Guys I loved Sirens of the Deep, but I'm absolutely unwell about how the version in the film is seemingly told the way Jaskier chooses to remember it, rather than as the true, tragic ending explained in the book.

Kindly read this excerpt from Sword of Destiny if you feel like getting your heart broken, because not enough people are talking about this right now:

"...He, Dandelion, had carried her out in his arms and had buried her far from the city, in the forest, alone and peaceful, and, as she had asked, buried two things with her: her lute and her sky blue pearl."

This first time I thought Jaskier was making the mug appear from nowhere 😅. No he is simply stealing Geralt's ale. Only to spit all of it on him the next second 😮‍💨

SIREN'S OF THE DEEP SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT

Essie was a massive let down. Her VA's fake English accent ruined it for me. There was little to no real emotion in her voice and her tone fell flat. A huge disappointment for someone who has been looking forward to her character, on screen, for ages now.

Geralt was impressive. His dialogue, his heart, the way he spoke to Jaskier and others around him. Something Henry Cavill could never give us. "Hmm....Fuck." was the extent of his emotional depth.

Jaskier, as always, was an absolute delight. Joey's inflection, heart, depth of character and love for the story shines through in every scene. Also, sword fighting Jaskier is HOT. SINGING JASKIER IS ALWAYS MY FAVE.

I have more thoughts but I'm tired. So perhaps I'll share them later. Please don't hate me too much. It's mostly Essie's VA I had the problem with (and a wee bit of her character design but lol)

Overall it was good. For me, not great, but I'll definitely watch it again. Also, please, let's collectively hope for a full version of A Little Sacrifice on the soundtrack for Season 4!!
