as a self-proclaimed Final Fantasy enthusiast I recommend it to everyone 👍 - ESPECIALLY bc of how different all the games are so there's like one for everybody :3 (they may be numerical but unless they have the SAME number the games aren't related so you really can just enjoy a few of the games without having to know all of them)

In a biased (whoops) opinion - the original FFVII (7) & the new remakes are very cool and I recommend those 100% they make me scream, sob, roll around on the floor in agony /pos - I have so much love for them you don't understand - I ALSO BELIEVE FFVII is known as a really good starting point for the series? so more points for it :3

FFXV (15) seems very cool & has kept appearing in my vision and honestly is next on my list i think (i think it has very mixed reviews? but pshhh looks cool) - another very good story with a GOOD amount of angst (every game,,, so angsty)

FFIX (9) is also apparently really good! it was overshadowed at the time of release (different aesthetic to what people wanted & were into at the time/had to compete with FFVII which was EXTREMELY critically acclaimed/I believe it was released at the literal end of the Playstations life so people weren't that interested in it) but the story & characters are soooooo cool that it needs to be played and appreciated (pretty sure the story is really depressing lmao) - ALSO I think it might be getting a remake? unsure may have to fact-check that one

Embarrassingly, I've only listened to a handful of new music this year if we're talking about album of the year in terms of stuff that was released in 2024 (though brat has been on repeat quite a bit recently).

But I think Genesis Owusu's Struggler is the one I listened to the most.

Tgaa specifically ^^ (totally not using this to get fanfic recs Nuh-uh but if you want to throw in some I won’t be mad)

I'm honestly pretty bad at keeping track of the fanfic I've read (i only recently defrosted my ao3 acc and have mainly been reading as a guest oopsie), and I'm not good at picking favourites...

but if I have to choose my fav tgaa fic, then I'm going to bend the rules a bit and recommend the collection Old MenBaros - Retirement, Death and Beyond by barschter000. honestly, tgaa is the first fandom I've really actively been a part of in a while (and the nicest one, honestly...) but I was very involved in the malloysical fandom when I was 13-16 or so! I dont interact with the fandom much nowadays though, but I do still enjoy malloysicals

I don't like the headcanon(?) that a lot of people have around barok that he's like. a dominant bad boy grrrr or whatever. that's just not how he is to me. he honestly comes across as awkward and shy to me, hidden behind a mask of drama and darkness

I am fucking ecstatic over the ace attorney announcement. its a re-release of 2 spin off games, with one of them being PORTED TO ENGLISH FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! once its released, every ace attorney game (excluding the crossovers) will have modern re-releases and be in english, so HOPEFULLY it means they're working on ace attorney 7!!!! (it's been like 9 years since a new mainline ace attorney game, and 7 years since any new game includ. spinoffs)

I am really sad about tomodachi life though, I love it and I still play it on my 3ds!! (I've had the same one since like 2015 it still works lol) I wish they'd make a new one, hopefully with gay people, more gender options and customisations, but keep the glitter room I love it

It's SO cool that you finally get ALL the games though!! That's really exciting & I hope you eat them up!! I'm honestly kinda intrigued about Ace Attorney as a whole (I've played the first case/like half-way through the second one from the first game of the Phoniex Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy,,, so really not that much LMAO) and I kinda want to keep going but I keep forgetting :3 BUT the news about these re-releases has gotten me interested again and I may continue. Honestly I DO hope they make another new game for you guys - being a lawyer is a fun concept for a game and maaaaaybe it'll keep pushing me to get through them

...I'm so devastated about the no Tomodachi Life 😔 (/jk im totally fine about it I swear) - I lost my original game bc my old 2DS (yes I was one of those) broke FOREVER ago and I brought a Switch rather than another DS so I had to give my games away </3 BUT I semi-recently brought a 3DS and modded it & got Tomodachi Life back so I guess I'll keep playing that one - I'm just a LITTLE salty becuase they ported Miitopia?? (which do NOT get me wrong I LOVE that game I completed the 3DS one in like a day or 2 after I got it) and gave us SO much new customizable abilities that would be Perfect for Tomodachi Life and then they just continue to deny us :( *SIGH* Oh Well 😔

(I will say it IS kinda funny that they were like "yeah we'll let you be gay in the next Tomodachi Life" and then just,,, never made one LMAO)

I hold A LOT of the seasons near and dear to my heart (I like a lot of them just because its Ninjago lmao) but MAN it has got to be a toss-up between Possession and Prime Empire.

I like Possession a lot (not because of Morro, he's okay but not that interesting to me) - it's a Lloyd-centred season/the Ninja having to deal with losing their elements "for the first time properly"/Nya getting to become a Ninja AND seeing her full potential/the last glimpse at Sensei Garmadon/it always has me on the edge of my seat when the town is literally being ripped apart ouughhh

HOWEVER Prime Empire SPEAKS to me - I'm a BIG videogame/technology nerd and I've always LOVED the trope of being stuck in a videogame/Superstar Rocking Jay is amazing and I love him so much - Jay was actually like my second fave when i first started watching so this season was very cool to me/the Jaya moments are adorable/the scenery and music??? Gorgeous, sue me/THE OUTFITS, BOTH THE GI'S WHICH I LOVE THE HELMETS IVE ALWAYS LOVED THOSE SILLY GLASSES THAT DO THE EMOTICON FACES AND ALSO THE AVATARS??? FLAWLESS, AGAIN SUE ME/Scott is very cool/the whole like 60's(?) Detective bit with Pixane??? My babies I love them so much - especially since Pixal is my second fave now

So uh, I think I may have to go with Prime Empire being my favourite - just a hunch 🧍‍♂️
