Leota Tombs is based on Madame Leota from The Haunted Mansion. She is a 43 year old immortal, store owner, and uses she/her pronouns. She has the power of mediumship, divination, and channeling. Leota is portrayed by Eva Green and she is open.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

If there was any such thing as a bridge between Evermore and the realms beyond, that bridge would be Leota Tombs herself. Her story, mysterious and filled with holes as it is, is intricately woven in the tapestry of the town along with the history of her current residence, the infamous Gracey Manor. A longtime friend of the Graceys in many decades past, full ownership of the lot was passed onto her once the sole heir, Dorian Gracey, crossed over to the other side. Ever since then, Leota has dedicated her time to preserving the mansion's local and cultural relevance, as well as ensuring the safety and comfort of her fellow housemates. All nine hundred and ninety-nine of them. What separates Leota from the other residents of Gracey Manor is that she, unlike them, has full control of her corporeal existence. Despite being long gone, the woman somehow managed to retain her fully human form, consolidating her as the portal between Evermore and that which inhabits the manor. If you'd like a tour of the place, to join in one of the frequent ghostly balls with music and dance or to attend an acapella performance in the mansion's graveyard, your only choice is to go through Leota first. The vast majority of the ghosts know better than to reveal themselves without the safety ensured by her gifts; except for the occasional hitchhiking ghost. To anyone looking to meet the fabled medium outside of the mansion's grounds, you might find her at Memento Mori, a little shop located at the heart of Evermore. There, along with a plethora of supernatural offerings, you'll have the opportunity to purchase a reading from Leota herself, or even partake in one of her popular séances. Who knows, she might even invite you to visit Gracey Manor itself! There are nine hundred and ninety-nine ghosts there, but there's always room for one more.

❀ Casper Kowalski: While Leota believes death should be celebrated, younger ghosts can be a bit tricky, especially ones as gentle as Casper. The doors of the haunted mansion are always open to them. ❀ Bill Cipher: A most strange entity, perhaps even stranger than the ones residing in the manor's attic. Leota isn't afraid of Bill in the slightest, but she knows better than to let a being so destructive set foot within manor grounds. ❀ Zelda Borne: Her talent for the occult arts is undeniable, and it reminds Leota of a younger version of herself – or close enough, for one can't replicate excellence. She'd happily be willing to mentor the girl, and free of charge, too!

Elizabeth was born into a wealthy Irish family, so her background very much mirrors Ciaran’s. She was a high-bred lady of her time, but also outspoken and somewhat of a tomboy. At some point in her life she was turned into a supernatural. How this happened is entirely UTP. As she and Ciaran moved further into adulthood with no romantic prospects, their fathers engineered a meeting and ‘encouraged’ an engagement. The two were in their early twenties at the time, and it is preferred that Elizabeth were already a supernatural at that time, or not long after if that’s the case.

She is Ciaran’s ex-fiancé.

Their engagement was broken off after maybe a year or two, but they remained close friends. Elizabeth always suspected that Ciaran was gay, and was nothing but supportive to him even though they were intimate before marriage. She was the one that he went to sometime after he was turned, and he was surprised to find her rather unchanged and maybe a little too understanding about his current state. They never met again after that.

🌈 is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?

I struggled the entire time trying to get through Ghosts That We Knew, the conclusion to the Picture Perfect series. I honestly hadn't planned to write a whole ass trilogy. Dark Side was the only one I had an idea for, and then halfway through, people wanted more. So I started planning the sequel, Come Back to Me. I'm not a fan of duologies. Trilogies just make more sense. So I started thinking up plots for the third entry. Where could Tony and Loki go after marrying and having two kids (one through a relationship, the other through a surrogate)? What kind of problems would they face? I had no idea, lol. I knew I wanted to insert another kid (Audrey Maria or "Audi"), but I also wanted to show that after 8 years and 3 kids, even the most in-love couples have bad times. I'd gotten about halfway through and just blanked on where to go. It didn't help I was having outside issues -- my RP partner (whom I was in love with) and I were having issues, I was stressing about school, and my dad was having health problems at the time. Oh, and I was struggling to RP too. But I was able to pull something out in the end. And everyone seemed to enjoy it. 😁

Umm....I'm not sure what "celebrate" means?? I might give myself a mental high five? Say yay? LOL

🤍what’s one fic of yours you think people didn’t “get”?

It's not a fic that's completed, nor is it posted on AO3 anymore, but it's Fools Rush In. It was Frostiron set in the Matthew Perry/Salma Hayek movie. First time I was writing fem!Loki and even tho I only published like 4 or 5 chapters, I got complaints that Loki was "too feminist" and "obsessed with her dad's [Odin's] opinions about what a woman her age should be doing." To be clear, Loki was a 28yo grad student who'd been adopted by the Odinsons as a baby and at 13, chose to search for her birth parents who were teenagers when she was born. She was the youngest in the Odinson clan (Thor and Baldur being older) and the oldest in the Laufeyson family (Helblindi and Býleistr were much younger). And the only girl. So Odin certainly had a lot of opinions about her needing to be settled and married, not living with her bestie (Natasha) in an apartment in a big city.

This isn't the reason the fic is incomplete, tho! I removed it, along with four other fics, from AO3 and ff.net bc I'd reached a block on all of them and I felt bad just letting them sit there unfinished. I do hope to complete them someday. But we'll see. Here's a banner I made for it, when I still thought Olivia Wilde was a good choice for fem!Loki. I do not anymore.
