every moment where she doesn't push the subject, where she tries to keep some distance between the two, made sense to me; there were more pressing matters. It was even commendable that she acknowledge how romance shouldn't be her main worry.
But the epilogue made me rethink all of it. Even if we take out of the equation the eight years where Ochako didn't try to push the relationship forward (they don't even feel like close friends, in the same vein she has with Tsuyu) the fact that this is how she responds to having the person she apparently has been loving for eight years, doesn't inspire me too much hope.
There are other aspects with the story that in isolation, don't need to mean anything else, but by combining with this, continues to show why someone may believe Ochako is doing this out of comphet and nothing else. But I wanted to make this post focusing on 431, maybe another moment I would add the other pieces of the puzzle.
If anyone stuck around to reading all of this, thank you; it has been something that has been on my mind for months now, so it was nice to get it out.
Happy scrolling y'all.

I literally saw this guy on tiktok (his name is Andrew or something I think?) who analyzes mha a lot and like. He basically has the take that Izuku is oober underdeveloped and that he has “a bunch of cool concepts, but not enough evaluating on said concepts” and it’s like, wow. Izuku becomes a much more boring character when you stop analyzing all of the queer subtext around his character.
Because how do straight fans analyze togadeku parallels? Do they just pretend they don’t exist? Like??????
And it’s like crazy to me when people are like “no I love this character/ship” and then understand none of the appeal of said character or ship and just. Make something up with a bunch of fanon stereotypes.
It’s like, you can’t talk about the toxic masculinity without talking about the internalized homophobia, because Izuku thinks that romance is stupid because romance = homosexual thoughts and girly innocence to him. He thinks of it so simplistically.
And you can’t talk about toga without talking about how much she reflects Izuku and Ochako, because she represents love in the series. Like tf do they think that even means???? How do you even LIKE TOGA and not like her narrative purpose and contrast to the normal possessive yandere tropes, her queer coded story, her saying that she “finally found love”.
Like how do you like mha and complain about trivial things like how there wasn’t more of a scene of Katsuki grabbing allmight. There wasn’t enough of a fight, apparently.
But this chapter isn’t ABOYT the fight, it’s about Izuku’s worry, Katsuki saving to win, the hope and the symbol of allmight—allmight isn’t being saved yet????!!!?????????!?!??!
And, supposedly, bkdk’s interest as a relationship is also one sided because no one stops to think as to whether Izuku’s thoughts and pov not being voiced was a conscious choice??? Like ofc it was, and you don’t even realize why without seeing it as a way to diverge from announcing his queer gay thoughts until the end. It’s a REVEAL. THIS IS A REVEAL YALL. HES BEING INSANE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE HES BOTTLED IT UP FROM THE CHARACTERS IN THE STORY AND US, THE AUDIENCE.
How do you even… read mha without seeing it in a queer lens. I don’t get it.

Round 3
Propaganda Under Cut
Uraraka Ochaco
she is absolutely a victim of yaoi. let her have her crush and let her be a person BEYOND HER FEELINGS FOR ONE MAN!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS A WONDERFUL HERO! AND HAS AN INTRICATE PERSONALITY BEYOND IZUKU!
One of Midoriya “Deku” Izuku’s first friends (the first real one, to be exact), training to be a hero alongside the rest of her class. Despite her character arc and evolution of goals, which tie in strongly with the themes of the series, fans view her as an “obstacle” because of her canonical crush on Izuku. As a result, fan works pairing Izuku with a guy minimize the positive impact she’s had on his life and diminish her role, with some even demonizing her and turning her into a jealous bitch to justify Izuku not dating her. The simple possession of a crush has lead to her being overlooked and mistreated by the fandom, such as the common take she’s had no growth since the obtainment of her crush (feelings she actively pushes to the side as to not possibly create a distraction from her goals). These takes are accompanied by claims her character solely revolves around Izuku, ignoring the fact that many other guy characters have their characters revolve around him, some even more than her.
Shes literally so fucking cool and passionate and she has a genuinely interesting place in the setting and YET she is constantly sidelined by both the show and the fandom in favor of her canonical love interest/main character and i'm going to be mad about it forever. 90% of the time is should she date the MC, or just that shes "a queen" or "a girlboss". Bc who cares about her growing up in poverty or her relationship with her parents or interest in rescue work? All that matters is that shes not a threat to YOUR favorite MLM ship but dw! Its still feminist because she can punch people <3
Sakura Haruno
Her husband is gay and her author doesn't know how to write women. So many people say she's the worst but she. DESERVES. BETTER!!! Save her from this franchise.
My baby girl my bestie my best friend. She committed the crime of um being written by kishimoto who both doesn’t know how to write women and somehow writes men in the gayest way possible specifically naruto and sasuke. Like the thing is naruto and sasuke ARE gay and also she gets so much hate for the crime of kishimoto writing her one dimensionally in love with sasuke. I know her personally she is a butch lesbian to me just trust me she’s in love with Ino and has a lesbian thing going on with Karin okay just trust me. My everything. She needs to divorce the loveless lavender marriage she’s in
What is there to say, even? The OG Threat to my 90s anime brain, the only woman I've ever hated with such a passion she made me turn away from the color pink. I used to write fics with my friend where she got left behind on purpose so our OCs could join the Naruto and Sasuke team instead. I loathed this bitch until I was 16 and realized the author simply couldnt write women and decided it was time to make peace with Sakura. It is not her fault she's vaguely written and obsessive over Sasuke. She deserves better. Sasuke and Naruto still should be together and Sakura shouldnt be with Sasuke but I no longer believe this because I hate Sakura, it is because I love her. She deserves a spouse who will actually put in the time to treat her like the hero she is.

Okay, if you were asked who are in JJK & BNHA that you can see based on canon that are gay/bi/pan/demi, which characters are they?
For me satoaugu and bakudeku are definitely not straight (yes, I ship them but I don't think they "must be into women only" like a post I just saw). Also, kaminari, jirou, toga, nobara, megumi, kenjaku....
Ah yes, a person with discerning tastes. ✨ While this feels like a sure fire way to get me into some hot water, let's dive right in.
✨🌈 Happy pride to the queer people in my phone 🌈✨
But especially these
Megumi "Only Interested in Compassion" Fushiguro - pansexual (very much choosing to overlook very subtle implications of siscon as a red herring to, of course, further contextualize ItaFushi). See also Gojo and the uncharacteristic Miwa agenda.
Satoru Gojo - Let's be so for real. Man is down astronomical for Suguru but I think there's still evidence/reason to believe he could be ace or demisexual. Can strength be conflated with love?
Kinji Hakari - waving the white flag on this one considering I'm 4 weeks behind and I don't know if there's been further clarification that might swing this verdict one way or another but support Hikari's love regardless of Kirara's gender expression/identity. Also, given current events, it'd be pretty weird if Gege slipped that in out of nowhere.
Kenjaku - 🗣️ IF GIVEN ENOUGH TIME, DO WE NOT ALL BECOME A LIL GAY!? I understand straight people probably don't have such realizations so I'm just going to sit with that reflection.
Nobara Kugisaki - be so for real. I think she had a misplaced crush in her idolization of Saori that made more sense when she left the bumble fuck countryside and could live her best life, out and proud with her muscle mommy girlfriend, Maki. Also explains, a bit, why Saori was ostracized where Nobara may have lacked understanding/context.
Maki - Plenty of gay icons without last names, queen. This one just happens to also be gay.
Eijirou Kirishima is almost so straight that he unintentionally makes a hard U-turn into flirting with queerness. His phrasing is baffling as he tends to pop up in those threads frequently with assumingly unintended innuendos but it is also reminiscent about how no one third wheels harder than a dude's girlfriend when he's with his best friend? I don't know if that makes sense but I'm throwing him in the mix as someone who maybe just needs some time ✨ regardless of the BakuDeku to KiriMina parallels.
Denki Kaminari - This kid has eyes and he uses them, gender be damned. A bi-disaster if I've ever seen one.
Minoru Mineta - IDK if his Deku confession was a translation faux pas or if Mineta, too, has fallen for the male lead's quintessential charm that wins over hearts and minds. While the Council on Bisexuality would fight me on this one... his membership is still pending.
Izuku Midoriya - I have it on good authority that Izuku is Bakusexual. Flustered by girls in the same way that any awkward and bullied kid might when encountering the opposite sex but his heart has always had its allegiance to one person. Whether that makes him gay, demi or even bi, I think it tracks.
Katsuki Bakugo - bi, pan or gay, the consensus is he is Not Straight.
Kyoka Jiro - in Smash, Jiro is a total fujoshi (she just like us fr). If you'll allow submitting MHA Smash into evidence, coupled with the canon main story, I say bi. A girl who knows Momo is stacked but also reasonably wants the attention and company of a Class 1A boy as a girl would at that age.
Himiko Toga - one thing about Toga. She is going to know and live her truth. Confidently bi ✨
Ochaco Uraraka - SPEAKING OF LIVING TRUTHS. She a little late but she has the right spirit.
Bonus, if including Kirishima didn't some how get me booed, I was going to add Yuta Okkotsu too but I thought better of it. 👉🏾👈🏾

Meme: Send a 👀 and I will describe how my muse sees yours / what they think of when they look at them. @oncforallxbroccoli said: 👀
Where could Katsuki even begin with Izuku? It was like, wherever he ended, Izuku began, and where Izuku ended, Katsuki began. Fated childhood friends and rivals turned lovers. If the concept of soulmates was real, Izuku surely was his.
Though, he'd never be caught dead saying those thoughts out loud. Holy fuck, that was really damn gay.
"He's someone I need to protect--" He paused. "No, he's someone I want to protect." He smiled a little. "He's the reason why I'm a hero, and not just some bullshit celebrity in it for the money and fame; an actual hero who wants to save people because that's the only way to win."
"We push each other to be the best that we can be with no half-assing it. Not even death could keep me apart from him, so I guess you could say that I'm head-over-heels gay as fuck for that nerd."
"He's fuckin' amazing, Quirk or no Quirk. His smile could light up the entire damn room and makes me think I'll explode if I stare at it for too long. He's so fuckin' cute it makes me wanna bite him. I get lost in his eyes all the fuckin' time--" He paused, realizing that he was now rambling on much like Izuku would do while muttering about heroes. He flushed deeply at the thought. Fuck.
"...I love him."

Hello, if you don't mind, can I ask, who are your top favorite romantic relationship's couples in any media, like anime/manga, tv series, books, etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....Thanks if you want to answer....
Ooh how fun! I should just screenshot my ao3 dash lol. Let's see... almost all of these are all animanga (and not canon), but in order of my love for them at this particular moment in time:
TodoBakuDeku
BakuDeku
KilluGon
MatchaBlossom
SatoSugu
ShiGuang
TigerGhost
SasaMiya
ShunMio
KazuRei
Now, explanations, *spoilers*, and honorable mentions below the cut!
TodoBakuDeku (My Hero Academia)
Obviously not canon and never will be but oh does this ship have a chokehold on me. I just think this trio is so balanced in every way. Like we have our precious TodoDeku who connect by being nerds and the sweetest boys. Then we also have TodoBaku who are just lovely little menaces. And, of course, BakuDeku--can't beat friends to enemies to lovers. And then they all come together to form a masterpiece. Idk I just love this ship so much.
BakuDeku (My Hero Academia)
So I honestly really wasn't into this ship too much until reading the final war arc and meta. Other people's viewpoints changed my mind! Hori has done a really great job of portraying BakuDeku's complex relationship in the manga (for however you view their canon relationship). So like idk how can I not ship For-the-Rest-of-Our-Lives Katsuki with Control-Your-Heart Izuku?
Sidenote: I almost didn't include this on the list because I tend to only really ship this pair while reading the manga. I never shipped them in the anime unless it was TodoBakuDeku with Deku as a hinge. And I don't even read many fics with just Katsuki and Izuku. I just feel like fandom BakuDeku feels incomplete without Shouto for some reason. Like I'm Team BakuDeku for the manga, Team hinge TodoBakuDeku in the anime, but throuple TodoBakuDeku in the sanctuary of my mind/on ao3. (Maybe that'll change once I start watching Season 7 though.)
KilluGon (Hunter x Hunter)
I only watched this anime this year but ohmygod I immediately fell in love with Gon and Killua. They are so precious. I mean, Killua is just a little smitten kitten. And Gon? He's in it. Anyway, love their dynamic and of course I ship them. Gon is Killua's light after all!
MatchaBlossom (Sk8 the Infinity)
Literally just started shipping this so I'm in the throes of obsession rn but their dynamic? *chef's kiss* (hehe, you like what I did there?) Childhood friends? Pining while the other falls for another? Realizing feelings? Already married bickering old couple? Give me all the headcanons please!
SatoSugu (Jujutsu Kaisen)
I mean, c'mon. Tragic gays are my weakness. They're gonna be OG for me. No one can compare. They're on a different level. All I want is for them to have hopped on a plane and gone somewhere they can finally find peace, is that too much to ask? (Gege??)
ShiGuang (Link Click)
Again, I said I like tragic gays. But god, I do hope they don't end up too tragic! I love this pairing. They balance each other out well. We have puppy dog Cheng Xiaoshi and cat Lu Guang. Perfection thx.
TigerGhost (Nicktoons Unite)
Ok so this crackship was brought on by my serendipitous viewing of Nicktoons Unite fanart on this beautiful app and subsequent reading of all their fics on ao3 (a grand total of four, btw). And I'm obsessed. I was a diehard Danny Phantom fan as a kid (we stan our queer/genderqueer/bisexual/trans ghost boy). And I never watched El Tigre as a kid, but the way the fandom portrays him and Danny together just hits. Salty and sweet with a lil bit of darkness? Yum.
SasaMiya (Sasaki to Miyano)
First canon ship on this list lol. You want fluff? You got it. Give me some good pining, consent, and mutual respect, thank you.
ShunMio (Stranger by the Shore)
Second and last canon ship on the list! Love me some good ole sun and moon. Idk their story is so cute. Plus, I like how Kii Kana portrays Shun's feelings regarding his sexuality and how that affects his relationship with Mio. It's relatable.
KazuRei (Buddy Daddies)
I mean, this is practically canon, right? Well, at least queerplatonically (which we stan). Love our little found family. This anime had such a cute and goofy premise, how could I not fall for this ship?
(Honorable mentions: TodoDeku, TodoBaku, Labru, DabiHawks, Renga, VashWood, Kappa x Siren, Boyfriends, EraserMic, ItaFushi, InuOkko, ShokoHime, HaiNana, LeoPika, KudoIchi, TogaChako)

Katsuki and Izuku character analysis
this is very unformatted and ugly and apart of a larger essay i wrote a while back but i really wanted to share my thoughts on bkdk
this is also largely?? speculation (as i’ve been told by some) but i believe it has a fair bit of canon backing it up
Ok now Katsuki on the other hand had to step into Deku and get closer to grow. He never hated Deku, he was envious of how naturally heroic Deku was. Katsuki hated himself, never Deku, and he felt weak because he was weak, mentally.
Deku just happened to be the physical representation of that weakness because while he was physically weak, Deku was stronger mentally than Katsuki will ever be. That’s why he called Deku useless, it was him projecting. That’s why he was so shaken at Deku vs Kacchan 1, because Deku was overcoming their physical disparity and Katsuki was still left in the dust feeling weak, which is why Deku vs Katsuki 2 happened after All Might fell. He felt his weakness was responsible for the end of All Might and hated himself even more for that, and in turn he fought Deku even more. But at Deku vs Katsuki 2 he learned to embrace that weakness and deal with it WITH Deku, because Deku was the original source of where that initial weakness feeling came from, it only makes sense for him to be the “cure” for it too. Katsuki also doesn’t understand his own emotions or knows how to deal with them, so that’s why he masks it all with anger because he sees anything else as weakness because Deku was constantly expressing everything but anger and he saw Deku as weak (physically) so he associated most emotions with weakness. Thats also why it’s so important his first action of pure heroism with no ulterior motives was for Deku, jumping in front of OFA/Shigaraki’s creepy finger thingies to prevent Deku from being stabbed. Doing this was him getting over that weakness (also why people say Katsuki grew softer while Izuku grew angrier). Him nearly dying for Deku was the ultimate show of character growth because it proved he could get over himself, his mental weakness, and his feelings surrounding Deku to throw himself away to save him. It’s also why Katsuki’s “death” is PEAK KATSUKI. He 100% went into that battle knowing it was most likely a suicide mission you CANNOT TELL ME OTHERWISE, he was completely focused on stalling for Deku because he finally realized he could accept Deku’s help and he didn’t have to do everything by himself. That’s also why he was so upset when he learned Deku lost OFA, because since he was a baby Deku has been the one thing consistent in his life, every major milestone Deku was there watching From The Sidelines (hehe), whether he liked it or not. Deku is his constant, and he kind of has trouble functioning without him. In short he really needs therapy.
also Katsuki never stopped being friends bc of Deku’s lack of a quirk, he stopped being friends because even though Deku was powerless he was still everything Katsuki wasn’t, a true genuine hero, and he took his help as mocking because that was the one thing he could never beat Deku in, or understand about him. That’s also why Katsuki has wet dreams about that god forsaken river scene because it literally changed his life
also he hated Deku at the river scene bc blah blah weakness he hates weakness blah blah Deku was the personification of Katsuki’s own weakness blah blah gay shit inferiority complexes
He LITERALLY needed to get closer to Deku to flourish because Deku is his weakness
And overcoming his “hatred” for Deku was him overcoming his self loathing and inferiority complex
Katsuki is also Deku’s weakness. Deku also really needs Katsuki. For most of his life Katsuki was the dream he could never have, complete power, confidence, and amazing. That is genuinely the only reason he sat watching From The Sidelines (im so funny i know) for so long, despite all the bullying and hurt Katsuki caused him. That’s also why it was really important for him to prove to Katsuki that he could for once hold his own against him in Deku vs Katsuki 1, it was like him coming out and saying “you have to acknowledge me now.” It’s also why Katsuki being taken by the LOV was just literally the worst for Deku, because Katsuki is also Deku’s constant. He’s been watching him for forever, and been in every major milestone in HIS life. Removing Katsuki from the equation is like having carpet pulled from under his feet, breaking all his bones in the fall, and being told to walk again. That’s also why he repeatedly looses control when it comes to Katsuki. First when Monoma insulted him, it was also like insulting Deku because that was someone he looked towards and followed and rooted for, and it was an insult to everything Katsuki stood for and because Deku is the ultimate hero he just couldn’t sit by and stand for that. When he lost control again at Katsuki’s death it was Deku seeing (again) everything he rooted for, strength and victory personified, literally dead. He also relies on Katsuki in the same way Katsuki relies on him, and having that taken away from him was like removing all his bones. Deku is the heart, the lungs, the brain, and Katsuki is the muscle, the bones, the cartilage. They help each other function
Katsuki is Deku’s drive to win, and Deku is Katsuki’s drive to save
Deku’s first true act of heroism was Katsuki
Katsuki’s first true act of heroism was Deku
please be gentle with me this is the first time i’m posting my thoughts like this
#mha bakugou#mha deku#mha#bkdk#bnha#character analysis#how did my smut analysis that i wrote in the middle of algebra on PAPER get more hits than this

Who's worse at Feelings? Izuku or Katsuki? And why it's Izuku.
Alrighty,I felt the need to write more about Dkbk/bkdk.
Who sucks at feelings? They both do but...
I feel this is one of the most important things about Dkbk/bkdk is,Izuku is WAY worse at feelings. Look,I know they are both shit in the talking department, but Bakugo has been much more VULNERABLE with Izuku than Izuku has with him.
(*I'd like to also add Bakugo's eyes are covered in all of these scenes. Yes,he's telling the truth, but there's still more to say.*)
Also,All Might confronting Bakugo on his feelings and him not denying it.
As for Izuku,we don't even see his THOUGHTS,and he straight up lies to Katsuki and All Might.
(*just some small examples*)
Bakugo's problem is confusion and having issues appropriately vocalizing his feelings, whilst Izuku just shuts them down entirely. Saying Izuku is like every Shonen protagonist will never not piss me off. I think a lot of the characters in bnha break the shonen formula in some way. Izuku does not want people to know about his feelings,he doesn't want to hurt Bakugo and deal with the possibility of heart break.
Izuku literally left U.A,his dream school, the school he worked so hard to get into, because Bakugo got hurt. (I guess you can say because of everyone else as well, but at least in the sub it frames it as his biggest reason being to protect BAKUGO.) How can we say he is "good at feelings" ? There is a difference in emotional intelligence and being good at feelings.
So,what is the difference?
The difference is,you can be able to sympathize and understand people's feelings easily, but it doesn't mean you're good with your own. Actually,if you are emotionally intelligent it's EASIER to avoid your feelings. Understanding your feelings and which ones you want to hide go hand in hand. If you feel something you don't like, and you don't understand it,then you can't hide what you don't know. That's why Bakugo struggled so much. He didn't understand what he was feeling, only that it made him feel weak, and since he didn't know how to hide those feelings he replaced them with a defense mechanism: Anger. Whilst Izuku can lie because he knows the answer,he knows his feelings,I personally believe it was the joint training arc that made him realize
"Oh,shit. I knew I wasn't straight, but I didn't think I was THIS gay for Kacchan."

For the five ask game, if that's still going on, how about an iideku au where OFA ships them?
Torn between thinking this means the vestiges ship them, or that it means the quirk itself is a very excitable puppy dog that wants Tenya around as much as possible...
1- Tenya did not make a great first impression on 5/7.5 vestiges. Kudo and Bruce were like 'let 👏 him 👏 speak 👏' because they do, you know, kinda think Izuku's annoying but they sorta all did a 180° turn about him after the exam when Tenya apologized and praised Izuku's choice. Most of them like him. Bruce and Kudo are wondering how this kid keeps getting people to decide to like him after all.
2- OfA reacts differently under Izuku's hands, but he never realizes it because he assumes it's his own emotions and projecting. Yeah, his quirk feels jumpy and volatile around Kacchan like he could set it off and blow up his arm too easily, and fun and bubbly around Uraraka who's sure he'll figure out how to use it soon, and ok Izuku isn't sure why OfA races up to his skin faster around Iida, pushy, but maybe it's because he feels competitive with his friend.
3- The vestiges are actually in agreement for once when Izuku looks at Tenya at the train station. That Kid Is Going To Try To Commit Murder (and probably die in the attempt). "Is that what I looked like the last time you saw me alive?" Kudo asks Bruce. "No. But it's what I looked like to Shinomori." They want to help him. They want Izuku to help him. Izuku wants to help him. But they can't do anything except try to bend the power into something Izuku can actually use, and hope it's enough when the kid jumps off the train to find Tenya.
4- Nana, romantic she is, keeps getting excited when it seems they might lean in closer, might take each other's hands. Kudo asks if she and her husband were high school sweethearts to have such optimistic expectation of such a relationship, but Banjo says that dang it, Izuku at least deserves boyfriend even if they split after school, and Yoichi who has little concept of school and had a max relationship length of two months just wants them to confess already. Tenya's admiration is clear to everyone in Izuku's head except Izuku, and they can feel the boy's heartbeat in return. But sadly, they can't do anything while Izuku can't hear them... But, once he can...
5- "Good job training today, you'll master Float as soon as it comes to you at this rate!" Nana cheers Izuku in his dreams. He blushes, still unable to talk in the fog, but they figured out how to have him write in a notebook while he's there. "Hey, you know, White Day is coming up. Any plans? I can help you make something." Izuku raises his eyebrows because he's been warned Nana is a bit of a lethal chef, and also he's already made plans to make chocolate in return for his classmates, and more than triple the chocolate covered apple slices Eri was so excited to present him with a month ago. "I mean, other than Eri and the courtesy chocolate. Any confession plans?" Izuku starts waving his hands because he didn't get any confession chocolate and haha, why would he need to give any now, and En just sighs and breaks in with a "they need a third day for gay chocolate, bet Iida-kun would have made something for you then."
Izuku is eventually cajoled into making some orange chocolate treats for Tenya, only because he'd have plausible deniability that he just wanted to gift to his friends, but then Tenya presents him with All Might shaped chocolates and admits that maybe they are not purely platonic but that he still highly values Midoriya's friendship and would never mention the feelings again if he didn't want them and completely understands rejection and truly he- wait he didn't get rejected? Wait, it's the same for Midoriya? Both of them are very red, but happy. They don't really change much, neither is one for pda and calling each other their boyfriend feels like A Lot, but they do share food more often and move to calling each other by their given name in a manner that is adorably both shy and excited. But ah, we're halfway through March, and at the end of the month...
A couple weeks later, Izuku tapes letters to the doors of his classmates, then packs a bag to go, not planning on returning to the dorms again. He picks up the little bag of All Might chocolates that he'd slowly been going through. There's only two left. He slips them into the side pocket of his bag, then slips himself out of his window and down the building to leave campus, the vestiges silent around him and his quirk burning to go back when he can't.
#but then Tenya brings Izuku back to campus and holds his hand for like a solid week. it's back to being adorable#and also then Izuku can make a joke that eating chocolate in the shape of All Might's hair is much better than actually eating a stand of it#'hey Yoichi why do you ship Izuku so much with a tall blue hair red eyes undercut boy who's both down to kill and to extend a hand'#oh no reason I'm sure.#pocket talks to people#anon#ask game

I still think its gay af that in order to even imply the off screen canonization of a ship, deku had to reject the concept of staying by kacchan's side literally. Just, he had to not want that, in order to think ochako is his most special person. Fantasy AU Izuku chose Kacchan, chose to join him, but not 431 Midoriya; we dont know how close he is with ochako in that AU, but its not highlighted, making it seem like, in order to make this pair, Izuku shouldn't want to join Kacchan.
Deku didnt even plan to go after her, Katsuki just couldn't give him a ride back home bc he had to get up early -its the mutual bkdk "rejection" ("oh sorry I cant join the agency!" and "I cant give you a ride, you'll have to walk home") what makes this implied ship.
And on top of that, we had to see it from Uraraka's point of view in order to see it romantic -we dont know what he thought when he saw her, bc there are no thoughts, just an expression that reminds us of 429 when he noticed she wasn't feeling okay. We dont see him remembering the moments they shared, is Uraraka the one that was waiting for him. We dont see him blushing while confessing wanting to see her more, just when Uraraka is pushed towards him and they get way too close. In order to make this romantic, we needed to just see her perspective and the intervention of Himiko. When he saw her at the party and realized something, he didnt get shoujo bubbles, or blush, or any of the resources they used to signify love in the manga.
I repeat: in order to make this scene romantic, we needed bkdk rejecting each other's company for the moment + make Deku not want to join him + see all of the "romantic" scenes from Uraraka's perspective + have Himiko in the middle of it telling her to live and love.
All of those things are needed in order to imply a future romance. And it ended with a bro handhold.

By the way, has anyone else noticed the similarities between these three ships?

BECAUSE I HAVE AND I CANNOT PRETEND TO BE NORMAL ABOUT IT ANYMORE
(unhinged gay screaming and rambling below the cut)
You know, "serious, deadpan gay has their heart melted by a nerdy, chaotic disaster bisexual with childhood trauma." Alternatively, "not enemies but initially on opposing sides before sun-coded breaks down moon-coded's walls and then subsequently become best friends that are closer to each other than most other people."
To start, the similarities between Lan Zhan, Cas, and Shouto:
Deadpan, cold, aloof, serious, intimidating, takes things literally
Initially driven by rigidly-defined principles/goals before having their world view altered by the other half of their ship, which in turn causes them to become more uncertain of themselves and what they want, but recognizes that they are happier and better-off for it now than they were before
They were raised in an unforgivingly strict environment where there was no margin for error, causing them to become cold and jaded in a way that covers up the fact that, at their core, they are fundamentally kind and good in a way that they don't even realize but desperately want to be
Socially awkward introverts that hate everyone but This One Person
Come across as very intimidating but are actually very soft
Surprisingly good with kids
Familial issues/trauma
They can also be identified as the "fell first" half of the relationship, and most likely fell within one of their first few interactions with their love interest
Youngest siblings
Has an obsession with a specific animal (Cas likes bees, Lan Zhan likes rabbits, Shouto likes cats)
The undisputed powerhouse of their respective series that everyone recognizes as one of, if not the strongest members of the cast
Everyone thinks they're super wise and mature, but they are actually the pettiest bitches you will ever meet
Gay and entirely obsessed with This One Person
They all have small, private conflicts about allowing themselves to Feel. They were raised to compartmentalize, repress, and conceal-don't-feel; push everything down until you are perfect and untouchable. Then their love interest comes along and upends everything and finally allows them to Feel, but because they were taught to repress everything, they don't entirely know how to do that yet, so, with the help of their love interest, they slowly heal and learn how to be more human and less like the image of untouchable, god-like perfection they were raised to be (metaphorically for lwj and Shouto, but literally in Cas's case)
(I was gonna say, "they all belong to the mile-high tall club", but then I realized that only applies to lwj and Shouto because Cas is technically shorter than Dean, lol. Though, I guess you could argue that his true form (without his vessel) is taller, but, like, c'mon)
Incredibly dry, niche sense of humor that's only really funny to This One Person
Lan Zhan and Shouto both have mothers that they love, but who were forced into an unwanted, loveless marriage by their father that led them to be increasingly isolated from their children until resulting in a psychotic break that ultimately destroyed them and drove their husbands to imprison them (Rei in the mental hospital and Lan Zhan's mother in the Jingshi)
Unrepentantly earnest and blunt with their thoughts
Completely whipped for their partner
Now! To the disasters! Wei Ying, Dean, and Izuku:
Friendly, excitable, extroverted, sunshine-y/always smiling
Near-unparalleled geniuses in their fields of interest that like to experiment and test things
Childhood trauma
The powers that be have decided that they are undesirable in some way or another, that they are a waste, disposable, an acceptable sacrifice to make in the grand scheme of things. They have all struggled with feelings of worthlessness, and have all arguably struggled with self-hatred at least once in their lives, and even if they don't actively hate themselves anymore, by and large, they do not recognize that they have value just as they are, that the only value they have lies in what they can do (or sacrifice) for others. None of them have much in the way of self-esteem or any sense of self-worth.
At their core, they want to save people.
They all have themes of being different from the negative characatures that society tried to make them into.
Extremely talkative and come across as annoying to most people
Likes kids
Reckless and jump head-first into danger at the drop of a hat
Carry feelings of guilt, have a tendency to cast blame onto themselves, takes responsibility for things that aren't their fault
They want so badly to do good, and they choose to be kind in a world that deemed them unworthy of it
Good relationships with their respective maternal figures/caretakers (Dean and Izuku with their actual mothers, and Wei Ying with Yanli)
Wise-cracking smartasses that give off dumbass energy
Bisexual
Inadvertently ends up adopting a small army of children
Deflects their traumatic experiences with jokes
Has that one female best friend that is definitely a lesbian (wwx and Wen Qing, Izuku and Ochako, and Dean and Charlie)
"Oh my God, (Cas, Lan Zhan, Shouto)! You can't just say things like that!"
They are the caretakers, the protectors, but they so rarely let themselves be cared for by others. Their respective love interests are some of the few people they feel comfortable being truly vulnerable with and will let take care of them
Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms™
In particular, I noticed a lot of uncanny similarities between Wangxian and Destiel specifically, especially in the themes and arcs that exist in both the couples and the individuals
#you will notice they are carefully organized in order of my latest obsession to my earliest obsession in descending order#disclaimer:#i know tododeku isnt canon while wangxian and destiel (mostly) are#the inclusion of them here is in acknowledgement of their canon dynamic and how it translates to a shipping context#based on the interactions they have in the series#bnha#mdzs#spn#my hero academia#grandmaster of demonic cultivation#supernatural#wangxian#tododeku#destiel#meta

MHA 430, no real spoilers to the ending but I'm also discussing my au ideas under the break too so that's why I tagged spoilers and added the bar, because there's a variety of spoilers.
That was fine I guess, could've been worse... Sad no dfo but I kinda gave up on that being good 10 chapters ago. Insert Thanos I'll do it myself gif.
5.5-6/10.
I'm gonna start my analysis + reread on Saturday I think?
Here's thoughts I already have:
- Reduce amount of students in 1-A. I realized that I can't handle 20+ main characters lol. My original idea was 5, but I've got it down to 10 by fusing characters. Izuku, Aoyama, Uraraka, Shoto, and Bakugo remain the same. I'm going to review the fusions and draw them later...
Fusions:
Sero/Kaminari/Kirishima (Reason: I get them mixed up a lot.)
Iida/Momo/Ojiro (Rich kid + I like Ojiro)
Jiro/Tokoyami/Shoji (Characters with a "dark vibe" ((emo lol)))
Mina/Tsu (I'd feel bad having one and not the other)
Koda/Sato (Honestly they're here because they're the ones I think of when I think "they got shoved aside" as well as Ojiro but I like him more.) ((... Also combine their names and you get Soda....))
Most likely to be cut: Ojiro, Sato, Koda, Sero
Cut: Mineta (Obvious reasons), Hagakure (I couldn't think of anything)
I swear there's logic here but I'm unable to explain it better lol. I'm eepy.
- Bakugo will be expelled from UA in the first arc, perhaps that'll be the conclusion of it. Possibly return in a later arc, I'm thinking the vigilante arc? Minor character. Basically a starter antagonist before the stakes ramp up.
(Results in the same amount of students as OFA users! Which I think is a nice parallel.)
- First arc will be about the class bonding since I really wanted more 1-A bonding scenes. Mainly about them helping each other. (I. E. Izuku opening up about being bullied, the class helping Shoto with the Endeavor situation, etc.) Bakugo's role will be getting in the way of this. Minor antagonist.
- LOV shouldn't be introduced until after a bond is established. Sorry Shiggy my beloved, you must wait.
- All for One dies in Kamino equivalent. (Unsure of how to set this up w/o Bakugo, maybe Midoriya's the one kidnapped?) Sorry AFO I love you so so much, but I'm killing you off. You're op as hell and the kill should be All Might's. You can come back and possess people later if you're good.
- DFO will be there as well as reducing the role AFO played in Shigaraki's backstory. Increase the role in Midoriya's life (negative).
- Aizawa will have a bit of a tweak, he'll be less physically violent with the students. (Less scarf grabby, only in extreme circumstances) Also I think having a lasting injury from the Oboro incident would be a nice touch. Give him a House MD vibe with a cane??? God I fucking loved House. Gay and homophobic, what an icon.
- Eventually I want Endeavor to go to prison or face some form of consequence. Maybe death. I was also thinking about him being tricked into helping AFO out of desperation for that number one spot. Bakugo takes his place for redemption arc?
- I don't really want to kill Midnight off... Or Twice... Or like. Any of the LOV. Need to think about that... But I know Twice's death was very important, so I might have to get over it somehow.
Not saying there won't be death, it just has to make more sense to me.
-
Wrote most of this at 2 am lol so this is probably incoherent. It's not a critique of the series, it's just my idea for the au. Like I get that classes have like 20 people in them. And that characters die. That villains die even if they're children.
I think if I plan this in arcs, I'll have the best chance of finishing it.
#mha leaks#mha manga spoilers#mha au idea#again probably doesn't make sense lol#i guess its less of a rewrite and more of like...#a my hero adjacent series i guess.

I have this ‘Fic Idea’ list I started a while back and I thought ‘man I might as well post these.’ It’s a multifandom garbage heap, take want you want? Good luck deciphering them cause I sure can’t oops
(if anything looks like a fic you have already seen 1- I might have gotten the idea from there 2- post the name/author in the comments I love finding new things to read :))
The List:
- [ ] Team red fic from Wades perspective <Marvel- Deadpool, Daredevil, Spider-Man>
- [ ] Team red fic from Matt’s perspective <Marvel- Deadpool, Daredevil, Spider-Man>
- [ ] Daredevil from Foggys perspective <Marvel- Daredevil>
- [ ] ‘Mace and Scalpel’- with Jason as Mace and Tim as Scalpel <Batman- Red Hood, Red Robin>
- [ ] Danny phantom gets adopted (marvel- adult Peter Parker?) (reverse?) (Matt Murdock and foggy?) <Danny Phantom, Marvel- Spider-Man, Daredevil>
- [ ] Outside pov of red hood and crime alley- maybe after hood gets beat near to death by Batman <Batman- Red Hood>
- [ ] Shield agent at stark industries after shield files were dropped. (Maybe retired, maybe active?) <Marvel- Iron Man>
- [ ] Spooderman Ned pov (college maybe?) (don’t fanboy don’t fanboy. ‘OMG YOURE [blank]!!’ Dang it) <Marvel- Spider-Man>
- [ ] Danny gets powers as baby. Shenanigans ensue <Danny Phantom>
- [ ] Outside POV of Danny at Casper highschool. Sam and Tucker rule with an iron fist and care deeply for their spooky friend. Danny is legit a Cryptid and Sam/Tucker will Murder anyone who tells him so bby boi is oblivious <Danny Phantom>
- [ ] Miles morales Uncle Sam Wilson (maybe friends of dad from army?) <Marvel- Avengers, Spiderverse>
- [ ] 00Q from the perspective of a Q-minion <James Bond>
- [ ] Outside POV- Mycroft’s driver <Sherlock Homes>
- [ ] Harry Potter wants to be a Pilot and by God (Merlin?) he is going to be one. Even if that mean figuring out how to make electronics work with magic. <Harry Potter>
- [ ] Izukus super duper plan to reform the hero commission and Japan law system as a whole. <My Hero Academia>
- [ ] Lucky abrums YouTube channel <Blood Battlefront Blockade>
- [ ] Hawks and the HPSC (gaslighting guilt tripping manipulation- hawks too smart n recognizes but still hard) hawks doesn’t know his own bday- all bite, no bark. Won’t fight for self, but will kill for others. <My Hero Academia>
- [ ] Snape ends up adopting Harry after parents are killed <Harry Potter>
- [ ] Bank teller in queens tells bank robbers to fuck off while Spider-Man/daredevil watches on in horror, dp is delighted and might just propose on the spot <Marvel- Deadpool, Daredevil, Spider-Man>
- [ ] Shawn Spencer, Gus takes care of all financials. Explore childhood? Case involving past trauma and how Shawn deals with it and how it reminds him of his childhood <Psych>
- [ ] Tim works at (print shop? Coffee shop?) does bat watch at night. (tweets? Or podcast? Radio?) keeps trying to dodge the bats. Got disowned by his parents when they found a gay flag or does this on the side under alt ident? Parents sold their house and went off the radar without telling Tim (he runs so he doesn’t go in the system and is presumed missing/dead with his parents) <Batman- Red Robin>

- [ ] Loke from fairy tail- slowly dying. Regulus is a power he is not supposed to have (think stars- regulus is a grouping of four(?) stars- more power? Or like that papa-logia AU where mans is literally a god of some sort). It’s the only reason he’s lived as long as he has. Maybe he doesn’t go back to star-realm and wants to be free, even if that means in death.<Fairy Tale>
- [ ] Harry Potter is a bank thief. Maybe got dropped in another world? Maybe got a taste of thievery when robbing goblin bank? Or just the world’s smallest terror ruining all of Dumbledores plans by going ‘oh most secure bank huh? Bet.’ in his first diagon ally trip and completely ignoring the dark lord problem <Harry Potter>
- [ ] Tim drake reborn as Izuku (nezu LOVES him) Might work better with a dark!Batman world leading to a very traumatized boi who takes one☝️look at Aizawa and goes ‘oh god I’ve already fucked up three sets of parents (drakes, Bruce, inko) ain’t no way I’m letting it happen again.’ Def vigilante fic and he does NOT want to go to UA which makes Nezu a little feral but guess what? NO ONE can out-feral Tim ‘Oops-my-spleen’ Drake <My Hero Academia, Batman- Red Robin>
- [ ] Person get truck-kun’d into full metal alchemist, promptly goes ‘fuck this’ and GTFOs. Sends a letter to maes cause that’s their blorbo. <Fullmetal Alchemist>
