EDIT: I've now made a post that you can read here with more information about the ICJ rulings, their powers and what we can do with this ruling here. I had to this morning and will continue to delete, report, and block all comments/asks that are anti-Arab, zionist, Islamophobic, racist, and/or antisemitic.

We already knew this but the ICJ has now ruled that Israel's continued occupation of Palestine is illegal and needs to end ASAP.

They found that Israel's occupation does not give it the right of sovereignty over the West Bank and Gaza and that it is not a temporary occupation but is an illegal, permanent and discriminatory annexation. The ICJ also found violence against Palestinians, Israeli exploitation of Palestinian natural resources, transfer of civilian population (settlers and companies/organisations), extension of Israeli laws to replace local Palestinian laws, forced displacement of Palestinians, confiscation of Palestinian land, annexation. That Israel's 'security concerns' are not valid justifications for any of these measures.

The ICJ has ordered Israel to end its presence in the West Bank and Gaza immediately and to cease all new settlement activity, return all lands and assets to Palestinians that they've ceased since 1967 and that includes archives and items of cultural significance, evacuate all of their settlers from the settlements, pay compensation, and repeal all laws that maintain this occupation and discrimination. The ICJ is not legally-binding but does carry significant political weight and this ruling is important for continuing to advocate for Palestine and to put pressure on our government's to do the right thing and for them to put pressure on Israel. In the midst of the chaos engulfing the region and the receding in media coverage, you might be misled to think the horrific war in Gaz*a has stopped. However, it breaks my heart to tell you that if anything, it only moves from bad to WORSE. Committing massacres against defenseless civilian families and children has become the ordinary instead of the horrific unordinary.

Unfortunately, the massacres and the mass destruction of our beloved Gaz*a have it into a pile of rubble and rendered the dreams and hopes of people as baseless, far-fetched, meaningless, and unrealistic daydreaming.

I was displaced with my big family five times in Gaz*a and escaped imminent death multiple times before I was evacuated to Ireland five months into the war and I can tell you from my firsthand experience that the situation in Gaz*a is beyond hellish. Can you even bear to imagine that Lifeless corpses of so many children are brought out from under the rubble of their bombed houses almost every day?!

I hate to admit that I never imagined I was this weak. I don’t have the courage or strength to bring the corpses of my future children from under the rubble in Gaza one day. I shudder and blood freezes in my veins when I imagine what could happen to my parents, brothers, sisters and their children while I am in a safe place too far away.

Therefore, I have the moral obligation to do everything in my power to secure a NORMAL, safe, and dignified life for them here. Please know exactly what you are contributing to by boosting my campaign. You are helping a Gaza family reunite in Ireland after their lives and dreams have been viciously crushed by the horrific war. And, sadly, the worst is yet to come!

Instead of getting ready for Eid festivities like they used to every year, my friend Bilal's family are still living in a makeshift tent in this sweltering heat, striving to secure the inadequate amount of food and water they can hardly come by. Since October, Israel has imposed a tight siege on Gaza, severely limiting the flow of life-saving essential food and medical items. Now, with the seizure of the Rafah crossing border which has been closed since May 7, the situation is worse than ever. Vital goods are scarce in the markets, and when they are available they're sold at exorbitant prices.

Bilal's family had to leave Rafah and go to Khan Yunis again to escape the recent massacres. It is now harder for them to provide basic needs for themselves and the children including the three newborns. The little water they manage to obtain with great difficulty is often polluted and salty. It's not even suitable for cooking regular meals for adults, let alone prepare baby bottles for three newborns if ever formula is accessible.

Every single day is a struggle for survival for Bilal's family. Their lives are constantly threatened by acute malnutrition, infectious diseases, and indiscriminate bombing. Your support has truly made a difference, but it is now needed more urgently, as the situation is getting more dire.

Suad @suad-ahmad, her infant son Khaled, her husband, and his family are trapped in Al-Bureij, central Gaza. They are completely out of funds, due to being forced to evacuate several times, as well as seek medical care for her son’s chest infection.

Now the occupation has issued an evacuation order for their location, as reported by multiple sources. A bombing attack and ground invasion are imminent. They have been displaced from their shelter, but have no money to pay for evacuation. They are stranded in the streets of Al-Bureij, and the invasion could begin at any moment! Suad’s infant Khaled is very sick with a chest infection, and antibiotics have done little for him. Being forced to dwell in the streets, amidst attack by occupation soldiers, puts his life and the lives of his family in immediate danger!

PLEASE, anyone who is able, send funds to Suad so she can try to get to safety before the IOF attacks! The sooner Suad’s goal is met, the sooner she can use the money to begin evacuation proceedings! Many people believe the border crossing will open soon, and we want Suad and Khaled to be able to evacuate ASAP!

Hurricane Milton has explosively intensified -- it went from a category 1 hurricane at 5am today to a category 5 hurricane at noon.

it is expected to decrease in intensity before it makes landfall, but it is integral to keep in mind that 1: models are sometimes wrong, 2: the area it is going to hit is roughly the same area of Florida that just got walloped by Helene, and 3: category only measures wind speed, not damage potential -- Katrina in 2005 was category 3 when it hit too.

Currently, the storm has sustained wind speeds of 175mph. Tampa is expected to get hit by 8-12ft of storm surge. 6 million people are under evacuation orders.

My friend Ahmed, his wife Maram, and their three little children Habiba (4), Kareem (2), and Muhammad (1) have been displaced multiple times in besieged Gaza. Their home was destroyed by the zionist occupation, and they have been forced to flee from place to place with no end in sight, facing famine, liver disease, skin rashes, and the recent threat of polio due to dirty drinking water. They are beyond exhausted.
