You needed to escape before he started questioning you. This shouldn't have happened. You were in a massive mess. "Y/N?" He called out,

You fought back the tears threatening to spill, terrified of how he would react if he learned the truth. You were anxious about your job, fearing he might fire you on top of everything else, and you worried about the pregnancy too. How could you have let it slip so easily, especially the pregnancy? Jungkook was quick to catch up with you, grabbing your arm to halt your steps.

He was done with your half-truths, he wanted the whole story or nothing at all. You never gave him the option of nothing; you always gave him more reasons to overthink, and he had enough of it. "Enough of the crap, Y/N." His voice was filled with urgency and anger. You stopped, feeling his tight grip on your wrist, and swallowed hard, knowing he wouldn't let this go. You didn't face him, staring blankly at the ground while he stood behind you, both of you struggling to catch your breath from the chase.

He moved to stand in front of you, just a few feet away, trying to make eye contact, but you weren't ready to meet his gaze. His intense stare, however, felt like it was burning through you, leaving you no choice but to look at him. Jungkook tried to read your expression, to understand the issue or even guess it, but he couldn't.

You had perfected a mask to hide your emotions, and it was working; he couldn't decipher what you were feeling. "What is all this about?" He finally voiced his frustration. If you wouldn't speak first, he would. He would do whatever it took to find out what you had been whispering and what you had screamed about moments ago. "What is what about?"

"Oh, not again," he groaned, turning aside and rubbing his forehead. "Y/N, don't play with me." "Mr. Jeon—" "Cut the formalities," Jungkook interrupted, stepping closer with a piercing gaze that only intensified your fear. His body language was sharp and forceful, though he maintained a respectful distance between you. "What do you mean by 'kill your child'?"

His question left you feeling exposed, your heart pounding in your chest. Everything was unraveling. The one person you wanted to avoid was now demanding answers. Deny, deny, deny. It was your only option. "What are you talking about?" You laughed nervously, avoiding his intense eye contact. Diverting his attention seemed like the best strategy. "When did I say that? What does it even mean?" Jungkook exhaled deeply, his anger simmering beneath the surface.

"Tell me, Y/N! Just tell me, stop covering this up!" "What are you asking me? When did I ever say—" "Fucking tell me!" he yelled, his face flushing red with anger. He couldn't let this go. It echoed through your bones. He was desperate to understand the meaning behind your words and why you had said them. You stared at the ground, questioning all your life choices. Your gaze fell on his polished black office shoes while he continued to watch you, waiting for an answer. 'No, Y/N. You can't tell him.' But what else can you do? Who can you confide in about this? He has the right to know, doesn't he?

Jungkook counted the seconds, biting his inner cheeks with each passing moment. "i asked you something." He noticed your quickened breathing and realized you were hiding something significant. No one would react this way if it were trivial. You glanced at Jungkook and then at your fingers, which you had been fiddling with for hours. You were grateful for his patience, waiting for you to find the right words. You weren't just his employee; you were part of his past and now his future too. Even though it was just one night, that night had its significance.

What was supposed to be a simple fling had led to this situation. If Jungkook and you had never met and were merely employee and boss, this drama would never have occurred. But now, because of that night, everything was complicated.

His instinctive and quick reaction made you chuckle.

"I don't understand this, Y/N. Stop beating around the bush for God's sake." "What more do you want me to tell you?" "So you're telling me that you're pregnant and that kid is mine? Are you insane?" You laughed out loud sarcastically with tears at his reaction. Of course, that was expected. No man, especially someone like Jeon Jungkook, would readily believe a normal, middle-class woman claiming to have his baby.

Jungkook was trying to process everything, but his mind felt like it had shut down. "You don't have to believe me. It's exactly why I told you it's nothing. You've got money, reputation. There's no way you're going to accept what I say," you spoke, and he tried to calm his mind. He didn't want to leave this conversation without fully understanding everything.

You pointed out the same things every woman he'd met did—money and reputation. At least he was glad that you weren't trying to manipulate him. "How are you so sure it's me? It could be anyone—your boy—" "I'm not in any relationship, and neither have I slept with anyone except you. That explains everything."

Your voice trembled with anger. You were having the worst time of your life since finding out about the pregnancy, and now he was implying it was an act for money. "Why haven't you gotten rid of it yet? If this is a mistake, then why?" The anger inside you turned into sadness, confusion, and guilt. You couldn't meet his gaze, feeling his eyes burning into you. Jungkook clenched his jaw, memories of that night flashing through his mind. "Answer me." He spoke softly, almost a whisper, desperate to understand. He knew you weren't someone who would do anything for money and status. Anyone else in your place would have gotten rid of it, but you hadn't. "I-I don't know."

You stammered, your words barely audible. You gulped, taking a deep breath as your chest tightened. Being questioned was the worst situation to be in. "Why don't you know? You said this is a mistake. What's stopping you from correcting it?" It felt like your heart was in your mouth, and you couldn't speak. Your hands were numb, and you were sweating despite the air-conditioned room. "I-I don't know." "You can't say you don't know! There has to be an answer—"

His voice grew louder, ringing in your ears and making you question everything. "What do you mean you don't—" "I'm scared. I'm just so scared to take a step. I'm alone in this! I don't know what to do, who to ask. I'm so stressed out, my mind isn't working. I'm so fucked up!" You blurted out everything in your mind, bursting into tears. The pressure you had been holding inside finally released, and you felt a bit of relief.

"I'm sleep-deprived, I can't focus, I can't make a decision!" "Why don't you just get rid of it?" "Because it makes me feel guilty!" You looked up to meet his eyes, his furrowed brows and worried eyes showing that your words affected him. He didn't fully understand, but he was trying, and he could see why you'd been acting strangely. You weren't okay.

He could see it now, you were vulnerable, not because you wanted to show it, but because your emotions could no longer be contained. "It makes me feel guilty. I tried to do it, but it wasn't working out."

Jungkook decided to give you time, not wanting to push further questions considering how much was on your mind and heart. He had to calm you down but didn't know how. He'd never helped a woman calm down before. "First, breathe. Take a deep breath." You followed his instructions, controlling your tears until they stopped. "Okay? Can we talk calmly now?" You nodded, and he did too. "Do you want to keep it or not? I need a clear answer. Whatever it is, I will support you in any way I can."

You looked up at him, seeing his seriousness. You had a decision in mind but weren't sure how he could support you. But that was something to address after giving him the answer he sought.

Chapter 1

It’s a friday night and Sohee, your best friend ever since elementary school, is asking you to follow her to meet her friends at a bar, or maybe more of forcing you… “Come on! It’ll be fun I promise! They are all superrr chill and plus, you definitely need to get the experience of going to a bar! Pleaseeeeee” This was the fifth time today Sohee had tried to convince you to follow her. “Sohee, I don’t even know who your friends are, and I don’t like to go to bars” you sighed again, but with the look your best friend is giving you right now and the determination in her voice, you decided that there was no point arguing further, finally agreeing with an “Okay, fine! Just this once okay?”

Upon hearing your agreement, Sohee jumps up and screams, making you wince and cover your ears in pain from her high pitched cry. She begins to pull you into her bathroom and take out all the cosmetic supplies you can think of and starts putting on her make up. It takes an hour for both of you to get ready before she brings you to take a cab to the bar.

Reaching the bar, Sohee grasps onto your arm as she swerves you both amongst the crowd in the bar. Soon you both reach a table occupying about five other people, who you assumed were her friends. “ yn, these are my friends, jennie, jimin, taehyung, hoseok, namjoon and jungkook!” she points to each one of them as she mentions their names. You two sit down and you end up sitting opposite “Jungkook” who intimidates you slightly with his full sleeve tattoo and eyebrow and lip piercing.

A few hours and many bottles of soju and beer later, Sohee and Jennie were dancing on the tables, and Jimin, Tae, Hoseok and Namjoon were laughing around. Jungkook was the only one who seemed to be still sober, along with you. “Hey, I’m going out for a smoke, wanna join?” Jungkook whispers into your ear against the loud music blasting in the bar. “I don’t smoke though…” you whispered back. “It’s fine, you can just tag along if you want,” Jungkook chuckles and grabs his belongings, walking outside. He doesn’t seem as intimidating despite his appearance as you had thought.

“Sohee! Ill be heading out okay? Don’t do anything dangerous okay?” You shouted to her across the blaring music. She gives you a half assed nod, probably because she was so intoxicated, and continues dancing on the tables with Jennie. Shaking your head in embarassment, you head outside the bar, in search for the tattooed man whom you had just met a few hours ago.

“Wow, didn’t think you would actually come, you kinda looked frightened of me at the start” Jungkook chuckled as he blew out a puff of smoke. You smiled at his response, “I just couldn’t take how noisy and chaotic the bar was, and you seem not too bad, you’re more relaxed than the rest” you replied laughing. You both stand in silence for awhile as Jungkook continues to take puffs from his cigarette, before stomping on it using his black combat boots on the ground.

“Are you going back in already?” You question him. “Well, not that I want to, but if you want, we could go and get some ice cream? I know a convenience store nearby?” He suggests. Without doubt, you nod your head and follow his lead out of the alleyway next to the bar. As you guys are walking, you begin to stare and observe the many tattoos decorating his sleeve, seeing the intricate details of the drawings on his arm. Jungkook feels your gaze from behind and turns around, and explains, “I work at a tattoo parlor, so its easy for me to get all these tattoos done! I also do piercings so I pierced these myself,” he says as he gestures towards the eyebrow and lip piercing on his face. Your mouth gaped in wonder as you stared at the round ball on his eyebrows. You two then continue walking towards the convenience store.

Walking in the store, you gasped as you see the new strawberry ice cream in the freezer compartment that you had been looking for the past three weeks. You hurriedly open the drawer and grab the pink plastic wrapped around the long lost strawberry ice cream and excitedly showed it to Jungkook. “Oh. My. Gosh! You don’t know how long I have been looking for this! It’s finally here!!!” You exclaim as Jungkook cocks his eyebrow in amusement. He laughs to himself when you squeal to yourself and whispers a “cute” under his breath, but you don’t need to hear it. 

Jungkook picks out a mint choco ice cream to which you scrunch your nose in disgust of his choice (i actually love mint choco pls dont attack me HAHHAHA) and proceeds to go to the counter with you trailing behind him. “That would be $4.50 please” the cashier says. Before you can whip out cash from your wallet, Jungkook swipes his black credit card across the reader. “Hey! I can pay for my ice cream! Take my cash please” you say as you try to shove the $2 note into his hands. “Nono, keep it please” he argues back “No I can’t!” you continue to exclaim as he carries the plastic bag of your ice creams out the store. “Then you can pay me back another time if you really want” Jungkook smiles at you as he says “Now, just enjoy your ice cream,” He says and passes your strawberry ice cream, helping you rip open the pink packaging.

“Mint choco sucks, why would you choose it?” You eye his ice cream in disgust. “What?! Mint choco is the best!” Jungkooks eyes widen in offence as he exclaims at your statement. “Eww, you’re basically eating toothpaste at this point!” You laugh as he pouts slightly at your statement. “At least try a bite! Trust me it isn’t as bad as you say,” Jungkook reasons, offering his half bitten ice cream to you. You bite off a small bit of the ice cream, and fake gag to show Jungkook just how disgusting the flavour was. He laughs at your act and continues to walk towards the bar as you follow him.

You both begin to eat your ice cream in silence as you walk back towards the bar. Finishing your ice creams in time, you enter back and sit next to Sohee who was back in her seat at the table. “Where were the two of you? I kept walking around to find you yn!” Sohee says, now seemingly less drunk than before. “Oh I just went for a walk to get some fresh air” you replied. Sohee eyes Jungkook next, who responds, “I went for a smoke! I declared it just now but obviously you guys were too busy dancing on the table to hear me” he chuckles.

“Let’s keep this a secret” you see Jungkook mouth at you after awhile, and you nod back. You secretly hoped to yourself that you would see Jungkook again soon, as you had began to take a liking for him.

Hi! I saw this post, and I was wondering if Anton could actually be an ISTP (or INFJ or ISFP)? Like, hear me out (sorry if I made a mistake, I am not too involved in MBTI):

Se because he was a swimmer, a celloist, then became an idol and is into music production. And he even took part in the music production of a movie. This seems more like Se than Ne because Ne is more concerned with entertaining the possibilities/ideas while Se is concerned with actually doing things and interacting with the physical environment.

I even remember seeing a post where after seeing EXO, he grasped the opportunity to become an idol so he doesn’t miss out and regret later on, which seems like Se-Ni mentality imo.

And Shotaro and Seunghan even once said that while in the US, Anton had a list of things to do and when Taro suggested going somewhere out of the blue, he got upset and said that “when you go somewhere, you plan it”. I admit this made me think of him as an INTJ, but I don’t see Se inferior (I always look into inferior functions while typing someone). This seems like Ni, because of the specific vision he was pursuing (like the planning) and getting upset because of his plans getting disrupted by Shotaro (if Anton were a Ne user, I assume he’d change his plans and tag along).

And from his W Korea interview: “I made music out of curiosity because I was curious about what would happen if I made music while being exposed to good music.” This seems like Ni-Se behaviour. Ni speculates about how things would go and potential implications when it comes to a new idea. They are very attracted to abstract concepts or things that appear like a mystery to them. And I kinda see Se in the sense that he is relying on the external environment to guide him ahead (like the exposure to good music).

I don’t have strong arguments regarding Ti-Fe, but in the Talk Saxy reaction (especially Sohee’s bridge), he was more concerned with the production of the bridge, which seems like Ti to me since I feel like Ti is concerned with how things work, and they usually like to look into the internal process of a system. And maybe him not being expressive could be a sign of inferior Fe? He’s kinda like Eunseok but rather shy and soft while my man Eunseok took the stone in “silver stone” too seriously. But at the same time, I also don’t know about Fi-Te. Ti-Fe and Fi-Te can be hard to distinguish at times, hehe.

But honestly, Anton’s one of the hardest to type simply because of how shy and introverted he is. But I do think that he could be an INxJ or an ISxP. (And I will never forgive PDB for ruining his consensus cause there’s no way he’s an INxP, and most INxP voters don’t even have any proper arguments besides him being quiet and shy and sweet and caring and all and the whole vibe-typing which also ruined Wonbin’s consensus in the beginning)

Ooooh those are some interesting observations 🤔🤔 I was planning to redo my guesses on them someday, after I finish some of my other drafts first lol. But with your observations, he could be an Ni-Se user rather than Ne-Si... The only ones I'm very sure about are Wonbin = ISTJ and Shotaro = ESFJ. Eunseok seems like he uses Ti the most and Fe inferior...

But yeah you're definitely right about how he is a bit tricky to type considering how quiet and private he is compared to the others. He does seem to lead with an introverted function though. It hasn't been a full year since their debut yet, so hopefully Anton will open up a little more throughout his career and make it a bit easier to determine his functions.

this week’s episode of BEYOND INFINITE asks the fresh units from last week to put their choreographing skills to the test, as they put together their moves in hopes of advancing towards the next round. once more, the audience holds the fate of our contestants in their hands, so don’t forget to open your ENCORE app and vote along!

the episode kicks off with the four remaining units being presented with their songs for the week. IN ORBIT is assigned ‘Stupid Love’ by S-DIVISION, DIMENSION is given ‘Shut It Down’ by CRYSTYLE, OEGYEIN will be covering ‘After School’ by LIMIT/LESS, and SEEKERS will perform ‘New Dance’ by STUPID CUPID. unlike last week all of the contestants seem positively excited and ready to get started on their training for the week. however, as the week kicks off it appears that tensions start to run high as some contestants’ creative input clashes and their nerves for the performance of the week begin to build.

OEGYEIN seems to have trouble falling into a rhythm together, often stumbling over each other and forgetting the choreography during their practice time. most groups appear to have similar problems, with even star dancer Haruka struggling to remember the choreography at times. Haneul jokes that this week might be cursed when all of the contestants are having lunch together, and while most contestants laugh at this Yoonah and Minsun in particular do not seem to think it funny.

even Chaewon, who has up until now mostly focussed on the success of her teammates, fears that she might be disappearing into the background. Jiwoo tries to reassure her, but Yerin agrees and tells Chaewon that she should try and step it up in their next performance. despite Chaewon’s worries Jiwoo insists that Haruka should become the leader this week, as she is the strongest leader and it might help the group to better find their rhythm again. 

on the main stage, MC Sohee welcomes the viewers and the audience, and reminds them that the fate of the contestants is entirely in their hands. this week, another unit will leave the show, and the votes of the audience will determine which fifteen contestants will advance to the next episode.

the first to perform this week is DIMENSION, who clearly benefited from asking Haruka to be their leader that week. the girls all shine on stage, visibly having a lot of fun once more. the judges do comment that the girls sounded a little out of breath during times where the choreography was particularly intense, but after that they heavily compliment Haruka on her skills. it’s evident that Haruka is the favored contestant again this week, even before the other units have gotten a chance to perform.

next, OEGYEIN takes the stage. the contestants start off their performance strong, but eventually just like during the rehearsals the girls forget steps and even bump into each other. Yeonhee especially seems to throw all of the contestants off balance, going so far as walking left when she should go right at one point. the judges chide them for not being attuned to each other, as well as their seeming inability to remember a choreography they themselves came up with. 

IN ORBIT, despite also giving a weaker performance than the audience is used to, has an easy time playing off of each other and visibly enjoys being on stage together, making the judges and the audience look more favorably towards their performance. even the judges agree that chemistry and good stage presence can make up for a lot, but judge Minji does comment that the performance should always come first, and they should focus more on developing their skills if they make it to the next episode.

finally, SEEKERS closes the episode with their performance. while they have put together a strong choreography, the song they’re performing is very joyful and the judges feel like that joy is missing from their performance. the judges agree that they give very technically strong performances, but must also be exciting and enjoyable to look at, which they are currently not. in the coming week, if they remain on the show, Jenny tells them that they should work on their connection and stage presence, as nobody will be fans of a group who looks like they don’t like each other.

with this final feedback, the audience has a last few minutes to enter their votes before the ranking of the weeks are unveiled. as she had feared, Chaewon dropped a few places in the ranking, with Yerin instead benefiting from the group’s strong performance and finally rising in the ranks. Jiwoo and Jimin remain in their respective first and second places, with Haruka’s strong leadership and dance skills helping her rise to third place. it is OEGYEIN, seemingly inevitably, who ranks the lowest of all the units.

the girls seem deeply upset but reserved as they all thank the audience and the jury for their time, with Yeonhee taking the time to apologize to the other group members for her mistakes. they all seem truly disappointed in their departure, but they also seem to have formed a strong bond as they continue hugging while exiting the stage. 

MC Jackson thanks the contestants, audience, and judges for their time this weeks, and reveals that next week will be the final week of five-member unit performances, in which one unit will be forced to face off against each other. he reminds the audience to keep an eye on their ENCORE app, and to continue wishing the best for their favorite contestants!

Once a scorpio fully trusts you or has something they genuinely want to tell you they just keep GOING. And the same probably applies to him especially since his Mercury is in Sag. In the beginning he might seem hard to crack or not one to spare many details but once he's sure of you and you two are officially together and solidified oh he's a plain open book. Ofc he's not gonna pour every aspect of his heart out but being secretive really won't be an issue. He has an aspect of sun and uranus so he won't really act in ways that aren't true to him, his freedom, or expression so he'd practice authenticity even within the relationship so you better be in it for the real him !!

Libra Moon: Similar to Wonbin he'd be pretty considerate and would weigh pros and cons before doing anything to ensure fairness. His chart makes up of placements centered around truth, fairness and morals so ngl being equal+in balance is something he'd want for the relationship. Sometimes there's a tendency for Libra moons to end up complacent or non argumentative to keep the peace but I think it wouldn't be as severe considering his sag placements. Rather than being complacent he'd be pretty passive, he'd be willing to engage in trivial debates and significant convos but wouldn't break his neck to prove his point or show that he's right unless it was absolutely necessary. His moon is sextile his venus so emotional balance is crucial so he'd avoid constant disturbances in the relationship so you two remain in harmony; downside he might become TOO passive and too invested in harmony to where needed conflicts are dismissed or he doesn't express himself fully.

Sagittarius Mercury: So...blunt LMFAOO. Honestly Sohee probably says crazy stuff or is more sassy behind closed doors he has sm mercury aspects even some with pluto and mars. He might be conflicted sometimes, has moments of being super blunt and even saying stuff without thinking and then his libra moon brings him back into peaceful mode and he's like "uuuhm my bad". Probably likes fake arguing or small debates. Makes fun of you most definitely but compared to Eunseok it'd be easy for him to apologize if he realized it was too far or hurt you. Instead of yelling he might talk pretty fast and "word vomit" whenever he's dealing with big emotions or anger (especially with his mercury square mars) and due to this he might go quiet during arguments (if they ever even happen) because he knows when dealing with his outbursts he could say the wrong thing or be hurtful when not meaning to. Likes to be playful and even a bit nonserious and childish in convos and tries to make things lighthearted.

Sagittarius Venus: Sigh omg a bestfriend and boyfriend in one quite LITERALLY. Sag Venus has a hard time settling down because they value their freedom and life path so much and they don't really get into -serious- relationships unless they're genuinely enamored with you and can see you fitting into their expanding life. So once he's with you and realizes he's actually in love with you and it's beyond just flirting and pining he's essentially all in. Freedom will be evident in the relationship and there may not be a super specific power dynamic laid out outside of the cheesy "look at how my gf takes care of me.”. He wouldn't abandon his career for the relationship but wouldn't completely abandon the relationship as a whole either but just know there'd be an attempt to split both. He'd be loving and wouldn't be too restricting, flirts via jokes quite literally he would end up being the funniest man you know especially with that sag mercury on top. He values optimism and change and would implement that into the relationship as well.

Pisces Mars: His Sag Venus paired with his mars could show that he'd be ok with someone being the initiator or taking the lead but would still be ok with wanting your attention and doing things to get it (not in a toxic way ofc) . Like he'd want to impress you with unconventionally/casual romantic things or "best friend dates" that soon lead to more. Aw man he's probably a friends to lovers trope type of man like anton :((. Beyond the Bell's Chimes | Part 43

It was the beginning of a new term, and finally, spring had arrived. Changes were inevitable as students returned for a new term at school. The buzz of excitement filled the air as students gathered around the main bulletin to check their new classes. Some were thrilled to be in the same class as their friends, while others were disheartened to find themselves in different ones.

Amidst the crowd, Jiwoo anxiously scanned the list for her name. Tension gripped her until a familiar voice spoke her name.

"Shim Jiwoo, class 2-A," Seunghan announced, a smile playing on his lips. Jiwoo's face lit up, and she rushed to hug him tightly, relieved to reunite with her best friend after the break.

"Hey, long time no see," Seunghan chuckled, patting her head. "Got worried there for a minute?"

She nodded, pulling away. Jiwoo had returned to her long hair, having undergone eye surgery to bid farewell to her glasses. After Wonbin's departure, Seunghan and her other friends had been a constant source of support, and she was grateful they hadn't let her face those tough times alone, especially Seunghan.

"Yes, I got really worried," she sighed, noticing he had grown taller. "How come I'm not growing like you?" she teased.

"Probably my genes?" he teased back. Suyoung and Sohee joined them, announcing they were in the same class. Excitement rippled through the group.

The crowd made way for Song Eunseok, maintaining his status for the year. Students marveled at him, along with his friends Sungchan and Miyoung. Eunseok had taken over as the student council president, succeeding Shotaro.

Eunseok approached Jiwoo with a bouquet of flowers, congratulating her for becoming the top student of her year. The attention sparked rumors about Jiwoo's relationship with Wonbin and now with Eunseok. Despite Eunseok's approaches, Jiwoo maintained their friendship. She had become the most popular girl at school.

"Thanks, oppa. And congratulations!" Jiwoo smiled, holding the bouquet. She inquired about Shotaro's whereabouts.

"Speaking of which, he's waiting for us in the council room," Seunghan said, and they all headed there. Shotaro was found reminiscing, and it was a bittersweet moment as he passed the torch to Eunseok.

"Shotaro," Jiwoo called, tears welling up as she hugged him tightly. "Congratulations! I'm really going to miss you," she sobbed. Shotaro chuckled, patting her head.

"Silly, I just graduated. I'm not going anywhere. I'll still be around," he assured her. Sohee and Sungchan joined the emotional moment, crying and hugging Jiwoo.

"Hyung, I'm going to miss you!" Sohee cried.

"Me too, Taro-hyung!" Sungchan sobbed, towering but emotional.

"Aigoo, men are such babies," Miyoung sighed, earning a nod of agreement from Suyoung, who found beauty in seeing her boyfriend express emotions.

"Hyung, we prepared something," Eunseok said, handing Shotaro a box. The contents, a picture of them at a school event, brought a wide smile to Shotaro's face.

"This is wonderful," Shotaro said, holding back tears. "Thank you very much, guys. You're the best! I really wish everyone was here before I leave, but I guess we can't help it. I'm rooting for each one of you. Make me proud, and remember I'm just a call away if you need help."

"Jiwoo~" Seunghan approached her desk during lunchtime. "What are you doing?" he asked, observing her engrossed in a book. For Seunghan, Jiwoo had seemingly returned to her old self since Wonbin left. She hadn't shared much about what transpired after Christmas; he only received a call from Wonbin announcing his departure and their mutual decision to break up.

"Reading," she replied without lifting her eyes from the book. Seunghan sighed and decided to playfully snatch the book from her hands, getting up in the process. "Give it back, Seunghan," she frowned.

"Let's have lunch," he suggested with a smile, knowing his persistence could rival her stubbornness. "Come on, it's the first day of school. It's spring."

"Fine," Jiwoo agreed, and they headed to the canteen. Her food preferences remained unchanged; she ordered the same egg sandwich and iced coffee.

"Remember the first time we went here?" Seunghan reminisced, making Jiwoo smile as she nodded. "Can't believe we're doing the same thing again, but this time, we're both paying," he teased.

"Silly," she chuckled. "Why don't you make it a ritual, then? You pay for my first meal at school every year, and I get to be your friend in exchange."

"Hey hey, that is…" Seunghan playfully protested. "I am willing to pay for your friendship," he continued, going along with her and eliciting more laughter.

"Jiwoo!" They turned to see Minseul walking in, apparently having reconciled with Jiwoo after their previous fight. "Glad to see you here. Congratulations on being top 1!"

"Thanks, Minseul," Jiwoo smiled.

"Also, congratulations for being top 2, Hong Seunghan," Minseul added, noticing Seunghan next to Jiwoo. She then inquired about Wonbin's whereabouts. "Where's Wonbin? I did not see him even after winter break."

Seunghan paused, glancing at Jiwoo's reaction. Ready to answer, he waited, but Jiwoo spoke up, "He is in New York."

"Oh, are you still communicating? Of course. He's your boyfriend," Minseul innocently remarked, oblivious to the situation. She noticed Seunghan's solemn expression and Hanbin's as well, prompting her to halt her words. "God, I am sorry. I did not know."

"It's okay, Minseul," Jiwoo reassured her. "Excuse me," she added and walked away, Seunghan following behind. She allowed her feet to lead her until she stopped at the spot where Wonbin and she had their first argument. It dawned on her that it had been a year since she first met him, and despite the passing days, she still missed him.

"Jiwoo…" Seunghan held her shoulder. "Are you okay?" he asked, turning her to face him, only to find her eyes streaming with tears. He sighed and pulled her into a comforting hug. If only he could maintain contact with Wonbin, he would have done so to make it easier for Jiwoo.

"I feel like I have regretted everything for letting him go," she confessed. "It has been different since then, Seunghan."

"It's okay. I understand how you feel," he sighed, patting her back. "I am sure he thinks the same way, but I hope that you do not blame yourself for it." He continued to offer his support, understanding the weight of Jiwoo's emotions.

In an effort to occupy her mind, Jiwoo continued to work as a part-timer in her uncle's coffee shop alongside Seunghan and Sohee. It was nearly 4 in the afternoon when their geometry class finally concluded. While the rest of the class sighed in relief, Jiwoo remained diligently taking notes.

"Jiwoo, shall we go?" Seunghan asked, gently guiding Sohee and Suyoung to join them. Jiwoo closed her book and nodded before rising from her seat. As she was about to leave, one of her male classmates approached, informing her that someone was looking for her outside. Intrigued, Jiwoo stepped out of the classroom to find Anton amidst a crowd of girls vying for his attention, yet his gaze was fixed solely on her.

"Anton?" She blinked, struggling to recognize the middle schooler she had encountered the previous year. Since then, she had paid for the broken headphones before the year's end, but she hadn't anticipated seeing him at her high school. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I'm here to see you. Aren't you glad?" Anton smiled, a sense of pride evident as he finally met her again. Noticing her enhanced beauty and having heard from Suyoung that she had broken up with Wonbin the previous year, Anton boldly declared, "I can be your boyfriend. Can't I?" without missing a beat.

Jiwoo's hope for a quiet term was shattered when Anton surfaced with his immature actions. Her classmates began gossiping behind her back. While it might have been tolerable if he were a regular person, Anton's sudden popularity at school complicated matters. Everyone was enamored with him, and Jiwoo inevitably became a target of resentment due to his public and senseless confession.

"Lee Chanyoung!" Suyoung shouted, grabbing her cousin's shirt angrily and pulling him away from the crowd. The others followed, leaving Jiwoo to take a different path.

Anton observed her retreating figure without a word, shedding his childish demeanor in front of his cousin. Roughly pushing Suyoung's hand away, he glared at her, disapproving of her interference. Suyoung couldn't believe the way he had just acted. "You're unbelievable," she expressed her frustration.

"You're unbelievable," Anton retorted. "I thought you wanted to keep our relationship on the down low. Yet, here you are openly dragging me."

"Why can't you leave Jiwoo alone? I can't stand you. Can't you see she's been through enough problems lately, and we just want her to have a peaceful year?" Suyoung questioned, frustration evident.

"You won't stop me. I'm going to make her mine," Anton declared, revealing his serious intent, a plan he had harbored since the previous year.

"Right. You're immature. So immature. Good luck with that," Suyoung conceded, realizing the futility of reasoning with his immature mindset. She sighed, feeling a sense of pity for him, before turning her back on him. "You better stay away and stop giving her unwanted attention."

...

"Jiwoo! Shim Jiwoo! Wait–" Seunghan was chasing Jiwoo along the street, but her anger had consumed her to the point where she barely heard him. Oblivious to her surroundings, she continued walking and even crossed the road when the traffic light was green. "Jiwoo!" Seunghan shouted and, with a swift move, managed to grab her hand, pulling her back just in time to avoid an oncoming car. Shocked by the close call, Jiwoo realized she had completely lost herself in the moment.

Seunghan held her in a tight embrace, his eyes shut in relief. She gently tapped his arm to get his attention, and he let go to see that she was okay. "Are you alright?" she asked him, concerned. But Seunghan, though relieved that she was unharmed, wasn't okay. He looked at her with fear in his eyes.

"Jiwoo, I know you're not okay, but please let me protect you," Seunghan sighed in defeat. Trying to hold back tears, he didn't want to show any signs of weakness to her. "Please?"

"I'm sorry, Seunghan. I was out of it," she said, helping him fix his clothes. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay," he nodded, composing himself before they finally crossed the street.

They reached the cafe and immediately got to work. Seunghan couldn't shake off the worry for Jiwoo. He observed her every move, even within the confines of the cafe. Since Wonbin left, she hadn't been as present, only appearing at school where she remained quiet and distant. He understood that she needed time to move on, but isolating herself from her friends should never be an option.

"You didn't have to wait for me," Jiwoo said as she saw Seunghan waiting for her outside. He turned around, waving his hand at her and patting her head, a sign of affection. Jiwoo sighed and let him pat her head freely. "Shall we have dinner?"

"Of course," Seunghan said, walking with her to the night market. Since Wonbin left, it was Seunghan who filled the void by her side. He may not fill it completely, but Jiwoo appreciated him a lot. He became close to her family, and Jiwoo became a part of his family.

"Shall I buy something for Woojae?" Seunghan asked as they passed by a donut shop. Jiwoo immediately declined, knowing that Woojae becomes hyper when he eats sugar at night. "Right," Seunghan chuckled, "How about you? Don't you want to eat donuts?"

"It wouldn't hurt if we had that for dinner," she shrugged, "But I want to have some tteokbokki for dinner. I can still save some space for dessert," she said, patting her stomach, causing Seunghan to chuckle.

"Sounds good to me," Seunghan agreed, and they both went to some street stalls to buy tteokbokki. They ordered both spicy ones, and when Jiwoo pulled out her wallet, the man next to her grabbed it and ran off. She stood there stunned until Seunghan started shouting, chasing the man.

She ran after her friend. It was the first time she ran that long and felt like she was running out of breath, but Seunghan was there chasing the man too. She stopped when she couldn't breathe anymore and watched Seunghan catch the man and beat him down, taking her wallet from him before the nearby police grabbed the man.

Seunghan saw her panting heavily from afar and ran towards her, checking if she was okay. "Jiwoo, are you okay?" he patted her back, and it made Jiwoo laugh unexpectedly. Confused, he helped her up, but Jiwoo continued to chuckle in her own thoughts. "Hey, you are scaring me."

"It was my first time running that long," she gasped between her breathy laughter. Seunghan sighed and patted her head. "You are so silly." He chuckled.

"I guessed I needed that run," Jiwoo said as they were both walking to the bus stop. They had finished having dinner at the stall earlier and decided to go for a walk to burn it off. Seunghan chuckled, "Maybe it's a sign that you start getting active?"

Jiwoo frowned at the idea of exercising. Although she had been continuing her muay thai sessions, she wasn't a fan of doing repetitive routines like running or going to the gym. "Do I look that weak?" she raised a brow.

"A little bit?" Seunghan teased, earning himself a light jab on his chest from her tiny hand. "Kidding. You are strong, okay? But I can tell that you are still hurt. So whatever is going on in my heart and mind, it will really affect your body."

"I guess so," she shrugged. "Has he ever called you?" she asked.

"Wonbin?" Seunghan asked but eventually shook his head. "He hasn't. I am sure he'll be calling one day."

"We broke up because I didn't want him to look back, but here I am wishing he'd look back just for once." She smiled bitterly as she held her hand that was missing his warmth. "I missed him so much, Seunghan."

"I missed him too, Jiwoo. I am sure he also feels the same way," he assured her and gave her a pat on the head. Then for a moment, Jiwoo turned to him with her eyes welled in tears, but eventually gave him the softest smile there is. Seunghan almost choked on his own emotions as they rushed in out of the blue. His face turned red, and he instantly looked away when it felt hot.

"I am glad you stayed with me," she told him. "I am thankful for everyone for staying friends with me," she said. "I am trying my best not to become a burden, but lately, my emotions have become too overwhelming to control, and I always end up hurting people in my way. I don't want you guys to worry so much about me, but at the same time, I am glad you do. I've watched people I care about the most leave, and it has left a big spot in my heart, and I don't know how to fill it."

Seunghan couldn't help but embrace Jiwoo, knowing that words wouldn't suffice to comfort her. He wrapped his arms around her small frame and tightly hugged her. "I told you before, I am going to stay with you always, no matter what."
