just finished archon quest and, along with your n/euvi hcs, I can’t stop thinking about this

n/euvi having a cold (or allergies, whatever you might prefer to fantasize about) and being totally helpless about it, probably so much as to create huge waves.

Maybe he’s been suppressing and holding back symptoms during a trial but sometime after it’s finished and everyone has gone back to their business a sea storm starts brewing. That kinda sets off the alarms in f/ontaine but no one knows what’s going on until the traveler, who was probably in p/oisson chatting with n/avia notices the raging waters. Alarmed, they go to p/alais m/ermonia to inform the i/udex, only to find him completely miserable and unable to holdback anymor, sneezing all he has accumulated (hence creating all that chaos within the h/ydro element).

They ended up having to call s/igewine who scolded the hell outta him not before preparing some medicine.

Querem esquecer o 8 de janeiro – mas não vamos deixar

Bom dia! 

Desde 8 de janeiro de 2023 eu tenho buscado entender o significado da invasão golpista à Praça dos Três Poderes. Li tudo que pude, cobri duas CPIs, analisei documentos sigilosos e produzi inúmeras reportagens para a Agência Pública sobre o assunto. Eu já sabia que os bolsonaristas tinham usado força, fogo e água para destruir o patrimônio da nossa história. Mas eu só tinha visto os estragos pelas lentes dos talentosos fotógrafos que documentaram os ataques. 

No final do ano passado, quase um ano depois daquele fatídico dia, euvi a destruição com meus próprios olhos – e isso me marcou. Para relembrar o primeiro aniversário da tentativa de golpe, tinha me proposto a produzir uma reportagem sobre como as visitas guiadas oficiais aos prédios da Praça dos Três Poderes estão contando a história do 8 de janeiro. 

Durante a visita ao Supremo Tribunal Federal, me deparei com estilhaços de um espelho do século 19 que fazia parte da sede do STF no Rio de Janeiro, e os cacos de um bengaleiro de porcelana que não pôde ser restaurado. Também vi uma cadeira de trabalho e um exemplar da Constituição, ambos queimados. 

Essas são algumas das peças danificadas no 8 de janeiro expostas nos “pontos de memória”, uma iniciativa da ministra Rosa Weber, então presidente do tribunal, a fim de “contribuir para que esse dia não caia no esquecimento, ou mesmo seja banalizado com o passar do tempo”, como explica um texto escrito na parede.

Outra espécie de obra me chamou atenção. Protegidas por uma redoma de vidro, como é comum com presentes oficiais e obras de arte, estavam as pedras portuguesas retiradas da pavimentação da Praça dos Três Poderes e as bolas de vidro usadas no 8 de janeiro para “quebrar vidraças, estilhaçar espelhos, destruir estruturas de vidro e danificar esculturas”. 

Vendo pessoalmente aqueles objetos quase pude ouvir os gritos por intervenção militar entoados durante seu lançamento. Ali, senti intensamente a força dos ataques.

Participei duas vezes de cada visita guiada ao STF e ao Congresso Nacional, mas não pude ir ao Palácio do Planalto, que também foi alvo dos ataques, mas está com visitas suspensas desde 2020. Foi assim que descobri que dos três prédios invadidos, somente o STF preserva, no dia a dia, a lembrança do que ocorreu em 8 de janeiro. As demais instituições escolheram, após terem seus vidros e carpetes trocados, seguir com suas visitas oficiais como se nada tivesse acontecido. 

No Congresso Nacional, por exemplo, peças restauradas foram recolocadas em seus lugares sem menção aos ataques e o roteiro oficial da visita não cita o 8 de janeiro. Quando questionei o guia sobre os estragos sofridos no plenário da Casa, ele respondeu rapidamente, sem dar muitos detalhes. 

Em resposta à Pública, o Congresso Nacional disse que o motivo da visita é "apresentar o patrimônio artístico e arquitetônico do palácio" e que no início de 2023 "os visitantes questionavam mais" sobre os danos do 8 de janeiro, o que foi diminuindo "com o passar dos meses". Será que não é justamente porque os visitantes perguntam menos, apenas um ano depois do ocorrido, que deveríamos lembrá-los mais? 

Ver o estrago com meus próprios olhos tornou ainda mais indigesta a violência daquele dia. Para muitos, seria mais conveniente que o 8 de janeiro fosse esquecido. Mas nós não podemos deixar isso acontecer. Precisamos lembrar eventos traumáticos para preservar a história e impedir a impunidade. E o jornalismo também serve para evitar que crimes, violações e abusos sejam varridos para debaixo do tapete, como é tão comum no Brasil.
